folder option and you can see the folder where the sytem app file has been saved

pretty easy to hear now you need to upload this site amount to your server

where this website is hosted now we head over to the second tab that is at side

of maps and it takes you to another to setup where you can add sytem apps once

again copy the concern the URL

Timeline now go back to the user area and select

the same block that was shared earlier this time select all the social media

Facebook Twitter timelines tumblr to post the blog again choose a posting day

time schedule and hit confirm wheel once again check first facebook.com and you

see the post has been shared next Twitter and then tumblr timeline

to check another feature of this awesome tool that called Facebook campaign with

this feature you can launch a Facebook campaign we begin with entering the

title and description of the campaign

once you created you can see it in the Facebook campaign section with all its

this feature allows you to search campaigns by any name now let's give the

keyword name to search in groups it will display all the existing open closed

edit the page enter the title message that should be displayed on the top of

add an image from your media gallery and

review the changes made to the entry in the URL area now select the entry and

section and set the schedule of posting it once the schedule has been added

successfully go to facebook.com and review the post in the post below the

image is the URL once you click on the image it will take you to the URL

affiliate link that was added now we go back to the dashboard area in the URL

section here you can delete any post that want

let's select entry number 489 and delete it and then confirm this is how simply

you can add create URLs affiliate links Facebook campaigns and launch them on

these hot social sites with a simple mouse click whoa what's easy is single

quote Mt now let's click on the Facebook campaign

tab we go to the online marketing campaign we created earlier there are

options in the right to launch it and delete it

added launchers added created on

number of lunch or groups successfully created added congratulations you are

Destination Ares Review - Duration: 6:43.

Sometimes you just look at the screenshots for a game and know.

You know it's going to be something you'll enjoy very much.

I did not have that feeling with Destination Ares.

Actually I was extremely hesitant to play it at all.

Yet, I feel inclined to give most games a shot and I'm glad I did.

Destination Ares is a simulation about flying through space to get to a planet so the crew

can start a new life.

You don't take charge of the ship by playing the commander.

Oh no.

You're the ever watching AI that must direct the crew to problems on the ship.

What a wonderful twist on playing god.

Of course two thousand one a space odyssey comes to mind.

The AI handles all events, internal and external.

Sometimes you'll get a communication or something emotional happens on the ship.

You need to select how to handle it and sometimes complete a minigame.

The outcome of the event could allow you to continue your trip or if you fail probably

something is going to break.

In a way it's like FTL because you need to manage the systems of the ship by turning

them off and on.

Also directing the crew to repair the components when they break with either a warning or an

emergency.

If you tell the crew it's an emergency repair they'll stop at nothing to fix it.

They'll even put their own lives at risk.

The communication system is most important because if that breaks you can't talk to

the crew.

It's funny when it's completely broken and they ignore fixing it.

Frustrating too though.

I'm pretty sure the crew is too stupid to fix it themselves.

Which is how I learned that if you hover over an item you can see if it's already starting

to degrade.

It's best to keep up the repairs on the most important components of your ship.

It can be a little annoying when the oxygen starts to get low and the system has failed

but no one will make an effort to fix it.

They're fixing the engine instead.

You're going to DIE, please fix the life support you idiots.

Your body, the metal surrounding the crew, is extremely important.

You're given five different configurations with only one being unlocked from the start.

I don't appreciate being barred from playing a higher difficulty if I want to.

I wasn't able to get very far with the beginner ships, I don't know if it's possible to

beat the game with them.

None of those ships matter though because the game really starts when you can build

your own ship.

You have to unlock it by spending points in a tree but the tiers after that unlock more

parts.

Your created ship still has constraints so you can't stick everything you want on there

but it's very free form.

Nothing to stop you from creating a ship that doesn't have a toilet, but don't do that.

Creating your own ship is the best way to play though.

I'm not sure why they even included the default ships.

It's a much more personal experience if your crew and your ship are in trouble.

Hiding the coolest part of the game from the start almost made me put it down immediately.

Do the developers not realize it's the best or was this a terrible attempt at a tutorial.

Forcing the player to fly a beginner ship is not as much fun.

As far as I'm concerned this is the ONLY way to play.

If you do decide to pick up Destination Ares make sure to purchase ship building as soon

as possible.

Another mechanic that bugs the hell out of me is the mini game for deciding events.

One of the events that happens frequently is that someone on the ship is hoarding food.

You can select from several responses to this and then based on that it will set the difficulty

of the minigame.

But the minigame is so confusing.

You're instructed to think Minesweeper.

Yellow dots on a square show how many red squares it's touching, don't touch the

red squares.

Then they give you a radar ping to see how many yellow dots are around you.

It's just not intuitive, especially when you're in a time limit situation.

Minesweeper works because you have a timer going up and precise control.

In this game it's the exact opposite.

The controls are too loose and with a little jiggle you'll hit a red block.

To further aggravate there are blank blocks that without hitting them seem like red blocks.

Those were free in Minesweeper!

The whole minigame is annoying and I go back and forth if the game is actually worth playing

because of the minigame.

I also wish the power management was a lot clearer.

Maybe I'm too used to FTL where I have very obvious control over the power level but Destination

Ares is obtuse.

There's nothing clear about how much power each system takes or how much extra power

I have.

For the beginner ship you need to juggle power a lot but when I built my own ship I had plenty

of solar panels.

It would be a lot easier to create a ship if I knew how much power each system used

and how much power I was going to generate from the solar cells.

The game is difficult enough I don't know why this isn't in the user interface.

One thing to note is that I am getter farther in the game each time I play it.

I'm not sure if that's because of the upgrades I'm getting or from skill.

The game is slower so sometimes it feels more like a puzzle that needs to be solved.

How many beds, batteries, and engines are optimal to make it all the way.

My best run is forty nine percent of the way.

I think with enough tweaks to my custom ship I could reach my destination.

I'm not going to try and paint a fantastic picture of an amazing game you must play.

It has problems.

What I did find was a game that had a unique style with more depth than expected.

I know it's not the highest praise but I think it could be worth your time.

You should be looking for a silly god game that's not stressful.

Well unless the communication system breaks and they won't fucking fix it.

After about a year of early access I would expect some of this to be fixed but with eight

reviews it looks like Destination Ares was a little passed over.

Hurts a little because I think with teaks to the minigame and some of the ship mechanics

it could have been a lot better.

I wonder if the developer is willing to work on this if more people start picking it up.

It has something though, and that's more than I can say for a lot of other games.

Vernee M5 Review and Unboxing: DO YOU REALLY NEED THIS PHONE? - Duration: 8:42.

Hey guys!

This is Tech Brothers.

Vernee company is very active recently.

This chinese manufacturer releases a lot of smartphones for the last time, such as Vernee

Thor Plus, Vernee Mix, and others.

Today we want to talk about another new smartphone Vernee M5.

We received this smartphone some days ago from our partner GearBest online store.

In description, under the video, you can find links where to buy Vernee M5 cheaper.

