Tully Movie Review by Mark Colvin Jr

Charlize Theron has played numerous characters that have collectively

solidified her range as being a top-tier actress. In her latest movie Tully she

plays Marlo a mom with two kids who's about to give birth to her third.

Unfortunately it is painfully clear that she is overwhelmed with the two kids

that she already has. Her husband is played by Ron Livingston who could not

be more clueless about her existence let alone the impact parenting is having on

her. However her wealthy brother takes notice of her childrearing fatigue and

offers to pay for it night nanny as a gift to her in the new baby. Marlo is

reluctant at first but after she has a really bad day she gives in and calls

Tully who was played by Mackenzie Davis. Tully turns out to be the gift that

keeps on giving. Going into this movie I thought it was only gonna be a

film that those with a night nanny correlate to however Tully is not about

that at all Tully focuses more on the challenges of parenting as opposed to

the perks of having a night nanny it completely opened my eyes to just how

overwhelming parenting could be in a dark comedy sort of wait that's right

this is a drama in a comedy so technically it's a dramedy Marlowe has

no filter whatsoever which makes for some great funny moments but it also

pushes a lot of people to wait release their and gives her second best

performance because Monster is still a top dog but in Tully she is ferocious

she's heartened you can see that being a mom has just beat her down you could see

it on her face you could hear it in her voice and she's

given off some huge vibes of anger and exhaustion she shows us the ugly side of

being a parent like carrying baby weight and carrying her family on her shoulders

by no way shape or form as this performance pretty she's literally

attacking everyone but her performance is so good I felt sorry for her then I

had to realize or remind myself that this was a movie and not a documentary

now Mackenzie Davis is in here too as telling you she is a great addition to

the film her and Charlize Theron has some real natural chemistry where I think

they actually our friends in real life she

was a breath of fresh air to our almost suffocating lead and Marlo's character

kind of sees herself in Tully Tully is young she's free-spirited she's outgoing

she's smart she's witty charismatic everything that Marlowe

probably used to be or wish she was and I was thinking to myself why in the hell

did she wait so long to car if someone offered me at night nanny I would have

an appointment the same day my child came home

speaking of night nanny's prior to this movie I had no idea what a night nanny

was they actually come to your house at night and play with the baby and keep

the baby occupied while the mother sleeps then when the baby needs to nurse

they wake them mom up the nurse take the baby

wake up boom I was like wow this is this is how the other side lists if you were

a night nanny or if you had at night nanny let me know in the comment section

I have some questions and that's what the movie is about the impact that the

night nanny has when she least there is character Raoh starts to change her

outlook on life she starts to treat people better treat herself better start

doing some of the things that she used to enjoy doing as she slowly drives

towards her arc now this has some solid acting through and through even her two

kids her boy was called Shona and he was a quirky handful and her oldest daughter

was sweet and understanding at no point throughout the movie were they ever a

distraction I enjoyed the movie completely and that ending caught me so

off guard I was just so wrapped up into Marlo and Tully's chemistry and watching

their relationship grow that I missed the writing that was on the wall if you

caught it let me know in the comment section but I did have some problems

with this movie the first problem I had was that they really make motherhood to

be such a daunting task and I know I'm the guy with no kids saying I think it's

grossly exaggerated but I'm just like you know motherhood is not like this in

real life this was more so like the perfect storm this was how

bad motherhood could be but not an actual representation of it furthermore

father's we're not looking too good in here and they are calling out the dads

who are so career motivated that they do not even pay attention to their family

absentee father's you're on notice because the dad was a nice guy

but he really wasn't helping out much overall I appreciated tele confronting

the secret pain of motherhood literally it only takes one bad day for a mom to

think she is crazy the themes in tele is not something you see in everyday movies

but in here it's well-executed now the message of Tulley is crystal clear that

parenting is best when both parents contribute equally to raising the kids

when I say equally I mean effort resources it should be right down the

middle now the target demographic for Tully is mothers but fathers you should

go see this too because it's worth the price of admission

this well-written will direct it it's funny it's dark but every dark cloud has

a silver lining and that surely stands performance that alone should get you in

the door it makes for a great date night movie and if you're still here make sure

this hentai was bad overall earning itself at three point six out of ten and

didn't really do above average in anything this story did very badly

inconsistency with 0.5 a typical hentai story saw her as a 2.5 nothing special

nothing too bad about it the artwork was slightly below average earning a 2 the

animation was bad in various places like not syncing up with sounds random

movements it was very bad very bad but it didn't earn a total zero got a 1.5 it

was it was manageable though it was still very terrible and the characters

were typical hentai characters they don't like it but they eventually liked

TRUTH OR DARE - Review [SUB ITA] - Duration: 5:50.

