Judge Jeanine Pirro: Washington Is A SWAMP Republicans Are Cheering

you know Washington is a swamp in more ways than one

the Predators aren't just political they're sleazy sexual perverts who claim

the moral high ground based not on truth and justice but on rank politics and the

craziest part is whenever there is a finding against one of these perverts

you pay the damages and this must end I have a few solutions number one if an

employee of a congressman or senator makes a sexual claim and wins which

requires you the taxpayers pay the settlement we must get the money back

since when have taxpayers been responsible for the sexual perversions

of people we send to Congress to represent us so how do we get the money

back we take it out of their pay we sue them or we take it out of their pension

no hard-working taxpaying American should ever have to pay for the sexual

immorality of these deviants number two if an elected official seeks to hide a

settlement for sexual harassment by putting it in his operating budget and

thus secretly paying the victim not only should reimbursement be made to us but a

criminal investigation should be opened covering up payment to a complainant by

saying the woman is working when she is not is a no-show job conspiracy and a

fraud for which state legislators have gone to

jail number three no more confidentiality complainants are forced

to work in this same office where they allege the harassment of the hostile

work environment occurred and they're forced into counseling for 30 days and

then mediation for another 30 days as if they're at fault for being a

- while the lawmakers well they're not required to go to anything every one of

these cases needs to see the light of day and if we as a society demand that

complaints against priests be exposed and filed through our criminal justice

system these representatives should at the very least be held to the same

standard and number four where there's been a finding of a hostile work

environment or sexual harassment against an elected official he or she must

resign not even telling you in the DC swamp doesn't matter to what party you

belong these establishment politicians have had

dirt on each other for years and so they are held hostage to each other

they cannot risk taking a stand for us that's why they'll say one thing to us

and in the quiet of the night pass a budget that is totally inconsistent with

what they promised us the old boy network at work one hand washes the

other you don't tell on me and I won't tell on

you think of it 264 payouts 17 point 2 million dollars the fund is virtually

unlimited and that doesn't include no-show payments by congressmen who

don't want any record who cover up their wrongdoing in their own operating budget

it all started in 1995 the Congressional Accountability Act of the hundred and

fourth Congress what I want to know is who decided that sexual wrongdoing by

these fools is not their responsibility but instead the taxpayers who decided we

would pay for their sexual perversions who decides or sits in judgment on these

claims why is this stuff confidential why don't we know who these findings are

against and shame shame on the women in Congress who sat

quietly for the last 20 years knowing that there was a fund used to cover up

sexual perversions which makes the next federal female employee walking into

that office vulnerable and while these hypocrites trumpet the buckets of money

that they put out to fight violence against women they commit the very acts

themselves and they laugh at us at the same time and as part of their charade

they voluntarily seek as in the case of Senator Al Franken and ethics or a House

committee to review their actions well that's a bunch of hogwash the fix is in

folks the last time a senator was ticked out of the Senate was during the Civil

War they think we're stupid and maybe we are

and isn't it interesting that Al Franken demands that Rory Moore accused of acts

forty years ago and by the way I've been real clear on how I feel about more

Franken says that one more has to go while Big Al Franklin has not even

denied the sexual harassment allegations against him that occurred while he was a

sitting United States Senator where are our leaders Paul Ryan Mitch McConnell

Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer for all your talk and moral piety each of you must

immediately demand the release and unmasking of those against whom sexual

harassment findings have been made otherwise you get out - enough of this

mess and these guys have the gall to trash the president when they're the

ones with actual findings against them both senator Franken and congressman

Conyers and payouts two victims who had to go through hell to even file a

complaint this isn't about politics anymore and I don't care if you're a

Republican a Democrat and independent a conservative or a Martian if we don't

follow a moral code in the halls of Congress we are doomed as a nation no

one is above the law and certainly not these bozos it is time we the people

demand the justice and the accountability that these fools have

been preaching to us for years and that's my open

SHOCK REPORT: Washington Post Has FAMILY TIES To MOORE ACCUSERS, This Is OUTRAGEOUS! - Duration: 4:16.

SHOCK REPORT: Washington Post Has FAMILY TIES To MOORE ACCUSERS, This Is OUTRAGEOUS!

The Alabama Senate race is gearing up to be one of the most bizarre ever, with decades-old

accusations potentially derailing Judge Roy Moores chance at winning the seat, but

a new report blows serious holes in the accusations being leveled against him.

Moore has repeatedly professed his innocence ever since the allegations first surfaced

against him, and in light of recent revelations about his accusers, its easy to see why.

For one, the woman being represented by Gloria Allred, Beverly Young, has been discredited

and accused of forging the signature in a yearbook she presented as evidence.

The fact that Allred refuses to release the book for an independent handwriting analysis

speaks volumes to its authenticity.

Additionally, we previously reported that Allred refused to specifically state whether

or not Young witnessed Moore sign the yearbook herself, which appeared to be a hedge against

a possible defamation lawsuit that Moore promised to file.

