News on Youtube Sep 5 2017

Hi, welcome to my video! This week I'm sharing a recipe for a simple dal. This

is part of the "Recipes for Bachelors" playlist which is really just a

collection of recipes that hopefully take some guesswork out of making

everyday dishes, and this video will also teach you how to use your pressure

cooker which can be a little intimidating. I was certainly afraid

of my pressure cooker for a long time but now, I can't live without it. You're

going to need some yellow split peas, these are channa dal, but if you don't

have that you can certainly use toor dal.

What you have to do before you do anything else is sift through your dal

and pick out any stones. I don't know why there are stones in dal - I've always

found this very puzzling - but there are always one or two and you'll know when

you see them. Pick those out and throw them away, you do not want to bite down

on that while you're eating. Next soak your dal for at least thirty minutes.

You could even do this the night before. You don't have to do it, but it does help

in the cooking process. While the dal is soaking, chop up some tomato. I have about

3/4 of a tomato here but you know, 1 medium tomato or even a large tomato

should be just fine and it doesn't have to be attractive, the

way you chop this won't make any difference in the end. We're not going to

be using any onions or garlic in this recipe but we are going to be using some

asafoetida, and if you've never smelt this before then you are in for a treat.

And by not using any onion or garlic this recipe is also safe for Jains! Next

you're gonna grate some ginger - a one-inch piece should be enough and for

our spices we're going to be using whole cumin seeds, red chili powder,

and finally some turmeric powder. You'll also need salt to taste as well as some

water. This dal cooks really nicely with a ratio of 1 to 3.5. And

finally some oil. Now we get to use our pressure

cookers. Confront your pressure cooker with confidence. Put some oil in it and

turn on the heat. Then add some cumin seeds to the oil and wait for them to

crackle. When you hear that sound that's how you'll know that the oil is hot

enough. Add the remainder of the cumin seeds as well as the asafoetida.

Next comes the ginger and be sure to push it around so that it doesn't burn

or get stuck at the bottom of the cooker. Then you can add the remaining spices

and allow them to roast in the oil until they're aromatic.

Once the spices have cooked a little bit and they no longer smell raw, add the

tomato and as usual be sure to give that a bit of a stir and turn down the heat

if necessary so that they don't burn. Next add some salt, and you can always

adjust this later on if you need to. Then add the soaked and strained dal. Give

everything a stir so that the ingredients are properly combined and

this is what it should look like. Yours might look a little different - that's

okay. Next add the water and remember you are

using three and a half times as much water as you've used dal, so if you use

1 cup of dal use 3.5 cups of water.

Now you're going to close the pressure cooker, so turn up the heat on high, as

high as it'll go, and shut the lid. Don't give it a second thought.

Now it might take a little while for this to happen but eventually your

cooker is going to start hissing. Don't look at this as a sign of aggression

it just means that the cooker is going to whistle and for this recipe you need

three whistles. If you'd like to keep some distance between yourself and your

cooker that's just fine, and once you hear that third whistle turn down the

heat as low as it can go and leave your dal on simmer for ten minutes. Then turn

off the heat and wait for all of the steam to escape the pressure cooker.

Sometimes I'm a little impatient and so I rush the process but once all the

steam has escaped, open up your pressure cooker and give

your dal a stir, and here's what it should look like - not too thick, not too

thin, nice chunky pieces of tomato. I like to do a taste test and if I need to

adjust the salt then I will but, if all is well, I pour it out and I dig in. If

you want to take this one step further you can spoon in a little bit of ghee, or

clarified butter. You can even garnish this with some

freshly chopped coriander, but that's it! I hope you try it and I hope you nail it

and as usual thank you so much for watching, buh bye!

I Am The BIGGEST Loser! - Duration: 7:51.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

that link.

I got a question from John.

It says, "Help John.

I'm the biggest loser."

Oh man!

Shawn says, "Hi John, I'm 25 years old and I'm a loser."

I think there's maybe a Losers Anonymous here.

"In 2017, I've been fired from a job within less than a month, applied for a top business

school programs and got rejected from all of them after months of studying, currently

unemployed, hired some people to build my app and got scammed, have enough friends to

count on one hand, and most recently, developed feelings for a girl, but she's only interested

in hooking up."

Obviously not with him, apparently, otherwise he wouldn't have a problem here.

