[How you doing today?]

>>Imagine what outdoor recreation

and tourism would be like in Minnesota

without public land?

>>My favorite piece of public land is Blue Mounds State Park,

and it's just this open expanse of prairie

that's interrupted by this very large, red, quartzite wall…

it's also great for rock climbing,

which I enjoy doing down there.

>>Minnesota's public lands are the backbone

of a vast, world-class recreation system

that stretches from border to border

and provides a playground for millions of users,

whether they're atop a horse

or ATV,

wearing a pair of hiking boots

or a riding a bike.

>>Cuyuna's been ranked in the world in the top 20,

…top 20 trails in the world.

In the state of Minnesota it's consistently ranked number one.

>>Without public lands camping and hiking

would be a lot different for the state's 10 million

state park and recreation area visitors.

[sound of snowmobiles]

Snowmobilers wouldn't have

thousands of miles of trails to ride.

And about 1.7 million hunters and anglers wouldn't have

as many places to pursue a grouse or launch a boat.

>>After my daughter shot her first grouse

this season with her dad...

more than ever public land and the persistence of public land,

and the public ownership

has become more and more important every day.

>>Public lands are often

the only outdoor recreation option

for citizens who do not own land.

They are particularly important in areas of Minnesota,

like western and southern Minnesota,

where most land is private.

>>I utilize public lands about 80 percent of the time

while hunting and fishing and hiking,

and I've pheasant hunted on public land,

I've deer hunted…

I utilize several public lakes,

I take my dogs for walks and I have picnics in parks…

so I do just about everything on public land.

>>Public lands generate spending in every corner of the state

and play a vital role in Minnesota's economy.

The numbers are impressive.

Trail users, for example, spent $3.3 billion,

contributed $2.8 million in local taxes,

and accounted for 43,000 jobs in 2008.

>>The mountain bike trails in the Cuyuna Country

State Recreation Area, as a whole

have impacted this community in a very large way.

In six years, six years ago the mountain bike trails opened,

six years later we have 15 new businesses on Main Street

in Crosby and Ironton, Cuyuna, Deerwood and Riverton.

It's been huge!

[sound of tire on rocks]

>>But it's not all about numbers...

it's about experiences…

for all of us.

>>I think it's really important for people,

the people of Minnesota

to know that this public land is for you!

Your Public Lands - clean water - Duration: 3:34.

[♪]

Clean water is essential to Minnesotans' lives,

but did you know that your public lands

play a major role in keeping our water clean?

From the public forests of the northern watersheds

to the grasslands of southern Minnesota,

public lands help filter our water

and keep it clean for sustaining our economy.

[sound of water over rocks ]

>>The Upper Mississippi watershed

and all of its public land

and its high-quality watersheds with that public land,

really protect drinking water through the Mississippi

as it goes down through the rest of the state,

including the city of St. Cloud,

with its drinking water intake on the Mississippi,

as well as Minneapolis and St. Paul

getting their drinking water from the river.

>>It's also fact that public lands

buffer the impacts of floods,

and help protect the groundwater we drink.

In southern Minnesota, Worthington is a good example

of how public lands have benefited

a town's water supply.

>>The community of Worthington has suffered with water scarcity

pretty much since its inception, so it's always been…

we've always deemed it a very critical resource

and something that absolutely needs to be protected.

>>For several years, Worthington Public Utilities

has worked with its local Pheasants Forever chapter

and numerous other partners

to protect land that supplies the city's drinking water.

The soils around the wells are highly permeable,

meaning potential pollution can quickly reach the groundwater.

Once protected, the land is moved into the state's

Wildlife Management Area system,

not only protecting water, but creating wildlife habitat.

>>We've had huge support from the elected officials,

the appointed officials,

it's just been a groundswell of support…

everyone sees the value and in addition

the collaboration and the partnerships

that have been developed

between the wildlife organizations

the watershed district…

>>In other parts of the state, public lands help keep

our cherished lakes and streams clean.

That helps lots of species of wildlife survive,

including fish,

which benefits about 1.7 million hunters and anglers.

>>Clean water from a fisherman's perspective,

certainly from a trout perspective,

that's everything…

if you don't have clean… clean, cold water,

you will not have trout, period.

So that's why public lands are vital to ensuring that

providing that, it's really a product of the land.

>>Clean water is important for drinking,

for sustaining our economy

and for quality habitat for fish and other animals.

But public lands also provide access to that clean water.

