Hey, what's up guys and gals and welcome to another great product spotlight video from Mt Baker Vapor! And today
we're gonna be taking a look at a
brand new product on our website. Been available for a couple of weeks. Something that I'm sure you will all be very excited about.
The Vaporesso Swag Sarter Kit! For those of you that are a fan of the Pico
this is something that is very similar to that. So if you can't find Picos anymore, if you're in the market for a replacement one,
or you just want a simple upgrade Vaporesso Swag Kit is probably what you're looking for.
So why don't we go ahead and dive down and take a look at it.
Here is our up-close look at the Vaporesso Swag Kit. Let's go ahead and open up this pretty little box and see what's inside.
Inside our box
it looks like we have a piece of literature on how to choose the right coil modes. The Vaporesso
Swag Kit does have several modes that you can adjust your mod to use.
There is a variable wattage, a wattage curve mode, a bypass mode
three temperature control modes, as well as two temperature memory settings.
So you might want to give this a look if that's something that you're fairly new to. If you kind of have
experience then dive right on in but if not Vaporesso has been kind enough to break it down for you here on this little
chart.
Also, included in the package is
some extra o rings, an
extra Pyrex glass tube.
Inside the mod
or inside the tank, The NRG SE Tank, they have included the NRG
GT2 Core. So for those of you that are already using the Vaporesso
NRG Tank this is the NRG SE.
A little bit smaller edition here
but it does use the same coil, so feel free to interchange those. If you've got some lying around for your Vaporesso NRG
you can use them in here definitely!
And if you've ever been curious about ceramic quails they also included one of their C Cell coils.
It is a 0.5 ohm coil.
These do take a little bit longer to wick. In my experience I
haven't really tried the ones that Vaporesso offers, but I hear good things, so
you might want to give that a shot.
In the bottom of the box we have more literature. A very in-depth instruction guide on how to use your Vaporesso Swag Kit.
Vaporesso has been really great about providing these instruction manuals and they are very in-depth, so I suggest you give that a look.
More Vaporesso cards,
certificate of authenticity,
another instruction book and a USB cable that is pretty heavy-duty.
And this is pretty standard for all of their kits. Most of the Vaporesso kits
do come with a 2.5 amp quick charge. The Swag definitely comes with that, so this quick charge cable
that is heavy-duty does come in handy. You might want to hang on to that.
Just go ahead and take a closer look at the Swag Kit mod.
Really nice, nice blue finish!
Like I said, very similar to the Istick Pico. It has that battery top cap
very clearly labeled on the inside.
Big positive sign here, negative sign on the top cap. So make sure to follow those instructions when installing your battery.
Let's go ahead and pop one of our Ohmtech batteries in there.
Fire this bad boy up!
The top cap just sits right on there nice and easy.
Very very smooth threads twist right on and you can see that this Swag Kit fires right up as soon as you install the battery.
510 threading with the spring-loaded 510 connection. This carbon fiber, they call this an IML.
Cover, very very sturdy, I mean the whole case it's a good compact size and it's just really durable.
Like I said, very very similar to the Istick Pico.
So if you can't get that anymore, or you have one and you're looking to replace it, give these guys,
give these guys a shot.
Here is our NRG SE tank.
Let's go ahead and wick this up so we can take a better look at the tank.
And you're just gonna want to screw this right off the bottom.
Pops right off.
Really, really good size coil. I mean you can see
the way they wick this it's wicked really well and the cotton here works good. There is
almost no need to wick this. You could fill this up
and almost go straight to vaping and not get any burnt or dry hits, however
that's just kind of how we do things
and I don't want to ruin a perfectly good coil but
the break-in time on these is very, very minimal.
Let's go ahead and just wick it up anyway.
Get some of that Desert Rain in there!
You guys haven't checked out Desert Rain from Mt Baker Vapor, a good prickly pear flavor. Definitely one of my favorites! You
might want to check that out if you're in the market for something
fruity that you can vape all day.
And we just screw that right back on and now let's install the NRG SE mini tank
onto the mod itself.
Got some very, very nice
sized airflow slots here. The airflow ring adjusts nice and easy adjustment.
There is some resistance, which I personally like because
I'm not going to have this air ring spinning all over the place, you pretty much set it and forget it.
This way all the way closed and the ring does stop
so it's not just going to constantly spin. All the way open and stop. Now you're locked in that mode.
Now to fill the tank, this is a top filled tank and
this is a sliding top field design, so
just going to on the side with the arrow push like that with your thumb.
And you can feel there is some resistance there, which is really nice because
with that top field design if it's a
opening hinge or on some of the other sliding styles that might be out there,
there is this sense that that might just come open and I've never had a problem like that with this mod.
It works really well, it holds into place just
nice and firm.
I mean look at that. It doesn't get much easier than that!
