[Heavy breathing]

Rapid breath.

The walls are falling in.

Caving in.

For an escape, I go to my room.

And then soon, it all becomes clear.

That the more I reflect on the many things I've come to neglect

have all piled in that room.

I look.

Guitar.

What do I have you for?

I mean, don't you deserve to play instead of sit.

Play in the hands of someone momentarily more capable

of putting your strings to good use along with the rest of the stuff in the kit?

Clothes, boxes, equipment.

The endless phobia.

But there must be a link.

So I take a moment.

I think.

Storage

Store. Age.

Two words that when apart might be a problem, but when used together might be a way to a solution.

Store: A blessing.

A curse.

Filled with everything I need, but containing problems from sights unseen.

I take things home and some are used immediately, repeatedly.

While others not even allowed to roam.

Age: Being aged.

Sitting side-by-side.

Lifeless.

Motionless.

Colorless.

Destructing your vision as far as the eye can see.

But just as any agitator, aggressor, oppressor would be, filled with problems from within

that are shallow and hollow.

Unexpectedly.

Momentary.

Change.

It's time for a change.

Me.

My space.

And I, I have said this all before.

But after so many countless yesterdays, todays, tomorrows.

Today is the day my things will finally be unpacked.

But no, no, no.

They're not moving in, but out.

Out to that Public Storage bin.

I Love Organizing: A poem by Corky Saint Clair.

That's me!

One day my mom moved by bed from my room.

She said: "I need this space, we're moving soon!"

So day by day, and hour by hour, she stacked up

big boxes into a tall tower.

But nothing was labeled, and it was all out of wack.

And my mom didn't know what was in each box or stack.

And when something went missing, she'd look all around,

and stacks of big boxes would come tumbling down.

That's it, I barked!

I've had enough!

You need to label things and organize your stuff!

And she understood, yeah I didn't shudder.

So she began to go through things and declutter.

She organized every box and labeled them by room.

Then the towers came down, not a moment too soon.

And she was so happy, when moving day came.

With her organized boxes, it wasn't a pain.

So I love organizing, yeah I'm a big fan.

I'd do it myself, but I don't hands.

NRA's 24/7 TV channel turns public anger toward streaming companies - Duration: 1:41.

The mainstream media love mass shootings.

The mainstream media love mass shootings.

90% or more of the racial problems that we have in this country are manufactured by the left.

I myself had said, arm the gays after this.

The liberals in America and ISIS, they both hate America.

Bushmaster for instance was blamed for Sandy Hook.

That's like blaming kleenex for the flu.

These hateful leftist reporters are willing to let America burn in their quest to remove

President Trump.

They support an agenda to disarm women and they love exploiting rape survivors when it

suits them.

Barak Obama's presidency set race relations back 100 years in this country.

This is an anti-American movement.

They want to simply profit off hate.

This racial tension, this racial hatred that is being foisted on the American culture by

the Black Lives Matter crowd.

So I have only one explanation for why Don Lemon would say something like this, Grant.

And the only explanation I can come up with is he's a malignant racist who thinks that

white people are not smart enough to understand the big words that black guys like you and Barak Obama understand.

So how do you like that pal?

The Hinckley Report | Federal Protection of Public Lands & Local Legislators - Duration: 3:33.

Jason Perry: So, one bill that is making some

waves this week is House Bill 136.

Which essentially said that no local

official can go and advocate for

federal protections of public lands.

Mike Noel's been thinking about this.

Max what is the rationale for keeping

these local officials from advocating?

Max Roth: Well the rationale that

Rep. Mike Noel from Kanab gave

in the meeting was, and this I believe

is a direct quote: "We are the experts."

The members of that committee,

they've considered these things and if a local

group, the Moab City Council or the Kanab

City Council or the county commission in

Kane County wants to do something,

well they should go -- they need to go --

to the experts on the House Natural Resources,

Agriculture, & Environment Committee first before

they can advocate for new Federal protections.

Jennifer Napier-Pearce: I'm sorry, this is so

patronizing and it's so undemocratic

and it's so non-inclusive.

I'm not sure where he thinks this is going to

go, but it's beyond the pale,

I think, even for Mike Noel.

