Verb Tenses: Simple Past - Duration: 2:51.

In this short lecture, we'll be discussing the simple past tense. So, let's first

talk about forming the past tense. The general rule is to add '-ed' to the end of

the verb. For example, we have the verbs 'analyze,' 'acquire,' 'benefit,' 'consist,' and they

turn into 'analyzed,' 'acquired,' 'benefited,' 'consisted.' We add '-ed' to form the past

tense form. And then we have the verbs that have irregular past forms, so for

example, we have 'eat-ate,' 'tell-told,' 'hit- hit,' 'write-wrote.' So you can see that with

the irregular past forms, we don't add '-ed.' They have forms that are not following

any kind of rule, so for these irregular past verbs you just need to remember the

form. Some things you should know, academic verbs usually follow the

regular past tense add '-ed' rule most of the time, so if you look at this list again

right here these words are all actually academic words, and as you can see they

follow the regular add '-ed' rule for making past tense. On the other hand, we have

these basic everyday English verbs such as 'eat,' 'tell,' 'hit,' and 'write,' and you can see

that they follow irregular past forms. So, again

academic words are actually easier when it comes to forming the past tense than

the basic everyday English words. Now, what does the simple past mean? The

simple past is used when we want to describe actions or events that began

and ended in the past. So, we have some example sentences here. We have 'The

students finished to exam early." You see that 'finish' follows the add '-ed' rule. 'It

took many years for the iPhone to be developed.' 'The Battle of Puebla occurred

on May 5th 1862.' So, we actually have a date in the past, so this battle started

in the past and ended in the past. And finally we have the fact,

'Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States.' He was the president

in the past, and his time as president also ended in the past. So, if we look at

this chart this is basically a summary of the past tense. The rule to form the

past tense usually is to have a verb, you add '-ed- or it's an irregular past. And also

if we look at this timeline, you can see we have the present right here, this X

represents the simple past, something that started and ended in the past.

Verb Tenses: Simple Present - Duration: 3:09.

In this short video, we'll be discussing simple present. So, let's first talk about

the meanings of simple present. There're six basic meanings for the use of simple

present tense. We have personal habits, generalizations, present time, future time,

future time in adverbial clauses, and also future time in conditional clauses,

but for this short lecture, we're going to only be talking about personal habits

and generalizations. And, that's because personal habits are something you talk

about regularly, and generalizations are very important when you're doing

academic writing, so for writing a college essay or university essay

generalizations in simple present are very important. So, let's take a look at

personal habits first. So, when we talk about personal habits we're talking

about the habits and routines of a specific person. So, for example, we have

'She always drinks coffee in the morning.' 'Drinks' is in simple present tense. 'I

often take the bus to campus.' The verb 'take' is in simple present, and finally

'They eat lunch together every Monday and Wednesday," so 'eat' is in

simple present. So, we can see that these are all example sentences showing habits

and routines. I also want you to take a look at these three boxes. These three

boxes show frequency, and often times when we use the simple present to talk

about personal habits or routines we use a phrase or an adverb to show frequency.

In this case, we have 'always,' 'often,' and then 'every Monday and

Wednesday.' We also use simple present tense for generalizations, and

generalizations are facts that are true in general, so for example, 'Water freezes

at zero degrees Celsius.' It's a fact. 'There are over 7,000 languages in the

world.' and

'Smoking causes lung cancer.' So you can see that we're using present tense for

all of these verbs. And, lastly 'Children acquire new languages more quickly and

more easily than adults,' again in simple present. So, this is a kind of a summary

chart of simple present. When we want to form simple present, we use the verb plus

-S or -ES only if it's in third-person; otherwise, we just use the base form of

the verb, and if we look at this graph right here, you see that the there are

X's that start in the past. They go to the present, and they continue into the

future, so this is a visual representation of simple present. Simple

present is not only talking about right now. It's talking about 'always.'

Volume Rise: clean and simple with Limiters (Sous-titres Français!!!) - Duration: 6:28.

hello people and welcome to my new tutorial today we're gonna be talking

about signal processing, we're gonna be bringing up volume without any clipping

and without any distortion, let's do it

first we're going to be using a glue

compressor native from Ableton and we're gonna choose the part of the song

which is the loudest, which has like percussions bass and melodies all

together, that portion will be it

The glue compressor: you put the

attack as late as possible, the release has quick as possible then you can now

reduce your threshold until the little needle is pumping, pumping pumping

pumping here, yeap pumping here, that's it

We don't want to apply too much of compression to the signal because we're not mastering

the song we're just bringing up the volume, so now let's talk about this guys here

three little guys limiters from Fabfilter, three of them why

three of them? because one is a bit too brutal you need three to take the volume

smoothly up

So let's switch them on, on and on, so output -2dB

Output of the second one - 1dB, and last one -0.01dB because I don't want the volume to go over zero dB I just wanna

keep it slightly underneath like here we have it, so now let's bring up the volume

with the gain, first one give it +5dB

that is okay, you can see in red the gain reduction here five and then

and about 3dB here you can see the limit here and the last one give it

2dB... maybe slightly more yeah that's

okay it's okay

so you can see the progressivity right?

