News on Youtube Dec 27 2018

Hey YouTube fam! It's your girl Lia back again with another video and today's

video as you can see from the title is a video about Poshmark and how I've

been able to make some coint from Poshmark and today's video is also

sponsored by Poshmark. Now you guys if you're familiar with my channel are no

stranger to Poshmark. I've made two videos on this channel about my

experiences with Poshmark. One as a buyer and one as a seller on Poshmark. Now my

first video that I made about them was over a year ago back when I had below

400 subscribers. And I made a video about me selling on Poshmark and how my

experience had gone within I think I'd only been selling for a week on Poshmark.

And I made that video had less than 400 subscribers at the time but if anyone

has over 10,000 views so that shows me some of you guys have some interest in

the Poshmark brand and you guys are probably wondering I've said Poshmark

about 10 times in the last five seconds and you guys are wondering what is Poshmark.

Now Poshmark is like an online garage sale or an online Buffalo

Exchange, Plato's Closet, Uptown Cheapskate. Whatever you may have in your city where

you sell your clothes. Whereas one of the consignment shops takes your clothes

buys it from you puts a value on your stuff for you. Poshmark you get to set

your own prices. Now it's an app or it's on-line. I will leave the link down below

to download the app and also the link to my closet so you guys can check out

what I've sold and what I have in my closet.

But the gist of it is that you take a picture of item that you are no longer

wearing anymore that you would love to sell on Poshmark. You post it set your

price for said item and then let the offers and let the buyers roll in. If you

check out my closet there are things in that closet that I didn't even expect

anybody to buy. Like there are things in there that I was just putting in there

just cause I'm trying to get rid of it and we'll see if it don't sell Imma

take it to Goodwill and people actually bought. And I'm like okay. There's a buyer out there for

pretty much anything you can think of in your closet. So for example when I say

you take an item this is an item that my sister gave me.So she ordered

from Fashion Nova a crop top which on her because she's five nine is a little bit too

crop. On me I'm five three she thought I would fit it and I was just like

this is a little bit to fashion nova babe for me. Like I don't think I'm gonna

get that much wear out of this outfit. So let me see if I can sell it on

Poshmark. So take a picture of this and what I

like to do for the first photo. So the first photo that you guys can

see when you post on Poshmark. I like to take a stock photo. So I'll probably take

the picture from Fashion Nova post that on there.

Then I will take pictures of the actual item that you have in here and this is

the with tags. So there's still tags attached to this item and you would put

kind of your own pricing on it. So for this maybe it costs $20. Maybe I don't

want to you know I want to give people a little bit of deal a reason to come to

me over Fashion Nova and maybe I would price it at maybe like $18. Now the thing

about Poshmark you're probably thinking okay that's wonderful you make all the

money what does Poshmark get out of this. Now Poshmark does for everything that is

under $15 they do take two dollars and 95 cents out from the purchase. So say

you have something for $15 you'll end up making what $12 around $12 on it.

Something that is $10 you know you'll make probably about $7 on it. So you just kind

of have to make your price based on that. So knowing that Poshmark takes a

percentage of it out then you just raise your price a little bit more that's what

I do. Now for items that are over $15 they take 20% off of it. So for item that's

$20 they'll take $4 you'll be left with $16.

For item that's $100 they'll take 20 and you'll be left with 80 and again I say

factor that into your pricing of the item. So if you need to jack it up a

little bit just to kind of have your buffer for the money that Poshmark will

take off please do it. Now I don't have a problem with Poshmark taking any coin

out because you get to host your item on their site and also you ain't got to

pay for shipping. The customer pays for shipping and Poshmark handles that on

their end. So as soon as you make a sale. So somebody sees this item online they

decide to go ahead and purchase it what you have to do is then ship it at that

time and Poshmark will send you a nice lovely

shipping label that you can affix to a priority shipping box. Now one of the

biggest regrets that I have from my first Poshmark video that I made a long

time ago is that I held up a box in there for the mailer and I used the wrong

box in that video. I held up a Express Mail and you should

use priority when you are shipping through Poshmark

again Priority Mail not Express Mail. It will not ship if you use Express Mail. So

the boxes are free. The shipping label is free. I ran into the store when I was in

the height of me selling deep on Poshmark and I would just grab like 10-12

boxes even smaller boxes. The big boxes. I would just grab all the Priority Mail

Boxes and have them at home. So whenever somebody made a purchase I would print my

mailing label off at work. Sorry old employer but my at old job I would print my

label off then I would affix it to the box and then I would go ahead and ship it.

