Prince of Persia review / análise - MS-DOS (1990) - Duration: 7:38.

In this episode of Carrega Start we're travelling faraway

to the exotic Persia to save the Princess from the evil Jaffar.

No, not that one!

Jaffar, the Vizier who wants to be Sultan in place of the Sultan

gives an ultimatum to the Princess:

she has 60 minutes to marry him or she will die!

The Princess' last hope is her beloved Prince

who is now a prisoner in the Palace dungeons.

We start the game directly in the mazy dungeons

from where we have to escape before saving the Princess.

We have to explore the Palace dungeons, with no indications whatsoever,

and try to find the way out as soon as possible.

It's a simple idea but this is not an easy game!

When we grasp its mechanics like the Prince's way of moving,

sword-fighting, jump over deep pits, or avoid its numerous traps,

Prince of Persia sets itself as a great challenge to our skills

and a fabulous adventure into the mythical One Thousand and One Nights.

The first level is perfect as it really allow us

to understand the gameplay essentials.

And the controls are far from perfection.

One will immediately notice some lag in the Prince's movements

but after dying a few times it becomes easier to control it.

Jumping forward when running requires a very good timing

or else we'll fall into an agonizing death.

Even if we don't die,

a fall from a high place will surely injure us.

Stages are full of loose tiles, levers that open gates,

deadly spikes and other traps and obstacles.

The main goal of the first stage is to find a sword

since we need it to battle the Vizier guards.

Unlike many other games,

in Prince of Persia there is no Game Over

except if we fail to save the Princess in 60 minutes.

The Prince starts the game with three health indicators

but along the stages we will find potions that restore our health

and other potions, bigger and usually hidden,

that increase our health indicators.

Beware thought as some potions may be poisonous…

Graphics are a major feature of the game

and are top-notch for the time.

The Prince's animations, for instance,

were made by recording the game's creator younger brother

performing some moves like jumping and running.

Without getting into much detail,

this animation technique, called Rotoscope,

has animators trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame.

This gave Prince of Persia a smoother animation

than other games of that era.

This animation technique was used in many animated movies back in the day

and even nowadays, occasionally.

Although the start screen and the cutscene that come along

puts us in the Arabic tales mood,

backgrounds are not very detailed.

Honestly, I was so much focused

in solving all puzzles and quickly moving,

that the lack of detail didn't seem like a major flaw.

However, in some stages we do leave this stone prison

to find some more detailed and colourful graphics.

Music is scarce

but this plays a role in setting a feeling of solitude and anxiety

in this race against the clock in a dungeon.

A major positive aspect of this game is its variety.

True, the main goal along the levels is always the same:

open gates, activate levers, fight the guards whose toughness increases along the game,

avoid deadly traps and so on

but the game design is so good that it never becomes boring.

In fact, it's quite the opposite: it's a very fun and challenging game.

We always want to go as far as possible

even when we are reaching the time limit

and we know we still won't save the Princess this time around.

Although we die a lot in this game,

Prince of Persia gives us a real sense of progression

and that make us keep playing.

Memorizing the stages plays a great deal in beating the game of course.

This is a game that makes us rush,

after all we only have 60 minutes to save the Princess

but at the same time we need to be patient and move carefully

since we are in a big maze filled with deep pits

and fatal traps that can get us killed at any moment.

This balance makes Prince of Persia a great challenge,

sometimes borderline frustrating,

but it's not hard enough that is impossible to beat.

This is a great classic

and truly a game that should not be missed by anyone

who wants to dive into computer gaming history.

Although there is a lot of Prince of Persia ports and versions

many believe this DOS port be the definitive version.

Many say it's even better than the Apple II original.

This first game has several 2D and 3D sequels

and one should note its major influence in popular games

like Tomb Raider or Assassin's Creed.

There was nothing like Prince of Persia at the time

and it truly is one of the best and most influential games of that era.

Intel Joby tilt rotor flying taxi 2018 Review - Duration: 2:20.

Appearing to share that belief are a host of new investors, led by Intel and including

Toyota, who have handed Joby US$100 million in Series B funding to continue development

of its aircraft, which it now says has been flight-tested.