Really large filled juice hole which is great. You fit that nozzle top from that Desert Rain right on in there.
Let's just fill her up!
Holds 3.5 mls, but this is not a juice guzzler. So 3.5 mls last
lasts you a decent amount of time.
Let's go ahead and set our coil and you can see now it reads
new load, old load.
This is a new load and you are gonna get this every time you install an atomizer on there. So if you change your coil
you're gonna see that on there.
Plus or minus buttons right here on the side. New load and
we will need to adjust our wattage. We are in variable wattage mode.
Let's crank this up to the recommended wattage, which is 40 to 80 watts.
Best from 55 to 65 watts!
40 to 80 watts is a really good range on a coil.
These coils do have great flavor, the vapor production is awesome!
Let's go ahead and start at 65.
Won't push this mod too hard and it kind of looks like my Ohm tech battery is dying.
I should have thrown that on the charger.
So we got that set at 65 watts.
This mod does run up to 80 watts on a single battery!
And there are plenty of options to customize it. So, we click this fire button three times
Aha
So, if you click the button down here, this is actually for adjustments. Click it three times,
it takes you into variable wattage or the wattage curve.
We're gonna select wattage curve. To select that you just hold down this button down here at the bottom.
So, to scroll through the rest of the modes here, you are gonna hold this down for three seconds.
Right now we're in temp control, for nickel hold down.
Titanium hold down for three seconds. Memory one for temperature.
Hold down for three seconds memory two.
Hold down, there is a bypass mode which is kind of awesome.
System settings, let's go ahead and go into system settings where you can customize.
To select that click three times.
Okay, so now we can go in here and we can customize
you know what kind of vaping experience we want.
There are different strengths, there is a soft, a normal and a hard I believe.
And to do that you are going to go into variable wattage mode.
Hold that down
and we're gonna change this to high.
Normal high and soft, so let's go to high.
And then hold down for three seconds.
Hold down
and then you can just you can see the other adjustments you can make
variable temperature mode,
default settings, smart on-and-off, which just saves your battery life, screen timeout,
brightness, a puff counter and then exit is at the bottom and you will just hold that for three seconds.
Then we hold this for three seconds and we are back and variable wattage mode at 65 watts.
Basic understanding of how to scroll through the menu.
Don't be too daunted by it. There is an in-depth instruction book, which is very, very helpful.
And that's pretty much all there is to this Vaporesso Swag Kit!
Why don't we go back up vape on it and talk about it?
Alright so there she is an all her glory, the Vaporesso Swag Kit! Got that nice NRG SE
Tank sitting up top on this single battery mod.
And look how compact that is, it just fits right in your hand. So,
even if you don't have giant hands like me, this is definitely sure to still be comfortable.
Let's go ahead and vape on it and see how it vapes.
We've got it set at 65 watts right now, which is at the maximum for their best of range.
Some of you might prefer a little bit hotter vape.
But let's go ahead vape it at 65 with the air flow three-quarters of the way open and see how it is.
And it's good! It performs really well!
Nice flavor, good dense vapor and even though that's open 3/4 of the way. It's not too much airflow.
It's just the right amount. Like the airflow on this to me is perfect!
Go ahead and open up all the way,
just so we can show you it's not too overwhelming and crank this up all the way to 80 watts,
which is the maximum wattage recommended for the GT2 coil, which is included.
And
this up-and-down side-scrolling is just great. I love it! Really responsive.
We are in high on variable wattage mode at 80 watts,
which is the maximum wattage that this mod can push.
Air flow wide open.
And it's good, it's
wide open air flow and it's still very, very smooth vape.
Not hot at all! It is on the warm side, so if you like a warm vape
running this at 80 watts with this coil will be no problem for you.
However, NRG does make three other options for the GT coil. Something
maybe fits your vaping style better than this coil does. So,

JBL Link 10 And JBL Link 20 Review - Better Than Google Home? - Duration: 12:35.
Just like ultimate ears which released their Alexa compatible smart speakers the blast
and MegaBlast, JBL released their own smart speakers under their link series lineup.
But the major difference here is these JBL Speakers work with Google Assistant instead.
But although the JBL Link 10 and Link 20 sound much better than UE's new speakers, JBL
didn't quite stick the landing.

right now there are 3 JBL link speakers to choose from, and they all come in either black
or white.
The smallest speaker is called the JBL Link 10 and it retails for $149.95.
Then theres the slightly larger JBL link 20 which retails for $199.95.
And then the largest speaker in JBL's Link series line up is the JBL Link 300 which retails
for $249.95 but it doesn't have a built in battery.
And for comparison your standard google home typically retails for $130 but usually goes
on sale.
If you want to pick either of these speakers up I'll have links in the description below
and I'll keep them updated so you can get the best deal possible.
The JBL Link 10 and Link 20 are pretty typical JBL speakers, you get the same bright orange
USB charging cable and the same wall adaptor.
