4 Tips How To Identify An INTJ In Public - Duration: 5:55.
4 Tips How To Identify An INTJ In Public
As one of the rarest personality types in the Myers Briggs lineup, INTJs enjoy a special
status that often comes with being rare.
On top of that, INTJs are also introverts which makes them even harder to find since
they spend less time out in the open where most people graze.
They are very private individuals and prefer quiet environments with moderate human interaction.
They don't need much socializing when they can busy themselves with passion projects
and making progress toward big-picture plans.
Many people may be interested in meeting an INTJ in person or want to determine whether
someone they already know is one.
From a distance, it can be difficult to distinguish an INTJ from an INFJ or ISTJ.
You likely know a few INTJs without realizing it.
Here is a helpful list of signs to look for that will show you how to spot an INTJ wherever
you encounter them.
1 - INTJ at the Market
If you go to the supermarket, you can spot an INTJ by the efficiency with which they
shop.
They don't like to tarry or linger.
When they go to market they go with a clear purpose in mind.
They may carry a list with them or have thought out in advance with great detail, everything
they intend to buy.
Because they dislike being in crowded places any longer than necessary, they will waste
little time tracking down their target items and completing their errand as quickly and
painlessly as possible.
They grab and go, and avoid engaging anyone in chit chat along the way.
They carry themselves with a sense of mission and they seem to know exactly what they're
doing and where they're going.
If a salesperson approaches them they will likely be terse in their responses and say
whatever they need to encourage them to go away.
They avoid eye contact with other shoppers as they briskly make their way to checkout.
If it were feasible, they would do all their shopping online.
Bookstores are the only stores where they really can take their time and browse.
2 - Resting Bitch Face (a.k.a the "Death Stare")
If you've followed the Myers Briggs long enough you will likely have heard of the INTJ
"death stare" or their infamous "resting bitch face".
INTJs get asked "why so serious?" in one form or another by concerned or intimidated
colleagues and family members.
If you see someone who seems to have a perma-scowl as their default facial expression, they are
probably an INTJ.
In most cases, the INTJ's appearance of displeasure is nothing more than their "thinking
face".
You may spot them staring off in some direction during which they are probably just immersed
in deep mental processing.
If they are unaware that they are being watched, you may even catch them silently mouthing
words as though they were pantomiming a discussion with themselves.
Alternately, the INTJ death stare may also appear as a "deer in headlights" look
or "resting bitch face".
Each of these expressions may appear angry or perturbed but generally, there is no emotion
behind them.
INTJs are often unaware of how intense their expressions appear to others and do it without
consideration.
They mean nothing by it in most cases, they just get lost in such intense concentration
that they become unresponsive to what's around them.
Whatever they are staring at, they are not actually looking at, but looking through.
People and objects just happen to be in the line of their gaze.
INTJs rarely show their anger so most likely they are not mad.
3 - INTJs Like the Sound of Silence
INTJs are quiet and comfortable with saying nothing where others would be compelled to
disrupt the serenity with conversation.
INTJs have no problem keeping to themselves even while sharing a small space with another
person such as on a plane or bus.
They're comfortable with being alone and may not bother to hide themselves in their
cell phone or pretend to be doing something.
The INTJ is probably that person sitting by themselves with a resting bitch face.
Don't worry they're okay.
Out in public, INTJs try to blend in and float under the radar.
They actually like having friends who enjoy being the center of attention because they
would rather observe and learn.
The INTJ pairs well with ENFPs who can provide a social lubricant that helps INTJs meet and
get on with new people.
4 - INTJ Clothing Style
INTJs prefer utility and practicality in their wardrobe.
They are something of minimalists and less likely to be found wearing colorful peacock
clothing and fancy accessories.
Many of them have simple tastes wearing things like cargo pants and turtlenecks.
They like to dress in simple modest attire that looks orderly and respectable.
They like jeans and dark colors and black and white is probably their most preferred
colors.
Some may wear light but cold hues such as blue, and in many cases they may wear variations
of the same ensemble every day.
Their wardrobe choices tend to follow a consistent theme and is meant to avoid drawing excessive
attention.
As Judgers, INTJs are more likely to dress properly and may even be somewhat stylish
and edgy.
But as INTs, they are likely to be disconnected from the physical world and may fail to see
any point in "dressing to impress" so to speak.
It's a toss-up for this type, but they do tend to dress better than their gauche NTP
cousins.
All in all, that's The 4 Tips How To Identify An INTJ In Public.

2017 Key Partner Awards - Detroit Public Television - Duration: 1:52.
Hi I'm Julie Chapin and I'm one of the nominators for Detroit Public Television
for one of our key partner awards. The University signed an agreement in
January of 2016 and because of our common mission, Extension became the
point person for the University. Much of our work with them is focusing around
early childhood education and family engagement. So many different topics that
there are programming in that we can highlight our work in ways that really
help us to reach communities particularly in Southeast Michigan but
across the state of Michigan. with the work that Extension is doing.
Georgeann:>> I think the thing is we have these shared values about really helping the citizens
of Michigan and trying to address the needs of the community, and we have great
assets here at Detroit Public Television, the university has incredible assets
plus a lot of arms and legs to help us execute. So I think coming together only
allows both organizations to have a much greater impact than they can have on their own.
Rich:>> This partnership is so important to us and it's been great. It's
been a great ride, and when you think about who could do that - great thinking,
great extension services team, great public television station, who could do
it? Spartans Will. Of course always Spartans Will.
MSU you've been terrific to us, we're
excited to work with you, we can't thank you enough.
You're great folks and you're easy and fun folks to work with, so here's
to five more years, ten more years, and twenty more years of helping
citizens and parents and kids and everybody who's involved in making our
state better. Thanks