"I want to learn coding and attend a coding bootcamp, but it's hard to get the motivation."

Man, Shawn, I got to look at this again.

What's happened to you?

You got fired from a job, you applied for these business school programs after studying

and you got rejected from all of them, you're unemployed, you got scammed, you don't have

friends, this girl that you like she wants to roll around and hook up with all the guys

from the club.

What can you do?

Are you loser?

Are you a loser, Shawn?

No, Shawn, you're not a loser.

What you are is experienced.

This is good.

This is a good year for you.

I know that right now this year fuckin' hurts.

I know you're like, "Man, 2017, shitty.

Do not want to repeat this."

Here's a good thing.

You won't have to repeat this because you're taking your lumps now.

You're 25?

Good!

Take your lumps now because it's better now.

It's better to get experience early and to face this and the fact that you're emailing

me and you're still here and you're still considering a coding bootcamp even though

you're saying it's hard to find motivation tells me that you've got at least some amount

of grit and you're developing more of it.

You can look at this—everything in life we can look at as 2 ways.

We can look at it and we can say, "Oh God, why do you have your thumb on me and why are

you pushing me down and crushing me?

Why do you hate me so much, God?

All this bad stuff or fortune or fate, you're such a cruel bitch, why do you treat me this

way?"

That's one way we could look at life.

Or we can say, "Man, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

Bring it on, suckers!

Bring it on!

I'm in the training grounds right now.

My whole life is a training ground where I get stronger everyday, every kind of crap

that comes down my path is an opportunity for me to learn, is an opportunity for me

to grow, it's a new challenge and I get stronger.

I get to the point where I can take on more challenges."

You could view everything in life through those 2 lenses and it's up to you to decide.

You could take this experience in 2017 that you've had, you could take this loss of a

job, the girl that you developed feelings for that wants to go play the field and the

business schools you got rejected from and the people that scammed you from your app

and you could say, "Man, I just must be a loser.

I just must suck."

And learn nothing from it and just think that fate is a bitch and fate is treating you badly.

God's got his thumb on you, pushing you down and crushing you.

Or you can say, "There's a lot of learning here."

You could examine each one of these things and say, "What can I learn from this situation?

Losing that job, why did I lose that job?

What can I do to improve?

I figured out what's not working, so now I could figure out what is working."

You could say, "Hey, there's some area for improvement there, obviously.

I got rejected from these business schools.

Why?

What's going on there?"

You could say, "Okay, a really good one, I paid a bunch of people to build an app for

me and I got scammed."

Really examine that.

What happened there?

Were you trying to be greedy?

Were you trying to quickly build this app and make some money and you thought, "I could

just hire someone to build this asp for me."

Did you vet them out? did you do your due diligence?

Did you make mistakes there that you can learn from?

With this girl, are you too much of a nice guy?

Check out my video on being a nice guy or the man—actually, check out the play list

on being a better man and attracting women so that you can develop some of those skills.

You can realize that there's a problem here.

There's a reason why this chick wants to play the field and is not interested in you and

you can work on that.

There's all these opportunities that you have discovered in 2017 to work on yourself, to

develop your character, to increase your ability and to make 2018 better and 2019 better.

It's good sometimes when life kicks you in the nuts.

This is going to be a turning point in your life, one way or the other.

You're either going to do what you said like you emailed me in the subject line and become

a loser.

That's one choice.

Or this is going to be the stuff that forges your future that makes you the champion and

makes you succeed in the future because you've learned from this experience, because you

don't want to go through that shit again because you're willing to do what it takes to avoid

all of those things and you're willing to recognize those things.

Don't let this—don't tie your identity up in mistakes that you've made.

You've got to make mistakes in life.

You got to fail.

You got to experience some of these things.

It's just that the people that are real losers—I'll tell you who's losers.

The people who are real losers are not the people that shitty stuff happens to them and

they make mistakes or they make a lot of mistakes.

Usually the people who are winners are the people who make a lot of mistakes.

The people who are real losers are the people who make the same mistake over and over and

over again because they deny that it's a mistake, because they deny that they did anything wrong

and they're not willing to change or improve and they constantly think about how God is

putting their thumb on them, crushing them, or fate is just so bad or they have the victim

mentality.

Check out my video on victim mentality, don't have the victim mentality.

Those are the real losers in life because they're never going to do anything.

They're never going to accomplish anything.

