Everyone said The Graces were witches. And I was going to make them mine. Hey guys it's
Sarah Jane welcome back to my channel today I'm here to bring you a spoiler
free review of The Graces by Laure Eve. So I was sent a copy of this book from the
Willoughby Book club which is a gift bookish subscription service and I have
a link for that in the description bar down below because you can get a little
discount if you're interested. Just like everybody else in her small town River
is obsessed with the Graces. She's pulled in by their glamour their exclusivity
their wealth their beauty and perhaps even their magic. But unlike everybody
else obsessed with the graces River knows exactly what she's doing doesn't
she? So The Graces is a YA book and it's
about this girl called River who moves to a small town, starts a new school and
she becomes obsessed with the Graces. there are three Grace's siblings that go
to the same school as her, there is Summer who's in the same year as River.
River is instantly drawn to Summer and really wants to be her friend. Summer is
cool she has long dark hair she's a bit of a rebel she's everything that River
wants to be. and then there's the two older grey siblings who are twins and
you have Talia and Fenrin. Talia is a lot more reserved than Summer she's one
of those girls who are just effortlessly beautiful and Fenrin, Fenrin is a gift
from the gods. He's blonde he's witty he's got that lazy smile that everybody
loves. And everybody just wants to be friends with the Graces. They're known
for their wealth their glamoUr their exclusivity they have a lot of power
over the small town there's a lot of mystery that surrounds them and they're
very wealthy and they're very private. They tend to keep themselves to
themselves there's a lot of rumors floating around about whether they are
actually witches or not and a lot of strange things seems to happen around
them so people are interested by them and they either want to be in the club
and very close to them or they just want to stay away from them. Now River
desperately wants to be friends for the Graces but rather than suck up to them
she actually acts like she doesn't care she acts like she doesn't want to be
friends with them and it works and soon she's pulled into the fold. Plot wise I'm
not going to talk about it much more than that because I don't want to spoil
anything I feel like it's a book you need to go into knowing as little as
possible. For me this book was like a recipe of the Craft, Charmed, Gossip Girl and Riverdale.
You have that outsider voice narration
like you do with Riverdale you have the wealth and the exclusivity and the
glamour and the beauty of Gossip Girl and then you have the witchiness
of the Craft and Charmed. I really like that the graces had this atmosphere that
they had this beauty this wealth this glamour because I'm so used to hearing
about witches is being the outcast and witches is being the weird ones are
the ones that nobody want to, like wants to associate with and things like that
and this book really turned that on its head. The Graces have this allure that I
don't feel that you get with a lot of other witch books and I really liked
that. It did have a little bit of that Twilight vibe which if someone had said
that to me I would have been like hell no but you know in Twilight when you see
the Cullens come in and they just have this atmosphere around them, that's a
little bit how the Graces are. Everyone knows there's something off about them
but they can't quite put their finger on why and the new girl is really pulled in
by them. This is one of those books that seems to have a lot of polarizing
opinions now some people don't like the book because they expected it to be a
lot more witchy. They expected a lot more witchiness if you like a lot more magic
a lot more spells that sort of thing and this book isn't really like that it's
about creating this atmosphere and as a reader you're reading the book trying to
work out if the Graces are witches. I felt like this book was very atmospheric I
really liked the writing style I was pulled in I loved the characters I feel
like if you understand why River is obsessed with the graces then you buy
into it. If you don't and you don't understand why she's so obsessed with
them I think this book could potentially fall a little bit flat but I did buy
into it she wanted to belong I understood it and then as the book
further progressed and developed it became even more apparent why she was so
desperate to be a part of the Graces. her reasoning is much more layered than what
you first think. now River isn't actually Rivers real name we don't find out what
her real name is, early on in the book she decides to take a new name for herself
and call herself a River and she's a character that on the surface you think
is quite dull, she's quite needy she's desperate to be friends with the Graces
and you you feel like there's something more there but you're not sure why. She's
actually quite an unreliable narrator you're not sure if you can trust her and
I really love that aspect. It ended in a way that made
me so desperate to pick up the second book The Curses which isn't out yet. I'm
just so desperate for the second book because I just want to know what happens
to my precious characters and I feel like the second book is gonna be even
better than the first. I believe the second book is going to be told from a
different perspective which if you've read the Graces that's a really
interesting development. I would recommend this book if you like
characters that are morally grey if you like atmospheric books, I would recommend
this book if you like the whole witchy thing but you also like the intrigue and
the glamour and the wealth of how the other half live if you like. I love the
way that this book combined those elements and for me it was really strong
I gave it four out of five stars because it didn't quite hit that five star mark
for me for a few reasons and I do feel like I'm gonna love the
second one even more so I feel good giving this one 4 out of 5 stars because
hopefully I'm gonna love the second one and that will be even better than the
first. But that's it for my spoiler free review of The Graces if you have read it
let me know what you think down below no spoilers please. But equally if you're
thinking of picking it up let me know that as well because that's always nice.
I just love this book I can't wait for the second one four out of five stars
done. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you guys all again soon, bye!

2x2 QiYi Wuxia | Review [ENGLISH SUBTITLES] - Duration: 5:26.
Hey guys, Maciej here
I will show you a review of 2 2x2 MFG versions - Wuxia M and Wuxia
Let's start with the box
Cube comes to us in black cardboard box and also in this plastic box, which is very useful
It has a cool logo here
The cube is safe in this box
The cube will cost circa 12$ (50zł)
But it's not available on the market right now
Colours in black/white plastic versions are the same as in Valk 3 for example
And in the stickerless version colours are standard as in Wuhua
Very beautiful colours, they are perfect in my opinion
That's big advantage of this cube
Out of the box the cube turns good
It doesn't need breaking in
But it helps and after breaking in it moves even better
Out of the box it's comparable with other great 2x2s
So that's advantage of this cube as well
Sound of this cube: at first non-magnetic version
I wasn't using it too much
because I found magnetic version better
And was using magnetic version much more
Feeling of these cubes is similar to yuxin white
but this cube catches less than yuxin white and doesn't lock up
which is main advantage of this cube
it doesn't pop and construction of this cube allows getting inside it much easier than Moyu Weipo
It's easy to assemble it
Magnets are very weak
what I find great because I don't prefer magnetic cubes
magnets make this cube more stable and don't decrease our TPS
For me Wuxia M is perfect
It's my main 2x2 now
These magnets are perfect
It doesn't get lockups, doesn't pop
standard version is very similar but it's less stable
I would recommend this cube especially for people who like yuxin white or 2x2 dayan
and for people who like smooth feeling
In my opinion it's the best 2x2 on the market
It's easy to get very good consistent times on this cube
Wuxia M - My new main
Huge thanks to QIYI Moffangge Cube for sending me these cubes
See you in next videos, bye!

Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi Force Spirit Walgreens Exclusive Action Figure Review - Duration: 7:45.
Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi Force Spirit Walgreens Exclusive Action Figure Review
- Walgreens have carried a few Star Wars Black Series figures over the years - and in Autum
2017 they will be adding a new one in the shape of this Force Ghost Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Using the existing sculpt from last year, the figure is now cast in translucent blue
shaded plastic and comes with a similarly shaded cloak.
The figure represents Obi-Wan as he appeared to Luke on Hoth and again at the end of Return
of the Jedi.
As it is not pictured, nor accurate to either scene, The packaging takes a swerve away from
Phase 3 for this release and goes with an electric blue colour scheme on the black box.

Apple iPhone 8 Review: Best iPhone Yet... For Now - Duration: 5:39.
Hey there, Alex here.
The iPhone 8 is the best iPhone yet, but it's also the most boring.
It's still using a similar shape and design that has been around for quite a while now,
the bezels are still comically huge in comparison to other modern flagship devices,
the screen still has the same resolution and wide colour gamut as before,
and it's still using the same Touch ID sensor as the last two iPhones.
So what exactly makes it so good?
Well, mainly, everything just works.
And on paper, it's a pretty complete package for a smartphone today.
We start off with the new glass back panel,
which not only gives the back of the iPhone a slightly updated look,
but also finally brings wireless charging to iPhones.
It's using the same Qi wireless charging standard here, which is good since charging
pads are easier to find.
But other than that, we still get the same IP67 rating for water and dust resistance,
and a decent pair of stereo speakers that actually sounds noticeably louder than the
iPhone 7.
And at this point, you should already know that you're not getting a headphone jack.
The next sort of new thing would be the True-Tone display.
We first saw this on the iPads, and basically it changes the white balance of the screen
to auto-magically match the environment I'm in.
The result is a display that never really looks too blueish
or yellowish under different types of lighting, and it looks pretty amazing.
Next up is the new A11 Bionic chipset,
which brings with it an insane amount of processing power,
as well as upgraded bluetooth and wireless radios.
In general day to day stuff, I don't think most people will notice any improvements in
speed over the iPhone 7.
Gaming performance is great as per usual, and the UI performance is fluid and responsive
for the most part.
Occasionally I do see some dropped frames in the UI,
but I'm pretty sure those will be fixed eventually since iOS 11 is so new.
I think all the extra power here is to ensure that the phone will keep performing well for
years to come,
as well as to run those Augmented Reality stuff that Apple seems to be pushing.
I would talk a little bit more about AR,
but there isn't really much apps around to say for sure whether it's going to be
the next big thing,
so I'll leave my judgement for another day.
Despite a slightly smaller battery capacity,
the battery life still seems to give the same ballpark figure as the iPhone 7.
Which is to say decent, but not great.
If you're a heavier user,
you could choose to just leave your phone on a wireless charging pad as often as you can,
or shell out a bit more cash to make use of that new fast charging feature.
The camera is probably where most people will see the biggest upgrade.
It has the same aperture and resolution, but trust me, it's a noticeable upgrade even
from the iPhone 7.
Apple seems to be employing an auto HDR mode similar to the Google Pixel.
Even in situations with high contrast in lighting,
it's still able to pull off a balanced looking shot without making it look too unrealistic.
Apple also decided to tweak the image processing to show off a bit more colours in the shot,
and I think it's something that most people will probably like, myself included.
It's just such an enjoyable camera to use in most lighting situations,
and I've always liked how Apple processes their images.
I did notice that in low light it can struggle with moving subjects though, probably because
of auto HDR too.
There isn't really anything ground-breaking here,
and it's not a giant leap forward in terms of image quality.
But it's a really solid performer, and goes toe-to-toe with the best that Android has
to offer,
and that's not always something I can say about iPhones in the last few years.
Then you get a few additional bonuses like 60fps 4K recording, and 240fps 1080p slow
motion capture.
Both of which works remarkably well, especially with the solid optical and electronic stabilisation
at work.
The front 7MP camera is pretty decent too.
I like the natural looking images in daylight, but it can struggle a little in low light.
If you're looking at the bigger iPhone 8 Plus,
you get some additional features for portrait mode too, but since I only have the iPhone 8,
I'll leave the more in-depth look for when I review the iPhone X which has a dual camera
setup too, so stay tune for that.
Before we wrap this up, let's talk a little about iOS 11.
There is a new slightly customisable control centre, a new files app to manage your online storage,
tweaks to the UI of some apps, additional option and features for screenshots,
a more natural sounding Siri, a Do Not Disturb mode while driving, and many more.
But my favourite is just how I can select multiple apps to rearrange at the same time.
I don't think there are any new must-have features here, and anyway, iOS 11 is available
for older iPhones too.
So I'm not going to talk too much about it.
It's a decent update, but nothing really ground-breaking here for me.
And really that the main story about the iPhone 8 in general.
It's an upgrade to an already well-refined phone.
It's the best version of what we know as the traditional iPhone.
If you just want a tried and tested iPhone that just works,
the iPhone 8 is a decent option that doesn't break the bank.
I don't see much of a point if you're coming from the iPhone 7,
unless you really want that new camera.
In fact, you could even consider getting the iPhone 7 to save yourself a bit of money,
and you won't really be missing out on much.