Just like other air taxi concepts, such as the Intel-backed Volocopter, Passenger Drone,

Vahana and eHang, Joby hopes to cut down on traffic and pollution in urban centers, and

offer city folk a faster, cleaner and safer way to travel.

It says its five-seater aircraft will fly more than 150 mi (240 km) on each charge,

travel faster than existing rotorcraft and be 100 times quieter than conventional aircraft

during takeoff and landing.

The upfront cost will be higher than a typical combustion plane or helicopter, but Joby reckons

this will be recouped over time, because its aircraft can cover the same distance at one

twentieth the cost in terms of energy.

Joby says for now it is solely focused on the development of the vehicle across three

key areas: equipping it with unparalleled safety through redundant systems, minimizing

the noise and optimizing the range and speed.

Proton Persona - 10 000km Ownership Review - Duration: 5:16.

what's up everyone welcome to my channel again

and

well my car is already 10 000 km

in fact it's 11 000 already

so I guess I do some 10 000km ownership review

the car is daily driven

it's been through highway, city,

hot weather, heavy downpour,

across the state and across the country as well

and even go off road with this car

the car is very practical

and I've done some practical mods on it

which some people may not even consider a mod

I installed a blind spot mirror, changing the gear knob,

install some door guards

and also do some DIY mud flap

let's talk about economy on this car

the car is very good in fuel economy if you don't compare it with EEV vehicle

in city you can something like 10km/L

on normal driving you get 14km/L

if you driving on highway, driving 110

the fuel economy you get is 16km/L

but these are not the best fuel economy I get

the best fuel economy I get is 19km/L

and it is not that one time lucky

I've achieved that 19km/L for more than three times

if you're driving 90 smoothly at 5th gear

or 60 in 4th gear

you can actually achieve 19km/L

which is even better than what is written on the paper

so from a driver perspective

since it is a manual car

am i regretting choosing a manual?

hmm

honestly no

I mostly drive around JB and Malacca

and I drove in KL before with massive traffic jam

and honestly say I don't feel any discomfort on my left leg

the clutch is actually quite light it's a hydraulic clutch

but the shift is not light

it is heavy but it's very solid

it doesn't feel cheap, it is very sporty

and let's talk about the sitting position

the seat is pretty high I don't like it but

it's good that it keeps me sit at correct posture all the time

and the steering wheel

has a bulk on the '2' and the '10' of the steering wheel

which is very comfortable to hold

and since i drive the persona

I start to drive with both hands on the steering wheel very often

the steering is very sensitive

in fact a full turn only require 1.5 turn on the steering wheel

and the turning radius is also better compare to the previous proton's

and then for the visibility

the front blind spot is a little bit weird

because the A-pillar is further from you compared to a normal car

but the blind spot is actually very minimal

and you have almost no blind spot if you install the blind spot mirror

it also make it very easy to drive around city

as you can drive around a narrow road confidently

and for the power of this car

it is very powerful, the acceleration is very fast

in city you can switch between the lane

without worrying the car is stubborn

you can just press the throttle and go in safely

and in highway you can overtake a car

while matching up the speed with the right lane speed very easily

then for the owner perspective

the car is actually very practical

the boot space is really very big

it literally fits everything I need to bring to my college and back to my house

everything literally

then for the problems on this car

for this persona it actually has a lot of factory defects

and it's not present at my friends' proton persona

such as the air-con ventilation mode malfunction

it's actually blocked by some rubbish left over by a mouse I think

and I have a bent drive shaft

which is not proton's fault it's the supplier of the drive shaft fault

and next one it's a check engine light and a loose key slot

well the check engine light is caused by the loose key slot

and the key slot problem is actually caused by a loose screw

just one screw

and after all the factory defects have been fixed

there are no other problem found yet

however it's pain in the ass to keep the exterior looks good

since it's a black car everything is very obvious

a dirt,

a scratch,

a swirl mark,

anything is very obvious

you can't really keep the car clean

but if you are a black car owner you know

once the car is clean it is the best color of all

Augmented Reality Merge Cube Demo Review - Duration: 6:52.