The winners are the people who have a 2017 like your 2017 Shawn and they use that to

make them stronger.

That's who's the winners.

You can still be a winner.

I think you are a winner because I feel like you emailed me because of that reason.

There you go.

That's just my perception on it.

Feel free to disagree.

Leave a comment below and tell Shawn he's as loser.

No, I'm just kidding.

Don't do that.

Now it's too late.

Now you guys are going to do that.

That's all right.

It's all right.

It will make him tougher.

Airsoft Entrepot TV - How to repair a leak on a GBB gas magazine

Hello YouTube ! Today we'll talk about leaks on GBB magazines

Everybody had this type of problem at least once

We'll see how to handle this problem in this video

Note : there is a difference between a leaking magazine and some gas leak during the loading of gas

If the injection valve doesn't have an O-ring, some gas will probably leak when you load it

You get an actual leak if you can hear it from the magazine for more than 10 secondes and it doesn't stop

In order to understand why the magazine can leak, we'll see how a magazine looks like

Magazine body

Magazine lips, gas route, percussion valve, bbs feeder and its spring

Magazine floor plate, injection valve, magazine plate screw

In general, leaks come from the percussion valve, the injection valve and less oftenly from the magazine plate screw

Leaks come from a lack of maintenance or from not enough tighten screws

If the percussion valve isn't tight enough, the gas leaks from all around the valve

The percussion valve is supposed to correctly bounce each time you push it

If it's blocked, unscrew it with an adapted tool, or with a large flat screwdriver

The O-rings need to be in a good shape ; clean any dirt which could disturb the action

You can use a degreasing spray in order to clean the valve (immediately dry it after)

Then, use some silicone spray in order to lubricate the O-rings

Now, you can put the valve back inside

On the injection valve, leaks can also come from a lack or maintenance, or if the valve isn't screwed enough

The idea is the same : unscrew, check the O-rings shape, clean, lubricate, screw back

In general, you can also unscrew the valve itself ; check the spring shape and the O-ring

Finally, under some magazine, you have this type of screw which locks the gas tank : check that it's tight enough

CO2 magazines are slightly different

You have the magazine body, the lips, gas route, percussion valve, bbs feeder and its spring, and the C02 cartridge screw

Here, you have the perforation valve (which opens the C02 cartridge)

If the leak comes from this part, the repairing process is the same

If the leak continues, you'll have to check the internal valve

It has to be in a good shape

If it's not, you'll need to change it

On a C02 magazine, it's a crucial part ; if it's not in a good shape it will continue to leak no matter what

That's why you should never store a magazine with a C02 cartridge installed in the magazine, in order to avoid the deformation of the valve

You can use a flat screwdriver to install and remove it

Don't hesitate to regularly maintain your magazines (even if it's brand new) : they will last longer

The maintenance can be made after each day of gaming, or before a long storage

If you're going to store the magazine, don't hesitate to put just a little gas inside, so the O-ring will stay in the right position

With C02 magazine, remove the cartridge and store the magazine without one

Leaks on magazines are very common, and generally easy enough to repair

With the right tools and method, you can repair most of them in a few minutes

If you liked this video don't hesitate to like it, comment, subscribe and share

It was Max for Airsoft Entrepot TV, see you next time !

Simple & Easy card with Kuretake-Zig clean color-real brush marker & Altenew Freesia stamp and die - Duration: 10:07.

Hi everyone its Keren here with a quick and easy card using Altenew stamp and

dies and zig clean color real brush markers enjoy!!! I used the Altenew

freesia stamp which fit perfectly because I wanted to make a long card I

took my Tim Holtz stamp platform and place the stamp where I wanted it and

then I added some powder to make sure that the embossing would come out

perfectly and then using some Versamark ink I pressed it onto the background. I'm

using hot pressed watercolor paper for the background so I could color in the

flower. I did stamp it twice and then I used silver pearl embossing powder which is kind

of like a white powder but has a pearl essence to it which is really really

pretty I stamped it twice because I wanted to make sure I could

get a good impression of it and then I heat set it, the embossing powder to make

sure that it melts all the way everywhere. The embossing powder helps

when you add the watercolor so it keeps the watercolor inside the lines. I

used zig clean color real brush watercolor markers and started basically

painted inside the flower. I started with two different shades of green one

lighter green and one darker green and adding the light one first I added a

little bit of the marker and then using my Pentel water brush I just blended

it in. I did this a few times until I got the color I wanted.