But if you're coming from anything older than that, it's a really solid upgrade.
The iPhone 8 is the best iPhone for now,
but with the iPhone X on its way in just over a month,
it's already starting to feel little old.
Thanks for watching my review of the iPhone 8.
If you liked it be sure to give me a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel.
Thanks, and see you guys on the next one.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS4) Review - Duration: 6:11.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is one of the best 3D platforming games ever made.
It's bright, it's entertaining and it's so well designed, that only a legendary game
developer like Naughty Dog could pull it off.
It was originally released in 2001, but now it's on the PS4.
Jak and Daxter are two teenagers who travel to the mysterious Misty island, where they
witness evil going on.
When Daxter falls into a pool of Dark ooze, he's transformed into an Ottsel, which is
a combination of an otter and a weasel.
The quest is then on to transform Daxter back to normal and to stop the evil from taking
over the land.
So the tone always maintains this cheeky, cartoony feel throughout and even though the
end of the world may be looming, it always keeps things feeling lighthearted.
Jak strangely remains mute throughout the game, I guess trying to be the traditional
silent protagonist.
But he makes a stark contrast to Daxter, who usually has plenty to say.
Thankfully though most of his yapping is done just in the cut scenes, so we don't have to
listen to him rattle on throughout the gameplay, which is a relief . Plus it's refreshing that
the other characters in the game seem to find him just as annoying as the player does, so
it's almost like we're in on the joke too and fit in with everyone else in the world
in hating Daxter.
The PS4 version of the game looks great, with 1080p up-rendering.
Plus it comes with all of the trophies and fixes that were done to the PS3 version of
the game.
However other than for die hard fans, there's nothing really new here to warrant purchasing
it again.
But for those who perhaps have never played it or for those who want an easy way to play
it again without having to dust off an old console, I highly recommend trying this one
out.
Essentially most of the game is about exploring a bunch of different areas, each filled with
a series of different puzzles and minigames to complete, in order to earn power cells.
You may have to do anything from fishing, herding cows, racing a zoomer and of course
plenty of platforming.
The gameplay variety here, really is one of the game's greatest strengths, as you never
know what to expect next and never get bored with having to do the same thing too many times.
In order to progress to the next set of worlds, you need to collect a certain number of power
cells.
And there are plenty to collect, so say someone just wants to play through the story, then
they can just do the bare minimum in order to advance.
If you need 25 power cells to get to the next area, then you can just earn 25 and move on.
But for any completionists out there, there is a lot more to do.
As well as the power cells, there's also 7 strange spy flies to collect, plus thousands
of eggs to pick up.
So it does a good job of catering for everyone, no matter how much or how little you want
to do.
If you're not enjoying a particular task, then there's no need to struggle at it, because
there's plenty of other tasks that you can do so you can just skip it and try your hand
at something else.
It keeps the pacing of the game going along nicely, almost as if it's like a sandbox game
where it's kind of up to you when you want to move on and do something else.
This also gives some good incentive to go back and explore older areas, because there's
a good chance that you may have missed something.
In fact, on completing the game I went back to explore and even came across an entire
boss that I had missed the first time round.
Obviously you can't skip everything in the game and that's why there's these targets
put in place, with things like you need 45 power cells to lift a boulder that's blocking
the way.
These targets do actually provide some incentive for you to try a little bit harder than you
might otherwise, especially if you're very close to finishing a task, but not quite there.
For example, if you're only a few seconds away from beating the track record in this
zoomer race, then sure, you can skip it and go on to do something else.
But it makes you think, maybe you're going to be stuck for power cells later on, and
presumably then the trials are going to be harder.
So perhaps it's worth persevering now, seeing as how it may save time later.
As it turns out the levels don't necessarily get much harder, but they do get much bigger.
Stepping into one for the first time is kind of like in an RPG when you enter a new town
and just see hundreds of side quests pop up from all the different townsfolk.
It's like being given the keys to a new playground, with lots different areas to explore and new
jobs to complete.
The characters here that give some of the quests
are all interesting and filled with personality.
The tasks that they give are sometimes interesting, although for some reason too often they simply
want you to give them 90 eggs.
And this happens a lot.
And why even 90?
100 would seem the more obvious, rounded number- I wonder if there is a reason behind it?
Anyway, Naughty Dog did a great job of making all of the different areas feel alive, with
no loading times between them and even a weather and day/ night cycle to make it feel more
like a real environment rather than just a stage in a game.
Judging distances can often be tricky in a 3D platforming game, but here it's made a
lot easier by the use of your shadow as a guideline as to where you're going to land.
Overall, the controls, with your jumping and climbing all feel great- almost like an early
build of an Uncharted game.
The timing of the double jump may take a bit of getting used to and there is the occasional
platform which you feel like you should be able to jump onto, but can't and this is a
little disappointing, because it kind of breaks the immersion, when what works in one area,
for no good reason, doesn't work in another.
Jak and Daxter is a well crafted platformer, that always has you doing something different.
It controls well, making it a world that you want to jump straight back into, even after
completing it- just to collect a few more of those eggs.
And any game that makes you WANT to hundred percent it, must be doing something right.
Until next time, thanks for watching.

5 THINGS: on the AJA Helo - Review, how to control, who should use it, and quality samples (ep. 216) - Duration: 12:53.
On this episode of 5 THINGS, we're going to take a look at the AJA Helo; a device that records and streams for your next production.
Let's get started.
Hello and welcome to another episode of 5 THINGS - a web series dedicated to answering
the 5 burning tech questions you have about technologies and workflows in the media creation
space. Tech stuff I dig, and how it's used. I'm your host Michael Kammes.
I mentioned a few episodes ago how I was looking forward to kicking the tires on the then new
AJA Helo. Well, here I am, courtesy of the fine folks at AJA. Let's get this review started.
The AJA Helo, in a nutshell, does 2 distinct things: it records an SD or HD video signal,
and also streams a signal to just about any streaming service you can find. Pretty simple, right?
But before I get too much deeper, let's take a quick look at where the Helo may work
for you in a production environment.