Vernee M5 is budget smartphone, and it doesn't have any latest features, like bezel-less

design, dual rear camera, etc.

At first glance, it is regular Android smartphone without any features.

So, let's review it, and find out is it true or not.

The smartphone comes in white box.

Here we can see company logo on the front panel.

On the back there is specification list.

Let's open the box, and see what's inside.

Here we meet smartphone.

It has factory film on both front and back panels.

We look at design of smartphone later.

Under the smartphone we can see USB cable, power adapter, user manual, and sim needle.

It's a pitty, but there is not headphones and silicone case.

If the headphones is not necessary, because they are often bad quality, though silicone

case would be very useful.

Vernee M5 is made of plastic, that looks like metal.

It is really think smartphone, with 6.9 mm.

Most of other budget devices have thicker bodies.

It is not bezel-less phone, so there is frame on the left and right of display.

However, they are almost invisible, thanks to 2.5D effect of protective glass.

Also, you should note that there is no Home button, and fingerprint sensor is located

on the back.

On the right side you can find power key and volume rocker.

The slot for sim card is on the left side.

It is hybrid slot, so you can use dual SIM card, or one sim card and microSD memory card.

Despite thin body, Vernee M5 has 3.5 mm audio jack on the top.

At the bottom is microUSB port, and holes for speaker and microphone.

On the back panel of Vernee M5 is everything standard: the main camera sensor in the middle,

fingerprint sensor under camera, and to the left is LED flash.

Plastic inserts for antenass are very thin and stretched horizontally.

So, Vernee M5 doesn't have metal body, dual rear camera or bezel-less design, however,

thanks to its 5.2 inch display and think body, it looks and feels very good.

As I already said, Vernee M5 comes with 5.2 inches HD display.

Its neither too wide, like 5.5 inches, not to narrow, like 5 inches, so it is very confortable

to hold and use with one hand.

Its an IPS LCD panel, which has 2.5D glass on top.

The colors and brightness are decent with good amount of saturation.

The resolution is 1280 by 720 pixels.

Yes, it is not Full HD, but not many people will feel the difference at this size.

Vernee M5 is powered by very common processor for budget Chinese smartphone – MediaTek

MT670.

It provides good performance for budget device, thanks to eight cores with clock speed 1.5 GHz.

One of the main feature of this chipset is integrated modem with supporting 4G LTE Category

6 networks.

It has download speed up to 300 MBps.

The chipset can handle most intensive processing without any lags.

Also it has not problems with heating.

The maximum temperature it reaches up to 44 degrees.

Vernee M5 comes with 4GB of RAM for multitasking, and 64GB of internal storage with support

microSD card up to 128 GB.

Now, let's see some benchmarks.

New smartphone has about in AnTutu.

It is really good result for budget smartphone, As for geekbench 4, here we can see in single

core test, and in multi core test.

Later we will make video with performance test of this smartphone, and show you all

benchmarks and real gaming experience.

Vernee M5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with VOS UI on top.

It is user interface from Vernee, that does not differ much from stock Android.

There is no unneccessary Chinese apps.

However, you will get security updates and fixes through OTA.

The inferface works very fast and smoothly.

I don't notice any problems while testing smartphone.

Vernee company says, that new smartphone can take photos no worse than Samsung Galaxy J5

2017.

Perhaps, it is true, because specifications are almost identical.

Vernee M5 comes with 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera.

The camera app looks similar to other Chinese smartphones.

Here you can find different modes, such as HDP, panorama, and other settings, like photo

and video resolution.

At the moment we can not tell you about camera quality.

We have to test it, and then talk about photo quality.

Later, we will publish video with detailed camera test of Vernee M5.

Despite very thin body, Vernee M5 is equipped with good battery capacity of 3300 mAh.

I should say, that OnePlus 5 has much more bigger sizes, and it received a battery of

similar capacity.

The manufacturer promises about 240 hours of standby time, or 13 hours of playtime video.

What can I say about Vernee M5?

It seems very simple Android smartphone for the second half of 2017.

It doesn't have latest features, like bezel-less design or dual rear camera.

However, we know that dual rear camera on budget smartphones is often fake, so I'm not

upset.

As for design, Vernee M5 has very thin body, and compact size, so it is convenient to hold

in hand.

I think it is the most important thing.

So, Vernee M5 looks pretty good for its price.

By the way, the price of this smartphone is about $120.

Kitchen Product Review 6 | Rapid Slicer - Duration: 5:59.

Kitchen Product Review 6 Rapid Slicer

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor, today I

have another product review episode for you, I am going to be reviewing a product called

the Rapid Slicer.

It is a really cool product, and I am going to be doing a demonstration, and show you

how it works, it is definitely a good product to have, if you are slicing, vegetables, little

fruits, all the time.

I will go through a demonstration and show you how it works, and then you can decide

for yourself, if it might be beneficial for you in your kitchen.

My first impressions, I absolutely love this thing, I know it is going to save me a lot

of time, and it has saved me a lot of time cutting and prepping, and things like that.

So without further ado let's go through a demonstration.

All right as you can see we have a lid with a little handle that you can hold onto, and

the bottom part, and on the bottom here there are these little feet, that grab really well

to the surface.

Now first, normally what you would do, say with olives, is you take a whole olive, you

can buy them pre-sliced but they are more expensive.

So let's say I have these whole olives, and I want to cut them up for some kind of a salad,

for some kind of dish and I don't want them to be whole, normally I would take one, and

I would take my paring knife, and go like that for each individual one, you could line

up a couple, and then it just starts to get kind of unruly, and if you are really fast,

you could do that, but you might cut your fingers, whatever the case.

Now, this is where this product comes in really handy.

So I am going to go ahead and take a bunch of these whole olives, as you can see I can

put a bunch of them in here, look how many I can put in there.

Especially for big dishes, now to cut all of those individually, with a knife would

take quite awhile, now you put the little top on here, you just apply a little bit of

pressure, and not too much, and you take your knife, and you want a blade that is at least

7 inches long, will work the best, and you put it in here, and go like this, right like

that, boom!

Look at this; all of these are sliced in half.

Isn't that awesome?

Really cool, I am going to put these back in here, and um, normally I would wash, this

off, before I use something else, and for that, one thing that is cool about this is

that it is dish washer safe, on the top rack, or you can just hand wash it, but it is dishwasher

safe, that is a cool little tip.

So normally I would wash this off, but just for the demonstration, I am going to show

you how to do this with grapes, you just take your grapes and put them on there, uh one

thing to note, you do want everything to be you know, almost pretty close to the same

size, it works better that way, it doesn't have to be, but if you want a more even cut,

if it is all the same size it works a little bit better, cherry tomatoes are a great thing

to use with this product, another thing that is cool is you can put like a chicken filet,

or a piece of meat, in there, and um you know you can do the same thing with a little meats

and chicken, so you just put the top on like this, hold it down fairly firm, not too much,

and then take your knife, and then within a couple of seconds, 15 30 seconds, I have

a bunch of grapes, that are sliced in half.

