(music) Hello everyone!
I am back with another video.
If you don't know who I am, please refer back to my intro video.
If you do know who I am and you've already subscribed welcome back.Today I'm going to
be doing a video featuring all of the curly hair products that I'm using right now.
I'm only doing curly hair products right now.
I'll do another video later about my straight hair products because there's a lot of those
too.
Not as many as curly hair though.
But, I am doing this because since I'm just starting this channel people might be curious
of what I use now and I am warning you I have quite a few things.
And I really like trying new things.
One that that I am going to start doing is trying whole product lines and not just products
here and there, so i just wanna show you what I'm starting out with so that you know where
I'm at.
You know kind of what I have and what I'm working with.
I will be doing some wash n go's featuring these products and then I will be getting
new products and then whatever you tell me that you want to see I'll probably try to
try those too if it's something I'm also interested in, well no I'll do it even if I'm not interested
in them but I'm pretty sure I'm interested in all of them because I walk through the
curly hair aisle, I'm always online looking at all the new things I wanna try.
So let's get into the video.
So the first is this beauty this is the curl clarity shampoo by As I Am.
I've been using As I Am products for a long time and it actually just started with one
product that I was using and this is the only shampoo I have because I only shampoo my hair
once a month.
I follow the curly girl method for the most part and for awhile I wasn't using shampoo
at all and I kind of just like to feel that cleanness and shampoo is not that good for
your hair so I only do it once a month sometimes two if I've done a whole lot to my hair and
put a lot of gel for the most part I only have to shampoo once a month and this stuff
is really good.
It's sulfate free and it does not leave my hair extremely dry.
Now I'm saying extremely dry but does it feel like how it feels when I co-wash no.
So, that's why I only use this once a month.
If it's just mid-week or I'm you know just not doing much to my hair after I wash it
or co-wash it, I'll just use a regular conditioner whatever I have in the shower with me, but
if I'm starting over like new hair for the week, I prefer to use this coconut co-wash
and I do have two because I went to a beauty supply in Dallas and they were on sale so
I had to get more than one because I go through it pretty fast.
I co-wash twice a week it's kind of creamy and watery at the same time but I co-wash
twice a week for the most part if like my scalp is feeling dry and then if it's mid-week
and I'm not really doing anything to my hair probably just pull it back into a bun, I'll
just rinse my hair in the water I won't actually co-wash but I co-wash sometimes two times
a week just if my scalp feels really dry.
Next one I have it in this you probably can't see that
clearly you're not going to see this because the packaging is like white there we go.
So, this is by Carol's Daughter this is the Marula Curl Therapy Gentile Cream Cleanser
and I have it in the little bottle because it came in like the little kit with three
things and I have used this once I really like the way it felt and so I refuse to use
it again because I want to save it for when I travel I want to have this beautiful little
bottle and I'm not ready to order it from the website I just hate ordering products.
When I get products I want to have them right in my hands I don't want to wait so this stuff
it's very gentle and it smells really good I don't know if anybody else just walks through
the aisle smelling products but it smells I can't even I don't know.
Maybe it's the rose oil.
I don't know but it is a gentle cleanser like it says it doesn't strip your hair and it
leaves your hair feeling really soft and moisturized so this is also a good one if you are interested
in Carol's Daughter try it or oder it from off line I do not want to order it I want
to have it in my hand.
So one thing I can say that has really changed the health of my hair is deep conditioning.
For awhile I would skip deep conditioning or I would do it but I wouldn't put it under
heat which I feel you get better results from so this summer if you watched my intro video
you know that I really dedicated my time to deep conditioning I was deep conditioning
like three times a week anytime my hair felt dry I was deep conditioning and I also bought
a new tool to use to help me be good at remembering to deep condition because you know when you
get new things you want to try them and you're all excited and then once I started using
it it kind of became a habit.
Jumping in when I am being lazy because we all have those days I will deep condition
in the shower and I found these miracles this is miracle deep conditioner in a bottle because
and ha the name three minute miracle it is a miracle when you rinse this out forget rinsing
it out when it's on this stuff just glides on your hair like butter like it is just so
amazing.
And it is cheap y'all.
Cheap.
You can get them in the two pack you can't get two different kinds in the pack though.
I first saw this one and it said moist and my hair was really dry and those three minutes
in the shower like I start the shower with doing my hair and I throw it up in a little
bun wash off do whatever I need to do and then rinse it out and my hair feels so good
and so on those lazy days this is perfect because I just want to get my hair done in
the shower I don't want to get in the shower wash my hair get out put the deep conditioner
in wait go back.
Mid-week when I need a refresher this baby and this one it's really funny because we
were in the store and I actually told my mom to get this for her hair because she had been
using this a lot and she's used to doing protein treatments and I was like well it says three
minute miracle strong try that it's strong and I kept thinking to myself that it's probably
like a protein treatment she used it and she said her hair felt like it felt when she did
a protein treatment so I'm actually kind of excited to kind of switch these out and see
how it does because I haven't done protein in a long time.
So yeah go to Wal-mart pick these bad boys up get the big bottle there is a big bottle
but these are easy to travel with so, so the next deep conditioner I looked at for a long
time and I refused to buy it because it is so expensive and I was in Walgreen's one day
and it was on sale for like half the normal price and this is the Macadamia Natural Oil
Deep repair mask y'all this stuff is so good and if it wasn't so expensive oh it smells
so good if it wasn't so expensive I would probably buy it more and I actually use it
more on my straight hair like when I'm wearing my hair straight because it isn't as thick
and heavy but it's still a good deep conditioner no lie but it is extremely expensive and actually
if you go to TJMAXX or Marshal's you can find it cheaper but it's still I'm warning y'all
it's pricey.