then I went in with the darker shade of green and just added a few more lines

and blended it with the water brush again. The nice thing about this water

brush is that it has a very fine tip and it blends the water colors really well

together and it has water inside so you don't really have to wet it all the time

the water drips down whenever you press on it. I continued painting the

green part of the stem until I was done

then I started painting with

purplish-pinkish color. I started with the light one again and what I do is I

color in at the edges and then blend it towards the inside, that way the edges

are darker and the inside is lighter and it gives it a shadow and a depth effect

the nice thing about this watercolor paper that it's hot pressed and it's

very smooth so it's really easy to blend things and it doesn't absorb

the water as much so it really blends in things nicely in the surface so I just

went ahead and you can just continue adding water until it blends it how you

like it

then I went in with the darker color of purple and started doing the same

thing adding it in the edges and then blending it in. These Zig markers are

just beautiful because they really blend nicely as watercolors or you can use

them just as regular markers they have so many uses and they're just

gorgeous I ended up splurging and getting the 80 marker one there's 80

colors so I just figured I might as well. I knew I would use them a lot because I

really love water coloring it's really relaxing. so as you can see I'm

continuing to add and the nice thing now you start seeing how the embossed ink

repels the watercolor and creates a really nice white outline and if you

actually look at it closer it is pearlized

which is really really nice so I really liked how this was turning out and it

was just so easy because the lines really keep inside the

embossing lines really keep it in. I'm just drying it out because I wanted to add a

little bit more shading and the nice thing is that if you actually go outside

the lines. I can cut this out as I have the die-cut that match so I could cut it

out I took some yellow shades of the markers

and I started adding them in the middle in the center I really liked that had to

put a little bit of yellow in it but it actually blended it and turned into a

beautiful orange kind of looking shade which was really nice and I just kept

on fixing it until I was happy with the way the flower turned out. the fact that it I

had so many shades of colors it really gave it depth and it looked like

it was a really nice beautiful full bloom flower

because I didn't do such a good job at staying between the lines I guess I

should go back to kindergarten. I did take the die cut that comes with the set

and just cut out the flower I use some Microspore tape to just hold the die on

top of that flower and then run it through my Big Shot machine and cut it

out I also used the same paper and cut out a couple more of the same die cuts,

just the flower itself on white on its own so I could use as a backing and make

the flower a bit thicker when I'm adding it to the card this is a great way to

create a 3d effect and it's easier because you're having the flower

backed up with a little bit more thickness. then I used my art glitter glue

because it has such a fine tip and glue this two pieces onto the back of my

flower so I could have a 3d effect for the card and you can see the thickness

on this side now it was time to assemble the card and this somehow it took me a

long long time. I had so much fun water-coloring but when it came to assembling

the card I wanted to create a very simple card and it was just taking me so

long to figure out how I wanted the layout too look so I took a hole punch. this is a

border punch from Martha Stewart and basically I was trying to figure out how

to make it look properly and I ended up screwing up the punching so I ended up

cutting a piece of it where I had screwed up and putting it on a long card

I really wanted to create a long card and this is 7 by 4 inches and it doesn't

really fit a standard envelope but I really wanted to have some kind a long

card because I really wanted that card to and the flower togo lengthwise because I really

like that so I added one of the strips that I had leftover and just cut it with

my scissors because this is where I wanted to add the sentiment.

So I just kind of placed where I wanted the flower and then I

took a sentiment. it's a happy birthday sentiment from the same set and then

using my Tim Holtz stamp platform I

stamped the sentiment onto it so I put the flower where I thought I

wanted it and then added the stamp.I took away the flower and then pressed it onto

my stamping platform to make sure that I get it in the spot that I want it. I'm

with a magnet and

then I took my powder tool and just brushed it over the area where I

wanted to stamp to make sure that nothing stuck there and Here I am adding

it again I'm doing it twice to make sure that I get a good impression this time I

took some black embossing powder from Ranger this is the superfine one so it

should give a really good impression and I'm just adding it to the background

As you can see I made a mistake here there must have been something sticky at

the bottom maybe from the glue and you'll see how I'm able to remove it

after but first I'm gonna heat set this to make sure that the happy birthday

stays in place that nothing comes off. as I said before I had made a mistake and

something was gooey there and it got some embossing ink on it

so I took my mono sand eraser this is a great eraser as it gently removes anything