Isn't that awesome?

And now some final thoughts and impressions about this product the Rapid Slicer, first

off I love it, it is a great little, product, it definitely works as intended, it is easy

to clean, throw it in the dishwasher, top rack, or you can hand wash it, it is made

out of food grade material, umm, it just works really well, sometimes you get these little

products and they might seem gimmicky, and they don't work that well, this thing works

amazing, I am happy I have it, it is a huge time saver, so if you are always cutting up

little vegetables, little fruits, um, this product is for you for sure, I definitely

recommend it, some other things that may or may not be of importance to you, um it is

made in America, and shipped from America, that may or may not be of important to you,

and uh yeah, it is great little product, I really like it, I recommend it to anybody,

media and what our approach is to running a successful social media campaign

Social media to us is a platform where we can be creative we

can talk to our audience and our customers directly but most of all where we

can have fun!

We find if we have fun and we show people behind the scenes and some of the

kind of knowledge that we have...

Mr Quilter has turned up!

It should be social.

It should be the same as me meeting you in the street, shaking your hand and saying hello and working out what it is you do.

We launched at the beginning of October in 2016 with a 360 degree launch party.

Now this was scary.

We'd never done 360 video before let alone launched an entire business using

it so there was a massive learning curve throughout the whole

process from the technology, to the editing, to the sound to the lighting.

We launched the company by getting loads of 360 goggles, we sent them around to loads of

different businesses, influencers, people in radio, people in TV tried to get the

momentum for the Giant Campus band rolling and I think it did that I think

we got a lot of traction in and kind of local press and on radio and the 360

video on our YouTube channel. Another cool piece of content that we

put together quite early on in the life of Giant Campus will our boring training

video to some the word training kind of send shivers down your spine

Waiting for the clock to tick down to home time

In Giant Campus that is not how we deliver training, we use our ball pit or we use

the macs around the ping-pong table or the bar area, so we wanted to highlight

the difference between traditional forms of training and what we can offer

Halfway through the year we hired our Prefect, Amber, just off camera just over there.

And we came up with a competition and the objective of this competition was to

increase our Facebook following. A really good way to build kind of a buzz

around a brand. So we came up with the Jedi Box giveaway. The idea behind this

giveaway... Ram a box full of really cool gadgets, desk toys, things to keep

you productive, invite you to share our posts to follow us on Facebook with the

chance to winning this box but for every one of those people who know another

200-300 people there will be business owners in that mix somewhere.

Our latest campaign idea was a really exciting one for us here Giant

Campus because for the first time we could collaborate with Sleeping Giant Media, we

pretended we had the new iPhone early and we reviewed some of the made-up

features that we thought the new iPhone would have. We weren't that far away as it

turns out... The results of that piece of content was more Facebook views than

we've ever had before more YouTube views and we've ever had before more social

interaction I think we had something like 58 thousand impressions on Twitter on

the launch night itself for the iPhone and because the iPhone is still going

that content is all completely relevant.

Working together produces some really cool things it's a

collaboration across social is an awesome thing for any business to do.

So, that's been on social media I hope you've enjoyed this video I hope you've

enjoyed a years worth of posts and hopefully you've had a quick look so

here's to the second year of Giant Campus.

Ahh, I don't have any party-poppers, I'm in the library... Shh!

Review of the Anet E10 3D printer - Duration: 13:08.

With the Anet E10 I got another 3D printer from my sponsor Gearbest.

The design is similar to that of the Creality CR10 I have tested in a previous video, however the dimensions of the Anet E10 are clearly smaller.

Nonetheless the print volume of 22x27x30cm is anything but small.

Why there is a hole in the back side of the electronics box will be explained later in this video.

The printer comes almost preassembled.

As with many cheap printers there are minor scratches on the surface of some components, however that doesn't affect the functionality.

The good build instruction is available in a printed version as well as pdf and a video on the micro SD card.

I needed approximately two hours to assemble the printer, however I took many pictures and video sequences during my build and I had to eliminate minor errors in design.

The aluminum frame is very solid.

The X axis is guided along one of the aluminum profiles by plastics rolls.

Quality and shape of the rolls are anything but perfect - you can feel that the movement is a bit rough while operating the print head manually.

At the end points of the X axis you can see that the lower edge of the belt doesn't run in parallel to the movement of the print head - an issue you can observe at many cheap printers.

The Y axis moves along round steel bars guided by metal bearings.

The movement of that axis is clearly smoother.

There is also an issue with the belt that doesn't run in parallel to the movement of the axis out of the box, however that error is easy to fix.

The electronics is in a solid metal box.

The LCD screen is a bit loose in it's frame, which doesn't really matter when operating the printer...

...but the rotary button has to be pulled out every now and then to make it trigger properly.

Wiring is done quickly - all plugs are protected against reverse polarity and labeled perfectly.

As written in the build instruction, use the correct terminals to wire up the end switches.

I cut off approximately half of the polyteraflourethylene tube running to the hotend - it shouldn't be longer than needed to reduce friction.

There is an issue with the wiring of the z motors:

The build plate hits the plugs while moving along the y axis.

So I turned the motors for 90 degrees to make it all work properly, however a couple of screws had to be loosened to do so.

Let's turn the printer on for the first time:

Through the printer menu, nozzle and buildplate get preheated for PLA with the print bed being set to 50 degrees Celcius.

After approximately 3 minutes the target temperature is reached and with that you can put the plastics sheet on the build plate.

Make sure that no bubbles are underneath the foil.

Next step is adjusting the printer.

Whenever the motors are disabled, you can turn the spindles of the Z axis freely, by what the frame of the machine bends and the X axis gets misaligned.

First thing to be done is moving both ends to the same height, for what I am using a pen as reference.

The spindles are turned manually until the pen fits under both ends of the X axis.

Leveling the print bed starts with turning all corner points of the build plate to a low position

Auto home all axes afterwards - especially the Z axis must move to the end switch.

With the motors being disabled, you can move the print head to the corner positions manually and raise the plate by turning the knurled nuts.

Adjust a gap of 1 to 2 millimeters in the first run...

...and reduce that gap step by step until nothing but a sheet of paper fits tightly between nozzle and print bed in the final run.

Now, you can insert filament.

The printer comes with two 10m rolls of white PLA.

As soon as the target temperature of 200 degrees Celcius is reached, you can push the lever at the extruder motor and insert the filament, which is always a bit fiddly at this printer.

As you can see, no plastics exits the nozzle.

I found the reason for that after removing the bowden on top of the hotend:

There was a piece of plastics jamming on top of the drill hole.

The worker in the factory did obviously not remove the filament properly after a test run.

While working with the E10 I found that the filament is always jamming at that point when trying to remove a spool.

The inner diameter of the Teflon tube is larger than that of the 2mm drill hole on top of the hotend, thus it can't work properly!

To fix that issue, you should replace the Teflon tube with one having the correct inner diameter, I widened the drill hole to 2.5mm which is not the best solution.

After inserting the micro SD card...

