Love Island's Olivia Buckland reveals truth behind her and Alex Bowen's relationship

Fans were left shocked when this years Love Island winners, Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, called time on their relationship after just 132 days together.

Meanwhile, the Twittersphere was rocked when Stephanie Pratt posted explosive claims about Jonny Mitchell after what appeared to be a messy split.

In the same week, last years contestants Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton, alongside Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott who also broke up.

And third-place finalists Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood were left on rocky ground over claims that Chris had cheated on her while at a club night in Essex.

Now, Love Island babe Olivia Buckland has opened up about her relationship with Alex Bowen, with the pair tying the knot next year.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online at Londons Beautycon event, the 24-year-old explained: Its a really difficult world were in, its really hard to make it work.

Me and Alex have survived because hes just an angel.

Hes just a joke! I always say to him like, youre not from this planet, youre not a normal man! Hes just so respectful.

Its all about trust, and I think he really respects women because of his past and hes had such a good upbringing.

Were so lucky to have got that click. When asked whether she was ever concerned about cheating rumours when Alex went out to nightclubs for personal appearances, she replied: I would have worried about that a year ago, thats why I feel for Olivia Attwood.

I can empathise with her through that.

Alex was at a lot of clubs and you do get people trying to wind you up.

You cant really compare someone to another person, though.

Chris is his own person.

Its hard for her but its one of those things you have to go through.

You just have to get used to.

Unfortunately, in this industry, its just how it is. However, its not all doom and gloom for Love Island fans, with Olivia adding shes really excited for her wedding next year, having just sorted a florist and a cake.

She also told us that shes over the moon for BFF Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, after last years Love Islands winner rekindled with her boyfriend after she discovered she was expecting a baby.

Im so happy theyre back together, theyre adorable! she laughed.

This morning Cara made him breakfast even though shes due to give birth any day now.

Shes such a star.

Theyre both back together and theyre so excited for the baby.

But I feel like I'll come to Sydney every year, at least once."

He alludes to the fact that even though he loves the Australian city,

it's hard to see it all the time.

While he didn't mention Selena,

lots of fans paralleled his feelings for Sydney with his

emotions toward the "Bad Liar" singer.

No doubt the Starboy singer put efforts

in sustaining his relationship with Selena but

somethings are meant to happen

and we wholeheartedly accept it.

How can we have a relationship with God? | The Weekly - Duration: 2:20.

- Hey, one of the things I love about the scripture

is that God's made it so simple and so clear on how

we can have a relationship with him.

Hey, this is Jeremy with today's encouraging word.

In the midst of our sin, in the midst of our brokenness

that separates us from a Holy God, knowing we can't earn

our way to Heaven, we can't work hard enough to get

to Heaven, God did what we can't do ourselves,

and that's he sent Jesus Christ, fully God, fully human,

to go to the cross in our place, to die for our sins

that we can have access to a Holy God, a relationship

with a Holy God.

God has made it that simple and that easy and yet,

for us to do that, it's not comfortable.

Here's why.

Jesus put it this way.

In Luke 9: 23-24, "if anyone would come after me,

"let him deny himself and take up his cross daily

"and follow me."

"For whoever would save his life will lose it,

"but whoever loses his life or my sake will save it."

I love those words of Jesus, because he's saying,

you cannot be comfortable and in control

and follow me.

In other words, we have to surrender our wants,

our desires, our priorities.

Why, because those all change and they become the priority

of Jesus, the wants of Jesus, the desire of Jesus.

I encourage you with this because so many Christians

want to give their life to Jesus Christ

but remain in control and that's not

what the scripture says.

The scripture says that when we follow Jesus Christ,

he's in control of everything.

So today, I just want to encourage you by asking you,

where do you need to give God control of your time,

your talents, your treasure, your thoughts,

your attitude, anything?

Is there any area of your life where you say, you know what,

for me to truly follow Christ, according to the scriptures,

I just need to surrender control.
