News on Youtube Oct 3 2017

I'm Gary Bembridge I'm here in Barcelona I'm staying at the Eurostar Grand

Marina Hotel, and it's a great hotel. It's located very conveniently sort of

halfway between the cruise port and the famous Ramblas area. So it's a pretty

good location in all respects. So the hotel itself is billed as a five-star

hotel. It is a pretty big hotel, and one of the things that I do like about the

hotel a lot is the rooms. The rooms are absolutely enormous. I was staying in

Room 720, so obviously up on the seventh floor. As you come to the room you can

see it is huge! So there's this very long passage that is all done in wood. It

feels very sort of chic. And just on the left hand side, as you come in, is a

dressing room with hanging space area which also has the mini bar, has tea and coffee

making facilities and then also has this storage space and a large safe. Nice

big large safe, so you can put things like laptops and cameras, that kind of stuff

in. So that's a great size. As you head down the passageway towards the bed

area on the left hand side you then have the bathroom. The bathroom is split into two

areas. You have the double basins in one area (and I love double basins as you

probably know if you've watched any of my other videos!) and then in the other area

you have the toilet, the bidet and the bath - which is a stand-in shower bath. As

well you also get these branded toiletries as part of the overall package. So let's

go to take a look now at the bedroom area. So as you can see as you come to

the bedroom it is a nice big space. You have two beds

you know together. So there are two individual beds (so kind of twin beds) but

in my case there are in sort of a double bed configuration. Very comfortable beds

as well. Across on the side you have the dressing table /workspace area. The great

thing is on the positive side there are lots of plug sockets - but they're all

low down! So unlike sort of more modern hotels

where you've got things like USB charges and plugs which are up on the desk so

it's very easy to plug in chargers and laptops and those kind of things.

You have to scrabble down on the floor to plug those in. So there are lots of plugs but

they're not as conveniently located as they could be. You also have a

balcony. Now I didn't actually face outside, I've faced into a courtyard. On

the positive side though, while I had no view it was very quiet and very peaceful. So

there you are, this is room 720 at the Eurostar

Grand Marina Hotel. It's really in a great location. It's a quiet part of

Barcelona but it's within walking distance to the Maritime Museum and the Ramblas, and

it is walkable to the port. But if you've got things like suitcases or whatever and

you are so sailing in, or sailing out, you probably do need to get a taxi here as it's

probably too far to walk. So tI hope you found that helpful if you are

looking for a great hotel stay in Barcelona. And if you did I'd love it if

you "liked" the video, but even more importantly I'd love it if you

subscribed to the Tips For Travellers YouTube channel and you'll get much more

inspiration, advice and tips.

Las Vegas shooting: BREACH! shock moment police STORMED Stephen Paddock's hotel room

The audio published by captures the SWAT team's dialogue with HQ as they prepare to storm the room at the  hotel. Paddock is thought to have unleashed a hail of bullets from the room onto the crowd of thousands below.

The death toll currently stands at over 50 with some 400 people hospitalised.  An unidentified officer can be heard saying: "We just hit on the suspects door. I need everybody in that hallway to be aware of it and get back.

"We need to pop this and see if we get any type of response from this guy, to see if he's here or if he's actually moved somewhere else."   .

The response from HQ comes back: Copy. All units on the 32nd floor SWAT has an explosive breach. Everyone in the hallway needs to move back. All units move back.

The officer can be a heard saying: "Breach, breach, breach." An explosion is heard  Another officer then confirms: "One suspect down in 135, floor 32.

I have the floor."  Stephen Craig Paddock was a resident of Mesquite, Nevada, with no known terror connections. He was found in the room dead, having spent much of the weekend there, police say.

The Nevada native is believed to be a grandfather who lived with Marilou Danley in Babbling Brook Court. Records show Paddock lived in a three-year-old, £297,554 ($396,000) two-bedroom home in the tiny desert community of Mesquite.

The incident has been confirmed as the deadliest mass shooting in US history, surpassing the Orlando shooting at the Pulse nightclub in June 2016 when 49 people were killed.

Updating reporters on the incident, Joseph Lombardo, the sheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan police department, said: We are looking at in excess of 50 individuals dead and over 200 individuals injured.

Obviously this is a tragic incident and one that we have never experienced in this valley. My condolences go out to the loved ones.

Authorities located numerous firearms in Paddocks hotel room as investigations into the incident continue. Mr Lombardo continued: "All's we know is that they were rifles.

We are executing a search warrant on the room. "It is going to be a long and tedious investigation.

We are bringing in all the resources of the FBI to assist us in this investigation, in particular to their victim witness advocates and their CSI folks to help us process the scene and ensure that we are getting all the evidence that we can possibly obtain." Police have also said that Marilou Danley, a woman who is thought to have been his roommate, is no longer believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Aussie bloke 'staying in hotel room next to Las Vegas gunman' reveals terrifying moments

The gunman – named by police as Stephen Paddock – killed 58 people and injured 400 more when he unleashed thousands of bullets last night at the Route 91 country music festival on the Las Vegas strip.

Cops confirmed the 64-year-old was dead inside his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel – suggesting he killed himself.

Paddock, a white male with no criminal history, was described as a "local man" and a "lone wolf" by Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Brian Hodge claims he was staying in room 32134 in the hotel – next door to Paddock.

He told The Age: "There were people screaming and running.

We ran into a nearby hallway and ended up in the casino's kitchen.

"We could just hear bullets being fired and then we could see the bright lights of helicopters flying over the top of us.".

Brian said he saw SWAT teams descent on the hotel, saying: "They were in the full police gear and we could see torches and guns and they were yelling at everybody to 'stay down' or 'put their hands up'.

" He added that he was glad he hadn't made it back to his room.

Meanwhile, ISIS claims it was behind massacre despite cops confirming there are currently no links to terror.

US President Donald Trump described the shooting as "terrible" and said his sympathies are with those affected. .