Making matters worse for those accusing Moore is that another woman, Tina Johnson, has some

credibility issues of her own, as Sassy Liberty of AFF Media reported.

In the custody documents, Johnson is accused of taking her son against his will.

An affidavit dated September 11, 1991, and signed by Daniel says that two days earlier,

Johnson took him from elementary school against my will and made me go to her home. Another

affidavit of the same events signed by Cofield states Johnson took Daniel from school forcefully

and without my permission. This event prompted Moore to seek immediate temporary custody

of Daniel on Cofields behalf until she was granted permanent full custody at the

hearing on September 23.

Daniel is quoted as stating he wished to live with my grandmother with whom I have lived

as long as I can remember. Yikes.

Now, theres this; a report from One America News tying the Washington Post, which originally

broke the story against Moore, directly to one of the defendants Moore had in his courtroom.

In fact, Moore convicted the brother of one of the Posts longtime editors of contempt

during a child support case, which came after the man was convicted of being a drug dealer.

The Gateway Pundit has more: OAN reports Moore made another enemy after

ruling against convicted drug dealer Richard Hagedorn, who was brought before Judge Moore

over contempt charges stemming from back payments for alimony and child support.

Moore ruled against Hagedorn in 1994 and is still making alimony and child support payments.

The report then takes another turn.

Richard Hagedorn is the brother of David Hagedorn, a longtime editor, of the Washington

Post.

Judge Roy Moore is under siege after the Washington Post published sexual advancement allegations

against the Alabama GOP Senate candidate.

On November 9th, the Washington Post accused Judge Moore of dating a 14 year-old girl in

1979.

Wow.

As if that wasnt bad enough, the female police officer who stated she would follow

Moore around the mall to ensure he didnt prey on women also appears to have had a reason

to hold a grudge against him.

Retired Alabama Police Officer Faye Grays brother, Jimmy, was arrested for distributing

controlled substances in 1981, and guess who the prosecutor was?

Roy Moore.

OAN says its own research revealed no truth behind the claims against Moore at the mall.

So there you have it.

One by one, these stories have popped up against Moore, and one by one, they appear to be discredited

in one way or another.

Granted, the links above dont prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that something shady occurred;

however, they do cause one to question the motive of the Washington Post to even publish

the story to begin with, given the timing of it an all.

BREAKING: Washington Governor Defied Trump's Orders! See Him Turn His Back On His Country! - Duration: 1:43.

BREAKING: Washington Governor Defied Trump's Orders!

See Him Turn His Back On His Country!

Washington has now become the first sanctuary state after Governor Jay Inslee signed an

Executive Order stopping Trump's travel ban from being enforced.

His order prevents state agencies from discriminating or refusing services to people that live in

the United States illegally.

Yes, you read that correctly.

He also blocked the Washington State Patrol and Department of Corrections for detaining

someone based on them being in the country illegally.

Basically, he just allowed illegal immigration in Washington and now they can't deport

them if they enter our country illegally and get to Washington.

When on earth did we stop enforcing the border laws of this country?

Via The Hill:

"This executive order makes clear that Washington will not be a willing participant in promoting

or carrying out mean-spirited policies that break up families and compromise our national

security and, importantly, our community safety," Inslee said at a press conference Thursday.

Governor Inslee just turned his back on his country because now Washington is free game

for anyone trying to enter our country illegally now!

This order cannot be allowed to stand!

It impacts the entire country, not just Washington!

What do you think about this?

Once Around the Block with Kéthévane Gorjestani in Dupont Circle, Washington D.C. - Duration: 7:32.

Hey everybody, it's Edmond van der Bijl with another episode of Once Around the Block

I'm here with the one the only... -Kéthévane Gorjestani. -Hi Ket. -Hello -..I

went straight to Ket... -Yes... -Is that alright? -That is good...-I have so many nicknames...it's fine... -What, how many nicknames? -I don't

know "Ket. Kéthé, Kétou" depending on the language ... -And what are you good with all

of them? -Yeah! -Sometimes people ask me if I'm okay but I'm like I just

I'll give you my name in the beginning... -And you choose, yeah... -You do your thing...-Exactly. -Alright so who is Kéthévane?

-I don't like describing myself with my work but it is pretty pretty big deal so

I'm a journalist...and yeah I give you the news. -You give me the news. -I try...

