BraveHeARTS Veteran Art Therapy Program – Training Emerging Artists from our United States Veterans - Duration: 4:47.

♪[Music]♪

The BRAVEHeARTS Program has been a collaboration

between the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach

and the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.

We were approached by the Armory with this idea

to use art to help heal our veterans.

Since we have a Arts for Healing Program started with our youth,

we... the Board decided that what can we do for adults,

and the first thing we thought of were the veterans.

Through the BRAVEHeARTS Program with the Armory Art Center,

we are encouraging veterans to find another outlet.

I have a lot of veterans that I have worked with

that feel comfortable coming to the VA Medical Center

for their care,

but we want to get them more integrated in their communities.

And doing that through the arts

has been a very natural progression.

Getting them comfortable in creating art,

going to a community art center,

feeling part of that community base,

has been really healing and helpful for the participants.

So this therapy for me and others as we say

we... we... we have a group dynamics where we can laugh,

we can joke, and we speak the same language,

whether it be through the pain or our struggles,

but at the same time we motivate each other in here,

and we are being creative and productive at the same time.

Through these classes not only are they finding a home

for groups of veterans to... to come together

and have a shared experience,

but they are also finding community with the instructors

and the people that they are working alongside

with that may not be veterans,

but they are making these new connections in a space

that they probably wouldn't have come to on their own.

I have worked with the BRAVEHeARTS Program

for the ceramics component,

photography component,

painting component,

and now the metal work component,

and I find it very... very beneficial.

A lot of veterans because they struggle with PTSD,

the art helps them with their mental health

helps the right side of their brain

with visualization, it helps with so many things.

I have recently developed my art talent

that I have kind of been on the back-burner

while I was in the military,

and I heard about this and I said, I have never welded.

It sounded intriguing and I have never done metal sculpture

and I said it's a challenge.

I had the opportunity so I did.

The veterans are self-motivated people.

They are... they come in and they are ready to work.

Get... get the job done whatever it is.

In metal sculpture

there is a lot of tedious kind of boring stuff,

grinding, whatever.

These guys just went right after it, you know,

half-hour, 45 minutes grinding away without stopping, so...

It's a great class.

The welding class, I guess, just art in general

because I... I have never been an artist

and I have never been associated with anything like this;

and let me tell you, looking at that eagle,

gives me a lot of pride.

It's just like being in the military.

We've been utilizing teamwork

and everyone is trying to help, and pitch in

come up with a solution if there is an issue that comes up.

I... I had a major operation this year

and I thought it might be

helpful to work with some other guys

and get back on my feet a little bit.

I... I think the final project is going to really look nice.

Once we get it set, once we get it all polished up,

and everything, working on Sundays anyway,

it's going to be really nice!

In the long term they are going to have better success

in sense of achievements.

It helped them be more aware of themselves.

So, I would recommend it as a continued program ongoing,

and more veterans should be more engaged it.

The arts at the end of the day can...

can be challenging people.

They might say, I don't like art,

but if they would really honestly give it a chance,

they would see the real strong benefits of it.

I have been working with veterans for a long time,

and from working with them for years,

they never expected that art can actually

help transform their thinking

and help their mental health.

So, I always recommend it for any veteran,

if they are really give it a chance,

it would definitely help improve their mental health.

US Congressman Steve King believes dog fighting should be LEGAL! - Duration: 3:01.

Congressman Steve King [R, Iowa] believes dog fighting should not be illegal in in the

United States.

His explanation for this baffling statement?

Since humans are allowed to fight, why not allow dogs as well?

'It's wrong to rate animals above human being' King opinatined during an interview

at a town hall.

'There is something wrong with society to make it a crime to watch dog fighting, but

there is no law that bans somebody to watch people fight'.

(An audio recording of his statement can be listened below in the video)

If we take King's statements into account, then society should be allowing animals to

enroll in university and get pets to pay their taxes.

The fundamental difference between humans and animals is that humans have a choice.

If a person wants to be a professional boxer, for instance, he is entering a bout fully

aware of what he is doing.

It is his choice.

Dogs are certainly not asked if they are willing to bite each other until they die just so

humans can be entertained.

Those dogs are defenseless, they are MADE to do this against their will!

UPDATE: U.S. Rep. Steve King is picking a fight with

the Humane Society of the United States.

On Jan. 29, the congressman from western Iowa tweeted the following: "The Humane Society

of the United States, I have long referred to as the vegan lobby, is raising money again.

Objective: animals = 2 people."

This tweet triggered a flurry of responses from people accusing King of supporting dog

fighting and being an animal hater.

That, in turn, prompted King to emphatically state that he does not support dog fighting.

Then he added one ill-advised suggestion: "You can check my record."

But we already know what his record show right?

– Read below: Unfortunately, Mr. King has a lot to catch

up.

I have also learned that this is not the first time Congressman King has sparked outrage

in the animal rights community.

1.

In February 2010, King tweeted that he chased and shot a raccoon because the helpless animal

had tried to get into his house during a powerful storm.

2.

In July 2012, King strongly opposed the McGovern amendment (in connection to the 1012 farm

bill) that would have established penalties for knowingly attending an animal fight and

for bringing underage children to such events.

3.

King was also one of the members that voted against an upgrade of penalties for transporting

fighting animals across state lines in 2007.

I strongly believe in free speech, but Congressman King's assertions are simply outrageous

and unacceptable Plese share this with your friends and family.

Supreme Court Unanimously Rules Constitutions Ban on Excessive Fines Applies to States

WASHINGTON The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Wednesday that the Constitutions ban on excessive fines applies to the states, an outcome that could help efforts to rein in police seizure of property from criminal suspects.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote the courts opinion in favor of Tyson Timbs, of Marion, Indiana. Police seized Timbs dollar 40,000 Land Rover when they arrested him for selling about dollar 400 worth of heroin.

Reading a summary of her opinion in the courtroom, Ginsburg noted that governments employ fines out of accord with the penal goals of retribution and deterrence because fines are a source of revenue. The 85 year old justice missed arguments last month following lung cancer surgery, but returned to the bench on Tuesday.

Timbs pleaded guilty, but faced no prison time. The biggest loss was the Land Rover he bought with some of the life insurance money he received after his father died.

Timbs still has to win one more round in court before he gets his vehicle back, but that seems to be a formality. A judge ruled that taking the car was disproportionate to the severity of the crime, which carries a maximum fine of dollar 10,000. But Indianas top court said the justices had never ruled that the Eighth Amendments ban on excessive fines like much of the rest of the Bill of Rights applies to states as well as the federal government.

The case drew interest from liberal groups concerned about police abuses and conservative organizations opposed to excessive regulation. Timbs was represented by the libertarian public interest law firm Institute for Justice.

Law enforcement authorities have dramatically increased their use of civil forfeiture in recent decades. When law enforcement seizes the property of people accused of crimes, the proceeds from its sale often go directly to the agency that took it, Institute for Justice lawyer Wesley Hottot said in his written arguments in support of Timbs.

For ordinary citizens, the real world consequences can be devastating, Hottot said.

The case is Timbs v. Indiana, 17 1091.

Supreme Court Unanimously Rules Constitutional Ban On High Fines Applies To States HuffPost

WASHINGTON AP — The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Wednesday that the Constitutions ban on excessive fines applies to the states, an outcome that could help efforts to rein in police seizure of property from criminal suspects.

