Orb Composer - How to create simple MIDI routing into Ableton Live - Duration: 4:41.
In this screencast I'll show you how to connect Orb Composer to Ableton Live
This simple example uses one instrument and a total of 3 tracks
Every combination of an instrument and an articulation in Orb Composer is connected to a midi channel on a so-called Orb device,
a virtual midi interface that appears in your DAW's selection of input devices
After creating a block on an instrument track in Orb Composer,
it shows you, to which Orb and channel it's connected.
This depends on instrument and articulation.
You then have to recreate those settings in your DAW's track midi input routing.
I'll now create a second instrument block in OC which I'll route to the same piano instrument in Live.
Again one has to take care of using the same orb/channel settings as in the corresponding instrument block in OC.
This channel is now routed to the correct instrument track and channel,
it also needs to be set ready to receive midi input.
Now I'll create and route a third channel for the bass,
speeding up the tedious clicking in Orb Composer for brevity sake.
Watch out for the correct device and channel assignments in the DAW,
enable the channel to receive midi input and forward it to the instrument.
Sounds quite nice. doesn't it?

A Simple Fly Rod Box With Hand Tools | A "How To Make" video - Duration: 8:59.
welcome back is clean Phil wanted
one thing that I do enjoy doing a lot is fly-fishing gosh I probably have four or
five five whites pretty much every single one of them is broken I had
learned a long time ago to always have a backup rod this is his bag and this is
all yeah this is pretty much all I ever had but it's in a st. Croix box bag it
needs a better home than this to keep it safe finally so we are going to try to
make a box it's not going to be the prettiest box in the world but it's
gonna work and I hope if I make the sizes right because we all know I'm not
necessarily good at doing that I don't have a curfew plane to set a curve here
and I could I started to mark it out with a marking case but I'm going to try
to do something I've not really done before I'm going to make a kerf with an
eighth inch blade on my stanley 45
that's a good one that's a good one I'm gonna go ahead and do something
that's probably annoys everybody at this point but I'm gonna antique this the
same way I do with everything else or vinegar steel wool mixture just because
that's what I do I should take the hardware off because that stuff oxidizes
I'm not gonna worry about it you may worry about that if you want to take
them off them off it's not gonna be a dramatic effect but
a little bit of oxidation hurts most metals this is still drying and two rods
in here this is the tenkara rod I didn't know I couldn't use in New Zealand when
I brought it over and a st. Croix rod which is not really a st. Croix
but there you go we made a box to protect really this guy yeah even though
he doesn't necessarily need it anymore but
he certainly deserves it Kraus pinned with molding nails so that will
hopefully never come apart we'll find out what's up yeah probably put the semi
gloss spray with the HVLP sprayer on this leader I'm not going to worry about
it right now this all needs to dry out first this is nice that's a winner I'm
enjoying making boxes I think we're gonna make a few more for now subscribe
like and comment catch you later Cheers did you happen to
take my coffee I don't think so
well this one was on the counter I thought I filled it up that was mine
where's the other one I need a desk oh I'll trade you okay sorry that's okay I

Past is so Simple - Duration: 1:45.
Хello! Past Simple is so similar as Present Simple! We have the auxiliary verb
DO in past simple form, but frequently we use it only for negative or question
sentences. You know, we skip the DO/DID "thang" in
positive sentences, because it doesn't sound natural. When we speak about
totally completed actions we use past simple tense. "I finished the whole
unpleasant job yesterday." Yesterday is gone, it will never come back again. So my
job will never be same. We don't use Present Perfect, but we use Past Simple.
When we describe Past State or Past Event again we use Past Simple. "You seemed
nice." "They took a bath in milk and honey." "We were at the party." And the last
important usage is when we speak about hypothetical actions. For example: "If you
get hired, our company must rise up." As you see, we have regular (-ED) & irregular
verbs in their past simple forms. Bye!