Hey guys it's Carrie Anne. And Mannix. Usually with Mannix here we're

talking, have been talking Pops. Yeah. But sometimes we talk sorta video games, gaming.

Yeah. And that's actually why we're here today.

We wanted to talk about, I guess you can call it, an accessory that you can use with your

mobile phone to take that flat gaming experience into a more about augmented

reality. And I'm talking about the Merge Cube.

The Merge Cube. So here it is the Merge Cube. It's ... you probably can't really tell it

is this kind of like a really tough foam. And on every side of

the cube is almost like these secret hieroglyphic writings on it. But it's

this writing on the cube that will help your mobile phone to turn an experience

into a 3D or augmented reality experience. Well usually when you're

thinking about technology you're talking about hardware and hardware with kids

and their risk of something getting broken. Right? But this Merge Cube being

this foam. If [it] happens to fall, the nice thing about it being a foam is you're

not gonna have it fall on the ground and crack. Ah! [laugh] Probably not supposed to do that.

But it's not broken. With the Merge Cube you've got the cube itself. So then on the

bottom in the package is the activation code. And you've already set up your phone.

So to go through the activation, go into the App Store or Google Play Store and then

download one of the Merge Cube apps. Some are free and some there's a small fee to it.

Once you've ... picked an app that you

want to try and you download, the first time you use the Merge Cube you will

have to set it up. You enter the activation code. It registers on your

phone. This particular cube is registered so if I scan it it doesn't

need to go over the activation code already. You can look at 3D models.

You're holding sort of a skull at your hand which is really cool. It has to read the

markings. As soon as that kind of gets into camera view it it interprets what

each side actually is. To be or not to be, That is my question.

And there are games.

This is Merge Things which is a bunch of mini apps built into one.

And you turn the cube. Find one of the mini applications you want to play.

Then you have to click on it and it will go into that.

Oh camp fire in your hand.

also comes in the package is this black case [mobile stand] which is used to....

really you think it's just packaging but the great thing is it actually will hold your

phone it has a little cut in the front will hold the phone.

So will give you a little more hands-free action to manipulate and move the cube around.

My favourite is probably Diffused. Yeah I was going to say that's my favourite too.

It's a combination of puzzle and. Stress. And stress. [laugh]like that perfection game we're yet to do something in the limit

Like that Perfection game where you have to do something in a limit time

before the timer gives up. So it's really cool. Yeah.

Like at the beginning of the

round it gives you instructions. Each round has one more instruction.

It says 'activate all of the orange switches'.

Like most people would be like 'oh that would be easy. I can just do all that'.

But you have to remember them in the specific order they were given to you in.

See and then once you do that you get to

the next round. So this is round two.

Enter the sequence 475 on keypad number one.

Disconnect all the red wires or shouldn't I so yeah actually how do you

So, yeah, now that you've mentioned it, it's a combination of like Perfection

doing something under the stress of time

and like Simon because it is... they give you a set of

instructions and you have to complete those instructions in that order.

So now on to level three. Activate all the yellow switches. Activate all the blue switches.

Activate all the number one switches. So yellow, blue, number one.

And you have to you know turn the whole device to find all the different triggers.

I like how the music speeds up and the pressure's on. And then after it blows

up it turns into this. Ah!

So that was a brief demo of the Merge Cube.

As you saw from this demo you can kind of play with some of the games and models with just

the Merge Cube and your phone and the apps. You can also enhance some of those

experiences by using the goggles that allow you to do either VR our augmented

reality as well. Hopefully we'll get a chance to play with some of those and

show you but that's like. Talking about is like yeah that's kind of cool but

then we need to use it it really is cool. I don't know if the video gives that impression.

Although you could probably do a similar game where you are given a task to

complete in a certain manner to solve a problem. Puzzle games are not unusual.