Hi guys it's Debbie and today I would like to speak about "Truth or Dare" a

new horror film which was released a couple of weeks ago. "Truth or Dare"

follows a group of friends which somehow ends up caght in a supernatural version

of the truth or dare game. They either have to perform a dangerous actions such

as hurting somebody, or confess to something very big, ruining friendships,

relationships as the game gets more and more intense and threatening. Now in my

opinion the big problem with truth or dare is that it is very teen-oriented.

There is nothing wrong with this in itself, there's nothing wrong with a film

trying to appeal to a specific age group, but it is advertised as this

intense horror film and then rather than being an actual horror movie, it just

feels like this unrealistic story of unrealistically good-looking friends,

always with perfectly made-up faces and hair, on point

looks, sculpted bodies, with all their gossipy crisscross ties of friendship

and love, with their all well-established roles (the clever but

good-looking leader, the annoying party boy, the I'm too good-looking and

successful for this dude, the troubled best friend) which just happened

to be caught in a frightening situation. If you take for example "It Follows", which

is one of my favourite horror films, it all revolves around a group of young

friends so there are a lot of social interaction problems, love ties and

everything, but these issues never get in the way of the plot or they aid it. For

example in "It Follows" sex is a very important element for the storyline and

it is implemented in a very strategic way, while in "Truth or Dare" it seemed like

the story just couldn't wait to include it in the plot, just to get the audience

excited, to shock younger audiences. I like the idea behind "Truth or Dare", I like

this idea of constant danger, there were some scenes in which I kind of had to

look away. But in the end it was never really scary because I felt like I was

watching the same well-established roles, the same interactions we have been seeing

for years in films which are aimed to younger audiences. For example when the

characters pick truth, the truths are always what we would expect from an

overdramatic characterisation: cheating, unlikely truths which emerge years

later jeopardising the main characters BFF status,

and other huge things which would never realistically happen. Now I've never seen

"Happy Death Day" but it is produced by the creators of "Truth or Dare" and when I saw

the trailer I couldn't help but not think the same thing: the same Disney

doll, teenage/young adult actresses which end up caught in a horror

situation. If you saw the film please let me know if it's like this. In general in

these films all the actors seemed to be from that Nickelodeon/Disney afternoon

team comedy-drama background. Lucy Hale from "Ned's School Survival Guide", "Wizards

of Waverly Place", Tyler Posey from "Teen Wolf". There is nothing wrong with their

career, there's nothing wrong with them in themselves, that's not the point. The

point is that they are already super recognisable, super predictable, super

good-looking faces which are then ultra glamorised in the film, ultra stereotyped

making it hard to feel like a real horror movie. How can I believe that

Olivia is in distress because her friends are dying, when for days on end

she turns up with her lipgloss on point, hair perfectly styled, high heels and

cute outfits to life or death scenes, just like all the other characters which

by the way seem more concerned about all their gossipy ties of friendship

and love, rather than the fact that they are risking their lives. As I was saying

before it's not the actors in themselves, there are many actors and actresses who

represent this typical standard role, who starred in countless teen products but

who now perform in a variety of different roles. But with "Truth or Dare" it just

feels there was never there urge of switching these actors from the older

role and just leave them in their teens teen idol status. I want to see

characters like the ones in "Don't Breathe", blood and snot smeared all over

their face, fighting for their lives, stifling their tears, I want to see

women like Brie Larson in "Room". With horrors such as "It", "Silence of the Lambs", "A

Quiet Place" (which by the way was released just a few days ago), "Insidious",

we feel dragged in the story, we feel engaged because we don't know what's

going to happen, we don't know what to expect,

even with world-famous actors, we are living the horror reality, we have

relatable figures not dolled up Instagram faces. In "Truth or Dare" we knew

that some characters would somehow make it through the whole situation,

the main concern seemed to be whether this character we

fall in love with this other character, if those two characters would still be

friends... This is why I'm really looking forward to new horror films such as

"Hereditary", which really looks like the the old-school horror genre.