-And are you in front of the camera behind the camera, on paper? -I am now in front of the camera

I do the sports news on France 24. -ok, I'm going to back to that but you were before we were

just talking about it before we got started before you're doing sports you

were doing... - International affairs... covering everything from protests,

wars, politics all of that and that was intense...

interesting but intense... -Yeah, emotionally draining? -Yes especially...well in France

of course there were the attacks in 2015 and I was there for both of the January and the

November and after that I kind of decided that it was a was as a

journalist great to be there for that but at the same time it gets very very

hard after a while...and then I moved to sports to like kind of get into

less intense mode...-So Paris, I mean like we all know Paris...you live there...-Yes. So

okay there's like a double question one is like how is Paris doing? And

I guess I'm kind of tagging on the last question being like how did it react to

those attacks and stuff is it is it healing is it still... -I think I can say

that it's healed...there were

especially after the November ones it was very weird for like two months

...and then I guess after the new year people were kind of like okay well it's

happened but we can't let this define who we are and you kind of saw people

going back to cafes like living their lives even though it was still on our

minds and I remember we we were out drinking with some friends and we all

got the alerts that one of the guys had been arrested yeah we finally found him

and everyone posted on social media like this one's for you you asshole and we're

all out ...it was you know you just learn to live with it yeah unfortunately

-It's crazy right the world the world we live in I guess...So let's like try

and lighten the mood little bit...like I

know New York I'm more than off in there

I haven't been in Paris in a very long time...how's it going? -Paris is sometimes

you you know when you compare it to other big cities like London and New

York you're a little bit like Paris is a little bit sleepy! -Really?!?! -A little bit, yeah you kind of sometimes you'd like it to be a

little bit more active and more exciting but at the same time it's good old Paris

it's always great... -Is it as romantic and... -Yeah it is it still is even if it's a little cliché to say it...it's Paris

-Yeah...I'm gonna jump back to being in front of the camera...do you enjoy that? - I

do actually I didn't think I would because I started out

wanting to be behind the camera I'm like filming and reporting but I guess in TV

at some point you're always gonna...often gonna end up in front of the camera

...and I like both I love being in front of the camera

I love being behind the camera and it's it's kind of cool to think that even

though you can't see anyone and you feel you're in the comfort of your little

studio you're talking to millions of people out there and for us especially

its millions of people around the world... -So what's us? -France 24 so we're like

international news channel...based in France and we air in now four languages

okay there's French English Arabic Spanish

...and so you get to kind of adapt your news to everyone you can't you're

not talking just to Americans right I'm talking just the French you're talking

to a wide range of people so I feel like we have a certain way of telling the

news that keeps that in mind that we're not all the same and not everyone

understands things the same way -It sounds pretty logical in this day

and age right boundaries are I mean as much as they're going up they're also

coming down...-Exactly. -And yeah crazy...so I was about to say it's kind of like this

series where it's like you know you just feel like we're talking but then you

said the millions of people thing we're not there yet. -Well, you'll get there! -I'll get there yeah...

just keep plugging away. -Exactly... -All right so uh what do you want

to talk about? -What can we talk about? -I just thought I'd throw that out there...we don't have we have like 30 50

meters and then we do the WOW moment that you already know about because

you've seen this series... -Well I just like let's talk about you know traveling...

-Yes. -Traveling is a big thing I mean you took

your series...abroad...so that's kind of cool and I just like I don't

know I think it's a it's a huge thing and I was thinking about it recently

when I came here for Thanksgiving and I remember that most people

in this country get like what 15 days of vacation a year...-Max!

...- and you get it and your like well if you have 15 days your can't

really go that many places that often and of course in France we have like

zillions of days of vacation so we get to you know move around and I think that's so important in this day and age...

-I agree...it's a tough thing because yeah a) a lot of people a can't afford it with the

vacation, can't afford it financially you know...Europe's an

other great thing in the sense that you can hop quickly... -Yeah, for two, three days...

you go somewhere else, speak another language, see other people...-Yeah I'm super down with

that because I'm so aware of how stepping out of your comfort zone I mean

this is so cliche right but it broadens your horizons you can come less sort of like

you know focused on yourself and how great or you know getting stuck in your

head which is sometimes a little detrimental. -You have to meet different people...that don't think the way you do

...don't see the world the way you do ...-Alright here we go...

it's the WOW moment, words of wisdom...-Words of wisdom...

well to what we just said be curious we try to find new things meet new people

go to new places read different things watch different channels don't watch one

channel all the time like I'm going to the news but no just broaden your

horizons. -Yes, awesome...do you want to say bye to the folks at home? -Bye guys!

-Thanks for watching everybody see you next time

News on Youtube Dec 1 2017

Hey guys welcome to this series this is episode 2

where in I'm going to tell you how much does a flight attendant earn in the Philippines

So if you want to know how much just keep on watching

Just a disclaimer for this is just for informational purposes only and I do not I

Do not guarantee that all the information that is here. It is all

based on heresay

Or the info that I get as well as as well myself from other people so it's not really from the company

Okay, so on this video. We're going to talk about companies and

Range of salary of course it is based on the previous

video that I've made so make sure that you watch the episode 1 because that will explain

Why things are like this alright, so let's start with Philippine Airlines?