Now I know the big question is how much money have I made on Poshmark. Now if

you guys can see my analytics right now you guys know I share everything with

you guys so I don't hide anything. So I have sold 35 items as you have seen

on Poshmark. Which I don't know if that's a lot or a little bit. I know

people who make millions and sell millions on Poshamrk. Some people like buy and

flip things. So they thrift things and then they flip it and make a profit on

there. I was just getting rid of stuff I already owned. So I got rid of 35 things.

I made four hundred and eighty one dollars. So close to $500 on Poshmark off

35 items with if you guys know my closet I'm not wearing Gucci. I'm ain't wearing Versace.

I'm wearing like boohoo and fashion nova type things. So my items weren't the

highest priced things. Some of the things were pretty inexpensive. So for me to

make close to $500 and that is how much I've netted. So that's not even including

the amount that Poshmark has gotten off of it. So even probably Poshmark has

probably made about 120 off. But again I work into my price point the fact that

Poshmark is taking some out. So I will up my prices a little bit. And a thing

about Poshmark is that people can make you offers on things. So say you're

selling something for $25 that's kind of your highest point but you'll take 22.

Somebody offers you $22 for it then you'll go ahead and say okay I'll accept

your offer. As you can see I have a lot of customer reviews on there. So a lot of

people have actually reviewed the fact that I'm an awesome seller on there. If

you guys can see my average day to ship was 1.2 days which is impressive. I would

say for myself. Some people take forever to ship. No, I'm like

a customer service person. I hate it when people ship me stuff and it takes

forever so I want to ship things out as fast as I can. As soon as I get in the

mailing label I'm shipping it and it's out the door in the day. And then

shipping is a priority two days so it gets that person within two days. But

that's my experience as a seller on Poshmark. Have had a wonderful experience

as a seller on Poshmark but if you guys saw my what's in my purse video I've

been a buyer on Poshmark as well. If you guys saw my what's in my purse video you

guys saw I have bought this Kate Spade purse from Poshmark. I'm inserting kind

of right now a receipt from me buying it. If you guys notice it's on there two times.

It's not a mistake. I bought this purse for $140 on Poshmark.

My grandmother saw it on me and she loved it so she wanted me to buy it. I

think I bought it for her for Christmas. I think I bought it for December of 2017

for her for Christmas because she loved it. If you notice mine is $140. For her it

was 150 because mine was new and hers was new with tags. And that's another

thing about Poshmark is you have to make sure that you put the right kind of

status on your item. Some items are new. Some items are new with tags like you've

never worn it. So for example that fashion nova top that's new with tags

never been worn but if you've taken the tags off but it's still new then you can

designate it as new. And then if it's used just put used on there. So the thing

about it you want to be truthful as a seller because you want to as a buyer if

you're buying something buy something that somebody has accurately depicted.

And I loved my experience as a buyer on Poshmark. Now again I'm a researcher so I

do a lot of research. So I researched the buyer I was getting it from cause I wanted

somebody who had a rave reviews. This person has over like 300 reviews on

everything she's sold online. Now I know they're people who have videos out there

