COLOURPOP LUSTER DUST SWATCHES + REVIEW - Duration: 9:28.

oh wow hey guys and welcome back to my channel so today I will be doing

swatches and reviewing colourpops and newest highlighters they luster dust loose

highlighters and now these are part of colourpops like holiday 2017 collections

so these highlighters are $7 USD each which is a very good price for a

highlighter in New Zealand Dollars I think they ends up being like $12 ish

which is still really cheap and I'm not gonna complain about that

however colour pops been like dropping stuff like it's hot like left right and

center and but when I saw that they had these new highlighters I felt like I

really had to try them solely because they are completely new for colourpop in

their formula and because they are loose highlighters so I thought I would swatch

them all for you guys wet and dry because apparently wet they do give it

kind of different you know Shine look to them and I also want to compare them to

some of the most popular highlighters -

yeah when I compare them to some of their most popular highlighters umm

wisp and flexitarian which are two of my absolute favorites yeah if you want to

see that stay tuned is yeah just just do it right now so the holidays come in a

little box just like this one it's got little sparkles on it because it's their

holiday collection so they're trying to make it a bit festive anyway so you take

it out of the box and this is the color in know me think it's know me not just

know yeah there's a nice it's know me and it comes in this little container um

which I feel like you get quite a lot of product and it's a lot bigger than I

actually expected I thought it was gonna be really tiny and so it's a good decent

size but yeah I guess we'll go gets who go get we'll get straight into the

swatches okay so this first one is gnomie it's obviously being quite popular

because if you go on colourpop's website at the moment it's actually sold out

already and this is the lightest highlighter shade so if you are paler

and this will be the shade for you because some of the other ones are quite

like they're quite deep so Gnomie is also kind of like a champagne

kind of highlighter and with silver glitter in it so just tip some into the

lid oh it's not coming out very easily it's not coming out okay so I'm just

taking this a bit more we kind of flat shader brush I think it's a foundation

brush but it'll do the trick for this what picks up easily from what I can

tell it's not solely loose powder it's got a little bit of some sort of fixture

in there to keep it all together so I'm just gonna swatch it oh oh oh that is so

glittery so as you can see it is a very pretty champagne color

the next loose highlighter shade in the collection is called aura voir and so

they described by aura voir as a kind of golden peachy highlight with gold

glitter and I feel like this is a really good one I feel like kind of a medium

tan color or if you just like mean you've got a fake tan at the moment oh

it is very peachy oh I'm excited to try this okay so I'm gonna do this one right

underneath you know me oh no that one again is a very nice pearlized finish

it's definitely more pinky your pinky Goldy undertones

it's actually really prettier I feel like I like that one more than Gnomie

just because of its really pretty color lastly we've got the color dewdrop which

is the darkest highlighter in this whole shebang and it's a bronzer a highlighter

with silver and gold glitter so I'm quite intrigued to see what this one

looks like this one is very dark I think if you have a date to skin tired just

want to look really beautiful or if you didn't use this one eyeshadow probably

okay so I'm just gonna swatch that one underneath

oh it's pretty definitely a lot deeper it's not as dark as I thought it was

gonna be like I would say that that is actually quite wearable from what I

originally thought it was gonna be.I just have to say with flash these highlighters look

incredible they just shine it so beautifully it's just amazing so next

I'm going to swatch them with a wet brush I'm gonna use the colour-pop rose

quartz crystal priming spray I figured that

what better product to use with a colourpop highlighter than a colourpop priming

spray and so I'm just gonna spray the brush yeah she's wet that's what she

said ha ha ha ha so I'm gonna go back in with Gnomie the

only thing I'm finding is it's really hard to get out of the actual container

and enter the cap okay and I'm just going to

oh I thought it was supposed to apply nicer what I've immediately noticed is

that applying it wet it actually has got a little bit patchy yeah almost like

it's not as smooth as it should be compared to the original know me it's a

little bit more pinky the pink has really come out with the with the

wetness however yeah it's it's not a smooth

smooth as it thought it was gonna be a lot smoother and you know you know just

like smoother as a whole thing and it's just not so confused ok so this is aura

voir swatched wet I'm gonna be honest it's kind of

happened again that one was a lot worse it's just very

patchy and not as that highlighter look that I'm really going for that's really

sad ok I'm gonna do one more swatch with dew drop oh that one's pretty over dew

drop is beautiful I feel like you can see that one that one's not patchy at

all I'm gonna be honest the products just come out a lot nicer in that

container as well that one's even nicer than it's dry swatch the dry swatches

for the first to gnomieand aura voir way nicer than this watch was wet

because they just there was a hot mess so overall basically got a noticed is

that they're very difficult to get out of the container solely because it's a

bit of adhesive to them and so they're not just low so they don't really come

out of the holes very well in the container did I show you that yeah so

they've just got these like nine little holes and it just doesn't come out very

easily but yeah I just want to really quickly compare them to a swatch of wisp

and flexitarian just to kind of show you the consistency and

kind of shrine that they give in comparison I feel like wisp is quite

similar to aura voir from what I've noticed so I'm just gonna

do a quick just in between oh yeah wisp and aura voir are very very similar

the only differences are aura voir just has a lot more glitter in it so that's what

