In this video the best FAMILY hotels in Gran Canaria, based on
hours of online research and my own visit to over 100 hotels in Gran Canaria
Let's get started right away with the first one.
Gloria Palace San Agustin Thalasso & Hotel is one of the larger hotels in San Agustin.
Because of this it has much to offer like the largest Thalassotherapy Spa Center in
Europe but also a variety of pools.
The main pool is centrally located in the hotel surrounded by a large selection of different
sunbeds, including Balinese style beds, as well as the pool bar and miniclub close by.
If you are looking for a more relaxed vibe, there is also an adults only pool on the roof
from where you have amazing views over the surrounding area.
The Gloria Palace San Agustin has much to offer for the entire family from relaxing
to active holidays.
Know that there are many different room options in this hotel so make sure you select the
right one for you.
So before I move on to the next hotel, know that all these hotels are in very different
price categories but all offer great value for money.

Sol Barbacan is a 4 star very surprising apartments and bungalow complex in Playa del Ingles.
From the outside it looks kinda weird, but once inside the hotel it offers loads to discover.
There are several great pools spread out over the area, including an adults only pool and
kids pool, and also tennis and many other sports fields.
This complex is very family friendly because of its layout, but also the many activities
on offer.
There is a large activity program for the entire family.
I would definitely advice having a look at the Sol Barbacan bungalows as they look ideal
for families.
The Radisson Blue Resort & Spa Gran Canaria Mogan is a brand new modern hotel build in
2016.
The whole hotel is very open fresh and clean and has different pools spread out over the
entire area.
There is the main pool but also a dedicated pool for children with wet bubble slides loads
of other fun stuff.
On the other side of the hotel away from all the kids there is also an adults only pool
for if you would want to relax.
In the hotel Radisson Blue Resort & Spa Gran Canaria Mogan there are also 2 different restaurants
located poolside, 1 general buffet restaurant as well as a dedicated Italian restaurant.
The hotel also offer a mini club, volleyball and other sports fields as well as a rock
climbing wall.
Riu Papayas is a 4 star all inclusive hotel in Playa del Ingles, great for the entire
family.
This hotel also has been updated into the fresh and modern hotel it is now.
Within the hotel you will find loads of entertainment for adults and kids, mini club, playground
and volleyball field.
There is also a choice of pools including 1 for kids with slides and fun things for
them to play with right next to the mini club.
If you get hungry there is a choice of all inclusive restaurants to choose from like
the Spanish and Asian themed restaurants included in your all inclusive package.
In the evening on the main stage you will find mini club for the kids as well as shows
for the entire family.
Servatur Waikiki is an all inclusive hotel for the entire family.
It recently got a complete refresh and offers loads of facilities for a great holiday like
a playground and mini club for the kids, an adults only pool with jacuzzi, many sports
fields and a large kids play pool with slides.
Also the hotel Servatur Waikiki has a large activity and entertainment program both in
the day and night time.
So all in all a great holiday choice for an all inclusive family holiday in Playa del
Ingles.

The hotel Riu Vistamar is 4 star hotel for the entire family recently completely renovated
and updated set on the cliff sides of Puerto Rico.
From the hotel you have amazing views over the Playa de Amadores and ocean and if you
wish go visit the beach there is an easy shuttle bus that will take you there from the hotel.
This Riu Vistamar has everything you could wish for a family holiday like 2 different
pools, dedicated kids pool, a choice of restaurants, mini club, playground and a large selection
of sports fields and great day and night time entertainment.
The hotel also offers 24 hours all-inclusive package.
Seaside Palma Beach is a 5 star hotel close to the dunes of Maspalomas in the Meloneras
area of Gran Canaria.
I really liked the gardens in this hotel.
It is much more green and lush then some of the other hotels in this area and everything
is spread out over a large area, so it does not feel crowded.
This hotel was for a part undergoing updates and improvements during my last visit so I
am confident they will keep on offering great holidays for the coming years.
If you want a 5 star hotel with a relaxed vibe and that is great for the entire family,
the hotel Seaside Palm Beach might be a great choice for you.
Taurito Princess is a 4 star hotel with great views right next to the beach.
So it's not only a good choice for people who like to enjoy a holiday on the beach but
also offers a lot in the hotel.
There is entertainment in the day and evening for adults and children as well as a choice
of pools, including a kids pool with slides for the little ones.
The Taurito Princess rooms were recently refurbished to make the hotel even better.
Do keep in mind that there are different types of rooms, so make sure you pick the right
one for you.
The 4 star Riu Clubhotel Gran Canaria in the Meloneras area of Maspalomas is a great family
holiday hotel.
It offers everything you could wish for like many different pools, including a kids pool
with slides, several adults only pools and the infinity pool next to to ocean and promenade.
If you want your own private pool you can also opt in for the swim up suites with ocean
view.
Being a typical club hotel, there is entertainment day and night for kids, teenagers and adults.
So all in all a great family holiday hotel in Gran Canaria.

What Can You Do If Your Hotel Room Has Bed Bugs?

Hotel and vacation rental owners and managers owe a duty of care
under common law to provide a clean and safe place for their guests.
There are many state laws to protect the rights of guests from bed bug infestations
and the injuries and property damage they cause.
Common types of compensation for bed bug bites at hotels:
Medical and emergency room expenses.
Future cost of medical care including
General Pain and suffering.
Property damage, including infested clothing and luggage.
Recovery for lost time at work and loss of future income due to long-term disability.
Some hotels didn't have in place or implement protocols and procedures for bed bugs prevention.
So these are some of the things you should do to collect evidence:
Use the plastic cup to trap and catch any bedbug you find.
Take a picture or make a video clip with your phone:
-Of the bites on your body -Of any blood on the sheets -Of crushed insects -Of stains from their waste
-And how you trapped them.
Try and get the hotel staff to come and have a look to acknowledge the evidence.
Ask that they put all your luggage in a deep freeze (bed bugs are killed by -5°C / 23°F) for over 24 hours

It could be you that brought the eggs or live bedbugs with you
with your luggage from the plane or taxi.
So, give them a chance!
Let the hotel try and resolve the issue first.
Let them try to accommodate you so you feel comfortable.
Ask for your money back, and usually, it will not be disputed from the hotel.
If they do argue, then threaten them with exposure.
Ask to change rooms, or even change hotels if that's possible.
Submit the hotel name at The Bed Bug Registry or BedBugReports.com
Leave a review. Keep in mind that a negative review could be extremely damaging to a hotel's business.
Very often the hotels are pretty clean, and previous guests have carried the bedbugs along with them.