how I made ten thousand dollars on Poshmark. I ain't got ten thousand dollars

worth of stuff. I have about five hundred dollars worth of stuff I was able to

sell and Poshmark really came through at a time when I wasn't making anything

from YouTube. Was making no money has less than five hundred subscribers was

barely getting any views but I was putting a lot of money into my YouTube

in terms of my camera in terms of buying here in terms of my clothes in terms of

my makeup everything I was putting it to my channel but making nothing back and

the one way I was able to kind of sell my YouTube was by selling stuff on

Poshmark that's why I feel so amazing to have partnered with them on this video

because coach Martin does not know how much they come through for you girl in a

time of love very much so neat when I was first starting out on YouTube that

had been in my experience with Poshmark leave any questions you have for me down

below about Poshmark as my experience of the seller if you have any questions

about being a buyer on there I've gotten a lot of questions in my last video

'Vice' Accuracy: How Much of the Cheney Movie Is True? | Heavy.com

One of the biggest criticisms among reviewers about Adam McKay's Vice movie about Dick Cheney is that it's only partially accurate.

Here's a quick rundown of some of the inaccuracies pointed out so far.

One of the major complaints is that the movie seems to point to motivations based mostly on money or simply power for power's sake, Slate points out.

For example, the movie seems to hint that Cheney just wants power and really doesn't believe in anything.

However, he had deeply conservative ideologies that drove him and others — not only to obtain the role of Vice President, but also to push for regime change in Iraq.

In addition, the movie seems to overlook the big role that the first Gulf War played in George W.

Bush's decision to invade Iraq, after his father left Saddam Hussein in power.

Hussein's history with the Bushes is unique in and of itself.

As The Washington Post reported in 2006, Bush Sr.

and Hussein began as allies in the 1980s, when Hussein was at war with the United States' enemy at the time, Iran.

Media in 1992 suggested that Bush Sr.

had advised Hussein to intensify bombings of Iran.

But then Hussein became less stable and couldn't be trusted, and invaded Kuwait in 1990.

Bush Sr.

did not invade Iraq, believing he would ultimately be overthrown, The Washington Post reported.

In fact, when Bush Sr.

went to Kuwait in 1993, a group of Iraqis crossed the border and media said at the time that it was a thwarted attempt to kill Bush Sr.

Although George W.

Bush was not there,  his wife Laura and mother Barbara were, and their lives were endangered.

This, some guessed, was part of the reason George W.

wanted to invade Iraq many years later.

It's not known, however, if that is true.

Peter Ricketts, a top British official, said in a 2002 memo that Bush's regime change sounded more "like a grudge between Bush and Saddam.".

Slate also points out that the narrator implies no one knew much about Cheney when he became Vice President, but in truth he was well known from his role in the Gulf War.

Some things are very accurate, Slate adds.

Cheney's devotion to his family, including his support for his daughter Mary and her marriage to Heather, was true.

Heather and Mary have two children together, and Dick and Lynne Cheney have been strong and open supporters of gay marriage.

Viewers might also bemoan how quickly the movie portrays Cheney's infamous shooting accident in the woods.

The horrific accident got so much national attention at the time that games modeled scenes after the shooting.

But in the movie, the actual scene is just a few seconds long and shown in quick cuts.

Interestingly, the lawyer that Dick Cheney shot in the face — Harry Whittington — actually gave a press conference apologizing to the Cheneys, strange as that may sound.

Whittington was 78 when the shooting happened, and today he's 91.

They were hunting quail in 2006 in Riviera, Texas when the accident happened.

At the time, the accident was nicknamed "Quailgate." Cheney said he fired at what he thought was a bird, but accidentally shot about 150 birdshot pellets at Whittington.

Whittington had a heart attack from the lead making its way into his blood vessels, Indiewire reported.

Cheney did ultimately admit that what he did was wrong, despite reports that he never apologized, CNN reported.  In 2006, Cheney said: "I am the guy who pulled the trigger and shot my friend.

That is something I will never forget.".

Cheney said that yes, Whittington was shot because he rejoined the quail-hunting party without announcing himself.

But Cheney said he was ultimately responsible.

"Ultimately, I am the guy who pulled the trigger and fired the round that hit Harry.

You can talk about all the other conditions that existed at the time, but that's the bottom line.

It's not Harry's fault.

You can't blame anybody else.".

Here's the video where Whittington apologized to Cheney:.