"Truth or Dare" also had many scenes which were poorly written, there was one

in particular (without spoiling the plot) in which cute Olivia is at the police

station and she unconvincingly asks the officer to have some water and while he

has his back turned to her, she sneakily takes these photos. If we could have

added the fake audience background laughter, this scene would have looked like

something out of a "Sam and Cat" episode. So all in all I did not enjoy "Truth or Dare"

and I don't think I would recommend it, I watched it because it looked very

interesting but every time it looked like there was something new, it looked

like there was about to be a twist, something unexpected, the plot would

always fall back into the the predictable scenes. The one thing I will

praise of "Truth or Dare" is the creepy smiley face element that appears every

time somebody is caught in the game. The corners of the mouths are pulled all the

way up, the eyes are gleaming, the voice is slightly distorted. I know the smiley

face concept is not new but it was really good, it really creeped me out. Let

Coffee Crisis Review - Duration: 3:12.

Coffee Crisis is a brawler where you play as a barista defending the earth against an

alien invasion.

The story is absolutely silly but did you know this game originally came out on the

Sega Genesis?

Not originally but in 2017, I can't believe people still release games for that system.

It's amazing to think you can make a game today that will still work in a Genesis.

Incredible that they were able to make Coffee Crisis just like the old games.

Anyway the coolest part of Coffee Crisis just how old school it is.

If you really wanted to relive the experience from your childhood then this is it.

That includes all the good and bad that goes along with those games.

That game system had a ton of limitations which are all applied to Coffee Crisis.

It's great because this game feels just like those games and is a lot of fun.

But it's a very basic brawler with a crazy story.

And I mean crazy, the story makes no sense.

One minute they're serving coffee and the next they're battling aliens at a concert.

Got me what's going on but it's entertaining.

Coffee Crisis has basically non stop combat and you need to keep moving.

If you stand in one place too long you're going to get wrecked.

The enemies swarm around you and have no problems hitting you right in the back.

I found the jump kick to be most effective.

The enemies spawn from either side of the screen and it's best to get them to group

up because you can stagger them with your hits.

There are some power ups but nothing new.

Coffee Crisis has your standard health and invincibility drops as well as points.

Co-op is probably the best way to experience Coffee Crisis.

I think it could be a good couch hang out game because it's slightly mindless and

nonsensical.

Also there's a pretty good metal soundtrack.

The game could do a little bit better explaining the differences between the two characters.

I think Ashley is faster but I have no idea.

Some stat bars would have been cool.

Overall there's not much to say about Coffee Crisis.

This game has some pretty good art with a solid soundtrack.

The developers wanted to recreate a old style game and they did it.

You're going to want to be a big fan of these types of games before you purchase.

I think the gameplay gets a little repetitive which makes sense you know?

With all the nice little touches added in I think the game is very special.

But it is what it is.

Old Busthead The Oaks Saison Beer Review. Aged in fancy wine barrels! - Duration: 3:21.

There's nothing more delicious than meat and beer.

Ok maybe Ice cream, I might choose ice cream over those things.

Now what if it was a jug of beer- sorry growler because jug sounds like you have a problem.

Ok… so I decided to pick up a growler of my favorite current beer at a nearby brewery

The Oaks.

Which is a wine barrel aged beer from Old Busthead.

A name that now that I write it out, and think about it sounds weirder.

And maybe a little creepy in an internet sort of way.

The Oaks is a Dark saison that is aged in Merlot (I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly)

and Malbec wine barrels.

The problem with the Oaks is it's not available in your area, which is a problem for you really

and not me.

It's a nice slightly dry saison that has some wine characteristics in it, and probably

some dead bugs if your drinking it outside in the summer.

Whats it look like?

I'd call it a clear Amber, because that's one of the five possible choices.

There's not a whole lot of foam here from this pour because I started drinking it yesterday.

At 6.8 percent and a man nearing 40 I can't finish the whole jug in one day, so the next

day the carbonation is less, which is fine- heavy carbonation isn't my bag.

The smell is slightly fruity, not citrusy at all- a little grapeish.

There's no hop bite in the smell, it's like a slightly sweet smelling Malbec.

Because that's the barrels it's aged in.

Also there's the sweet malt.

Not too sweet just sweet enough.

The taste.

It's a muted combo of a Malbec and a lightly sweet malty saison.

It'c complex and flavorful and the alcohol isn't overpowering.

It's a sipping beer- one that makes you want to smack your lips sort of like an jerk.

There is a undercurrent of hops that makes it crisp, that you might not notice at first-

but it keeps it from tasting like a wine.