Puzzle apps aren't unusual. But the added idea of rotating the cube and trying to

remember like that whole orientation of okay this is the panel 1 and I gotta get

to panel 3 and then wait ... like that adds a whole other aspect of the

game It just really feels more involved versus a flat screen which I thought was

really cool. Yeah. And then some of the models. I've seen one with the solar

system. You can get really close up into some of the planets and

then further away to see the solar system. And those are only a few of

the apps. So the Merge Things apps free and has a handful of some of those

models and games so a great sort of app to get with the cube and the cube here I

think in Canada is less than $30. Which is really comparable to as if you're

gonna get a video game for the kids. So I was really impressed with the cube.

but Maxwell House Hotel was in Nashville.

- So, what do we know about

this interesting looking bag?

- We only know that it has roasted, ground coffee,

natural hazelnut flavor, and extract from Hazelnuts.

And it says "contains hazelnuts".

- Right.

- So, in case you didn't get it the first two times,

it has hazelnuts.

Which is different than some of the other flavored

coffees we reviewed, because a lot of times

it's artificial flavoring.

It's not real, you know, hazelnuts or whatever.

- Right.

- Like, Eight O'Clock, I'm pretty sure it said

artificial flavorings,

but this is true hazelnuts.

- Real hazelnuts.

- And the smell, when you smell it out of the bag,

is maybe not very pleasant.

- Yeah, and when you're brewing it, it's not

very pleasant.

- Now, compare that with like Eight O'Clock, when

you open the bag it's like, knock ya down with

hazelnut goodness smell.

But the flavor I didn't enjoy on the Eight O'Clock.

But, here we go.

- Yeah.

So, we'll see what it tastes like.

I have actually not had this yet.

Yeah, the smell isn't very good.

It's kinda like a ...

- This is my seventh cup of coffee today (laughs).

- Okay so, the smell is, I think nice, pleasant.

It's not knock ya over with hazelnut like the Eight O'Clock

was, but this is, ya know, obviously when you go

in for it, you know that you're gonna get hazelnut.

And again, I am so pleasantly surprised at this coffee.

It's only a dollar for a bag, I mean, so two fifty

for a pound.

Super duper, duper cheap.

And it's good.

Like, this to me is way better than Eight O'Clock hazelnut.

I mean like, way better, and it's way cheaper.

So if you like hazelnut coffee, I would highly recommend

that you try this one out, because this is good.

- Yeah.

Or get some Nutella, and pour it in there too.

- Oh yeah, that would be delicious.

We should do that, we've got a jar of Nutella.

This is good!

- So, Hazelnut.

- This is even good, like, normally I don't

like flavored coffees, but this is like ...

- Because it's real flavoring.

- Yeah, yeah.

- Real flavor, not chemical flavor.

- Right, yeah.

- That's probably it.

- It makes a big difference.

- The other coffee companies have, as far as we've found,

do not do a good job of using the chemicals

to make the flavor right.

- It's like they overdo it to make it really smell good

and the flavor's like, ugh, gross.

But this is ...

- Well, 'cause your olfactory ...

That's what it's called, right?

That's what you smell with?

- Yeah, yeah.

- They, people know, you know when you ...

Half of eating is smelling.

Smelling and seeing.

But I guess not with coffee, 'cause this is a lot better

than that ...

- This is much, yeah, this is really good.

And you know, this also made me think of the other

Dollar Tree coffee we had.

I kinda started thinking, "was it really that good

compared to like," and it was!

I remember now, after drinking this, which makes me

wonder if these two are the same.

- Yeah, the bag's the same.

- Yeah, the bag is the same, but it's different companies

or whatever.

This is good.

This is really good.

- So, what do you think on the ...

- Two for two on the Dollar Tree companies,

which is shocking.

- So what do you think on the donut rating for this?

The price is really good, so that gives you that.

We stayed at the Hotel FUUKKA Villa on three weeks

the hotel is one kilometer from aquarium underwater world Langkawi

15 minutes walk from the beach of Senang and most it is fortunate that he is literally in

five minutes from the beach of Pentai tengah there is a swimming pool on site

A Pentagon-led review of the U.S. nuclear arsenal has named North Korea as a "clear

and grave threat" to the U.S. and its allies.

Released on Friday,... the so-called nuclear posture review also asserts that any North

Korean nuclear attack against the U.S. or its allies will result in "the end of that

regime."