If you want to really compare Vice's accuracy to a real-life account, many viewers suggest watching the documentary called The World According to Dick Cheney.

In this documentary, Cheney talks about his career and all the controversies surrounding his life.

You can watch it on Showtime, or on Amazon with a seven-day free Showtime trial.

How Much These Avengers Actors Really Make - Duration: 10:29.

Who is the wealthiest among Earth's Mightiest Heroes?

The amount Disney pays the actors portraying our favorite Marvel characters may surprise

you.

Let's take a look at just how much the actors who play the Avengers are actually worth offscreen.

At a time when the superhero genre was thought to be on its last legs, cinematically, Iron

Man opened huge and launched what would become known as Phase One, the initial slate of movies

that set the baseline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Robert Downey Jr. has appeared in multiple MCU movies since as the eccentric billionaire

Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

He's not quite a billionaire himself, but in Forbes magazine's list of highest paid

actors for 2018, Downey came in third, with an income of $81 million.

That includes an estimated $15 million upfront for his supporting role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

He earned several times that amount for Avengers: Infinity War.

It's rumored that Downey was paid $200 million total for that film and its sequel, Avengers:

Endgame.

That's a long way from the reported $50 million he received for appearing in The Avengers,

and even further from the $2.5 million he was paid for the original Iron Man.

According to Chris Hemsworth, he totally blew his first audition for Thor, only to see his

younger brother Liam get callback after callback for the role.

When it eventually became clear that Liam wouldn't be cast, Chris tried again, recording

a second audition tape while on location filming Cabin in the Woods with his future Avengers

director Joss Whedon.

This time Chris nailed it, and claimed his rightful title as God of Thunder.

Forbes' list of highest-paid actors placed Hemsworth fourth in 2018, with an income of

$64.5 million.

That number includes his earnings from the blockbusters Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers:

Infinity War.

The original Thor, from Phase One, reportedly paid the actor just $150,000.

In 2018, Chris Evans finished filming his tenth MCU outing as Captain America - Avengers:

Endgame.

This entry in the Avengers series is slated to be Evans' final appearance in the MCU,

according to multiple reports that were kinda sorta confirmed by a tweet from Evans himself.

Evans tweeted,

"Officially wrapped on Avengers 4.

Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor.

To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you

for the memories.

Eternally grateful."

Evans leaves the role considerably wealthier than he was when he started.

He was paid $1 million for Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, but in 2018, Forbes

listed him as the 10th highest paid actor in the world.

He reportedly earned $34 million over the preceding year, largely from portraying Steve

Rogers in Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Thanks for your service, Cap!

Scarlett Johansson has appeared in multiple Marvel films, but will finally get the largest

payday of her career with her leading role in the upcoming Black Widow standalone movie.

Johansson is reportedly set to make $15 million for her appearance, reportedly matching what

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans received for Avengers: Infinity War.

The film is said to be set before the events of the Avengers films, and will follow a chapter

of the character's journey from Russian spy to superhero.

Johansson received a "low seven-figure" salary for her work in the first Avengers movie,

after making her MCU debut in Iron Man 2 in 2012.

Black Widow doesn't have a release date yet, but is slated to begin filming in 2019 - a

start date that would seem poised to make it the second female superhero-centered film

to be released by Marvel following Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson, which is set

to be released March 8, 2019.

Brie Larson was cast as Captain Marvel fresh off her Best Actress Oscar for 2015's Room.

Needless to say, a star of her caliber brings not only a well-known name, but an expectation

of on-screen depth to the MCU.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, speaking to Vanity Fair, said of the casting,

"Captain Marvel has powers that far surpass many of her heroic counterparts, and in order

to bring this superhero to life and make her relatable and disarming we needed an actress

with both range and humanity."

Bringing her pedigree to the role of Captain Marvel gave Larson some leverage at the negotiating

table.

She reportedly earned $5 million for the movie - a large paycheck for an opening lead vehicle

in the MCU.

It's also been reported that Larson's high-dollar deal includes a seven-picture commitment that

locks her into multiple franchises for the foreseeable future.