Here we see a typical small production setup. We have our cameras…and we have our capture
device that takes in the cameras and other video sources….next we have the switcher
which cuts between angles, adds graphics, and mixes audio…..and now we have our streaming
device to get out to the internet, and lastly, the webhost or CDN that takes our signal and
shares it with the world.
The Helo is that streaming device, and as an added bonus can also be a recording device.
Let's take a look at how the Helo does this.
First, the unit has 2 separate encoders. This allows the Helo to encode the incoming signal
in two discreet ways – one as a local copy, and one in your streaming format du jour.
This is pretty cool because it means you're not stuck with an archival version that was
optimized for live streaming – it can be recorded at a higher frame rate and frame size so you
can edit it after the event is over.
This recorded copy can either be written to a local USB drive or RAID, to a network mountpoint,
or even to an SD card. As the encoder is limited to h.264, and tops out at 20Mbps,
all of these onboard storage methods provide plenty of bandwidth with which to record the
incoming signal. 20Mbps is pretty cool; as it's a higher data rate than most other
portable encoders out there.
Speaking of the incoming signal, the Helo has an SDI and an HDMI spigot, however only
1 can be used at a time. Aside from embedded audio on these inputs, there is also an unbalanced
1/8" jack if you're into the second system audio kinda thing. Now, the Helo handles signals
up to 2K at 60 frames per second, however, it tops out recording and streaming at 1080p60.
1080p60 - now, this is really important.
"This means something. This is important."
1080p60 is often sought after for sporting events and gamers where higher frame rates
and frame sizes are needed. Many other portable encoders on the market will
top out at 720p60, or at 1080 with interlaced or slower frame rates.
The Helo has the ability to stream to virtually any of the platforms you'd want to stream to,
via RTMP and RTSP.
RTMP will cover a vast majority of the popular CDNs, including YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch.
What the Helo does lack is out of the box are pre-baked CDN presets. However, you can
easily create those manually inside the box for re-use. Thus, you do need to understand
what the CDN you're using is looking for. Luckily, a simple Google search for the RTMP
settings for the popular platform you'd like are usually widely published.
A few things you need to do, handy person. As the unit is new, firmware updates have
been coming frequently. So, go to the AJA website and download the latest firmware.
With this being the IBC season, look forward to new firmware. Also, you'll want to download
the AJA eMini Setup Utility, and install it. This will allow you to update the unit's
firmware to get the latest features and bug fixes.
Now, let's get the unit some juice with the included power supply, and connect the
supplied USB cable to the unit; and plug the other end into your computer. Launch the Setup
utility on your computer and update the unit's firmware.
OK, now we need to get a signal to the unit via HDMI or SDI.
If using this for streaming, this will come from your switcher's output, or even the
output of your camera if your production is more of a "set it and forget" type of affair.
Now, don't forget your separate audio line if your audio is coming in from somewhere else.
Now, the unit also has an HDMI, SDI and Audio output as well, so you could route these outputs
to a monitor and mixer to check things, or, place the Helo in front of your switcher in
order to have a clean recording from your camera– also called an ISO of your signal;
albeit in an h.264 format.
On the rear of the unit is the LAN port, where you'll want to run an Ethernet cable to
the Helo and out to your router or switch so you can do the initial setup and control
the Helo. There is no WiFi on the unit, or a way to use a portable USB LTE modem, so
you'll need to ensure you have a hardwired line during the setup process.
I know, They cut the hard line. There's no time. You're going to have to get to another exit.
Your unit should be set to DHCP, out of the box
so it should grab an IP address from your network when you plug it in.
There is a button to launch the web page that controls the unit.
You should probably at this point decide that if you are going to record the incoming signal,
where is that recording going to land? If it's on a USB drive, that drive should be
USB 2.0 or 3.0, and be formatted as ExFAT or Fat32. This can be a RAID as well. These
are cross platform, folks, not Apple HFS or Windows NTFS. If you're going to an SD Card,
make sure those are only formatted as ExFat. Lastly, if you're going to a network mountpoint,
ensure you're using NFS or CIF protocols.
We've got two ways to control the unit. We've got end user controls...
...and then the way I like.
The end user control consists of physical buttons on the Helo for recording and streaming,
so you can engage or disengage each of the functions independently of one another.
Very simple, and very handy if nontechnical folks are going out to record or stream an event.
And now the way I LIKE to handle things – my way.
We do this my way. You shoot and you shoot to kill.
Get as many as you can. All you gotta do is just not miss.
The Helo gets setup and can be controlled via your web browser; this is actually where
you setup the parameters of the end user controls. While the web browser access makes things
easy and AJA gets points for functionality, their graphical interfaces have never been
the most eye catching. Function over Form. If you've ever used their other converters
and recorders, like the FS series or Ki Pro family, then the interface will be very familiar.
It's from here you can monitor the status of the unit, and see a summary of the parameters
that have been selected and saved on the Helo. At the top of every page is a current graphical
representation of the recording and streaming status of the unit, and you can use the mini
icons here to bounce back and forth between the recording and streaming functions.
If I haven't beat this into your head already, this is also where you can independently alter
the recording and streaming parameters of the Helo, and then save them, which AJA calls
"profiles".
This is where things can get slightly confusing.
The Helo has "profiles" for recording and streaming - 10 profiles for each, actually.
However, these profiles are not the same as "Presets", which are system wide groups of settings that
you can save to the Helo.
For example, you may have a recording profile for 720p, and a streaming profile for 1080p.
These are controlled independently, but a preset would configure both streaming and
recording profiles in 1 setting – a preset.
Through this methodology you could mix and match profiles to create specific presets.
Perhaps you could use this for various physical streaming locations, coupled with various
camera gear and the available bandwidth at that location.
Of the myriad of controls for each encoding parameter, there are some of note. You can
change the level of your h.264 encode, from constrained, to baseline, to main, and to
Plus, you can set the naming convention of your recorded clips, and you have the option of
MOV or MP4 wrapped h.264 clips, or simple TS streams.
