News on Youtube Feb 8 2018

So, remember what happened with my Sonic Mania review, where the game came out, and I spent

so long working on the review and procrastinating it that by the time the review was actually

finished, the game was already months old and everyone had already stopped talking about it?

Well, I did that again.

Welcome to my review of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

Now, this is a very interesting game for a multitude of reasons, and I'm hoping to

touch on that a little bit in the video, um, but also before we get started I should note

there will be a few spoilers in this video.

I'm gonna try not to spoil any of the major twists, I'm not gonna spoil the ending,

but aside from that I think everything's fair game, so this should be a fun one, so,

uh, strap right in and let's get started.

Wolfenstein II picks up right where The New Order left off.

BJ's not doing so great after the events of the last game, having taken a grenade to

the face during his confrontation with General Deathshead.

Considering that, he actually looks pretty good, in my opinion, but regardless, he is

in a pretty bad state, and interestingly, this actually informs the gameplay for much of the game.

You actually play through the first level in a wheelchair, which surprisingly controls

a lot better than you'd think.

Though of course I'm still thankful this wasn't for the whole game.

After this you'll acquire a battle suit which sustains William for the remainer of

first half of the game.

As a result of his injuries, he only has a maximum of fifty health points, but thanks

to the suit you have a maximum of 200 armour points to compensate.

This creates a kind of gameplay which places emphasis on keeping your armor high to avoid

taking too much damage, which is kind of an interesting way to change up the formula a bit.

In Wolfenstein: The New Order, there was a scene early on in the game where you're

forced to choose to save the life of one of your comrades, leading to the death of the other.

This creates an interesting problem for the sequel, due to the fact that there are two

possible timelines the story could be set in.

Wolfenstein II resolves this problem via a flashback to the choice which allows you to

select the timeline you want to play on.

I went with Wyatt's timeline, just because he's the one I ended up saving in The New Order

I may end up doing a Fergus play-through in the future, but I didn't really feel up

to playing the game twice just for this review, as the game is quite long.

So, full disclosure here, I haven't actually played that many recent first-person shooter games.

Aside from Wolfenstein: The New Order, which I played in anticipation of The New Colossus,

the newest FPS I've properly played is Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

So, as you can imagine, I don't really have a very good metric for high I should set my

standards while reviewing this game.

In some ways, though, I think this could be a good thing.

I'm hoping it means I can critically examine the game on its own merits, rather than forgiving

or glossing over certain problems just because they're endemic to modern FPS games.

So, with that out of the way, let's talk about Wolfenstein II's gameplay.

Wolfenstein II is a first-person shooter.

It plays how you'd expect a first-person shooter to play.

You use the WASD keys to move around and the mouse to aim your weapon.

Much like the previous game, Wolfenstein II has a generous but not overwhelming selection

of weapons to use, which are all unlocked fairly early on.

You can switch weapons by holding the 'V' key to bring up a weapon wheel.

I found this kind of unwieldly, and as I became more familiar with the number key bindings

for each weapon, I found it much better to use those instead.

A nice touch is that one of the weapons differs depending on whether you're playing the

Fergus or Wyatt timeline.

On Fergus's timeline you get the Laserkraftwerk, which fires lasers, and on Wyatt's you instead

get the Dieselkraftwerk, which fires remotely detonatable sticky bombs.

You can also dual wield any combination of weapons.

As cool of an idea as this is, it's actually a bit awkward in practice.

You press the left mouse button to fire the weapon in your main hand, and the right mouse

button to fire the weapon in your off hand.

As a consequence of this, you can't use the secondary fire feature of your weapons

all, meaning you basically swap out the accuracy of iron sights for raw fire power.

The sticky bomb launcher actually uses the secondary fire button to detonate, so to compensate

for not being able to do this while dual wielding, the bombs will detonate automatically instead.

I didn't really dual wield much at all in my playthrough, because mashing both mouse

buttons at the same time is a chore and I didn't like how quickly it chewed up ammo.

In most situations I preferred the accuracy and efficiency of just using one weapon.

All your weapons can be upgraded with a selection of buffs and alternative fire modes with

upgrade kits you can find throughout the game.

I really liked these, and especially that they don't just make your weapons more powerful,

but even change the way you use them and give them more utility.

Being able to feel your weapons changing and becoming more powerful as you progress in

the game is very satisfying.

There are also heavy weapons you can find which slow you down a fair bit but are extremely powerful.

They drop to the ground if you unequip them, so you only get to use them until you need

to climb a ladder or something, or just get tired of being slow.

I thought this was a fun way to give you a change from your normal arsenal, and also

give you some really powerful weapons to play with without throwing off the balance of

the game too much.

So as for the combat overall, I gotta say, I really liked it.

The weapons feel powerful, and the enemies can take a hit or two but for the most part

avoid feeling like bullet sponges.

The melee takedowns you can do are pretty fun as well.

If you can get close enough to an enemy you can use your axe to brutally dispatch them.

These axes can also be thrown to take down enemies at a distance.

If you feel confident, you can even run right up to an enemy and axe 'em to death in

the middle of a firefight.

The fun of tearing through Nazis with bullets and axes is compounded by the knowledge that

every last one of them absolutely deserves it.

As much as I enjoy gleefully slaughtering digital fascists, I do have a couple complaints

regarding Wolfenstein II's gameplay.

Certain areas of the game are patrolled by Nazi commanders.

If you alert a commander to your presence with the sound of gunfire, they'll call

in extra waves of enemies you have to deal with.

If you feel like making things a bit easier on yourself, you can try sneaking through

areas by dispatching enemies silently.

This can be done with axe takedowns, or with the pistol and machine pistol if you have

their silencing upgrades.

If you can take out all the commanders in an area without being spotted, then you can

take out the rest of the enemies without reinforcements being called in.

The game does seem to encourage you to take the stealth option in these situations,

but this isn't always plausible.

A lot of areas felt genuinely impossible to get through without being noticed, especially

when there are tougher enemies present that can't be killed quickly and silently.

I feel like every stealth section ought to have a clear path you can take where you can

dispatch all the commanders without having to deal with any enemies that are bound to

start making noise before it's humanly possible to take them out.

Otherwise, it kind of defeats the purpose of even giving the player the illusion of

a stealth option to begin with.

If there's no plausible way for the player to navigate a section without bring spotted,

then the commanders are redundant, because in these situations they'll inevitably call

for reinforcements regardless of what the player does.

I feel like I should point out that I did like the stealth sections where these kinds

of powerful and noisy enemies were either absent or had an easy enough way to sneak past them.

In these parts, getting through them silently felt not only possible but also satisfying

to actually pull off.

Another big issue I had with the game was with the colission detection on parts of the maps.

The game's maps are packed with invisible walls and awkward to navigate geometry that

can be very frustrating to make sense of.

Too often it seems like there's something you can jump over or crawl under, or a ledge

you can climb up onto where things just don't work out how it feels like they should.

There were only a few specific areas where this became a serious problem, but it did

make moving around the game world a lot less fluid than it could have been.

This might just be a natural consequence of the game having such complex and realistic

terrain and geometry, but I still feel like a few tweaks here and there could make it

a lot more tolerable.

One last little peeve I had was that the directional damage indicators at the edge of the screen

were a bit too subtle and weren't obvious enough.

It took me a lot longer to figure out where damage was coming from than it should have

and I chalk a fair few of my deaths down to this problem.

So you know how I mentioned that you spend the first half of the game with only 50 max health

and 200 max armour thanks to the power armour you wear?

Well, once you get to about halfway through the game, things change up again.

Your max armour goes back down to 100 like in The New Order, but in exchange you get

a whopping 200 health points.

This isn't the only way the game changes at the halfway mark.

You'll also get a choice between three different power-ups that grant you bizzare new abilities.

The constrictor harness allows you to crawl through narrow vents that are otherwise inaccessible,

the ram shackles allow you to bust through certain obstacles, as well as stun and damage

enemies by sprinting into them, and the battle walker allows you to become much taller by

double-tapping the jump button, which allows you to access platforms that are too high

to get to otherwise.

You only get to choose one at first, though you can find the other two that you missed

after beating the main story.

I ended up going with the battle walker, as I figured it'd be useful for getting up

to tactical positions.

Plus it's probably the most unusual one so I was curious to see how well it'd work.

I was surprised at how well all three of these contraptions integrated with Wolfenstein II's gameplay.

The fact that the maps were designed around them and gave me plenty of opportunities to

use them effectively definitely helped.