Except for the JBL Link 10, you don't get a wall adaptor with that one, and I'll go
into detail on why thats a huge mistake on JBL's part in a few.
But both the link 10 and link 20 are IPX 7 certified just like most other JBL portable
speakers which means they can get wet without any issues.
They also have the same fabric outer shells.
On the front of the speaker there are some led's that light up when google starts listening
to you when you say hey google or ok google.
On the top you've got your control buttons to adjust your music's volume, you can toggle
bluetooth on or off, you have a dedicated button to summon your google assistant and
you've got a play pause button as well.
Obviously if you press it itll play or pause your music, and if you double press it will
skip a track, but unfortunately triple pressing wont go back a track.
And having these manual controls are a very welcomed addition over the google home.
With the google home you can only adjust the volume or play or pause your music by using
the track pad controls… but you cant skip or go back a track you can only do that by
voice if your phone isn't around.
And I just find it weird cause I feel google could just add a swipe left or swipe right
gesture.
On the back you've got your power button with a fuel gauge on the top and below that
you also have a mic mute button which will shine orange on both the front and back of
the speaker.
And on the bottom you've got a rubber grommet that houses a micro USB port for charging.
But unfortunately these speakers don't have an aux jack, you can only stream music on
them over wifi or bluetooth.
But at least switching between the two sources is pretty seamless unlike the UE blast and
megablast.
What makes the Link 10 and Link 20 stand out is their google assistant integration.
And its super easy to set up, all you have todo is open up the Google home app on your
phone and set up takes a few minutes.
And using google assistant on the JBL link speakers is identical to using it on a google
home.
Response and processing times are the same.
And for those who are new to google assistant you can ask it questions, give it commands,
or control your smart home just by asking just to name a few.
And google assistant is constantly gaining new abilities.
And the range of these speakers is just as good as it is on the google home.
You never really have to shout or enunciate your words so google assistant can hear you.
But although JBL classifies these speakers as voice activated portable speakers, I wouldn't
use them in the same way I would that I use either the Flip 4, JBL Xtreme, JBL pulse 3,
or so on.
First off battery life on these speakers is super weak, the Link 20 advertises a battery
life of 10 hours while the Link 10 advertises a battery life of 5 hours.
And I routinely got less on both speakers.
Where as the flip 4 is good for about 14 hours, the JBL Xtreme is good for 16 hours and the
Pulse 3 is good for about 12 hours depending on how you use it.
Also, the Link 10 and 20 don't have JBL connect plus, so they cant be paired to other
JBL speakers.
And keep in mind if the JBL link speakers aren't connected to wifi then google assistant
wont work.
Without wifi or access to google assistant they instantly become over price Flip 4's
that have a very bad battery life and don't have JBL connect plus.
I like to look at the JBL Link Series speakers as an alternative to a google home that have
much better sound quality and happen to have a built in battery that will last you a short
listening session.
Cause the google home doesn't have a built in battery.
And not to mention, these speakers do take a good amount of time to boot up.
And as smart speakers are starting to get more and more popular, manufactures are really
starting to focus on sound quality… something google said they were focusing on when they
announced the soon to be released google home max and something apple said was their main
priority with their recently delayed Apple Home Pod.
And without a doubt either of these 2 JBL speakers sound way better than the google
home.
First lets start with the google home, if you're building out your smart home and
you plan on listening to a lot of music you're better off with any other smart speaker.
The google home is just not good for listening to music, it get over powered by its on bass
and vocalists sound like they're at the bottom of a well.
Now when it comes to sound quality between the Link speakers and the Flip 4… the link
speakers preform much better than the JBL Flip 4.
First they don't have as much treble as the flip 4, and their sound signature is much
more even.
They also have a wider sound stage and more bass.
The highs on the flip 4 are also a little brighter and the flip 4 also manages to get
a little louder than both of these speakers but at the expense of sound quality.
Now when it comes to comparing the Link 10 versus the Link 20 the biggest difference
is the sound stage.
The soundstage is just much wider and the link 20 also has a little more bass.
But it dosnt get all that much louder… the link 20 just has slightly better sound quality
and deeper lows than the link 10.
Now lets talk about issues found on the JBL Link speakers.
First they're using bluetooth 4.2, which is good… they're good for about a range
of 70 feet.
But the problem is if you're going to watch a video using either of these two speakers
and streaming over bluetooth theres a significant delay to the point that its unwatchable.
Where as with the Flip 4 theres still a delay but not as bad as the link speakers.
another problem is have with these link speakers are the constant wifi indicator lights on
the front.
You cant turn them off and you cant even dim them.
If you plan on placing one of these smart speakers in your bedroom then the light can
get pretty annoying for light sleepers like me.
I personally feel the wifi indicator light should only turn on if theres a problem with
the wifi connection.