>>As a sportsman,

it's really important to me and my family

to be able to get out there and fish,

and what is great about public lands

is you don't have to be a millionaire…

I mean these are our public lands,

they're our lands, not the DNR's…

they're the citizen's lands.

The University of Memphis School of Public Health - MHA Leadership - Duration: 4:14.

After we finish this program, we are going to be professionals, we are going to be working

in hospitals, and we are expected to act as such so I think these are really important

to get us prepared for those positions.

Everyone in a health care environment is a leader.

They are a leader for service, they are a leader for quality and teaching those traits

as part of a core curriculum is very important.

We need graduates, we need professionals who know how to lead in a dynamic environment

and so we train them on that.

FOR OVER 25 YEARS, THE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS HAS INCORPORATED

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AS PART OF THE MASTER OF HEALTH ADMINISTRATION CURRICULUM.

TAUGHT BY INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS, THE DAY ONE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS LEARN

THE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS THAT THEY WILL NEED TO SUCEED.

The day one for resume and interviewing skills is to help ensure that they've got the right

skill set and are looking at framing their resume correctly as well as offering an interview

tips and guides.

Everything from how to dress for success, how to network, etiquette dinners, everything.

It has been helpful because coming into the program those are leadership skills that we

need to have and it is nice that the program takes time to set those things up for us.

Our program puts a huge emphasis on leadership building and that starts as soon as we get

to the program with Team Trek.

THE TEAM LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE OCCURS OFF CAMPUS, BEFORE THE STUDENTS BEGIN THE PROGRAM.

A lot of it is collaborative working environments we need to understand how people learn how

people are able to communicate with one another and team track really allowed us to be able

to kind of figure out like I said each other's strengths and weaknesses so we could move

forward and progress from there.

THE STUDENTS WORKED TOGETHER ON THINGS LIKE TRUST FALLS, COLLABORATIVE PUZZLES AND BUILDING

A BOAT TO GET THE GROUP ACROSS THE WATER.

In health care you work very closely with teams and it's very team oriented and it helps

to know everyone on your team and who you're working with.

We were all excited to be able to experience some of the different challenges that were

presented as a class and so when we returned to our school and started day one of our classroom

setting we were all so close.

It was a very great opportunity to get to know the class terms of personalities perspectives

how to deal with people and really just kind of apply.

A proactive approach to dealing with different situations different problems.

It really is a family and so I think that is the biggest thing that you get is you come

in and you have a family right beside you know it is going to help you throughout the

program.

We train them how to work in those teams we train them how to respond to change and not

just to respond but to thrive in an environment like that.

Being accountable to ourselves and to one another and I think that's a like a lifelong

lesson one that I try to teach my teams at work and also my children at home.

FROM THE TEAM LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE AT THE BEGINNING OF THEIR MHA PROGRAM, TO LEADERSHIP

LESSONS THROUGHOUT THEIR TIME AT THE UOFM, STUDENTS ARE PREPARED TO MANAGE CHANGE AND

BE LEADERS AS SOON AS THEY START THEIR CAREERS.

Applying all of those skills that we learned in team truck in day one in the M.H.A. program

as a whole is certainly certainly been a beneficial part of the program and certainly helped us

in our everyday life and day to day duties and here at LifeLinc.

We need excellently trained health care leaders we need people who are prepared to go out

and work in that system change that system innovate that part of our economy and this

master of Health Administration Degree especially an accredited one from CAHME helps to assure

that our students are trained prepared at an exceptional level to be able to go out

and make the changes in the world that they want to see.

I feel that I'm going to be very prepared I think the University of Memphis has equipped

and with all the tools that I will need to pursue.

My career whatever that may be in the future I think that the University of Memphis has

prepared me incredibly for my future.

After a Decade, the Truth About Barack Obama Goes Public - Duration: 17:38.

After a Decade, the Truth About Barack Obama Goes Public

BREAKING: Barack Obama is undoubtedly in full panic mode right now after new documents came

out that expose how he colluded with the FBI and CIA to take Donald Trump down.

Fox News reported that newly released text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok

and Lisa Page indicate that there was a coordination between high-ranking officials at the Obama

White House, CIA, FBI, Justice Department and former Senate Democratic leadership in

the early phases of the investigation into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign

and Russia.

GOP congressional investigators say that this new information "strongly" suggests collusion

between former President Barack Obama's Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, then-Senate

Democratic Leader Harry Reid, and CIA Director John Brennan.