Although it's a little astringent, a word I had to look up- but just means dry.

The mouthfeel is kind of like a wine.

It's like some fancy stuff you want to whirl around and warm in the glass.

It's very lightly carbonated once it's rested.

It is my favorite beer from Old Bust head.

Ok that's about it… intro, discuss beer, show it, make funny faces wrap up.

The Oaks is the kind of sipping beer I like, strong- but not because of overpowering alcohol-

and slightly more refreshing than something like that Quadruple I reviewed last week.

A review that's not been as popular as my PBR one.

Go figure.

the game is that particularly difficult to grasp but Levy's Emily on random

chance for card rounds the AI does exceptional plays from time to time but

rarely capitalize on their advance to secure victories which keeps the game

engaging throughout the play time for a single human although most of the random

events tend to help out the leading players more than anything else which

means if you get on a bad luck string it becomes difficult to catch up as a game

goes further enclosure truly ages is a decent adaptation of a card game I never

even knew of the game beforehand but the game is easy to understand and

stimulating enough to immerse you into its fastly evolving universe but unless

you already have an interest in card games

I have serious doubt in the titles ability to speak to you in any

One of the fixes in the world of psychology

is this thing called cognitive therapy.

This is a process where

usually with the help of a therapist

your thoughts are broken apart

in order to identify negative feelings

you have about yourself

or ways that you are limiting yourself.

As an example,

one of the thoughts might be,

I always screw these up.

And in cognitive therapy

the change would be changing the word always to sometimes.

That's literally all it takes in your brain.

If the next time you're going to think

I always screw this up.

If you instead think I sometimes screw these things up.

All of a sudden a world of possibilities

opens up in your brain and you are able to get better.

That brings up to the topic of this video

which is Woebot.

Woebot is a chat plug-in for Facebook

that you add - It's an AI bot

and it will lead you through cognitive therapy.

I've been using it for the last few months

and it has kept me happier.

The main thing that it does is,

everyday it will ask you how you are feeling

and make you judge from a set of emojis, so

super smiley, kinda smiley, kinda pissed off, super angry.

You pick how you are feeling

and it tracks it in a chart that shows you

how you are feeling on a day to day basis.

Then, every once and a while,

it will talk you through cognitive therapy.

So it will teach you things like

that changing always to sometimes thing

I know what you're thinking.

Why have a robot do this?

It seems like the most inhuman thing ever.

But I kinda like it.

You don't have to go to a therapist.

You don't have to pay for anything.

It's literally just interfacing with a robot,

telling him how your day's going

and telling him the triggers that got you that way.

So for instance,

it will ask you you are feeling

and then it will say

What are you currently doing right now?

Even though the robot keeps track of all this stuff

I found that just reporting on when I'm feeling happy

and when I'm feeling sad

has led to me seeking out

a lot more of these behaviors where I'm feeling happy.

Insights for me are,

whenever I'm working on a project

or hanging out with somebody,

I'm happy.

And usually when I get sad or lose motivation,

it's when I haven't seen another person in a few days

which is easy to do when you are working at home.

Or, I haven't worked on anything in a while.

Maybe I'm distracted by reading articles on reddit

or tweeting too much.

Things like that.

And it's good to measure this sort of stuff

because you can figure out where your own triggers are.

For instance, if you hate your job,

you might be unhappy at work.

I know whenever I've felt unhappy at work

I've actually just been unhappy before I get there

and after I leave.

I'm usually pretty good at getting in a flow state

once the work actually starts.

So, let me show you one of these lessons.

Woebot will keep pinging.

He has asked me about "should statements"

for a few days here.

Which is another cool thing.

If you don't want to talk about the

cognitive therapy lesson at the moment

and you just want to report on how you are feeling

it's pretty easy to do that.

And so here the robot is talking about "should statements"

He says, the thing about "should statements"

is it feels like you are being forced to do something.

These responses are canned.

So every time he says something,

Facebook will give you three or four responses

you can choose, or you can write your own.

I just usually hit the buttons.

Then he's saying you can totally transform should statements

for example - I really must get an A+ on my English exam

could be transformed into:

I want to do well on my English exam because

the studying will help me learn more English

so that I can converse more fluently with

all these nice humans.

I also love that he's conversing from the

point of view of a robot.

At another point he referenced how he was hanging out

with another robot and they were drinking oil together.

I love that.

It helps me feel like I am living in the future.

Even if the robots, obviously, don't have

physical bodies, right.