smoothly always, give it here a little bit more maybe, that's it

okay and now you can listen the difference between now this song and the

other one, definitely you can hear the difference of volume right? It's

clean and smooth, one last thing if you wanna get it to time shift here you have

the algorithm all round is the one I use for the two first one here and here I

use "punchy" for the last one because it's electric music, it's psytrance, you can use it if

you play Techno, Drum&Bass, if you play rock music you would be using more

dynamic and classical music would be adding some colours to the sound with

"transference", "allround" is good pretty much all the time

ok ok, so now we have it we can stop this music rolling, okay

and we can compare, so now you export it, I'm not gonna do it here coz I did it before,

you export it and you check how it looks ,the spectrum is way

thicker and you can compare with one of your favorite artists the way they do their

volume raise or the way to the mastering this is Egorithmia, and the

spectrum looks pretty much the same , you can see right pretty much the same so

yeah you can say that we brought up the volume and now it's all working, it's tight, it's

clean and simple it's fast if you will need to send your music to any label

there you go you don't have to send it to a professional if you don't have any

money of course! you don't have to send to a professional if

you just want to make a simple upload on soundcloud, you can just do this,

otherwise if you're wanna take your music to the next level of course,

send it to a professional, that's it okay I hope it was helpful to you and

I'll see you later! Bye bye!

3 Flavors Mix #03 – Classic Horchata [Simple Full Flavor Diy E liquid Recipe] - Duration: 3:22.

Welcome back to another video, today I will be making another full flavor 3 ingredient

eliquid.

For this recipe I wanted to make something very creamy so I decided on a nice and very

smooth horchata recipe.

Horchata is a milk based drink usually sweetened and spiced with cinnamon and almond.

To get a similar taste for this vape I used capellas horchata as the base, this concentrate

tastes very similar to capellas vanilla custard but just with an additional touch of cinnamon

all together it makes a very mellow and rich cream flavor, then to create the vape body

I used cinnamon Danish swirl from capella again, this flavor adds a little more cinnamon

and thickness to the horchata, and for the last ingredient there is 1% of fresh cream

from flavourart to add a little more depth to the cream flavor and some extra sweetness

to the whole recipe.

When all three flavor are combined together they will make a nice traditional horchata

eliquid, this recipe is a plain slightly spiced horchata with a similar flavor to a commercial

horchata you would usually find sold in a bottle.

If you want to expend on this flavor, you can start with this recipe as your base and

then you can add more almonds, or pecan and hazelnuts in it but I will leave that up to

you.

Just with this recipe you will get a very creamy vape with just enough cinnamon for

the taste.

When you vape this eliquid you will taste mainly the cream on the inhale with a slightly

sweet aftertaste and on the exhale you will get the whole horchata flavor with all the

creams blended together with the cinnamon creating a nice rich vape with a thick body

and a full creamy flavor.

I would say I find this eliquid to be an excellent morning vape paired with a cup of coffee.

Now for steeping since this is a very creamy eliquid I would recommend at least a 2 weeks

steeping period.

You could let it steep only for a few days if you cant wait but at that point you might

find the cinnamon overwhelmingly strong so If you are planning for a fast steep maybe

reduce the cinnamon Danish down to 1%.

Now This recipe will only work with the capella horchata concetrate, I know that flavor apprentice

has one also but it's a very different approach and it wouldn't work the same way.

But the tfa cinnamon Danish would be a good alternative and would work in this case instead

of the cinnamon Danish swirl that is used.

If you make this recipe let me know how you like it, and if you have a horchata recipe

that you would like to share leave it below in a comment its always interesting seeing

different approaches to the same flavor.

Now I Hope you liked the recipe and Ill see you next time.

7 Simple Road Trip Life Hacks For Long Weekend | Bea Organized | Refinery29 - Duration: 3:33.

Hey, guys! Welcome back to Bea Organized.

You know how much I love the studio

but on today's episode,

we're going on a road trip.

Before we hit the road,

I'm going to go over a couple of tips

to help us make this

the best road trip ever.

But first,

we gotta figure out where we're going.

Just kidding.

It's the 21st century.

So if you have a smartphone,

it's a great tool to use when you're planning your trip.

The first app that I want to walk you through

is Google Maps.

I know that you've probably already used it before,

but I'm just gonna show you some

little features that will make a road trip

a lot easier.

