This hotel is a house with a tremendous integrity

Arne Jacobsen designed the interior of the hotel

completely different from the building's exterior.

He practically designed everything for the hotel.

I think Arne Jacobsen intentionally worked

with the sculptural curves.

He worked with the contrasts

of this extremely rigorously designed hotel.

The iconic pieces of furniture Arne Jacobsen

created specifically for the hotel

Fritz Hansen are still producing today

Arne Jacobsen first designed the Swan™ chair,

then following up with the Egg™.

Afterwards he designed the Drop™

and the Pot™ chairs as the last two members of his family of furniture.

The Pot™ is a small lounge chair.

It has a beautiful floating expression.

Republic of Fritz Hansen is now reintroducing the chair with new materials

in leather and textile in the same classical design as back then.

To me, the Pot™ is a unique piece of furniture by Arne Jacobsen

The chair tells the story of this very hotel

with it's simplicity and openness, like that of the hotel.

We're extremely proud of it.

A great part of the Republic of Fritz Hansen's DNA is grounded in this building

I'm especially proud of the reintroduction of the Pot™ chair

which, to me, is a forgotten jewel in the collection

of Arne Jacobsen, created for this hotel

It's a huge place.

There is a staircase here

Is there a Staircase to go below? Yes...

This is a basement and there is lot water.

There is a small frog in there.

Oh my God! This basement is filled with lots of water.

The water has filled this room and its quite occupied the basement.

Guys, we can't explore this basement

because the basement is filled with water & trash.

It's too cold out here.

There designed and wanted to make a beautiful place.

This is very creepy.

Don't know why but it's freezing man.

So basically this is an under construction

Rooms.

I Guess the front room is also similar.

There is a Bat.

Guys there are no more rooms here so we will continue exploring this passage.

This place is getting a lot smaller by size as we are proceeding ahead.

Check this AC Vents.

Looks like this is a part of ventilation channel.

No clue why the ventilation is down here.

So let's explore this side of the hotel.

This looks like a dance floor.

Correct.

They were constructing a bar here.

Looks like they were building a disco.

Ohhhh!!!

Tables and chairs are just broken.

They are just lying here.

It's too huge and this place is messy.

Entire ceiling is collapsed.

The rooms out here are quite different than the other ones.

Check this out. The interiors are quite different.

This is a galleria area of this room.

Wow!!

It would have been a beautiful and 4 star property if it would have been constructed.

This looks like a big hall area.

They have made sit outs here.

we have to go two floors down.

More two floors down? I guess we are already two floors down.

Update from the Mount Royal Hotel - Duration: 1:04.

Construction is moving on really well what has happened is we have the new roof on

we've

completely re-floored and re-decked and re-drywalled and ran all new electrical in the entire building.

So, they're working on the finish of the product. We're all geared up for an exciting open on July 1st.

One of the the more exciting things that's going to capture an awful lot of press is

this rooftop hot tub as well as a rooftop lounge, and that is going to be absolutely the most

amazing way to enjoy the end of your day after experiencing this beautiful mountain national park.

There's been an awful lot of excitement and energy around the hotel reopening. It is starting to book up.

This is going to be the place everybody's gonna want to be.

It will be one of those iconic places to stay - you can stay at the Mount Royal in the heart of Banff.
