British Picnic Food Simple Strawberry Jam Recipe For Clotted Cream or Cream Tea - Duration: 6:13.Hi, it's British cook, welcome to my British Royal wedding Wimbledon picnic
[INTRO MUSIC]
Hey, welcome to British Cook, today, I'm gonna be showing you how to make strawberry jam at home. It's really quick , really simple
So easy
You won't believe it. It goes with your clotted cream with your scones or for your British cream tea
Enjoy this. It's amazing. This jam doesn't require any special equipment at all doesn't require bottling or sterilization
It keeps for about a week in the fridge. It takes about 15 minutes to make. It's so good
Best thing you can do though is make it a couple of hours before you make those scones
delicious
[SUBSCRIBE NOISE]
So to make the strawberry jam you need about 500 grams of strawberries
We're gonna take the tops off these give them wash makes sure they are nice and clean before get started
Delicious who fancies a strawberry just have a quick look at those delicious local British strawberries gonna get these chopped up now into rough pieces
So there we go, 500 grams of roughly chopped British strawberries delicious
To go with the Strawberries. We need about 100 grams of sugar. This is caster sugar
It's a very fine baking sugar. You can use any kind of sugar if you really want to
That's about half a cup, just over half a cup of sugar in America
So for this recipe, you'll still need lemon. So what I tend to do, you need to clean the lemon off
Anyway, I tend to just literally pop it in a jar or container. Look at the jam in. I'll just fill it with boiling water
It's a cleans off the outside of lemon. This is an unwaxed wax lemon
You can have a waxed lemon if you want to but going to be grating this into the jam
Top tip for the Strawberries if you see strawberries reduced buy them
If they're a little bit overripe buy them perfect for making jam with absolutely brilliant
You want them as sugary sweet
You know almost as soft as you can get them pop the strawberries into a saucepan and just aren't mashed up with a masher here
This is why having extra ripe or very very ripe strawberries really really helps
So two or three minutes of mashing with a potato masher
Grab yourself a saucer like this. We're gonna pop this in the fridge and you'll see why in a minute. Hey, it's British cook
I'm doing an awesome giveaway for anyone that's watching this right now. All we need to do is like this video and
we know in a comment down below number one how many times I say delicious in this video and number two how many spoons of clotted cream
I put on this giveaway is in addition to my patreon one has open to anyone who's watching this right now
It's gonna be a super secret surprise prize try saying that lots of times
[CAR ENGINE]
[MUSIC]
So next we're gonna grab that hundred grams of sugar about half a cup of caster sugar and just pour in there
They were gonna stir it all together and we let it sit for about five or ten minutes. Just be clear
There's no heat on this point, which will mix that
Sugar in with there and we will let it sit for about ten or fifteen minutes
With the lemon I finely grated about half one side of it which is there and we pop that into there
And I will stir squeeze about a teaspoon half of lemon juice out of the lemon as well if your lemons really sharp
Maybe a little bit less just pop that in there and then let's get the heat on
And you want to get down to a really nice high heat
We need to stay with it and keep stirring it so it doesn't stick
So it's starting to smell absolutely gorgeous a lovely sweet fragrant strawberry flavor
Just make sure to keep stirring it so you don't end up with strawberry toffee and not strawberry Jam. as it boils
You see a foam come up on top of it. Just remove that with a spoon and put it somewhere
You can throw it away later. It's no good. It's not what you want
The more we can get rid of the better
Hopefully now you can see it start to really thicken up a bit and the colors completely changed. Did I say saucepan?
Oh, I meant saucer. Sorry grab a little bit of that pop it on there
Give it a minute and see we've got look at that. Isn't that amazing?
That is real strawberry. Jam so strong and so rich as well what I'm going to do is let that cool down for a moment
Just a minute or two - I'm gonna preheat
the glass jar with some boiling water
Just so it doesn't crack when I put that in and this is a saucer
It's set as soon as they hit that that's how you know, you've got a jam is absolutely delicious
Let me just show you that
Excuse our hands-free. I've just lost another tripod. That's a funny story
Okay, so this Jam just let it sit there
With the top off and cool down properly when it's cooled down put a lid on and put it in the fridge
Enjoy it within one week. It won't last that long. It'll last about two days maximum. Enjoy
It's amazing. So there's make your clotted cream at home. Just give us go look at this
Delicious thick
Cornish Clotted Cream
Amazing if you want to make that at home follow the link that's coming up right now
So what's better than a good Cornish scone a bit of homemade jam. strawberry Jam.
I made that earlier delicious jam first as always and
Here comes the bit that really makes my mouth water
homemade clotted cream
Look at that
Look at that crust straight on top of there
That is what you call a scone, clotted cream and jam. Mhhmmm.