Once you figured out your end destination

and you know the route you're going to take,

it's great to find pitstops or attractions

along the way to make your ride fun.

What's great about Google Maps

is you can save those locations into your phone

so when it's time to stop,

they're right there waiting for you.

The next app I want to show you is GasBuddy.

This is a great app if you're traveling on a budget.

This app shows you the nearest gas stations

on your route and more specifically,

which ones have the cheapest gas.

Using this app to me is a no-brainer.

You can't have a road trip without music.

The next app I'm going to show you is Spotify.

Now I know you may already have it,

but I want to show you a feature that you might

not be aware of.

And this feature is great

when you're traveling with friends.

It's called Collaborative Playlist.

What you can do is make a playlist,

send the link to all of your friends,

and they can each individually add their own music

to the playlist.

What you get is a soundtrack to

your trip that everybody loves.

So that's what you can do with your phone.

What I want to show you now

are some hacks that we can use for inside the car.

Instead of packing up room-temperature water bottles,

stick one or two in the freezer the night before.

You'll have instant ice packs

and once they thaw out, you'll have ice cold water.

Where do baking cups belong in a car?

I'll show you.

Drop these into your cup holders to catch loose change.

No one likes a messy car,

so bring along a portable trash bin.

All you need is a plastic container

and small trash bags and the trash is taken care of.

Now all we need is a car.

Where's the car?

Here we go.

Wait, is that the car?

Oh my gosh!

What is this?

Oh!

Guys, this road trip just got an upgrade.

For safety, use a 3M velcro strip

to secure the garbage can to the car.

Using rubber bands, secure your phone to the visor.

Now you can capture all those fun moments

right to your phone.

Alright, now all I need is my friends.

Alright, you guys ready to go?

—So ready to go! —Yeah, man.

Let's do this.

It's time to pull up your playlist and hit the road.

We finally made it to the beach.

Now all that's left to do is enjoy our destination.

That's what I call a successful summer road trip.

Thanks so much for watching guys.

Simple caffeine test on himself by Sean Siew - Duration: 5:14.

this is my daily routines or you can call it a weekly routine start from this

time and ends at this time almost every day I'm a morning person wakes up at

6:20 in the morning finish my exercise at 8:30 usually I start working at 9:00

until a short break at 1:00 then I'll continue my work until 6:30 in the

evening second break for dinner and the rest of the day I'll either chill around

with my family or work so usually I sleep at 10:30 to make sure that I get

enough for seven hours of sleep but sometimes I do feel tired after lunch

and after dinner I could barely focus on my work as you can see the color has

changed from yellow which was active, orange means about 50% or less energy

left, and red is completely shut down. It has been pretty good so far but on this

day 17th of August 2017 at this particular time at 10:30 p.m. I drank

coffee you see I'm not a coffee guy coffee was never the option but that

night I was able to stay up to 2:20 a.m. in the midnight I couldn't sleep that

night so I was thinking is it really that effective so why not I just give it

a try to see if really works so I only had 4 hours and 20 minutes of sleep that

night on the second day 18 August 2017 I wake

up in the morning at 6:20 a.m. exercise were lunch break were dinner break

chill and I take coffee at the exact time at again yesterday was 10:30 at

night what surprised me the most was I was really active in the entire day even

though I had four hours of sleep last night

I wasn't feeling tired or hoping for a nap and guess what I didn't go to bed

until 2:30 in the morning like yesterday the same thing four hours

and 20 minutes of sleep on the second night the same routine goes on on a

third day and fourth day or the fifth day was where the tiredness kicks in I

feel exhausted when I woke up in the morning I didn't have energy to exercise

and even work so I took a three hours of nap in the afternoon after lunch didn't

do any work at the 2:30 a.m. at a coffee at around 12:30 a.m. that night which

boosts me up to 4:00 in the morning so I only had two hours and 20 minutes of

sleep that night and I woke up at around 6:20 again the next day I was feeling

better right now on the fifth day there is no way I can work with that energy so

I decided to take three hours of nap again children after that and I fall

asleep at 11 p.m. that day until the next day 11 a.m. without any coffee

so this is the six days caffeine experiment the ideal sleeping

hours was eight hours a day times six equal to 48 hours sleep in six days but

myself usually had only 7 hours of sleep a day so makes 42 hours in 6 days

with the caffeine I had 19 hours and 40 minutes of sleep at night six

hours of nap during the last two days and 13 hours of sleep on the last day we

got caffeine adds up total of 38 hours and 40 minutes of sleep

roughly so if you compare to seven hours of sleep a day with the caffeine intake

you will have an extra of three hours to do the things that you want to do which

is great I think I mean there is no doubt that this is highly essential