But this is a good good deep conditioner y'al so straight and curly hair good for straight
and curly.
Next one is from Carol's Daughter can't talk today it is the Marula Curl Therapy Softening
Hair Mask and I'll list all these below because of course I'm trying to get the light from
the sun and it's hindering my ability for you to see the packaging and I have the small
one and the big one, the small one came with the cleanser.
And I'm saving it for travel because y'all this stuff.
If I didn't want my hair to get used to this I would probably use this every time I deep
condition.
It is so good!
And the smell it smells like the cleanser it's like a vanilli rose type of I don't know
but this stuff is so good it is moisturizing like nobody's business it just glides through
my hair I have no problem getting this through my hair.
And I really just like the way it smells.
Like I wish the smell would like of linger a little bit.
Funny story If you're like me and you like all these curly girl products that have this
very very intense smell you probably want to stay away from bees.
I attract every bee in the world and every time I see the bee I'm like ok move back move
back and it's drawn to my hair so just a little nugget letting you be careful round them bees
cuz they be trying to get me.
The next one is also by Carol's Daughter.
This is the Mirabelle Plum I probably said that wrong sorry guys, fullness and hydration
weightless hair mask.
And I was a little hesitant these products are expensive these yes they are expensive
and so what I do when I want to try a new product I go to TJMaxx, Marshall's, and Ross
and if I see them in there I'll grab them there because this stuff is normally $14 I
got it for $6.99 at Ross and I just wanted to try it and I'm more apt to buy a product
at a cheaper price and try it out and then if I like it I'll buy it at full price I won't
waste my time buying it full price because I might not like it.
So I don't mind wasting $6 I mind wasting $14 because I could have gotten two products
for one.
But this stuff it smells so good.
It is for weak thinning and very dry hair which my hair really was for awhile it's better
now.
But I still use it because it's good.
Hydration who doesn't need hydration and fullness.
This stuff is bomb!
I was kind of nervous to use it because I never really heard of this one.
I think these two collections are kind of like older collections but I saw it and I
really wanted to try it.
So go walk around Ross, TJMaxx, Marshall's find you some products you think are interesting
and try them at a cheaper price and then buy them later at the full price.
Or don't this one is a Shea Moisture product.
This is the Superfruit Complex 10 in 1 Renewal system with Marula Oil and Biotin Hair Mask
ok, this is so good.
I know I keep saying all the products are good but y'all all of these products are the
truth.
I don't typically keep products I don't like I throw them out.
This one doesn't have as good a smell as the other ones but this stuff is super hydrating.
And when I put it in my hair I actually didn't want to rinse it out.
And I was scared not to rinse it out but I really didn't want to rinse it out.
It's so thick and moisturizing and I just I don't know.
If you're not familiar with the Shea Moisture Products they're all sulfate free there's
no parabeans, no mineral oil, no synthetic fragrances, no synthetic coloring, no animal
testing, and it's color-safe.
So if you color your hair it's good for that.
This stuff y'all.
I'm not even going to just keep blabbing on it just get you some.
And actually I saw a video by Mahogany Curls where she actually did leave this in so it's
ok to leave in I was just really scared until I saw that video so I might try to leave it
in just as a styler but this I actually want to try the rest of the line.
Because this stuff is so good and this big jar also came from Ross I got it for like
$4.
So get ya some.
My next one is also by Shea Moisture this is the Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive
hydration hair mask all their names are so long.
This stuff is really really good and it actually has a matching oil but where I'm from the
oil is almost impossible to find but this stuff is really really good.
It doesn't have like a awesome smell or anything but I got it because I saw the Manuka Honey
and when I did DIYs when I was first natural I would mix honey and all this other stuff
up but I liked the way the honey made my hair feel.
So I actually got it because of the honey.
It is a really good deep conditioner.
And the shea moisture products they're really I say affordable for curly hair because there
are some products that are expensive but if you're looking for like the cheaper route
or you're just starting out try try these they are really really good and really cheap
you don't have to go expensive to take care of your hair.
Yea just try the cheap ones out first and then build your way up to the more expensive
ones and cheap is fine.
I do cheap and the reason I like cheap products is because you can find them if you go out
of town for extended periods of time instead of traveling with your product.
I feel like it's better just buy them there and then donate them to someone be nice give
someone some products.
And sorry the sun is going in and out I'm trying to use the sun until I get my lighting
so this video is probably looking all kinds of crazy cuz the sun is going in and out.
But so that is I have one more product for deep conditioning it is the coconut oil deep
repair masque and I found this at Sally's I was actually there looking at the new Mielle
Organics products and I saw this and it was on sale and I was like hey I need another
deep conditioner, I don't and I just wanted to try it and it actually was a pretty good
deep conditioner it's like a cheaper route to deep conditioning and actually I just I
love coconut the smell I like it I love it I love the smell of coconut so if you wanna
like try another cheaper product compared to the other ones try this but please please
please please what ever you do deep condition even my heat damage pieces they have changed
drastically just with deep conditioning even if you just do it once a week twice a week
I do it whenever my hair feels dry for the most part it's like two to three times a week.
So please please please deep condition.
so that is all thanks for watching I'm sorry this video was so long but I hope it was helpful
so you know kind of what I'm using on my hair right now.
Bye guys! (music)