How I'm Painting Simple Landscapes (At The Moment) · Gouache Landscape Painting in Sketchbook - Duration: 2:57.Hello my loves, welcome back.
Today I'm showing the process of two quick, simplified landscape paintings.
I feel like I've come a long way with my process since I started doing these so I thought
I'd share my current approach.
I'm working with a mixing colours set of Holbein Acryla Gouache, it's my go-to at
the moment for not overcomplicating things, giving me a cohesive colour scheme and being
able to mix up all the colour combo's I might want as well as just giving me a lot
of freedom with texture, layering and blending.
I'm working on Strathmore toned paper in my DIY sketchbook, all important links will
be below, and I've masked off the edges of the page with just plain washi tape.
For references, I've used a royalty-free website that I'll have linked below as well.
I'm taking a much more relaxed approach to these paintings now, I think a lot of the
ease of it has come from doing them regularly, getting into a routine almost, figuring out
what works and what doesn't until it almost comes naturally.
If you compare the first couple of videos I did doing similar paintings to this, I think
you can really see an improvement from then until now, and that really just comes from
keeping at it and gradually getting the hang of it.
There's no secret or real tips or tricks I can give to help you shortcut your way to
better landscapes, it's just a case of sticking it out through the bad ones until you start
making some progress.
I've tried all sorts of things with my landscape paintings from underpainting the values in
first to working my way from the darkest colours to the light, and sometimes I still do that,
but honestly, when it's just a fun and casual practice like this in my sketchbook, I'll
either just start in the background of the painting and layer my way to the foreground
or just work from wherever I'm drawn to first and fit the painting around that.
I don't sketch anything in, I'm not aiming for complete accuracy, just a sense of what's
going on.
One thing that makes a real difference in these paintings for me is the final addition
of details.
Its crazy to see how what can initially just look like a jumbled mush of colours can really
come together with just a few white dots to suggest waves on water or light hitting leaves
on trees.
If you think you've gone a bit too simple in your painting and it's reading more like
a jumbled mess of colours and shapes, try getting a little detail brush and painting
in just a few hints of branches and leaves on trees or pebbles on a stony path, a couple
of blades of grass standing out in the light, anything like that.
Don't go overboard with it, see how few details you can use to really give the impression
of what's there.
I won't be able to respond to your comments right away as I'm currently on a short break
but I will try to come and catch up when I'm back.
Thanks so much for watching, I will see you next week for the next video.
Bye!

Simple flowers from Kanzashi ribbon DIY Svetlana Zolotareva - Duration: 10:02.Good afternoon everyone! Today I will continue diy series for manufacturing
simple colors. These flowers can make any beginner needlewoman.
We have already made two similar options such flowers, but today the ribbon is we
we twist a little bit differently))) In addition, I I'll show you how to make such a flower from
two colors tape. To make one like this
flower it will take 60 centimeters satin ribbon width of 5 cm. This flower
will consist of six petals. Therefore, the tape is cut into 6 segments
length of 10 centimeters. Now we take a piece of tape. We fill it with slices.
Take the piece from the wrong side to yourself. Lower corners are bending,
upper we lower back.
We fix it with a needle.
Similarly, from this side.
Now take a needle and thread and start to stitch. The first puncture is done from the bottom.
And all on this side of the square do two stitches. First stitch
and the second stitch. Be sure to follow That in a corner all layers have been stitched
tape. And in the same way from this side.
First stitch
and the second stitch. Remove the needles tighten the thread.
The inner petal is straightened.
We squeeze it with fingers and this one skladochku grabbing
tweezers and a little bit lightly barely touching,
we bring a fire to fix fold.
That's what a petal turns out. Similarly, we string all the others
petals.
Here are all six petals I have strung on a needle and thread. Now we pull for
both ends of the thread and tie them tight
on the nodule.
Here we have such a flower. Now we will design a flower and make of
his hair clipper.
Now consider the option of how to make two-colored flower.
This flower will have me five petals. To make it to me
requires five segments pink satin ribbon measuring 5 by 10
centimeters and as many segments of crimson colors. We take 2 segments, add them
together with the wrong sides.
Now add them in half and schedule them middle.
Now let's mark this middle with a needle.
Further, the lower corners are raised upward.
Align the ribbons and try to do so that they do not leave.
The upper corner we fold back.
We fix it with a needle.
It's the same on this side.
Now begin to flash the workpiece so same as in the previous flower. Begin
from below
and we do two stitches on each side square.
We remove the needles.
We pull.
Here you can not light anything handle as internal
The petal is already beautiful enough. Well, we also string the rest of the petals.
Here all 5 petals are strung. Now tying the thread in a circle.
Here such flower has turned out. From this flower I will also make
rubber.
These are the rubberies with flowers today have turned out. If you liked my

Here is a simple technique to understand how much a property is worth - Duration: 3:31.- So you're looking to invest in the property market
but you're just not sure how much the properties are worth.