...and initializing the storage device, you can select a file and so start a print job.

I am using a file named "chess" that came with the printer.

The job starts after the target temperatures of print bed and hotend are reached.

The first layers were printed as expected so I went back to my office to continue working on other stuff.

When I came back after 10 minutes, that the job was aborted.

Temperature of print bed and hotend were set to zero, which was why I thought that a short power failure caused the error.

However when I tried to start that file again, the voltage dropped, causing the printer to reboot.

So there was in internal reason for the power failure - I figured out that the power supply was faulty.

I replaced the device by the 12V line of an old computer power supply I had in stock...

...and that worked!

After telling the manufacturer about the faulty power supply he sent a spare part to Germany.

More about that on my pages.

The mantra of my projects is to fix issues in a simple way and thats what I did by using the old computer power supply.

So let's continue with testing the printer.

In the second run, the job was finished after approximately one hour and the result isn't bad.

Another issue with the printer came to my mind when starting own projects:

Even while the nozzle temperature was set to 210 degrees Celcius, during operation, the real temperature was no more than 195 degrees.

The fan of the print head that normally cools the upper part of the extruder is also blowing on the lower part that is called "hot end" for good reasons...

A piece of Kapton tape at the lower part of that fan keeps the air flow away from the nozzle and with that the print head reaches 210 degrees with ease.

I hate wasting my time with printing sculptures or benchmark figures which is why I designed a special gimbal mount as a test run.

It's composed of a variety of gears - the largest with a diameter of 19.9cm going to the edges of the print bed.

Rapid changes in direction are needed to print the teeth of the gears - the tooth width of this middle sized gear is only 2mm.

More about my printer test and the mechanics build from all the parts is shown in a subsequent video.

You can see that there are gaps on top of the gears.

That's because of the too weak extruder motor: The motor is skipping by what the filament doesn't move with the accordant amount and so the flow of plastics exiting the nozzle is too low.

Here I am printing with 60mm per second with a layer height of 0.2mm.

Maybe with a better Teflon tube having the correct inner diameter the friction is lower and the printer works with higher speeds.

With the current setup, the print speed has to be lowered to get good results.

With a reduced print speed of no more than 30mm per second I got clearly better results.

To get an impression of the print quality you can have a look at high resolution photos of the prints I made with the E10 on my pages.

All in all the gears and threads work so that this printer is at least an applicable device after eliminating the errors in design.

There are obviously quality issues so that the manufacturer must do his homework before I would call this printer a good deal for non experts.

While experts can handle all the trouble with ease, for beginners in 3D printing this might be a frustrating experience.

I really like the look of the relatively sturdy aluminum frame, but I dislike the plastics wheels even if they are obviously doing their job.

Those wheels are another point in design I'd like to be changed by the manufacturer.

Suikoden III Review! (PS2) The Game Collection - Duration: 13:39.

Welcome back to The Game Collection!

Summer has finally ended, and with it the Summer of Suikoden is winding down.

But before I say goodbye to it for good I wanted to cover the third and, chronologically,

final entry in the Suikoden series.

I am SuperDerek, and this is Suikoden III!

Suikoden III is an interesting addition to the classic, turn-based series.

Released in 2002, the game wasn't exactly what you'd call an early title in the PS2's

lifespan.

Despite this, the game is the series' first foray into the realm of three dimensions.

In fact, Suikoden III departs from the first two in a number of ways, which was a bold

decision.

Did it pay off though?

Our story begins 15 years after the events of Suikoden II, far to the west of the Jowstone

Empire.

The Zexen Federation is signing a peace treaty with the neighboring Grassland Tribes, when

things take a sudden and drastic turn for the worse.

The first departure from the norm, you will see as soon as you begin the game.

You are immediately prompted with making a blind choice between three characters: Hugo,

a brash young warrior of the proud Karaya tribe; Chris the silver-haired maiden of the

Zexen Knights; and Geddoe the leader of a mercenary group.

Throughout the game as you complete chapters, you will be brought back to this character

selection screen to play through those chapters again from each character's perspective.

As such, there's not a single silent protagonist filling the role of the hero this time around,

but rather three, fully fleshed out characters.

Each character's story centers on the events of a mounting regional war between the Grassland

tribes, the Zexen Federation, and a shadowy force acting behind the scenes.

Suikoden I and II offer a grim outlook for humanity and our collective inability to avoid

war.

We're drawn to it like a moths to flame.

Suikoden III on the other hand offers a more hopeful perspective on humanity, and our abilities

to come together to overcome greater obstacles.

And while that's certainly a less bleak outlook on life, it also differentiates itself from

its predecessors in a way that makes it feel like less of the Suikoden games that I've

come to know and love over the course of this summer.

That isn't to say that this game is free from its share of tragedy though.

There were definitely a few tragic moments throughout the game that left me without words.

And the fact of the matter is that things didn't really turn out alright for many

people in the game.

Suikoden III didn't do as great of a job of putting faces to some of those more tragic

events though.

Suikoden III still stabs you in the heart, but I just don't think they twisted the

knife quite right, if that makes sense.

The towns that were destroyed were decimated before I had a chance to get to see them flourish

first.

The NPCs that were killed off didn't have names or faces, and seemed to be instantly

replaced a few cut-scenes later.

The main characters that died barely seemed to have an impact on their own family members

for more than a few moments before they began the healing process.

I really don't want to give away spoilers, but nothing in Suikoden III holds a candle

to the plight of a certain little girl in Suikoden II.

But maybe that's too high of a standard?

Konami did try to revive the series staple of the sympathetic antagonist.

Unfortunately, I wasn't really sympathetic toward that character.

During the exposition dump where they try to make you feel the emotions for that antagonist,

I... felt the motivations for that character were just too abstract, and too petty to really

warrant the solution that they were offering, which took a huge leap in logic in the first

place.

So...

It might just be an issue with the localization?

Or maybe the original story?

I don't know, but at the end of the day, I wasn't really buying it.

Your mileage might vary though.

Suikoden III on paper plays pretty much the way you might expect it to.

Navigating towns and environments will feel familiar to anybody who's played Final Fantasy

X.

The camera controls are non-existent in favor of fixed camera-angles, or follow-cameras

on pre-defined rails.

These are completely serviceable, though they give me a slight case of claustrophobia.

The choice appears to be made due to time and budgetary reasons which makes sense.

After all, if you can't turn the camera, you can't see that the other half of the

world hasn't been constructed.

This slight problem was made a bit more noticeable when the camera gives you a slightly-too-tight

shot of your character running from side-to-side with a slightly too large hit-box, causing

you to get stuck on more passer-by NPCs than I could easily forget.

The real meat and potatoes of the game is of course, in the combat.

Which is more or less the same as before, where magical attacks have a set number of

charges, and character leveling was lifted straight from previous titles.

I wish I could say the same thing for the battle mechanics though.

While parties still consist of up to 6 characters of your choosing, Konami introduced some sort

of buddy system, where your columns acted as a single controllable entity.

