The Week in Review - 6 October 2017 - Duration: 1:22.
The UN and partners are appealing for more than $100 million to
step up humanitarian aid in the Caribbean. The region was hit by
back-to-back category 5 hurricanes. Secretary-General António Guterres heads
to Antigua, Barbuda and Dominica this weekend. Before leaving, he spoke about
combating climate change, which contributes to extreme weather.
We know that the world has the tools, the technologies and the wealth to address
climate change. But we must show more determination in moving towards a green,
clean and sustainable energy future. Once again, I urge countries to implement
the Paris agreement and with greater ambition.
A new plan was launched this week to tackle cholera around the world.
The goal is to reduce deaths by 90 per cent
by the year 2030. Cholera affects nearly
three million people every year. That - says the UN - is simply unacceptable.
The UN congratulated the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) on the
Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel honors an advocacy group that promotes the UN
Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

Review - Lego Minecraft: The Witch Hut (21133) - Duration: 6:28.
Hey everyone!
JAYSTEPHER with The Witch Hut
by Lego Minecraft.
Set number 21133
Contains 502 pieces.
Recommended building ages are 8 and up.
Looks like we have the witch
throwing her love potions at Alex.
Nice colorful box art.
Let's open this up.
Ready to go fight the witch.
Well the box could have been packed a bit better.
We have two instruction manuals
and five bags.
Four of them that are numbered.
Looks like a nice selection of parts.
Let's take a closer look at The Witch Hut.
First, let's take a look at the figures.
Off to the left we have the witch,
a pig in the middle,
and Alex on the right.
The torsos on the figures are printed
as well as the heads.
Alex is wearing an iron chest plate..
I like the detail for the witch.
She does look like the witch in Minecraft.
Here we have the witch's hut
and a portion of a swamp.
On the left, we have a chest.
Let's see what's inside the chest.
We have a gold sword,
some redstone,
and glowstone.
Looks like Alex has been busy collecting supplies from the witch.
We even have a brewery stand.
Here we have a slime.
The graphics on the slime are printed.
I like the oak trees
with the transparent green bricks.
We even have our orchids as well.
On the back,
we do have a knob that we can turn counterclockwise
to simulate the slime jumping up and down.
Pretty cool!
We have some sugarcane and some torches.
Here's the hut.
The top does open up,
and it swings out of the way.
In the interior we do have a cauldron and a crafting table.
This could have been made a bit more to scaled.
It is a nice setup.
Let's take a closer look.
We even have lily pads as well.
Alex is riding in a boat.
It's resting on some glider plates.
Here's the piggy and the witch.
Bouncy! Bouncy! Bouncy!
Here's a closeup of the mechanism.
I like the slime block elements.
Really nice.
This has a lot of detail
even with the oak trees with the vines.
Really nice!
Off to the left,
we have a Brick Separator to help with the build.
On the right we have a few studs,
plates,
and other various bricks
which may come in handy to enhance The Witch Hut
or for other Lego creations.
This concludes the review for
The Witch Hut by Lego Minecraft.
Set number 21133.
It is a nice large playable set.
You do get two figures
as well as a pig and slime.
There is no stickers which is a plus.
The only down side with this set
is that it retails for 59.99.
It seems a bit pricey for only having 502 pieces.
If the price were dropped a bit,
it would be a great set for any Lego Minecraft collector
or as a source for spare parts.
Thank you for watching!

MÉLENCHON ON CATALONIA, SPAIN AND THE ISSUE OF BORDERS (EXTRACT FROM WEEKLY REVIEW #41) - Duration: 15:53.
Hi! This is Weekly Review #41,
and there's a small but very important detail that changed... about me. Guess what!
Ok. Opening theme!
I'll start with the situation in Catalonia.
I'm not going to tell you that this is a simple issue when,
within a state composed of large autonomous communities,
an autonomous government decides to initiate a referendum on independence.
This procedure is not easy to accept because of the rules of the game,
and the rules of the game do not make the organization of this of kind referendum possible.
As a consequence, I am not about to approve of or condemn the decisions of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
But we the French are directly concerned about what is happening at our border.
And when Spain is concerned,
the French know that not worrying about what's happening there can be a real problem for them.
No, we cannot consider that what is going on beyond the Pyrenees is not of our business.
For instance, our refusal to intervene in favor of the republican government of Spain
during General Franco's coup cost us dearly afterwards.
The Popular Front government made a major historical mistake.
We should have helped the republican government.
Of course, the current situation is completely different,
I want to stress that fact because otherwise, I will be the subject of endlesstrials about my use of history.
History provides us with material for thinking.
And...
It helps us to avoid repeating mistakes.
