First round of Korea-U.S. trade deal amendment talks set for Jan. 5 in Washington - Duration: 2:22.

The trump administration gets its wish.

Ammendment of the existing South Korea- U.S. free trade deal.

Both sides are prepped and ready to start the process.

Round 1 of negotiations begin next week.

Cha Sang-mi zooms in on what to expect in Washington on January 5th.

Top negotiators from Korea's Trade Ministry and the U.S. Trade Representative will sit

down next Friday to begin negotiations over the amendment of the two countries' five-year-old

trade deal The first round of negotiations is set for

January 5th in Washington D.C. Korea's Ministry for Trade, Industry, and

Energy announced on Thursday that the revision is likely to be partial, as the U.S. hasn't

gone through all of the legal steps necessary for a full revision of the FTA.

In order to carry out a full revision of the trade deal, the U.S. would have had to follow

Trade Promotion Authority procedures such as stating its intentions to Congress ninety

days before the renegotiations begin.

The Trump administration wants to make amendments in multiple fields such as the automobile

and agro-livestock sectors in a bid to alleviate its goods trade deficit.

Seoul is seeking to protect sensitive sectors like agriculture while vying for what it calls

a 'mutually beneficial' deal.

The Korean government hasn't revealed what demands it'll make at the talks, but experts

say there are a few expected moves.

(ENGLISH) - "The Korean government seems to be interested

in weakening the Investor State Dispute Settlement - the ISDS - and weakening the conditions

to impose safeguards on American beef.

Some other cards that we can play are anti dumping."

Yet since Congress supports the U.S. anti dumping measures, the experts predict that

attacking the anti-dumping measures might be a somewhat dangerous move.

Korea's Trade Ministry in its report to the National Assembly last week, said that the

U.S. side is likely to request tariff adjustments to recover its trade imbalance.

The negotiations will be led by Korea's director general for FTA Negotiations Yoo Myung-hee

and U.S.'s Assistant Trade Representative Michael Beeman.

The representatives of Korea and the U.S. have already held two preliminary meetings

to arrange the amendment talks since the Moon and Trump administrations came into power

earlier this year.

How the banks won over Washington again - Duration: 4:14.

How the banks won over Washington again

A decade out from a cataclysmic Wall Street meltdown, banks are winning again in Washington.Less

than a decade after being blamed for fueling the worst financial crisis since the Great

Depression, banks are winning again in Washington.

The rebound for the lenders has been so remarkable that Republicans and Democrats in Congress

are pushing to scale back financial regulations imposed in the wake of the meltdown one

of the few areas where the two parties agree.

President Donald Trump, who once vowed not to let Wall Street get away with murder,

has dropped the demonizing campaign rhetoric and recruited industry veterans to his administration.

His Treasury Department has drawn up a series of recommendations for trimming the post-crisis

rule book.

Even the Federal Reserve, the top banking regulator, is working to relax safeguards.

Lawmakers and regulators are rethinking policies including loosening mortgage protections,

curtailing so-called stress tests that gauge how banks would fare during economic turmoil,

and simplifying capital requirements for smaller lenders.

Many of the proposals are targeted rollbacks rather than a wholesale repeal of regulations,

but they would have a meaningful impact on the industry.

Behind the shift is the intense focus by the Trump administration and GOP lawmakers on

boosting economic growth, a centerpiece of the campaign to enact the massive tax reform

legislation.

Trump said lightening up on the banks will spur lending and allow businesses to grow,

an argument that some analysts question but that the banking lobby has eagerly embraced.

"Banks aren't the winners," American Bankers Association President and CEO Rob Nichols

said of the new dynamic.

"The winners are the economies, clients, communities and American families buoyed by additional

economic growth that can be created through the banking system."

The deregulation drive comes as the U.S. nears the 10-year anniversary of the crisis, when

the federal government committed hundreds of billions of dollars to shore up the financial

system.

Congress then passed the landmark Dodd-Frank law in 2010, the most sweeping rewrite of

financial rules in seven decades.

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), the top Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, said banking

legislation that's moving through Congress showed there is a "collective amnesia" about

the crisis.