What I dig is the easy "oh [censored expletive] what's wrong menu" on the left hand side, where
you get immediately notified of any errors that may be occuring.
Lastly, if you don't want to use the hard buttons on the front, or use the webpage,
Helo can take a calendar entry, like a Google calendar appointment or an ICS file to automatically
trigger recording or streaming at a predefined date and time.
Very simple.
I'm very impressed with the image. More so with the streaming than recording, but
I'll get into that in a minute.
Often when you compress a video signal down, one of the first things to be lost are the
details in the blacks. The details in the darks translate
very well from the Helo.
I did over 3 dozen recording and streaming tests, encompassing various record times and
at multiple recording and streaming bitrates, with no hiccups attributed to the Helo.
I did find with very early firmware releases that I would sometimes get a frame or 2 video hit
while streaming on YouTube, but that seems to have been rectified.
This does bring up an important point: and that is, always do a test from the location
you're streaming from before the day of the event. Congested networks and limited
upload speeds can cause you to drop frames while streaming. Just because the unit can
stream at 20Mbps, doesn't mean you need to.
"They did something awful, but that doesn't mean you should, too."
"AII that's Ieft in you now is mean and horrible!"
As far as recording, I'm not a huge fan of recording into h.264.
I figure if I'm going to record an ISO, or record the output of the switcher,
I want something that's high enough quality that I can manipulate the image later in post, whether
that be a color pass, or maybe even a re-edit…or even for archival purposes. H.264's tend to
fall apart after subsequent encodes.
On the flip side, if you don't plan on doing any manipulation of the recorded video, you
now have a great looking recorded h.264 that won't take forever to upload for VOD later.
I've posted some examples of how the recorded image looks. At the address below, I have
short clips of the source recorded media, as well as the recording in various formats
from the Helo. You can download 'em and see how they look.
Keep in mind, when you stream to a CDN, that is, after the Helo has encoded the video,
the CDN may transcode your media further, so your image may take another hit in quality.
Thus, it's best practice to always test what the end signal looks like before going live.
Portable switching devices like the TriCaster by Newtek are fantastic. But in addition to
the switching, audio mixing, and graphic capabilities, they often are handling recording and streaming
as well. This is a lot to burden 1 machine with. I like to spread out the points of failure
if possible, and the Helo helps with that.
The Helo is also a hardware encoder, rather than the traditional software encoder that portable switchers
or software switchers use, and hardware encoders traditionally mean better visual quality – and
less potential for hiccups due to a computer system and it's OS and everything else that
the computer is doing.
It's also great for folks who handle events that need to be streamed but may not have
uber technical people at the event. Churches and schools are a great example. The hard
buttons on the front make it totally simple to operate.
"She's right. We just have to keep this simple. We can do this."
The small footprint of the unit also makes it portable and lightweight for the aforementioned
remote broadcasts.
For sporting events and gamers, the larger frame size of 1080 and the progressive 60 frames
ensure you're getting as much info per frame as possible without compromising.
Lastly, and something many users overlook, is the value of support. For years, AJA has
had world class support, and knowledge of not just their products, but how their product
fits into typical workflows. It's important to have that backup behind you when you jump
into new gear.
Have more AJA Helo questions other than just these 5? Ask me in the Comments section.
Also, please subscribe and share this tech goodness with the rest of your techie friends.
Special thanks to the fine folks at AJA for their technical and financial support of this review.
Until the next episode: learn more, do more – thanks for watching.

WP Video Press Review | WP Video Press Demo + Bonus - Duration: 12:43.
WP Video Press Review | WP Video Press Bonus
I just want to show you the main dashboard of WP video press plug-in how
it works and this the the easy way of embedding YouTube videos on your site
and how to edit them the very very simple way okay so once you install the
plug-in you just go to your left here and go into the main dashboard okay of
WP video press ok so here's your main dashboard where you have all the list of
all the videos you have added and the shortcode you will need just a copy and
embed on any page or post of your site okay so it's only one string of code
with all the different options you have choose for that video let me show you
how that works okay it's very easy it's straightforward no one will have any
problem to embed a video edit and and control all your video lists from one
main dashboard okay so let me show you how this works you want to go here where
it says add new and you put any name you want here this is how your video so you
can remember it's your video so we'll put
wp video press and call it demo to okay so once your name is done what you want to
do here is just copy and paste any YouTube video URL you want to see or you
want to edit inside your site so just go into YouTube and grab and copy any URL
okay so we'll do that right now this is the URL you need to copy let's
copy that and go here and paste that you can preview the video inside the main
dashboard here if you press play it will just play as a normal YouTube video
as you can see it has all the branding the logo the full screen everything
normally want you embed a YouTube video k so that's what we want to add it now
to make it more ourself and more unbranded in in a sort of way okay so
the first thing you want to do here is select if you want to embed a video size
with what percentage or pixels okay so if you want to do it you can do it two
and a hundred percent and I'll show you that in a minute one me just embed this
test okay then you'll be able to select the aspect ratio of your video and you
can do it square on standard 4:3 or recommended this is widescreen 16:9 okay
we always go with that your video quality you can go from small medium
large and then the HD option 720 that's great and obviously if the video has the
option of HD 1080 I will go with that okay here's where you select if you want
your video one somebody goes to your page to autoplay or not we'll fill it no
now and then I'll change it to show you how this works okay the show control
options this part of here are all the control options you can just enable that
to show them or not we leave it at the s now and then we'll change it show
related videos normally when you pause YouTube video inside the a once you
embed a video inside your site it will show related videos and sometimes those
related videos have nothing to do with you okay and people just can click on
them and go away from a site you don't want
to have that also at the end of videos you have all related bitties that maybe
don't have anything to do with you or with your business and you really don't
want to to lose that traffic okay so I'll show you that we put it yes to see
how this works on how we can change it easily inside the main dashboard here
enable looping this is when the video just runs and finishes it will auto
start again from the beginning if you want you can put that yes or no
the show information is this header you've got on all your YouTube videos
when you embed them the name and the share options that's the show
information option enable fullscreen yes or no this is the little box here you
can have you just press that and you go fullscreen