International okay, um this is actually based on

some people that I talk to

People that I know that work for them

But please do not quote me on this things may change and things never change anyway so for Philippine Airlines

International they earn about

Fifty to sixty thousand pesos a month that

involves everything basic salary flying hours layover salary and all the other bonuses that they have

Philippine Airlines Express or PAL Express

It really depends on the flying time because I used to work for them

But I was assigned in Cebu and the flying time is kind of different if you're assigned in Manila there are more flying time

so it will range about twenty to thirty thousand or

even forty thousand pesos a month and if you fly for

Cebu Pacific air some of my friends have flown there and they told me everything from bonuses

Commission

basic salary and allowances

It will average around

Thirty to fifty thousand a month I said they do sales, and they have like really good you know Commission as well

So that's what they told me when it comes to AirAsia Philippines

I know it will range about, I am told that it is a big basic salary

and then

That gives you a lot of perks though you also get bigger

tax but you can like you know get that loan for that car it's really a good salary

because you get good amount of salary

It will average about

minimum thirty to sixty

Thousand a month and also depending on your seniority because the people that I know that work there was very senior I think that's why

the salary is kinda big for them and AirAsia when you are based on malaysia

the salary is also different. It will range about minimum thirty to sixty thousand pesos a month

so that's the

Airlines that I know of here in the Philippines. I don't know about the other ones like the jet star and

like the other airlines that are small because I don't know people who are working there, but if you do comment down below

To help others with the information again don't quote me on this because this is all just the things that I've learned

Through my

through my

friends

Okay, so this is not from the company itself, and I didn't take any liabilities

from this information

Thank you for remembering to always like my videos and subscribe to my channel if you haven't been already been

Subscribed and I will see you guys on the next video. fly with you soon bye!

Today we are going to talk about the salary of

international flight attendants

Who are mostly based on the Middle East?

How much can I get pre-approved for a mortgage - Duration: 6:45.

Welcome to Homebuyer's School

brought to you by Brookfield Residential.

Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of Homebuyer's School. Today I'm joined by

Mujtaba Syed, a Mobile Mortgage Specialist with TD Canada Trust. And today the

question we're gonna answer is -and one that's very, very I guess, a very popular

question is, "How much can I actually get pre-approved for a mortgage?" So Mo, how

much, if I go right now to talk to you or a mortgage specialist, what's the maximum

I can get pre-approved?

That's a really good question Karl, so technically what

we look at is we'd look at a bunch of different factors when we're looking at

the amount that you can get pre-approved for. The most important thing we do

look at your credit score, now a credit worthiness is an important part of the

approval process, so there are certain criterias and guidelines we like

your credit to be at to see maximum - minimum approval amounts. I'll try to

explain a little bit more.

So if your Beacon score is technically

above 680 where we want to be at,

we want your TDS, which kind of

stands for Total Debt Ratio. So a total

debt ratio is what we take, is we take

your income, we take your monthly

obligations, plus the new monthly

obligations of your home you're looking

at buying, which is going to be your

mortgage payment, property taxes,

utilities. We want it to be around 44% of

your income, and the reason why the banks

want to be able to do that is we want

the extra - 56% to be available

just in case you might need it. We don't want you to be house poor for

sure. So if you're Beacon score is above 680 we can go to a maximum 44% of

your TDS. But unfortunately if it's lower

than 680, we want to be at 42% of TDS

and these are just bank account and guidelines that we take a look at.

We also look at something called GDS which is your Gross Debt Ratio which is just

technically the housing cost we talked about. So the housing cost once

again is just your mortgage payments, your property taxes, and your utilities

that technically could be part of the home. We want that to be once again if

your Beacon scores around 680, we want

that to be around 39% which is the maximum.

Now, you know if your Beacon scores less than 680, we unfortunately

can't go more past 35% once again, just

bank account of rules to kind of see

exactly how much you get pre-approved for.

When you're talking about, so let's step back a bit here.

What is a Beacon score? Just for those who don't understand.

Absolutely, so a Beacon score is a credit score and it's

a whole bunch of different things that combine into making like a "risk

rating" for the bank. So what we do we can look through a whole bunch of different

situations. We could look at how long

you've opened your credit bureau,

what kind of debts you have on your

credit bureau, how you make your payments,

if you switch your job frequently we

want to be able to show stability. So if

you switch jobs often or you

move addresses often, that could actually

result in a lower score, or we want to show

stability, we want to show comfort so

technically a score where I like to explain to my clients is just a

statistic. So once when we say someone has a beacon score of 680 it just means

to the bank that 1 out of 680 people were most likely default on a loan

compared to someone who might have a beacon score of 700, so 1 out of 700 is

less riskier to the bank compared to 1 out of 680 or even 1 out of 600.

So that's how the bank's look at it. It is a little bit more complicated, a

little complex, but it's just a brief idea of who you are as a person

technically, how you come across to the bank.

Does a previous mortgage affect your Beacon score as well?

Absolutely yeah. A previous mortgage

could definitely affect and depending on your repayment, how you

made the payments, the amount, it could definitely impact in a positive way

or it could impact in a negative way.

Does a- would it would you recommend

then having let's say you know, let's say you're in the process of selling a home

and looking to buy another home, either another home or transitioning out of

that, in your opinion would it be better to make sure you sell your home first or it

doesn't really matter?