The report goes on to say that "there's no scenario in which the Kim Jong-un regime could

employ nuclear weapons and survive."

The review also concluded that the United States should largely follow Obama administration's

blueprint for modernizing the nuclear arsenal, including new bomber aircraft, submarines

LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle review ⚓ 21313 - Duration: 11:33.

hello everyone this is the very classy looking lego ideas ship-in-a-bottle set

and it is significantly noticeably smaller than the original ideas

submission from a fan but I think that's actually a very good thing this is

practically one-to-one scale to many real ships in a bottle and especially

the bottle part itself it actually ends up being a little bit larger than many

liquor bottles are and so I think this is a great scale in fact a perfect scale

thing is very visible from a distance looks kind of realistic from a distance

yet it doesn't take up too much space and very unfortunately it was not too

difficult to put together with the kind of eggshell construction of the bottle

with those non-abs hard transparent pieces the pieces have extraordinarily

high clutch power due to the surface of the material which makes them more

difficult to put together however they are also very springy so if you're

dealing with a bunch of pieces in a fairly hollow assembly and you use too

much force you can very quickly be punished by a very sudden and violent

disassembly this set the way it's designed in its final form here though

is not too bad there are a couple of hairy moments as you attach these large

curved pieces near the the shoulders or that form the shoulders and also when

you're putting in just the last couple of panels on the top that go just over

the mass and actually their rear one touches and compresses it ever so

slightly that definitely requires some finesse and it helps if you have small

fingers I do not have particularly small fingers so I got none of that help but

it was able to work out in the end I said definitely requires some finesse

and patience patience is definitely your friend it could have been a lot worse

though I'll tell you that for sure I love this cap and cork it's easily one

of my favourite things to look at on the entire model the whole model is

basically three assemblies you have the bottle

you know the ship in the bottle and you have to stand oh yeah there's also the

water which consists of 284 trans light blue stud pieces that you just pour in

fortunately you don't need to sort them out from any other bags they just have

three bags labeled number three and you just pour their full contents out and

then try to kind of level them out from front to back before you start to close

the bottle up the ship is attached fairly securely there's not a lot of

worry about it falling over in there if you pick up the bottle or something like

this there the ship is attached with some jumper pieces which ultimately are

held in place with a bunch of headlight bricks that are used on the base here

and they also use a lot of headlight bricks on what is truly the bottom of

the bottle so yes there's a lot of prism effect that goes throughout here I think