you're looking for with a bit more glitter if you want that kind of

comparison that's perfect for year I would say flexitarian is quite similar

to gnomie just because of its lightness I guess

so I'll just do another okay so if like Styrian is a lot lighter than no me so

if that's something you're used to wearing yeah so the difference just

between those ones that are already very popular color pop highlighters it's just

that the glittery finish compared to a pearlized satiny kind of finish I'm just

gonna apply one of them on my face because I've not put highlighter on

today solely because I want to test this out a little bit and I think I'm gonna

grow up and gnomie because my makeup I don't want to bronze highlight that's

not the look I've gone for today I'm gonna get another foundation brush from

Bella I don't know what they I just got them in a really big pack of brushes so

again I'm just gonna take a bit on my brush hey let's go

oh wow

this is like strobing central if you're not into a very blinding highlight

that's probably not for you but if you're like me and you are then heck

yeah jump on this ship because it's sailing yeah so definitely if you're

looking into buying these highlighters just decide what colors for you fork out

seven dollars and you will be blinding people on the streets and if that's not

the life you want to live then I don't know what is - anyway so if you liked my

Fiqh al-Buyu by Mufti Taqi Uthmani - Joe Bradford #InsideMyLIbrary Book Review - Duration: 8:10.

Today's book is the law of transactions according to the four canonical SUNY schools along with

modern applications compared with man-made legal systems.

That very long title in Arabic is the title of today's inside my library book review.

Before we talk about the book let's talk a little bit about its author.

Son of the late Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi, the former Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti

Muhammad Taqi Usmani was born in 1943 in Deoband, India.

Regarded as an expert in the fields of Hadith, Fiqh, and Finance as well as other disciplines.

He served as Judge of the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from

1982 to May 2002.

He is also a permanent member of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, an organ of OIC based

in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He has served as the Vice Chairman of the Academy for nine years.

He is also the Vice President of Darul Uloom Karachi.

He is one of the leading Shariah scholars active in the field of Islamic finance and

for more than a decade he has served as chairman or member of Shariah supervisory boards of

a dozen Islamic banks and financial institutions in various parts of the world.

He presently serves as Chairman of the International Shariah Council for the Accounting and Auditing

Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) in Bahrain.

He has authored more than 60 books in Arabic, English, and Urdu.

This book consists of two sizable volumes which covers almost all of the essential issues

that come up in the study of transactional law under Islamic law.

The author in a almost 15-page introduction to the book talks about the reasons why he

wrote it one of those main reasons is that he wanted to gather all of the essential issues

of transactional law from the four canonical schools in one place.

Why you may ask well he wanted to be able for people to go back and understand the differing

and variant opinions about specific issues and this would then assist them in studying

the application of the law in their particular situations.

Another reason why he wrote it was to allow people to understand how they can apply Islamic

law in their particular circumstances and how Islamic law engages with or differs from

man-made legal systems.

As he mentions in his introduction that his detailed study of issues of transnational

law have increased his belief in the genius of the earliest Muslim jurists.

Not to claim that these jurist were in some way infallible however wow many people call

these days to what is Ijtihad, Mufti Taqi makes an observation that "none of them

have written the book of law from the beginning to the end from purification until probate,

based solely on their Ijtihad."

What he's pointing out here is simply that books like this one that he has written essentially

summarize for us the scholarship was his past and that in order for us to trust current

scholarship as well as ensure its consistency with the substantive principles and precepts

of Islam it must in some way shape or form reference and engage with the law of the past.

Perhaps one of the most beneficial aspects of this book is the fact that not only does

he mention issues related to Modern Financial transactions but he also tells us how those

modern transactions relate to both the Islamic legal system as well as modern legal systems.

I personally found this point to be extremely beneficial.

Just to give you an example of the type of issues that he covers in the book.

Dimensions for example the sale of assets and then the sale of usufruct, meaning the

sale of the use of something and its benefit, he then covers in quite some detail the issue

of the sale of Rights and what forms of Rights have value or may be transferred through sale

under a stomach law then he goes into a few of the different rights that are found within

Islamic legal texts such as the right to form contract or pre-emptive rights or for example

The Rite of Passage or having an easement so on and so forth.

After this he goes into the issues that are modern related to these such as selling trademarks

and copyrights as well as franchises she's a form of right and business licenses, publication

rights, Financial options and others.

As a resource for looking up both old and new issues and understanding how they relate

back to both the principles and the references of medieval Islamic law this book is invaluable.

The author did say that he wrote This Book in a logical format so that each issue build

upon the next I personally did not find that to be the case although his taxonomy and system

is a shin of the issues did make it easier to go back and refer to the table of contents

when a specific issue came up.