The investigators added that this directly contradicts Obama administration's public

stance about its hand in the process.

On August 2, 2016, Strzok texted Page, "Make sure you can lawfully protect what you sign.

Just thinking about congress, foia, etc.

You probably know better than me."

The next day, Strzok wrote another text to Page talking about how former FBI Deputy Director

Andrew McCabe was concerned with "information control" related to the initial investigation

into the Trump campaign.

Days later, Strzok again texted Page, "Internal joint cyber cd intel piece for D, scenesetter

for McDonough brief, Trainor [head of FBI cyber division] directed all cyber info be

pulled.

I'd let Bill and Jim hammer it out first, though it would be best for D to have it before

the Wed WH session."

The GOP investigators explained that in these text messages, "D" referred to FBI Director

James Comey, and "McDonough" referred to Chief of Staff Denis McDonough.

"We are not making conclusions.

What we are saying is that the timeline is concerning enough to warrant the appointment

of an independent investigator to look at whether or not the Obama White House was involved

[in the Trump-Russia investigation]," a GOP congressional source said.

The GOP investigators also said that the CIA and FBI are supposed to be "independent

agencies," and noted that "coordination between political actors at the White House

and investigators would be inappropriate," raising questions about the level of involvement

of Obama White House officials.

Clearly, an investigation must be launched into the criminal lengths Obama went to in

the hopes of taking Trump down.

Your Public Lands - state forests - Duration: 2:35.

[♪]

All of these woods belong to you.

Minnesota has 59 state forests,

covering more than four million acres.

They're home to more than 25 kinds of game animals

and 275 bird species.

Nestled within this beauty

are 46 campgrounds and day use areas,

as well as thousands of miles of trails

for hiking, biking, snowmobiling,

ATV'ing and horseback riding.

[sound of snowmobile]

But Minnesota's state forests

provide far more than animal habitat

or beautiful places to play.

They provide critical ecological benefits

for all Minnesotans.

>>The forest is like a sponge on public land…

captures the water, stores it, releases it slowly…

you don't have the dirty water, you don't have the high rise

it maintains nice, cold water for a long period of time,

so in places like the North Shore

it's really obvious the benefits of public land.

[sound of waterfall]

In addition to cleaning our water

Minnesota's state forests also purify our air –

removing hundreds of thousands

of metric tons of carbon

from the atmosphere each year.

[sound of tape measure]

Our state forests also have a huge impact

on our economy –

providing 30 percent of the wood fiber

used in Minnesota's timber industry.

That industry employs 64,000 Minnesotans

and has a $17.6 billion impact on the state each year.

Public lands are important to our organization

and the folks who…

the men and women who harvest timber

and manufacture forest products on our state,

because so much of the wood that's harvested

comes off public land in our state.

>>We sustainably manage Minnesota's state forests

because they give so much.

And the most beautiful thing is—

they belong to each and every one of us

>>They're a gem and they're important

because there aren't many places in the United States

where you have this opportunity as we do in Minnesota

to experience so many different types

of public forest lands in Minnesota

from northeast Minnesota and the boreal forests up there,

to the hardwood forests of southeast Minnesota,

and everything in between.

Dem Conspiracy Now PUBLIC Treason And Sedition Charges Await Hillary, Obama & High Level Appointees - Duration: 17:38.

Dem Conspiracy Now PUBLIC: Treason And Sedition Charges Await Hillary, Obama & High-Level

Appointees

The MSM did its best to conceal sworn testimony given to the Senate Judiciary Committee last

Thursday by William Browder a U.S.-born businessman who was instrumental in passing the Magnitsky

Act that imposed targeted sanctions on Russia's kleptocrats.

Browder told the committee that, "Targeted sanctions are a hundred times more upsetting

to the Russian kleptocracy than broad sanctions," and that

Among the revelations that Browder provided to the committee:

Fusion GPS — the firm hired by Clinton operatives to smear Donald Trump — also ran a smear

campaign against Browder to bolster Russia's effort to get the Magnitsky Act repealed.

The Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya who met with Donald Trump Jr. in June 2016 was

a leading player in Russia's effort to get the Magnitsky Act repealed.

He saw no evidence that the Russians were trying to help Trump rather that Russian operatives

were reaching out to everyone who might be convinced to repeal the Magnitsky Act and

that is why Veselnitskyaka requested the meeting with Trump Jr.

So, repealing the Magnitsky Act was Putin's "single most important foreign policy,"

because Putin and his cronies stood to personally lose significant sums of money under the sanctions.

