Simple Shading with Prismacolor Pencils - Altenew Release & Giveaway! - Duration: 6:32.
Hi it's Therese and I'm here with card that I'm gonna make for an Altenew
release today and I'm using a little stamp set I thought it'd be fun just to
see what I could do with this stamp set and the new inks, have you heard that
they've got new inks? I'm sure you have if you're hopping along because this is
actually a giveaway post but anyway I'll get more to that in a minute what I
decided to do was actually do one of my favorite techniques this is a solid
base stamp and I don't do this technique very often but I just love the look of
it so stamp out a solid base stamp especially a flower and use my
prismacolor pencils to add shading and depth so it's really easy technique to
do I'll walk you through it and with this stamp it's perfect oh and there's
matching dies so the inks I've used today they're all from the new sets they're
called the pink one was called pink pearl I'm still getting used to the
names pink pearl and this dark red here is called heart beat the green that I
used was called minty mint so really fun names and beautiful inks like this these
pink colors are almost.... even though they're called pinks they're actually
more peachy in the peachy tone so really pretty so what I've done is I've stamped
the solid image in the pink pearl color and now I've chosen it doesn't
matter what color you color it in you can color them whatever color you want
you can actually mix up the colors too to add different levels of shading but
for today's card I decided to use very similar shades so I've chosen two
prismacolor pencils that are very they're from the same color family as
the look of the pink pearl ink so a darker color and a medium color that's
almost the same as the ink colour, if that makes sense. so
what I'm doing is I'm adding a small amount of the darker color pencil I've
got them nice and sharp and I've used my tgaal sharpener
ever since I've got that I haven't had a problem with any LEDs breaking and that
includes leads on pencils that are half sharpened down because they've broken so
much I've come along with the and it's about TGAAL sharp now I've come
along with that on these broken pencils and it's worked it's amazing ok so at
the dark color and then shade out with the lighter color like I was thing the
thing that I don't like to do is actually come in and blend it with my
gamsol or odorless white mineral spirit I find that the I like the look of the
pencil on these and it and the wax pencil because it's such a soft lead it
actually blends itself out so if I've added the dark color and there are sort
of a few little lines that I'm not happy with by coming in and adding the color
that's nearly the same as the ink underneath it actually blends it out so
you can barely see those lines and I am using it's hard to tell in the video but
I am using a really light touch so these minty mint leaves I did I did actually
um come in only with one color pencil because I knew these are more of a
background feature they're not something that's a real it's just sort of like
filler, they are a filler leaf so I didn't worry too much about
shading those because you are only going to see the tips of them anyway the
sentiment today's come from one of the other new release sets which is called
crafty life and it does come with a couple of coordinating dies and I've
used my permanent black ink to stamp that out and
in the with sympathy floral set this mini stamp set that I've used for
the flowers and the leaves I did actually do about four leaves I think
in total, it has a coordinating die set as well I know a little mini set with a
coordinating die set isn't that cool so anyway I cut all of those out and I
didn't bother to actually shade my dark red flower because I wanted it to be
like a bold statement I know, very trendy! anyway
so I'm going to put my card together now I've got a top fold card
it's a white card base I've added a panel of spicy yogurt card stock that
I've popped up on some foam foam and now I'm just going to put my little bouquet
together I am using my tape runner and I'm using some foam dots so it's a
really simple card I just wanted to show you this really quick technique with
this beautiful new flower stamp from Altenew so don't forget that this is

I used seasoned cod roe so I'm going to wash it first.
Remove the seasoning and divided it in half to separate the skin and the eggs.
Chop the garlic.
Add salt in a big pot and add pasta when the water starts to boil.
Cook the noodles as you like.
Add some oil on pan and cook the garlic first.
When the garlic scent comes up, add pepperoncino.
Add pasta next and then add cod roe.
When it's too dry, please add the noodle water.
You can omit the seasoning process because you add cod roe and noodle water, but you can add some more salt!
I seasoned it with black pepper at the end.
I put the pasta in the bowl and decorated it with dried laver.
Cod roe pasta is a very simple dish!
I wanted to try this from the past and I got to do it this time!
It's salty and savory! It's quite different from oil pasta!
