News on Youtube Dec 28 2017

Do you wash every day? Every day old friend.

If you could have any one thing for Christmas, what would it be?

That would be a piece of meat, for a braai and my family. That's all I need.

I much prefer living here than anywhere else. Why don't you see God in other places?

No, I don't see God in other places. All day long it's only drunkenness.

So it's pure here?

Yes, it's tik and...you understand.

Simple Programmer Success Story: From $30/hour To $300/hour - Duration: 6:47.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I thought I'd read another success story.

I've been doing a few of these success stories.

Maybe we can put together a success store playlist for those of you that are interested

in hearing people's success stories as more and more of them are coming in.

It's kind of funny because I've been doing this really like doing the two or three videos

a day and really like change the focus of this channel maybe like—I guess it was about

three years ago.

That's about how long it takes to really like really hit success that you got to stick with

things long enough.

This is from Andreja, I believe, and he says, "Hey, John.

First off, I wanted to tell you.

You have been a huge inspiration over the past few years on and off of my journey from

being a nobody to a somebody in my career.

In 2013, sometime around the spring/early summer, I was an IT network engineer who had

been pushing the boundaries on my career development.

Fail off and fail hard, learn off and grow, overcome and succeed my previous self every

single day.

However, I had fallen into a slump after two years of trying to break into Microsoft, my

dream company.

The cloud was a very new concept and it felt like a moment in time that given the right

skill, attitude, perseverance and hint of luck would become my own great journey.

All I needed was that foot in the door.

I did what anyone out of the community of college with an IT degree in network and server

administration would do.

Find jobs, get experience, hop off and certify like a madman.

I remember just simply saying why you should fake it until you make it in May of 2013."

We'll link to that videos of old video of faking it until you make it.

"Then I kept consuming learning from and leveraging your content to shape my own reality, and

it worked.

I was on freaking fire brother.

October 2013 after four interviews and endless nights and weekends and weekdays of trainings,

studying, learning, failing, rinse and repeat, I was extended an offer at Microsoft with

Azure Cloud."

Nice.

That's cool.

All right.

"Ever since I kept to the lessons learned from your channel, hit the freaking gym, lost

the weight, became the best version of myself and, you guessed it, faked it until I made

it.

After four years at Microsoft with three promotions and a lot of fascinating world-changing projects

at my helm, I left for a senior role in another cloud company with direct reports in all including

a large field of impact for the company in many new exciting adventures to come.

In 2011,"—listen to this one guys.

"In 2011, I made $13 an hour.

In 2013, I made $45 an hour and now, well, shit, man, my total comp is just shy of 300K.

Sometimes it doesn't even feel real.

P.S.

Not a software developer but a long-lost brother from IT networking and security data center

world, which is insanely good news.

I want to thank you directly and personally.

Please keep doing what you're doing.

Inspire these kids who are just starting out or the folks starting their third careers.

I faked it, I made it and I kept diving right back into the river to get wet.

It turns out the things I faked, I forced into becoming a reality both for myself and

the world around me.

You rock, man.

Keep up the amazing work.

Sincerely, AJ."

Thanks, AJ.

I appreciate your email.

You know, I just wanted to read this email as a brag, of course, but also just because

like this is one of those things that I talk about all the time.

It's just how your reality can change.

It's awesome what AJ has been able to do here to go from $13 an hour to $45 an hour to $300,000

plus a year.

Something that he couldn't even have imagined before, but he did it because—I don't

know like—I mean he talked about obviously a huge amount of work ethic, but what probably

changed things more than anything else and I think AJ would agree was this change of

reality, of believing it, of that fake it until you make it.

Is it that you're faking it until you make it, is that why you're making it or is it

because you're suddenly believing.

You're acting as if the things were possible and you're changing your viewpoint.

Once you believe that something is possible, once you start going after that thing and

you start operating with that premise, with already believing that you've made it, with

already believing that what you want to become, that change in mindset, that shift in reality,

makes things a reality.

You literally have the power to shape your reality.

I think that's something that AJ discovered in his life, and it's still amazing.

It still amazes me of my own ability to shape my reality, how my life has changed over the

last seven years.

I did this video.

I guess it's been eight years now and you can check that video out of you're interested

in my own changes in my life.

It still amazes me, how much power we have.

I also am amazed or I wonder a lot of times about how much that I don't even recognize

that I have now, like how much of my own reality am I trapped in right now that I don't even

see what true reality is.

I don't even realize what is still possible for me that I'm limiting myself.

You got to realize that you're limiting yourself, that you're limiting your own beliefs that

what you think is impossible is quite possible because you have the ability to shape reality.

I'm actually going to point to a book here that I think is worth reading.

I've talked about this book before.

It's probably my top pick of book.

It's called Man's Search—As a Man Thinketh and this is by James Allen.

It's a really old book.

You should definitely check out this book.

It's a very short book as you can see, but this has the mindset.

This book is all about the idea how what you believe and what you think shapes and alters

your reality.

A very, very powerful concept.

Something I would highly recommend that you read.

If you want to have success like AJ, this book can help you to do it.

Obviously, continue watching videos on this channel.

Thanks again, AJ.

Thanks for sharing your story.

If you've got to share a story to share, make sure you can email me at john@simpleprogrammer.com.

I dug in a lot of these stories.

I do read not all of them on the air, but I will try to read your stories, especially

if it's a good one and you're really highlighting how the content here has helped you to achieve

success in your life.

Thanks again, AJ, and congrats man.

That's awesome.

I'm glad to hear your story.

All right.

If you haven't subscribed already, click that Subscribe button below.

Click the bell so you don't miss any videos.

I'll talk to you next time.

Take care.