Yeah, to me I don't think it really

matters because when we actually look at the pre-approval process we

can factor all that into the application. We can look at what makes the most

sense for you. If it makes the most sense to you because you feel like

selling based on your financial obligations, we can look into that. We can

also look in getting your pre-approved or approved for a mortgage by currently

holding that property as well. A lot of people think they want to sell but then

decide that they might want to turn into an investment property or rental

property, there are many, many different ways we can work on to the

application, there is no just one way to kind of do that.

One question I always wanted to know is "should I max out in terms of how much I

can get pre-approved for?"

Yeah, so once again it just depends on where

your comfort level is. If you think that that's your dream home and you're very

comfortable with it and you see yourself moving in there and living in there for

a very long time you might consider buying that house, it might be a little

bit close for maximum living, but you might know that your income potential is

just gonna keep on getting more and more, and that's something that definitely you

could speak to your specialist about. I always tell my clients as long as you're

comfortable with the payments make sure you do the monthly budget, those monthly

obligations, and see exactly where that fits in based on your lifestyle. If that

makes sense for you based on your lifestyle, it's a comfortable payment,

you don't feel you're stretched or you don't feel that it's a little

bit too much for you, that's the ideal place to be in my opinion.

Great, do you have anything else to add?

No I think that's technically it. Once again we

just want to reiterate that, just really sit down with your specialist, talk about

your obligations, talk about your financial situation, talk about where you

see yourself in the future, all that could have a really big impact on your

decisions today. We want to be able to look into the future and see does this

make sense in the future as well, not just today.

How To Choose Your Next Career Move - Duration: 3:04.

So, another question that I received is from Kwee Kang and he asked me about the

choices that I made with a different career moves. And I suggested to him that

probably the one most important criteria when you think about your next career

move is whether that role and that organization gives you the most learning

opportunities. So, I find that much more than the industry that you choose to

work in, much more than the company or its brand, more than the job title or

even the salary, but it's really the leader and the team that you work with

and do they have a learning culture. So my advise is perhaps at the later

stage of that interview process, not in the first interview, where you might

already be talking about salary and scope, is to ask that hiring manager the

person whom you'll be working with what's their track record of hiring and

developing people. Ask for specific names, people that they've hired, how have they

grown, what feedback and coaching that they've received and where are they today.

And it's very easy to tell between people who are genuinely delighted to

share and throwing all kinds of names because then you can ask can I follow up

and talk to them to validate it. I also use this as one of my most important

interview questions when I'm hiring for leadership positions because I feel that

leaders who are gonna run teams and the way they lead will shape culture much

more than anything else in the organization so I ask these candidates,

give me examples of people who you've hired and worked under you that you're

most proud of today. And I've seen it's very telling, I've interviewed CEOs who

struggle to give specific names and you can easily tell whether someone's trying

to fake it because you probe multiple times in terms of how specifically that

they hire, how do they coach and grow and where are they today. And I've also

interviewed people who are delighted with this question and we're just

brimming with so many names whether it's Sarah or Ali or Michael or John, people

whom they have the given the opportunities, they've coached

and specifically they're proud of where they are today especially they have gone

on to even higher roles than the the manager. So, I admire organizations who

really give that space and take chances with young people, give them roles

challenge them to take on new responsibilities and so that would be my

advice on how do you make your next career move.

How Much Should Your Pet Weigh and How Much to Feed Your Dog or Cat (The Our Pets Health Calculator) - Duration: 11:09.

hi thanks for signing up to my newsletter and joining the our pets

health community I started this site to improve the health and happiness of the

global dog and cat population but I can only do this by having people you

engaged and getting involved so thank you for doing just that

now if you haven't signed up to my newsletter yet and you're watching this

then head over to www.ourpetshealth.com/newsletter and sign up now to get

your free copy of my weight and diet calculator

okay so let's jump into this calculator now it's designed as a tool to give you

some idea as to what your pets ideal weight should be and how much you should

be feeding them based on their weight and body condition score is the weight

given or amount to be fed absolute well of course not because it relies on two

things being accurate which may not be the case now the first is the assumption

that your pet has an average metabolism an average exercise level and the second

is that their body condition score is accurate with this body condition scores

vary for a pet when scored by different individuals so it may be that

the score you give your pet is a little off I've said it before and I'll say it

again that your vet is the best place to get weight loss and dietary advice

specific to your pet ok to start with let's look at what your pets ideal

weight is so for this we need two things we need their body weight and we need

their body condition score now the calculator is designed to work in

kilograms but if you only know your pets weight in pounds then simply put it in

the yellow weight in pounds box here so say for example your pet was 44 pounds so 44