The MCU has steadily added star power as it's grown in scope - narratively as well as in

terms of box office - and Benedict Cumberbatch offers a distinguished example.

During the exhaustive casting process for Doctor Strange, Marvel looked at many actors

with similar levels of celebrity, ultimately passing on Ethan Hawke, Joaquin Phoenix, and

Jared Leto.

Before he landed the gig, Cumberbatch was nominated for an Oscar for his role in The

Imitation Game and was quite well known for his work on BBC's Sherlock.

Cumberbatch was reportedly paid $3.2 million for appearing in Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok,

Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

He's said to be making just under $10 million for the upcoming Doctor Strange 2, which is

scheduled to begin filming in 2019.

In 2012, Bruce Banner finally became science bros with Tony Stark in The Avengers.

But Mark Ruffalo was in a very different position entering the film, portraying a character

that had his own Phase One standalone - 2008's The Incredible Hulk - without having actually

played the role himself.

As a result, Ruffalo earned a rumored $2 million for The Avengers, and $2.8 million for Avengers:

Age of Ultron.

That salary increased for Avengers: Infinity War to a rumored $5-to-6 million.

The CGI Hulk is one of the most expensive characters to bring to the screen, but Ruffalo

earns a relatively modest payday for playing his human counterpart - at least compared

to the other Avengers.

Could a standalone Hulk film raise Ruffalo's asking price to Robert Downey Jr.'s level?

Not likely.

According to Ruffalo himself, a solo Hulk film isn't anywhere close to being a reality.

Following a D23 Panel in 2017, Ruffalo commented on the subject, putting the rumors to rest:

"A standalone Hulk movie will never happen.

Because Universal has the rights to the standalone Hulk movie and, for some reason, they don't

know how to play well with Marvel."

Ruffalo added that he only has "two or three years" before he's too old to even play the

Hulk.

Most of the Avengers signed contracts for at least six movies.

It's been said that Jeremy Renner's contract covers six films, minimum, likely with a solo

movie in there somewhere.

However, there is currently no Hawkeye or Ronin standalone film in any stage of production.

In fact, we haven't seen Renner in an MCU film since Captain America: Civil War's cliffhanger

of an ending.

Hawkeye may have been out of his league in Infinity War's cosmic-level event, but his

no-show did not go unnoticed by fans.

Kevin Feige said of the internet's interest in the glaring absence of the linchpin Avenger,

"[...] I love that people go from 'Oh, Hawkeye is just lucky to be there' to 'Oh where is

he?

He's not there?

What's going to happen?

We need Hawkeye.

We want more Hawkeye.'"

For the first Avengers film, Renner was rumored to have made at least $2 million, with a bump

up to a rumored $6 million for Age of Ultron.

We can assume that after taking Infinity War off, Renner is likely in line for another

pay raise in his hotly anticipated return to the franchise in Avengers: Endgame.

And then there's that rumored Hawkeye TV show potentially in-the-works for Disney's upcoming

streaming service, Disney+, which could see Renner-as-Barton training the next generation

of Avengers archer, and likely getting a nice payday for his troubles.

Not much is known about the details of Paul Bettany's MCU contract, but he told Jimmy

Fallon in 2015 that his voice work alone was quite profitable:

"I would work for about 40 minutes and then they would give me a huge bag of cash.

And then I would walk out like I was a thief."

He's also has joked about his jealousy of Robert Downey Jr.'s compensation.

Speaking to Hollywood Outbreak, the Vision and Jarvis actor quipped,

"I like my character, but I'd love Robert Downey Jr.'s profit participation."

Elizabeth Olsen made her MCU debut in a mid-credits sequence at the end of Captain America: The

Winter Soldier.

She's gone on to portray the Scarlet Witch in three more films and is slated to appear

in Avengers: Endgame.

Olsen has been tight-lipped about her contract with Marvel, but she's made it known that

she doesn't concern herself with the details.

Olsen told the Independent in 2016,

"I let the people that I hire do my contracts.