that you have made a mistake on, you just have to rub it on to the surface

and remove whatever mistake you made and as you can see I don't know why the

embossing ink even though I put the powder it did splatter a little bit so I

was able to remove that. I took some of my tape runner and just

put it behind the flower and then glued the flower on to my background then I

took some black liquid pearls and added a few pearls onto my background

finally I used a Zig marker to create a few splatters in the background I just

added some water to my mat and then just wetting the tip of the brush just

banged it with another paintbrush to just get those really thin cute

splatters onto the background

thanks so much for watching if you love my quick and easy card please give it a

thumbs up and share it with your friends for more inspiration subscribe to my

This simple strategy is the secret to building a successful property portfolio - Duration: 5:31.

- Would you like to find out how to build

a successful property portfolio?

Well, stay tuned because I'm about to show you

how we do it with my daughter's building blocks.

Hi everyone.

Today I wanna talk to you about

how we build a successful property portfolio,

and if you look at buying your first investment property,

often the most work goes into getting that first deposit,

and there's so much work involved in that

when it comes to buying a second

and a third and even a fourth,

a lot of people put it in the too hard basket

and most of the time, you'll end up just owning

that single investment and quite frankly,

one property won't make you rich,

so if you're really looking to build your wealth,

this is going to be super valuable for you,

and it's really done in 3 easy steps,

and the first step that I explain

is with this little green block here.

Now, as a code, what we're going to use today

is we're going to use the green blocks,

this means it belongs to us.

This is our money, and the red blocks,

this is the bank's money, that's debt,

so I'm going to introduce those in a minute in step two.

So step one is to get the first deposit in place.

Now, this is the hardest step that you will find

in building a property portfolio.

It's the first step that's always the hardest,

and this is the blood, sweat, and tears

that we work nights for, waiting tables or whatever you do

to get that money in place in order to start,

and you might want to start with a property purchase

as low as 300,000 or up from there,

but this money can come either from you working,

it can come from borrowing money from parents,

or it could come from inheritance or even going in

with your friends or a group of people

to collect that first deposit,

so this is step one, always the hardest step.

Now, step two is once we have this deposit,

we want to go to the bank, and provided

that we can service the debt,

they're going to give us a loan,

and this loan is going to look like this.

All right, these three blocks on top,

and so this is the debt component,

so this is how much our property is worth - up to this level

and this is our deposit down below.

So, what do we do now?

Well, actually one of the fundamental principles

to building a property portfolio is growth,

and a lot of time for most people,

this will happen in a way that I'll call organically,

so it means that the property's in a great spot,

it's got good infrastructure,

there's a lot of demand for that property over time,

and that property grows in value.

Now, as that property grows in value,

what happens is that property value goes from here

and it goes up to a higher level.

Now, you notice I've put a green block on top

and it looks like a little bit

of the Leaning Tower of Pizza right now,

Pisa I should say, not pizza!

This block on top, it's very important.

This is a green block, and it's a green block

because this is effectively our money.

If we were to sell this property today,

we would take this deposit back,

we would pay off our loan, and the remaining,

less of course tax and costs, would be our profit.

Now, in actual fact, this amount here is what we call equity

and this is really important for the next step,

the third step, because once we have this equity in place,

rather than going out and saving again for a deposit,

we're going to take this equity

and we're going to take it to the bank

and we're going to do a refinance,

and that means tapping into the equity here

to use as a deposit for the next property,

and this is the essential step that a lot of people

don't get when they're building a property portfolio.

This property actually does all the hard lifting for us

for the second property, and we take this equity

and we move it into this facility here.

We could call it a line of credit

or an offset account, whatever you like,

but this - provided you can service the loan of course

on the second loan - you will then go to the bank

and you'll ask for a deposit for a second property

or a loan for the second property I should say,

and these bricks are purple because I've run out of red.

My daughter's only got so many building blocks,

and now we have two properties.

Now, let me recap this.

The first deposit was blood, sweat, and tears.

This is super hard work, but the second deposit

for the second property was done from the first property,

from the growth in the first property.

That was where all the heavy lifting was done.

Now you can see over time what will happen

is that we'll have growth in both these properties

and then we'll refinance again

provided we can service that loan,

and this is the key to building

a successful property portfolio.

So, if you've got any questions around this,