So if you wanted to use one character's magic attack from the back row, you relinquish

control over the front row character, who will just deal physical attacks autonomously.

In this sort of case where your melee characters are in the front row and casters are in the

back can help speed up the flow of battle by 50%, but at the cost of 50% party control.

One of the neat things introduced that helps make the change worthwhile is the addition

of mounts, such as how Hugo can ride atop his Griffon, Fubar, but it would have been

nicer still to have the option to set certain characters to auto-attack if that was the

end goal.

The end result is what I think is a bit of an invasive solution to a problem that didn't

really exist in the first place.

Making a return from the first couple games is the series staple of recruiting a very

large cast to fill out the ranks of your castle.

There are fewer missable characters, and most will make their way into your party as long

as you follow the general guideline of trying to be a decent person to all people in the

game.

This decreases the difficulty of completing the game quite a bit, though the bonus for

doing so doesn't seem as impactful as in the previous Suikoden titles.

With the third iteration of the series, we also get a third interpretation of large-scale

battles.

This time, units are moved along points on a map that's no longer grid-based.

Some spots have different tactical advantages, such as receiving less damage, or even healing

wounds over a series of turns.

The individual skirmishes within the battles play out very similarly to normal battles

within the game, but with even less control over the different parties.

I think this makes sense, since I wouldn't think a commander would micro-manage each

of his teams.

It's really its own sort of system that would take far too long to get into, and while

I wasn't super happy with it at first, I did eventually come to understand and even

enjoy some of these battles, even if the difficulty could have been increased a bit for my liking.

And speaking of difficulty, I would be remiss to not mention that this game absolutely kicked

my butt, more than any other RPG in recent memory.

The difficulty walls within the game can sometimes hit you without warning.

I remember trying to start Geddoe's second chapter, which put me between a rock golem

and a mounted army that I absolutely could not handle without an hour or more of dedicated

grinding in a small section of the world map.

Earlier parts of the game expected me to somehow survive an onslaught from armor-clad knights

as Hugo during one of his earlier chapters.

I unfortunately missed out on a side-quest that would have helped to sufficiently level

my party.

Missing that quest resulted in the need to completely start the game over only a few

hours in.

Point is, what the game lacks in every other aspect, it makes up for in difficulty.

Navigation around the map was… well, navigating around a map, for the most part.

However, there are areas, representative of the grassland planes, which you will need

to navigate each time you wish to cross them, which will be very, very often.

Traveling from one end of the map to the next is easily the most tedious part of the entire

game, and turned what feels like a 30 hour game into a 60 hour behemoth.

The visuals of Suikoden III look like they're from a launch-title, despite being released

well into the lifespan of the PlayStation 2.

This is understandable though, as it was the first 3-dimensional game that this team had

worked on.

And I would be lying if I said that I didn't find the visuals to hold a certain charm of

their own.

The artists were clearly not aiming for photorealism, but weren't quite going for super-deformed

chibi characters either.

What we've got are character designs that mimic art you'd probably see in a shonen

anime that plays a little fast and loose with its version of anatomy.

The character portraits are all really nicely done, and their translation into three dimensions

was handled overall, quite competently.

And considering the scale of having to model 108 unique character models, I'd call that

an impressive feat for the time.

Character animations on the other hand all seem to be copied and pasted from one character

to the next.

Run and walk cycles are identical, everyone has the same shrug animation, and sometimes

unique animations are hastily done, where the only moving part of an entire characters

body might be the head, doing some strange loop of unnatural movement.

The one aspect of the series that did not falter in the transition to three dimensions

though is the music, which remained as competent as ever.

The boss battle themes are intense, the towns themes help build the world and set the tone,

and exploration within the game is accompanied by some great overworld themes.

A ton of the music is really catchy, and the rest just rests in the background where it

belongs.

And on that front, I have no complaints.

To describe the game in a single word, I'd say the game is clumsy.

But I don't think the game was bad by any stretch.

Clumsy the way a child might sculpt a pinch-pot for his or her parents.

It's by no means a masterpiece, but to the intended recipient it can be irreplaceable.

The transition to polygons came with pitfalls, which the inexperienced team fell victim to.

The attempt to create a dramatic story was a bit clumsy and didn't really sell the

overall story.

The battle system was changed in an attempt to be unique, but didn't really improve

the experience.

It's clumsy, but it's also heartfelt.

And that's what helps Suikoden III be greater than the sum of its parts.

Believe it or not, despite all of the negative things I had to say about the game, I came

away from it with an overall positive impression.

The game took chances, and while not all of them paid off, it still delivered a good experience.

The Suikoden series was the brain-child of Yoshitaka Murayama.

It was his design philosophy that shaped the series, his inspiration from which Suikoden

I and II arose.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to say that with no Murayama there would be no Suikoden.

Which is why it was so shocking to many fans to see him leave Konami, one month prior to

the release of Suikoden III.

For years, fans have speculated about the cause for his sudden and untimely departure.

Murayama stated in 2009 that his employment ended on good terms, that it was a personal

goal of his to work at Konami no more than 10 years before going freelance.

But one thing is for certain, after his departure from Konami, Suikoden has never been the same.

But while Murayama was involved he was able to craft a trilogy of unique, politically-driven

war RPGs the likes of which have yet to be replicated anywhere else.

And that's why each of these games have easily earned a spot, in The Game Collection!

Nikon D850 - Review and Sample Photos - Duration: 8:47.

Hi guys, Shawn here from digiDIRECT. Today

we're going to be checking out the new

Nikon d850. Now, I'm sure you've heard a

lot about this camera, there's been a ton

of buzz around it and it literally flew

off the shelves when it came out earlier

this month. This is really aimed

squarely at the working professional -

there's a lot of high-end performance in

this camera. It also takes a lot of cues

and features from the very popular at D500,

which Nikon came out with recently

as well. We'll go through all these features,

but without any further ado

let's start with a look at the body of

the camera. Form-wise there's not too

many surprises here, it looks very

similar to a lot of full-frame cameras

Nikon have put out in the past. It's a

fully weather-sealed camera and it has a

very solid feel to it - a nice weight to

the camera. There's a really nice deep grip

that's very comfortable to hold even if

you've got larger hands. Even if

there's a weighty lens on the

front it's going to give you some

nice leverage, so that's

excellent.

One unique point, here we have the

addition of a tilting LCD screen which

is going to allow you to shoot

from high or low angles. This is really

nice, and very hard to find on a

full-frame DSLR. It's also a

touchscreen, which is also something new in

this range for Nikon, so that's a nice

addition. We also gain a joystick - we saw

that on the D500 but it was not on the

D810. This allows you to quickly and

effectively change your AF point. The

viewfinder is also very nice and large

and it features a 0.75x

magnification - it looks really nice. Other

than that we see a lot of similarities

here in the button layout. We've got a

couple customisable function buttons, the

top LCD screen, our drive selector - all

things that we're used to seeing on Nikon

full-frame cameras. On the side we have

an HDMI and USB port as well as a

mic and headphone jack, and on the front

we have a remote and a flash port. On

the other side we have slots for an

XQD card and an SD card, and you

can of course save your files to these

separately. At the bottom we have

our EN-EL15a battery, and that's rated

for 1840 shots on

this camera - that's quite a good battery

rating. Note there is also a battery grip

you can get for this camera. We also do

have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability on

this camera and therefore Nikon SnapBridge

capability, which is something that we've

seen in a number of recent Nikon cameras.

