FRENCH HOTELS BE LIKE | Dave Lee - Duration: 8:08.
I
Was totally wrong about the food in France this is amazing
I don't even know what this thing is it's some sort of uh. What is it? Just like a dried?
It's like a salted dried sausage. It was about four dollars for this massive piece of it as so four
euros four euros and
Then you just like bite it off like just literally bite it off
And then you have like this cheese and also be messy now because we've been eating it all night
this is last night's dinner and breakfast, and then you have like a cross on and
Like
Just like use a knife. This is a plate and a knife that we stole from the kitchen
And then you just put it all together. It's like oh
My god like this
This cheese is like five times more expensive in Australia
Cheese is so cheap in
In France it is just I was wrong the first 24 hours. I was like Singapore's food's better, but
It is a bit of a changeup. You know to go from
Noodles and rice and that's really what we eat in Australia. We don't really have
European food in Australia, I've got to say but
this on a bed just like
French style in a dodgy hotel
Yeah, I was starting to like it when I first when I first was here, I was like dirty old
Thousand-year-old hotel. I hate it look at the heat off
You know this
You can only just get a little bit of heat out of this thing. I was like
Just play socks, but it grows on you after a while you look out the window
I'm like you know they got bikes. Thank god
It's cold out there
All these old style buildings, but I was looking at that. I was just thinking you know like something model
I don't like old stuff, but
Like
The the dirty old style grows on you after a while
If you're looking here. Oh, we got some oranges in there. Sorry that's Catherine so
what is
Now this is
I'm assuming where you do a poo
Like they do have a lot in common with the Chinese I have to admit they I
Found some Chinese style toilets here in France and this thing here. This is the
Shade for mm. So it's like 20 years old
I don't think they've I don't think anything has changed in Europe in 20 years, and there's like holes
I
Get in the elevator I
Got in the elevator
And I got stuck in the elevator when went halfway between and opened and I was literally stuck in it
And I didn't have the I should have filmed it damn it. It would have been awesome footage
We were roof
Yeah, bit of sticky tape we'll just stick the roof back together. There's marks all over the walls, it's
It's old and it's crappy, but I guess like if you're in Asia in Australia
Everything's kind of new and so I get used to new stuff but Oh
in the linen the linen, so
This but I went down and spoke to the the French concierge I was like
What the hell is this pillow? It's like 30 units
yeah, it's yellow, and there's another one there and
Can you see our pets like we have a pet fly? Where is he theories?
We have a resident pips why?
Hello
There yes, can you see him can you kind of see that there there? I don't know
We have a pet fly his name is Pierre
And
There's the dodgy elevator
That's full old school Here I am the first night, I went for a walk down the bottom, and there's like a dungeon
That's where you eat in this dungeon
Play like a thousand year old dungeon
And first 24 hours I hated it, but I'm growing on me. I like France now
It's old
It's cold
It's rundown. It's got a lot of history I
bet
If you think about it this hotel is
Probably full of ghosts there's probably like
Thousands of people have died in this hotel someone's probably died in this hotel room
It's so old there's probably been some like ancient Roman like
Massacre or something you know yeah a very long time ago
Yeah
In the middle of the night, there's people screaming outside. It's freezing cold, and they'll be like 1 2 3 a.m.
even on a Monday night
You see people screaming outside I
Don't know what goes on there. What is that?
Pitons
Priority I'm assuming that priority is that direction?