Cause even google's own google home doesn't have a constantly on wifi indicator light.
But my biggest problem are the included wall adapter and usb charging cable for these speakers.
Like I said, I feel these speakers should be looked as google home smart speaker alternatives.
If you buy a smart speaker you want it to be listening for the hot word at all times
so when you need it its ready to go right then and there.
And in order for the JBL Link 10 or Link 20 to always to be listening they have to always
be turned on.
So obviously they will constantly need to be plugged in cause their battery wont last
too long.
And also if they're inactive for a while they'll automatically shut off if they're
unplugged.
But the included usb cables are way shorter than the cable the google home has and its
an obnoxiously bright orange.
Its not going to look good if you place it in a living room.
And like I mentioned in the beginning of this video the link 10 doesn't come included with
a wall adaptor and for a $150 speaker thats ridiculous.
Personally I feel both of these speakers should come included with wall adapters but more
importantly they should come with longer black or white cables.
Cause if you want to use either of these speakers to their fullest potential they need to constantly
be plugged in.
But something else I've noticed with the JBL Link speakers is that there are some features
missing that are found on the google home.
For starters if you try to place a phone call by using google assistant the JBL speakers
wont work.
Where as the google home will place a phone call with no problem.
I also noticed the new broadcast feature doesn't fully work with the JBL speakers.
If you tell the JBL speakers to broadcast something only the google home will get the
broadcast message.
And if you tell the google home to broadcast something the JBL speakers wont do anything.
All I'm saying is that if you decide to get either of these JBL speakers as a replacement
for a google home then it might take a little longer for you to get the latest features
sort of like how google's pixel phones get the newest OS updates right away where as
third party manufacture android phones might get the newest OS a few weeks later.
SO could this mean there might be some fragmentation in future?
Like I've said in past videos, I think its great 3rd party manufactures are embracing
voice assistants.
And JBL did an ok job with their JBL link Series.
Its a really good option for people who prefer to use google assistant and are pretty invested
in the google eco system.
The Link 10 and Link 20 perform just as well as a google home but sound much better.
Setting them up and using them is a breeze and they have no problem switching from wifi
to bluetooth streaming… something the UE Blast and Megablast really struggled with.
But they do have their design quirks like needlessly constant on indicator lights and
cables thats are too short.
The Link 10 and Link 20 don't really compete with the JBL Flip 4 or JBL Charge 3, they're
smart speakers that I feel predominantly should live in your home cause they're best when
they're connected to wifi and they don't have the longest battery lives.
The Flip 4 and charge 3 are the ones I would take on a camping trip, to the beach, or on
a hike.
I like the JBL Link 20 and Link 10, but they do have room for improvement.

Cubase 9.5 ALL New Features & Review - Duration: 21:52.
HI, I am Blaise from Synthmorph
In this quick video I'll show quickly all
(and I really mean all) the new features
of the 9.5 update of Steinberg Cubase
It's worth spending your time to watch it fully
and you'll exactly know what are the new things and where to find them
Ok, let's start
The first one, and I think one of the most important
and most requested feature is that they finally
improved automation with Bezier curve
so you shape the transition between any two points freely
you can make them edgy or smooth
depending on where you move this control point
What's more, now you can raise or lower
the overall scaling between any two points without selecting them
just drag this diamond shape on the top and move up/down
Also, it perfectly works with any selection range
I am holding here the Ctlr and Shift while drawing a range freely.... you see
so you do not need those clumsy tricks anymore to make trim-like automations
And the new system also works with VCF faders
I think with these major changes in the automation system of Cubase
it became quite feature complete and easy to use
but unfortunatley it does not relate to MIDI automations inside the editors
so this is strictly for the main Project window
so hopefully MIDI automations will get a major overhaul later
Ok, next thing, the number of insert effect slot
has been doubled from 8 to 16
Compared to the previous version where
the pre and post fader insert slot configuration was totally fixed
you remember, the first six was always pre and the last two was always post fader
now it is flexible: just move this green line and now everything
above the line is pre-fader, below the line is post-fader
and you can see the difference clearly
because now they are coloured differently
They also made the visuals of the plug-in states clearer
if the plug-in is active and working, it is blue
if you bypass it by clicking here, it is greyed out
and finally if you Alt+click on this left side icon
you can toggle the plug-in on or off
so the different states are now clearly visible
The metronom system has completely reworked and improved
You can open the Metronome settings in the Transport > Metronome setup
but I prefer to open it from this lower Transport Bar
First I click the Click Patterns, so you see this song has a 4/4 signature
but what if the feel of the song changes in the chorus to triplet
or maybe there is even a signature change, like from 4/4 to 2/4?