There's one mistake we should not make: we should not believe that this is not of our business!
So we should get involved!
But how should we do it? That is the question.
Because Spain is our neighbor although we are not the same country.
That's a fact.
Mariano Rajoy's government—a right-wing government—
that only exists because of the abstention of the PSOE, their Socialist Party...
This is the only reason why Rajoy's goverment exists!
This governments is overwhelmed with corruption affairs, with cans of worms of all sorts...
And it let the situation in Catalonia develop so much that it is now irreversible,
and it ended up using harsh and violent methods that shocked everyone.
We can say that he made things worse with these kinds of method.
And so... We are facing this situation.
This government is incapable of facing a situation that —I must admit—can be considered to be very serious
when a part of the nation organizes a referendum on independence. It's not just any vote!
So, Spain is a monarchy,
and the monarchy's raison d'être is to be able to predominate over, as it were,
the variety of the peoples that make Spain, and to federate them.
And so, when I asked a question to Edouard Philippe, the Prime Minister, the other day in the National Assembly,
I said that this situation was a total political stalemate,
because the Spanish government was unable to deal with it.
We can't call this dealing with a situation: the situation is such that no one can see a way out.
And I added that the monarchy had failed in the unifying mission it inherited from Francoism.
I believe that everyone on the benches of this Assembly is shocked by this political stalemate.
The monarchy seems incapable of taking responsibility for the unifying function it inherited from Francoism.
And as usual, that's the way it always happens,
instead of answering my question —I suggested that France offer mediation—
he gave us a moving speech,
in which he explained to us that he was ten when the King, the former King, Juan Carlos,
intervened to stop Lieutenant Colonel Tejero's coup,
when he took the Assembly hostage.
Mister President Mélenchon, in 1981, I was ten,
in the month of February,
when the Spanish nation was the victim of an attempted coup.
I was a little boy.
I perfectly remember, and I think you remember too,
the monarchy's exemplary attitude concerning the return to the democratic order,
concerning the guarantee of a return to that democratic order,
And I think that all of us republicans remember that in 1981,
we remember well Juan Carlos's exemplary attitude.
Since he was ten, we are supposed to consider this a moving speech,
and since the King intervened, we are supposed to approve of the monarchy.
Curious isn't it?
Because we're French: in theory, we're not really into the Bourbons, but anyway,
Edouard Philippe is, and he felt the need to give me this answer, "King Juan Carlos did...".
That's not the issue! The issue is the current situation.
But too bad for him, Felipe Bourbon made an announcement on the evening of the same day
and instead of unfying the nation, he approved of Rajoy's government,
and criticized the Catalans for their unacceptable disloyalty, as he said.
Instead of giving a speech that enabled the country to overcome the deadlock,
he gave a speech that worsened the institutional stalemate.
As a consequence, I really liked the way my young comrade Alberto Garzón,
who is the secretary of the Spanish Communist Party,
answered him, calling him Felipe Bourbon
and ending his speech saying "long live the Republic!".
I guess this is not a surprise for you, but I have always been a supporter of the Republic in Spain,
I said it in a speech on a square in Toulouse in 2012,
and you can see that I'm wearing a flag of the Spanish Republic,
because I did not forget that we the republicans were only defeated because of a coup. OK?
The Spaniards did not bring a Bourbon to power, nor did the republicans,
General Franco did!
Now how could we deal with this situation?
First, we get involved.
We can and we must, in my opinion, offer mediation, since apparently no one is capable of doing it.
Neither the Prime Minister, who solves problems with police bats,
nor the Bourbon of Spain could do it,
he who immediately took a stand in favor of the repression and the deadlock in Spain.
I agree with what my friend Pablo Iglesias from Podemos said and did.
He organized meetings,
and he said they should open a constituent path.
I think that...
the only positive political way out for Spain is a constituent process.
I strongly believe that.
I mean, first of all, we must refuse using violence.
And, as hard as it might be,
there must be discussions about the organization of the Spanish state.
The history that led to this situation is a long one,
and the French have a responsibility in this history.
Many other countries in Europe completed their process of national integration,
it took a long time for countries like Italy, in 1860,
or like Germany, who went to war with us in 1870.
Spain never managed to complete a harmonious process of national integration,
To me, France has a responsibility in this situation,
because, when countries were builiding their national consciousness,
they were doing it in the period that surrounds the French Revolution
and the intervention of the French armies pretty much everywhere on the continent,
since we invaded pretty much everyone!
But the invasion of Spain had very serious political consequences
because the intervention of France, who imposed a King on Spain,
Joseph Bonaparte, Napoléon Bonaparte's brother,
turned everything upside down and blocked everything,
meaning that all the progressive currents, and nationalisms at the time were progressive,
since nationalisms at the time were always built in opposition to the King,
well they were all stopped and paralyzed.