It's tough if you don't speak English if they do if it's tough if you don't speak French here, I mean
Oh, and if you just go over there and start speaking English to the French they hate it
I noticed that first up when I got here, so what you got to do is you've got to start with bonds you
You're gonna speak some you're gonna speak some French you can at least try and then they will treat you with respect
But if you just come out with English
I'm assuming the reason why they they
speak they I'm assuming the reason why they get a little bit annoyed when you just come out and speak English is because
English has dominated Europe
And England and France had like a hundred year war so they kind of like been enemies like
Cultural enemies for a very long time. I think they they have a really good relationship right now
But still they want to protect their culture and their language here in France so if you just come out and you're just trying to
Push English on them they hate that
and I can understand why they would want to try and protect their own language because you know if
You you're in their country respect their country so therefore try to speak their language
That's what you gotta do you've got to respect people in their own country of course and here
when I first walked in here I could smell smoke, so someone was sitting in the bed probably smoking they didn't clean ah
Yeah
France I was starting to learn what France is all about it's like you have a look out here. There's like
No, it's it's cold leather jackets. They're walking in the cold out there
Mmm
So I'm going to meet a French friend near the Eiffel Tower
Yeah
Yeah

Inside the Stanley Hotel and Room 217 - Paranormal Investigation and Spirit Box Communication - Duration: 9:47.
hi there welcome to room 217 of the Stanley Hotel I'm staying here tonight
I'm going to do a paranormal investigation I'm also going to give you
a quick tour of the Stanley first and go over its haunted history
the Stanley Hotel was opened in 1909 built by Freelan Oscar Stanley its
location at the foot of Colorado's Rocky Mountains was chosen strategically
to assist mr. Stanley with his tuberculosis with fresh air being the
main form of treatment at the time the Stanley Hotels bold architecture is
striking against a scenic backdrop and has attracted many upper-class
vacationers for over 100 years today it is best known for being the
inspiration for Stephen King's bestseller horror novel The Shining and
for being one of the world's most haunted places there are many ghost
stories that exist within the Stanley Hotel it is home to multiple spirits and
is an extremely active site for paranormal activity
Freelan Oscar Stanley and his wife flora supposedly haunt the hotel they
built Freelan continues to look after the property's operations being seen all
throughout the hotel and flora is apparently responsible for unexplainable
piano music coming from the music room and concert hall the concert hall is
said to be the most haunted building on the Stanley Hotel property it is haunted
by several spirits including a former groundsman named Paul and a homeless
woman rumored to have frozen to death named Lucy multiple children's spirits
also haunt the premises the basement of the concert hall contains a haunted
mirror with mysterious origins many who have taken photographs of their
reflections in the mirror have picked up images of spirits standing next to them
the fourth floor of the stanley hotel is rumored to be extremely haunted the
ghosts of children continue to play in this area and can be heard running and
giggling down the corridors room 401 is supposedly haunted by former land owner
Lord Dunraven and features a closet that opens and closes on its own accord room
428 is also a paranormal hotspot having furniture which moves around by itself
and the ghost of a cowboy who watches you sleeping from the foot of the bed
the grand staircase located in the main lobby of the stanley hotel is another
paranormal hotspot multiple people have picked up apparitions of women
descending the staircase dressed in old-time clothing in their photographs
the Stanley Hotel is built on top of an underground tunnel system which former
staff members used to navigate the property it is rumored that some of
these workers continued to haunt this area with the chef being responsible for
smells of phantom home-cooked meals filling the area a grey ghost cat with
glowing green eyes has also been spotted in the tunnel I attempted to communicate
with any spirits who may have remained within the tunnel area via a spirit box
session I did not receive any intelligent responses
room 217 is the hotels most requested and most famous room it is where famed
horror author Stephen King spent a night which resulted in his inspiration for
writing The Shining King and his wife arrived at the stanley Hotel in 1974
they were placed in room 217 and were the only guests to spend the night at
the hotel as it was about to close down for the season
during his stay King had a nightmare that his young son was strangled to
death by a firehose in the hotel he woke in fright got up to have a cigarette
and by the time he had finished he had the storyline for his novel The Shining
fleshed out in his head
room 217 is also haunted by the spirit of Elizabeth Wilson a former maid at the
hotel in 1911 she entered the room to investigate why the gas lighting had
been extinguished only to trigger an explosion from the candle flame she held
her body was thrown through the floor of the room to the level below she survived
the explosion with a broken ankle and went on to live a long life many believe
she has returned to her former workplace in death and may be responsible for the
high instances of paranormal activity inside room 217 I attempted to make
contact with Elizabeth or any other spirits which may reside within room 217
hi guys we are currently sitting in room 217 of the Stanley Hotel which is said

Top 10 Scary Hotel Stories - Duration: 10:19.