it looks pretty good I'm glad that it's a little bit more clear in the center

with the large panel pieces but overall again it's very sturdy and not too

frustrating to actually put together well this is a very nice small ship

build it's surprisingly sturdy and dense for its size it has a good level of

detail and it features building in every major direction plus some including

upside down they got little representations of the cannons and the

gun ports on the sides I really like the kind of banister style railing done

around the rear quarter deck with the new color I believe for those relatively

new round 1 by 1 plates with the little bar extension I think that's a new color

for those look forward to collecting a bunch of those you know if they use some

offset construction throughout this going from odd width to even width with

the numbers of studs these masts are attached pretty securely they will stay

exactly where you want them to be the level of detail on the main deck is

really good they've even got the the cover for the hold there with

texture with the grill piece they used the half plate thickness design and

level of texture and and placement for the the bulwarks going around the edges

you got some extended plates up towards the front just a lot of really good

stuff going on here it almost looks like it has a wheel at there area as well

almost you just just practically imagine it and I mean I can't appreciate enough

what they've done with the mass just how sturdy sturdy

they are you can angle them wherever you want them to be you can change the

angles of the sails just a little bit and yeah they think they look great you

don't have a little sea serpent prints for the center portions of the the main

sails there and those have a little bit of gold on them so they have a little

bit shimmer it's it's good it's good all around the faux wooden stand is also

legit it is very sturdy has a minimum number of unintended studs that appear

on any of its sides really like the compass in here you can actually rotate

this around it would be cool to come up with a little conversion for the

interior to possibly make that actually work notice that this dish is printed on

the opposite side so you're actually looking at the underside of it very good

technique there exclusive print also for the panel on the front for the name of

the ship they give you a couple of these little globes that can be spun around

and oriented however you want and interestingly this has a lot of teal

pieces inside of it the recently re-released old classic color not able

to see them from the outside whatsoever but there's a lot of teal used inside of

here there's actually a fair amount of teal used there we go I can pop up one

of these bits there's a lot more than you can see here but it's just a little

little teaser of it there are a lot of teal pieces used or some teal pieces

used inside of the ship as well nice to see that kind of given to us you

know for folks who want to start stocking up on that color again yeah if

you get extra pieces or you start to disassemble existing things it would be

nice to get more of the more desirable rarer colors used in places where you

don't even see them in the first place one wonderful hidden though static

feature of the stand is that it actually keys in or rather the bottle keys in

with a couple of the 1 by 2 plates that just barely stick out on the sides

those just slot right in there and the stand actually holds the boat and keeps

it from sliding forward to back so this is even more secure than it appears the

the bottle really wants to stay exactly where you place it and that's on all

axes so again nice and sturdy even though it's not directly connected with

any studs oh one thing that does kind of rub me the wrong way about this set I

should have pointed it out earlier is the kind of maker's mark here the the

faux wax seal at the top I forgot to mention that that's a printed piece but

it actually has the the initials of the Lego designer who worked on making this

into a real product and not the initials of the original fan designer now I do

have to acknowledge that this really is the Lego designers design and product it

is very significantly different from the original winning Lego ideas fan

submission but I think that it would have been a nicer nod to put the fan

designers initials there because ultimately the fan designer was

responsible for us having a primarily responsible for us having this set at

all to be able to get so yeah I think that was a little bit a little bit off

it's also funny that the kind of mirror the thing depending upon which side of

the box you're looking at this is the way that it was built in the

instructions but you can just flip this around it it's pretty easy it's also not

that easy to get the boat out so kind of decide upfront if you want the

boat in or not and this whole thing they have on the on the box of all of the

studs being right-side up nah no way never gonna happen you will lose your

mind if you try to make that happen I do not recommend it maybe they could have

used rounded tiles instead that might have looked a little bit more consistent

at least with the ones that are right side up and upside down nevertheless

this is a beautiful set I think that it is great to have something like this

produced through the Lego ideas system it is not licensed it is not corporately

backed it is not about politics it's not about space again we've got a lot of

space stuff I love space stuff but I really want to see more more variety and

this I think is a perfect example of just Lego fans doing stuff with the

product with the bricks with the pieces coming up coming up with something

that's cool and that hasn't been done by Lego and making it happen and making it

real so I'm very happy that this this one if you will I think that it was a

great idea to begin with and I think that the Lego designer has made it a

much better product than the original fan submission was on top of that and

finally I think the value in terms of price you pay to volume of stuff that

you get is reasonable here you know it does have a ton 284 of those individual

stud pieces used for water but even if you subtract those completely ignore

their existence and then just look at the price part ratio after they are

removed it still looks really good and that's in spite of the fact that this

has some pretty large and four of those particularly rare and expensive and

valuable corner rounded panel pieces so yeah value is good build is good display

value is excellent easily one of my favorite Lego ideas sets today

that does it for my thoughts on this set though hope that I showed you everything

decently well I'm gonna continue working on other review videos as well as my own

custom built and my big lego city so I'll talk to you again soon

Popeyes® | $5 Sweet Heat Butterfly Shrimp Review! ⚜🔥🍤 - Duration: 5:42.