"People are going to look back, whether it's five years, 10 years or 15 years and say,

'This was the beginning of a massive deregulation scheme,'" Brown said.

Bank lobbyists say the government overreached.

"The pendulum swung way too far out of line because of the crisis, Independent Community

Bankers of America President and CEO Cam Fine said.

"The agencies became much too harsh and much too closed to banker concerns, and I think

youre going to see the pendulum swing back. Republican and Democratic lawmakers are echoing

the sentiment that the post-crisis rules need to reflect todays risks.

Senators from both parties have joined forces to deliver a bill that would streamline mortgage

and capital rules for small banks while also relaxing regulatory oversight of several large,

regional lenders.

The Senate Banking Committee approved the legislation earlier this month, and it probably

has enough support to become law next year.

One of the bill's co-sponsors, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), said he wasn't surprised that so

many Democrats were signing on to the legislation, viewing it as a way to boost smaller banks.

"They see what's going on in their communities and understand that Wall Street was the reason

we passed Dodd-Frank and it bled down to community banks and regional banks, he said.

Tester is among several moderate Democrats pressing ahead with the bill despite warnings

from Brown and others in their party that the rollbacks could endanger consumers.

At least 11 Senate Democrats are backing the bill, ensuring that it will not be obstructed

by a filibuster.

It's past time," said Tester, one of a number of Democrats up for reelection in red

states next November.

"It's too bad we didn't get this done four or five years ago.

But everything has its moment in time.

Suspicious Cloud Formation Over Washington Ranch Famous for UFO - Duration: 9:49.

Suspicious Cloud Formation Over Washington Ranch Famous for UFO Sightings

by Teresa L Yanaros,

In 1986, James Gilliland founded ECETI, which stands for Enlightened Contact With Extraterrestrial

Intelligence, a ranch in Trout Lake, Washington.

He had visions of the ranch while in Santa Cruz, California, and then divined on a map

where he needed to go.

Since settling on this plot of land in Trout Lake, Washington, Gilliland has built a community

of individuals devoted to connecting to extraterrestrial races and bringing truth to the masses.

Related Universal Law and Ascension, Fall of the Elite - Teresa Yanaros Interview with

James Gilliland (Video) He has his own radio show.

Listen to the most recent episode here: As You Wish Radio

The ranch sits at the base of Mt. Adams, and Gilliland has taken and compiled countless

photos and videos of unidentified objects and ships near the mountain.

A UFO appears with bright energy orbs above Mount Adams at ECETI Ranch.

ECETI Ranch is home to campgrounds, a conference center, medicine wheel, and boasts of sacred

ground that allegedly enables contact with inter-dimensional beings.

In July of 2017, I went to ECETI Ranch for the ECETI Conference and to see it for myself

and had some amazing experiences.

After participating in a meditation at the medicine wheel, I learned that Fade to Black

Radio show host Jimmy Church had a transformative soul-travel experience during the event, and

then his wife Rita took a picture that appeared to have captured a fold in dimensional space

on camera!

I documented this experience.

Watch it here:

ECETI Medicine Wheel - Portal to Another Dimension?

The group of us saw countless ships, unidentified objects and orbs sailing through the sky each

night, some of which appeared to come out of Mount Adams, and some of which actually

sat on the mountain and blinked all kinds of colors.

(For the haters out there who think it was drugs that caused us to see ships in the sky,

I can personally assure you that wasn't the case.

ECETI Ranch has a strict no alcohol/drug policy, in order to increase the potential for a collective

connection that would lead to higher states of expanded consciousness.

This improves the ability to actually draw down craft, according to seasoned residents

at the ranch.)

Jimmy Church shared interesting experiences after the fact on his radio show, and even

discussed a picture taken that appeared to show a hole that opened up on the side of

the mountain that was not there before.

Listen to the Fade to Black Episode Here:

Our guest tonight is James Gilliland of ECETI Ranch and we discuss the recent discovery

of an opening at the top of Mt. Adams...is this the hangar door that has been rumored

to exist on the mountain?

The discovery was made on June 30, 2017 during their conference by John Esch, one of the

attendees and was videoed and photographed over the next five days...what is going on?