It requires different metronome rhythms, so you can set them differently
for each different song sections, this is the beauty of the new metronome

The next great thing is that you can try different click sound presets
as Steinberg provided them as preset, but you can also load your own
metronome sounds as audio files or just assign it
or just assign to a drum module or something
And the last thing is: at the Project > Signature Track you can render
the metronome sound as a MIDI file or an audio file
this is very handy to pass a final metronome track
in live recording situation for other players or singers
Here is a great new feature
just drag a MIDI part from an instrument track or
from a Rack instrument MIDI track
onto a Sampler track and Cubase will render the audio file for instant playback
Here is a Synthmorph sequence from my Zebralette MARS soundset
it just repeats the same C2 note
but quite complex modulations occur in the background

Now I drop it to the sampler and it actually renders the
whole sequence and I can instantly play on it polyphonically
this also is an unlimited source of inspiration and creating new sounds quickly!

Also, now you can drop any audio from Mediabay
or Windows Explorer or Finder onto the track or onto the sampler itself
and the sounds are all instantly usable
You can compare the different states with the new A/B switch
and as you see it relates not just to the parameter sets
but to the samples too
Finally a very important, but under-the-hood change
whenever you drop an audio file to the sampler, from any source
it will fully copy it to the project audio folder
so you do not have to worry about missing samples anymore
Ok, the next one is the Direct Offline Processing which should be a game changer
but unfortunately it'a still not there, and I'll tell you shortly why
If you are a Cubase user probably you remember the old way
Offline Process History to process audio files with plugins
and so-called processes
In the old way, you added a plugin to the audio file...
you could preview then render...
you add another one, again render, then I apply reverse...
this whole thing was painfully slow to use
However, it was often necessary to save CPU power this way
it was far from a creative workflow
So in Cubase 9.5 they introduced the Direct Offline Processing
which is a modern implementation of this same idea:
you can add plug-ins and processes in the same window
I add a Compressor
then a Roomworks reverb
then Primaltap delay
you can work quickly
semi real-time and
it always works on copy of the original audio file
so you can always revert to the original audio
You can not just hear the resulting audio
but also see all changes on the waveforms
as it applies effects in semi-real-time in the background
Whichever parameter you change, it instantly re-calulates and applies it to the wave file
and the big thing is: once calculated, it does not consume CPU anymore
so it is very fast and useful for the wildest creative experimentation without any limits
Just select one or more audio events, or just a range
then press F7, this is the default keycommand for Direct Offline Processing
and start tweaking until you can hear what you want
You can leave this windows open, make part of a workspace
change audio events and it will always update its view
I can preview with this Audition button, change fx order or bypass certain plug-ins
and you see all changes are calculating very fast
nearly real time and of course all settings are saved with the project
Well, what's the problem then?
Unfortunately there are two major issues with this originally excellent idea
First, it's currently very buggy
so you'll experience strange things like
you add a plug-in and it does not appear, or just disappear
settings are not doing what they should
time based effect tails calculate incorrectly
so hopefully this one will be treated very soon in the coming maintenance updates
Another issue is, well, this Direct Offline Processing is originally
a Nuendo feature and you can save complete preset chains there
so you do not have to add plug-ins and processes every time manually
well, unfortunately this is not the case with Cubase
as you can not save preset chains here, which is a shame
and a real workflow killer - hopefully this will not stay like this
at least you guys should all poke Steinberg about this
Next thing, Cubase has now a double precision 64-bit processing engine
but by default it still uses the current 32-bit precision
It means that all channels can be processed at 64-bit resolution
so it does a slightly more precise roundings at the sonic computations
I think you should not be too exicited yet, because
1. it works only with VST3 plug-ins, so no chance for VST2 and
2. these VST3 plug-ins should specifically support this 64-bit processing
In the VST Plug-in Manager you can display only the 64-bit capable plug-ins
so you can check which works
If you enable the 64-bit mode, nearly all the stock plug-ins and channel strips effects
are prepared and 64-bit compatible right now
but any other plug-ins will still be processed with 32-bit precision as before
So going to 64-bit mixing may sound a big change, but you know
actually you won't hear any difference at all
it is more like a step forward toward the future audio application standards or something
Next thing is the right zone improvements
So the earlier version, in Cubase 9 this right zone had a very basic
I would say unfinished Mediabay, but by now Steinberg completed it
now they call it the Media Rack
which essentially is a condensed form of the big MediaBay
There are many-many small new features here
I would just show you one, the File Browser where you can finally add
nearly all kinds of related media from your computer
Drag and drop new instruments from this location became possible
and this green line shows the exact position
where you add your new instrument track
