This week on the Quizzical there's a bit of a Christmas twist.

We're at the Mercure Fairfield Manor York.

It is a fantastic Hotel and Restaurant.

We're gonna go and explore.

So, we've come through to the restaurant and I'm joined by Anna.

We're here to talk Christmas, Anna. Aren't we?

In the Restaurant there is so much going on this Christmas.

Tell us a bit about what's happening?

So, we've got various different things going on this year for Christmas starting in December.

So, we have festive afternoon teas, festive lunches and then we have our exciting Christmas party nights.

Which is Gatsby theme. So, excellent theme this year.

And they actually start from the 24th November right up until our last party night on the 23rd December.

And then obviously we then go into the full festive season of Christmas.

So, we're going to have a look at some food that is on year round in the restaurant.

What are we sampling today?

So, today we're sampling a starter of Pigeon and then we're doing Panfried Chicken.

And then a Black Forest Gateau. That sounds absolutely gorgeous.

So, the afternoon tea is what is on offer on the Quizzical this week.

Tell us a bit about that?

Yeah, so we have an excellent prize of an Afternoon Tea for four people including Prosecco.

To go along with that Afternoon Tea.

So, it's the festive Afternoon Tea which you can use between 1st - 31st December.

It's obviously very festive so there's turkey and cranberry sandwiches, mince pies, there's festive treats on there.

And then obviously you get the glass of Prosecco as well.

Along with your normal traditional would be with your scones, clotted cream and your jam.

LV Sheriff Confirms Cop Fired in Killer's Hotel Room After Massacre Was Over - Duration: 3:00.

Law enforcement officials in Las Vegas have released yet another story about what happened

in gunman Stephen Paddock's hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino following

the Oct. 1 shooting that left 58 people dead.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo on Monday

confirmed that a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer accidentally discharged

his weapon inside the Mandalay Bay gunman's suite the night of the massacre.

Lombardo said the weapon went off inside the suite some time after police officers gained

entry, but said the round or rounds were not fired in the same room where Paddock was found

dead.

"It happened, and we're investigating it, just like we do with any officer-involved

use of force," Lombardo told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"Nobody was struck," the sheriff said.

The Review-Journal reported that it was not immediately clear what caused the weapon to

discharge.

However, it was the first public mention of the incident in the month since the mass shooting,

which means it's yet another change to a story that has been murky for a month.

And one that raises more questions about how police have handled the case from the beginning.

This investigation just keeps getting more mysterious.

Lombardo also said that there were no cameras facing the stairwell Paddock reportedly sealed

before opening fire, adding that only some of the cameras faced the elevators.

Paddock was found dead with what has been described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound

after opening fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

It has been one month since the shooting, and there are still more questions than answers

regarding this investigation.

For example, investigators have still not determined the motive behind the shooting.

The Clark County Office of the Coroner has also not released an official cause of death

for Paddock.

Moreover, a laptop recovered from Paddock's hotel suite was missing its hard drive.

An air traffic controller working at McCarran Airport the night of the shooting believed

there were active shooters on the runway during the attack.

In addition, mystery surrounds the witness Jesus Campos, whom Paddock reportedly shot

before he opened fire on the crowd below.

Also, Paddock's girlfriend and brother have grown eerily quiet.

It certainly doesn't help that FBI Las Vegas spokeswoman Sandra Breault has declined to

speak about the matter.

Nothing about this bizarre investigation makes sense.

As publicly known details continue to change, Americans following the case become more suspicious

about what is going on and what, if anything, authorities are holding back and why.

The way things are going, we may never know what truly happened that night.