I know, it's a lot to take in.

Inter-dimensional astral travel, unidentified ships sailing through American skies, and

hangar doors opening up on the side of Mount Adams?

Well get used to the charm of ECETI Ranch, because the evidence of something MORE than

what meets the eye being ever-present in the world around us continues to expand and present

itself every moment.

After all that we witnessed over the summer, it was only a matter of time before some other

intriguing sighting occurred and someone was able to actually capture it on camera.

During Christmas time this year, the ranch received a cheery and festive dose of snow.

How fun that the magic of the holidays took to the skies with this amazing and curious

cloud formation over the ranch?

When I asked Gilliland what he thought about the cloud formations, he responded:

Some cloud formations are lenticular clouds, and some are not.

The answer is internal, not external.

-James Gilliland Lenticular clouds are stationary clouds that

form in the troposphere, typically in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction.

They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer.

Here are some images that I pulled off of the internet so you can see some examples

of what people call lenticular clouds.

A special type of cloud is often mistaken for a UFO.

These clouds, known as lenticular clouds form above a mountain when a breeze creates

a number of standing waves on the downwind side of the mountain.

If the temperature is right the moisture will condense to produce a lens or saucer shaped

cloud.

These clouds can be dangerous for pilots of large planes who avoid flying over these planes

due to the turbulence above them.

According to Wikipedia, pilots of powered aircraft tend to avoid flying near lenticular

clouds because of the turbulence of the rotor systems that accompany them, but glider pilots

actively seek them out.

The precise location of the rising air mass is fairly easy to predict from the orientation

of the clouds.

"Wave lift" of this kind is often very smooth and strong, and enables gliders to soar to

remarkable altitudes and to great distances.

The debate between UFO enthusiasts and skeptics regarding lenticular clouds has been going

on for a while.

Back in 2015, following severe weather conditions in Texas and Oklahoma, 56 sightings of lenticular

clouds, sparked a debate on social media about what these "clouds" were.

A Texas citizen filed a report with MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), a non-profit organization

that investigates UFO sightings, in an attempt to understand what they were seeing in the

sky.

You can read the MUFON report here.

The person who filed the report described what his friends saw:

It looked like a cloud at first, but its appearance was circular and disappeared before their

[sic] eyes.

MUFON sent an investigator out to see what was going on.

Spoiler Alert: the MUFON chief investigator for Texas said he was sure the sighting was

a cloud and not a UFO.

"It will be cleared out as a lenticular cloud," -Fletcher Gray, MUFON Investigator

It seems as though the UFO hopefuls received a Hard NO on that one.

BUT.

I find it interesting that this "cloud" disappeared before the onlookers' eyes.

I wonder, given what James Gilliland of the ECETI Ranch said, if some of these formations

are more extraordinary than mere clouds.

Giorgio Piacenza, writer for Exonews.org, is passionate about the concept of looking

deeper into at least SOME of these cases of unidentified cloud-looking objects in the

sky.

Structured objects flying in ways that challenge Newtonian physics while sometimes producing

strange electromagnetic interference near airplanes when seen by experienced observers

under the sunlight cannot be seriously explained away as reflections, lenticular clouds or

the planet Venus.

-Giorgio Piacenza, Exonews Read the full article here.

He explains that we must consider the robust evidence that confirms an extraterrestrial

existence, which suggests that some of these cases of lenticular clouds are actually evidence

of something much more interesting.

My question is: why do these particular clouds cause turbulence in the air around them, and

why are these types of clouds in particular causing a disruption in the air current that

seems to discourage approach from other air craft?

Food for thought, but I digress.

Final Thoughts

James Gilliland said, "the answer is internal not external."

What I think he means by that is: we must assess the information that enters our field

of existence every day.

We choose what has meaning to us and we assign purpose to pieces of data every moment of

our lives.

What could be the implications of these craft masking themselves in the skies above our

planet?

For one, it means that we must consider the possibility that we are not alone on this

planet.

On the other hand, it means that we must consider the possibility that our own military and

government has technology which has not been disclosed to us.

