Hi everyone and welcome back!
It's the 30th of November 2017, little past 12.30 AM
I've been home for less than 20 hours
but luggage is ready and I'm off to a new trip!
Six hours later and I'm at Malpensa Airport, for once quiet and empty
Right now I'm in the capsule I'm gonna spend the night in
that's right, I'm staying in a mini capsule hotel here in the airport
and this is my capsule, which is way more comfortable that you would expect
It seem to have everything one needs, just like the original capsule hotels on the other side of the world
it's going to be a peculiar experience
everything is controlled from this touchscreen, like the window here
which is closed right now, so that people can't see inside
and the roof, which opens completely
what else? Table... bench, full of my stuff
trash can, power outlet
the screen, with all the functions, like chromotherapy
coloured lights
what else?
alarm, entertaiment, wifi
I should set this
as you propably already figured out, I had to come to the airport one day prior
because the plane leaves in the morning and the train takes six hours to come here
there aren't trains leaving early enough to get here in time
so, I'm already here, I'll enjoy this room
which I must say, even if small, is way better than many rooms I've been around Italy
I'm spending the night here, if I find out more about it I will show you
and I will see you tomorrow!
It has been quite an adventure, but first:
I've arrived in Osaka! I'm really happy to be back here in Japan
I'm really, really happy
I've just arrive in the city, at Namba station
we had a few troubles because
the train... erm, the plane from Milano to Paris was 50 minutes late
we managed to take the one from Paris to Osaka
we were literally the last 3 people to get on the plane, me and another italian couple
the problem is that our luggage are still in Paris
they will arrive in a couple days, the day after tomorrow
the others already left for Kyoto, and now I'm gonna look for
the hotel and a bowl of ramen, let's see wich one I find first
I gotta catch the metro to get to the hotel
there are loads of shops here, so I guess it will be ramen first!
Here I am aht the Hotel Sunplaza, you can find the info in the info box
and it gets the prize for the smallest room ever
it is taller than the one in Budapest, but way smaller! And...
I forgot I had booked the futon, I thought I got a room with a bed
tatami... and futon... right
the neighborhood seems nice, with cars and streets and stuff
and a lot of alleys with shops and whatnot so
as I still have to get lun... I don't' have to get lunch, it's supposed to be 3 in the morning
I should get some sleep, but here it's 1pm so I'll get some lunch
I already new this hotel is peculiar
beacuse it has a shared bathroom, traditional japanese style
like a sento (public bath - I said onsen, my bad)
that's gonna be fun too
and I have barely nothing wit me, a few clothes in the backpack
so yaeh, I might have to get some more clothes and astuff
if nothing else, the temperature here is great, it's sunny
so... let's get some food and then I want to go see a place near here
today's schedule is messy, but I'll figure out something!
I didn't expected the hotel to be this close, like 200 meters, to one of the most photographed areas of the city
which I thought I had to look for in a maze of alleys
the alleys are right here, behind the hotel, that's awsome!
You might be asking yourselves why am I showing you metro stations, malls and bridges
well, the answer is simple: we are in Abenobashi
and if you're like me, you probably watched the anime Abenobashi
which took place in this area, before the renovation
so it was pretty different before they build all these buildings and shops
and being it close to the hotel I had to come see it and show it to you
Here we are, back at the hotel
I've seen more than I though
I was expecting to just have a quick stroll to Abenobashi
yet I've seen way more, even because everything is way closer than I thought, so I just kept walking
I'm pretty damn tired now, as I've been travelling for 4 days straight
considering the trip back from Budapest
but yeah, I do need to rest and get ready for the days to come
have a shower, 'cause I stink, and figure out how to lay the futon, Let's do that right now
This might do, i'll look on the web how it is actually done
well folks, we can call it a day
I will see you tomorrow!