I respect him in many ways,

but this one I don't understand why he

would want to stifle local voices?

It runs counter to all the local control

arguments we've heard in the

public lands debate in particular.

Rep. Steve Eliason: So interestingly,

I kind of have a bill for this.

It's the State Monuments Act.

And we have no mechanism in Utah

to designate our own state monuments.

So, this bill would create that mechanism

and as part of it, we actually ask the local

officials to weigh in if we're proposing

a state monument in their area.

Jennifer Napier-Pearce: So on the state

monument side you're okay with local officials,

but Rep. Noel is saying "Well if it's a federal

issue, we don't want to hear from you."

Max Roth: It's still an issue.

Rep. Steve Eliason: I'm just going to say

State Monuments Bill, that's a good bill.

Jennifer Napier-Pearce: Way to deflect. I like it.

Max Roth: The other thing that happened

though in this committee meeting,

which really caused a lot of raised eyebrows

and then came to my attention.

So I did a report, just looking at,

or listening to the audio of this meeting,

is that the Committee Chair, Kevin Stratton,

and it's in the law, he can ask

to do this, asked all people making

public comment to swear an oath to tell the truth.

And they swore an official oath.

Now the fact is, there was one lobbyist who

supported the bill who swore the oath,

Lincoln Shirts, who we know who's been up

there for a long time, who said,

"In my 18 years up here I've never done that

before Mr. Chair, thank you."

And then the only person against the bill

was a man named Willie Grayeyes.

He is the chair of Dine Bikeyah and lives

on Navajo Mountain and so as Willie Grayeyes

spoke against this bill, the the Chair Stratton

gave Mike Noel the chance to rebut

what Grayeyes had said and what Noel said was,

'My understanding is that Mr. Grayeyes' bill,

Dine Bikeyah, is funded by the Southern Utah

Wilderness Alliance' and he said we need to,

and there are people and there's a person with

that group who is a known liar - and he also

said further down in the discussion,

"Environmental groups can't be trusted," essenstially.

And it shows a remarkable distrust

on the environment committee

against this entire category of people.

Jason Perry: Very interesting conversation,

we'll watch this bill - thank you for insights.

Bay Crossing Study Online Public Scoping Meeting - Duration: 13:06.

Hello, I am Kevin Reigrut, Executive Director

of the Maryland Transportation Authority (or MDTA)

the agency that owns, operates and maintains

Marylands eight toll facilities, including the

William Preston Lane, Jr., Memorial Bridge, more commonly known as the Bay Bridge.

The MDTA is committed to providing premium transportation facilities and superior customer

customer service.

We are unique in that were affiliated with

but independent from state government

because we do not receive funding from the general fund

or the transportation trust fund.

We are self-sufficient and receive no tax dollars.

We are pleased that you have taken the time to

join us for our presentation about the MDTAs

Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study:

Tier One NEPA -- commonly referred to as the Bay Crossing Study.

Last year, Governor Larry Hogan

announced that MDTA would begin a study to identify the

location of a new crossing, with consensus from

Eastern Shore counties, since state law

requires a majority of them to agree.

The study also will explore potential funding options

for a new Chesapeake Bay crossing.

During his announcement, the Governor identified the

Tier 1 study as the critical first step needed

to address existing and future traffic congestion

on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and its approaches.

This certainly is just the beginning of a long process,

with the Bay Crossing Study expected to continue into 2020.

This presentation will include a Project Overview,

including the study area and schedule

and officially begins the public involvement process.

Public input is extremely important,

and we will be seeking your comments regularly

during the various stages of the project.

We encourage you to provide initial comments and feedback

through December 15

by visiting the Public Involvement page

of the project website baycrossingstudy.com.

We also will be accepting written comments at

each of the satellite locations tonight.

So, why is this study important?

The Bay Crossing Study has far-reaching interest

to millions of motorists and residents.

Because this process will be open and transparent,

to reach Marylands residents and visitors

who use the bridge for business and pleasure,we decided to host a web-based on-line meeting

at this point in the study.

The online meeting is designed to maximize participation

by making it as convenient as possible to join the meeting.