Another change I really appreciated from the last Wolfenstein game is that you can now

pick up health, armour and ammo from the ground just by running over them, instead of having

to point at items and press 'E' for each one.

Though, I do wish the range for this was a tad bigger, as it can still be a bit of a

hassle running back and forth over big piles of items to make sure you got everything.

So I figure now I'll take the opportunity to talk a bit about the game's storytelling.

The plot did seem a bit all over the place at times.

Some parts were honestly a bit ridiculous, but in a strange way I can't really explain,

I feel like the at-times balls-to-the-walls plot developments actually suit the game really well.

The overall tone of the game, appropriately enough, reminds me a lot of Inglourious Basterds

in how it manages to blend dark and serious tones with absurdism and gratuitious hyper-violence.

One area where Wolfenstein II does well is the characters, a strength that carries across

from The New Order.

The resistance members you work with all have unique and distinct personalities, without

coming across as caricatured, striking that nice balance where they feel like real people.

Many have their own character arcs and relationships among themselves that really contribute to

making the resistance team feel alive.

For other characters, the game offers some insight into their personalities on the surface

level, but doesn't really dive too deep into their emotions or motivations.

This is totally justifiable of course, given that the main story can only contain so much,

but I would have liked it if the designers had taken more advantage of the video game

medium to allow more optional interaction with some of the more minor characters.

The focus is clearly on the main character William, and I liked the way they handled

him, to be honest.

You really get a fresh insight into his character via the exploration of his relationship with

his parents, and overall, he gets a lot more vulnerable moments than he did in the last game.

Irene Engel, who first appeared in The New Order, makes a return in The New Colossus

as the main antagonist, and is immediately established as a limitlessly cruel and despicable

invididual with little to no redeeming qualities.

Normally I'd be skeptical of such a seemingly one-dimensional villain, but somehow Wolfenstein II

manages to present Engel's psychopathic cruelty in an uncomfortably believable way.

Much of the enjoyment of her character comes from how easy it is to hate her, and how her

unrelenting asshattery makes the idea of finally serving up her just desserts very appealing.

Another aspect of Wolfenstein II's storytelling I appreciated was the various notes, letters,

and documents you can find lying around each map.

In these you can learn more tidbits about what's going on in Wolfenstein II's world,

such as history, recent events, and even just the lives of the ordinary people

caught up in everything.

If you're willing to go out of your way to inspect these objects, you get to read

about the perspectives of civilians, rebels, freedom fighters and even the nazis and their supporters.

If I were the kind of person to be more inclined toward sympathy for Nazis, I might even feel

a bit guilty about slaughtering them.

I mean, we are just committing senseless acts of violence against people

who disagree with us politically, after all.

Actually, this silly little tweet kind of leads into something else I wanted to explore

a bit in this video.

Some of the public reactions in the leadup to this game's release are very interesting to me.

Now, you may already know what I'm talking about, here.

For those of you not in the know, when Wolfenstein II started its official promotion campaign

on social media, a lot of people took issue with the idea of a video game

based around slaughtering nazis.

Supposedly, there's something about this particular iteration of a series of games

about murdering nazis that makes it somehow more political than all the other nazi-murdering

games that came before it.

And people are very upset about this.

Here we have Red Skull, showing his concern that the game might encourage people

to murder innocent Trump supporters.

Oh, here's another zesty one:

'No one gives a goddamn about the women of Wolfenstein.

Majority are sick of the forced female nonsense.'

Yes, what are these game designers thinking, putting those pesky women into my video games.

Women have no place in a game about militant anti-fascist resistance!

That's not realistic or reflective of reality or history at all!

'Yet again, most comments here are having a violence fetish with this game.

Wolfenstein will inspire the next mass shooting'

Good grief, didn't we leave this shit in 1999 with Columbine?

Oh look, someone even wrote an article about how they think Wolfenstein is encouraging real-world violence, on…

the Daily Stormer.

Oh my god.

'This is the face of a hero.

Join the resistance!'

'This is the face of a race traitor.

#antiwhite #WhiteGenocide'

In a pretty weird twist, some of the people

sooking about communism in their video games may actually have a point this time around.

One of the resistance fighters you work with in the game is actually described in his official

character biography as a Marxist, which you can imagine the reactions to.

Thankfully you don't have to because I have some really great ones right here.

Look, this guy even has the audacity to say what everyone's thinking!

Of course, it's the Jews who are responsible!

... Jesus Christ.

Even though, yeah, Horton is pretty clearly a commie, this isn't really as big of a

deal in the game as these gentlemen are making it out to be.

I mean, there's a scene where he argues a bit with BJ about the politics of war, and

he also seems to like hammers and sickles a fair bit, but he and his political leanings

aren't really fundamental to the story, much to my disappointment, obviously.

The dastardly Marxist propaganda in Wolfenstein II doesn't stop at our friend Horton, though.

The Black Revolutionary Front, one of the other resistance groups featured in the game,

takes some pretty clear inspiration from the Black Panther Party, which I thought was pretty damn cool.

The game even discusses how easily white capitalist America has accepted fascism in its story

somewhat through the mouthpiece of Grace, which I found to be surprisingly well done.

Of course, our friends on the other side of the political spectrum get some representation

for their ideology and leading figures too.

We even get an appearance from the Fuhrer himself, who conducts himself with all the

power and grace one would expect from such a strong and dignified leader.

His very presence commands respect, and I'm sure all of our National Socialist friends

will be very happy to know their leader is depicted in his full glory in this game.

I just want to take a moment to thank MachineGames for showing old Adolf the respect he deserves.

So, as for the game's visuals, my feelings are pretty mixed.

It's about what you'd expect from a modern 3D shooter with a realistic art style,

but not a whole lot more.

Most, but not all of the game takes place in relatively unexciting environments, like

dark gritty corridors, dark sewers and dilapidated city streets.

I'm not gonna fault the game too much for that.

Those kinds of environments are an expected result of the game's setting, after all,

and the game manages to make everything look pretty good, if a bit generic at times.

One of my favourite parts of the game, visually, was the part where you pay a visit to Roswell.

It was a nice change of pace to see a good amount of colour for once,

even if it is in a fascist dystopia.

The fact that part of the game takes place on Venus was pretty neat too – it was a

cool progression from the moon levels in The New Order.

The game ran fine on my PC at maxed-out graphics settings, but even in spite of my graphics

being set to the highest possible level, I still noticed a few things that disturbed me.

For one, the game's models and textures are pretty inconsistent in terms of quality.

Stop for a moment and take a close look at anything in the game from the objects in the

environment to the weapon in your hand and you'll notice lots of things don't look

quite as sleek as you'd expect them to, especially considering how dramatically the

maximum graphics settings hype themselves up.

Don't get me wrong, as a whole the game still looks really good, but nonetheless it

failed to meet the expectations it set for itself and left me feeling a bit underwhelmed.

I also encountered a few small but noticeable visual glitches as I played, particularly

one where certain visual effects would render as a weird black mass on my screen – but

I ain't gonna hold that one against the game, could just be hardware after all.

Wolfenstein II's soundtrack is pretty cool.

As you play the game, it transitions seamlessly from calm and ambient when things are safe,

to suspenseful when enemies around, to mechanical and aggressive during firefights.

It really suits the tone of the game, and although it didn't enamour me to the point

where I'd want to listen to it on its own, the game was definitely a better experience for having it.

Once you're done with Wolfenstein II's main story, the game also has a post-game

that involves returning to destinations you've been to as well as new ones to eliminate nazi commanders.

The enigma code items you collect through the game can be used to play a code-cracking

minigame which grants you access to the locations where the commanders are at.

There are fifteen of these missions, as well as one extra sixteenth one after you've

completed all the others.

These are all pretty standard, you just have to fight your way through the locations and

kill the target commander at the end, who'll be marked by a blue circle on your signal

to differentiate him from the other commanders you may come across.

You also get a chance to get your hands on the two contraption power-ups you missed out

on in the main story, as well as being able to complete side missions to unlock upgrades

for your contraptions, which come in the form of various passive buffs.

You can also take a crack at finding the rest of the collectibles hidden in the levels,

which take the form of gold, trading cards, concept art, toys, records, and more.

For me personally, the sheer quantity of collectible hidden items makes the idea of attempting

to 100% this game less than appealing.

Digging through each and every level looking for hundreds of more or less useless items

doesn't really appeal to me in the slightest, but I guess there must be some weirdo

out there who appreciates the opportunity.

