I've always been drawn to the nontraditional path.

I was never the girl that envisioned her wedding and her dress.

Even though marriage was never important to me, I always imagined having children.

On my 38th birthday, I was single and I had this realization that I was getting close

to 40 and I didn't have a child yet and that I had to take matters into my own hands

and make it happen.

Before becoming a mom I wasn't paying much attention to my spending.

Travel, exercising, shopping, going out to eat.

In order to financially prepare myself, I started paying more attention to my spending

and I learned what I needed to cut back on.

I was traveling less, I was eating in more.

I went through the process of IUI, which is intrauterine insemination.

Buying sperm is very surreal.

You get to choose specific characteristics.

Eye color, hair color, height.

The price is varied based on the popularity.

Seriously.

So sperm is about $700 a vial.

I bought seven vials.

I can't believe I'm having this conversation with everyone here.

Okay.

I had to do several rounds and there's medication involved.

Doctor's bills, hormone injections.

The whole works.

It cost me about $10,000 to get pregnant.

Being an entrepreneur and a business owner, I wasn't in the position where I could take

a real maternity leave.

I was obsessed with boutique fitness.

I stumbled upon this machine in L.A. and then I created a business based around that machine,

and that is SLT.

Right from the start, I really needed full time help.

A lot of people I know have their moms come and stay with them and be their baby

nurse for the first two weeks.

That wasn't something that I had an option to have.

Both my parents passed away when I was in my 20's, so I had to prioritize getting

help from a nanny and a baby nurse.

Child care was the area that I felt like I couldn't budget or save on.

So I had to save in other areas.

My daughter wears a lot of hand me downs.

I think I've only bought Flynn like five pieces of clothing in two years.

My other big expense was going to be moving.

I lived in a one bedroom apartment and I knew I needed at least two bedrooms to accommodate

for a baby.

I doubled my rent.

I looked for places that allowed me to walk to work so I could first of all, save on the

cost of traveling, and second of all, having my office within walking distance of my apartment

allowed me to run home to breastfeed or pump and run to doctors appointments with my daughter,

or be home for a play date and then run back to work.

Even though rent became a big expense, I thought very strategically about it.

Being a single mom doesn't close you off forever to the possibility to getting married

or not being a single mom.

What happened for me is, after having Flynn I reconnected with an ex boyfriend, and when

Flynn was two, I had another baby

and Archer is two months old.

Flynn is a proud big sister.

Well I didn't plan to take the nontraditional path when it came to my family,

it definitely suits me.

I think people tend to focus on the emotional aspect of having a baby more than the financial

aspect when they're both equally as important.

Figure out the things that you're unwilling to give up, and then the other things are

going to be areas of your life that you're going to have to be flexible on.

Michael and I aren't married.

When it comes to my daughter, it's 100% my responsibility, and when it comes to my son,

we budget and coordinate and split everything 50-50.

And now thanks to Archer, we have to move again.

Though Shannon accused David Beador of hiding money during their divorce , it was rumored

that he was going to have to pay through the nose in spousal support.

A new, much more official report says that the amount ended up being less than initially

reported.

Still, it looks like plenty for Shannon and for her daughters.

But even that payment reduction hasn't prevented David from allegedly retaliating in petty

ways that impact his own children.

Things looked bad for the Beadors for a while -- from David's affair a few years ago to

his intensely  negative response to Shannon's minor weight gain .

It was only in late 2017 that they actually took the steps to dissolve their union.

Shannon filed for divorce , because she and David had been living separate lives anyway.

But they've been married for a long time, and they share three teenage daughters -- Sophie,

Adeline, and Stella.

Even while the divorce is ongoing, David is legally obligated to make both spousal support

payments and child support payments.

So ... how much is Shannon getting right now?

Previously, RadarOnline had reported that Shannon Beador's child and  spousal support

came in the amount of $30,000 per month.

That was $12,000 a month in child support, and $18,000 per month in spousal support,

based upon the time that the girls spend with each parent and upon how much both parents

make.

That is a lot of money, and we don't just mean to those of us who are mere mortals.

Even among the wealthiest Americans, paying this amount in support every month is definitely

on the high side.

David certainly thought that the amount was high, as he was reportedly furious over it.

But it looks like, as is so often the case during a contentious divorce, the winds have

shifted.

People reports that David now has to pay "only" $22,500 each month.

That is a tremendous amount of money in spousal and child support, but not at the level of

$30,000.