This format provides everyone the opportunity

hear and see the same information at the same time.

This presentation is being broadcast tonight via:

the project website

baycrossingstudy.com,

and at six satellite locations throughout Maryland,

to accommodate those who may not be

able to view this at home.

It will also be available online at the project website and at

the project website and

at mdta.maryland.gov after tonight,

if you would like to revisit the information

or share with your neighbors, friends or co-workers.

Information provided at the satellite locations is identical

to what is being presented to you now.

So where do we go from here?

This study is just beginning,

so we dont have all of the answers to your questions yet!

Our intent is to seek your comments and input

as we embark on scoping this comprehensive study lasting into 2020.

As the study progresses, we will provide regular updates on the website,

by email, and at other in-person public and online meetings.

If you are a member of a community group

that would like to meet with the project team,

please email your request to info@baycrossingstudy.com.

I would now like to introduce Heather Lowe.

Heather is MDTAs Bay Crossing Study Project Manager.

Thank you Kevin!

So, how do we tackle such a large and complicated study?

The Bay Crossing Study will accomplish two things:

-identify the corridor for a new crossing,

and assess potential financial viability.

It will include scoping - which is where we are right now in the process.

Scoping is the period in which the study team,

Federal and State agencies and the public

collaborate to define the range of issues

and possible corridor alternatives to be addressed

in the Environmental Impact Statement

also referred to as an EIS.

In our case this will be a Tier 1 EIS.

During the Tier 1 EIS, we will conduct a broad review of the issues

in order to advance a more manageable study

when Tier 2 is ready to begin.

The Tier 1 EIS will include: - the Purpose and Need statement

including the needs we expect to address

based on an evaluation of current and future traffic demand

across the Chesapeake Bay,

corridor alternative analysis and screening,

and environmental impact analyses.

We also will have regular opportunities for public and agency involvement.

The study is scheduled to be completed in 2020.

Before we get too far into the current study,

its important to revisit prior studies

and provide a bit of background on the bridge itself.

The crossing we commonly refer to as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

is actually two bridges,

is actually two bridges,

and the second opened in 1973.

The location of the existing crossing was selected in the 1930s

based on a number of factors, including the growing state highway network,

ship navigation, and access to the lower Eastern Shore.

Since the initial construction in 1952,

population and job growth has increased significantly on both sides of the Bay,

resulting in an increase in the volume

of traffic that travels over the bridge - as many of you have experienced personally.

There have been numerous studies and updates over the years

to address congestion and delays at the Bay Bridge.

Some efforts to address congestion include:

the use of contra-flow, or reversible lanes, during peak periods;

the implementation of E-ZPass and E-ZPass dedicated lanes,

and extensive promotional and educational efforts

aimed at encouraging motorists to travel during off-peak periods.

In 2001, the MDTA initiated a study of transportation and safety needs

associated with the existing Bay Bridge,

which were documented in the 2004 Transportation Needs Report.

In response to the many complex and sensitive issues to be considered,

a Task Force was convened in 2005 to examine the range of issues

and help educate stakeholders about the need for additional capacity across the Bay.

The goal of the Task Force was not to determine a solution,

, but rather to highlight and understand the complex issues

associated with improving capacity across the Bay.

Subsequent studies evaluated the potential for transit or ferry service

to provide capacity and alleviate congestion.

This Tier 1 NEPA study will consider all of those previous efforts.

It will include traffic, engineering and environmental assessments

and identify a corridor for future capacity expansion across the Bay.

The study will be a formal regulatory process

that will require Federal concurrence at key project milestones.

Now let me talk a little more about the study process

A Tier 1 EIS, which is part of a two-tiered process,

will be prepared by the MDTA in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration.

An EIS is a comprehensive study of likely environmental impacts

resulting from major federally-assisted projects.

The two-tiered process will allow us to narrow the scope of this complex project

prior to more detailed analysis in a future Tier 2 study.

One of the most important steps is developing what we call the Purpose and Need,

which sets the stage for the rest of the study.

Based on the MDTAs initial review,

the purpose of the Bay Crossing Study is to consider multiple corridors

for providing additional traffic capacity and access across the Chesapeake Bay.