An update to the game also added a 'combat simulation' mode, which allows you to replay

some of the levels you cleared during the main story, while competing for a high score

at the same time.

While I did appreciate the extra boost of gameplay that came from this and the commander

assassination missions, Wolfenstein II's post-game still felt barren to me.

On the Eva's Hammer U-Boat, the game's hub world, most of the main characters are

absent, and all the background dialogue that would previously change throughout the game,

is now set to the same lines and conversations on repeat.

All of the ever-changing character interactions that made the game's world feel alive are

suddenly stripped away after the main story ends, which is kind of jarring and makes the

post-game feel kind of lifeless.

It gets old very fast hearing the same conversation about comic books every time you arrive back

from an assassination mission, especially given how much these interactions changed

and varied during the main story.

So, final thoughts on Wolfenstein II.

Well, while the game did have its flaws, I thought it was a great experience – it was

a genuine pleasure to play through, and I'm looking forward very much to seeing what happens

with Wolfenstein III if that ever comes out.

So, I'm gonna go ahead and give the game four stars out of five.

And as always, uh, make sure to subscribe if you're interested in seeing what I do next.

I do have a lot of ideas floating around for games I'd like to review, other kinds of

videos I'd like to make, so if you're interested in seeing where that goes, uh,

yeah, chuck a sub if you haven't already, and I'll, uh, see you in the next video.

Eachine Beecore V2 Flight Controller Mini-Review - Duration: 5:35.

This unassuming piece of electronic is the Beecore version 2, a replacement all-in-one

flight board for quadcopters with a Blade Inductrix (or Tiny Whoop) style design.

Its main advantage is its F3 flight controller with the popular Betaflight firmware, allowing

you to configure things like flight modes and characteristics, not otherwise possible

on the Inductrix or most clones.

The original Beecore was launched in 2016, but recently the manufacturer released a second

version with OSD support.

In the context of FPV, OSD (or on-screen display) means the ability to layer useful information

from the flight controller over the FPV video feed.

This is achieved by intercepting the video signal between camera and transmitter and

piping it through the flight controller.

Because of this, you also need to use either a separate camera and video transmitter or

an all-in-one module with OSD support.

This is something I've been wanting to test out, so I decided to combine the Beecore v2

with (probably) my favorite Tiny Whoop style quadcopter, the Eachine E011.

This build (if you can call it that) will also feature an all-in-one FPV module of the

brand Turbowing, which seems to be one of the cheaper OSD capable micro solutions currently

available.

The total (excluding a compatible transmitter, which I already own) came to around $60.

A pretty good deal, provided – of course – it works in the end!

Welcome to this mini-review/brief tutorial/video of the Beecore v2 slash board…

…of the Beecore version 2 flight board.

The first step – as always – involves taking things apart until you aren't quite

sure you'll be able to put them back together again.

In this particular case it's the E011 which needs to have its flight board removed in

order to make room for the Beecore replacement.

If you're following along at home, take care not to yank the motor cables out of their

connectors or the sockets out from the board when disconnecting the motors!

Next, let's get the soldering out of the way!

There's a total of 6 solder points: 4 for connecting the camera and 2 for attaching

one of several provided battery pigtails.

There seem to be some confusion regarding the labeling of the "Video In" and "Video

Out" through holes, so if you don't get picture on the first attempt, just try reversing

these.

Now let's attach the Beecore to the frame!

When I held the board in place I noticed the micro USB port was partly obscured, so I took

away a bit of the frame with a Dremel tool before mounting the board.

Otherwise, the motors plug in the same way as before.

The Beecore comes with some screws and rubber spacers you can use if you want.

Okay, time to apply the final touches and boot up Betaflight Configurator!

The board comes with version 3.2 partly configured, so I really only had to setup some way to

arm it and switch flight modes, adjust the on-screen display to my liking and…

Oh!

In case this helps anyone – increase the "Motor PWM Speed" parameter, which for

some reason kept my build from being able to take off.

All-in-all, I'd estimate the whole process took a little over an hour.

…and we've got lift-off!

After a bit of the aforementioned tweaking, my Beecore-enhanced E011 flies well and – because

this is Betaflight – the experience is completely customizable.

Unfortunately though, I don't quite get neither the same power

nor flight time as with the stock board.

(I guess because the Beecore itself is more power hungry).

Flights last only around 3 minutes, so it feels a lot like going back to an original

Inductrix-based Tiny Whoop.

As you can see the OSD is working, showing various useful flight data: From flight time

to received signal strength.

(You'll see a couple of different variations throughout the video.)

After disarming, you even get this neat summary of your flight!

Via the OSD you can also access a very basic-looking but surprisingly deep menu, making it possible

to adjust a lot of Betaflight's parameters right there in the field!

As you can maybe tell, the battery voltage indicator doesn't seem to give an accurate

reading.

At first I just thought this was because the onboard sensor circuitry was defective or

wrongly calibrated, but then I learned this could actually be an accurate reading of when

you try draw a higher current from a battery than it is able to provide (so called voltage

sag).

I may just need to go shopping for a higher discharge rated battery.

All in all the Beecore v2 is pretty impressive considering its size and price, but I want

to stress it shouldn't be thought of as "practically ready to go" with just "some

assembly required".

Getting up and running can be a real – if fun – exercise.

For the best experience, I think you should expect a bit of a challenge and be prepared

for (or even enjoy) some trouble¬shooting.

As long as you are, I think you'll find the Beecore v2 a fun, "bite-sized" hobby

project!

As for my particular build, several things seem to indicate that the E011's stock battery

doesn't quite have enough punch to comfortably power both board, motors and the FPV module

I choose to go with.

If you're deciding on the parts for your own build, I recommend either choosing a different

model to base it off or – at least – getting one of Eachine's upgraded 45C batteries,

as I will do.

Hey there and thanks for watching this not-quite-review and not-quite-tutorial… thing.

Also, sorry for the long hiatus, I'll try to deliver the next video in a more timely

fashion!

See you in the next review, bye!

Eachine QX65 Tiny Whoop mit F3 FC und OSD Anzeige Review DE - Duration: 4:49.

This is the Eachine QX65 Tiny Whoop brushed quadcopter with a F3 flight controller and an OSD.

On the F3 board is the good 6000 gyro with integrated receiver.

There are three models with DSMX, Flysky and FrSky receivers.

Downstairs is easily accessible USB port.

The battery connection is unfortunately still the old JST PH 1.25 and not the PH 2.0.

But this is a good HV battery with 3.8 volts.

I would have liked a PH 2.0 connection so I could use my existing batteries.

But you can easily upgrade the power plug to PH 2.0.

There is a replacement cable that was already for the E010 to buy.

The CMOS camera have a good video quality with the 25mW transmitter and the linear antenna.

The video channels can be switched with the screwdriver from behind the slots on the camera canopy.

You can also see the back wall of the camera where the channel LED's are located.

I have a DSMX board here. With the Flysky and FrSky Board the binding button is easily accessible.

The camera canopy is attached with three screws.

The AIO camera can even be adjusted up to 20 degrees.

It is held only by the two side screws.

A USB charger for a HV battery is with both adapters - the PH 1.25 and 2.0

The switch is for charging 3.8v HV or normal 3.7v batteries.

The QX65 is light and weighs less than 21 grams and ready to fly 27 grams.

The user manual is very detailed , here the DSMX manual.

You can find all the information about binding with the remote control, to the camera video transmitter

and detailed description of the flight controller.

The USB charger recognizes by the LED that one recharges a HV battery with 4.35 volts.

I turn the switch on. The LED goes off and it is charged only up to 4.2V.

Loading is fast with 660mA.

I have here a practical voltage tester for all 1S Lipos with different connections.

I charge the battery via a USB power adapter that has three USB ports.

After charging the HV battery is fully charged with 4.32 volts.

The Tiny Whoop flies very well.

He is very agile in the light weight and does not lose in fast turns at the height.

Always has enough power and does not sink to the ground by itself,

as happens with bad or heavy brusched quadcopters.

So a perfect Tiny Whoop for indoor.

Outside you can fly the QX65 well, but only if it is not windy.

The FPV video looks very good in the FPV goggles.

Recorded here with the Fatshark HD3.

You can easily fly in stabilized mode, or with manual practice in acro mode.

The FPV flight time is about 4.5 minutes.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - S02E32 - Episode Review - Duration: 6:01.

Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power

Rangers and then discuss it!