And so, the Spanish nation then groped its way to find a method to make populations coexist,
populations that describe themselves as peoples with distinct languages, histories and interests.
This can be shocking to us the French, because we see the nation as a united state,
but we must start from reality.
We must remember that, to take examples from the Hispanic world,
as all the countries of Latin America built their independence from Spain,
their watchwords were those of the great French Revolution,
i.e. the Declaration of the Rights of Man, and the nation as it was defined by our revolution.
But all these nations are federal states, all of them!
And they became federal states after heated debates.
Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina are federal states.
Brazil is also a federal state.
In short, the biggest states of the continent are federal states,
and they maintained their unity, I'm not calling the unity of the states I just mentioned into question.
This is why we should look with favor on Podemos's proposition of a constituent path,
and we should see it as a pacific and positive way out.
I don't really know why they used such an expression...
but let us use it as such.
We the French must admit that we could face the issue of a constituent process.
We supported this idea at La France Insoumise
in order to put an end to the presidential monarchy of the Fifth Republic.
Honestly, I feel like most of our citizens do not realize the situation we're in.
French Polynesia's current status is closer to that of an associated state
than to the status of a department or of a regular oversea territory.
Similarly,
the government of New Caledonia, that is about to organize a referendum on independence,
has a special and peculiar status.
Moreover, in the future, if New Caledonia chose independence,
it could become an associated state to the French Republic, or a federated state.
I'm telling you about this because we'll have to make a choice about these situations.
Everyone knows my Jacobinic feelings,
but I never thought the nation was a straitjacket.
By definition, the nation is a free act of belonging.
The problem is the same in Corsica, we cannot shun this situation.
3 out of the 4 deputies of Corsica are separatists.
So?
We cannot address such a situation by telling ourselves "Let's wait, they'll change their mind!",
because they won't!
As a consequence, we must think.
Before we close this subject,
I'd like to show you that it's worth listening to the propositions of La France Insoumise.
During the presidential campaign,
I mentioned the possibility of a security conference about borders in Europe.
I even suggested a framework that already exists,
the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
And some people said "You want to change borders, but they're intangible!"
All the narrow-minded people that were available at the time barked "Borders are intangible!" in unison.
Yes of course, the intangibility of borders is the basis of the international order.
It's obvious!
But borders never stopped moving in Europe.
Not so long ago, the border between East and West Germany disappeared.
Not so long ago, a border was created between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Not so long ago, new borders have divided a federal state, Yugoslavia, into 7 different countries.
And today, the Scots would like to abolish the border with Europe that has been restored after Brexit,
and they think about their independence.
Similarly, the border between the North and the South of Ireland
had disappeared when they both joined the European Union, but Brexit restored it.
Other borders are or could be at stake in a more or less distant future.
Everyone knows that Flemish separatism is breaking up Belgium, another kingdom.
We clearly see how the Flemish want to undermine the Belgian state.
Once again, it is happening at our border, and we must have an opinion about it.
I want to repeat it,
we had better have a framework and a place to discuss the issue of borders pacifically rather than by force.
Now if the issue of borders arises in Catalonia,
and obviously it does with the issue of the autonomy of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in Barcelona...
If this issue arises, we will not settle it by force,
because other people already tried to do that. Francoism did.
Maybe he thought he had solved the problem, but as you can see, it reappeared.
Consequently, we had better have a place where we can discuss the issue of borders
in order to settle disputes pacifically when they come out.
This was all I had to say on the subject.

Nokia 8 Review: Solid But Unremarkable - Duration: 6:05.
Hey there, Alex here.
It's hard not to feel nostalgia for the Nokia brand.
After all it was the device so many of us grew up with.
The hypnotic clicking sound of these plastic keys,
and the nights spent texting the girl I had a crush on.
Of course we all grew up so quickly,
and the smartphone industry matured even quicker.
Before we knew it, the Nokia name faded into irrelevance.
HMD Global is hoping to change that though.
For those who have not seen my review of the budget Nokia 5 yet,
just know that it's a phone that I really like.
Today we're talking about the Nokia 8 though.
The first flagship device from the new Nokia.
Let's see if it's any good.
The Nokia 8's design can only be described as understated.
It's a simple, but solid slab of aluminium
that curves into the side and into the display.
If this sounds familiar, it's because the Nokia 5 has a pretty similar design.
It definitely feels like a premium phone.
The only thing that may be lacking a little is the IP54 rating,
which is just splash resistance rather than the full on water resistance like many other
flagship devices these days.