MDTA anticipates that the study will address needs such as:

Adequate capacity, Dependable and reliable travel times,

and Flexibility to accommodate future maintenance and rehabilitation,

while taking into consideration financial viability

and environmental responsibility.

We are seeking your input on the Studys Purpose and Need during this comment period.

The regional analyses undertaken during Tier 1

will involve evaluation of approximately one-mile wide corridors across the Bay using broad-scale

engineering and environmental information.

We will study many different elements of the surrounding natural and human environment,

existing and future traffic operations,

potential benefits and impacts of the large scale corridors,

and obtain public input throughout the process.

The Tier 1 EIS

will result in a Record of Decision, or ROD,

that documents the selection of a corridor alternative

that best meets the study purpose and need.

Following the Tier 1 study, a Tier 2 study would identify specific alignments

within the corridor alternative that we identify in Tier 1,

and would include more detailed engineering design of alternatives

and assessment of potential environmental impacts.

Its important for the MDTA to think about where a new crossing might be built

since a project like this is very expensive

and can have extensive impacts (both positive and negative).

People have been talking about a new crossing for years,

but this is the first real, tangible step toward doing it.

Weve identified a study area

that includes the entire length of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland,

spanning approximately 100 miles from the northern end near Havre de Grace

to the southern border with Virginia near Point Lookout, Maryland.

Corridors will be identified within this broad study area.

As Ive mentioned, were just at the beginning of the study,

so we want to “stop, look, and listen†at every stage of our process and get your

input.

The first thing we need to focus on is the study area

and the many transportation and environmental issues within it

At this time we are seeking your input on the scope of issues that MDTA will consider

in the Tier 1 EIS.

For frame of reference,

we have identified six broad sub-areas to help focus your comments.

Based on early analysis and public and agency input from this and future meetings,

we will then identify approximately one-mile wide corridors

that best address the purpose and need for the project.

We will be studying the full range of environmental issues including:

-Natural Resources, Socioeconomic Resources,

Cultural Resources and Historic Properties,

Air Quality, Noise, and Hazardous Materials.

As we mentioned earlier, the project is now in the scoping phase.

The end of the scoping comment period is December 15th, 2017.

We also will provide opportunities for public comment

at different milestones throughout the study,

including in the spring of 2018

when we will host public workshops to present the corridor screening criteria

and Purpose and Need.

In 2019, we will identify which corridors we keep for further analysis.

The results of the analysis will be presented in a Draft Tier 1 EIS

and at public hearings in the fall of 2019,

and a final preferred corridor

will be identified and presented in the Final Tier 1 EIS in 2020.

The study is expected to be completed with a Record of Decision in 2020.

Thank you, Heather.

This concludes our presentation.

We welcome your comments because your input is very important to us!

You can submit your comments through the on-line comment form

located on the public involvement page

of baycrossingstudy.com.

You also may fill out a comment form at one of the satellite meetings.

Please remember, the comment period for the scoping phase

will end on December 15, 2017.

However, there will be many other opportunities to send input to us

at other project milestones throughout the study, as Heather mentioned.

Make sure to sign up to receive project updates

on the Stay Connected page of baycrossingstudy.com.

I want to thank you again for taking the time to join us

and get involved in this project.

Trendscenario Dutch Public Health Foresight study - Duration: 1:02.

VOICE-OVER: The VTV-2018 explores the future.

If we continue down the current path without change,

what will our public health look like in 2040?

Due to aging, there will be one and a half million more seniors than at present.

We are living longer, and the life expectancy keeps increasing.

Diseases of old age, like dementia, will increase substantially.

Health care expenditures will continue to rise,

as the population ages and medical options keep growing.

We will smoke less, but we will be more overweight.

Different population groups will be affected differently.

Many people will have a disease and often several at the same time.

Even so, we don't feel less healthy.

The Trendscenario shows which challenges we face.

The VTV explores how we can deal with them.

Using the Court of Public Opinion to prevent bad publicity from tainting or biasing a jury pool - Duration: 3:23.