Today, we're exploring the ninety second episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as

well as the thirty second episode of Season 2, titled "Rocky Just Wants to Have Fun".

We begin this episode at the Youth Center where Billy is tutoring Rocky in math, which

is actually a really cool moment because you find out that for once, one of the Rangers

isn't amazing at every single thing they do.

Rocky also mentions how his karate student will show up soon.

Then, Ernie shows off his new pachinko machine, which is basically handwaved as a fancy spinball

game from Asia because, well, it is, but you collect pachinko balls as a reward.

Thanks for knowing everything, Billy.

Rocky tries it, and he says "this is too fun!" after literally nothing has happened.

Zedd sees this and says if Rocky wants fun, he'll make sure that's all he's having.

At least he finally stopped targeting Adam every three seconds.

Zedd casts a spell on the pachinko machine which immediately hits him, and Billy tells

Rocky they need to finish studying, and Rocky basically tells him to shove it, because he's

having fun.

Now…

Serpentera is out and about with Zedd and Goldar pilot on their way to Earth.

Rocky then calls Billy a nerd again before Skull shows up with a lot of maps and information,

finding out that every time a monster has attacked Angel Grove, Ernie has had the day

off.

They then assume Ernie is a Power Ranger.

Rocky's karate student shows up, and Rocky tells her to go away.

Billy meets up with the other Rangers in the park who are playing with a frisbee.

He lets them know how Rocky is being a total dick, and it's funny because they seem to

assume that it means that they just messed up picking a new Red Ranger.

Then, putties show up by then, and there's a cool putty fight.

Aisha is a total square who calls Zordon for help right away, and Zordon says "I'll

send Rocky".

Alpha finally gets in touch with Rocky, who tells them to buzz off, but then he decides

he could have fun at the park, so he shows up to goof off basically.

Zedd then decides this is the moment he needs to turn something into a monster, and as Bulk

and Skull get covered in popcorn, distracting Ernie, the pachinko machine is zapped away.

Then Ernie asks them if they've seen the machine, which is funny because Ernie just

knew that they were there the entire time.

The new monster Pachinkohead appears in front of them, and the six morph while Rocky runs

around like a freakin' idiot in one of the most giffed moments in Power Rangers history.

He then turns Aisha, Kim, and Billy into big pachinko balls, leaving only Adam and Tommy.

Then, the monster starts playing soccer with the Rangers in ball form with Rocky.

Then, Adam tries to be brave and save the others, and he gets turned into a pachinko

ball before he just turns around and transforms Rocky, too.

Tommy distracts the monster with the frisbee, collects his friends, and teleports into the

Command Center with them all.

Tommy shows up to bitch about how much Rocky sucks as a Ranger, and Alpha runs a test,

letting them know that he's been put under a spell.

Zordon tells Tommy to go to the amusement park because Pachinkohead is on a rampage.

Tommy then shows up to talk to Saba for like the third time ever before Pachinkohead runs

away, and Goldar is mad that the monster wants to play instead of fight.

Zedd says screw this, just make him big, so he does.

Tommy calls out his White Tiger Thunderzord, converting it immediately into Warrior Mode,

fighting the giant monster.

He gets hit out of the zord pretty easily, falling onto the ground.

Alpha restores Rocky first for some odd reason, but he's not under the spell anymore for

absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Rocky feels bad for being a sucky ranger, and he morphs out of there to help Tommy.

He immediately calls out the Red Dragon Thunderzord, converts it to Warrior Mode, and he just starts

beating the monster instantly.

Meanwhile, Alpha has to turn up the voltage of his device, and he frees the other Rangers.

Zordon says that Tommy's zord is damaged, so they have to go help Rocky now.

It's morphin time!

All four call out their Thunderzords, forming the Thunder Megazord, after a brief fight,

they use the Thunder Saber, killing the monster.

But what's this?

Serpentera is now on Earth?

For absolutely no reason whatsoever?

He appears, firing at them, and it knocks four of the Rangers out of their zords, leaving

just Rocky on his own.

Thankfully, Tor comes out of literally nowhere, standing up and protecting the Red Dragon

Thunderzord before it's just kicked over by Serpentera again.

Zedd is getting all high and mighty in the giant dragon when suddenly, the eyes go dark

again, leaving Serpentera almost powerless.

Again.

They bail so that they can use whatever is left of their power to get back to the moon.

What a waste of my time.

At the Youth Center, a news report says how the Power Rangers saved the city, and Bulk

is mad at Skull because Ernie was there the entire time.

Rocky shows up to meet with Aisha and Billy to let them know that he's going to hit

the books with them after karate class, and his student comes in.

The pachinko machine appears back by Ernie, and Ernie offers for Rocky to come play another

round of pachinko, and Rocky declines.

The end.

Okay, usually, I'd say this episode is absolutely terrible and the one of the worst I've ever

seen because I despised this episode as a child.

Now, looking at it through adult eyes instead of a bias child, I can say that it's perfectly

serviceable as an episode.

However, I think the most interesting part of this episode is that it was originally

titled "Jason Just Wants to Have Fun".

Yeah, before the switch up in cast, scripts had obviously been written beforehand, and

they just did a "Control + Find" on some scripts and rewrote certain parts of others

to make things work.

That honestly makes a lot more sense for this episode because we don't know anything about

Rocky at all, so he being a goofball could legitimately just be his character.

If it were Jason, it'd make more sense.

Other than that, the Serpentera part was severely shoehorned in, it almost hurt.

I don't know why they were just reusing footage from its debut in this episode, but

well, there you have it.

Will next time get any better?

Until then, may the power protect you!

2018 Airstream Missouri review: Camping & Caravanning - Duration: 3:07.

Airstream. The 'silver bullet' American trailer, with the riveted aluminium shell:

it's a design classic.

It's not aimed at typical caravanners. Airstream avoids the word caravan in its marketing.

This is a travel trailer

You won't see many families with young children in a four-berth tourer like this.

It's a luxury item for a well-heeled audience,to bring a different kind of customer to dealer forecourts.

It was relaunched in the UK in October 2017 , and is now distributed by the Swift Group.

Swift has put its own stamp on these tourers and by rethinking the interior finish for the British market.

Inside the Missouri, the four-berth layout features a front lounge, central kitchen, washroom and end bed.

This is this is the Americana furnishing option, which I really like.

There are alternatives though if you prefer darker colour schemes.

There are LED lights throughout, a stereo/MP3 player, and overhead are these Perspex lockers.

There are plenty more regular European-style caravan bits and pieces in here though.

There's a Dometic fridge freezer, gas hob and combined oven and grill, Alde heating and hot water.

The kitchen feels very solid, with Corian worktops, large steel sink and a wooden cutlery drawer.

The washroom has a chunky Corian shelf and sink and quite surprising lime green walls

and a soap dispenser

Otherwise, it has a regular European style Thetford caravan loo.

At night time the rear fixed bed is the comfiest, with a Duvalay mattress.

In the front lounge the table lowers on a telescopic leg to make another double.

The Missouri is the smallest of three models and the only single axle trailer.

While there are a few things you'd expect to find in a high-end caravan,

such as anexternal shower and gas BBQ point, there are a few differences too.

There's a pull-out tray for the battery, an onboard fresh water tank and a step for the offside entry door,

all of which are more commonly found in expensive motorhomes.

There's this permanently fixed roll out awning, a rear storage locker, plus these lovely wraparound windows.

A steel stone guard acts as armour against stone chips, and the gas bottle box is just that - a box.

The Airstream Missouri's aluminium bodyshell makes it very heavy.

This model is less then 7m long but still weighs 1825kg laden, an 86% match for this BMW X5.

And with this model priced at £78,495 you've got to really want one.

But take the plunge and you're buying into a truly unique lifestyle.

Victorinox INOX - In-depth review (HR & EN subtitles) - Duration: 11:54.

Hi and welcome to another Watch Geek video!

Today I'll be doing a review of a Victorinox INOX watch.

But first I would like to thank Silvertime watch store for supplying this watch and if

you want to check them out, you can click on the link in the

description.

This watch debuted in 2014. on 130th

anniversary of the company and was heavily advertised as an

incredibly tough watch with no less than, you guessed it, 130 tests performed on it.

Some of these tests were a bit weird, like being washed in a laundry

machine for 2 hours at 90 degrees, but some were pretty

impressive, like being run over by a 64 ton tank, or being dropped from 10 meters of height

onto a concrete surface, which is what G-Shocks were

known for when they were first introduced.