Welcome back everyone to Most Amazing Top 10 - my name is Danny Burke - back with another
scary video for you - this one is about hotels.
I imagine that when you guys go to sleep at night you feel safe being in your own home
- its a familiar surround.
What about hotels though?
Do you still feel the same?
Most of the time theres absolutely nothing to worry about - but then you hear stories
like this - and it kinda makes you think twice.
Lets see what you make of the Top 10 Scary Hotel Stories.
Coming in at number 10 we have The Shadow Men.
This one comes from Reddit user Mythrin.
He said he used to work in his Aunt and Uncles hotel in a Scottish Village.
One night, while sleeping in the staff quarters, he was woken up from a loud banging noise
in the corridor.
He angrily got up, ready to tell people to shut up so he could sleep - but the corridor
was empty.
THe walked to the end of the corridor to see if there was anyone coming up the stairs from
below and thats when he saw it.
He said a figure was stomping up the stairs - he said it looked like a shadow person but
solid.
There were no features on the face or clothes on its body - it looked like someone wearing
a black morph suit if you could see through them.
He ran back to his room and could hear the banging for hours.
The next morning, nobody else said they heard anything and he kept the secret of the Shadow
Man to himself …
Moving on to number 9 we have Childrens Clothes.
This ones comes from reddit user Loco Mojo.
They said that one night when they were wroking at a hotel, a man came down to the lobby area
and began wandering around.
He was acting very strange.
He was talking to himself as he sat down at a breakfast table before standing up and switching
chairs at the table every few minutes.
When they asked if he needed help he would jerk a bit and mumble that he didnt need anything.
After a few hours of this he went to his room but then returned to say he had turned the
heater on which had left him short of breath and he needed an abuilance.
Then, the fire alarms went off.
When the fire crew came back down from the room they kept asking if the man was alone
- they said yes.
After the fire crew left, they went to go and look in the mans room.
The sight shocked them - he had rearranged all of the furniture, put the TV in the bathroom
and had but his trash can in the middle of the room and set it on fire.
Perhaps the most disturbing thing of all was that even though he was alone, there were
small childrens clothes spread all over the room …
Coming in at number 8 we have The Elevator.
This is a short but scary one that I think everyone can appreciate.
It comes from Reddit user TheDinomanShow.
They said that one night they visited a hotel and needed to use the elevator.
They got in, went up to the 4th floor and the doors opened.
There stood a group of people waiting for the elevator but they made no attempt to get
in even though he was the only one in there.
After a few seconds, the automatic doors closed and just before they closed, when there was
only a slight crack left, he heard one of the people outside say -Why is the lift so
full of people?- … thats the point where Id start mashing the open doors button.
At number 7 we have the Woman In Grey.
This one comes from Reddit user Army Of Wombles.
He said that once he worked as a waiter in an old hotel in Scotland.
They were expected special guests - two old women who were friends of owner although as
a fairly new waiter he hadnt met them before.
Another waiter mentioned they had arrived and told him him to go and put some win in
their room as they were being helped out of the car.
So, they picked a bottle, opened it, got two glasses and a tray and went over to the room.
On the way, he heard some shuffling.
Hed been told the stories about how the place was haunted by the ghost of a woman in grey
who had hung herself.
Then, as he turned the corner, right in front of him - he saw a woman, in old clothes, walking
away from him - with no head.
What.
It turns out that it was actually one of the old women who was arriving as a guest - she
had osteoporosis which caused her head to be below her shoulders - still a terrifying
sight nonetheless.
Coming in at number 6 we have The Footprints.