Currently you'll find here only Steinberg instruments
but maybe later you can load 3rd party stuff as well
And finally, now you'll find here in the right zone the Control Room
with the integrated Master and Loudness meters
Ok, next thing: plug-ins, let's see what's new here
We have a new wavetable instrument called Flux
it works within the stock HALion Sonic SE3
This is based on HALion 6 new wavetable engine
of course with much less control
but it is perfectly enough for most situations
It comes with 124 presets, and you should definitely check them out
as the HALion technology is amazing and most of these presets are quite impressive
[HALion Flex presets are playing]
Ok, still plugins, all the Cubase compressors, the Tube Compressor
the Vintage Compressor and the stock Compressor got a major facelift (stock NOT!, sorry)
now they look way cooler than before
It does not stop here, the added functionality is also very helpful
all three have a Mix parameter, so now you can achieve parallel compression
with just a single parameter, without any additional and complicated routings
[Diva Chomolungma sequence is playing]
And finally the tape simulator Magneto got a new graphics layout
and it is now called "mk III"
Cubase 9.5 comes with 130 FX Chain Presets
for all kinds of instruments groups, like Bass, Drums, Guitar, Synths, Vocals and more
Moreover, there are new Mastering Track Presets
25 for Cubase Artist and Elements users and an
additional 50 presets for Cubase Pro musicians
in all these genres like 70's, 80s', Classical, Country, EDM, Hip Hop, Indie, Pop and so on
Next one is not entirely new
it's a content update of the original Allen Morgan Signature Drums pack
you can find it here in the VST Sound container,
this Instrument Set Allen Morgan Signature Drums
This is completely reworked, the drum sounds are availble as one-shot samples
Then the loops are available as instantly usable and editable MIDI Loops
for the included Groove Agent SE4 drum plug-in
each kit has 5 pattern variations, of course you can make your own variations
[MIDI Loop playing]
[Groove Agent presets playing]
and finally here are the Groove Agent presets without the MIDI files in this VST3 Presets
folder
so the same content can be used in different ways
Ok, now let's see some changes in the user interface of Cubase 9.5
The first one is a very handy feature called Adapt to Zoom
and you have to activate this feature in the Grid Type menu
The main point is: when Adapt to Zoom is active
the Grid and Snap settings are scaled according to the horizontal zoom level
to put it simply: the more you zoom in, the finer the Grid will become
you see, this is why it is adaptive
Adaptive zooming is independent from the quantize settings
and it works only when you are in Bars+Beats mode on the timeline
Fortunately it works in all the MIDI editors (Key, Drum or List editor)
and you have to activate Adapt to Zoom separately here, inside the editor
at the Grid Type dropdown
It is a great idea to assign it to a keycommand
so you can quickly change between the quantize grid and the adaptive grid
The next feature is a very simple thing, but probably the most important for me
and I am not kidding.
If you are an old time Cubase user
you certainly know that you could not set the playbar (this one)
to any position by just clicking on the background
you had to click up here in the Ruler area
Then later they introduced a Preferences option called
"Locate when Clicked in Empty Space", it was somehow better
but you couldn't set the Playbar to exact start of a beat or bar, so to any exact position
Now, with Cubase 9.5 you can hold a modifier key and click in the background
and according to the Grid Type you can position this playbar to exact locations
If I set to Beat, it always snaps to beats
when set to Bar, it always snaps to the nearest Bar
You can customize its modifier key here in the
Preferences > Tool Modifiers > Select Tool > Set Position
I set mine to Shift because that's the biggest key on my keyboard
and I use this feature a lot
Ohh , just keep it up, not much left :)
Next one is an interesting one, but it seems rather useless for me
but as this upgrade solves lots of user requests, it must have been a priority
To make it short, in the MIDI section of the Preferences you can set here
a range in ticks between 0 and 240 ticks
Ok, what is tick?
This is a technical term to express the MIDI resolution
and it means a 1/16th is 120 ticks, so actually one beat is 480 ticks
so you do not really have to change it
So, when playing a part like this, here is the exact part start
but as you see these notes starts outside of this MIDI part
because of the recording, but with the range set you can even play these early notes starting
outside
... so it still plays here... yeah, that's it
Another user interface tweak is restructuring
the long-long Device menu of the earlier Cubase versions
Now it is called Studio, so everything is arranged, renamed and grouped
in a much more logical way.
If you are a long-time Cubase user
first it is a bit confusing to find what you need, but then you will love it
Ok, just a few left, let's finish quickly
In the Studio > More Options > Time Display you can configure it
to show you the Show Beat Count Only...
so, this is like a visual Metronome like
1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4 If you double click it sets the optimal size
The one before the last, this is a small helper:
in the Input/Output Channel folder you will always find the Stereo Out of the mix
so you can directly add insert effects, like a glitch plug-in
you can automate any parameters affecting the whole mix, without any clumsy automation
tricks now
I inserted Loopmash FX here and can play realtime on the whole mix
[Looopmash FX applied to the played track]
And the last feature: now you can easily re-color Cubase!
Open Preferences > User Interface.