Obviously categorization and the creation of some form of system of knowledge is subjective

and can differ from person to person.

One thing that is very comforting about this book is the high level of Arabic language

which is used in the book it is neither colloquial nor is it an accessible but it falls right

between those two extremes allowing the reader to access the book but also elevating the

reader's mindset about the topic through simply the language that was used.

If you're looking for one book to buy about this topic I really feel that this is the

one that you should get it is concise without being insultingly short it is Well referenced

and well thought-out and all in all a sizable contribution to the genre of Islamic law in

the Arabic language and my hope would be that it one day is translated into the English

language as well.

Actually, this is my first time to use estee lauder makeup, so I'm pretty excited and

I'm also gonna do a makeup using most of these products

so now you can see better

Actually 12 piece full size items. two eye shadow palette and

an eyeshadow brush and

a night repair recovery complex and the full size eye makeup remover

Three full-size lipstick and lip gloss and the mascara I

heard a lot of good things about those envy lipsticks, so I'm pretty excited to try because I

Have a lot of problem with my lips

So these three

There are plum dynamic and dominant, let's see the color

I heard love think good things about them

People are saying they're creamy their long-lasting easy to apply and they have like this

Fruity smell that's pretty neat

Also they have this limited-edition eyeshadow palette

Nighttime, ooh

I love the purple. I'm definitely going to try the purple color

So I'm gonna do makeup with the eyeshadow and the lipstick continue watching

So first I want to start with my lips. I'm always insecure about my lips

They're thin which contribute to my RBF resting B face

like always I use a concealer to cover the dark corner of my mouth and

The laugh lines and also highlight the top of my lip I chose this color dominant since it made my skin look brighter

I use a brush to draw the line of a

smiling shape

This lipstick is pretty easy to apply and it's very light weighted

Then use a q-tip to remove the extra

And then I use estee lauders deep purple lip gloss

deep purple lip gloss and apply only in

center of top and bottom my lips to make it look like a

smiling face

To give a more vivid shape

For eyes, I first apply the primer

So the eyeshadow can stay longer

And it's easier to apply for the eyeshadow and for the base color. I choose this shimmery pink color

For shimmery color, I like to just use my finger to apply for the whole eyelid

And then I use this deep purple color as a secondary color to create the crease. I

Basically draw a v-shape from the corner of my eye. I

Love this specific brush. It just makes it so easy to draw the v-shape

I also applied the purple eye shadow color to the whole bottom of my eyelid to make it consistent

Then I try to blend in with a blend brush

Then I choose to use the gunmetal color to apply to the corner of my eye to give it more depth

For the eyeliner I like to use the gel eyeliner, it's easy to apply specially for beginners

As far as

Mascara, oh my god, this is huge. I hope I will get used to it

And

Then I use a white shimmery color

to apply in the front corner of my eye to make my eyes pop

Last but not least I used the blend brush to blend everything again and make a more consistent

To make my look more consistent, I decided to use the same lipstick color as my blush color

so I used the lipstick brush and dab three dots on each side of my cheeks and

Then use my finger to smoothly blend in

watch the insight the episode you know that means boss and there's a lot to be

said about the boss in this episode but let's start at the beginning

we have another cold open where we're taking back to their Young Ian kidnapped

and we find out that the Portuguese pirates that took them were hired by the

Bakra to go to Silkie islands and find her treasure box it's not clear how long

a journey has been but we do find out that he is a week ahead of Jamie and

Claire When Ian arrives he's put in a cell with two other boys but he finds out

that there once were six and those that go to see the Bakra never return he's

trying so hard he's strong and keep his cool even as a naked woman emerges from

a bloodbath we hear her voice before we see her face but that was enough for me

to know that it was Geillis Duncan the whole episode has this eerie kind of

creepy feel to it but this scene ups that especially with the music and the

dripping blood as she tries to seduce Ian she has him drink this tea that

forces him to tell the truth made for her by a witch doctor

who knows if that's true she probably made it herself

Poor Ian can't help but tell her that Jamie is his uncle and probably has the

Sapphire that she's looking for as usual Geillis is up to something by

having her way with virgin boys and then killing them it looks like she's getting