But Indianas top court said the justices had never ruled that the Eighth Amendments ban on excessive fines — like much of the rest of the Bill of Rights — applies to states as well as the federal government.

The case drew interest from liberal groups concerned about police abuses and conservative organizations opposed to excessive regulation. Timbs was represented by the libertarian public interest law firm Institute for Justice.

The decision is an important first step for curtailing the potential for abuse that we see in civil forfeiture nationwide, said Sam Gedge, a lawyer with the Institute for Justice.

Law enforcement authorities have dramatically increased their use of civil forfeiture in recent decades. When law enforcement seizes the property of people accused of crimes, the proceeds from its sale often go directly to the agency that took it, the law firm said in written arguments in support of Timbs.

As it did in earlier cases applying parts of the Bill of Rights to the states, the court based its decision on the part of the 14th Amendment that says no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty or property without due process of law. That same provision, the due process clause, also was used in cases that established a womans right to an abortion and knocked down state laws against interracial marriage and gay sex.

The 14th Amendment was passed after the Civil War to ensure the rights of newly freed slaves.

Justice Clarence Thomas wrote separately to say he would have used a different part of the 14th amendment to achieve the same result. Thomas has long been a critic of the courts application of the due process clause, which also is found in the Fifth Amendment. He wrote that cases that employ the provision are some of the courts most notoriously incorrect decisions, including the abortion rights landmark case Roe v. Wade and the 1857 Dred Scott case that held that African Americans were not citizens.

Thomas said he would have relied on the Constitutions language forbidding states from making or enforcing any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States.

Justice Neil Gorsuch also expressed his preference for the privileges or immunities clause.

The case is Timbs v. Indiana, 17 1091.

WASHINGTON ľ President Donald Trump said Wednesday that an American woman who was the bride of an Islamic State fighter and now wants to come home will not be allowed back in the United States.

I have instructed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and he fully agrees, not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country! Trump wrote on Twitter.

Muthana traveled to Syria and marriedáand hadáa child with an ISIS fighter and now wants to face the U.S. justice system.

But Pompeo said earlier Wednesday that Muthanaáis not an American citizen and "does not have any legal basis, no valid U.S. passport, no right to a passport," contradictingástatements by her familyáand her Florida based lawyer, who said she was born ináHackensack, New Jersey, in 1994.á

I have instructed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and he fully agrees, not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country!

Muthana, who was raised in Alabama, left the United Statesáto join ISISáfour years ago at ageá19. In Syria, she called for Americans to be attacked, and she spread the groupsápropaganda online.á

She is one of aboutá ľ the spouses and children of Islamic State militants ľáheld in a Kurdish run detention camp in northern Syria.á

Muthana is there with her 18 month old son.The childs father is not alive. Two of her previous husbands, both Islamic State militants, are also dead. Muthana is not allowed to leave the camp and has armed guards protecting her from Islamic State sympathizers.áShe is asking to be allowed to return to the U.S. to face due process.á

Start the day smarter:

"The government needs to engage with her, but not just her;áall of these people who joined ISIS" from the West, saidáHassan Shibly,áMuthanas lawyer.á

"If sheábroke the law, then the justice system can deal with her, and if she didnt break the law, she should come back anyway, so it can be determined if she is a threat."

Muthana realized she was wrong and now wants to return to the United States, Shibly, a lawyer for her family said Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019. Photo11: AP

Shibly said Muthana has realized she made a mistake in movingáto Syria andáwants to return to the USAáto face justice and "pay any debts she has to society." He said she wants to speak out against the Islamic State and help de radicalize other Americans.

Muthana abandoned her family and fled to Syria iná2014, a year after she graduated from high school. She briefly studied at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Shibly shared a letteráMuthana wrote this week in which she describedáherselfáas "naive, angry and arrogant" when she decided to journey to Syria.á

"During my years in Syria, I would see and experience a way of life and the terrible effects of war, which changed me," Muthana wrote. "Seeing bloodshed up close changed me. Motherhood changed me. Seeing friends, children and the men I married dying changed me. Seeing how different a society could be compared to the beloved America I was born and raised into changed me."

Shibly, executive director of the Florida Council on American Islamic Relationsáin Tampa, said it was not clear from a legal standpoint whetheráMuthanas "marrying into ISIS" could warrant a "material support charge" to Islamic State activities, which range from terroráattacks in the USAáand Europeáto beheadings in Iraq and Syria.á

Alan Dershowitz, a former Harvard law professor, said that if he were advising Muthana, he would tell her that coming back to the USAáwould be "risky."áDershowitzátold the New York Post her case would be a "close call" even if all she did was tweet and send emails.

Muthana claimedáto have had no contact with U.S. authorities, and Shibly said she can leave the camp only if the U.S. government asks for her release. Its not clear if it has.áU.S. immigration authorities were not available to answer questions about her case, including whether a U.S. citizen can be barred from entering his or her own country.á

In a briefing, State Department spokesmanáRobert Palladinoáwould not address Muthanas specific case, but said repatriating foreign terrorist fighters to their countries of origin was theá"best solution to preventing them from returning to the battlefield."

Pompeo subsequently issued theástatement Wednesday in which he claimed that Muthana was not a U.S. citizen and would not be allowed back in.

Shibly, however, provided USA TODAYáwith a copy of Muthanas birth certificate, which lists her place of birth as Hackensack, New Jersey.

A birth certificate provided by Hoda Muthanas attorney lists her place of birth as Hackensack, N.J. Muthana traveled to Syria and married, but now wants to return to the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says shes not an American citizen. Photo11: Submitted

Steve Vladeck, a law professor at the University of Texas, said that Pompeo cant just assert that someone born in the U.S.áis not a U.S. citizen.

"I gather that the governments argument is that she was born to a diplomat who was in the United States on official business, and so was not entitled to birthright citizenship. Thats correct as a matter of law if its true, but its not true just because the government says so," he said in a Twitter message to USA TODAY.á

Only six American militants have returned from fighting or training with militant groups in Syria, according to , a Washington based foreign policy research institute.

All were taken into custody. Muthana may be the first American spouse or partner of an Islamic Stateáfighter who has sought to return home. The New York Times has reported that another woman, dual U.S. Canadian nationaláKimberly Gwen Polman, 46, is also in the al hawl refugee camp in Syria. She left Canada in 2015.á

A similar case in , 19, from London, whoágave birth to a baby boy over the weekend in the same camp where Muthana is held.

Begum, who left Britain for Syria at age 15 and married an Islamic Stateáfighter,áwants to return to Britain for the sake of her childs welfare, but British authorities, including the nations interior minister, indicated they might try to block her return. They might find that difficult to do because a British national cant theoretically be prevented from returning home unless that personáis also a national of another country. Begumáisnt.

The womans London based lawyer, Tasnime Akunjee, said Tuesday that the British governmentáinformed him that it is trying to strip Begum of her British citizenship.á

As for Muthana, "whether its a few years in jail, 20 years in jailáor no jail, shes open to the legal process, and shes not asking for a free pass, just due process," Shibly said.á

Supreme Court rules against excessive seizure of property by states - Duration: 4:09.