You can select pre-defined color schemes
or if you want something really special, select a single color
and all items of the program will automatically adapt to provide you a consistent look!
Well obviously this is not one
and this is not either
Well, let's change back to a preset
You can still modify here a few elements a bit
but the lack of too many settings will give you a more balanced visual feel
Ok, this was the last one, so to sum it up
After so many years, Steinberg finally listens to its customer base
and user feature requests are handled with priority
It is very likely that you'll run into some kind of bugs here and there
ok, I have to admit it happens to nearly every all first version DAWs these days
But remember: all these applications are incredibly complex
they have to work real-time, everything always in sync, following operating system changes
When I used to jump on the Cubase line at Cubase 4, man, that was terrible at that time
until like Cubase 7 or so
and I think things got much smoother around Cubase 8
In each new version Steinberg makes significant efforts to rewrite and simplify parts of Cubase
like now we can call the automation part really finished and awesome
So Cubase is basically quite stable and usable for serious work
even if new features, like now the Direct Offline Processing should be seriously fixed
Ok, so overall I think it is a very solid update with useful features
with things that can really improve your personal workflow
so it's absolutely worth the lower than usual update price

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - S02E13 - Episode Review - Duration: 4:56.
Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power
Rangers and then discuss it!
Today, we're exploring the seventy third episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as
well as the thirteenth episode of Season 2, titled "Green No More Part 2".
We start this episode right where we left off: Tommy is being hunted down by Turbanshell,
but it lasts like two seconds before Tommy just kicks him in the face and then runs away,
hiding in a ditch.
Then, Tommy tosses Turbanshell down a hill, and there's just straight up two guys waiting
to catch the suit at the bottom.
What the hell, Power Rangers?!
Doesn't matter though because Turbanshell just flies back up and hits Tommy.
At the Command Center, Alpha and Zordon are cut off from the Rangers, and apparently,
the forcefield is compressing, getting to the point that the Command Center might implode.
Tight.
Zedd mocks the five Ranger teens, and he says he's going to send them back without their
powers to witness the destruction of Angel Grove because he's evil like that.
At the park, Billy says they should get to his lab.
Back with Tommy, Goldar shows up and sends Turbanshell away to talk smack for way too
long before he just teleports a device in to show Tommy different fights he was in on
a flame TV that, for some reason, causes Tommy to collapse with… some sort of emotion.
At Billy's lab, Billy thinks he may be able to break through the forcefield to get in
touch with Zordon and Alpha when they see on TV that Turbanshell is giant again and
attacking the city.
On the moon, Zedd is talking about how great his plan is with the Dark Rangers… when
he talks to Goldar who is also there?!
What?
Goldar is now with Tommy in the field, demanding that Tommy admits that he is his superior
before he sends him off into space with that device that caused a flaming TV to appear
before.
Tommy says "you are… out of your mind!" and attacks, getting the device, and he just
kicks Goldar's ass without any powers whatsoever before he sends Goldar away.
Tommy decides he needs to contact himself in the past, and now, Tommy sees another Tommy
who… gives him…
another communicator?
For some reason?
He uses the one on his wrist anyways and teleports into Billy's lab when they get in touch
with Zordon and Alpha.
Alpha is teleporting Tommy to Zedd's Otherworld because only a non-Power Ranger can enter
it undetected.
Tommy shows up, scoops up the crystal and smashes it in front of the Dark Rangers, causing
them de-morph and disappear while Goldar is still standing there, clearly never letting
Zedd know what happened in the field.
Tommy returns, and Tommy says from touching the crystal, he can handle one more fight,
so it's morphin time.
So convenient.
The Rangers call out their Thunderzords, forming the Thunder Megazord before they try to fight
Turbanshell, who can apparently just go into shell and fly around now, knocking Black,
Yellow, Pink, and Blue out of their Zords, leaving just Jason to fight the monster with
Red Dragon Thunderzord in Warrior Mode, but that's apparently pointless too because
it just gets knocked down, reverting to its dragon mode.
Tommy is about to call out Dragonzord when Zordon says that Tommy needs to get inside
Turbanshell with intense heat, and have him be hit with intense cold on the outside?
Tommy straight up hides in a pile of watermelons and gets eaten by Turbanshell, and Tommy just
starts firing a damn laser in him.
This show is fucking weird.
Zack flips up onto a building, and he uses a hose that somehow freezes Turbanshell with
just regular water, which causes him to spit out Tommy who just falls onto the ground.
The Zords are magically back online, and they reform the Thunder Megazord, quickly destroying
Turbanshell.
RIP you weird ass hermit crab.
At the Youth Center, all the Ranger teens, and Trini mentions that all the Dark Rangers
were sent home with no memory of what happened.
Speaking of which, they show up, and Kim says, maybe they just need some friends.
Jason pays for five sodas for the rejects, and somehow that was good enough.