ready for some kind of sacrifice but that may or may not be tied to across

the feet foretelling the rise of the Scottish King in order to do the reading

she needs three sapphires that used to belong to Dougal Mackenzie

I'm curious who told her that Dougal died in the Battle of Culloden

either way she tells this story to the brother and sister fortune telling duo

Archibald and Margaret Campbell before their reveal were taken back to Claire

and Jamie who have finally arrived in Jamaica they continue the search for

Young Ian with a little help from one of cousin Jared's employees he directs

them to the slave market where Jamie does find out that the new governor has

purchased the slaves the barouche was carrying while at the slave market

Claire witnesses the disgusting treatment of a male slave named

Temeraire who she tries to defend but causes a fight to break out Jamie ends

up purchasing Temeraire but they plan to free him once they can find a safe

place to do it in the meantime their new companion is

enlisted in the quest to find young Ian and having already received their

invitation to the Governor's Ball Jamie and Claire plan to go to gain more

information about young Ian's whereabouts Fergus Marsali Claire and

Jamie and Mr. Willoughby are all dressed up in some of Claire and Jamie's old

Paris clothing unfortunately for Mr. Willoughby he's really only there as a

distraction to keep eyes off of Jamie in their mission at the door

Claire runs into Archibald Campbell and inquires about his sister Margaret who

we later see develop some sort of romance with Mr. Willoughby perhaps the

sweetest moment in this episode happens while they're waiting in line to meet

the new governor Claire comments on Fergus and Marsali' newlywed romance

recalling when she and Jamie were like that as they look into each other's eyes

it's clear that the passion is still there just a little hidden under their

aged exterior but the real eye catcher in this episode

is Lord John Gray the new Governor of Jamaica but an old friend I

definitely do not call this happening but I was thinking the same thing as

Jamie where is Willie it is sad that he's not in Jamaica and I don't think

that Jamie will be there long enough for him to get there

Claire interjects herself into their somewhat awkward reunion to find out

that Lord John was basically stationed in Jamaica as one of England's outposts

but she also takes notice of a beautiful blue sapphire that he wears as a

reminder of his friendship with Jamie later John and Claire have a

conversation where Claire basically stakes her claim on Jamie and is clear

that John is held Jamie in his mind and his heart since their last meeting and

he's taken off guard by meeting Claire Jamie was right about the ghosts that

keep coming back from their past because Claire sees Geillis and she almost

disappears but leads clear outside for a reunion

Claire already knew that Geillis was allowed to live until the baby was born

but Geillis fills in the rest about Dougal helping her escape and how she

watched the old woman whose body took her place

burned just as she could say she witnessed her own execution she tries to

play the friend by offering Claire her help in finding Young Ian but it's really

Claire that ends up helping Geillis by leading her to the missing sapphire worn

by Lord John Gray she hurries off to find the Campbells so she can have her

read now and she's able to coerce Lord John into having his fortune told

and giving Margaret his sapphire to hold Margaret tells of a two hundred

year old baby that must be killed in order for a Scot to wear a crown I guess

we'll get that explained soon enough for now the more pressing issue is getting

Jamie out before he is seen by Captain Leonard

and they almost do before they leave Temeraire is able to find out that young

Ian was taken to a mistress Abernathy of Rose Hall aka Geillis duncan on their

way to Rose Hall they free Temeraire to be with the escaped slaves in the

mountains but before they can continue their journey Captain Leonard shows up

and arrest Jaime I don't much more to say about this episode the season is

almost over and it looks like the finale is gonna be a rough one what are you

guys speculating for the finale tell me in your comments

Disneyland Hotel Review || Konkin Can Do Disney E03 - Duration: 6:43.

Enjoying our first morning here and Disney Hotel is actually awesome.

I could totally eat some of this right now.

So here I am like a total goof with my giant hat how do you like it everyone?

And we're here in Disneyland, the Disneyland Resort.

Julia's doing all the hard work over my shoulder, wait wait, I don't even know what my wife

looks like.

She's the cutie in the red, there that's her.

We made it we made it.

so and breakfast showed up on time actually just a little early by two minutes.

But we had room service, and that was two days ago.

They set this up very nicely, they put our gross bag of cookies from Hawaii in that little

basket which I don't know what's going on, they left our empty coffee carafe and they

left the two day old cream that is still right there.

Cubase 9.5 ALL New Features & Review - Duration: 21:52.

HI, I am Blaise from Synthmorph

In this quick video I'll show quickly all

(and I really mean all) the new features

of the 9.5 update of Steinberg Cubase

It's worth spending your time to watch it fully

and you'll exactly know what are the new things and where to find them

Ok, let's start

The first one, and I think one of the most important

and most requested feature is that they finally

improved automation with Bezier curve

so you shape the transition between any two points freely

you can make them edgy or smooth

depending on where you move this control point

What's more, now you can raise or lower

the overall scaling between any two points without selecting them

just drag this diamond shape on the top and move up/down

Also, it perfectly works with any selection range

I am holding here the Ctlr and Shift while drawing a range freely.... you see

so you do not need those clumsy tricks anymore to make trim-like automations

And the new system also works with VCF faders

I think with these major changes in the automation system of Cubase

it became quite feature complete and easy to use

but unfortunatley it does not relate to MIDI automations inside the editors

so this is strictly for the main Project window

so hopefully MIDI automations will get a major overhaul later

Ok, next thing, the number of insert effect slot

has been doubled from 8 to 16

Compared to the previous version where

the pre and post fader insert slot configuration was totally fixed

you remember, the first six was always pre and the last two was always post fader

now it is flexible: just move this green line and now everything

above the line is pre-fader, below the line is post-fader

and you can see the difference clearly

because now they are coloured differently

They also made the visuals of the plug-in states clearer

if the plug-in is active and working, it is blue

if you bypass it by clicking here, it is greyed out

and finally if you Alt+click on this left side icon

you can toggle the plug-in on or off

so the different states are now clearly visible

The metronom system has completely reworked and improved

You can open the Metronome settings in the Transport > Metronome setup

but I prefer to open it from this lower Transport Bar

First I click the Click Patterns, so you see this song has a 4/4 signature

but what if the feel of the song changes in the chorus to triplet

or maybe there is even a signature change, like from 4/4 to 2/4?