I recommend this to those of you who like simple pasta :)

bring you some great content if you're new to the channel
it's full of digital marketing tips ecommerce insights and really
step-by-step how-to content for any aspiring entrepreneur that wants to make
money online so if you're new to the channel go and hit that subscribe button
so you don't miss anything and with that being said we're just gonna jump right
in
alright guys and today we're talking about getting you more subscribers and
more followers by basically doing something that you already do and it's
very simplistic but I'm gonna go through the the nuances of why it can bring you
more followers and more subscribers and how you should actually go about
accomplishing this now basically to keep it simple we're gonna go through how to
get more subscribers if you're a potential content creator on YouTube and
then we'll go into the Instagram now this is relevant across the board if
you're on Facebook - and you're you know maybe doing a Facebook fan page or
something like that you can do this and bring this to the table on that platform
as well it's all relevant it just takes a little bit of you know manipulating
what you're actually doing on the platform so you'll know what I mean when
I get into it but here we are on YouTube and one thing
that I like to do on YouTube is I like to watch a you know a lot of other
content creators as well so one of the people that I watch in spades is Grant
Cardone because I love his approach to finance and I love what he brings to the
table you know what work ethic wise in the way that he talks about work ethic
and you know approaching problems and so I whenever I get a chance I watch his
content I watch other people's content but he's definitely somebody that I
watch a lot of and so what I would do if I wanted to you know essentially bring
more eyes to my channel and bring more you know subscribers and get more views
and so on and so forth and get more traffic to my channel is what I would do
is I would comment on his videos now I did an entire video on this and the
nuances of it and why this actually brings you more traffic and more
subscribers and then in turn on Instagram brings you more followers now
if you're interested in in you know why and basically an in-depth study on the
explanation then I'll drop a card in the right-hand corner right now and you can
go ahead and check that out but in that video specifically I just talked about
commenting on the videos more importantly and even a better way that
you can go about doing it is essentially and you'll see here that I literally
just commented about 18 minutes ago just to potentially get some eyes on my
content because people that are coming through and you'll notice that Grant
Cardone is really popular in this video got about eleven thousand views so far
but there's only 46 comments on and so for that reason I have you know
basically 50 and not 50% chances Bowl 2% chance roughly maybe a little bit more
of somebody seeing my comment so it's really really easy to get eyes that way
but even a better way that I suggest that you do and we all have time for
this is comment and respond to other people because you know that these
people are already targeted they're already interested in finance they're
already interested in marketing because that's what he does essentially and
therefore they're much more targeted and have the potentiality to be interested
in what I'm doing on my channel so then what I would do is I might go through
and respond to some of these people because what that will do is that will
send them at YouTube notification as soon as they go and log back into
YouTube that you know BG meeting innovation commented on their their
posts or reply to their post and so what they're going to do which is a method I
talked about a lot on Instagram is they're gonna come to my channel check
out VG media innovation and see what I'm all about and then potentially watch a
video potentially consumers of my content potentially subscribe and then
maybe potentially click a link and make a purchase or something along those
lines and that is basically the name of the game on YouTube so what I would do
here is you know for this one I might say completely agreed that's a bad
example because you want them to be thoughtful and you kind to kind of want
to you know go through the process and respond in a thoughtful way so that they
you know it doesn't just look like a stupid spam reply but that's the basic
you know methodology behind this and so what I would do here is I would say
something along this lines has actually watched the video and he made a he kind
of went through and said 38 billion when I was actually 3.8 and so what I would
say here is I might apply to this person and say caught that too and then what
that what's gonna happen is mo ugly or I can't say that name sorry obviously he's
not watching this but would potentially get that notification come to my channel
and then you know subscribe to me too and realize that I pop out a lot of the
same content content excuse me that Grant Cardone
does as well so then I might go through and I might reply to about five to ten
people and then just let it go and I wouldn't necessarily do this and make
this a full-time job but we all already watch YouTube videos I know that as a
fact you know obviously if you're watching my youtube channel you probably
consume other people's content as well you might be a content creator itself
and so it's important and you can do this on my channel too as well you know
reply to other people's comments and that will put more eyes onto your
channel because you're already on the video as well and you know we all have
probably the YouTube act just like when I'm about to get into Instagram we all
have the Instagram app and it's something that we're already doing as
well so if you have a little bit of free time here throughout the day
hop on YouTube on a video that you've already watched or one that you're
watching then and you know reply to a couple people it gives you more