Supreme Court rules against excessive seizure of property by states

A constitutional provision prohibiting the imposition of excessive fines extends beyond the federal government to states and cities, the Supreme Court ruled Wednesday.

The high courts unanimous decision expanding the Eighth Amendments excessive fines clause delivered a victory to an Indiana man who challenged the states seizure of his dollar 42,000 Land Rover. The ruling means in states and cities — like the feds — the amount of the forfeiture must bear some relationship to the gravity of the offense that it is designed to punish.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who returned to the bench for the first time since undergoing lung cancer surgery in December, wrote the opinion.

For good reason, the protection against excessive fines has been a constant shield throughout Anglo American history: Exorbitant tolls undermine other constitutional liberties, Ginsburg wrote.

The justices heard oral arguments in the case in November, which raised the question of whether the Eighth Amendments excessive fines clause should be applied to the states under the 14th Amendment — the Reconstruction era constitutional change broadly expanding citizenship rights.

While the Bill of Rights originally applied only to the federal government when enacted, the Supreme Court has since ruled that provisions of the Bill of Rights apply to the states under the 14th Amendment, with the exception of a few. In a 2010 case, the Supreme Court ruled the 14th Amendment prevents the states, as well as the federal government, from infringing on the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self defense.

At the center of the Eighth Amendment case is Tyson Timbs, a 37 year old machinist from Marion, Ind., whose Land Rover was seized by the state after he was arrested on his way to sell heroin, to what turned out to be to undercover police officers.

Timbs twice previously sold drugs to undercover officers. The Land Rover was purchased for roughly dollar 42,000 with money Timbs received from his fathers life insurance policy after his death in 2012.

After his arrest, Timbs pleaded guilty to one count of dealing in a controlled substance. He was sentenced to one year of home detention and five years of probation, and had to pay court fees and fines totaling dollar 1,200.

The state then moved to take Timbs Land Rover using civil forfeiture, which gives law enforcement the power to seize property if they suspect its tied to criminal activity.

Following his guilty plea, a trial court in Indiana and the Indiana Court of Appeals found that taking the Land Rover would be grossly disproportional to the gravity of Timbs offense — and unconstitutional under the Constitutions excessive fines clause.

The trial judge noted Timbs vehicle was worth roughly four times the maximum monetary fine of dollar 10,000 the state could have levied against him for his crimes.

But the Indiana Supreme Court disagreed, and said the Supreme Court has never held that the states are subject to the Excessive Fines Clause.

The justices sent Timbs case back to the lower court for further proceedings.

Protection against excessive punitive economic sanctions secured by the clause is, to repeat, both fundamental to our scheme of ordered liberty and deeply rooted in this nations history and tradition, Ginsburg wrote.

During oral arguments, the justices seemed poised to rule in Timbs favor, paving the way for him to get his Land Rover back.

The case brought together a diverse coalition who supported Timbs, uniting the American Civil Liberties Union and the Southern Poverty Law Center with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Americans for Prosperity.

States join forces to fight Trumps national emergency in court Politics WORLD

A coalition of 16 states has officially filed a lawsuit challenging President Donald Trumps emergency declaration to pay for a wall on the U.S. Mexico border. The , filed Monday in San Francisco, argues that the presidents emergency declaration on Friday constituted an abuse of presidential power by circumventing Congress. Contrary to the will of Congress, the president has used the pretext of a manufactured crisis of unlawful immigration to declare a national emergency and redirect federal dollars, the lawsuit says. The plaintiff states are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Virginia.

Trump condemned the move Tuesday. As I predicted, 16 states, led mostly by Open Border Democrats and the Radical Left, have filed a lawsuit in, of course, the 9th Circuit! he . The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against the Trump administration before in other immigration matters such as the 2017 ban on travelers from some Muslim majority countries.

Lawmakers granted Trump dollar 1.4 billion for new border barriers in a budget bill compromise to prevent another partial government shutdown last week, a far cry from the dollar 5.7 billion the White House originally demanded. The president intends to redirect funding from several places, including a drug interdiction program and military construction, to get more money for the wall.

Harvest is a graduate of the World Journalism Institute and a reporter for WORLD.

We should be suing CAL and other states over the money they demand to keep illegals from being prosecuted for the laws they have broken. It seems they bypassed legal paths to get the money they wanted to house and feed illegals. But it certainly doesnt keep illegals from attacking Americans.

????? ????? Youre becoming as incoherent as our president. This slur is too general to be useful. Facts and examples would help.

The only states on the border are illogically liberal. All the others are far removed from the southern border and the problems unique to that area.  Interesting commentary on the sorry state of affairs in this formerly great country.

We will have to change our name to The Disunited States of America.

Over 1,000 Hate Groups Are Now Active in United States, Civil Rights Group Says The New York Times - Duration: 4:18.

Over 1,000 Hate Groups Are Now Active in United States, Civil Rights Group Says The New York Times

The number of hate groups in the United States rose for the fourth year in a row in 2018, pushed to a record high by a toxic combination of political polarization, anti immigrant sentiment and technologies that help spread propaganda online, the Southern Poverty Law Center said Wednesday.

The law center said the number of hate groups rose by 7 percent last year to 1,020, a 30 percent jump from 2014. That broadly echoes other worrying developments, including a 30 percent increase in the number of hate crimes reported to the F.B.I. from 2015 through 2017 and a surge of right wing violence that the Anti Defamation League said had killed at least 50 people in 2018.

Were seeing a lot of bad trends, Heidi Beirich, the director of the intelligence project at the Southern Poverty Law Center, said in an interview on Wednesday. There are more hate groups, more hate crimes and more domestic terrorism in that same vein. It is a troubling set of circumstances.

Ms. Beirich said the increase in extremist activity tracked by her team began in earnest in the early days of the 2016 presidential election, when anxieties over immigration helped propel President Trump to the White House. Before that, she said, the number of hate groups had fallen for three straight years.

Trump has made people in the white supremacist movement move back into politics and the public domain, Ms. Beirich said. He is a critical aspect of this dynamic, but he is not the only reason why the ranks of hate groups are growing. The ability to propagate hate in the online space is key.

The center said in a statement that most hate groups in the United States espoused some form of white supremacist ideology, including neo Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan, neo Confederates and white nationalists. It said the number of white nationalist groups jumped by almost 50 percent, to 148 in 2018 from 100.

For the purposes of its study, the center said it considered any organization whose leaders, activities or statement of principles attacks an entire class of people to be a hate group. Violence is not a prerequisite.

The centers findings run parallel to a in the United States that was issued last month by the Anti Defamation Leagues Center on Extremism.

That report said that right wing extremism was linked to every extremist related killing the group tracked in 2018, at least 50, and that jihadist groups were linked to none. It said that made 2018 the deadliest year for right wing extremism since the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

The law center and the Anti Defamation League both pointed to at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in October as a symptom of the increasingly combustible mix of anti immigrant sentiment, violence and online conspiracy mongering.

The white supremacist attack in Pittsburgh should serve as a wake up call to everyone about the deadly consequences of hateful rhetoric, Jonathan A. Greenblatt, the president of the Anti Defamation League, said in a statement accompanying its report. Its time for our nations leaders to appropriately recognize the severity of the threat and to devote the necessary resources to address the scourge of right wing extremism.