This one is really mysterious - it comes from Reddit user Fluxywild.
They said they worked in a motel when they were 17 or 18 - they were front desk but was
asked by the housekeeping guy to come and check something out in a room that was being
cleaned.
He got up there to see the housekeeping guy standing in the middle of the room just pointing
up at the ceiling.
There was a set of bare foot prints on the ceiling which was at least 10 ft high.
Not a shoe print, a bare footprint.
It was only in the middle of the ceiling too.
They figured there was no way someone could jump 10 ft upside down.
There was also a single bullet left on the bed.
Whats going on with that story?
Do we even want to know ... Moving on to number 5 now we have The Cold
Bathroom.
This one comes from Reddit user Scumbag760 - nice name.
He used to work in security at a hotel in California.
Every night he got a sheet showing which rooms were empty.
It was his job to go through all the rooms and make sure the lights were off and the
windows secure.
One night he went into a room and found all the lights on - he began to turn them off
and after turning the bathroom light off, he noticed the room was freezing cold.
He reached into the bathroom to turn the thermostat up when suddenly the door just slammed.
He ran out of the room and tried to close the door behind him but the deadbolt pushed
itself out of the lock and slammed into the door frame.
When he came back, the door was shut.
He moved it around to see if it would close but it wouldnt - he even tried slamming the
door himself but it was too light weight to even shut because it caught a lot of air.
He said that was the last night he went into that room.
At number 4 we have The Dragging.
This one comes from Reddit User Blue Pig.
He was staying on a hotel one night while travelling for work - it was one he had used
quite a lot.
Nothing strange had ever happened.
One day, he crashed into bed exhausted and tried to get some sleep as he had to be up
early in the morning.
He couldnt sleep though - there was this, noise - a constant, shuffling noise from above.
It sounded like someone was dragging a table or chair across the floor - almost as if they
were rearranging it.
This continued almost constantly for 2 hours - he called front desk to complain - they
sent someone to the remove above to check but there was nobody there - the room was
empty.
When he tried to get back to sleep, the noise just started again … how creepy is that,
anyone got a good theory?
Coming in at number 3 we have The Partier.
This one come froms Reddit where a guy said he used to work front desk at a Marrior hotel.
One night during the winter season the whole hotel was booked out by high schools who were
going on ski trips to nearby resorts.
It was party central - it was chaos.
He said people would ride furniture down the water slide, punch holes in the walls to connect
their rooms and cut open their mattress' to hide drugs and alcohol.
One night, a male student overdosed and was found in the hallway.
He was unconscious on the floor when the paramedics arrived - he had no pulse and had to be defibrillated
to be brought back to life.
He was taken to the hospital for a few hours but was somehow allowed to leave and returned
to the party where he shouted -Whos Ready For Shots- and continued to party.
He literally died and then return to the party.
Thats - I mean - what?
Next up at number 2 we have The Clone.
This one comes from Reddit User Infinity Girl.
She told a story about her friends she refers to as E and M. Im gonna call them Ellen and
Mary.
Ellen was her college roommate who worked as the night manager for a newly built hotel.
She brought Ellen coffee one night like normal but found her sitting at the front desk shaking
her head in confusion.
Ellen said she had just checked in what could only be described as the doppelganger of their
other roomate, Mary.
Ellen said she was exactly like Mary and that she tried to show her a picture of Mary on
her phone but she wasnt interested.
They put it down to coincidence and drink their coffee.
At 2 AM, she decided to leave Ellen and go home.
At 2:30 AM she pulled into a garage and looked at her phone to see a series of texts from
Ellen to her and Mary at 2:17 saying -Stop.
Not Funny.
You guys suck.
What the hell- … she was confused so she called her back.
Ellen sounded hysterical on the phone and said that she saw her and Mary wearing the
exactly same clothes as earlier, standing in the main hallway of the hotel just staring
at her.