It requires different metronome rhythms, so you can set them differently

for each different song sections, this is the beauty of the new metronome

The next great thing is that you can try different click sound presets

as Steinberg provided them as preset, but you can also load your own

metronome sounds as audio files or just assign it

or just assign to a drum module or something

And the last thing is: at the Project > Signature Track you can render

the metronome sound as a MIDI file or an audio file

this is very handy to pass a final metronome track

in live recording situation for other players or singers

Here is a great new feature

just drag a MIDI part from an instrument track or

from a Rack instrument MIDI track

onto a Sampler track and Cubase will render the audio file for instant playback

Here is a Synthmorph sequence from my Zebralette MARS soundset

it just repeats the same C2 note

but quite complex modulations occur in the background

Now I drop it to the sampler and it actually renders the

whole sequence and I can instantly play on it polyphonically

this also is an unlimited source of inspiration and creating new sounds quickly!

Also, now you can drop any audio from Mediabay

or Windows Explorer or Finder onto the track or onto the sampler itself

and the sounds are all instantly usable

You can compare the different states with the new A/B switch

and as you see it relates not just to the parameter sets

but to the samples too

Finally a very important, but under-the-hood change

whenever you drop an audio file to the sampler, from any source

it will fully copy it to the project audio folder

so you do not have to worry about missing samples anymore

Ok, the next one is the Direct Offline Processing which should be a game changer

but unfortunately it'a still not there, and I'll tell you shortly why

If you are a Cubase user probably you remember the old way

Offline Process History to process audio files with plugins

and so-called processes

In the old way, you added a plugin to the audio file...

you could preview then render...

you add another one, again render, then I apply reverse...

this whole thing was painfully slow to use

However, it was often necessary to save CPU power this way

it was far from a creative workflow

So in Cubase 9.5 they introduced the Direct Offline Processing

which is a modern implementation of this same idea:

you can add plug-ins and processes in the same window

I add a Compressor

then a Roomworks reverb

then Primaltap delay

you can work quickly

semi real-time and

it always works on copy of the original audio file

so you can always revert to the original audio

You can not just hear the resulting audio

but also see all changes on the waveforms

as it applies effects in semi-real-time in the background

Whichever parameter you change, it instantly re-calulates and applies it to the wave file

and the big thing is: once calculated, it does not consume CPU anymore

so it is very fast and useful for the wildest creative experimentation without any limits

Just select one or more audio events, or just a range

then press F7, this is the default keycommand for Direct Offline Processing

and start tweaking until you can hear what you want

You can leave this windows open, make part of a workspace

change audio events and it will always update its view

I can preview with this Audition button, change fx order or bypass certain plug-ins

and you see all changes are calculating very fast

nearly real time and of course all settings are saved with the project

Well, what's the problem then?

Unfortunately there are two major issues with this originally excellent idea

First, it's currently very buggy

so you'll experience strange things like

you add a plug-in and it does not appear, or just disappear

settings are not doing what they should

time based effect tails calculate incorrectly

so hopefully this one will be treated very soon in the coming maintenance updates

Another issue is, well, this Direct Offline Processing is originally

a Nuendo feature and you can save complete preset chains there

so you do not have to add plug-ins and processes every time manually

well, unfortunately this is not the case with Cubase

as you can not save preset chains here, which is a shame

and a real workflow killer - hopefully this will not stay like this

at least you guys should all poke Steinberg about this

Next thing, Cubase has now a double precision 64-bit processing engine

but by default it still uses the current 32-bit precision

It means that all channels can be processed at 64-bit resolution

so it does a slightly more precise roundings at the sonic computations

I think you should not be too exicited yet, because

1. it works only with VST3 plug-ins, so no chance for VST2 and

2. these VST3 plug-ins should specifically support this 64-bit processing

In the VST Plug-in Manager you can display only the 64-bit capable plug-ins

so you can check which works

If you enable the 64-bit mode, nearly all the stock plug-ins and channel strips effects

are prepared and 64-bit compatible right now

but any other plug-ins will still be processed with 32-bit precision as before

So going to 64-bit mixing may sound a big change, but you know

actually you won't hear any difference at all

it is more like a step forward toward the future audio application standards or something