And speaking of G-Shocks, one has to mention them, as I

see this watch as a Swiss version of a G-Shock, with the

usual Swiss attributes, meaning more elegant, more traditional and naturally, more expensive

than its Japanese counterpart.

When this watch was released I tried to find out what exactly Victorinox did to make this

watch tough, as the specs suggested that the watch is powered

by a standard quartz movement, and some reviewers said the watch is just a standard quartz that's

been advertised as super tough, when in fact any quartz

watch would be that tough.

But then again, people say that about G-Shocks as well, and although it

might be true when it comes to digital watches, with analog ones, it's a bit different as

they have parts that can fall off due to high forces during

an impact.

The way Casio solved that on their Gravitymaster series, as they are all analog, is by encasing

the movement in Alpha Gel, an incredible material that

absorbs shocks and vibrations in such an impressive way that the only explanation for its existence

is that it comes from Aliens!

If you don't believe me, watch this video of an egg being dropped from a height

of 6m onto only 5cm of that material.

In case that wasn't enough, they made the hands balanced, so they

have the exact same weight on the front part as well as on the counterweight part, meaning

that when the watch is subjected to shock, the stress

is evenly distributed.

On top of that the shaft of the hands is much wider than on usual analog watches to

make for a sturdier attachment.

And if all of these failed they incorporated what Casio calls a Tough

Movement technology, meaning the watch checks the

position of its hands once every hour and corrects them if necessary.

So as you can see, that watch differs from regular quartz watches quite a bit.

When it comes to INOX, the only info they give and boast about is

that the dial is what they call a monobloc design, meaning it's

completely stamped, so the applied hour markers aren't really applied but are a part of the

dial that has just been shaped to look like an hour marker,

so the hour markers can't fall off.

They may have done some other alterations to the watch but they

certainly haven't told us about it, which means they maybe

haven't.

When I compare the amount of engineering that went into making a Gravitymaster shock resistant,

to what Victorinox did to make the INOX shock

resistant, I really wanted to hate INOX, especially at the

price they are asking for it, which was about $500 at the release, but guess what.

Upon holding one in my hands, I must admit that not only do I not

hate it, but surprisingly, I like it quite a lot and see the appeal.

A Gravity master is a still a G-Shock, meaning

it comes with a G-Shock design that is not to everyone's

liking.

This on the other hand has a more serious design that one might call elegant compared

to a G-Shock.

Everything is beautifully shaped and gives you this feeling like the watch was SCULPTED.

I especially love the design of the bezel that looks a lot like the one on the Girard-Perregaux

Laureato, in fact, the whole watch looks like the GP on

steroids.

The crownguards are very big but flow with the case beautifully while giving the crown

one of the best protections I have seen, so the crown just

looks tucked away and safe from any harm.

It is naturally a screw-down crown which gives this watch a

200m water resistance.

The finish of the case is a wonderful brushing that is done very well and feels silky under

your fingers.

The only polished parts are found on the slopes of the bezel.

I would usually say that such a tough watch would be better of without the polished parts

as they will pick up scratches easier, but they just make the

watch pop, and when I try to visualize it all scratched and beaten up, it looks even

better that way.

If you really want to preserve the watch, you do

get this G-Shock looking bumper protection, but with it, the

watch loses the one thing that separates it from G-Shocks, so I prefer to wear it without

one.

Oh and just to make it clear, the 10m drop test I mentioned

at the beginning was done without the bumper, so you

don't have to worry about the watch losing its toughness if you wear it naked.

You can also order a full body bumper that covers the watch completely,

and it comes in different colors, but like I said, it works and looks best

the way it is.

The strap is genuine rubber, and has to be one of the best rubber straps I ever tried.

It is not the plasticky junk you find on older Seiko divers,

but it's also not the overly soft dust and lint magnet found

on newer ones.

Now don't get me wrong, I love newer Seiko rubber straps, but this one is right in

between when it comes to softness and pliability which makes it perfect.

There is only one other strap I wore that felt this way, and it was on my

Orient STI from 2010.

It was durable, comfortable and just a joy to wear, all day, every day.

The only negative is that it is 21mm wide, which is an odd size, somewhat

limiting your strap options.

And speaking of strap options, ever since the INOX was introduced people

were praying for a bracelet, and after supposedly 2 years in development they did make one,

so now you have that option as well.

On top of that, if you want the full "doomsday survivor" styling, you can have it

on a Paracord strap as well.

When it comes to wear-ability the watch is large at 43mm in diameter and a lug to lug

of 51mm.

The thickness is 13mm and it comes in at a hefty

138g on a rubber strap, which helps in making the watch

feel sturdy.

Surprisingly it doesn't wear as large as it's dimensions would suggest, but I would still

like to try the 37mm version just to see how it sits

on my wrist, plus that one is a no-date version which in my

opinion looks better because of that.

Since I mentioned the 37mm version I should also mention that the

INOX is also offered as a divers watch with a rotating bezel, round lume markers and increased

size to 45mm, while the regular one is also offered

in titanium and carbon case with slightly different dial that

has the 3,6,9 numerals on the dial and a 24 hour scale on the underside of the crystal.

The crystal on all models is a flat sapphire and they say it's triple coated with AR, hopefully

on the underside only, but again there is no info

on it, so we can only guess.

The crystal sits just slightly lower than the bezel meaning it's well protected

against chipping and a 65 ton tank driving across it.

The dial is, like I said, stamped from a single piece, but it doesn't give you that impression.

It really look like it has applied markers and thanks to

the sloping chapter ring with these cutouts for the markers it

has some depth to it.

The chapter ring also has the 24 hour scale or military time on it, but it's so small

that one almost doesn't notice it at all.

What one does notice is the outer part of the chapter ring that has

yet another set of markers, and these are divided like on mechanical watches which makes

no sense on a watch that ticks once a second.

So it's just a gimmick, and feels like they finished the dial and case,

and when they went to assemble the watch they noticed the two didn't fit, so to fill in

the gap they just made another chapter ring with a new set of

markers.

It really looks like an afterthought and should have

no place on otherwise a pretty well designed watch.

And I really like the design of both the dial and the

hands, and love their use of the company logo as a 12 o'clock marker.

It makes the dial less cluttered and very legible.

The date is at 4:30 and done in white.

Honestly I think the watch would look better without the date all together, or if they

had to use it, I wish they went with black or matching green.

The lume is a bit of a let down on this watch, because the rest of the watch really set the

bar pretty high and exceeded my expectations, so I kind of

expected the lume to be on the same level, but sadly, it isn't.

It's not completely useless, but it was barely visible when I woke up at 5am, and that was

after it was charged extensively with a UV flashlight before

I went to bed.

For comparison I did the same with my SNX111, just to see how the 2 compare, and

the SNX was a lot easier to read and visibly stronger, and I

consider it a dressy watch.

Whether the diver model has better lume, I have no idea, but I do hope

it does.

The watch is powered by a swiss made Ronda 715 quartz movement, and I really cannot complain

about it.

It is a high torque quartz movement with an End of Life indicator, meaning the seconds

hand will skip to let you know when to change the battery,

and that will not happen very often as it's rated to have a 5

year battery life which is impressive for an analog watch.

I also love that the seconds hand hits the markers pretty much perfectly, which is often

not the case even on more expensive watches.

I did read about some people's watches being off but

the ones I had the opportunity to see were all near perfect.

To conclude, the Victorinox INOX is an excellent swiss made refined version of a G-Shock that

has such

a feeling of sturdiness and heft to it, that you feel like it can really withstand anything

you throw at it.

It also looks great, and feels great on the wrist.

So even if you are a mechanical watch lover, having a grab

and go quartz watch is always good, especially when it feels and looks as tough as this one

does.

I personally have my G-Shocks for that, but

if you want a more classic looking "end of the world" watch,

this will fit great.

It is a bit pricey for a beater watch, but that's the price of having a swiss made beater.

If you live in the US, you lucky bastards, just

like with G-Shocks that are ridiculously cheap there compared

to the rest of the world, these can often be had at way under $300 which makes it a bargain

for what it offers.

Some have argued they would like to see a mechanical version as well, but a mechanical

watch could never be as tough as even the cheapest

quartz watch, so I doubt a mechanical version will ever

see the light of day.

Even if it does, it will most certainly not be able to handle a 10m drop test, well

maybe if it was encased in a lot of that Alpha gel I mentioned at the beginning.

Well, this pretty much completes this week's review, so thank you for watching.