yes now and show on occasions yes or no this is very easy and also the YouTube
logo yes or no if you wanted to show it in your controls okay the video features
I will go in deeper detail with and with other videos you can scroll video and
watch them there and I'll show you one by one
how you can engage and use the Gager effects with any kind of baby okay also
the thumbnail scroll option and obviously the great feature of video
frames okay this is the best part I'll show you at the at the end of this how
this works okay so let's go by now once you've got your settings done and you
think it's okay you just want to go here and press publish that's any normal work
press and you'll get your video code okay so you can just copy from here
or you can go back to the main player list dashboard this is exactly the same
code with just coffee okay so you have two options you can grab it there you
know I normally grow it here it's it's easy okay and here's when you just copy
this you go into the pages option now and you grab any any this is one of my
another product of mine are just using this as a test okay so let's grab this
and change our code just copy there and let's update this and let's view the
page now that our video has been a myth okay
you see it's only one string of code straight easy in any page of post all
the all the editing is done on your dashboard okay you don't do anything
else here so here we as you see the the video has been in bed as we decided it's
not Auto plating you have to press play once you press play you see the control
options appear the YouTube logo will appear the fullscreen option would
appear as we have said before okay and as you see it I pause the video and here
are all related videos that come up and if you have a member site or content you
want to see clients you want you don't want people just clicking away from from
your main webpage back to YouTube okay so that's something you would like to
change so let's change that in our in our options here and I'll show you on
just to show you how this works if we put it to a 50% we'll see how how this
video shrinks
so let's put on a plate to show you how it just out of place when when you have
it selected let's take the controls out put it now and I'll show you at home and
let's take away there are the related videos okay so when we force we don't
have any related videos inside our our site okay let's take away the the
fullscreen enable show annotations no one know well let's take the logo also
you just change that as you want and you update and then what you have to do here
is just refers your face and let's see if the changes we've just done I reflect
them and see how it is is okay the video has shrank to a 50% as we decided to put
here the video has just autoplay and you Susan and as you see I'm just press
force and there are no related videos here anymore okay as you can see the
control bars there's no YouTube logo or fullscreen option okay so see how the
video goes maybe I want to change the size of this and make it a little bit
bigger let's go for let's taste the pixels and maybe you want to go 640
just update and refresh the place and see how this changes okay
see how it easiest for you to just change and you don't have to deal with
any straight strange code inside your pages or inside your posts you just do
all the editing of the video settings inside your main dashboard with this
plugin okay so see how easy it is and how how you can just change things
very fast without having to to deal with code okay so anyone can do this anyone
can embed videos on their web page from now on okay there's no there's no way
people can make it wrong so just to show you how easy maybe you don't want this
video and you want and any other related video so just to show you how how quick
it is let's see maybe you want this video to show on your so just copy
let's just copy the new video URL from YouTube and change it here let's paste
that and preview to see if it's correct as you seem to change just update our
changes let's see let's refresh our page and see if the change is up need to see
if the video will autoplay and will change ok so we have a new video now
working in our site and in C this was so easy to do ok with just one string of
code we were unable to to make this changes okay so that was the first video
please gold scroll down and see the different demos we'll put together and
show you the different features we got on how to to edit and have great effects
with your viewers okay and I will show you how great this plugin is and how you
will be able to embed any kind of video and an an easy way okay so thanks for
watching

[APL tactical pistol light - Night Evolution] Review | Airsoft FR - EN subs - Duration: 5:47.
Hello everyone and welcome to this video presentation of the APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution
You can find this flashligt in 2 colors: black and tan
Then, this flashlight is proposed in a simple package but with a lot of various information on it about the characteristics about this one
And we will find inside to begin, in a small plastic satchet, an extra mount for the flashlight and its Allen adjustment key
A simple and effective instruction manual in English
In a second satchet, you will find 2 Night Evolution and Inforce stickers to stick, if desired, on the flashlight
And of course to finish, the APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution, here with a black finish
This flashlight is mainly made of ABS, only the rails and the locking/unlocking latch is made of metal
The glass is advertised as being tempered and treated with an anti-reflection coating
Note that no marking is present
To insert the battery, unscrew the front part
Then insert this one according to the direction indicated by the small sticker next to it, which can be removed later
The compatible batteries are the CR 123A as I inserted here or the 16340
This flashlight works thanks to 2 paddle siwtchs on the back which have the same function
A short press will light the lamp in a constant mode and a second press will switch it off
A long press will cause a constant light that will cease when you release the pressure on the paddle switch
Of course, the second paddle switch works exactly the same way, allowing an ambidextrous use of this flashlight
The last available mode is the strobe, to activate it, you will have to do a double quick press
The flashlight is fixed to your bb gun thanks to a removable rail system
2 different systems are available as standard to ensure installation on most bb guns
To install a fastening system, simply remove the visible screws with the supplied Allen key and then screw them back back
To disengage the clamping system and allow the installation of your flashlight, you will have to lower the lateral lever
Then install the flashlight by matching the slot correctly on the bb gun with the embossed relief on the mount
To finish, lower the lever and your flashlight is fixed
This flashlight perfectly fits the shapes of my S17 Stark Arms
The operation paddles switchs are well accessible, no worries to turn on the flashlight
The presence of 2 paddles at the back, allows an ambidextrous use of the bb gun and the flashlight
Removing the flashlight is very fast, raise the clamping lever and remove this one
To conclude, this APL tactical pistol light from Night Evolution is a pleasant surprise
It is compact, has a good finish and illuminates perfectly for use in airsoft
Its shape fits very well my bb gun and thus allows a fast handling of this one, in addition to being ambidextrous
Thanks to you for watching this video
If you appreciatted it, feel free to leave a little like, or, more importantly, share it with your friends
You can also leave a comment if you have questions about this flashlight or if you want also to give your feedback
Be sure to subscribe to the channel and my various social media to not miss any future publication and also show your support
See you very soon, in a next video

Gotham Review - Season 1 / Episode 3 : "The Balloonman" - Part 1 - Duration: 14:38.