Next thing is the right zone improvements

So the earlier version, in Cubase 9 this right zone had a very basic

I would say unfinished Mediabay, but by now Steinberg completed it

now they call it the Media Rack

which essentially is a condensed form of the big MediaBay

There are many-many small new features here

I would just show you one, the File Browser where you can finally add

nearly all kinds of related media from your computer

Drag and drop new instruments from this location became possible

and this green line shows the exact position

where you add your new instrument track

Currently you'll find here only Steinberg instruments

but maybe later you can load 3rd party stuff as well

And finally, now you'll find here in the right zone the Control Room

with the integrated Master and Loudness meters

Ok, next thing: plug-ins, let's see what's new here

We have a new wavetable instrument called Flux

it works within the stock HALion Sonic SE3

This is based on HALion 6 new wavetable engine

of course with much less control

but it is perfectly enough for most situations

It comes with 124 presets, and you should definitely check them out

as the HALion technology is amazing and most of these presets are quite impressive

Ok, still plugins, all the Cubase compressors, the Tube Compressor

the Vintage Compressor and the stock Compressor got a major facelift (stock NOT!, sorry)

now they look way cooler than before

It does not stop here, the added functionality is also very helpful

all three have a Mix parameter, so now you can achieve parallel compression

with just a single parameter, without any additional and complicated routings

And finally the tape simulator Magneto got a new graphics layout

and it is now called "mk III"

Cubase 9.5 comes with 130 FX Chain Presets

for all kinds of instruments groups, like Bass, Drums, Guitar, Synths, Vocals and more

Moreover, there are new Mastering Track Presets

25 for Cubase Artist and Elements users and an

additional 50 presets for Cubase Pro musicians

in all these genres like 70's, 80s', Classical, Country, EDM, Hip Hop, Indie, Pop and so on

Next one is not entirely new

it's a content update of the original Allen Morgan Signature Drums pack

you can find it here in the VST Sound container,

this Instrument Set Allen Morgan Signature Drums

This is completely reworked, the drum sounds are availble as one-shot samples

Then the loops are available as instantly usable and editable MIDI Loops

for the included Groove Agent SE4 drum plug-in

each kit has 5 pattern variations, of course you can make your own variations

and finally here are the Groove Agent presets without the MIDI files in this VST3 Presets

folder

so the same content can be used in different ways

Ok, now let's see some changes in the user interface of Cubase 9.5

The first one is a very handy feature called Adapt to Zoom

and you have to activate this feature in the Grid Type menu

The main point is: when Adapt to Zoom is active

the Grid and Snap settings are scaled according to the horizontal zoom level

to put it simply: the more you zoom in, the finer the Grid will become

you see, this is why it is adaptive

Adaptive zooming is independent from the quantize settings

and it works only when you are in Bars+Beats mode on the timeline

Fortunately it works in all the MIDI editors (Key, Drum or List editor)

and you have to activate Adapt to Zoom separately here, inside the editor

at the Grid Type dropdown

It is a great idea to assign it to a keycommand

so you can quickly change between the quantize grid and the adaptive grid

The next feature is a very simple thing, but probably the most important for me

and I am not kidding.

If you are an old time Cubase user

you certainly know that you could not set the playbar (this one)

to any position by just clicking on the background

you had to click up here in the Ruler area

Then later they introduced a Preferences option called

"Locate when Clicked in Empty Space", it was somehow better

but you couldn't set the Playbar to exact start of a beat or bar, so to any exact position

Now, with Cubase 9.5 you can hold a modifier key and click in the background

and according to the Grid Type you can position this playbar to exact locations

If I set to Beat, it always snaps to beats

when set to Bar, it always snaps to the nearest Bar

You can customize its modifier key here in the

Preferences > Tool Modifiers > Select Tool > Set Position

I set mine to Shift because that's the biggest key on my keyboard

and I use this feature a lot

Ohh , just keep it up, not much left :)

Next one is an interesting one, but it seems rather useless for me

but as this upgrade solves lots of user requests, it must have been a priority

To make it short, in the MIDI section of the Preferences you can set here

a range in ticks between 0 and 240 ticks

Ok, what is tick?

This is a technical term to express the MIDI resolution

and it means a 1/16th is 120 ticks, so actually one beat is 480 ticks

so you do not really have to change it

So, when playing a part like this, here is the exact part start

but as you see these notes starts outside of this MIDI part

because of the recording, but with the range set you can even play these early notes starting

outside

... so it still plays here... yeah, that's it

Another user interface tweak is restructuring

the long-long Device menu of the earlier Cubase versions

Now it is called Studio, so everything is arranged, renamed and grouped

in a much more logical way.

If you are a long-time Cubase user

first it is a bit confusing to find what you need, but then you will love it

Ok, just a few left, let's finish quickly

In the Studio > More Options > Time Display you can configure it

to show you the Show Beat Count Only...

so, this is like a visual Metronome like

1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4...1-2-3-4 If you double click it sets the optimal size

The one before the last, this is a small helper:

in the Input/Output Channel folder you will always find the Stereo Out of the mix

so you can directly add insert effects, like a glitch plug-in

you can automate any parameters affecting the whole mix, without any clumsy automation

tricks now

I inserted Loopmash FX here and can play realtime on the whole mix

[Looopmash FX applied to the played track]

And the last feature: now you can easily re-color Cubase!