opportunity to get seen get known and more subscribers it's really that simple
but I don't see a lot of people doing it so now we're going to move over to
Instagram and I pulled up his Instagram page - same thing same idea with
Instagram basically you're just going to reply to people on the posts and what
that will do is it will send them a specific notification that someone so
reply to you so you're getting that little Arab basically or that little
herro that little red notification up in the right-hand corner almost people's
Instagram that will essentially draw attention to your page and give them the
potentiality to come to you and you know basically either follow you you know
engage with one of your posts potentially or maybe click your bio and
can go to your YouTube page and I've heard you know with my specific example
here but maybe you're selling something there's a bunch of different things that
you can be doing with your bio link but that's the general idea behind it so
what I would do like I said is that comfortable on those posts and I might
respond you know to a couple different people maybe five to ten an hour you
definitely with with YouTube you can get away with a little bit more with
Instagram you want to be a little bit careful with the type of comments that
you're gonna go through and them basically the that's the word I'm
looking for the amount per essentially the frequency that's the
word so that's just an idea I just wanted to bring you a different idea
today on how you can basically take action to get more eyes on your content
get more followers on you on Instagram excuse me get more subscribers on
YouTube and you know potentially if you're on another platform that you
could basically draw this same conclusion with like a Facebook fan page
for instance it's also relevant on that platform too so hope you guys like the
content I hope you like the idea it's very very simple but like I said it's
effective so I suggest that you go ahead and try it drop a comment down below in

hi friends today I'm going to show you an easy Prawns Pulao recipe usually in
any pulao a biryani making it a fluffy is very common but keeping in mind our
little ones and also the olders in our families have tried to make a different
version a bit stickier one and which stay is equally good hope you like it
let's look at the ingredients I have taken here about 15 to 20 medium-sized
shrimps and have devein and clean them 1 medium onion chopped 1/2 a tomato or
you can take 1/4 of a big tomato 2 teaspoons of ginger and garlic paste I
have used her organic pearl rice you can use any rice so if you want to make it
fluffy use basmati but this is the brand that I have used check the description
box for the link as to where you can buy it
1/8 cup of coconut powder some water teaspoon of red chilli powder 2
teaspoons of garam masala powder 1 teaspoon of healthy salt to taste and I
have used some dry fruits since my kids love the raisins and cashew so you can
use any but the raisins go really well cooking oil
clarified butter or ghee and some coconut oil let's get going put the
flame to high and I'm gonna use a pressure cooker to make this rice add
about two teaspoons of oil to the pressure cooker along with that add
about 1 TSP of clarified butter let both of them kind of mix together and the key
melts just turn it around like this add the chopped onions sauteed them well
as always add some salt to speed up the process of frying the onions fry for
about minute or two and they will turn translucent just like these once they do
so add the dry fruits you
notice that we have not used too much fat so with the fat left in the point we
want to make sure that the dry fruits get fried nicely now they look good and
done so this is when we'll add the teaspoon of coconut oil the coconut oil
we've used is mainly for flavor and we are not necessarily looking to cook with
the coconut oil now add the ginger and garlic paste
again sautee it and cry it for some time so that the raw flavors go away let's
start adding the spices add turmeric red chilli powder garam masala powder and
fry well sautee like this for about a minute or so let's go ahead and add our
shrimps mix them well and coat all the masala with the shrimps scrape it from
the bottom and you know take off everything and coat those shrimps well
this will take about 30 seconds or so now turn the flame to low and cook the
shrimps for about 2 to 3 minutes
while those shrimps cook I'm gonna make a coconut milk and this is how I'm doing
it just adding the coconut powder to the water and stirring it and there you go
have the coconut milk if you can have a fresh version even better now add the
washed rice to the shrimp mixture and toss it well mix them really well this
should take less than a minute now turn the flame pad to medium and let it cook
for another 2 to 3 minutes give it a mix in between now add the chopped tomato
again mix the tomato with the rice and shrimp mixture now add the coconut milk
for the 1/2 cup of rice I have used cup and half of coconut milk
give it a good mix you can smell the nice flavors coming from the pot now add
all the remaining salt again mix it well
overall this recipe takes less than 30 minutes or so from beginning to end as
long as you have all the ingredients so if you want to eat something non-veg you
know try it out now let it come to a boil which will take about 3 to 4
minutes and then again mix it once the mixture comes to a boil put the lid on
now turn the flame to medium-low and cook it for 2 whistles the two whistles
will approximately take anywhere from 8 to 10 minutes switch off the flame and
let it cool down now the pressure cooker has cooled down let's make sure that all
the pressure is gone and open it wow it looks so amazing with red yellow and
those shrimps let's garnish it with some coriander leaves
now let's check the consistency of the rice you do notice that it has become
little sticky exactly the consistency that I was looking for
so let's serve it in a plate add some clarified butter and it will taste so

Hi friends.