Welcome everyone, welcome to Geek Worlds
Welcome on this third episode...
of the Gotham Review with Skarr here
And I forgot the name of the episode again
The first one was "Pilot", the second "Selina Kyle",
The third : "I'm Batman"
Wasn't it Balloonman...
Ah yes!! Balloonman or Balloonboy... But I think Balloonman
Something with the word "balloon" in it
Yeah the Ballon guy...
So... On the last episode
What happened, so we got Fish Moon who had her boyfriend beaten up
Yeah
By the way, I was saying in the review
that Lazlo rang a bell, because the boyfriend's name was Lazlo
And I did some research since, to know why it rang a bell
Lazlo is a villain name in Batman
Actually I think all the names they'll throw at us will be villains names. So what villain was he?
Well... I forgot the name exactly
But I'm going to find it in 5 seconds
It's Professor Pyg...
What?!
It's Professor Pyg, it's him...
Errk... What kind of shit name is that?!
Anyway
Aaah, but Professor Pyg, it's a good one
To sum up it's someone who's
To sum up it's someone who's disfigured
and who because of that spends his time to wish to improve people
by doing horrid esthetic surgeries
and at the end he takes any trace
self conscience, which turns them into...
some kind of zombies for him...
a great Brazil fan
And he is in Arkham Knight by the way
What's funny in Arkham Knight, it's that Professor Pyg
he only talks by singing operas
All right!
So, he's rather a funny villain...
So is Lazlo Professor Pyg, I saw some theories on this
But I don't think so...
Might be a small reference
Yeah might be a reference because first Professor Pyg is really
unfamous as a villain
and second of all, I don't see what he would do in the story, really...
Still Killer Croc in the last episode, I was disappointed not to see him....
Because it would have been funny to see him, but really Professor Pyg it would've been too much
Yeah that's it... That's those villains that
a lot of them had that very funny side
in their way of being a villain
in their relationship with Batman
They didn't kill many people then...
In the Golden Years, they didn't kill many people...
Well to be fair Catwoman, you don't see her killing a lot of guys
Well here she takes eyes off with her bare hand
Yeah, talking about that!
Small transition between...
By the way, I had... while editing the thing
for the second episode... I watched this scene again
I'm sorry! But the guy doesn't come just saying :
"Aah my God, she scratched my eyes!"
The guy had his eyes clawed off
I think he's on the ground, pissing blood everywhere, and dying!
And while we're at it... no.
attack the eyes is a good thing.... but
to pick them off or claw them like that
*meow*
If you don't have true retractible claws like a cat
you see, a good one centimenter... Little Raptor like
No, you can't have that kind of results, so kids...
if you aim for the eyes, attack like that
or driving your fingers in but not by clawing them off
Why do you give them that kind of advice ? You're mad?!
well if they are snatched by criminals like that...
But you're totally mad!!!
So the rest, Fish Moon got her boyfriend beaten up
First meeting between Selina Kyle and Gordon
Who just can't stop hitting on everyone...
And by the way, we feel the big influence of...
Burton
Burton yeah with ...
Helena Bonham Carter...
no it's Michelle Pfeiffer
I was talking about...
AH YES! For the Catwoman, yes...
about Catwoman and her very naughty side...
Yeah, very adult....
No really the metaphor of I am a cat
and we're going to do it all the way...
It's beginning to be annoying
That's true
I know we're only two episodes in and if it goes on like this, it's going to break my balls, but...
I'm sorry, it's already a pain in the ass
each time she appears you have to remind us she's a cat...
next episode she's got a whip, and the next she's got her full leather costume
by episode 4, we already got a Catwoman in small size
like the... like the... shit
She would be freaking cute!
Hang on, she'd be cute as hell
What else... Bruce Wayne listens to metal
Yeah
Alfred Pennyworth
he comes back at some point to ask Gordon to support
Bruce Wayne in his suicide attempts
like a Batman Telltale
Like a Batman Telltale
By the way, Batman Telltale and Gotham
have a lot of similarities I fear
Between the Waynes who are mixed in weird business
Well, at least it's what seems to be induced by Carmine Falcone
That Bruce Wayne is a total depressive
who listens to metal and stuff
He isn't as depressive in the Batman Telltale
No, that I know
It's going to be bothering me real quick
because I already didn't like the storyline in the Telltale, so it's to have that
No, here it's more like the kid in "The Sixth Sense"
"I see dead people!"
Yeah... Your parents...
So we had two villains
Aaah yes!!!
The Nazi couple
That's right, the big Willy Wonka fan
I'm crossing fingers for them to come back
because they are interesting characters
for once
and then we have Cobblepott... who had...
some troubles with his kidnapping because nobody wants to believe him...
It's really a shitty life for Cobblepott
On the other hand, what I would find interesting
It's that he turns the kid
so that the kid enters his gang because you're in the kid's shoes
your mother doesn't want to believe you're kidnapepd
and the guy has to threaten you to take your eyes off
because your mother didn't want to believe it was no joke!
I think there's some way to take advantage to turn him against his mother
make him kill his parents and join the gang...
could be the first gang member
could be...
Well... On that, we're not going to talk around it for 4000 years
and we'll start... the episode straigt away. So episode 3
"Balloon..." "Balloonthing"
1...2...3...
Well didn't take long...
I'm back home
Aah, it hits the spot.
Almost sound like a Donald Trump
Our friend with the balloons
Err... yeah...
Yeah, but it won't be enough to lift him...
You played "Up" to much, guys!
You watched that movie too much
What the fuck is that?!
DO SOMETHING!!
THAT'S TRUE
THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT
Yeah... no...
Doesn't work that way...
Does... *gibberish*
Is Physic respected here in Gotham?!
No, because you took a more realistic approach of Gotham... Keep the realism
But, wait, wait...
So the weather balloon popped out and crashed or it flew...?
Noo, it flew right into the heavens
That's right, he joined the Team Rocket... Well allright..
Who's that?!
The journal manager in Spiderman!
Bill Cranston?!
Wait...