But the rise in anti immigrant sentiment had also created an equal yet opposite reaction, the Southern Poverty Law Center said. As the number of white supremacist groups rose, so did the number of radical black nationalist groups that espoused anti white, anti Semitic or anti gay and anti transgender views.

The center said the number of those groups had risen to 264 in 2018 from 233 in 2017, but it noted that the influence of black nationalism in mainstream politics was highly limited.

It did, however, point specifically to comments by the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who the center said echoed white supremacist myths of a looming white genocide in his rhetoric about President Trump, whom he has accused of planning genocide against African Americans.

Mr. Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam have been connected to a organization, two of whose national leaders have been accused of sympathizing with Mr. Farrakhan and privately expressing anti Semitic opinions.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which is based in Montgomery, Ala., has tracked domestic extremism since 1971, but in recent years conservatives have accused it of politicizing its findings and falsely labeling right leaning organizations as hate groups.

The group paid dollar 3.4 million to Maajid Nawaz, a British campaigner against Islamic extremism who sometimes works with conservative anti Muslim politicians, after it included him on a list of anti Muslim extremists in 2016. Richard Cohen, the centers president, said in a that the inclusion of Mr. Nawaz on the list had been wrong.

Hey guys, welcome back to Simple Happy Zen, its Vera and for this video today

I thought I would do something different and show you what I eat in a day. Since I always enjoy watching these videos for

inspiration. I thought it'd be fun to make one myself. I eat very differently every day

So for this video, I recorded everything that I ate yesterday and that's probably very different from what I'm having today or tomorrow

I didn't leave anything out. My diet is very easy and simple and down-to-earth

I don't really like those complicated meals that take hours of planning

So let me know what you think in the comments give the video a like if you enjoyed it

I really appreciate it and let's begin

So I started my day with a bowl of oatmeal and I make it differently every time depending on what's in my kitchen and

Also a glass of water which is what I try to start every day with but I still forget about half the days

During the morning, I had a few more glasses of water and some tea, this was green tea. And then at 11:00 a.m

I had a snack, and it's called Onbijtkoek. It is a typical Dutch thing

It literally translates to breakfast cake, but it's not cake and we don't have it for breakfast either

It's kind of like gingerbread. It's really spicy. It has cinnamon and nutmeg those kinds of spices and it's super delicious

I don't have this too often because it does have some sugar but every once in a while

I really like it and I have it with vegan margarine

Then at 1:30, I had my lunch and I made a super delicious

Spicy hummus sandwich. We Dutch people really love our bread and that's what I had today as well

For dinner, I had this eggplant and chickpea curry and this is actually a recipe from Madeleine Olivia

If you don't know who she is, then I highly recommend checking out her channel

She has amazing vegan recipes and this one is just great as well

After dinner I had this fennel tea and decaf coffee

Later that night. I had a snack of two tangerines and some nuts with raisins and the nuts were unprocessed and unsalted

During the evening. I also had more chamomile tea and more water.

Over the course of the day I also took my supplements

I wouldn't recommend these for everyone but I noticed that I feel best when I take these supplements to complement my diet

FOX TV - How to invest in an Isa easily: A simple guide to getting started - Duration: 13:10.

'I want to invest in an Isa, can you give me any tips on getting started?'This is a question that regularly crops up and we usually refer people to This is Money's investment guides, best DIY investing platforms round-up and other useful articles

Yet, what's often clear is that sometimes people don't want to do all that research

Rightly or wrongly, they simply want a quick, straightforward route map to investing in an Isa

To that end, I decided to write this distilled article.Caveat first. I obviously cannot give financial advice, I'm not qualified to, and nothing here is a personal recommendation

These are my thoughts on how to easily start investing in an Isa. You don't need to be a City whizzkid to start investing, it's possible to do it simply and quicklyHow do you want to invest? To decide what to do, you need to ask yourself what that pot is for and how you want to invest? Is it money that you can afford to take a long-term view on and not suddenly need in full in the next three to five years? If the answer to that is 'yes, I can take a long-term view' then you could take the risk of investing

Otherwise, you may want to stick to cash because investments can go down as well as up

The other thing to consider here is regular investing. It's often a mistake to think in terms of lump sums, most of us save money on a monthly basis

If you are saving money each month over and above a rainy day fund of two to three months' salary then you could start regularly investing some of this

RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 2 Next Six simple steps for wiser investing - and a better chance

How to start investing in an Isa and make your money work. I have £250k sitting in my bank account - what should I do

The easy route to passive investing and some simple funds to. Virgin's tracker fund that charges 17 times more than its

Share this article Share 15 shares How involved do you want to be?The next question is how involved do you want to be in managing that Isa?If the answer is that you don't want the hassle and would rather get someone else to do it, you could try one of the new online wealth management firms

You answer a few questions on your goals and attitudes to risk – and they create and manage a portfolio of investments for you

On the other hand, if you are interested enough to get involved, then you could pick a full fat DIY investing platform that lets you choose your investments

The degree of getting involved here ranges from using tools that pick investments for you, to choosing a selection of funds yourself

These could be funds where a manager tries to beat the market, or cheap and easy tracker funds that simply follow it

Two of the three DIY investing platform options I picked out help you along the way with best fund lists, while the other has a low-cost index investing portfolio building tool

Don't just think in lump sums The annual Isa allowance is a use it or lose it affair

The last tax year's £15,240 allowance ran out on 5 April 2017; and a fresh one for this tax year kicked in the following day that is higher at £20,000

Our temptation to leave things to the last minute means an awful lot of Isa money gets invested as lump sums at the end of the tax year

A wiser plan is to invest at the start of the tax year, or spread your investments out through the year with some regular saving

Even if you do have a lump sum to invest (or end of tax year deadline to beat) it is worth noting that if you open an Isa account with many platforms, then you can pay money in now as cash  – and choose where to invest it later at your leisure

This can allow you to spread out investing lump sums and lower your risk. Drip feeding in a big sum over a number of months can provide some security against a sudden big market fall

Investing offers the chance of greater rewards than cash but involves more risk - and you can guarantee that your investments will not only go up, they will also fall one day Where could you invest? This is the crunch point in this guide

To follow through on the promise of a quick, straightforward route map to investing in an Isa, I need to deliver some choices of where to do it

Another caveat here: This is just a small selection of the wide range of options for investors – there are lots of other good ones out there

Many of those will be better for certain elements of investing, or cheaper overall

But the aim of this guide isn't to explain all those options – it is to narrow them down

I highly recommend that you read our Best (and cheapest) DIY investing platforms round-up to get the full picture, or use our platform comparison tool

But from all those options, I picked a few that are good for those that need some help investing their Isa

DIY investing platformsHow you want to invest will influence who you choose to do it with – and there's a lot of choice

These three platforms all involve some element of getting involved, although it doesn't have to be too much

I've road tested them all and they deliver plenty of help in getting started. Thanks to them being simple to use, with competitive charges and a good range of things to invest in, my suggestions are Hargreaves Lansdown, Interactive Investor and AJ Bell YouInvest and Vanguard

All offer best funds lists and/or ready-made portfolios.Hargreaves Lansdown scores highly on being intuitive and easy to use

Finding and investing in funds is simple, as is setting up regular investments and checking up on what you have done

Its app is also very good. It's not cheap, with a 0.45% annual fee but on smaller investment pots percentage charges should not be too high