enter and that lets us know that the weight in kilograms is 20

so we can then transfer that weight into their current weight box so if you know

your pet is 20 kilos we go to the current weight click on that 20

kilograms next we need their current body condition score out of 9 now if you

don't already know this or know how to work it out then have a look at my body

condition score video linked here and in the description below as a reminder a

score of 4 or 5 is healthy and is a healthy condition score a score of 6 to

7 is overweight and a score of 8 or more is obese

a score of under 4 is underweight in this example we'll say our dog has a

condition score of 7 so click on the body condition score the yellow box

there and 7 fantastic so once you put your pets body condition score into the

yellow box that ideal weight in kilograms will be displayed so in this

case in the green box we can see that our 20 kilogram pet with a body

condition score of 7 should actually be 16 kilograms now to convert this into

pounds simply put the ideal weight so 16 into the weight in kilograms box over on

the right so 16 kilograms and that lets us know that our pets ideal weight is 35

point 2 2 pounds now one word about this ideal weight it's calculated here to

assume that the ideal weight is that the body conditions for a 5 so this means

that the weight given is actually at the very top end of at a healthy weight

bracket and being a little bit below this is absolutely fine if your pet is a

condition score of 4 brilliant just ignore the fact that the ideal weight

says that your pet should be a little heavier and the reason for that is that

the ideal weight is within a range so a range of 4 to 5 on the body condition

score so in this example our pet should actually be 16 kilograms to be a healthy

weight okay so hopefully that will make sense and you're happy finding out your

pets ideal weight for those of you with obese pets now you might be surprised

at how much weight they need to lose don't worry though it's not impossible

and it's definitely worth the effort even if they never quite make it down to

their ideal weight any weight loss will be a benefit give it to go and commit to

changes today now for those of you with overweight pets let's move on to find

out how much you should be feeding your pet

get them to lose weight now to work this out we need a couple of pieces of

information how many calories are in your pets food and how many calories are

in their treats now if you're feeding a commercial food and treats then the

calories should be written on the packet they might be written as kcal or as

calories with a capital C in some cases they will be the number of calories per

hundred grams in other cases it will be per kilogram in which case you'll need to

divide this by 10 if it gives a figure in some other measurements such as per

cup then you'll need to find out how much a cup weighs and do some maths to

work out the calorie content per hundred grams now if you can't find this

information on the packet then a quick quick search on Google should allow you

to find it on the manufacturers website alternatively it should give you a

contact number for more information and you can just give them a call and ask

them how energy dense the number of calories per 100 gram is in the food that

you're feeding they should be more than happy to help and they should have that

number at their fingertips it's really basic information that they will need to

know to to formulate the feeding recommendations that they give if you're

giving other things as treats with there being some great low fat treat foods

that can be used as treats then the calorie content of a lot of foods can be

found on calorieking.com so in this example I want to give my pet

some sausage so in the food search just sausage if I go to pork sausage fresh

cooked that's what I would give and then serving size so 100 turn that tick Ram's

and in this instance I can see that my pork sausage is 339 calories per hundred

grams ok so I can put that in this yellow box here 339 and I know from

their food packet let's say that their diet has 300 calories per hundred grams

so 300 calories per hundred grams in the diet energy content hit enter so once

you put these in these two values in so the treat of choice energy density and

the diet energy content into the yellow boxes then the magic should happen in

the boxes below so moving down in the red here

we have the amounts that we need to feed a dog that needs to lose weight now the

first figure is the average starting amount to feed

so that's 134 grams and that's the amount to feed on one day so you could

split that over several feeds ideally if your pet does not lose weight in the

first few weeks and the next figure is the amount that the food should be

dropped to so in this case 121 grams if though at any stage your dog loses more

than 2% of their body weight per week or your cat loses more than 1% body weight

in a week then their food amount should be increased to the third amount so

that's 148 grams so all of these values are starting figures and obviously

they're based on your pet's metabolic rate their activity levels and as such

and that's why there's not just one answer for each individual pet so if

you've seen my previous articles or videos then you'll know that losing

weight faster than this amount so 2% in dogs from 1% per week in cats can be

really very dangerous and even fatal especially in obese cats so it's really

important to pay close attention to this if you're feeding this amount though the

chances of any problems are absolutely tiny so don't worry too much it's just

something to be really aware of if your pet and especially if your cat refuses

to eat ok so the next column is in pink give you an idea of how much you can

give your pet as a treat each day and this is based on the fact that 10% of an

individual's calorie intake can be made up of treats so you'll see that there

are several ready-made options for you to give I'm using low calorie ideas so

we've got raw carrots green beans air popcorn plain rice crackers but if you

don't want to give any treats then we've also got their regular diet and this can