5 Simple Habits to Regenerate Your Neurons - Duration: 9:13.
5 Simple Habits to Regenerate Your Neurons
Neurogenesis is the amazing process by which our brains are capable of creating new brain cells as well as their respective connections.
Feeling skeptical? Thats common.
After all, until recently, it was widely believed that, as we grow older, the brain loses its nerve cells and theyre destroyed beyond repair.
Now, theres evidence that you can actually regenerate your neurons.
Whats more, it was assumed that suffering a traumatic accident or consuming high levels of alcohol led to the definitive loss of the brains agility and competency, both of which are characteristic of a healthy person and healthy habits.
Now, theres a word that gives us hope: neuroplasticity.
Despite the fact that our brains do change over the years, or because of injuries or bad habits (alcohol, smoking…), this organ has the capability of regenerating itself, creating new neuronal pathways and tissue.
However, for this process to actually happen, we must take a proactive approach in order to stimulate our brains natural capacity.
Today, we want to share the steps you can take to help promote neurogenesis.
Everything you think and do reorganises your brain
The human brain barely weighs around three pounds, yet it consumes almost 20% of our total energy.
Everything we do – whether it be reading, studying, or talking to somebody – causes incredible changes to be made to our brains structure.
In fact, rather interestingly, everything we think and feel has an effect.
For example, if our daily life is built on stress or we are taken over by anxiety, regions of the brain (like the hippocampus, which is associated with memory) are often affected.
For this internal map to work, it needs all of the relevant roads, bridges and links that make it possible to stay in touch with the real world.
Today, well explain how you can improve your quality of life by focusing on your mental health.
5 top tips to help promote neurogenesis
1.Physical exercise
Physical exercise and neurogenesis are very closely related.
Every time we start our body working by going for a walk, going swimming, or hitting the gym for a simple exercise regime, we oxygenate our brain.
Not only does this supply our brains with a rush of purer and more oxygenated blood, it also stimulates the production of endorphins.
Endorphins improve our mood, and for that reason, help to combat stress, therefore strengthening many neural structures.
Any activity that reduces our stress levels promotes neurogenesis.
All you need to do is find what type of exercise is best for you (dancing, walking, cycling…).
2. An agile mind, a powerful brain
There are many ways to keep your brain agile, awake and capable of processing your surroundings more quickly.
One of these ways is by doing another type of exercise, although this time we have to put the physical kind to one side and take our brains to the gym.
By reading every day, you heighten your interest and curiosity for new things.
You can also enjoy the benefits of learning a new language.
Learn to play an instrument.
View things critically and make your own conclusions.
Play games and solve puzzles.
Develop an open mind, be receptive to everything that is around you, socialise, travel, discover things, and be passionate about life.
3. Take care of your diet
One of the biggest enemies against having a healthy brain is saturated fat.
Pre-prepared and processed foods also slow down neurogenesis.
Thats why its important to follow a low-calorie but varied diet that includes all the nutrients we need.
Always remember that our brains need energy, and that in the morning, for example, a healthy dose of sugary food is always good.
However, we should also take into account that this glucose load should come from a piece of fruit, a square of dark chocolate, a spoonful of honey, or a cup of oats.
Foods rich in omega-3 are, without a doubt, the best foods to encourage neurogenesis.
4. Sex helps, too
Sex is a great architect of the brain and a natural promoter of neurogenesis.
Can you guess why?.
Sex doesnt just regulate stress, but it also has a huge impact on our emotions, which stimulates the areas of the brain related to memory.
Hormones like serotonin, dopamine, or oxytocin, generated during these intimate moments, promote the creation of new nerve cells.
5. Meditation
The effects that meditation has on the brain are unquestionable and marvelous.
Meditation improves certain cognitive abilities, such as attention span, memory and concentration, for example.
It helps us to be present, to channel stress and anxiety.
Also, when we meditate, our brain starts to work differently; it boosts alpha waves, which little by little, create gamma waves.
These waves improve relaxation which, in turn, helps stimulate brain connectivity and neurogenesis.
Despite the fact that learning to meditate requires some time and practice, achieving it is the best natural medicine for our minds and well-being.
To conclude, as you can see, these 5 key things are easy to do, fun to put into practice and very beneficial for your brains health.