I would work for nothing and they know that."

Samuel L. Jackson has starred in dozens of films during his prolific career.

In total, his movies have earned just over $5.7 billion worldwide.

According to Box Office Mojo, that makes Jackson the highest-grossing actor of all time.

Jackson first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nick Fury in a stinger at the

end of Iron Man in 2008.

When he initially signed on to play the role of the Avengers' assembler, it was for nine

movies.

Jackson is set to play a large, digitally de-aged part in the upcoming Captain Marvel,

his ninth MCU film.

Will he re-up with another contract?

It seems likely, given that Fury is often the connective tissue in the far-flung stories

of the MCU, but so far, no details have emerged.

It's said that he received $4-to-6 million for the first Avengers film, and his long-term

contract likely had built-in modest raises.

With nine paydays under his belt, it remains to be seen how many more are in Jackson's

future with the MCU.

It should be noted that what an actor makes for each film and the details of their contract

with a given studio are often at best unverified rumors and at worst spurious speculation.

They come from lightly sourced rumors in industry trades and are often reported as gospel.

It's definitely in the studio's interest to keep the truth under wraps to protect their

negotiation power as much as possible.

But we've heard the same stories repeatedly about the way Marvel pays its stars - the

studio puts up a little collateral upfront, banking on the fact that the intellectual

property will carry the box office and set the stage for future large paydays.

Examples include Tom Hiddleston, who reportedly made $160,000 for Avengers, and Zoe Saldana,

whose base salary for Guardians of the Galaxy is said to be about $100,000 before her profit

participation bonus.

Chadwick Boseman is said to have been paid about $2 million for his starring role in

the billion-dollar Black Panther, with a well-deserved raise said to be on the way.

Chris Pratt was reported to have earned $1.5 million for playing Star-Lord in the original

Guardians, with a bump up to $5 million for Avengers: Infinity War.

Paul Rudd, another actor with a well-known body of work, may have only received $300,000

for the first Ant-Man, but his total MCU compensation is likely much, much higher.

The Real Estate Market HAS Shifted - What Does That Mean For You? with Kari Murphy - Duration: 3:08.

The real estate market has shifted.

How much has it shifted

and what does it mean for you?

(easy guitar music)

Hi everybody, I'm Kari Murphy

with the Whissel Realty Group

And as 2018 comes to an end I wanted to take

a quick look at some of the most relevant stats

that are affecting the San Diego real estate market today.

What I want to do first is a quick recap

of the homes values in the San Diego County market.

So compared to year-to-date, 2017,

home values have actually risen 6.2%.

But what I want to focus on are the leading indicators

and that is what is happening in the market today

that you can expect to see results from

a few months from now.

So, first up, our new listings.

New listings are up 8.9%.

That means there are more homes

coming on the market today

then there were this time last year.

Second, are pending homes.

These are the number of homes that are actually on,

in escrow right now, they're currently in escrow.

So compared to this time last year

pending homes are down 12.8%.

So third, we have inventory.

This is all of the homes

that are currently available for sale

in San Diego County.

So compared to this time last year

inventory's up 36.5% indicating

there's no shortage of supply.

So fourth and final we have average days on market.

So this is how long it takes to typically sell

a home here in San Diego County.

So compared to this time last year,

average days on market are down,

they're up as far as well at 13.3%.

So because there are more homes on the market

this means it takes just a little bit more time

to sell those homes.

So what does all of this mean to you?

Home values are up and we are just keeping

an eye on the fact that there are more homes

on the market for sale

and it takes a little bit longer to sell these homes.

So we want to pay attention to that,

but not to worry though.

We have simply shifted from the old market

to a new, more normalized market.

All-in-all, if you're a seller

and you've been thinking of selling your home

I would recommend getting your house on the market now

because come spring everybody else

who's also been thinking of selling their home

is going to have theirs on the market as well

creating more competition for you.

And if you're a buyer in this market

and you've been on the fence

and you've been thinking about waiting

until spring to make a purchase,

right now is a great time to purchase.