An attorney litigating a case that's likely to go to trial needs to be

concerned than any adverse publicity before the trial could impact the way

jurors deliberate and how they find for that client. Bad publicity before trial

could taint or bias jurors and pollute their minds. In this episode, I'll tell

you how engaging the Court of Public Opinion can help prevent those problems.

I'm Wayne Pollock and you're watching CopoTalk. In this

episode, how engaging the Court of Public Opinion could help prevent jurors from

being biased and tainted by adverse publicity before they even walk into

court. Oftentimes, the news media is not

favorable to defendants in cases. Oftentimes, news reports give the benefit of

the doubt to plaintiffs. That's a problem because before a juror comes into a

a courtroom, they've had the benefit of reading article after article after

article about the alleged wrongdoing on the part of the defendant. Many times

defendants don't properly rebut that bad publicity in the Court of Public Opinion.

When they don't, these jurors have a preconceived notion of the defendant

even when a judge tells these jurors to disregard everything they've heard

outside of court and that the particular case will be decided only on evidence

properly admitted into the court. By engaging the Court of Public Opinion and

by helping to rebut adverse publicity on behalf of -- against a client, an attorney

and client can help cleanse that taint and prevent jurors from having

preconceived notions about defendants that are harmful to those defendants'

chances. Defendants should always be thinking "Who might be covering this

lawsuit?" If there's publicity about a lawsuit

then you know who's going to be covering it because they

probably covered it. You want to make sure that you are telling the defendant's side

of the story—whether it's through online media, typical news media, or social media.

By getting out a defendant's story, you can help jurors have a more equal view

of the parties, as opposed to an unfavorable view of the defendant and

presumably a favorable view of the plaintiff. When engaging the Court of

Public Opinion from a defense perspective, you want to make your claims.

You want to deny the allegations and factual claims. You want to avoid using

terms like "We will vigorously defend our case" because it doesn't say anything. You

want to give people a reason to believe why you didn't do anything wrong. And if

you do that, you can use the Court of Public Opinion to help undo and prevent

any taint or bias in the minds of jurors due to previous publicity they've been

exposed to before court. If you liked this episode, please check out our

YouTube channel and subscribe. CopoStrategies.com is our website.

Copocetic.com is our blog. Please check out our social media feeds. Until next time,

I'm Wayne Pollock.Thanks for watching.

Luke Pollard: WASPI Women Public Meeting 26 February 2018 - Duration: 1:38.

Hello Plymouth Luke Pollard here, I'm your Member of Parliament. This Friday I'm hosting an

open public meeting for women born in the 1950s to discuss their pensions. The

Government's changed the rules around pensions which means women are getting

it later, but they weren't told about this. So there are 8,000 women called WASPI

women in Plymouth who have had their pensions delayed, but they weren't told

about it. That means they weren't able to plan

financially, they weren't able to retire at the right point and it's leading to

hardship and real economic difficulties for many of them. That's why I'm hosting

this open public meeting. So on Friday night this week at the Muse Theatre at

Lipson Co-operative Academy, I'm hosting a public meeting from 6:30 to 8 o'clock.

If you're affected by this pension injustice please come along. If you were

born in the 1950s and you're women, you probably are affected and what I'm

discovering from raising this issue in Parliament is there are more and more

women in Plymouth who are only now just learning about this inequality and this

injustice. Government hasn't done enough to promote that change in pensions, they

haven't taken the responsibility for getting it wrong and admitted their

faults and I'm going to keep continuing to campaign on this issue in Westminster,

but I need your help, your experience. That's why I'm hosting this public

meeting. Friday night, 6:30 at the Muse Theatre at Lipson Co-operative Academy.

Hope you can make it. Thanks very much Plymouth, see you soon!

I must confess, this room's a mess.

A sock a rock, a clock, a croc.

There's nothing worse than the aching thirst to tidy up and heard the flock.

I sat on a stair, with a palm in my hair, as

I gaze amidst a cluttered armchair.

I said: "This is enough!"

As I rushed away, for this is the day that I will clean up.

Greasy old box fans, rusty old paint cans, unsightly decor.

Need I say more?

Gifts from old flames, we won't mention names.

I'll store it away tight in a unit just right.