Fund dealing is free.AJ Bell is a more pared back experience but still simple to use

It has simple passive portfolios, a good best fund-finding tool and a cheaper 0.25% annual fee

Fund dealing costs £1.50. Interactive Investor has a different charging model and costs £22

50 a quarter or £90 a year. That fee is given back in free trading credits, which you can use to pay to buy funds, shares, trusts and ETFs

The standard charge to buy or sell all those is £10, or £1 if you set up regular monthly investing

Interactive Investor is simple to use, and has good model portfolios.A final more restrictive but simple and cheap option is Vanguard

The US giant has set up a UK investing platform but you can only buy its funds. It is cheap with a 0

15% per year fee and has no costs for buying and selling. You can use this to buy Vanguard's simple and cheap passive funds, or its all in one LifeStrategy funds that invest in shares and bonds around the world

> Read This is Money's Top 50 funds and investment trusts Get someone to do it for you: Online wealth managers A whole host of these services have cropped up in recent years

Given the chance, they'll all tell you that they are the best at looking after your money and helping it to grow while protecting you against stormy times

The true test of this will come with time and it is too early to properly evaluate their performance through both the good times and the bad

Their approach to investing varies, from using a traditional investment team deciding where to invest, to clever algorithms that claim to spot the best opportunities for the lowest risks

All aim to offer user-friendly sites, with risk-profiling tools that combine with your goals to deliver a portfolio, which is then managed for you

Costs tend to be about the 1 per cent a year mark – cheap but not as cheap as a simple tracker fund or ETF through a DIY investing platform

But for that 1 per cent fee, you get someone else to do the work for you and build a properly balanced portfolio

The most established online wealth manager is Nutmeg, while rivals include Moneyfarm, Wealthify and Scalable Capital

Another interesting option is Moneybox, which is app based and offers three simple portfolios with a neat trick available to round up your everyday spending and then choose to invest that sum

If you are considering using one of these, then you can road test their tools without putting any money into an account – you may have to do a simple initial sign-up with an email, however

How the simple 40 push-up test could save your life - if you're a man - News Live - Duration: 2:02.

Whether you only have to think of a push-up to break out in a sweat or whether you're a pro, they could be more important than you think

As well as being generally good for your health and fitness , a simple (ish) push-up test could potentially save your life

Because the number indicates a lot about the state of your health if you're a man

So how many push-ups do you think you could do in a row? Ten? Twenty? One hundred maybe (in which case, well done you)?  What you should be aiming for is 40 push-ups in a row

Not ten then a short break while your life flashes before your very eyes, but 40 consecutive push-ups

According to new research, men who can do more than 40 push-ups in a row have a 96 per cent lower risk of heart disease than those who struggle to do 10

The Harvard study says that demonstrating to your doctor how many push-ups you're capable of could even be a more accurate indication of heart disease and strokes than the treadmill tests traditionally used

"Surprisingly, push-up capacity was more strongly associated with cardiovascular disease risk than the results of submaximal treadmill tests," lead author Dr Justin Yang, occupational medicine resident at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, explained

To arrive at these findings, 1104 active male firefighters between the ages of 21 and 66 had their health data analysed over a decade

"Participants able to complete more than 40 push-ups were associated with a significantly lower risk of incident CVD event risk compared with those completing fewer than 10 push-ups," the study reveals

This is Everyday Grammar.

I'm Kaveh.

And I'm Lucija.

Hey Kaveh, you're looking a bit tanned.

Did you go to the beach?

I did.

I went to Florida last weekend.

Have you ever gone to Florida?

Sure I have.

I have gone there two years ago.

Wait.

You mean, you went there two years ago.

What's the difference?

Good question.

You're asking about the difference between

the simple past and present perfect verb tenses.

"I went to Florida" is in the simple past.

You use the simple past to talk about a

past event that happened at a certain time.

OK, that makes sense.

But what about "I have gone?"

I have gone to Florida is in the present perfect.

It shows that a past event

happened at an unknown time.

Wait.

If it's about the past, why is it called

the present perfect?

Well, it's to emphasize the present effect of

a past action.

I have graduated from college.

I graduated from college.

Interesting.

That's a lot to think about.

Is there an easier way to remember?

As a matter of fact there is.

Focus on the adverbs.

Adverbs like yesterday, ago, and last

night go with the simple past.

Adverbs like never, already, for and since – they go with

the present perfect.

Wow!

I have never thought of it like that before.

And that's Everyday Grammar.

2 Facebook Ads Made Simple Full Video - Duration: 32:15.

Hi everybody.

My name is Taylor Kelly.

I am the owner and head instructor at functional psych down in Grand Prairie Texas.

I'm also known as the martial arts tutor on YouTube and in this course I must show you guys how I run

my Facebook ads.

Now this has been a lot of trial and error for me.

This has been something that I've been constantly tinkering with as early as 2015 as I make this video

is 2019 Facebook tutorial.

One thing to keep in mind is that my industry is martial arts but the principles that you'll find in

this video are pretty much universal.

Like it's it's very much similar to any other business whether you have a restaurant business maybe

of an online business.

When we sell T-shirts maybe you do real estate.

The principles I'm going to show you are very fundamental and they'll guide you to what to do correctly

to optimize your Facebook.

OK so I'm going to start first off with establishing a funnel because that's just something that every

single system will tell you about is having a funnel and it's not wrong it's it's actually just really

basic.

And I think people get really complicated so I'm going to try to break it down for you guys.

So in a funnel you have three different categories have cold traffic you have warm traffic and then

the optional hot traffic.

Okay.

So cool traffic is basically people that don't know who you are.

Right.

They are they maybe they're scrolling on Facebook and they find you for the first time right.

Perhaps they have an interest in what you're doing.

You know maybe if you have the right targeting but most of the time are people that just have never

met you before it's the first time you know that their eyes are open.

Right.

So that's the first step of the process.

Now the second step is Warren traffic.

So it's the.

I'll get to it later.

Crowd okay.

No I'll get I'll be explained that pretty soon.

But basically warm traffic is anybody who visits your website.

Okay.

So somebody that clicks on your Web site obviously has shown some sort of interest right.

They're not just kind of ignoring you.

They have some kind of interest in what you have to say.

So that's that warm traffic and the last step is the hot traffic.

So this is people who have bought from you in the past.

Right.

So one of the just a really easy principle that you see in a lot of books is you know the best kind

of customers are repeat customers because there's so much easier to sell.

And the cost of acquiring them and costs of getting them to buy more from you is really really really

easy in most businesses.

So that's basically the three steps to the funnel.

We're going to make it really not complicated.

We're not going to go crazy with pixels or anything.

We are going to use pixels so if you haven't have your Facebook pixel installed in the Web site I'm

not going to go over that in this tutorial but you should definitely do that as soon as you possibly

can because that is really like a game changer.

As soon as you install that Facebook pixel your ad costs are going to go way down and you're gonna be

spending really little money to get more more people into your business whether it's for small business

maybe you have an online business or maybe do real estate or all of the above.

OK.

So we're going to talk first about cold traffic.

OK.

Now this one comes down to who your cousin who your audiences.

OK so you got to ask yourself who do you like to serve right.

Who is your who's your avatar.

Right.