Parents worry endlessly about how to protect their children from stranger abduction and
violence, but many overlook one of the biggest threats to their children's safety and well-being
— their own home.
A child is more prone to injuries and mishaps; and sometimes serious ones at home because
they do not understand the risks and this is their age to explore.
If you are a working mom and do not live in a joint family, the chances of leaving the
child unattended and hence something like this happening is even more.
So, let's today identify places in the house which could be possibly high-risk zones for
children and try to minimize the risk for our loved ones.
Let's start with the bedroom or child's room where the kid spends most of the time.
First and formost thing is to make sure that there are no sharp objects in the room like
scissors or nail clippers.
Don't leave tool boxes or heavy objects unattended with the child.
There should be no vases or glass objects in the rooms because when they break the glass
might spread across the rooms.
The small fragments of broken glass cant be seen at that time and they can be harmful
for kids later on.
Kids have a habit of pickig things from unseen and unreached places so make sure that wherever
the kid spends most of his or her time, it is clean and clutter free.
The next thing to do is to keep all the medicines out of reach of children.
You can keep them on the top shelf of your wardrobe; I would recommend having a medicine
box.
Rather have two medicine boxes; one for the kid exclusively and the other one where you
keep all your medicine.
Keep all the liquids like sanitizers, liquid detergents and cleaners away from the reach
of children.
Keep napathelene balls etc away from their reach
If you have infants in ur house keep heavy blankets away from them as they might get
wrapped and would not be able to free themselves.
When kids are sleeping keep all the sides covered with pillows so that they are safe
and don't fall from the bed when they turn around.
There should be no paper or eatables around on the bed when the chlid is asleep.
If u have a dressing table in your bedroom, keep it clean and remove all the jewellery,
sprays & other cosmetics locked in a drawer not reachable to ur child.
Keep ties, cloth hairbands and dupattas locked in your wardrobe and away from the child.
Lets go to the kitchen now.
Keep your knives and scissors away on shelf where the kids can not reach.I have mine on
a magnetic strip which is not accessible to my daughter.
Kids have a habit to go to the kitchen and throw all the stuff in their reach.
Be it the shelf or cupbord; they just throw it out.
So,keep all the crockery stacked to top shelfs..in the lower drawers keep only plastic and lighter
utensils which is of no harm.
Heavy things which they pick and can drop on them should be out of their reach..
Next comes the refriferator…yes the fridge..my daughter has developed this lovely and annoying
habit of opening it again and again and leaving it just like that…and the fridge I have
is quite old and has no locks,,..
So I ordered these clips from the amazon which is a wonderful lock for the fridge and the
freezer I aso locked a few drawers with this..so that
she doesn't jump on that…yeah kids are tha freaks..
When deep frying don't let kids come near u in the kitchen…it can be harmful for both
of u …after frying remove oil from gas and keep it away from childs reach…same goes
for hot water
Another important thing is the furniture.
When u get married u buy furniture that is appealing to eyes…and you have not planned
your kids yet.
So, they are not child proof…for eg the glass center table and the dining table..they
have all those sharp corners..So for the glass table I had to purchase this BELT that would
run around the glass table to cover the glass and the sharp corners..its a must coz when
running, kids wont look here and there and u cant stop kids from doing that
Then comes the sharp edges of the table for which I have ordered kids safety corner edge
cushioned guards..which is of rubber to prevent painful bumps
The other most important thing is to protect children from sockets for which there are
child proofing electrical socket covers …it restricts children from inserting their fingers
or any other object like pen pencil or nails in the electrical socket….and they are not
costly at all …now available at 179 for 5 on Amazon
Twice it happened to me that I shifted my house…and my daughter locked herself in
the room…and worse that could happen to me …I didn't had the keys of the rooms…so
to avoid that kind of situation I have now door stoppers….these door stoppers prvent
doors and windows from slamming shut and hurting the babys fingers or even locking the room…they
are made from soft materal and can be used in any kind of doors or windows…they are
now available at price of 250 for 5
Now come to the toys if ur child is less than 5 years…don't buy toys that are too small
that baby can take in mouth…avoid toys with small nuts and screws..do not leave small
buttons coins candles near them to avoid choking Keep away from the electrical gadgets like
iron hair dryers and hair straighteners…use them and put them back to their place when
finished with the job…
Friends kids don't really know what they are into..and can really harm themselves..so
as parent we have to be very alert and keep everything in mind to avoid any situations.
The best care and proofing can be done by the alertness of the parents ony; so take
care of children and take care of yourselves.