Well keep watching because I'm about to show you a technique
on how to determine real market value
and the three qualities that you should be looking for.
(dramatic music)
Hi everybody, Josh Masters here
and the other day I was teaching at a seminar
and one of the biggest questions that was coming up
or one of the biggest hurdles
that the group was facing
was really understanding the values of the properties
they were looking at on the market.
What were they really worth?
Now, if you're looking an area long enough
you'll probably start to get a natural feel for the place
and you'll start to see what the prices are
that are coming up each and every week.
But what happens when you don't have time
to inspect 10 properties every weekend
or it's an out of area purchase?
So as a regular investor,
one of the things that I like to use
is the sold section on realestate.com.au
and the sold section can be a,
it's actually a little tab up the top
next to buy and rent.
Now, what you want to be doing is comparing
the similar properties
that you've been looking at
to what's been sold recently.
This is how the valuers do it themselves
when they're working for the banks.
Now you want to make sure
that you're comparing similar configurations.
So for example if you're looking at three bedroom houses,
make sure you're putting in three bedroom houses,
with parking or whatever it is
to make sure you're getting that true comparable.
Now once you're there I want you to compare three things.
The first one is location.
Are you comparing a property that's in a similar location
to the one you're looking at
or is it on a main road?
Or in a terrible part of the neighbourhood?
You want to make sure that they're comparable,
so make sure they're in comparable locations.
The second one is size.
Are they similar sizes?
And I'm talking about either land, for houses
that's very important.
Or for units, are you talking about
a 60 square metre unit, or an 80 square metre unit?
Make sure they're comparable.
You also want to make sure that you're comparing
the newest sales and you can do that
by a drop down that says, date, newest to oldest.
Now the third and final category
is comparing the condition.
And that's both internally and externally.
Are you comparing something that's renovated?
Or are you comparing something that's just a dump?
And a bit of a knockdown.
These are three of the critical things
that you need to look at when you're comparing
like for like properties to get a real good gauge
on where the market value sits
for the properties that are on sale today
versus what has just sold.
You can also look at things like,
does it have a view?
Is the architectural quality the same?
Is there an upstairs, downstairs configuration?
You can go into all these minute details if you like
but they're the three main categories
that you should be looking at
and that will give you a really good gauge
on the value that you should be paying today.
If you have any question around this
or would like to ask more,
just drop me a line.
My name's Josh Masters and you've been watching
On The Ladder.

This simple strategy could help you and your partner save thousands in tax - Duration: 2:29.- Are you a couple looking to invest
in the property market and are looking
for the best tax breaks possible?
Well, if one of you is earning the majority
of the income, ownership may not be as
clear cut as you think.
Keep watching because I'm about
to show you a couple of great strategies
that you can employ to get the most tax back
into your pocket.
(mid-tempo techno music)
Hi, everybody, Josh Masters here.
The other day I was doing a strategy session
with a couple where the wife was pregnant
and about to leave work indefinitely
and the husband was on the highest income tax bracket,
so he was taking the majority of the tax payments.
And when I asked, whose name the property should
be owned in, they replied, well naturally we're
going to split it, right?
It should be equal.
Now, I will preface this and say,
I'm not an accountant and for your
specific circumstance, you need to get
specific advice from your accountant
or financial planner.
But one of the great things about owning property
among other things, is the great tax advantages
you can get from it.
As a general rule though, the tax breaks will
go to the person earning the highest income.
If you're not earning an income,
then that advantage can be wasted.
So if you're looking to get the most
out of the tax break, the asset needs
to be predominantly owned by the highest income earner.
Now that doesn't necessarily mean
that the partner can't have a say
in the ownership.
And in fact, using a tenants in common situation,
which is something you need to talk
to your solicitor about when you're signing the
contract for a property, can be a great way
to split ownership however you decide.
So if you are looking to get the best
tax minimization out of your situation
when you're owning property,
make sure you're consulting your accountant
and your solicitor to get the best tax break
apportioned to the highest income earner.
And make sure you're both happy
with the ownership situation.
Now if you have any questions around this,
please drop me a line or leave a comment below.
You've been watching me, Josh Masters, On the Ladder.

Simple Bathroom Fixes That Make a Big Impact - Duration: 5:57.- We've lived in this house for two years now.
Yeah, right before our third child was born.
- Lots of families here and we got three kids,
it's a good fit.
So when we first moved in to the house,
we really needed to clean it up, it definitely needed a facelift,
really all the way around the house.
- [Announcer] The Duesings gutted and remodeled the kitchen
in their home but the project took way longer than
expected and isn't quite finished.
- Life in general with three children is somewhat chaotic.
On a good day, I might get an hour to work on something
and it might be one day a week, which is kind of why this
whole thing is taking so long.