So for my example I teach martial arts and the majority of my my students as you can see or at least

the majority of my clients are parents right.

So their moms between the ages of 25 and 45.

So that's my avatar.

OK.

Now your avatar might be different maybe you are selling perhaps Marvel related T-shirts or DC comic

book T-shirts.

Well then you're you're your demographic is probably people who are interested in comic books and the

nice thing about Facebook and as I'll get into it is you can actually target people based on specific

interests.

Now one thing to keep in mind is that when you target a specific interest it does drive your cost up

a little more and you're kind of relying on Facebook to do more of the work which by the way Facebook

is it's a great platform at all but ultimately if you had to pick between using the Facebook demographics

or your pixel on your Web site you'd probably be better off picks it picking the picks on your Web site

because that's actually going to give you relevant traffic in regards to people who actually want to

visit your stuff.

Right.

So just keep that in mind.

Now when you're creating a whole traffic ad you want to do the following.

You want to establish the know like and trust factor.

Customers will care you at this point you know when you're doing a cool traffic ad you're not trying

to sell them anything you're trying to just get them to know like and trust you.

So you know a very powerful thing that I see happen lots people make just live videos just straight

up live videos talking about a certain topic and just kind of just educating people.

Right.

So if you educate entertain people that's going to get more eyeballs on what you're doing.

OK.

And then when you make the ads or when you make these this content you always have to ask yourself the

question as the customer what's in it for me.

So whenever I post anything I always try to step inside the shoes of my whoever my prospect is and say

what's in it for me OK what am I.

What value am I getting from this post.

This is just trying to sell me something is he just trying to get my money like what what is the thing

that is giving me value like my my address.

Is he addressing a pain point something that I'm struggling with.

Right.

So really ask yourself what pain points do your duty customers have or future customers have and really

dig into that you know dig deep get people to read your whole text OK.

Get again and read everything.

And on top of that we're gonna have an evergreen ad.

OK so this may not apply to everybody.

This might apply to some of you guys but for me personally I like to have an evergreen ad which is basically

admitted as an offer.

OK.

So it's an offer to call traffic basically just showing them that I have something on the table.

So for example as a martial arts school My offer is two weeks for 20 dollars.

Right.

Or I know some.

Some places have you know buy one get one free.

If you have a restaurant.

Now the purpose of this evergreen ad isn't to get people to click on it.

It's just to show that it's there because what's going to happen is that we're going to use the same

ad to show people so let's say some people do click on it but they don't buy.

We're going to retarget those people with a discount.

OK.

Because those are more enticed to take your discount up because they've clicked on your ad before.

OK.

So I'm not sure.

Yes just a quick example of how to make a cool traffic ad.

OK.

So you could use the Facebook ads manager as I'll show you guys in here.

However the way I prefer to do it is to actually go on your Facebook page.

OK.

Because when you use the ads manager and you go for an engagement it's not going to appear on your page.

It's going to be it's called a dark post.

So that means it's only going to appear as an ad but not necessarily on your Facebook page.

So the first thing you want to do is come up with good content.

Like I said before always asks yourself the question What's in it for me.

OK.

I know three guys is a quick example.

So this is some one that I made.

It says do your kids sometimes overreact to stressful social situations.

OK.

And this is just addressing a need that some parents have they're like oh yeah my kids are.

They sometimes overreact.

Right.

Distressful problems and I want to fix it.

OK.

So what I do is I just kind of give him a spill.

I talk about you know how we can benefit them and then avert the very end.

I give him a little pitch.

I just say get the same benefits for your child by visiting us at functional type 1 no dot com.

OK.

Very very soft pitch.

OK.

But what I do is I boost this post.

So this post hasn't been boosted yet but I'm going to boost it now.

So to run cool traffic you're going to hit boost post.

OK.

Now at this point you can edit the targeting settings however you want.

OK.

So you can create a new audience.

For example I'm going to is going to create a quick one for example.

OK.

So let's say your target demographic is woman.

Right.

You basically just fill this out.

OK.

Now it's a local business.

Be very careful that you you watch this thing OK.

The locations tab because a lot of people leave this alone and they put United States.

And they wonder why their costs and why they're spending you know thousands on Facebook you've got to

make sure you're in your town and specifically a radius a radius is a really good way to to make sure

you're targeting the right people that are in your area.

OK.

And like I said it depends on your industry.

So if you do real estate maybe you can expand this a little more maybe you can go like you know about

maybe 25 miles OK or 30 miles.

Doesn't matter what you've got to do is you just got to make sure that you're targeting people in your

area.

OK.

And then the nice thing about this is that they say you have a certain you know quality of person that

you want to have.

Right.

So let's say because it gives you suggestions to a bit by the way based on what you do.

So let's say you are selling T-shirts.

Like I said before and you want to get people interested in Marvel.

Right.

Marvel Comics.

Boom you have that as interest.

Let's say you want to attract people who are perhaps also like the movie Iron Man.

Ok maybe you're selling a T-shirt that is talking about Ironman.

Maybe the movie specifically super Ironman film.

Now what's going to happen is that it's going to give you people who like these things OK.

And when you do that it's going to give you a very you know targeted audience.

That's where it's relevant.

OK.

Now in my case in the martial arts industry I don't target people who like martial arts simply because

most people don't.

Haven't really heard of it.

You know the people that come into my school I've never done it before so I don't I leave this whole

blank.

OK.

And you can leave your stuff blank too because at the end of the day we're gonna use a Facebook pixel

anyway so you can leave it pretty blank.

Obviously I'm not going to have 13 URLs.

You know be clicking I think the most important thing honestly is just the age thing like you fixed

the age.

I don't have people who are over 65 in my school or someone to drop it down to 50 because I have people

who are 50 and that's about it.

Right.

And then you hit boost and then you're done.

OK.

Now after that.

OK you're going to say just let Facebook do automatic placements because they know what they're doing.

And that's far as the budget I really recommend you do ten dollars over seven days.

OK.

Now my strategy for this is let's say three days go by and nothing happens.

If that's the case.

Kill the ad it probably stinks OK.

It probably isn't that good.

And let's be honest with that it's probably not that good.

Maybe you're targeting isn't is too narrow.

If you leave things broad it first it's really going to give you a good understanding of who your target

demographic is.

And Facebook is pretty smart.

You know when you when you start accumulating likes and shares and followers and comments things like

that it's going to find people like that.

OK.

And as a matter of fact you can even do this in ads manager and I'll show you guys how to do that too

is you can create a custom audience where people are like people who like your page.

So let's say you have a lot of people who engage with it and then you can get create a list of people

who are like the people that engage with it.

So you can do that too.

OK.

But what I recommend is ten dollars over seven days and that will increase your engagement.

OK.

And this is a very important step people like Miss this step because they feel like I want to sell this

stuff right away.

I just want to get it out there.

It takes time.

It's a marathon not a sprint.

And the more you do this the more chances you have an actually getting people to convert depending on

what your businesses.

OK.

So that is how you do cold traffic.

Now how do we do a warm traffic.

OK.

The evergreen ad I'll show you guys how to do that real quick really easy.

So you go to traffic.

OK.

This is basically maybe you want someone to opt in.

Right.

So you want someone to opt into your page you know maybe you have a report.

Maybe you do.