I hope you enjoyed, if you did, please like and subscribe by pressing

Teclast F6 Pro Active Stylus Unboxing & Review - Duration: 10:10.

So it finally arrived my stylus for the Teclast f6 Pro laptop that I reviewed

approximately two weeks ago it's right here at the background so this one has a

hybrid screen on it because it's a convertible you can flip it right around

and convert this laptop into a tablet now this stylus here apparently has 1024

levels of pressure sensitivity now be really careful ordering it because I got

Express shipping with this one because I wanted to get it in time for my review

and it never arrived in time anyway but I had to pay with DHL a mass of 27 euros

tax on this and the cost of this stylus is only about 19 or 20 US dollars so it

did turn out to be very expensive so we'll take a look at it in this video

here see how it performs now I've got no means to test at 1024 levels of pressure

sensitivity but I'll have a look and see how it writes for people want to do a

lot of handwriting a couple of little sketches try and draw some lines and

things like that just so you get an idea of the performance you can expect out of

the stylus so good news is it does come with a quad a battery because those

batteries tend to be quite expensive and normally all Silas's that do have one of

those batteries will include it in the box at least so this here I think is

just probably a guide no it's just like a warranty guarantee card or something

but that's all in Chinese I don't read Chinese and here we have this stylus

which feels really light one if it's made out of plastic so this part here

that actually feels okay that's just made out of an alloy there so that's

very lightweight and of course we've got to put the battery in there and the tip

of it no not rubber that's just a hard plastic

unfortunately we're nice if that was rubber because it just feels a little

bit better and doesn't tend to scratch the screen protector so this has a

screen protector on it and I imagine it's going to probably end up scratching

that up quite a bit and then we have two buttons there is no button on the rear I

do like it when they have these statuses with an eraser on the end I find is a

lot more handy than having to use the buttons or go and select the eraser

function okay so when I first disc out the hover

feature of this stylus and I can see it does have it but okay you got to touch

the screen first I think to turn on activate that hover is only

approximately about three centimeters away now normally you actually see the

hover being a little further away from that it's already marking on there so

test out a little bit of the sensitivity so I press really lightly at the moment

and then a little harder there and it's a thicker line of course just try a

different pin there probably would work out better okay so that doesn't seem too

bad I'm trying droid us to some straight lines as straight as I can there doesn't

seem to be too much like that's relatively fast I'm in OneNote here of

course now right on the corners of the screen sometimes they don't work right

up to the corner but I can see that it it does actually right on to the edge

there so that is good right along the edge I love some of those other cheaper

styluses don't allow you to do that because they didn't have the digitizer

panel right up against the very edge but this I can see does now accuracy of that

nib there I think I need to configure this it seems to be right in the middle

I can see it's not too bad because we've got a non laminated screen of course

that pointer is going to be about 101.5 millimeters away from the screen so

that's accounting for some of that inaccuracy there a little bit but it

doesn't seem to be too bad that point if you have a look is quite close to the

nib I'll just zoom in here to try and show you that accuracy you can see where

the point is right now and if I touch see where it is that's actually quite a

little bit away from a bit of course it depends on the way you have it angled at

the moment I don't have that angled I would sort of straight up there's what

you need to do and there it is having said that once it's writing it seems to

be okay but it is off a little bit there if you see approximately about a

millimeter half a millimeter so but it comes and goes doesn't it with that

accuracy so you probably just need to configure like right there now it's to

the right of it the pointer and there it's just lagging a little bit but

overall I don't feel that is too bad considering that the screen is non

laminated this is definitely not an intrigue stylus the surface stylus which

is probably a lot better than this one in fact no it is a lot better of course

than this particular stylus I've converted the laptop now into

tablet mode so the screens lying down most people would probably be using the

stylus like this so let's test out now just doing a little bit of handwriting

here check out the palm rejection rejection that it's got so I'll just

right here hello there that is some messy handwriting now holding down the

button at the top that should allow me to just erase the strokes which I can as

you can see and I'll just select a different color here if the accuracy is

going to let me I've got a double tap I'll hold down so just getting select

another color and we'll check out that palm rejection so touching now as long

as the stylus is there nothing's gonna happen lift that up and then yeah lets

you move it around okay so raise that again do a little bit more handwriting

Oh what just happened then so right there writing that T it shifted so the

accuracy of the pointer shifted right to the right then distress split second I

don't know whether that was probably actually me moving with my palms so you

try to have two we're gonna have to try to keep the stylus touching the screen a

little bit more than it went normally otherwise you risk moving things around

there which is a little bit of a problem so now there's to some screwball I did

before I haven't actually and raised all of that just testing it out so

definitely a bit of a learning curve here to try and and get their best

performance with the stylus so just try and draw in our little cartoon I'm not

an artist by the way so prepare for the worst

just try and draw something very simple a very simple and ugly looking what's

going on that's not detecting just then a couple of times the stroke so I mean

so far well it looks more like home actually not bad some sent there you go

that is very poor and this stylus isn't exactly amazing to kind of think this is

a little bit of pores well what's going on is just sometimes writing there it

doesn't want to work it's either the poem rejection or it really doesn't me I

need to get used to doing this properly so

okay no actually how many doesn't have a lot of here so what am i doing so

there's ears you've got those two but two here at the top and store his body

there for a second and what is he gonna say hey man all right that doesn't seem

too bad this time around so it's gonna take a lot of practice to get used to

using this particular stylus but their performance at least on one note here

yeah that is very fast but then again look it just missed us bit then why is

that happening is that the pressure levels not just sure about that I can

see to that looking at it an angle that the tip because it's plastic and I have

the screen protector on it is leaving these tiny little faint scratches there

so let's have a look now at Photoshop performance with the stylus okay so this

is just going to be a quick test of pressure sensitivity really just to see

if it's gonna be working in here now I'm doing this very lightning I can see it's

just leaving a mark there so at least that's good and if I press down here

looks like it's gonna leave yes it does leave more of a mark when the TV you

start to press and gain more scratches on that screen protector so you probably

want to go for a tempered glass screen protector there if you intend to use

this a lot but the problem with that is because the non laminated screen the

adding more you lating like a millimeter more so there's probably gonna make the

stylus even less accurate and perhaps affect its performance so you might just

be better off risking not even using a screen protector so that seems to be

working okay it is the pressure sensitivity in Photoshop seems to be

quite a bit more sensitive than it does in one night one no doesn't really seem

to support it well it does support it but it doesn't seem to be as sensitive

but it's good to see that as least working here okay guys so that is the

stylus there for the f6 Pro and overall I don't find it to be a particularly

good stylus okay we do have the pressure sensitivity and it does seem to work

okay there but what I'm not happy with is the accuracy of the pointer like

right now in Photoshop that is quite accurate the problem is that when I was

writing at least sketching and trying to write right here in OneNote that the

problem was that the Knibb where it was registering would

shift to the left or right about two millimeters and I believe the culprit is

probably down to the fact that this is a non laminated screen so the gap in it so

we've got a d-- IPS panel and then we've got the digitizer glass which is

soda-lime glass there's a gap of around two millimeters now on premium tablets

something like a surface pro for that gap is non-existent and it looks a lot

more accurate definitely when you use it the tip of it of course being plastic

means it's going to scratch up the screen protector and overall if you're

an artist or you're quite serious about your sketches drawing and you need a

good stylus you like to write a lot of notes you will get quite frustrated and

you will be disappointed with this stylus I feel so if you really need a

tablet or a notebook a convertible like this look for more premium options look

at something like the Microsoft Surface pro three or four perhaps a used one and

just hunt around even a surface book - it's better

something with a Wacom or intrigue stylus is ten times better than this one

thanks a lot for watching this little overview and quick demonstration quite a

poor demonstration because I'm not an artist of the f6 stylus

Godox TT685-O Flash Unit Review - Duration: 13:39.