peep this out guys it's Ian K back again with another one for ya this time

headed into popeye's to check out the return of their shortbread cookie

coating that's now available on something other than their chicken

that's right it's all about the sweet heat butterfly shrimp as the focus for

today's review and I'm very curious to know if that shortbread cookie coating

is gonna do for shrimp but it obviously did for chicken the first time around so

let's check this one out after we set ourselves up to the drive-thru hi peep

this out ya know can I go for an order of the sweet heat butterfly shrimp and

that'll be it let's go with spicy

we'll go with cajun fries that's it

great thanks a lot so a shortbread cookie crust on seafood this is

definitely gonna be interesting how you doing good yes thank you

satisfy that curiosity let's peep this out

Popeyes Sweet Heat Butterfly Shrimp marinated in Louisiana spices and coated in

buttery shortbread well it's definitely tacklebox season here at Popeyes guys

and I think they got pretty excited about it because they decided to throw

in two chicken strips into my meal so at least I could give you a look at that

particular combo if you decide to go for it you've got two of they're all white

meat chicken strips here coated up with that shortbread cookie crispiness and

then on the side four of the shrimps that are coated in exactly the same and

I decided to go with the spicy version so as you can see it's got some red

pepper flakes and they're looking pretty nice we've got one of their all-time

favorite biscuits that I absolutely love here and of course a little bit of

dipping sauce in this case the Creole cocktail sauce is the order of the day

and a little bit of the cajun fries on the very bottom here so while I

appreciate the chicken strip quote-unquote bonus that they included

with my order today this is the one that's got my interest piqued here and

I'm sure it does for you as well so let's get into this right now guys it's

the sweet heat butterfly shrimp here at Popeyes let's peep out this flavor

ahhh yes marinated Popeyes goodness fried up to a crispy golden brown and it

smells really fantastic let's do this and speaking of smelling fantastic it

actually does smell kind of sweet just like the sweet and crunchy tenders that

I reviewed last year which you guys can find my review of in the upper right

hand corner of your display right now but let's see how this actually does for

shrimp it's the sweet heat butterfly shrimp here at Popeyes mmm-hmm Wow it's

actually better and I think it's because of the creaminess of the shrimp on the

inside it's a better type of texture for this type of coating and it really feels

more wholesome as you're eating it the light sweetness that I'm getting and of

course the crunch on the outside goes nicely it's very reminiscent of a sweet

and crunchy tenders from last year and then you're getting a nice spice on the

back end I'm taking this one down tail and all then I'll pick up another

one take another bite to give you a look on the inside man that is tasty and the

heat is on point I'd probably say it's maybe like a 4 to 5 you can actually

really feel it sting a little bit in the back it's pretty good now as with any

fried shrimp this can go sideways pretty quickly there if you have too much

breading it's usually not a good thing but the breading is what they're selling

with this one and the fact that it has that nice shortbread cookie sweetness on

the backend only complements it overall but as you can see from the shrimp on

the inside it's just about average as you'd expect

from Popeyes but like I said it's that coating that does it and then the spice

coming up in the backend is just really really nice hey I'm just thinking the

fact that there's actually just red flakes visible on the coating itself

here usually when they tell you it's spicy it's just

kind of baked into it slightly there but you can't really see it visibly but you

can see it on these guys this is actually pretty legit alright let's go

for a fast dunk into the Creole cocktail sauce to see what that does to the

flavor now we all know a cocktail sauce goes with shrimp so there's really no

way this could be bad right nope not bad at all it's actually a very rich and

pungent cocktail sauce here at Popeyes and of course it goes amazingly well

with the shrimp and naturally with the outer coating being fried the way that

it is there really soaks it up pretty nicely the sweetness is still there on

the backend initially you're getting the spice and the overall creaminess of the

shrimp itself but I got to say guys I am just very impressed with the fact that

the shrimp is really taking it up a notch on top of the sweetness of the

light cookie flavor itself here's one more shot on the inside of one of these

shrimps here guys as you can see right in the middle the spicing is very apparent

with the outer coating being as thick as it is you can still see the shrimp

pretty clearly in the middle take a closer look right above where the shrimp

connects to the outer coating and you'll see that light yellow color that's

pretty much the same thing from the sweet and crunchy tenders that I

reviewed a year ago and it's the same type of break down there you'll see

that's where the sweetness is coming from I think there and it really does

replicate a cookie pretty well very very nicely done on this one especially with

the shrimp but at the end of the day this is all just my opinion I think most

of us can agree that this is pretty much the tasty Popeyes goodness we always

know and love from them every single month with a newer dipping sauce and

maybe a slight tweak to the batter itself in this case that shortbread

cookie but what do you guys think drop some comments down below