So the first thing spec-wise

Nikon has done here is up the sensor

resolution game. This camera has a 45

megapixel sensor inside of it with no

low-pass filter. That's a ton of

resolution, and that's approaching

the top of

what you'd be able to get without going

to a medium format camera. That's going to

be great for a lot of different styles

of photography - landscape photographers

in particular are really going to like this

because you always want more resolution

when you're shooting landscape. It's

going to allow you to crop in

quite a bit with your files so you can be

a lot more flexible with them. It will also

allow you to blow up huge prints if you

need. So a lot of different uses for that

extra resolution, although it is going to

mean that the file sizes coming out of

this camera are going to be quite a bit

larger than on a camera with

a much lower resolution, so it's going

take up more space on your SD card or in

your computer. Luckily Nikon has included

a half RAW mode that actually shoots

a 25 megapixel shot or even

lower if you don't need the

full resolution you want to save on some

space. They've also added an electronic

shutter mode on here which essentially

gives you a silent shooting mode if

you're somewhere where you have to be

quiet like perhaps of wedding ceremony.

It also means that you can shoot

without having any mirror shake at all.

Now don't get me wrong, the mirror

damping on in this camera is quite good,

you're not going to see a lot of shutter

shock. BUT, with 45 megapixels, if you

really want to make sure you're

getting the absolute most out of that,

chuck this on a tripod in electronic

shutter mode and you're going to make sure

that you're maximising that

resolution. They've also given a

low ISO mode of 64 on this camera, so

you can shoot at a very very low ISO.

That's great if you're shooting in a

bright environment - especially if you're

shooting video and you want to maintain

that 1/50th shutter speed or thereabouts

when it's bright outside and you maybe

don't have ND filters. It just gives you

a little bit more flexibility, which is

always handy to have. So let's talk about

the autofocus system here because

this is where this camera really gets

serious. It inherits the 153

point autofocus system that

was on the D5 - this is just hands-down

one of the best and most effective auto

focusing systems on the market. It's a

definite upgrade over the 51-point

autofocus system that was on the D810.

It also gains the 3D Tracking

functionality that was in the D5 and

the D500. This system is fast, its

responsive, and it's accurate - it's almost

impossible to take an out-of-focus photo

with this camera. Take a look at some of

these bird shots. Now, these are not good

photos, but what I was doing here is

basically shooting from the hip

without looking at the viewfinder - quick

drawing the camera up and just pointing

at the subject as it was flying past

just to see how fast it could grab focus

and keep it. You'll notice, all of these shots are in

focus! It's amazing at keeping

focused, amazing at tracking focus.

If you have a subject coming

towards you, which is traditionally very

difficult for cameras to keep track of,

it's just with it the whole way. If

you're shooting any kind of sports or

action this camera is going to absolutely

do it for you. For low-light shooters the

autofocus system is effective at up to

negative 4EV, so if you're shooting in

dark environments like a wedding

reception hall or a concert,

that's still going to work for you. It has a

7 frames per second burst shooting rate -

that actually goes up to 9 frames per

second if you have the battery grip on

there - so it's a quite fast burst

shooting rate. You have a buffer of

51 RAW photos, so you can shoot for

about seven seconds straight before you

fill up the buffer. That's pretty

impressive considering that this is

shooting 45 megapixels shots. Obviously

if you jump down to half RAW or JPEG that

buffer size is going to increase. So

it's excellent for action, lots of

fast shooting options, and excellent auto

focus tracking. The only area where it

falls a little bit down from that is

when you're auto focusing in live view.

There is a noticeable performance

decrease when you're shooting

in Live View, which includes

the electronic shutter or also autofocus

for video. It's not quite up to snuff for

those capabilities. But for most of these

situations where you're shooting a lot of

fast action you're probably going to be

using the viewfinder anyway, so that's

not a huge thing but just be aware of it.

But overall an exceptionally high

quality autofocus system here on the D850.

Looking at video now, the D850 is

actually a surprisingly capable video

camera. I say "surprisingly" because

Nikon is not generally well known

for their video performance. But the

camera can shoot 4k video with a full

sensor readout, which is excellent.

You also can go into a crop mode which

can still shoot full 4K video - that's

handy if you need a little bit of extra

reach, maybe you have a prime lens and you

can't move the camera, chuck it into

crop mode you'll get a little bit extra

telephoto reach out. Both regular and crop mode

are 4K, both of them are really

nice, crisp, high-quality video, so that's

excellent.

It also can shoot 1080p at up to 120

frames per second. Now, like most

cameras, as you increase the frame rate

the video gets a little bit softer, but

even at 120 fps it's still pretty good. This

let's you get some nice slow-mo footage

which is excellent as well and very handy to

have. The camera has 8K time-lapse, which

is great although I will note that in

this mode it does not put the time-lapse

together for you in-camera, you do have

to take the photos to your editor and

make the time-lapse yourself. It has a

mic and headphone jack, so you can attach

an external microphone and monitor that

audio with no issues, that's excellent.

They've added focus peaking in here but

strangely it's only for 1080p - you can't

use the focus peaking in 4K. That's a bit

of a strange gap in the feature set,

especially since in 4k you've got that

higher resolution and you really want to

make sure you're in focus……and you don't

have focus peaking. So that's a little

bit weird. It does have a flat picture

profile which will give you a bit of a

lower contrast image which is

better for grading, but it's not like an

S-LOG or a V-LOG profile. It's not a

profile that's ABSOLUTELY

really meant for colour grading.

Overall this is very strong performance

in video from a company that's really

not known for that, so I'm glad to see

them trying to up their game in that

area. If you're primarily a stills

photographer but you have to

occasionally shoot video, this

is going to be excellent. You can shoot

really nice high-resolution footage,

slow-mo, a nice feature set, time lapse as

well - really it's going to do it

for you. If you are looking for a camera

PRIMARILY for video though, I would still look

elsewhere as there's still other better

options on the market. But like I said, it

has come a long way and is definitely

certainly very competent. So there's very

little that I can fault the D850 for here,

and it's obvious why it's had all that

buzz around it. It's a well-built camera

that takes exceptionally sharp and

high-resolution photos, it has an

amazing autofocus system inside of it

and very good video features as well. I

think this is going to be a workhorse

camera if you're a working professional.

It's got something for all different

genres - landscape shooters,

wedding, portraits, sports shooters. Really

a well-rounded camera that excels

in almost every aspect. The one caveat I

will say is that this is obviously not

an inexpensive camera, so you're paying

for that performance. But for someone who

is making their living from their their

photography it's an absolutely a

worthwhile investment and I think it

will not disappoint.