Hello I'm Graham and I hope everyone's having a great day and

welcome to this product review for the godox TT 685

now this one is the old version which is for olympus and Panasonic cameras but

you can get this flash unit for the Nikon Canon Fuji and Sony varieties so

you've got a complete set of manufacturers third-party replacement

flash units if you wanted to go this route now I bought the 685 after

purchased the tities 350 and was impressed by its performance and its

build quality these little units are only 70 pounds in the UK and they can

act as masters and slaves and optical slave but they work on radio frequencies

so they aren't line of sight as you do have with optical triggering so these

give you a very reliable wireless trigger if you wanted to use them as

slave flashes so the 685 is a much bigger units got a

higher guide number and it's got a couple of additional features that the

smaller units don't have now in this review I'm not going to cover every

feature that the splashing it has that's been I could adequately covered by a lot

of other reviewers here on YouTube but I'm going to point out some of the

features that I haven't been able to find in some of those reviews so

hopefully this will fill in some of the gaps if you're considering buying the TT

685 well first of all it is a olympus panasonic version i'm talking about so

some of the features may not be included in all the other manufacturers and in

fact some of the other manufactures are features that are not included with the

old version for example the autofocus as this light doesn't exist on the olympus

unit but it does on the nikon and canon so that's a variety that you may have to

look out for now one of the features of this unit that

hasn't been mentioned is a fight you can actually set it up for the scale on the

back of the flash unit which gives you an indication of how you can use that in

terms of distance you can set that up in either feet or meters through the

function button on the back of the flash unit in the function menu can set up

meters or feet so if you're in the states for example and you're still

using the foot measure then it actually gives you an ideal way of setting the

distance indicator into meters that you are familiar with here in europe we're

using meter sights it's better for us to set that into the meter scale and the

other feature that's into this setup is the fact you can use

this on Micro Four Thirds system or on one three five system now it's the zoom

scale on the banks so with the zoom facility set to be in Micro Four Thirds

if i zoom the aqua 4/3 lens to 40 millimeters you will see 40 millimeters

appear on the back of the camera but if you wanted to use this camera on say

upon giant bridge camera whose zoom range is set in 1/35 equivalent focal

length to be switched to cell were to that one 35 equivalent focal length if

you set the say f said 300 up to 100 millimeters this will zoom to that 100

millimeters equivalent so you gettin the exact field of view from the flash head

as you are taking with your picture so that is a useful feature

now this flush had black zoom zoom all the way up to 200 millimeters so it's

ideal for wildlife type pictures and it gives out extra throw because the frame

will lens brings that beam in and focuses that light into a smaller area

hence the higher guide number now I will come back to that guide number later in

this video as I believe that the guide number they're quoting is far overstated

to what you actually get in reality so the other features of the unit that you

won't have seen mentioned is the fact there is a little sensor on the unit I

presume it's on all of the units but it's definitely here on the Olympus

version there is a sensor in the head a little LED infrared LED and in the body

of the flash unit is a sense of behind of the read window and that appears to

give you an indication of when the flush isn't horizontal or you've got any

rotation on so if their head is up or slightly rotated

there'll be an arrow on the flash indicator which tells you that you are

not in the home position weather changes and the electronic parameters the lavash

I haven't been able to determine but it does give you a visual warning that

you're not in the horizontal or you're in a vertical position now one of the

other features are seeing criticized of this unit is the actual flash head

stiffness now when I got this it was extremely stiff and if you try to rotate

the on the camera it would try to twist the

flash unit out of the hot shoe but a simple solution to that is to turn the

head to the 90 degrees version and then just spray a little bit of Dodie 40 in

either side of the head just wipe off the excess and that dilutes down the

grease that got activeview is to lubricate little ball and the ratchet in

there that gives you the detent positions in the position so once you've

done that that flash head is the same as any other sort of third party Chinese

manufacture flash unit they are quite good and again the the swivel is quite

good now you can set this up as a on-camera flash

and use it in the TTL mode just using the standard hotshoe communication to

the to the flash unit as a standard TTL flash gun or you can use this as a

master flash in a TTL compatible set up or if you wanted to you can do as a

master flash in a manual setup depends how you're going to set up your slave

units so if you're going to use it as the master in a radio frequency control

session so if I've got multiple flash units that have been set up as radio

frequency slaves I can set those in the one of three groups that this system

allows and different channels up to 32 so you can set different channels if you

were working with someone else in the studio and you're interfering on the

same radio frequency channel you could change the channel at which you're

operating so you can set this up as a master within the group or you can just

have it as a communication device but if you're going to use it as a

communication device you use your waist and the effect of the flash and you're

better to use the go Docs dedicated transmitter now this is the old

transmitter it's for the olympus system but you can get transmitters for other

ranges of cameras so you can get the Nikon and the Canon and I believe there

is a sunny one available now or and the Fuji one so you could use these master

transmitters to communicate with the flash units now the beauty of the go

duct system is even if I've got this unit off camera and set up on a light

stand if I'm using my Canon system with the Canon transmitter the actual display

will tell that I'm using a cannon transmitter so

if I was using the solar system you'd see Sony appear on the back of their

part using the Nikon it would seen economic up there just to remind you use

in the Nick on system so this is a cross compatibility for the flash units and

they work quite well if you're using them in the manual mode then there's no

concern you just using them as a straightforward manual slave but in the

TTL mode you've got this cross compatibility so you can use different

systems with your existing flash units and again if you've got studio classes

like the bigger at 600 B TTL version you could control the TTL version or the ad

200 again you could control in a TTL mode with any of the camera triggers

whether it's Nikon Canon Olympus or whatever so the gutter system and the

x-series is quite a useful feature if you want to upgrade your cameras you

only need to upgrade your transmitter and not all the flashbacks now one of

the things I found that doesn't work is the flash exposure compensation even if

you're on camera if you change the flash exposure compensation in the menuing

system you won't get a corresponding change in flash output power from the

unit so if you want to use flash exposure compensation you've got to use

the flash exposure compensation built into the flash head and you've got plus

and minus three stops of exposure compensation high-speed sync works once

you press the high-speed sync mode on here it overrides the normal one three

twentieth of a second exposure with the olympus system it tells the camera to

use the higher shutter speed and here is a picture on the screen where i've used

this at one 2,000 a second is a 100 in daylight with an aperture of over 3.2 to

darken down the sky and the flash has given enough power there to fill in the

daylight shadows so that's a high speed sync again you can set that up from your

muster commander if you've got this unit set up on a light stand the other thing

that doesn't work is when you're off camera you can't control the zoom of

your off-camera slaves so again you'd have to physically change the zoom

length of your units before you start your shoot you can't rely on setting the

zoom to 45 on here on your slaves to follow

just doesn't work for some reason and doesn't seem to work on any of the god

ups range of equipment that I've tried with using the transmitters so again

just a bit of a failing there you can't use the zoom you've got a golfer to set

up your individual units now look at the guide number caught you by God ox for

this system they're saying it's a guide number of

about 60 but that's at the 200 millimeters full length again with all

these camera manufacturers they tend to give you the guide anumber with it

zoomed out to full so a hundred and five millimeters is a norm for these flash

units but this one will actually go out to 200 millimeters and they give you a

guide number of 60 when I test this out using live flash meter additional one

meter width is our one hundred and sixtieth of a second shutter speed I get

a flash exposure of f-22 so that tells me of the guide number is 22 meters not

sixty and again if you pull this back to the 14 millimeters position that guy

number drops to f-16 so our 16 ohm meter so again the guide numbers tend to be

overstated and again I've tested this with on-camera flash with a camera set

to f-22 a distance of one meter from the subject iso:100 shutter:160 earth and

the exposure was correct so the guide number is a little bit overstated in my

opinion for the flash unit if you par this unit you are using for double a

nickel metal hydride batteries and the recycle time is about two and a half

seconds so if I reached pry this off at full power you can hear the beep it's

about two and a half seconds but very quickly that recycle time drops away

they come up something like two hundred and ten flashes up to full power with a

freshly set of 2,500 milliamp hour nickel metal hydride batteries if you

were 210 flashes I think you'll be watching about five hours for it to

recycle I can't get anything like that with my 2500 milliamp hour battery

after about 40 exposures then these batteries are into five or six seconds

recycle time now if you're into event photography or you want to capture a lot

of flash pictures then it would be advisable to use a flash pack now the

part input on the front of this is a Canon system so if you use the Canon

compatible battery pack and this one is manufactured by shoot you plug this into

the power socket on the front of the camera you'll get an indication that

you're providing par from your 8 butters in this unit and that gives you a much

faster recycle time a more consistent flash to recycle time so again if I fire

this off again the flash comes back under 2 seconds and that's consistent

and you can see that the flash unit here is providing the part of the unit again

there's over temperature protection in the flash head if you try to drive it

too hard with too many full power flashes or if using it in the

stroboscopic mode and you over exceed the maximum flash pulses the unit will

shut down and it forces you to wait while that tube cools down to protect

the electronics of the flash well that's it for the review of the go Duck 685

flash unit hope you found that useful if you're a new viewer first of all thanks

Coco - Film Review (Disney Pixar's latest film 2017) - Duration: 4:29.