Ellen told them to stop joking around, the front desk phone rang and by the time she
turned to answer it, they had gone.
Ellen eventually calmed down so she didnt tell her the freakiest part of the story - when
she got home that night, the kitchen clock was stuck at 2:17 AM and right next to it
was a phone of her and Mary smiling that she had developed earlier that afternoon.
Can you explain these creepy clones?
Perhaps its a glitch in the matrix?
Perhaps we will never know …
And finally at number 1 we have Room Number 8.
This one comes from Reddit User Vicerine.
She said before she was born, her parents decided to move ot the coast and open a hotel.
Before they opened for guests, Her Mum and Dad decided to clean all the rooms.
One day, her Mum was in room number 8 doing some vacuuming when the whole carpet started
-rippling- … and I don't mean just colours or patterns.
Her Mum said the entire carpet rippled in a constant fluid wave type motion, lifting
all the furniture and herself up and down off the floor for about 10 seconds.
Her Dad came running when he heard the screams.
Her Mum said they were selling before the place even opened but her Dad managed to convince
her otherwise - she refused to ever step into Room 8 ever again though …
Well I have to say - I loved a few of those.
They honestly scard me and thats coming from a person who does a lot of these videos.
Which one was your favourite?
Would you like a part 2 or shall we do some scary stories about other things in life?
Let me know - Im Danny Burke, thanks for watching and Ill see you all in the next video.

WHY Artem Lobov DID NOT React To Khabib Nurmagomedov At UFC 223 Hotel Incident - Duration: 3:33.
As you may have heard there was a confrontation with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov in
a hotel lobby causing many fans to lose respect for Artem.
The loss of respect was because Khabib can be seen grabbing the back of Artem's neck,
and at one point slapping him.
However, there's likely various reasons why Artem didn't react.
Before I get to what exactly happened and why it happened let's look at an incident
that occurred 4 months ago to the last person that was in a confrontation with some countrymen
of Khabib from Dagestan, which also included Artem.
It involved popular Russian MMA fighter Rasul Mirzaev.
This story was told by a source close to Rasul and Rasul Himself.
According to them, Rasul Invited Artem to Russia to watch some fights at the Fight Nights
Global 57 tournament.
When the event concluded, Rasul, Artem, and a few other companions headed to the "Garage"
night club.
A group of Dagestani men confronted Lobov and began to pester him on why Conor Mcgregor
constantly runs from Khabib.
The Dagestanis insisted that Conor was simply afraid of entering the ring to face him.
They began to insult lobov and that's when Rasul intervened.
The situation seemed to have been diffused.
Later on that night Rasul was going to the bathroom and one of the Dagestanis punched
him in the back of the head.
Rasul started defending himself but eventually the scuffle was broken up by security.
A few days after the incident, Rasul, was attacked in front of his apartment building
by 3 men.
He was apparently shot with a "traumatic pistol" which is known for firing rubber
bullets and is designed to stun its victim.
One man tied a chain around his neck while another beat him with a bat.
Rasul alleges that it appeared the men weren't making an attempt on his life but instead
concentrated on maiming him for life.
Luckily for Rasul he recovered and is back in fight shape as he has a bout scheduled
for May 5th in Russia.
The only reason I bring this incident up is because Artem was very well informed of what
happened to Rasul.
So, he, I'm sure, was aware of how severe the consequences could be for him too.
Not to mention the fact that he was significantly outnumbered, in the middle of a weight cut,
and is scheduled to fight as well.
So, allegedly the reason for the confrontation seems to stem from an interview Artem did
with a Russian MMA news channel which I have linked below.
Luckily, a reddit poster was able to translate what artem said which was:
"Khabib pulled out 6 times already.
He always pulls out of fights.
If something hurts a little bit, he pulls out.
He can't even make weight.
He doesn't give an ISH about his fans, that everyone flew from Russia.
Even getting a visa is a pain and travel expenses…, all in order to see him and he doesn't show
up.