Personalized Learning in Marlboro Township Public Schools with ST Math - Duration: 1:47.
In 2017, taking teaching to the next level is really all about
individualizing learning for students. One way that we do that here in
Marlboro Township is the purposeful use of our digital tools.
And ST Math is one of our digital tools that fills an important gap, which other digital tools do not.
We have four pillars in our district: one is the use of digital tools,
the next is using data to drive instruction, the next is providing small group instruction,
and then allowing students to set their own learning goals.
What ST Math does for us is it provides the ability to have students progress
through the station rotation model both independently and in a small group.
And then the data that you can glean from it helps you to drive your instruction,
and you can also pass that information along to kids and have them look at their own data
and then to set their own goals and have them take ownership of their learning.
The reports are valuable because not only does it show us usage
for the children, it shows us how far they've progressed in the standards of
the curriculum. It also helps us to immediately indicate for students:
Did they struggle? Are they stuck at a particular level? The reports pretty much
pick up any deficit or problem that a child might have and helps us to figure
out how we're going to overcome that roadblock.
A program like ST Math allows
us to put children on an individual track and collect data and meet them
where they are, whether it's in an enrichment or remediation type situation.
Marlboro Township Public Schools utilize ST Math to personalize learning for each and every child in the classroom.

Should the public know when the government is taking public property? - Duration: 2:43.
- Most people would never imagine being forced
to sell their private property against their own will,
but the government makes this exact scenario happen
in the name of the greater public good.
The 5th amendment of the US Constitution
allows private property to be taken for public use
so long as just compensation is given.
The 14th amendment reaffirms this
and adds that due process of law
must be used in order for government to take property.
While public use was initially limited
to government functions that would benefit the public,
such as a new water or railway system,
the interpretation of what public use means
has expanded greatly over time.
For example, take the case
of Kelo versus City of New London, Connecticut.
Susette Kelo and her neighbors were told
that they had to move out of their homes
and find a new place to live
because the government would be using eminent domain
to forcefully buy their property from them.
The property was not going to be used
to build a school or public building,
but instead was intended to benefit
the expansion of Pfizer, a private drug company.
Susette challenged this taking in court
and ultimately lost in a five to four decision
before the US Supreme Court.
In their majority opinion, the five justices stated
that economic development was a good enough reason
to use eminent domain.
Government would be allowed to take people's property
in order to sell it off to other companies
that could increase the tax base.
This decision rightly outraged people across the country
which led to the Kelo Effect;
44 states passed laws or constitutional amendments
to increase private property protections
against the use of eminent domain.
Utah was one of those states.
The legislature has passed numerous laws since 2006,
enacting some strict rules for eminent domain.
But abuse can still happen.
Just last year in Salt Lake City,
the state lost a court case when they tried
to use eminent domain to take a person's land
to swap property with Rocky Mountain Power.
Where else and how often is this happening in Utah?
Do people know they have a right
to challenge eminent domain in court?
And is government only using eminent domain when it should?
All of these questions are difficult to answer
without easy to access information
regarding where, when, and how eminent domain
is being used in Utah.
In order to ensure the law is being fairly used
across the state, this information needs
to be made public.
Our property rights depend on it.

Investing in Tomorrow's Public Health Professionals, Today - Duration: 2:57.
So as the relatively new dean of the
School of Public Health,
having started just in February,
an important part of my job is to
try to alleviate
the economic burden of our students
who are obtaining their public health education.
Two of our immensely talented
students are Arsema Thomas
and Jonathan Rhodes
and they're going to share
with you what being
recipients of the alumni fund means
for their education.
So I plan on going back to Ethiopia
and working and partnering alongside the
Ethiopian government
and helping them enact
their journey towards universal health
coverage because the country is expansive
with a very populous country.
Their issue lies on accessing
people who live in rural areas who
aren't able to physically be in facilities.
And with this I plan on using
Mhealth,
which is mobile health,
and so had not been for the alumni fund,
I probably would not have been able
to attend Yale, in all honesty.
And it's because of that I'm able to
not only realize the breadth
of my interests
but also to watch
my goals
and my dreams manifest.
And so for that I'm extremely grateful.
This alumni fund is so important for students
like me.
The scholarships that it provides can really mean
the difference between studying here at
Yale School of Public Health
or not or even pursuing a health care
or not.
For me since being here it's opened up so
many doors. This summer I was able to
work as an intern
at the Cleveland Clinic
and the Cancer Institute
and I was working to work on variety projects
there,
working with operations,
in I.T.
And it really opened up so many doors for me
in the future I hope to be a health care leader
at a hospital along
with some of my other students here.
So I just wanted to thank you so much for your support
and the scholarships.
Arsema and Jonathan are just two
of our 450 students in the
school today immensely talented
future innovators,
caretakers,
public health practitioners,
scientists who will
transform public health in the 21st century.
We think the problems in public health are
absolutely immense,
and we're going to need
folks who bring in
the talents from multiple disciplines.
We'd love to combine
your resources
with that of thousands of other alumni
to support these students
and try to support the workforce of the
21st century.
Yale School of Public Health is a marvelous place.
We'd like to keep it affordable for our students
and with your support of the alumni fund,
we'll do exactly that.
Thank you very much.