Open Preferences > User Interface.

You can select pre-defined color schemes

or if you want something really special, select a single color

and all items of the program will automatically adapt to provide you a consistent look!

Well obviously this is not one

and this is not either

Well, let's change back to a preset

You can still modify here a few elements a bit

but the lack of too many settings will give you a more balanced visual feel

Ok, this was the last one, so to sum it up

After so many years, Steinberg finally listens to its customer base

and user feature requests are handled with priority

It is very likely that you'll run into some kind of bugs here and there

ok, I have to admit it happens to nearly every all first version DAWs these days

But remember: all these applications are incredibly complex

they have to work real-time, everything always in sync, following operating system changes

When I used to jump on the Cubase line at Cubase 4, man, that was terrible at that time

until like Cubase 7 or so

and I think things got much smoother around Cubase 8

In each new version Steinberg makes significant efforts to rewrite and simplify parts of Cubase

like now we can call the automation part really finished and awesome

So Cubase is basically quite stable and usable for serious work

even if new features, like now the Direct Offline Processing should be seriously fixed

Ok, so overall I think it is a very solid update with useful features

with things that can really improve your personal workflow

so it's absolutely worth the lower than usual update price

Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell (1990) - Movie Review - Duration: 6:10.

Hello b-movie lovers, I am Torstein from Cinema Terror and this is my review of the obscure

horror flick Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell!

Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell sees a group of, well, sorority girls head

up to a cabin for a weekend filled with alcohol and sex with whatever males that turn up.

And there are plenty of people who show up!

Frat guys and other random locals turn up for some reason and at the same time and close

by the cabin, an archaeologist unleashes an ancient evil indian spirit that takes the

form of a stone tiki wall I think?

It then proceeds to turns the archaeologist into a creature... from hell?

With the mission to bring fresh bodies to his new master.

That's the best I could make out of the story as this is not an easy film to follow.

The first half of it crams random scenes with the way too many characters this movie has

to offer and tries to give them all reasons for ending up in the cabin with all the sorority

babes.

As you can probably tell either by me trying to explain the plot or just the title of this

obscurity, Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell is an amateur production.

The production values on this thing is very low and the lack of experience certainly shows

in the shoddy way that this film is edited together.

It is strangely disjointed with how it goes from one scene to another.

There is so many random scenes that can only have been added to get a longer running time,

even if the more logical way to do this would be to extend scenes that actually has something

to do with the story or characters.

The film has awful audio dubbing that is unlike anything I have seen from an American film

before and the pacing and story structure, and I use the word structure lightly is also

way off.

The special effects are not that special and the kill scenes and hell creature are more laughable

than scary.

None of the characters matter at all and even though I started writing this only half an

hour after finishing the movie, I can only remember the name of one of them, Skippy.

And that's only because he was the most annoying one and hey, his name is Skippy!

And while you would have thought that the actual sorority babes would get the most screen

time, they actually don't, making them all end up being interchangable with no character

traits on their own.

Hell, there is even a serial killer on the loose in the film that just shows up in the

woods at random times, has little to none involvement in anything, and actually gets

away at the end.

Oh, and how does he get away to begin with?

He is able to get away when a prison guard gets distracted by one of the hot young sorority

babes is cycling past them.

The sorority girl with the most screen time, even if she is one of the first that are killed,

spends more time with the top off than on.

It literally goes from a scene with her topless in a hot tub to a new scene directly after

with her being topless in a hot tub once again.

Not gonna say that those two scenes are close to being the worst ones in the movie though.

Even if all the technical aspect of filmmaking might suck, this is an obvious love project

by an amateur filmmaker who probably was a big fan of horror and b-movies.

The love does show on the film and that does give it a certain charm that are not easy

to achieve.

The guy responsible for this mess is John McBrearty.

He is credited as the writer, producer, story, screenplay and of course as the director.

Oh, and he even has a small part in the film.

There's not much info the be found online regarding the guy or this movie, except that

he was thirty years old when he did the film and except for another small credit as an

actor, he doesn't seem to have been involved in any other films at all, not that that's

a shocker.

So I am gonna guess that this movie was his love project that he probably paid for himself

or by raising enough money locally, money that he unlikely was able to make back as

from what I could find out this movie only had a small VHS release from Complete Entertainment

in 1991.

And if you happen to have this VHS tape then take good care of it as I could find two completed

auctions of it on ebay, both going for over 100 dollars each.

Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell might be an awfully bad movie, but it is not

without its charm.

This is a movie for b-movie fans only as everyone else will hate sitting through this schlock.

I am a b-movie fan though and that has to reflect in my review and final score.

I would be lying if I didn't find this entertaining in a so-bad-its-good kind of way and I fell

for its odd cheesy charm.

Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell gets a higher than what it probably deserves

score of 2.5 out of 5.