Audi RS5 2017 review - Duration: 8:52.

13,000 of the previous RS5 were sold. That was the first generation RS5.

There is no similar Audi coupe, so I wonder what people bought before.

Doesn't matter, this is the new RS5. I think it's beautiful.

This color, Sonoma Green, is exclusive for the RS models.

When you say "a dark green RS5", no one would think that's nice, but it is.

I've seen the A5, S5, and S5 Sportback and they're looking good, just like the previous A5 generation.

They're sportier than an A4.

The RS5 is the absolute best. This is what everyone wants.

They're using the old engine philosophy.

In the late '90s... The S4 I had too and RS4...

A V6 with two turbos and lots of torque and power.

After this, the S4, RS4, S5, and RS5 with a naturally aspirated V8 were introduced.

It sounded wonderful and it was fast enough, but its character was different.

Now, with downsizing, we have returned to the V6 with two turbos.

This engine is different than the one in the S5. You'd think the RS5 has a more powerful version.

This is a 2.9 engine with 444 hp; the same as the previous RS5.

600 Nm (443 lb ft) torque. That's 170 Nm (125 lb ft) more and of course lower rpm. You feel this.

Of course it has AWD, which means this is the fastest of the famed three on 0-100 kph (62 mph).

We're talking about the M4 (not the M3) and the C63 coupe (including the S).

This is the only one that does it below 4 seconds with 3.9 seconds.

The top speed is 250 kph (155 mph), but if you pay Audi 2,100 euros...

Come on, guys. You'll get to do 280 kph (174 mph).

I think it's not very enthusiastic about accelerating over 230 kph (143 mph).

Maybe I'm spoiled, but I've driven faster cars.

Another advantage of the V6 engine is that it's 31 kg (68 lb) lighter.

This generation RS5 is 60 kg (132 lb) lighter than the previous one.

The front and rear axles are lighter and the use of aluminum and stronger steel make it lighter.

A carbon roof is optional, but it won't have a sunroof. That saves 3 kg (7 lb).

Forged wheels are 8 kg (18 lb) lighter. Ceramic brakes are another 8 kg (18 lb) lighter.

You can keep going like that. What kind of car is this?

If you know nothing and you see the M4, C63, and RS5 parked next to each other,

these cars seem to match. Yet, they don't.

This is the only one with AWD and it's more point and squirt.

You can drive it fast everywhere and I dare to everywhere.

Certain professions love the S and RS models.

Everything is easy. It's easy to drive fast. Really fast.

The car invites you to do this.

It does stay neutral for a long time. This gives you confidence.

Most power goes to the rear axle. 60% to the rear and 40% to the front.

This can vary depending on what you're doing.

On a more slippery surface... We don't have snow to try it on, but you feel the rear do something.

There is no boring understeer. It's fun.

It's more fun than the previous RS5, which is too neutral.

Another interesting thing is that the S and RS models have no double-clutch S tronic.

The RS5 too has a normal automatic transmission.

The 8-speed automatic transmission functions well, but on the highway in Comfort it's indecisive.

It thinks before going down a few gears to accelerate, but you can use the flappy pedals.

I felt this was easier with the S5. I don't know why.

The engine is more powerful, so it should be easier.

The interior is typically Audi.

On the one hand it's brilliant, on the other... I've driven recent Audis and you get used to it.

The RS5 isn't very special. There are no fun tricks.

There's red stitching in black leather, but this is available for the base model A5 too.

It's fun, but I think it's not very well done. The Audi Virtual Cockpit has a special RS mode.

You'd expect it to be special with its power meter, but it's not spectacular with a wow effect.

It's not much cooler than before.

The RS5 shows a new design language for the Audi RS models.

It was inspired by the Audi 90 IMSA, a real race car.

The wheel arches and single-frame grille are wider.

This is 1 of the 10 air intakes up front.

You can count them. I will conclude with the price.

Yes, it's big. We're used to that with these models. It's in line with the price of an M4 or C63 S.

I'll read the exact price of this car. I can because the Audi RS5 has 30 assist systems.

It's filled to the brim. I'm not going to include it in this video, but I can do this safely.

172,701 euros. Prices start at 116,400 euros.

Is that a lot of money? Yes. Is it a cool car? Yes. It's very pretty.

The sound is a bit tame from the outside.

I think it sounds good inside, though.

It's very fast. Maybe we should use launch control again.

There's a speed bump over there, but that doesn't matter.

2018 Honda Accord - Review and Road Test - Duration: 8:56.

I'm not going to dance around it the 10th generation Honda Accord is awesome

not perfect but awesome

that awesomeness begins outside in the pantheon of Honda Accords this might be

the coolest the fastback profile looks substantive and sporty while the front

has an imposing modern presence it also looks like it has a unibrow

but the Accords got the swagger to pull it off creep inside and the design is

less radical but still attractive in an unpretentious kind of way interior

appointments are soft in the right spots specifically where you'll be resting

your elbows and knees for a midsize sedan rear seat legroom is absurd I'm

not quite sure what to do with all of this and despite a sloping roofline

Headroom is good in all positions yes even the middle position I do have to

contend with a center tunnel right here but if I needed to yeah I can hang here

for a while the roofline does slightly hinder ingress and egress it might be

nice if the rear upper door materials matched the soft front doors and rear

passengers would appreciate some USB outlets but overall the back seats raise

few complaints there's not much to complain about up front here either the

layout is a monument of simplicity and functionality all the buttons and

controls are where you'd expect them to be they're clearly labeled you can see

them from the driver's seat and when you use them they feel nice listen to that

click yeah

I especially like how the HUD and trip buttons use a larger font since they're

further away ah sweet attention to detail for hauling gear the trunk

provides a healthy sixteen point seven cubic feet supported by a wide trunk

opening 60/40 split-folding seats and a good sized pass-through to the cabin

though the seats don't quite fold flat raising the Accords usability is a big

center console a deep USB adjacent storage area with optional wireless

phone charging and a driver's seat that offers a wide range of adjustability in

my case I can enjoy a commanding ninety three a relaxed eight and four with my

arms on the equal height armrests and unlike in many cars with the steering

wheel just at low like I like it there's no obstructions for the gauge cluster I

can see everything perfectly clearly regarding the gauge cluster its analog

on the right and digital on the left the digital portion looks sharp and is

effortlessly customizable to display the tech ometer audio and phone information

or supplemental navigation directions we'd be even more impressed if it also

showed apple carplay directions but were fans nonetheless

speaking of carplay it's available on all accords except the base trim

along with Android auto beyond smartphone integration Honda really has stepped up