You have like a baking Web site and you want people to download your free recipes.

Right.

So you're going to click traffic OK.

I would not do lead generation.

OK.

And here's why.

A lot of people will say that you should do it.

I personally don't agree with it because what Facebook does is that they target people who specifically

are more inclined to give them your contact info.

In my personal experience the lead generation is really really expensive and it gets people that aren't

really going to actually like there's just people that click stuff and just fill in their information

like by accident I've had so many terrible leads from this.

Now I could be biased could just be my area but I don't really recommend it.

I recommend you either do clicks OK traffic or engagement.

You know those those are the two ways.

But right now we're going.

How about getting an evergreen ad out there.

OK.

So just a general thing that if people to opt in.

OK.

So I mean continue.

And then you just basically follow this that Facebook is pretty nice.

OK.

They're pretty easy with what you're doing.

And like I said this is the very open audience.

This is the the audience that you don't know too much yet you're just trying to get a good feel.

OK.

Now you can put as much detail targeting as you want but I would keep it as vague as you possibly can.

OK.

I would wouldn't get really really detailed because it's going to narrow your your search.

And plus it's going to drive your costs really high.

OK.

So you want to just keep this very very very blank OK.

And now the only ones that I would change would be the age because you know if you have somebody who's

potentially buying from you depending on what it is you know I would go with ages 25 and up.

If you're looking at somebody that wants to buy a house you know I don't know the industry well enough

you probably know more than me but just kind of figure out the age bracket of that.

And I would leave this stuff alone.

I wouldn't do too much of it.

Maybe one thing and that's about it.

OK.

And then for locations you know if you're a local business you want to make sure you put in your location.

Now biggest one that people miss out on.

You want to do people who live in this location OK.

Because if you do people everyone in this location that could be people who are traveling maybe you're

in a very heavily touristy city OK and you're trying to look for long term clients if you do everyone

in this location will be anybody who just is traveling there.

Right.

Because even though Facebook says like people traveling this location I have found that some people

when I do everyone in the location I found people who just straight up are leaving you know a week later

because they just they were just visiting.

Right.

And Facebook doesn't always know the difference.

So you always want to make sure people who live in this location and you know whether it's United States

or your city or town unless you want to do.

OK.

And then languages don't forget that it's pretty important.

OK.

And then I would leave a connection type alone.

OK.

Because if you unless you have tons of likes and followers that's good to know.

But we're trying to get new people.

We're trying to get brand new coal traffic and then for automatic places placements just do recommended

Facebook is they know what they're doing.

OK.

And then for the daily budget I wouldn't do lifetime budget.

OK.

And the reason being is because I have found that whenever I've done daily budget I've gotten better

results in my lifetime budget.

And that's because Facebook will they'll try to evenly spread your lifetime budget.

And when you do that let's say for example six days go by and your budget was 50 dollars.

OK.

And let's say you just get nothing but you get no clicks.

You get nothing nothing's nothing's happening.

Right.

And on Day 7 one person clicks.

You just spent fifty dollars of one click.

Right.

So I wouldn't do that.

I would stick with daily budget have a five dollars.

Just keep her eye on it.

Let just let let it run.

OK because the chances of you getting you know a better return is higher when you do it like that.

OK.

When you have the end in mind.

Facebook likes to you know they they will charge you a lot if you if nothing happens in six days and

the seventh day happens.

Finally something happens.

OK.

So it's easier to track that way.

OK.

Now for a landing page views you definitely want to keep it like that because then I think my landing

page views is that it's going to actually get people who load up the Web site you know.

So if somebody clicks on it and they don't actually let it load there's not going to count.

So that's a good one to do impression.

Yes.

That's what you want.

This strategy lowest cost.

Yes I mean they continue.

I'm not going to finish this ad because I'm not going to actually post this but

all right.

So here you go.

So you can use Instagram account if you have instagram.

I highly recommend you do it.

Now at this point you can just do whatever you feel is necessary right.

So right now I'll say right now video is very powerful if you can have a video of something that be

good.

And you know you can you can do that.

Now when it comes to creating the text and the ad copy and all that stuff and putting in your web site

and your headlines you know on your desk and your URL you are all you want to make sure that you split

test.

OK so for example after you hit confirm OK it's going to ask you saying hey would you like to make another

ad with this.

You want to hit.

Yes go through the same process and I'll have it.

I'll have a copy and paste it pretty much and then just change one little thing about the ad OK like

maybe change the picture.

OK.

And then ad then I'll ask you to do another one.

You hit it again and then maybe you change another picture.

So what this is called a split testing basically what's going to happen is that you're going to look

at your ads and you're going to see OK.

Which ones performing better.

And usually I'd give it about three days.

So about three days time figure out OK.

Which was getting the most clicks because that's all that matters right now.

We're not trying to get people to opt in.

We're not trying to get people to fill up their contact info.

We're just trying to get them to click on that Web site.

That's the end goal of the coal traffic.

OK.

And as soon as you do that you'll figure out what works and what doesn't.

And then now we have the next step.

OK.

So the next step is actually using our Facebook pixel so to install your Facebook pixel.

You go to pixels OK.

And then you have this page basically you just you can follow that.

But this is this tutorial isn't about how to install your pixels.

OK.

So get that installed.

Now once you have that installed we're going to go to audiences like an audience this is where we're

going to actually you create a pixel I guess I guess create a an action for our pixel.

OK.

So I'm going to create a custom audience OK.

Now let's say for example you don't have a Facebook pixel installed.

OK.

Let's say you just you can't do it.

You can't figure it out even though it's pretty easy.

If you if you just can't figure it out maybe you're your Web site doesn't let you do that.

Maybe don't even have a Web site.

OK.

Because I know some people don't have a Web site.

They can't afford it.

That's fine.

The other option other option is engagement so you can click on this.

And what's going to happen it's going to get people who have engaged with what you're doing.

So maybe they watched a video so perhaps maybe they watched 10 seconds under your video.

Perhaps it was 20 seconds Ed video.

Maybe they've interacted with their Facebook pages the one that I've used a lot and it's worked pretty

well for me.

So you can do that.

You see you can click this and then you can go with you know everyone who's engaged with your page in

the past however long days.

You know I usually recommend about you know 30 days because that way they're more a captive audience

so you can do that and you can create the audience that way.

OK.

But to really use the power of Facebook like a pixel is gonna be the best.

Because that's just going to give you very high quality traffic.

OK.

So the driver costs way down.

OK.

So I'm going to go to my other profile so that way I can actually make this pixel

All right so we're going to create an audience a custom audience.

So do we go to Web site traffic.

Now I have a Facebook pixel installed.

This should show up.

OK.

So now let's say for example you want someone who visits a specific page writes Maybe you have a page

where you're selling.

Let me give a quick example

Oh yeah.

So let's say OK let's say the ad that you just ran right the coal traffic ad with Evergreen ad where

people are just looking to opt in.

OK maybe it's just on your home page so you can just go to all web site visitors.

Right.

Or maybe just people who haven't opted in.

Right.

So you can even do this too.

You can go maybe you type in the opt in page you know so that you'd copy and paste the URL and then

you go exclude.

So let's say you want only people who have visited the page but have not opted in.

So then you can put another page of people who have opted in.