Evidence and Proof - Case for a Secret Space Program

This brings up questions about how technologically advanced we ACTUALLY might be inside our own

civilization; we can start to ponder why the general public is being kept in the dark about

it.

We could be missing out on life-changing advancements that would catapult humanity to the next level

of evolution.

We must start considering these possibilities and remain vigilant about discerning the data

that enters our field of consciousness.

What are your thoughts?

Is the cloud formation that appeared over ECETI Ranch on December 24th a lenticular

cloud?

Or are we seeing evidence of something spectacular in our Earthly skies?

William Graham, Son of Washington Post Publisher Katharine Graham, Dies in Apparent Suicide

William Graham, son of legendary The Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham, died Dec. 20 at his Los Angeles home in an apparent suicide. He was 69.

The lawyer and philanthropist was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, his brother Donald Graham, who became publisher and chief executive of the newspaper when their mother stepped down in 1979, told The Washington Post.

According to his obituary, William graduated from Stanford University in 1970 before going on to study law at the University of California at Los Angeles.

He worked as an attorney at the Washington firm Williams & Connolly before moving to Los Angeles and teaching trial law at UCLA. He founded an investment firm, Graham Partners, and contributed to several philanthropic organizations.

William also served as a board member of the hospital in Martha's Vineyard, Mass., where he spent summers.

He is survived by his wife Sally Lasker Graham; two children from the second of his four marriages; his sister, The Washington Post senior associate editor Lally Weymouth and brothers Donald and Stephen Graham.

His grandfather, Eugene Meyer, bought the paper in 1933. It stayed within the family for 80 years before they sold it to Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos for $250 million in 2013.

William's father Phillip, who also served as publisher at The Washington Post, also committed suicide by shooting himself in 1963.

The death came just days before the release of the movie The Post, Steven Spielberg's new film chronicling the newspaper's fight with the government over the release of the Pentagon Papers.

Meryl Streep plays his mother Katharine in the movie, which was recently nominated for six Golden Globe awards.

Suspended Washington LB Azem Victor won't be returning to Huskies as he's signed with agent

Azeem Victor has indeed played his final down for the Washington Huskies. According to Adam Jude of the Seattle Times, Victor will not play in the Dec.

In fact, Jude tweeted, the linebacker has already signed with an NFL agent and has been working out in preparation for the April draft for several weeks now.

Victor was indefinitely suspended in mid-November after being arrested for driving under the influence. The senior was also suspended for the 2017 opener against Rutgers earlier this year.

A 2016 All-Pac-12 performer, Victor started the Huskies' first 10 games before being lost for the season with a broken leg, missing Washington's win in the Pac-12 championship game win and College Football Playoff loss to Alabama.

Still, Victor finished third on the team with 67 tackles to go with three TFLs, one pass defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Victor entered the 2017 season as a preseason All-American. Playing in nine games this year, Victor was credited with 30 tackles, three pass breakups, two sacks and two tackles for loss.

Overmatched Virginia has no answers as Navy woodsheds Hoos in Military Bowl rout. Navy began its 2017 season at a promising 5-0 before stumbling to a 1-6 finish to barely reach bowl eligibility.

The doom and gloom of the last half of the regular season, however, gave way to 2017 being put to bed on a positive note for the service academy.

After jumping out to a 28-7 halftime lead, Navy kept up that momentum throughout the second half in claiming an impressive 49-7 woodshedding of Virginia in the Military Bowl.

With the win, Ken Niumatalolo improved his record in bowl games to 5-4 as the Midshipmen claimed the Military Bowl, played on its home field, for the second time in three years.

Despite the win, Navy, at 7-6, did put the finishing touches on its worst season since going 5-7 in 2011.

That said, a punishing ground game — and their opponent's benevolence — ensured the service academy would head into the offseason with a record north of the .500 mark.

Coming into the game second in the country averaging 343 yards per game, the Midshipmen passed that average in the third quarter en route to putting up 452 yards on the ground.

Starting quarterback Malcolm Perry led the way with 114 yards rushing while adding a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Perry was injured early in the third quarter, however, and was replaced by the man he replaced as the starter, Zach Abey.