This is a temporary payment order to ensure that Shannon and her daughters (of whom she

has joint physical and legal custody) continue to live their lives until the divorce is finalized.

(It is not uncommon for the primary breadwinner in an acrimonious divorce to attempt to financially

starve their soon-to-be-ex so that they cannot afford to hire a good attorney and may agree

to any settlement just to receive regular payments)

David was reportedly spewing profanities at Shannon after court, which is ... not a great

look.

Shaking with anger, he reportedly declared that the ruling would bankrupt his business.

If you believe Shannon's claim that he's hiding money in order to lower the amount that he's

required to pay, then you might guess that this is all smoke and mirrors.

We mentioned earlier that he had seemed determined to retaliate.

When the court ruled that Shannon would be responsible for all of her expenses from that

point forward, David reportedly shut off the water at her home.

Which, yes, means that he (allegedly) shut off the water at the house where his daughters

are living.

Which is just gross.

He has not commented on this allegation.

Shannon, however, refuses to openly condemn him.

"As David and I continue our divorce proceedings," she say.

"I'm doing everything I can to move things efficiently along so that our three children

are not subjected to unnecessary stress during an already difficult time."

Shannon continues, choosing her words very carefully in a way that won't be turned against

her in court.

Smart woman.

"I want to be as fair as possible.

I remain focused on a clean resolution and have no interest in engaging in a war of words."

Some might ask why David would be so furious over paying for his daughters, or how anyone

could be so petty as to (allegedly!) turn off the water at the home where his own children

live.

To add to that, we've heard that David believes that Shannon is keeping his kids from him

by badmouthing him.

Insiders, however, say that his children know that he cheated on their mother and have witnessed

his behavior over the past couple of years, and that any resentments that they have towards

their father is of his own making.

Is this kind of spiteful move over a water bill his idea of winning over his daughters?

It's hard to believe that he's written them off as "enemies."

We just don't know.

It's fair to say that there's nothing subtle about Hublot's Big Bang watches and the same

can similarly be said about the Wear OS version.

It's big, brash and definitely more focused towards male, football fans.

This isn't one for daintier wrists.

While it dominates on the wrist, there's no doubting that there's luxury materials on

show here.

From the titanium satin bezel to the titanium crown, it's a well made watch first and foremost.

The 49mm watch is surprisingly light to wear as well despite its hulking frame and while

it's almost 14mm thick and packing in GPS, it feels surprisingly slender too.

There's no heart rate sensor around the back either so that no doubt helped keep the profile

down.

One thing you don't have to worry about is screen quality.

There's a 400 x 400 AMOLED display at the heart of that metal frame and it's up with

there with the best.

It's bright, crisp, vibrant and there's no signs of lag when you're swiping through the

screens.

There's definitely superior touchscreen displays out there, but this is one of the better ones

we've seen crop up on a luxury smartwatch.

The other big design aspect of the Big Bang Referee is the watch bands.

There's two kinds available.

The first is a rubber cuff strap that gives the watch a sporty look.

It's a bit on the basic side, but it will no doubt be the more durable option.

The bands use the same kind of one click mechanism to change straps and you'll probably want

to change things up when you see what the other band option is.

Hublot is also offering a soft leather strap that is themed to tie in with all 32 nations

competing at the World Cup finals.

We obviously had to try out the England one and it actually wasn't as tacky as we anticipated

it would be.

The Brazil one was definitely a fave.

Learning to use the vocabulary in an AAC system is much like learning new language

It is very hard to learn it when you are the only one speaking it

So when you as the support person model the use of AAC

You are communicating in the same language that you are encouraging the AAC user to use

Hearing and seeing how the new language is spoken is one of the best ways to support its learning

Modeling is simply teaching by example

Support persons speaking with an AAC system provides a model of how to use that system

But it also levels the playing field when both of you are speaking in the same voice

you will gain much humility for the time it takes to find what you want to say and

Your AAC as a partner will get to enjoy watching patiently while you try to find the words that you want

How much language do I model?

Think about how you would naturally model for a child or someone learning language for the first time

if they handed you a book and

said or signed book

You would probably say Oh

Read a book

You modeled just a little bit more, but you were using your verbal speech

People with complex communication needs can't repeat back your verbal model

So instead try modeling a little bit more than what they give you

But model something that can do

like using the communication device

We call this type of modeling aided language input

But just remember to take what they give you and just add one or two