And it's not once.
Not two, three or four times..
Who is chicken here?
Who is afraid?
Conor shows up every time no matter what, he's a true fighter, he's a true champion.
Champion isn't just a belt around your waist, it's mentality, it's your heart.
Conor is a real champion and Khabib is not even close."
He was then asked by the reporter "So in cases where Khabib pulled out, Conor would've
fought every time?"
Artem Answered: "Did you see Conor pulling out of a fight even once?
Everyone has injuries, everyone has problems making weight, but one is a champion and shows
up no matter what, and the other one is a coward who pulls out every time."
In the footage you hear Khabib ask Artem in russian " Hey, you said I was a coward?
You said that?
Artem responds No, khabib then say's "how come no?
How come, no? you said that."
Khabib Proceeds to slap him in the back of the head and says "never say things like
that again."
Luckily, the incident ended with no one being harmed and this just makes Conor vs Khabib
all that more exciting if Khabib is victorious.
Khabib was asked during the pre fight press conference about the incident but had nothing
to say.
Check it out!
"what happened there?
what happened in that video?
what's going on?Back in the hotel?
Khabib:Nothing.
Nothing happened.
We'll wait and see if conor weighs in on the incident and whether he shows up to the
event as Dana White has stated that he is unaware of whether conor will attend.

Hotel forgives man after suitcase of pepperoni causes chaos, leads to 17-year ban - Duration: 2:48.
Hotel forgives man after suitcase of pepperoni causes chaos, leads to 17-year ban
A Canadian Hotel has lifted a 17-year ban on a former guest whose well-intentioned actions led to a tornado of seagull excrement, feathers, pepperoni chunks, and the unwitting assault of a tourist with a towel-wrapped wild bird.
Nick Burchill took to Facebook last week to plead for clemency — and explain the scenario — which has since been compared to iconic British comedy, Monty Python.
17 Years ago a string of unfortunate events led to my being banned from your hotel, Mr Burchill wrote. He had just started a new job, and was at the Fairmont Empress hotel to host a customer conference.
At the time, he was also a member of the Canadian Naval Reserve, and decided to use the trip to also ferry a suitcase full of a local delicacy Brothers Pepperoni to his Navy buddies.
The airline misplaced his luggage, but despite the pepperonis unexpected journey, he thought it would still be good if it cooled down.
There wasnt a refrigerator in the room, so Mr Burchill spread the smallgoods on a table and the sill of an open window to cool in the brisk Canadian weather. Then, I went for a walk. for about 4 or 5 hours..
Both the gull and the shoe went out the window. opening the door to my room to find an entire flock of seagulls. there must have been 40 of them, Mr Burchill wrote.
In case you were wondering, Brothers TNT Pepperoni does NASTY things to a seagulls digestive system. His return startled the drooling, pepperoni chomping gulls.
The result was a tornado of seagull excrement, feathers, pepperoni chunks and fairly large birds whipping around the room. He waded through the trashed room to open the remaining windows and the flock made a hasty exit — all except two.
One greedy gull chucked an avian u-turn, gliding back in for seconds. Mr Burchill threw a shoe at it, and both footwear and bird went out the window. I had forgotten that Seagulls cant fly.
Mr Burchill grabbed a bath towel and jumped the last gull standing but started to freak-out and he wrapped it in the towel and threw it out of the window.
Unfortunately, about the same time, a large group of tourists were heading for the hotels famous high tea, and wandering near his window.
They were struck by first my shoe, then a bound-up seagull (the seagull was unharmed, by the way), he wrote. I had forgotten that Seagulls cannot fly when they are wrapped in a towel.
But the story does not end there. One foot in front of the other. Generally two shoes are required to host a conference, so he retrieved his recently airborne, now rather soiled shoe, and gave it a wash.
He jammed the hotel hairdryer in the cavity to speed the drying process. It worked quite well, at first. Until the phone rang. I walked into the next room to answer it and the power goes off.