There was simply no case for collusion to be made.

If anything, Hillary Clintons' opposition to the Magnitsky Act that netted Bill $500,000

for a one hour speech that trashed the sanctions imposed by the act, reeks of collusion.

Hillary had previously colluded with Russia in selling off 20% of our uranium stock for

$145MM dollars in Russian "donations" to the Clintons' slush fund aka the Clinton

Foundation.

If you're wondering why we didn't we hear about this exculpatory testimony it's because

the MSM is still taking its marching orders from Obama and Valery Jarrett through "twice

daily conference calls….

8:30 and 9:45 every morning and they develop talking points for the media for the day to

how to sabotage and how to undermine Trump," according to Bill Clinton's former senior

advisor Dick Morris.

Further proof that the Russia-Trump collusion lie is and always was an organized effort

to subvert and overthrow the duly elected president of the United States was exposed

by us late last week when we revealed that Obama's post-election strategy was to strip

Trump of any loyalists that might be in position to prove that if anyone colluded with Russia

it was Clinton and Obama, not Trump, by:

Demanding the recusal of Trump's Attorney General that promoted lifelong Democrat Deputy

A.G. Rod Rosenstein to replace him.

Demanding Devin Nunes, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee recuse himself that

tilted the committee towards the hysteria of Democrat Adam Schiff – a virulent anti-Trumper

intent on convincing someone that Russia and Trump colluded together.

Rewarding the two leading Dems on the House Ethics Committee for grinding the investigation

into Nunes to a halt in order to block his return to the leadership of the Intel Committee.

As we pointed out, this was to give the Russia-Trump narrative time to fully bloom so that the

Dems' crimes under Obama might forever be obscured with the removal of President Trump.

It should also come as no surprise that the Deep State was similarly looking to obscure

its role in criminally turning the intelligence community into a partisan political operation.

So the Dems' mobilized large numbers of treasonous Obama-Clinton sycophants planted

throughout every government agency to destroy the Trump presidency to conceal the criminal

enterprise that they had turned the government into.

What they've done and what they're continuing to do isn't simply partisan politics.

They long ago crossed the line into seditious and treasonous behavior as clearly outlined

in:

18 US Code Chapter 115 – TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES

18 U.S. Code § 2381 – Treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their

enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty

of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and

fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office

under the United States.

18 U.S. Code § 2382 – Misprision of treason

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of

any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make

known the same to the President or to some judge of the United States, or to the governor

or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason

and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both.

18 U.S. Code § 2383 – Rebellion or insurrection

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against

the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto,

shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall

be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

18 U.S. Code § 2384 – Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction

of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government

of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority

thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United

States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary

to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not

more than twenty years, or both.

Here's a section of the law that applies to our vaunted teachers and university professors

and Obama's OFA and Valery Jarrett:

18 U.S. Code § 2385 – Advocating overthrow of Government

Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity,

desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United

States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government

of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any

officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints,

publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written

or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability,

or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force

or violence, or attempts to do so; or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of

persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government

by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society,

group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall

be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof,

for the five years next following his conviction.

If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall

be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall

be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof,

for the five years next following his conviction.

As used in this section, the terms "organizes" and "organize", with respect to any society,

group, or assembly of persons, include the recruiting of new members, the forming of

new units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes, and other units

of such society, group, or assembly of persons.

There's still more violations of 18 U.S. Code Chapter 115 governing sedition and treason

that the Obama administration engaged in while first mobilizing the levers of power (unlawful

surveillance, widespread dissemination of classified information, and leaking that implicated

our entire intelligence community) against candidate Donald Trump and then pivoting and

attempting to unlawfully remove him from office using those same unlawful means.

Trump can no longer allow the Obama-Clinton criminal machine to hide behind Hillary's

pre-emptive defense that in the United States "we don't jail our political opponents."

When anyone, or any group of people – including politicians – engages in the unlawful sale

of United States' assets to foreign powers for their personal enrichment and then conspires

against the duly elected authorities (President Trump and members of his administration) who

have been empowered by the Constitution and the American people to enforce the law and

bring violators to justice, they have engaged in sedition and treason.

They are no longer simply political opponents but have crossed the line into Manchurian

traitors that must be exorcised from society.

New film shows what it can be like for an autistic person on public transport - Duration: 8:21.