They're AI. Own it.

And it terms of results, I feel happier.

I feel more productive over the last couple weeks

using the Woebot.

Just having somebody ask how you are feeling every day

even if it is an AI, has been helpful to me.

I'd like to hear what you think about this mattress.

When I unboxed the Serenity I thought it's more luxurious than I expected it to be I guess I was like it was kind of a basic

packaging basic box, and I thought it was gonna be an economy mattress

But it's really not it actually is a higher-end mattress and first a little bit about a background about the company they're based in

Tennessee they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and they've been in business since

2007 so over a decade and since they've been around longer they also have a wider selection of

products besides just mattresses, so they have this mattress topper sheets

And pillows and even adjustable bases. I do like that

They have been in business for a while

So you don't, you have a little bit more

research about how long the products last and in all my research about the company in this bed

I didn't see anything negative at all about their customer service this product or the company

Bed in a Box has 7 models with various price ranges starting at $99 dollars for a queen

The serenity queen is just under two grand which is about right where I see mattresses with these similar thickness and features

They do have financing for all their beds it starts at about $60 a month

So let's talk a little bit about the edge support

I'm sitting on the very edge, and as you can see because it's so thick with 14 inches here

you actually don't bottom out. The reason why you want good edge support is because if

You want to feel like you can use a whole surface of the mattress to sleep on

Especially if you sleep with someone like I sleep with who hogs most of the bed

And I feel like I'm always kind of on the edge

And I never want to feel like I'm actually going to go over the edge

All right, so I'm gonna just lay on the edge like I do in real life in real life

I'd actually do end up sleeping on my side

Like this and you can see I don't feel like I'm gonna roll off at all and there's very little give on the edge

So you're fine, you can sleep on your back

Let's go over the specs really fast and then to the top 5 things that you need to know about the Serenity mattress

First let's talk about the layers a little bit it has five layers of memory foam it's all foam

There's no springs in it and they tell you the density of the foam

they use, which I appreciate because they often do not give you that information

Like I said, this is a higher-end mattress it has kind of a pillowtop to it

The cover is a beautiful quilted cover, and it's quite attractive it has a nice pretty pattern on it

And it also has the stuff called CoolRest® Adaptive foam and that's is used for astronauts in space for their spacesuits

And it helps balance the temperature between your sleeper and the mattress it helps keeps you comfortable

So you don't sleep too hot and that's usually a problem with especially memory foam. There is two inches of super soft gel infused memory foam

on the top and then after that there's 4 inches of 1.8 lb density high quality soy based

transitional foam. After that you have 4 inches of high-density foam

And that supports your body weight and aligns your spine and inside of that you have a 2.2 pound density core

Now let's count down the top 5 features of the serenity bed in the box mattress #5 feature is it is 14 inches thick

And that is one of the thickest mattresses that I have seen and it comes in a box

I like the look of a thicker mattress, and it just gives it that higher-end feel. #4 feature

And it's one that's very unique to this mattress is that it is a reversible mattress

That means it has a soft side and a firmer side so this top

quilted layer right here is the soft side this does have a little bit slower response

it doesn't bounce back super quick but it's not, it's definitely not a

marshmallow bed you can tell that I'm sinking I'm sinking in a little bit more and it's going to be softer and

contouring and give you more hug, and then if you flip over the mattress

It actually is a firmer side on the other side

so if you like to feel kind of like more like you're sleeping on top of your mattress and

Less give to it then you won't sink in as far on that side. It does have some quilting

It's still an attractive mattress on the other side. Feature #3 is it has handles

I see that occasionally

But it's a really nice that they put handles on the sides it has four handles two on each side

That can help you rotate it it can help you flip it and turn it so that if you do that it'll be a lot

easier because this mattress does weigh 100 pounds. Feature #2 it does have a 20 year warranty

And a 100 day risk-free trial period this is about double of what we typically see up to 10 years it

also has a free shipping with free returns feature number one is the low smell and off-gassing probably because it is made in the US

And I'm really sensitive to this I do not like off-gassing

I don't want to have to let my air mattress air out for a couple of days before I can sleep on it

But this mattress hardly has any smell at all

That wraps up my review of the Serenity Bedinabox mattress and the original box mattress

This is a little bit more of a traditional mattress with the convenience of ordering online

And the free returns and the fact that it does come in the box

It is made in the USA, which means it's going to be delivered faster

And they're going to keep it in stock longer

and it usually means lower off-gassing -