Tredstep Medici FIeld Boot Review - Duration: 2:10.

DANIELLE: Hi, I'm Danielle from Marketing, and today I'll

be reviewing the Tredstep Medici Field Boots.

I bought these tall boots after not really showing for a year

and realizing that my custom tall boots no longer fit

and I couldn't really justify spending the money on another

pair of customs when I don't really show as much

as I used to. So I came across these boots and fell in love

with the way they fit. I honestly feel like I'm wearing

a pair of custom tall boots and I've gotten so many

compliments at horse shows about how good they look on my legs.

The leather is so soft. They were really easy to break

in and not painful at all. It took about two weeks

of wearing them every day for them to be fully broken in.

And now that they are I only wear them when I horse show.

One of the things that really differentiates these boots

from others is they're made from really high quality calf

skin leather which really makes them feel like custom boots.

Another great thing is the stretch panel

on the outside of the zipper that helps make them fit

like a glove. Another great thing about these

boots is they have TMI insoles which mold to your foot and make

it really comfortable to wear these all day.

They also have closures at the top and bottom

of the zippers to help keep the dirt out.

These boots would be perfect for any rider looking to show

at any level, but not looking to spend a lot of money.

I'm really particular when it comes to caring for my

tall boots so I don't actually ever put leather

cleaner on these. When I'm cleaning them I wipe

them down with a damp sponge after riding and then I polish

the heck out of them before a horse show and love how shiny

this leather gets. When ordering these boots,

you'll pick three things: you'll pick the foot size,

the calf size, and the height. For most boots, I wear seven and

a half size shoe and that's what I wear in these.

For the calf size, I went with a size regular.

I have pretty skinny ankles but about an average size calf which

is why it's so hard for me to wear stock boots.

But the great thing about these is the ankle is really contoured

so it makes them fit really great. For the height,

I went with a tall. I'm about 5' 7" and even after

the boots dropped they still fit really great.

3D BINAURAL AUDIO IS AMAZING! - 3Dio Free Space Review (Binaural Microphone with Ears) - Duration: 5:48.

As someone who has reviewed a crapload of microphones over the years, I've always

been super interested in the audio hardware used to create ASMR content.

One of the main, "face of ASMR", mics is this one right here: The 3Dio Free Space

binaural microphone.

I was super stoked to get to check it out for myself - and while most of it I won't

share publicly, it's been a lot of fun messing around trying to create my own ASMR triggers

and play with the audio channels.

The first thing you will notice about the microphone is its striking appearance.

The Primo EM172 microphone capsules are embedded into soft silicone ears designed to look and

act like real human ears.

This contributes to the overall ability of the Free Space to pick up sound naturally

as a human would actually hear it.

3Dio has a few different models available, with better microphones on the higher-priced

ones and XLR output options.

This base model just has a standard 3.5mm output jack, a bass roll-off switch, and a

power switch.

The mic is powered by a 9-volt battery inside - though they appear to have made it difficult

to replace for some reason.

And actually, overall, I find this whole product to have a… strange design situation.

In my unboxing, I noted that the audio cable itself was just thrown in the shipping box

and was not present in the actual product box.

Plus, the cable itself is only a couple inches long - which, combined with the weird placement

of the audio jack and completely inflexible mounting options, can make it difficult to

connect to a recorder.

You can use your own longer audio cable, of course, but it just seems weird.

The bottom of the microphone box features a standard microphone stand mount.

But you can't change it, you can't mount if from the top, or do… anything… with

it, without rigging something custom yourself.

I just feel like this kind of setup should be more flexible or adaptable.

Especially since - while intimate ASMR settings are a great use for this mic and all - a really

awesome use case for this mic would be getting audio out in nature or in big groups of people,

and situations like that with a mobile rig really need more mounting options.

Running and gunning with the mic would be much less noisy if it was mounted from the

top.

It is small and lightweight, though.

But how does it sound?

You're hearing it now.

As a vocal microphone, it's kind of thin.

Using the bass roll-off switch helps avoid unpleasant sounds to the ears, but further

loses any coloration to the sound.

This is great for real-world, bigger-picture soundscapes, but for normal talking levels

it can require some processing to truly sound "natural", to me at least.

The binaural effect is pretty good.

For one-on-one stuff like this, you're not going to notice the separation effect anywhere

near as much unless you get right up on top of it.

It's amazing for bigger-picture real-world sounds, however.

The key factor here is the mic's ability to remain low-noise so you can bring up whispers

and soft sounds without a noise floor.

There's still some light hiss to this mic with most recorders I've used, but it's

much better than what you'd get trying to just strap two cheaper mics side by side or

using the Blue Yeti's stereo mode for this.

I imagine the XLR model has even less self noise.

The 3Dio Free Space binaural microphone provides an entry point into the binaural or 3D audio

space that doesn't break the bank anywhere near as much as their higher-tier models or

other products I've seen, but still provides a competent setup.

I just wish the chassis itself had more mounting options and was a bit more flexible in nature.