How tall is that?
- [Announcer] One project the family placed
on the back burner was remodeling their bathrooms.
- The bathrooms are probably priority number 45, 46 and 47
on my list of to-dos.
- [Announcer] And that's where we come in,
calling in Mansfield Plumbing to help give the Duesings
some bathroom Botox, a fresh new look that
won't break the bank and that fixes their number
one frustration as parents.
(eerie music) - It's a tough time
right now for them.
They've got old toilets that are,
some of them are inefficient.
One of them doesn't flush all the way
and they both plug up.
Either you're cleaning it, you're plunging it
or you're cleaning around it and they both share
the cleaning duties so, they're like hey, we
need something that's going to make this easier for us.
- [Announcer] Enter the Vanquish toilet,
a revolutionary new design starting with side-mounted
seat hinges that make it easy to clean.
- That flat deck surface on the back,
when a tinkle does turn to sprinkle,
you can wipe it off really easily.
Pure clean glaze so it rinses well
and then that real powerful flush mechanism that we have.
I'm really excited that is going to be a great solution.
I think it's going to solve a lot of their issues.
- [Announcer] A plumber gets to work
removing the old toilets while stylist Lindsay
Lara works with the family on design ideas for both
the kids' bathroom upstairs and the guest bath downstairs.
- Tell me a little bit what you're thinking
for the bathrooms?
- It seems small but one of the big things is that
our kids are washing their hands a lot
and the towel rack is right above the toilet
so the kids just yank the towel down,
it falls in the toilet so that's a big problem.
Just having kid-friendly bath but still having it look nice.
- [Announcer] With her mission set, Lindsay and her team
get to work renovating the bathrooms.
Meanwhile, our plumber has finished installing the
Vanquish toilet in the upstairs bathroom.
- Looks good.
- Uh, yeah.
Number one you'll see it's a elongated bowl
and high height so it's a very comfortable seat to be in.
We talked about it early on, it's this
no-hinge seat and so we've taken the seat hinges
off the top of this and we've moved them off to the side,
which gives you a nice clean deck
so that you can wipe that off.
- Easy clean, that's amazing.
I didn't think when I heard side-hinges,
I didn't really understand until I saw it.
How cool it is to just do one wipe and it's clean.
You know, you're usually wiping all around
into the crevices and it takes forever
and you don't really feel like you get it clean.
But with this, it really is really easy.
- I want you to watch this flush.
So, it's a very simple lever on the side.
You get a full flush, it looks like you get a lot more water
going through than you really do.
So, it's still the 1.6 gallons.
So, all that toilet paper that you talked about
gets pushed through.
- [Announcer] And with a soft close feature
that means no more slamming the lid.
- That toilet is really solving like every single
one of the problems that we have as parents
with kids who can't flush and are messy.
- And with that pure clean glaze, the action of the water
takes away all the debris.
So, clean toilets, easy to clean when it does get a little
dirty and easy to maintain going forward.
- [Announcer] As the renovation continues,
the plumber puts in a brand new Mansfield pedestal sink
for the downstairs bathroom and finishes up installing
the Vanquish toilet.
- I think the kids are going to love the new toilets.
They don't have to try so hard to flush,
they won't get yelled at if they didn't flush
it all the way.
- [Announcer] And finally, it's time for the big reveal
upstairs.
- Right, are you guys ready to see the bathroom?
- [All] Yes.
- Yeah, let's check it out.
- All right, let's go.
- Wow.
- Holy cow.
- Oh, it's so pretty.
New faucets.
How many towel racks.
- [Lindsay] So, what do you guys think?
- [Stephanie] We love it.
- [Lindsay] You do?
Can you see the difference?
- [Stephanie] Yes, it's beautiful.
- [Lindsay] It's clean, crisp, bright,
goes with the rest of your house so it'll be easy.
- [Stephanie] It's gorgeous.
- It's great.
- I'm so glad.
- It looks like a whole new bathroom.
- [Rick] It's a nice bright space now.
And it's nice and fresh.
- [Stephanie] Functional, too.
- [Announcer] And then the guest bathroom is revealed.
(gasps) - Wow.
- Whoa, look at that.
- [Stephanie] Oh my gosh, look at that mirror.
- [Rick] Oh, perfect.
- No more towels falling in the toilet.
It was surprising how different it looks
just by changing out light fixtures.
The vanity looks totally different now
with the different knobs and the cute little facuets.
Even though it's the same with the paint
and the light fixtures and all of those cool elements
combined, it looks like a totally new bathroom
even though we didn't gut it.
They're so excited.
They're going to love it and I'm going to love not
having to pick up after them.
And they're going to love not getting yelled at.
- And Mansfield, thank you very much
for unclogging our lives.
- [Announcer] For more information on

bathroom products, visit mansfieldplumbing.com