The front of the phone houses a really good looking 5.3" LCD panel with really great
outdoor visibility.
Oh, and this is a QHD panel which I kind of feel like it's an overkill for a screen this size.
It's still surrounded by bezels, but with a smaller screen size,
it actually doesn't look that bad.
I'm still not a fan of these capacitive buttons though.
The standard android buttons looks a little weird as capacitive buttons to me.
I also wished that the fingerprint sensor was a tiny bit faster at unlocking the phone.
Just so it's more in line with the great performance of the rest of the phone.
Being powered by the Snapdragon 835 with plenty of RAM, and a near stock Android software,
the performance of the phone expectedly good.
No matter whether it's the day to day stuff or playing games.
I still don't think it's quite as snappy as the OnePlus 5, but it's good enough.
Nokia also says that the phone has a better cooling system to keep the phone cool,
and it seems to be working.
Even with extended gaming sessions, I've never felt the phone get too warm.
Part of why I love these new Nokia devices is the software experience.
Other than just two of their own apps, and a few minor tweaks like the glance screen,
it's pretty much just stock Android, which you guys know I prefer.
Nokia also has been doing a great job with the monthly security patches.
For major updates, we'll just have to see how long it takes for this phone to get Android
Oreo.
I was a little concerned about the battery life seeing that it's just 3,090mAh, and it
has a QHD screen.
But it's actually not that bad.
I was able to get close to five hours of screen on time,
and that's with mostly mobile data.
That's better than what I was expecting it to be.
But of course,
I definitely wouldn't mind a thicker phone in exchange for a bigger battery.
One of the highlights of the phone are the Zeiss branded dual 13MP cameras on the back
of the phone.
One monochrome, the other a normal sensor.
Which should allow the phone to either combine the two sensors to create a better looking
image,
create a bokeh effect, or just shoot in monochrome for a more dramatic flair.
I've tried using both the sensors together, and compare it with just using the colour
sensor.
The results are not really that consistent.
Sometimes it looks better, sometimes it looks worst.
Sometime there's no visible difference.
So I ended up just using the single colour sensor most of the time.
The portrait mode does sort of works, but it's not the best looking effect I've seen.
What I really love though, is just shooting in monochrome mode.
Which sounds crazy since you can also just do a grayscale filter.
But it's just more fun for some reason.
However, I don't think the results looks better than Huawei's implementation on the P10.
We'll get to the image quality portion in a bit, cause I'll like to talk about the video
features too.
The basic video recording features are decent, with relatively good stabilisation and quality.
It comes with OZO audio technology that records audio in 360 degrees.
The fun part is actually the front camera which record 4K video as well,
which could be useful if you're a vlogger.
There is even a live broadcast feature which should make it really convenient to start
a live stream.
Then for the image quality part, just to get the front camera out of the way,
the 13MP shooter produces decent looking results in both good lighting and in low light.
You just have the hold the phone steady.
I'm actually quite happy with the main camera too.
I was able to get some pretty good looking results most of the time.
This is a camera that I would probably describe as having potential.
Because image quality wise, it does a lot of things right.
The image may seem a little softer, but that's probably because
other manufacturers tend to sharpen their images quite a bit.
Auto HDR is one area I wished was better too since
sometimes it doesn't kick in when I think it should.
But really the main problem is with the camera app,
one of the two apps by Nokia on this phone.
It's a slow and clunky interface, and is sometimes just annoying to use.
One time while trying to switch to the front camera, the app even crashed.
For a phone with a focus on camera capabilities,
a subpar camera app is really not acceptable.
But at least this is something that Nokia can still fix with a software update,
and they really need to do that.
What we have here with the Nokia 8 is a mostly solid flagship phone that I think will appeal
to Android purists.
It has top end specifications paired with a clean Android experience.
The design is really nice, and it checks a lot of boxes for a good smartphone.
But the only problem is that this is a space that is getting really competitive.
Not just from other companies like OnePlus or Motorola,
but also from Google themselves.
So while the Nokia 8 is a pretty nice phone, they need to do more if they want to stay
competitive in this market.
Or at least price their devices right.
Thanks for watching my review of the Nokia 8.
If you liked it be sure to give me a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel.
Thanks, and see you guys on the next one.

[ESP] BTS(방탄소년단) DNA MV [ENG SUB]REVIEW] - Duration: 2:00.