New film shows what it can be like for an autistic person on public transport

A powerful new film released this week by the National Autistic Society reveals the challenging reality for many autistic people travelling on public transport.

Noise, crowds, congestion and conflict go hand in hand with the daily commute, as do delays, diversions and cancellations.

But, as an autistic person, what is to many just a minor irritation can become almost impossible to cope with.

A recent survey by the National Autistic Society identified that 52% of autistic people said that a fear of experiencing unexpected changes has stopped them from going on a bus or train.

It's not just unexpected changes that have an impact on autistic people.

For some, background sounds that other people ignore or block out can seem unbearably loud or distracting, causing anxiety or even physical pain.

A loud atmosphere and bustling, confusing situations can be felt more intensely and unexpected delays and cancellations, while stressful for someone without autism, can create serious distress for an autistic person.

People on the autism spectrum are not always comfortable with the idea of change, but may be able to cope better if they can prepare for changes in advance.

So when it comes to unexpected derailing of travel plans, forward planning can become impossible.

In the film, an autistic woman mentally prepares herself to take a train, clearly apprehensive about the journey.

She imagines the worst.

The train she is on becomes delayed then diverted.

The carriage fills up and the noise increases to what is to her, an overwhelming level.

A click of a pen or fractured snippets of overheard conversation become intolerable.

She uses her coping mechanism, stimming – where a person repetitively uses an object or repeat activity involving the senses, in her case, tapping her fingers – she becomes visibly overwhelmed.

She experiences a meltdown.  Fellow passengers just stare, or worse, they laugh and mimic her.

She cannot escape.  It is a sensation felt acutely by many of the 700,000 autistic people in the UK every day who have to join the throngs on public transport, or in other high-stress situations.

'I'm autistic and the fear of unexpected changes can make leaving the house impossible,' she says at the film's climax.

'Feeling judged makes it worse.' The survey also revealed that 67% of autistic people say that the public react negatively (stare, tut, make comments, roll their eyes) when they react (stim or have a meltdown) to unexpected changes – understandably making what is already experienced as a difficult situation much much worse.

The film, launching The National Autistic Society's new phase of their three year campaign, Too Much Information, reveals not only the impact that daily stresses can have on autistic people, but how the way people react to them exacerbates it.

The message is clear: Kindness and empathy can make all the difference to the way an autistic person experiences the world.

A simple action you can take is to learn more about the challenges faced by autistic people and their families, and understand how to react when an autistic person is having a hard time.

People can make small changes in their behaviours that can have a big impact.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT PLEDGE I'll make sure my music can only be heard by me When route or platform changes unexpectedly and someone looks anxious, I'll ask them if they need help When giving directions, I'll use clear language and allow processing time   As The National Autistic Society says, autistic people can get overloaded by everything around them.

It feels like all their senses are firing at once, with no filter, like they're getting too much information.

It makes the world a terrifying, isolating place.

But it doesn't have to be.

If you see someone who looks overwhelmed, you can help.

'One small change from you could help to reduce the overload,' The National Autistic Society says.

'Spare a moment. Try not to judge.

Be patient.

Calmly ask if they're ok and give them time and space to recover.

'A change as simple as using clear language, having a bit of patience or avoiding last minute changes can really help.

'Understand autism and what you can do to help.' WHAT IS AUTISM? Autism is a developmental disability that affects how children and adults see, hear and feel the world, often leaving them confused and overwhelmed.

It is a spectrum condition, ranging from individuals in need of 24-hour care to people who struggle with some aspects of everyday life including forming friendships, coping at school or managing at work.

All autistic people are different.

They will, however, share some of the following characteristics: anxiety in social situations and difficulty with interacting extreme sensory sensitivity to light, touch, sound or smell communication issues, from not speaking to needing more time to process information repetitive behaviour and routines and difficulty with unexpected change intense and highly focused interests.

There are over 700,000 autistic children and adults in the UK with around three million family members and carers.

Autistic people and their families can often feel isolated and hidden, but help is available at autism.org.uk       The Fix The daily lifestyle email from Metro.co.uk.

Downtown RideKC Public Meeting - Duration: 2:09.

The purpose of the meeting is to get specifically downtown stakeholders' input

on what we've done. Well we're trying to make amenities and services

that are still relevant, even as technology changes, and it becomes more

available and cheaper to implement. And so we're certainly taking that to heart

with Prospect MAX. it's an evolution of the existing MAXdesign, which was

already kind of focused on technology: onboard WiFi, real-time arrivals at

stations. And so we're basically putting that into, you know, hyper drive. And so

instead of just a digital sign that just displays real-time arrivals, it's now an

interactive touchscreen kiosk that will also display real-time

arrivals and localized information: events, community information, real-time

tracking for the entire bus system. You know that kind of thing. And then

expanded public WiFi, not just on- board, but at the stations as well.