just be added into their intake at mealtime so in this case if we didn't

want to give any treats we would just add 15 grams to the amount that we were

feeding each day so that would bring us up to 149 grams that we were feeding

each day so again for our overweight pets in this example we should start off

by feeding 134 grams of their diet as well as 13 grams of sausage as their

treat every day if after a couple of weeks they've not lost any weight

then I'd reduce the amount that I'm feeding them at meal times to 121 grams

if they're losing weight too quickly at any point then I'll increase it up to

148 grams per day it's very unlikely that you'll get to that stage but it's

something to bear in mind okay so let's assume that our pet was in

fact a healthy weight in the first instance just stick to what you're

feeding them this obviously working so just keep at it

you're clearly giving them the right amount for their needs if though for

whatever reason you plan on changing their diet if we scroll down the values

in green will give you something to get started with now you'll see there are

two columns and this is because entire animals need to eat more than neutered

animals follow the columns across just as before and adjust accordingly

depending on if your pet gains or loses weight so in this case in the top line

if our pet's a healthy weight in this neutered we would start off by feeding 278

grams of this food along with 27 grams of our sausage or of course we could

give 24 grams of popcorn 23 grams of rice crackers or if we didn't want to

give them any treats just add 31 grams of their regular diet okay so moving on

to the orange sections if your pet is underweight and healthy increase their

intake by 25 to 50 percent and reweigh in one week if there's no weight gain or

alternatively if your pet is unwell for any other reason they might be drinking

more they might be just really not eating very much they might have

diarrhea if they're unwell for any other reason then you must take them to see

your vet now this calculator is not for use in underweight pets next up is a

fact that I've already mentioned if your pet is obese with a body condition score

of 8 or 9 then it is strongly advise that your pet undertake a weight loss program

only under the direction and close supervision of your veterinary team or

your veterinarian the extra support and monitoring will help to increase the

chance of success and this can't be overstated it's a long haul process just

getting that extra help that motivation is really important it just maximize our

chance of succeeding also the individual advice and the close monitoring by your

vet clinic will reduce any risk of too rapid a weight loss from taking place ok

and finally the tools provided for educational

and interest purposes it's a guideline it doesn't necessarily represent the

amount needed to be fed to specific individuals for the reasons we've

already stated amounts may need to be adjusted up or down depending on an

individual cat or dog circumstances lifestyle and their concurrent

conditions so especially if they're old and there's something else going on

there are other things that we might like to consider this calculator should

really only be considered for use after viewing our pets health obesity series

and body condition scoring videos so you understand exactly what we are dealing

with I want to support you in helping your pet to achieve and maintain their

healthy weight we just want to do it and as healthy and safe and manner as

possible please let me know if you're having any difficulties or if anything

I've described as still unclear and I'll do my very best to clarify things for

you so until next time i'm Dr. Alex from Our Pets Health because they're family

So, the goal of today and tomorrow—

there are many

goals in life,

many people have different dreams in life.

After many years of teaching,

I feel like people have five…five main goals.

First one, I think we can say, financial freedom?

So I…I don't want a lot of money—

I'm very happy in the monastery; we don't own anything—

but I would like to have enough money

that I don't have to think about money,

and what I want to do, I can just do.

So I have a girlfriend— she's 87 years old—

and I take care of her, and

every time I travel, I have to buy something for her.

They know. They go with me to buy it, to pick it out.

We did pretty good last time. And so,

I would like to have enough money—I don't have to worry,

you know, "My credit card doesn't have enough money," or something.

I would like to have a nice small house to

meditate and do my things.

I tried a cave, okay? I've tried it.

What you don't read about in the Buddhist book is spiders!

You are meditating and then 100 spiders are crawling on you!

So, I decided a small house is better.

And I don't need three cars,

but I would like to have one car that works, and I don't have to

waste my time fixing it all the time, you know?

So that's financial freedom.

Everybody would like to have that.

It means you don't have to worry about money.

You just plant it.

You know, like I have watermelons in my garden.

I just plant them in the… in the spring.

Then I don't sit in my house and worry, you know.

I know they will grow.

I don't have to do anything.

I just relax.

I go out in the summer, and they're ready, and I eat them.

Money should be like that.

Then, second thing, you can have lots of money,

but if you're lonely, it's not fun.

It would be nice to have a beautiful partner

—that you get along with? Always?

You don't get bored of them;

you don't fight with them;

they are loyal to you.

Be nice to have like, perfect partner.

I think, everybody would like to have a nice partner.

I think it's one of the greatest happinesses in life.

Then if you have a nice partner, and you have lots of money,

but you're not healthy, that's a problem.

A lot of people, to get the money, they use up their health,

and they feel tired, old.

There's—something hurts in their body.

So I think the third goal—

that people would like to feel energy? Or young? Feel young?

And have good health.

It's fun to be healthy all the time,

and to have enough money to do what you want,

and to have a beautiful partner, and you don't feel lonely, okay?

Then—I'm gonna… Can you hold this? It's too hot.

I thought it was— Europe was—cool.

Then…

there are people who have those three things

but they're not happy.

Last—two weeks ago, in America—

maybe the most successful comedian,

he killed himself.

He didn't take pills; he hung himself, you know.

Then, he has everything,

but he's not happy, you know,

and you see that.

So I think all of us are attracted to this image of a

"Buddhist monk is meditating and very peaceful inside," you know.