So for example let's say you have a Web site where the person you are L. is something like I'll just

make one up for example w w w dot

making duck baking report baking dot com slash report.

OK.

So let's say you have that and let's say you want to exclude people who have actually downloaded your

free report.

OK.

So now that we didn't exclude button.

OK.

So I'll go to w everyday without baking.

Dot com slash report slash confirmed.

OK so let's say that's your.

That's the that's the website address of one people where they get redirected once they opt in.

Now you've only gotten people who have actually seen the report but haven't actually put in their name

and email address and you're excluding people who have done that because I'd be redundant.

Right.

Especially if you're giving like a special discount our special offer that might piss some people off

if you decide to give a discount away and then people have already bought something like Hey how come

I didn't get this discount.

That's how you avoid those things.

OK.

So that's a way to do it.

Another way to do this as well OK.

It's like I said before if you don't have a website.

Use the engagement works just as fine.

I like to use fake people who have engaged my Facebook page sometimes I have a certain video.

Right.

So there's a there's a video that you know these watch.

Ten seconds my video and you can choose the videos you have.

Right.

So you can choose a certain topic because honestly you know if somebody watches you know a lot of your

video there's a good chance they're probably interested right.

So you know if you're in real estate and you're trying to find someone who is looking at getting a home

you know people will sit and watch and if they watch the whole time you know you can segment your audience.

There's a good chance they're interested.

They just didn't do it yet.

OK.

Because like I said before this is the crowd of people who tell themselves I'll do it later it's the

I'll do it later crowd so sometimes they'll click on every green ad the other click on your opt in or

whatever.

And then they're like Well I'll fill this out later right.

Well basically the purpose of these warm traffic ads is to remind them that hey you forgot to fill this

out.

Let's do this.

OK.

And another thing you can do too.

Right.

So let's say let's talk about just creating the actual ad now.

So let's say I'm going to go to this one that I personally have.

I'll show you as just a really easy example.

So by the way the way to make an ad using the Facebook pixel.

So just for example I have a retargeting ad for people who are interested in my 46 year old program.

OK.

So I'll go to actions I'll.

Yes and see the settings I have OK.

So I have people who visited these specific pages.

Again these happen to be in my evergreen ads.

OK.

They they visit these pages but they did not opt in.

OK.

So no problem.

So what I did is I picked one of my most engaging posts.

So like I said before is to go full circle when we make a called traffic will it make good content.

OK.

It's good to reuse that as a way to remind customers of social proof.

Right.

So I'll show you guys just a really quick example of what I did.

So you guys can see that

so I text this is my retargeting ad I just started running it.

So it doesn't have a whole lot.

However look how low it's like I've only spent a dollar and in it and it's I just started and it's already

had 60 impressions.

Right.

So 62 who have visited my Web site.

It's pretty it's.

That's not bad.

Right.

So I'm going to go here.

I'm going to click edit so you can get what I did so what I did is I took an I took a basically something

I was engaging really really well and turned it into a retargeting ad OK that addresses the target audience

I'm talking to.

So just another good way to establish social proof especially if you're new and not have many people

know you yet.

So this is just a just a testimonial that I have here that runs it has.

And we see in this go down has 60 has 70 likes and four shares.

OK.

So it's not bad.

So what I do is I run this as just a just a testimonial.

OK I run this as an ad targeting people who have visited the certain page specifically my age is 46

year old page and notice I mentioned four year olds four year old in the title to get them to read this

testimonial.

And at the bottom I have a call to action selling them to get our dinner our trial.

OK.

So that's just one way you can do it.

Now to show you guys how to take an ad so say for example you have a post that you know would work really

really well as something that would get people to you know like and trust you.

Let's say you had a you had a killer concept ad that gave you a lot of traffic when you hit create.

OK.

So I'm just going to start over so can show you as Gagan traffic.

And like I said before you're targeting people who are

you know who.

So yeah.

Away always you'll find your custom audience and here someone is look my look might one of mine.

Let's say I'm going to pick a random one game my fitness kickboxing retargeting and then you don't do

anything else by the way you just leave it alone.

However I would still put your location because sometimes you will slip through the cracks.

Maybe they just come from a random website and clicking on stuff.

But as soon as you do that you figure everything else out.

And like I said five bucks a day is pretty good.

You'll you'll never actually spend that much if your audience is really small.

Scroll down.

It's been slow.

OK.

You can go to slide up a little bit.

You can see right here says use existing post OK so you can select a post.

Right.

So you can select the post that you know has done really well before maybe it already has social proof.

Which means it has likes comments and shares and when people look at that they're gonna be like oh OK

this guy.

He obviously knows what he's talking about because he's you know people people engage with it like this

one you know this is 20 lives.

I probably do this.

OK.

Just a really simple way to remind people that you're still exist.

OK.

Now the last step we're going to talk about is the hot traffic.

OK.

They say it's people who bought from you get really easy when you go to your audiences.

We'll leave this page

came and you create your audience.

You can create an audience a custom audience of people who have bought from you.

So go web website traffic.

Maybe there are people who have visited a special.

So let's say they bought WWE Dot.

Doing something random carrots dot com slash buyer.

So let's say they bought from you.

They went to your checkout page.

Boom you just made 20 bucks or something.

The carrot.

OK.

You exclude people.

OK.

Exclude people who haven't bought because you know you're giving them a special deal.

Right.

So people maybe who you know that carrots dot com slash opt in.

You know maybe they opt.

Maybe they opted in.

Or maybe they didn't.

In right and they just that they don't buy from you.

Right.

So you do that.

You just exclude basically find the pages were just the general Web site but only target people who

have met the specific page.

Right.

So you're excluding people who have visited you know just just haven't you just visited a Web site but

they actually haven't bought from you.

Gabe that makes sense.

Once you do that you target those people you create an ad were you up sell them.

Right.

And then that point your cost is going to be really really really low.

OK.

So hopefully guys enjoyed this course hopefully this made sense.

This is just like a general overview of how you can run Facebook ads and just review just to kind of

bring everything back together.

Your highest budget will be your whole traffic.

OK.

So that means your content.

You know they always say content is king.

It's true because that's actually what's going to separate you from a lot of people.

If you just put offers in all the time and you never actually get people to know I can trust you.

You can have a hard time at Facebook because Facebook rewards you with cheap traffic by you know especially

ones that get a lot of engagement.

They'll give you a cheaper traffic OK.

You'll spend very little if you have good engagement and good content people are going to share.

People are going to college you know going to like it really easy stuff.

OK.

So that's the first thing you do.

As soon as you do that you retarget people who have visited your Web site through your engagement ads

and you're evergreen ads.

It's a warm traffic.

It's the I'll do it later crowd just basically reminding him you still exist.

Right.

Basically reminding them that you have social proof to show them high engaging content and just kind

of talk just kind of be a personable person for the warm traffic out.

And then lastly if they do buy from you now's the chance to sell them.

Right.

So if you sell like maybe perhaps you sell a course online maybe you sell some course on you to meet.

Right.

You sell of course I need to me where you're getting people to buy a course.

Maybe you can give me a discount code when they you know if they've only bought from use it to buy from

you a second time you know especially if they already like your stuff.

OK.

So that is the Facebook as training one to one for 2019.

Hope you guys like it.

You guys did like this course please give me an honest review on you to me down below.