Today we are going to talk about BTS video, his new single DNA
Going to the locker room was not my favorite part of everything
but I did like it though despite not being my favorite
i think it was well handled for the context of the video
and that kind of thing it was quite well managed was not my favorite
but it was ok
Moving on to the song, initially the
I personally really liked the song it's an electronic song
I personally do not like these types of songs very much but in this specific song
I liked the way they handled it
I feel it was very good And I like it a lot
going now to the choreography is just as complicated as all his choreographies
only in this case I think it's a little bit more difficult than usual
but nevertheless it is very good very original same as all and I really liked it
Now moving to video clip i feel like too much color
there were many, many colors and more handled with clothes that are also very colorful
and more eyes that also like that
his eyes had some type of contact lens
which stood out much more than usual and the hair color also stood out different,
it was like a lot of color it was a color bomb in the whole video
but nevertheless I think it is very well managed Nonetheless
it's like a tonal palette
like phosphorescent or things like that
But I really liked it too
I personally liked the video
I recommend it I would show it to everyone I really liked the song. COW: BTS improves on each video

Beer Mistresses Review: Jacobins Kriek Max - Duration: 4:04.
So hey, another video, another milestone, this is the first time I've ever shot a video at night
Awesome
Good evening beer lovers. I'm Kathryn DeSinaasappelen, your beer mistress and today, we are trying this lambic beer
Jacobins Kriek Max
Let's go
This beer is brewed by Omar Vander Ghinst.
It is a company based in Kortrijk,
Which is really close to me!
It was founded in 1892 by
Rhemi Vander Ghinste
He bought a house with the brewery for his son Omar
This brewery is part of the Belgian family Brewers, and it's a big company that owns 16 brands
This beer is a mix of cherries and cranberry juice
It's a mixture of low and spontaneous fermentation
Which is then left to aid in oak barrels for 18 months.
It is 3.5% alcohol?
This beer has won 1 Gold World Beer Award.
Let's try the beer
This is my favorite beer cap that I've gotten so far!
I love this. This is adorable
Alright, so our beer is poured
I'm really liking this color. It looks like a ruby red pretty, ooh
This smells amazing
This is why we need smell-a-vision like somebody needs to get on that cause this
This needs to be shared with the world it smells good.
It smells candy flavored though, so that might be
an issue for some people
Let's try it smakelijk
All right, so
I read in my um research that this particular beer it's made with a mix of cranberries and cherries.
I can say that there is a really subtle cranberry taste that I can
Get from the beer
however. Um I'm gonna say that this taste like Jolly Ranchers
If Jolly Ranchers candy decided to branch out and make a beer
Like this is what I imagined the cherry flavored one would be
This is good. There's a slight little hop flavor that you have it like the very very end of an aftertaste
But overall I'd say it tastes like candy
I like candy,
but um I don't know
I miss the hop flavor
It's really sweet
It's all gone
Alright, this goes down really easy. I finished off the beer already see all gone.
Yeah, it's a really nice beer actually. I enjoyed that it went down really well
Alright, so this is really sweet, and I did like it
Obviously because I drank it so fast. I'd say if you're just starting off on your beer journey
This is a good beer to start with especially if you like sweet and candy things
I don't know. I'm starting to prefer beers that have more of like a hoppy taste to it
I'll give this 4 to 5
It's a good beer you should try it out
if you'd like to know more about the beer
I put the site's below there are two there's one that is dedicated just towards the beer and then there's a second one dedicated
to
The brewery who makes this beer
it's confusing
I know Belgium
the one dedicated to the beer is only available in Dutch in English
But the brewery site is available in Dutch English and French

BLADE RUNNER 2049 (2017) - One Minute Movie Review - Duration: 1:24.
Bladerunner 2049 is the highly anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott's
1982 masterpiece this follow-ups directed by Dennis Villanueva who gained
critical acclaim from his 2016 film the arrival Ryan Gosling stars as "K" a
young Blade Runner who stumbles on a dark secret that leaves into Harrison
Ford's character Rick Deckard, a retired Blade Runner that's been in hiding for
the last 30 years. I don't want to talk too much about the plot because I don't want to
spoil anything but I will say if you're a Blade Runner fan you're probably gonna
love this movie. like the first one, this entire film is loaded with the jaw-dropping
almost dreamlike settings visual effects and brutal action. and it's all tied
elegantly together with a brilliant score by legendary composer Hans Zimmer
this Blade Runner world isn't just a visual feast
it feels alive and it has the complexity that we don't see very often on the big
screen. but I will say this movie isn't for everyone at 2 hours and 43 minutes
it doesn't move very fast but neither did its predecessor, but there's no doubt
that Blade Runner 2049 is the best sci-fi movie of the year. Both Gosling
and Ford give award worthy performances the film's thought-provoking and
visually thrilling and in my opinion it's one of the best sequels made in the
last few years that's why I give Blade Runner 2049 a 5