Is he Bryan's father?!
Still look like the journal manager in Spiderman
Once again, a very nice guy...
STOP IT, SERIOUSLY GUYS! PUT SOMEONE HONEST FOR FUCK SAKE!!
JUST ONE!
For now, Edward Nigma is an honest guy
You see in Game of Thrones it worked because we had Littlefinger
But the others tried to be honest at some point!
Here I feel like having one Tyrion facing 5000 Littlefingers!
Is she going to snatch some milk?
What don't you understand in the word : do your job?!
Why did you steal a pen?!
*gibberish*
no but Physic is totally being raped in this episode
Between the girl who sees in the dark...
and Ballonboy...
Why?!
If she gets out of the cuffs, there it wouldn't make any sense
because Selina Kyle is never caught
You were saying?
Fuck you...
No, but you feel it coming she's going to get away with the cuffs but no!
makes no sense...
At that age, Selina Kyle is never caught by the police...
she cannot..
"My little pig..." you know she gives animal names to all of her boyfriends
Allen is going to die in season one... maybe before the end of the season, I think
maybe season 2...
she was only waiting for that to piss him off again
You work in the Police or not?
Ah no... shame
no just his money
100? a 100, that's all?
Weird
he'll be able to feed himself
he's still limping...
A tuna sandwich
BECAUSE HE'S A PENGUIN!!!!
I'm fed up
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!
What is he doing?!!
What's he doing?!!
Pirates of the Caribbean
At first, I thought the guy was going to strike him with his stick, just like that!
No this scene was brutally introduced
too brutal
I agree
a good swordfight, it refreshes you in the morning...
I ALREADY HAVE NIGHTMARES
WHERE I BEAT THE LITTLE MERMAID
Those two shitheads
But really those guys are vultures!!
That's right!
If you want to bang his wife, just tell him...
I'm sure he'd be delighted to do it with you too..
in bed with your wife!
imagine if it were true...
"ah and you insult me?" / "No, no I swear it's true... I was in bed with your wife!"
So he's gonna kill the guy with the right shoes
Seriously?
I dunno...
couldn't he just ask where he bought his shoes?
it's to do comedy shows on tragedies
AH NOW YOU REMEMBER?!
FUCK IT, TOOK THEM TWO EPISODES TO REMEMBER THAT
Damn, imagine you do dig up
just under the pier you find a mountain of corpses
they always go to the same pier... Well... This one is going to die
Run...
Fast!
Is he a dwarf?
Looks like it...
Hey wait, it's the...
it's the cop...
Works not that well, I fear
He steals his money?!
No, but wait... You don't make the connexion with the ballons, the cuffs?
Ah, he's so stupid that guy...
Grab the stand, grab the stand, grab the guy, grab the stand...
Move your arms!!
Grab the wall
Well he's not really in range
He could swing
Yeah, that's true... That's true, well done...
As you can see, those kind of plans have dozens of weaknesses

Harwich Dressage Bridle Review - Duration: 1:16.
JEN: Hi, I'm Jen.
I work in Merchandising, and today I'm reviewing the Harwich Dressage Bridle by SmartPak.
My horse is just starting to get back into work, so I was looking for a high-quality
dressage bridle, and this one fit everything that I was looking for.
This bridle features traditional styling and is made from a really high quality vegetable-tanned
leather.
I love that this bridle features a good amount of padding on it: it's padded on the noseband,
browband, and also on the monocrown.
This bridle is made using stainless steel hardware so I know it will hold up to daily use.
Plus, grip reins are also included, so it's a really great value.
It was important to me to find a bridle with a monocrown to help reduce any pressure points
across my horse's poll.
I found it was difficult to find a monocrown bridle at this price range, so that's really
what sold me on this bridle.
This bridle is perfect for any rider just looking for a good quality dressage bridle
to use for either everyday schooling or for showing.
This bridle is really easy to care for.
I just wipe it down after every ride with just a basic leather cleaner and occasionally
I'll put some conditioner on it, as well, to keep the leather soft.
My mare typically wears a horse size bridle and that's what I bought in this Harwich Dressage
Bridle, and it fit her perfectly.
I'm Jen, and the Harwich Dressage Bridle by SmartPak is the perfect option for any dressage
rider.

Welcome back to the middle of Butt-Fuck-Nowhere
It looks like we have some hungry wolves running around
This hare has activated his periscope
He can definitely see impending doom on the horizon
He's like: "Yup, I gotta get to a safe house"
The wolf yells out: "Too late, you little fuck knuckle"
"My family is gonna eat you for breakfast"
"We're gonna munch on your guts"
"We're gonna chew on your legs"
"We're gonna grind up your furry tail and use it as oregano"
The hare yells back: "You need to cook your meat if you want the seasoning to taste good, you dumb cunt!"
Perhaps not the smartest thing to say when you have a wolf [caught] on your heels
Oh crikey, there's two of them
If I was a hare, I would be shitting bricks
Luckily, I am a human
Anyway, the trash-talking continues
The hare says: "What do you call two bulls on a hunting trip?"
"What?"
"I dunno, just probably a couple of dickheads that are probably hungry"
The wolf says: "That's a shit joke"
The hare's like: "Your wolf mama is so fat, she couldn't even catch a tortoise"
The wolves point out that it was in fact the hare who lost the race to the tortoise
The hare says: "Fuck, that's actually a solid retort"
And now he's gonna get caught!
Noo!
He manages to wheel around and stay out of trouble
Gee whiz
The hare is a cheeky wanker
But he's got the skill to back it up
He says: "What do you call a wolf who can't catch meat?"
"I-I don't know"
"A vegetarian by default, because he SUCKS as a predator!"
Yeah, the hare is not a comedian
But look at him go!
The wolves reckon it's not over till the fat lady sings
The hare says: "Don't body-shame fat ladies"
"You're stereotyping opera singers"
The wolf is like: "What?! You called my mum fat"
"Ah, fuck this guy"
Yeah nah yeah, the hare has definitely won this
He's bored
He's just standing around, looking for more adventures in the outback