its infotainment game a 7-inch unit is standard but most of course will come

with this vivid eight inch touchscreen I love the bright colourful clearly

distinguished icons how utterly intuitive it is to navigate and the fact

you can go to submenus with these physical buttons located around the

screen but mostly I love the fact that I'm not gonna have to complain about a

lack of knobs anymore

so my biggest concern the volume knob has finally been addressed but you might

be wondering how does the Honda Accord Drive

it drives really well the brake and throttle are both easy to modulate

interior noise is a distant Rumble visibility is good in all directions and

the rearview mirror is wide and matches the shape of the rear glass giving you

an excellent view rearward if you're being chased by the law for the record I

am NOT being chased by the law yet

when cruising the steering is as stable as a Clydesdale that rock-solid highway

demeanor is elevated by Lane keep assist which comes standard that makes it so

you almost don't have to steer all right the car is telling me apparently I do

have to steer for roads that curve the steering wheel lands in the Goldilocks

zone delivering the right amount of heft and direct predictable responses from

the chassis there are sporty-er sedans and there are

softer sedans but the Accord strikes a smart balance

between those conflicting demands elevating the latest Accords road

manners is a two mode adaptive damping system offered on the Touring trim able

to adjust its reactions 500 times per second the adaptive dampers deliver a

commendable ride that helps smooth undulating roadways at the same time the

Accord can be fitted with 19-inch wheels that look neat but degrade ride comfort

versus the standard 17 inchers as is now common Accord features a sport mode that

alter steering throttle and transmission behavior the sport mode also sharpens

the two mode damping system though in practice mid-corner bumps still caused

the Accord to wallow and bounce thankfully among sensible family cars

that qualifies this fun from the driver's seat a long hood and curved -

make it seem larger than it actually is but rest assured the Accord is perfectly

manageable dicing it up in parking lots would be even more manageable of Honda

offered a 360 degree camera system but as is the standard multi angle backup

camera and optional front and rear parking sensors do a good job informing

the driver of relevant hazards the Honda Accords turbocharged four-cylinder

engine lineup consists of a 1.5 liter that's powerful enough for most buyers

needs but there is also a 2 liter choosing the 2 liter brings enough lag

free instantaneous thrust that you probably want more in the demise of the

Accord v6 the 1.5 liter engine comes teamed with a continuously variable

transmission while the 2 liter is partnered with a 10 speed automatic that

aside from occasional light jerkiness in stop-and-go driving is transparent in

its operation amazingly either end can also be paired with a six-speed

manual transmission and Accord sport models yes

a manual you know that thing where you use your right arm and your left leg to

shift gears meet rounding out the powertrain line up is

the Accord Hybrid whose two motor hybrid powertrain and lithium-ion battery pack

deliver primo efficiency for a midsize sedan along with uncompromised trunk

accommodations a welcome break from previous Accord hybrids in competitively

priced base form the Accord LX includes dual zone automatic climate control LED

headlights eight airbags including front occupant knee airbags and Honda sensing

a suite of active safety aids including lane departure warning with active

steering pre-collision braking adaptive cruise control and even traffic sign

recognition one of the things that Honda sensing does really well is alert the

driver without scaring the driver in some systems all the sounds and lights

can be jarring but with Honda sensing you get a gentle yet assertive chime and

orange flashing to alert you that doom lies ahead but it's not going to

distract you from that doom

available on higher trims our heated front and rear seats leather a moonroof

and passive entry to accompany the standard push-button start but for

maximum indulgence choose the fancy Touring trim and includes goodies like a

helpful and easy to adjust head-up display ventilated front seats a 10

speaker premium audio system and he previously mentioned adaptive dampers

buying for your midsize sedan attention are the sporting and lovely to look at

Mazda 6 the easy driving and newly outrageous Toyota Camry and the stylish

value-packed Hyundai Sonata among a slew of others it's out of competition but

man the latest Accord sure is awesome

depending on your wants and needs there are plenty of good reasons to buy a

midsize sedan that is not the Honda Accord but if you AskMe which sedan is

best for the widest swath of the car buying public the tenth generation

Accord is an easy recommendation

sorry, Walker, a dreary name for a film that ought to be called Alien Mummy on Campus!

'What have I got that can compete with that?'

In a sequence that was apparently too expensive to actually film

'What is that?'

'Earthquake'

a wall falls down in King Tutankamen's tomb....

'Unbelievable.'

revealing a previously undiscovered chamber containing a sarcophagus and some dead folk

Naturally the Egyptians have no right to their own archaeology

and it ends up where a discovery of this magnitude belongs

some pissy little college where students can destroy it.

'You've been x-raying the raying the mummy with 10x the normal dose'

Hopefully their lecturer at least knows what he's talking about

'Which means the fella inside hasn't seen the light of day in approximately 2000 years'

other than thinking Tutankamen died 2000 years ago

'this may make him seem rather unattractive, but please remember he's been in there for 3000 years'

Still over 300 years out, but he's getting nearer.

But there's something mysterious about this sarcophagus

How did no one notice this earlier

'Probably a hidden compartment'

Hidden?! There's a drawer in the side!

'What's that green stuff? Mould?'

I don't know. Why not poke it and find out?

But this is small news compared to what happens next

The Mummy has gone, leaving the sarcophagus

Tombs aren't empty, they're pretty much defined by their contents.

'I'd have to agree with that'

Now the Mummy goes on the rampage

to get his jewellery back.

Hmm. Jedi Mummy this is.

'i swear you are such a dork sometimes.'

This is where the whole Mummy on campus thing ought to come good; we've got frat parties

that end in death

'Hey!'

make out sessions...

that end in death.

We've got a crusty dean

'I am going to close every frat house and search every room on campus'

The mummy even recreates a scene from Animal House!

while floating!

I wish I could say this represents the tone of the movie, but mostly it's dead serious,

'I'm sorry professor but with all due respect, we've got to have some basis in fact'

No, you don't - you've got a flying killer alien Mummy with jedi powers and a torch in his chest

have some fun with it!

'It's an unbelievable concept!'

It really is. I said earlier this should have been called Alien Mummy on Campus,

I was wrong, it should have been Alien Mummy on campus

'Meaning?'

I don't say this often, but this film isn't trashy enough. The opportunity for trash was there,

but they decided that a story about a Alien mummy stalking coeds deserved to be taken seriously

'No I don't think that scenario's going to hold water, Bruce'

The tone of the film is all over the shop

On the one hand it wants to be serious

'What a dismal thought'

on the other

'My brother used to build radios and I think he had diagrams lying around looked like that.'

Yes I'm sure a 3000 year old alien's circuit diagrams look just like your brother's crystal set

'I mean he couldn't have been building radios in ancient egypt'

You can have a film with peeping Mummies who open a branch of radio shack in the valley of the Kings,

but you can't then go all serious

'Maybe there's some way of turning this whole thing around'

Particularly at the end

When someone tries to hurt the alien, we get this dramatic bullet blocking dive.

'Shoot it!'

'Noooooooo!'

Did I say dramatic?

All very Close Encounters of the 3rd Dynasty,

but when ET went home he didn't leave behind two corpses and a man with an amputated hand.

'We look ridiculous'

Still, it does at least finish on a joke.

No.

'Absolutely not!'

But a remake is definitely overdue!