Whatever.
I want this episode to be over.
The teens talk to Zordon who says that the Command Center is fine now because as soon
as Tommy shattered the crystal, they were freed.
Then, Tommy says that he'll miss everyone while he goes on school break, which is weird
because how does one become the only one going on school break?
Whatever, they put their hands together and leap into the air, saying "bye again, Tommy."
This episode is a pretty rough follow up to the first part.
I don't know what it is about it that's just… smashed together.
Seriously.
I mean, everything was just handwaved away, and there was no explanation for anything.
Plus, Tommy definitely never did anything that he did in the original message at all,
and things are just so weird.
So, Tommy is officially off the show again.
How will that affect the show next time?

film played by Leonardo DiCaprio my name is Jordan Belfort the year I turned 26
I mean 49 million dollars at which really pissed me off because it was
three shy of a million a week
nobody knows if the stock is gonna go up down sideways or in circles you know fugazi is?
it's a fake it's a it's a woodsy fairy dust lots and lots of material online
about that movie were about Jordan Belfort career I don't want to talk about
that what I want to talk about is his new book his new audio book in fact this
is that the way of the wolf which basically is rather than a story of
Jordan Belfort and the craziness that happened in his life that he
probably caused and it's more about how we can be more effective at selling and
I'm sure some of you had just switched off because you had nothing to do it
sell you don't want to have anything to do with selling but I think that's wrong
you think and that puts you in the very much of a disadvantaged position so
don't let anyone tells you that you are not in sales you are because there are
some lessons to be learned from Jordan and his career at selling he developed
this strain line system that he explains in this audio book how he sort of got
into there and how he you know managed to teach people and sell loads more than
everyone else there is that scene in wolf of Wall Street that apparently is
true watch this
and what do you do brah money blame in what I do for work what
do you do I'm a stockbroker - stockbroker? yeah children's furniture oh good for
you it's all right you make a lot of money ?? yeah I do I write for myself I'm trying to put
it together you don't get fuckin nice car understand that understood how much
money you don't know seventy thousand last month I'm serious
yeah I'm serious to see how much money I told you seventy thousand well
technically seventy two thousand last month something like that makes have any
you made $70k in one month? yeah I'll tell you what you show me a paste up for seventy two
thousand dollars on it I quit my job right now and I work for you

earned 75 grand a week I didn't I don't so maybe that it's time
for us to learn from Jordan let's get to
it because it's very easy to say that
Jordan was bad guy he stole people money and I don't want to disagree with that I
think he he's been in prison he paid his debt he's still paying his debt and
that's fine I want to leave that what I want you to focus on is his absolute
amazing skills of prospecting and getting people to yes from NO three
things that I learned from Jordans our first tonality make sure when you say
things you actually use the right tonality so slowing things down
emphasizing things and there is a reason why I'm ringing you there is a there is
a very good opportunity on the market there is amazing cloth that we've got
mr. Smith you one of my first customers I'm ringing today about this because
there is something about this unique product that we've got going on that
wanted to know first an introduction like this will absolutely change and
transform you talk to people and you get your leads and you get your prospects on
the phone and you keep them there so that's lesson number one tonality
number two that we very often forget is that the marketing is there to generate
leads everything that goes into this big huge lump of marketing should go and the
only objective of that is to get you more leads let's never forget about that
there's three things that need to be in place in order for people to even
consider buying from you the product must be top-notch
and probably get that but also they need to trust you and they
need to trust the company represent if it you won't start up and your own small
company the projection of your company must be so if they look you up they
actually see what you mean and they can prove that you were trustworthy and the
company's choice working as well so those three pillars product trust or
knew and trust in your company and probably the most important thing that I
absolutely loved when he said that in his book is of that people judge you
buy who you are you got six seconds four seconds two seconds it all depends what
study you look into but people judge you by the way you look the way you
behave the way you talk do you sound like an expert can't trust you if not
you have to very quickly sort of get into this mindset and create those sort
of words and you in your head and on your script
that actually gonna mean to your prospects that you're an expert in the
field so you have to make sure you do that and then educate yourself so you
actually become the expert so you not only top the top but you walk the walk
as well and why do I love it so much because it's very much something that I
thoroughly believe in men's finest can do for you as well which is the fact
that first impression matter it matters a lot whether you are selling insurance
whether you selling mortgages whether you are financial guy whether you
selling bicycles the way you look the way you shop looks matter a lot the way
you online presence look matters a lot so why would you spend thousands on
getting your website up and making sure it's nice and pretty and then you go to
a meeting with the prospect or with a bank and you look sloppy why would you
want to do that makes no sense to me makes no sense to Jordan I don't want to

and do yourself a favor read this listen to this five to ten
times if you have to learn to you things and just be better at selling be better
on it it's that simple and don't forget stay stylish in the
process that's so important