The 11th and 12th Street corridors, as you know, that's our transit

emphasis corridor. That's where all of our buses will be. They connect to the

streetcar line. The development that has occurred along the streetcar line

has been phenomenal. So when we move out of 10th and Main and open the East Village

Transit Center at 12th and Charlotte, we think that that whole service and the

new Transit Center will be a catalyst to that kind of activity. I's really

important that we are servicing a facility like Alphapointe. It's a very transit

dependent population that's there. They're a great partner to the KCATA.

Having a mobility hub on that particular facility, actually on that property

immediately adjacent to that campus, is a big win for ATA and for Alphapointe both.

This is a lot of projects combined into one massive project. So this has been a

pretty exciting project. It's been extremely challenging, but we love doing

this kind of work for the ATA. It's something I feel like we've gotten very

good at over the years, and we just keep stepping it up a little bit higher on

each one that we do.

Should Christians Send Their Children To Public School? - Duration: 5:06.

For many Christians, today's conversation is a bit of a touchy topic.

I'm going to attempt to unpack a biblical position for the homeschool vs public school

debate.

Now, there's two important things to know: First, I was raised in public school for my

entire education.

Second, I do not believe the Bible directly condemns public school or affirms homeschooling,

but instead, offers us a variety of Scripture to help us form a wise decision.

Now over the years, the most common reasons I've heard Christians use to support their

decision for enrolling their young children in public is number one:

Now, my first response to these reasons is to remind Christian parents that the scriptural

references their using to support their decision, "Let your light shine before men"

or "You are the salt of the earth" or "Be in the world not of the world" were NOT instruction

written to children but to adults.

Jesus nor any of the Apostles sent young children out to evangelize or to disciple or to be

missionaries or to be the iron in another child's life.

However, let me remind you what Jesus does say regarding the leadership of children.

Now, when Jesus says "little ones" He's not speaking solely about children but to

all who are young in the faith which is indeed the posture every young child.

The warning is to NOT PURPOSEFULLY CHOOSE to put those who are undeveloped in their

faith in a place of temptation, moral confusion, or worldly seduction.

Having a said that, and with reviewing the general state of our public school system,

a system which teaches anti-biblical sexuality, false-scientific teachings, emotional morality,

and an overall philosophy designed to work against the values and positions of the Christian

family, this scripture should at the very least, cause us to reexamine our thinking.

Now look, I understand that some Christian families simply can't afford to homseschool

or private school their children.

I also understand that not all public schools and all teachers are immoral or unbiblical.

There are still some great faculties and generally upstanding public schools out there.

But as a whole, America's public school system is not getting better, safer, or holier.

Parents, we can't be fooled.

Satan is playing for keeps and he wants the hearts and minds of your young children.

Now, we must remember that all education is discipleship.

If you're sending your children to public school 30-40 hours per week, how do you expect

to out-disciple that?

Do you believe that 60-minutes of Sunday School and a few morning devotionals is going to

compete with that?

Atheist and communist Vladimir Lenin once said,

The Bible backs up his claim in Proverbs 22:6 where it says:

You can train your children or they can train your children.

But one thing is for sure, DO NOT expect your child to depart from the things they were

taught.

Whether they are true or not.

Whether they are immoral or moral

Outside of a very real encounter with Jesus Christ, the lessons of childhood are cemented

into our future.

Now, if your child is currently in public school, hear me when I say this, I am not

condemning you.

We all has to determine how to navigate the life and family God has laid before us.

Furthermore, I understand that there are always unique circumstances and special exceptions

for certain families.

However, I'm simply asking you to ask yourself, "Is it really worth it?

Is the potential loss of your child's spiritual footing really worth it?"

Is losing your child to the culture, really worth it?"

You know, sometimes it requires us to move heaven and earth to shield our children's hearts.

Sometimes it requires working nights and weekends or quitting a job or moving across the country

to withstand the enemy's efforts to distort our families.

Paul tells us in the book of Galatians to:

Christian parents, raising godly children is fulfilling the Great Commission in your

home.

It is work of the utmost importance.

It is saintly work.

It is holy work.

But most of all, it is eternal work.