And we would—

I don't think many of us would want to live

in a Buddhist monastery;

they're not fun place like you think, okay—

it's a lot of work—

but we would like to have that peace, you know,

that we imagine the Buddhist monks have.

So I think, that would be the fourth goal—in my mind:

"I would like to be successful on the outside;

"and inside, I would like to be a Buddhist monk—

even if I have a family."

You know, and…

and everyone thinks like that.

Then, I always tell people…

UQx LEARNx The student teacher relationship - Duration: 8:21.

JULIE BOWER: What is it about that one teacher we remember so strongly that makes us feel either

immense warmth and admiration or sheer dread when remembering how we learned about how

to find the area of a triangle!

I came across a really powerful statement a number of years ago by Dr Haim Ginott that

has completely changed the way I walk into a classroom.

"I've come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom.

It's my personal approach that creates the climate.

It's my daily mood that makes the weather…I possess a tremendous power to make a child's

life miserable or joyous.

I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration.

I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal.

In all situations it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated

and a child humanised or dehumanised".

The student – teacher relationship is profoundly important in how students learn.

When the classroom is characterised by emotionally engaged teachers, there is a much greater

chance that students will be actively engaged and deep learning will take place.

Meta-analyses by John Hattie indicate that the student-teacher relationship is absolutely

paramount – the school context is a major source of social and cultural learning and

the quality of the relationship that a student has with his/her teacher is an important factor

in that student's well-being and learning outcomes.

The teacher smiles, some laughter, – a relaxed but structured atmosphere, students are respectful

of a teacher's knowledge about a subject, students feel comfortable sharing opinions,

students know and accept teacher expectations, teachers treat students with respect.

Cornelius-White (2007) conducted a meta-Analysis of 119 studies to identify these teacher-

student relational variables.

The emotional connectivity of the teacher with the student, the student with the student, and the

teacher with the teacher optimises the classroom for positive learning experiences and outcomes.

Emotions drive our engagement with the world around us.

They influence our decisions, how we interpret experience, and how we create memories.

As educators it is imperative to leverage this emotional drive in our students if we

want to impact student motivation for deep learning.

Relationships are a crucial pathway for doing so.

Cooperative group learning and peer mentoring have been linked to positive social and academic

outcomes, relative to individual or competitive tasks.

Social emotions such as empathy, admiration, love, and compassion meet our basic human

need to belong.

So providing opportunities for students to work together, and for teachers to work together,

can have important positive outcomes in schools.

Some fascinating research about empathy by Mary - Helen Immordino - Yang has shown us that

being able to empathise with others actually increases neural activity in the brain.

What her research shows us is that by engaging social emotions (such as empathy) where students

experience meaningful learning and connect socially with others, they are actually using

more brain processing capacity enabling them to connect ideas, to remember these experiences

longer term, and make meaning of their life experiences.

The Mindful Practice for Teachers program was developed with teachers for teachers.

It provides an opportunity for teachers to work together on their own well-being and

experience social emotions such as empathy.

This program combines relaxation skills, self-awareness, mindful movement, and background knowledge

about the effects of stress on the body and brain to assist teachers to self-regulate

their emotions in the classroom.

Teachers have found some really positive impacts on their daily teaching practice and their

relationships with their students.

We know positive relationships are crucial to learning, but what steps can we take to

build an environment where positive teacher-student relationships flourish?

Firstly we must look after our teachers.

Teachers need opportunities to plan together, to debrief, to make professional decisions,

and to learn about emotions.

Teachers need to be aware of the enduring effects that their own presence, empathy,

and emotional states have on their students.

Secondly, we then need to create relaxed and respectful classrooms where students and teachers

can engage meaningfully with each other for deep learning.

Thirdly, we must find the balance between helping students to find their strengths and

challenging them to broaden their minds and build the capacity to think creatively about

new and exciting concepts.

Emphasising the importance of competition and performance outcomes, such as how much

an exam is worth, might encourage the students to work hard, but it may also produce negative

emotions.

Activities that promote interest, challenge thinking, and provide opportunities for success

for all students, whether individually or collaboratively, are more emotionally engaging

longer term.

So once we establish that emotionally positive educational climate, there are a number of

strategies we can use to build positive student teacher relationships.

For example, we can explicitly teach social and emotional skills for working together

(for example managing emotions, mindfulness, social problem solving, being a good communicator,

naming emotions, understanding how emotions and the brain work, finding personal strengths);

we can provide opportunities for students to work meaningfully together towards self-set

goals; periodically we can check in and see if the presentation can be made more creative

or enjoyable, we can smile; we can provide a sense of predictability in the classroom

to heighten students' perception of control; we can clearly communicate expectations and

performance demands; we can create a learner-centred classroom where learning is separate from

testing; we can encourage students to become intrinsically motivated and self-regulated

learners; and we can provide a degree of student choice in authentic learning tasks.

If we focus on building positive teacher-student relationships using these strategies, perhaps

we will become that one amazing teacher that someone conjures up and remembers when reflecting

back on what they have learned at school.