You have less competition and interest rates

have actually just decreased 3/8 of a percentage point

which increases your purchasing power.

Additionally, if you are a renter

you can bet that when your lease comes time to renew

that rate will go up.

So basically all of these stats,

they are pertaining to all over San Diego County,

all the areas, single-family homes, condominiums.

Confidence Hacks: How to Apply Risk/Reward Ratio to Decision Making - Duration: 3:31.

Hi everybody, I'm John graden author of the imposter syndrome

I'd like to talk to you about one of the strategies that has been key to my success

Simply it's this

fire ready aim and that runs in direct contrast to what many

academic business scholars might tell you about the importance of

Creating business plans and marketing plans and planning every for every contingency and you know what the reality is

Successful people doesn't mean you don't plan

It's not important to plan planning is good

But pull the trigger get on with it develop a sense of urgency and for a lot of people that's scary

Let me help you understand what I mean

In our society a Western society a capitalist society

Rewards are in direct proportion to risk it's called risk reward ratio. It's nothing to do, you know the probably from stock trading or business?

But it's the same in life. The answer is always no until you ask

people that

end up in what I call comfort zones people that take low-paying low-skilled jobs and

Stay in those jobs

Year in year out they may have 20 years in a position as a waitress

I was working as a hotel, but that's not 20 years of evolution and growth that's repeating the same year

20 times and what happens there is that they are making the choice of

Staying in the comfort zone even though it's uncomfortable, but the known devil is better than the unknown devil

Do these people so rather than risk?

Striking out to improve their lot in life

they elect to stay in the pain that they are currently in the opposite to that is you and I we

Like to make sure that every year is a year of progression. We like to set goals and go after them aggressively

So a big part of this for me has been fire ready aim when I sink my teeth in a new project

I fire I pulled the trigger

I spend a little time thinking about it and then I get on with it when I wrote the imposter syndrome

The idea came to me at 2:30 in the morning

I was actually laying in bed running through titles

And I came up with this idea for the I think the secret self confidence was the original idea and I stood up immediately

I banged out 21 chapter ideas and the next morning. I started writing the book within 30 days. It was complete now

Of course, I didn't release the book which has 30 days in preparation

I've been sent it out to editors and peers to look it over to give me some feedback and tweak it until it was the

Book that's getting the acclaim that it currently is. However

How many people that we know of?

How many of you I've got this great idea for books sitting back in your mind?

You've been thinking about it forever, but you've never pulled the trigger

Too many of us get caught up in

Analysis paralysis. We take every seminar necessary. We take every seminar there is rather

We buy every book we listen every audio cassette and I'm the same way. I'm gonna sit at our junkie. I'm a knowledge

Junkie, but here's the three times rule

whatever money you spend on a

Seminar a learning program whatever it is over the course of the next 30 days you want to invest three times as much in applying?

What you've learned so if it cost me a thousand dollars

I have to figure out how much time it takes me to earn a thousand dollars

Then I multiply that times three in terms of the time required how many hours and then I spend three times as much

Attacking what?

I just learned again fire ready aim key elements of success a key component of success is

Fire ready aim get on with it develop a sense of urgency to everything

You do most people procrastinate they put things off

They say they're gonna do something and then they don't follow through make sure that is not you get on with it

I'm John graden. I hope that helps Thanks

#Ask Sallie: How much of my paycheck should go toward my retirement? - Duration: 0:47.

- How much of my paycheck should go to future me,

and towards my retirement?

The rule to remember here, is the 50/30/20 rule.

That means that 50% of your take-home pay,

should go towards your needs.

That's your rent, that's the clothes you need for work.

30% should go to fun.

Everybody needs to have fun.

And 20% goes to future you.

Future, grandma, you.

Now at points in your life,

the full 20% should be invested towards retirement.

That could be after the kids have left, for example,

or before you have kids.

At certain points, a different percent will be going towards

the house that you want to buy,

or the business that you wanna start,

in which case, you may take down

the retirement percentage to 10%, 12%, etc.