After rushing for a pair of first-half touchdowns, Abey added three more in the second half to give him a Military Bowl-record five and Player of the Game honors.

Abey ran for 88 yards, while Chris High chipped in with 101. All told, a whopping 10 Navy players were credited with at least one carry. Navy attempted just one pass in the contest, which fell incomplete.

Not that they needed the help, but the Midshipmen were greatly aided by three turnovers by the Cavaliers. Those three turnovers, incidentally, were turned into 21 points by Navy.

While not counting as a turnover officially, the Hoos also handed the ball back to the Midshipmen inside UVa.'s 25-yard line when their punter touched his knee to the ground prior to getting off a punt late in the third quarter.

Navy, of course, turned that into more points on Abey's fifth touchdown. Even when they maintained possession of the ball, UVa. couldn't do much with it.

Through three quarters of play, the Cavaliers managed just 138 yards of offense, including a woeful five yards on 14 carries; they would finish with a season-low 163 total yards and averaged 1.7 yards per rush attempt.

In fact, their only score of the game came when the opening kickoff of the first half was returned for a touchdown by Joe Reed.

Virginia finished the 2017 season at 6-7, the sixth straight seasons they've finished the year with a sub-.500 record. Their last winning season came in 2011 when Mike London went 8-5 in his second season in Charlottesville.

London's successor, Bronco Mendenhall, is now 8-17 as the Hoos head coach. Jeremy Pruitt reportedly adding Florida State DC to Tennessee staff.

Jeremy Pruitt is expected to add a very familiar face to his first Tennessee coaching staff. According to multiple media outlets, Pruitt is set to hire Charles Kelly as the Volunteers' defensive coordinator. As of yet, UT has not confirmed Kelly's addition.

Kelly served as the coordinator at Florida State from 2014 through the 2017 season. He did not follow Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M and wasn't going to be retained by Fisher's replacement, Willie Taggart.

Kelly joined Fisher's staff in Tallahassee as linebackers coach in 2013 before being promoted to coordinator the following season.

And the man he replaced? Pruitt, who left after the 2013 season for the same job at Georgia before moving on to Alabama. Prior to his time at FSU, Kelly spent seven seasons as an assistant at Georgia Tech.

Navy running through Virginia at halftime of Military Bowl.

Navy came into its Military Bowl matchup with Virginia losers of three in a row and six of its last seven. After 30 minutes of play, the Midshipmen appear to be headed back in the right, potentially winning direction.

Things didn't start out well for the service academy, however, as the Cavaliers' Joe Reed returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown.

That was it for the Hoos the remainder of the half as the Midshipmen hold a commanding 28-7 lead at the half in a bowl game being played in their own home stadium.

Navy scored on its first two offensive possessions in the first quarter, and both of the scores came (surprise!!!) on the ground.

Former starting quarterback Zach Abey scored from one yard out to knot the score at 7-all, while current starting quarterback Malcolm Perry found the end zone from 22 yards away with just over four minutes left in the opening stanza to give Navy its first lead of the contest.

After a lull that included just Navy's 17th three-and-out this season, Perry posted his second rushing touchdown on the afternoon, this one a 19-yarder, to push the lead into double digits.

Following a Virginia fumble on the ensuing possession, the Hoos' second turnover in the half, Abey scored his second rushing touchdown on a one-yard run to push the lead to three scores.

Navy, which came into the game second in the country averaging 343 yards a game on the ground, put up 264 first-half rushing yards on a Cavaliers defense that had almost no answer for that facet of the Midshipmen's offense.

In fact, that was the only facet of the service academy's offense as Navy once again didn't even attempt a pass. Eight different Navy players carried the ball at least once, with Perry leading the way with 109 yards on 14 attempts.

Conversely, the Cavaliers could do next to nothing offensively either on the ground or through the air. UVa.

managed just 79 yards of offense — 69 passing and 10 rushing. Quarterback Kurt Benkert struggled throughout, completing just 8-of-20 passes for all 69 of those passing yards and an interception.

Benkert came into the game averaging more than 250 yards per game through the air, and had thrown 26 touchdowns and eight picks. Navy will get the ball back to start the second half.