oh stop it Pixar you keep making me cry just stop it

okay stop it hey guys so today I'm talking about the latest film from Pixar

which is called Coco I'm not sure why it's called Coco because the film is

centered around this little boy called Miguel and his great grandmother is

called Coco but she really doesn't have too much to do in the story but yeah she

gets top billing and I don't know why so the story is centered around Miguel

who's a 12 year old Mexican boy who's born into a family of shoemakers and in

his family music is banned because his great great grandmother was left by his

great great grandfather to pursue a career in music and when he left her and

broke her heart she blamed the music so this banishment of music tradition has

been passed down from generation to generation but that's a problem for

Miguel because he has such a passion and desire to play music and he's not bad

with a guitar either after he learns that his great-great-grandfather might

be his idol ernesto de la cruz he goes on this mission to this graveyard to

find his potential great-great-grandfather's guitar but

when he plays this guitar he ends up finding himself transported to the land

of the dead and it's here where he must embark on this mission to receive a

blessing from one of his ancestors in order to get back to the land of the

living and play music without any guilt and whilst Miguel's in the land of the

dead he meets this skeleton called Hector who he makes a deal with in

exchange for Hector getting him to Ernesto dela Cruz Miguel will put up a

picture of Hector on the anniversary of dia del muerto in order for Hector to

go across the celestial bridge back to the human world on the day of the dead

but Miguel has to hurry because the land of the dead is slowly turning him from

this into this whoa yep so it's a race against time for him to get back to the

land of the living before it becomes a skeleton permanently so what's to love

about this film guys? Well first of all the animation is immaculate okay

especially in the land of the dead the use of color is just so vibrant and it's

so amazingly detailed all Pixar films just keep getting better and better with

time and yeah Coco is just insanely beautiful the story is sweet and

emotional God the last ten minutes as well so many people in the audience was

sniffling and weeping yeah I was totally one of

them it's the ones that don't make me cried that I know are bad *cough* cars *cough* sorry and

I thought the concept of this film was very brave for Pixar to undertake

because death is a part of life and yeah it's always a sort of sensitive subject

that you have to teach kids but this film beautifully explores one coach's

belief and what the afterlife might be like and it's done so carefully and

sensitively but in such a beautiful way as well and it has a really good message

for kids that even when we lose our loved ones they may be gone but as long

as we remember them they're always with us and I definitely did learn some stuff

about dia del muerto are watching this film so what's negative about Coco even

though I did enjoy this film I didn't experience the same level of emotional

pathos as I did watching other Pixar films like Inside Out Toy Story 3 or Up

the characters in this film are likable but they're not quite memorable in the

grand scheme of Pixar characters I will probably remember Hector and Miguel when

I look back on this film if you asked me to name all the other names of the

characters in this film drawing a blank and comparatively the songs in this film

aren't on the same level as like say the songs from Moana or frozen they're just

kind of forgettable these songs which is ironic because the main song in this

film is called remember me I was entertained and I feel like I did learn a bit

more about Mexican culture but despite its positive message this film about

death and family traditions I still didn't feel as emotionally invested in

it as other Pixar movies for me this film felt more like a visual feast than

an emotionally engaging character journey that I went on with Miguel I did

enjoy watching him but I didn't feel as invested in him as I should have done

with other Pixar protagonists before like the Toy Story gang or Riley from

inside out or even dory in finding dory but I think most people will have a good

time watching Coco it's a really enjoyable ride and it has some good

messages about the afterlife and death and family traditions and values so I'm

gonna give Coco a 7 out of 10 so guys my quick question for today is a basic one

but quite a tough one what is your favorite Pixar film it's hard to pick a

favorite isn't it but yeah I'd love to know what your favorite is what you

think let me know in the comments section below

and thanks so much for watching guys for more things related to movies

TV and popcorn culture I'm Luke Hearfield and I'll see you next time

THE SHAPE OF WATER - Review [SUB ITA] - Duration: 5:02.

Hi guys it's Debbie and today I would like to speak about "The Shape of Water",

Guillermo del Toro's new film which is winning every award at every film

ceremony this year and which is a huge competitor at the Oscars with 13 nominations.

"The Shape of Water" follows the life of a janitor portrayed by Sally Hawkins, which

works at one of the United States's secret labs during the Cold War. At the

lab where Elisa works, scientists have been keeping captive a huge and

frightening creature, which displays both human and fish-like features. The

scientists treat the creature just like a monster, injuring it and carrying out

experiments on it. Nobody attempts to understand its nature

or try to nurture it. But one day Elisa stops to observe the creature and as she

can't speak she tries to communicate with it with sign language. The two soon

develop a curious and secret friendship, which was very dangerous because of the

background to the whole story.Bbut I will not reveal anything more to not spoil

the plot. Compared to other names at the Oscars such as "Three Billboards

outside Ebbing, Missouri", "Call me by your name", "Dunkirk", "The Florida

Project", "The Shape of Water" didn't stick with me just as much. But this is simply

because of my personal taste. I enjoyed "The Shape of Water", I just preferred

other films which have been released in the same period and which are in the

Oscar lists. I am completely aware that this is beautifully made and that it has

gained so much success and it is winning so many awards for a wide variety of

well thought and well created features. In first place we have examples of

exceptional acting: Sally Hawkins created good at heart Elisa who just wants

justice for the creature and who sees beyond his monstrosity, his physical

appearance. She argues that the creature understands her and welcomes her beyond

her lack of the ability to speak and she feels as if she has a special connection

with it. Elisa is more of an outsider, she is very humble and reserved, she's a

character which is strongly underestimated by everybody around her,

scorning her reserved attitude and treating her lack of the ability to

speak as a weakness. But she soon proves that she represents one of the strongest

roles. One of the characters that looks down upon Elisa is Colonel Strickland, the

lead figure in the experimentation and control of the creature. He was portrayed

by Michael Shannon which was absolutely incredible in his role. He was deranged, a

control freak, more of a monster than the creature itself and he was what brought

a horror component in the film. I still don't

understand why he wasn't nominated for Best Supporting Actor,

when Richard Jenkins was for a minor and less engaging role. Then we have

exceptional effects, with the creature obviously appearing as marvellous and out

of this world. Our mind develops that fantasy-loving effect of wanting

something like it to exist. But still in a somewhat real, physical manner. For

example his scales realistically start to fall off when he is weak, he

understands the rhythm of music, the concept of speech, the concept of

communicating, he has an idea of a deep connection or friendship. I think in

general the film has a very strong visual component, starting from the fact

that our main character doesn't communicate using her voice, so

everything else must heavily rely on the visual aspect, thus fuelling our awe

towards the creature, which Colonel Strickland describes as something the

communities on the Amazon worship as a god. Director Guillermo del Toro

explained that he has a fascination towards monster characters and horror

stories featuring them, such as Frankenstein, Godzilla and so on. And in "The

Shape of Water" we are definitely in awe in front of the creature. On the one hand

we afraid of it, on the other hand we love it, but the main feeling is

definitely fascination. This creature is like a god, we know nothing about it,

we are just taken back by its enigmatic beauty, its strength, its mystery. In

general "The Shape of Water" has a widespread variety of features which

will appeal to all audiences. We have the incredibly romantic story of friendship

and love, the horror aspect of the secret lab in the 60s keeping a creature hidden

like an alien or a monster, the heroic ideals of wanting to save

the creature, the fantasy aspect of it interacting with humans and so on. It's

nearly like a fantasy fairy tale, but for adults with all the violent components,

the sexual component, the constant reminder of an ongoing Cold War. For

certain aspects this film reminded me a little of "Arrival" by Denis Villeneuve, in

which when confronted to something different, unusual and uncommon the human

race immediately reacts with violence, a defensive mode. And this is

exactly what happens in "The Shape of Water".

Nobody even stops to question whether this creature has good intentions or bad

intentions, it's simply labeled as a monster, something dangerous, something

which must be contained or something which can be

implemented for destructive purposes. So when I say didn't like "The Shape of

Water" I don't mean that I don't recognise it as an exceptional

film, I'm just saying it's simply not my kind of film. I wouldn't pick it to watch

it again let's say. This film actually stimulated my curiosity to watch "Pan's

Labyrinth", another film by Guillermo del Toro. Let me know what you thought about

"The Shape of Water" with a comment here below. I hope you enjoyed this video, if you

did make sure to subscribe and I'll see you soon, bye!