It turns-out that the hairdryer had vibrated free of the shoe and fallen into the sink full of water.I dont know how much of the hotels power I knocked-out..
The Fairmont Express wrote in a Tweet that the hotel was ready to welcome the bungle-prone former guest back with open arms. Mr Burchill later said he paired his application for a pardon with a gift for the hotel.
I bet it was the pound of Brothers Pepperoni that I gave them as a peace offering that did the trick, he wrote.

Finding an Accessible Hotel (Some Aren't Accessible Enough) - Duration: 4:49.
Hi, I'm Kristin with ALS 411 on handicapped accessibility and hotels.
So our kids really wanted to go on a spring break vacation, and they wanted our whole
family to go, which is a daunting task when you're dealing with ALS and paralysis.
But we did it.
Success.
We drove seven hours to Minneapolis, and we stayed at a hotel.
Finding a hotel that would work for us was a challenge.
I called maybe half a dozen places and asked some basic questions.
How wide the bathroom door was.
If there would be room underneath the bed for a Hoyer.
If there was space to turn a Hoyer.
And at the Residence Inn in Bloomington near the Mall of America in Minneapolis, the manager
was so kind to take measurements and to send me photos and so I could know going into it
that this hotel would work for us.
There were many places that would not work.
The handicapped accessible rooms do not necessarily have the space to navigate a Hoyer into the
bathroom or room for a Hoyer under a bed.
So that's something we need to check out ahead of time.
Not all hotel beds are created equal.
There are many hotel bed that have a platform base on the floor, and they don't easily raise
up to fit a Hoyer underneath.
We have in the past when traveling to an ALS clinic brought blocks and got those to go
underneath the platform bed.
But honestly, it seemed a little precarious.
This was much better, and the hotel did all the work.
Got everything ready for us.
There was enough room to maneuver a Hoyer in front of the bed, and enough room to fit
the Hoyer underneath the bed.
When we got Todd into the bed the first night, we couldn't get the Hoyer out though because
the bed sank down into the carpet.
But the hotel was kind enough to provide bed risers.
And so it lifted up so there was plenty of room underneath.
The Hoyer!
Big thank you to the ALSA Minnesota chapter.
They were able to provide us a Hoyer and have it delivered to the hotel.
And the hotel again was kind enough to accept it and store it for us ahead of time, and
then store it until they can pick it up after our departure.
The bathroom door was wide enough to maneuver a Hoyer through, and there was room for a
Hoyer on either side of the toilet.
It's also a straight shot.
I've been in accessible rooms that have a curve to get to the toilet.
You have to turn a corner, and it makes it a lot more challenging.
This one worked beautifully.
We stayed in a suite, which was very nice.
The center had a kitchen/living room area, and our caregiver was able to sit there at
night and then hear Todd who was in one of the bedrooms when he needed to be turned because
he requires twenty-four hour care now.
And then the kids and I slept in the other bedroom.
The Residence Inn had two handicap accessible suites available.
The one that we were in had a roll-in shower, which we didn't use because we didn't bring
a shower chair.
We were just there for a few days.
It was a challenge to be away from our equipment.
We were glad to get home to our overhead lift.
But it went as smoothly as we could have hoped.
And the kids had a ton of fun.
It was really fun to go to the Mall of America, because the mall is so handicap accessible.
There's a lot of great food, and the amusement park.
And as Todd and I were sitting there, watching the kids get in line and get on a ride, I
was just struck with the sense of normalcy, which was so nice, because we were sitting
there like all the other parents, just waiting.
And it was beautiful.
The kids had a blast.
Now we were there during spring break, so it was a bit of a zoo, and the elevators were
crowded.
If we were to go again, we'd probably go at a time when it wasn't so busy.
We also went to the aquarium, which the kids loved.
It was like driving in rush hour traffic for me with maneuvering the wheelchair and a wall
of people.
But overall a great trip.