4 Simple Reasons why we FAIL to lose weight - Duration: 7:29.

why does it seem like a Herculean task for everyone who's at it is it really so

we'll also see what are the mistakes that people do when they're trying to

lose weight well there's another problem that whenever someone is trying to lose

weight they think that they're doing everything correctly but in reality they

aren't so what are these things we'll also see in a while being

overweight in India these days is like an epidemic so we say that one out of

every four individual in India these days is overweight but that's actually

not the real problem the real problem is that these people

who are all weight don't see it as a problem it's only when the doctors say

that it's time to wake up that they begin to see and they begin to

worry well there's good news also that it's never too late to start so this

video is for the people who have already started worrying about their weights and

they are putting in some effort in one way or the other to get back in shape

right back to our topic main why do so many people find it's so difficult to

lose weight reason number one is ignoring nutrition

most of us still think that gym is the place which makes you fit and gym is the

place which is gonna make you lose weight well you see the concept of abs

are made in the kitchen is not a myth it must have been coined by a really smart

guy who must have had abs see if you are in a habit of rewarding yourself with

the donut and cake maybe after your workout then it's very unlikely you're

gonna get back in shape soon.

reason number two just eating less is not

dieting if you have been eating less consistently for a very long time now

and you have been going to the gym consistently for a very long time now

and you are still struggling to lose weight well it's not a surprise because

just eating less is not dieting eating right

is dieting and right is different for everybody my right would not be right

for a 45 year old female now when we are discussing eating less a very important

note on this see there's something known as metabolic rate now there are

different types of metabolic rate like this one known as BMR that is your basal

metabolic rate there is one RMR that's your resting metabolic rate but not

getting very deep into it so metabolic rate is the amount of energy that your

body spends every day now if you start eating less consistently then your body

detects this so it slows down your metabolism which reduces your metabolic

rate to understand this more clearly let's see an example let's say that the

total amount of calories that a body is burning each day is equal to 2,000 and

the total amount of intake that you're having through your food is 1500 kilo

calories a day so ideally this is a deficit of 500 calories so you should be

losing weight but this does not happen what happens is that your brain

it starts detecting this low intake of calories and instead of you losing

weight your brain slows down your metabolism from 2,000 kilocalories to

1,500 calories and maybe even lesser than that so now the situation is that

you are consuming 1,500 calories every day through your food and your body is

burning also 1,500 calories the result you don't see any weight loss no

metabolism is a huge topic in itself and I'll be doing videos in future on

metabolism to cover it properly for today the takeaway is that eating less

is not the solution 3 is following Bro-science now this is kind of funny see

there's something on the signs and there's something known as bro-science

now bro science is the science of people who think that they know things but in

reality they actually cannot don't so if you take nutrition advices from a person

who is not really qualified to give it a person who takes is most of the

knowledge from Google or another bro science expert

then things might not go as smooth for you as they should reason number four is

no consistency now I know it's a quick paced world everybody wants quick money

quick fame some people you can get it through your methods but these quick

methods don't actually work with your body think about it you've taken years

to gain those extra pounds now give your body at least a few months to get rid of

them getting on the weight machine every second day and then cribbing about it is

not going to take you anywhere so if you have a legit exercise and a nutrition

plan and stick to it for at least four to six weeks to see some visible results

and if you don't have a plan yet then get help from people who are qualified to

help you well what people do these days is they hear about different things and

they want to try them all out assume keto people want to take up keto diet

just because it's so in these days and they'll follow keto for about two weeks

then a friend of theirs would come and tell them that have you heard about this

great Mediterranean diet you are even a lot booze at night so they'll get

fascinated by this Mediterranean diet so they want to try it now so two weeks of

keto go then they switch to something else then they switch to something else

and after a few months they wonder I've been dieting for so long now why am I

not getting results so I'm going to quickly recap four reasons why people

are not able to lose weight effectively number one is ignoring nutrition don't

ignore nutrition you are not gonna get anywhere if you don't take care of what

you eat number two is eating less just eating

less is not dieting eating right is dieting and trust me if you eat right

you are automatically gonna eat less number three following bro science don't

follow bro science follow science take help of people who are qualified enough

in this field number four is consistency you need to get legit exercise in

nutrition plan and you need to stick to it for a while for seeing some amount of

results someone or visible results in your body so guys these were

the basic reasons why people are not able to achieve weight loss effectively

but the story doesn't end here there are more reasons like there are

psychological reasons there are physiological reasons I would be

covering both of them in my upcoming video so all you gotta do right now is

yes subscribe subscribe to nutrition hacks and be ready for some genuine and

interesting Fitness content since you're still watching this video so I would

seriously recommend you to watch my video on why not to follow youtube diets

might be a good eye-opener or for some people so guys I'll catch you next time

Your simple guide to Cryptocurrency for Beginners. - Duration: 9:27.

Hello! Jez Feldmesser here from Feldmesser dot co bringing you your simple guide to

cryptocurrency all beginners by me Jez Feldmesser an ex beginner because we've

all got to start somewhere so I made this simple guide basically because I've

seen a lot of information going around about Bitcoin in the media and a lot of

my friends have no idea what cryptocurrency is etc so let me just

introduce you to this for your educational benefit. I've just taken this

entry from Bitcoin in the Wikipedia and bitcoins cryptocurrency and worldwide

payment system well yes it is and it's getting even better it's the first

decentralized digital currency as the system works without a central bank "Yoo

hoo!" that's a good point...." or a single administrator" nobody could shut it down

it's worldwide it's... it's on- line it's there. "The network is peer-to-peer"

person-to-person individual to individual from me to you - that's great

and transactions take place with users directly through the use of cryptography

you don't have to know anything about cryptography to use Bitcoin..." without an

intermediary " that means nobody in the middle that's a good point remember that

these transactions are verified by network nodes like your computer and my

computer and somebody else's computer on the network and recorded in a public

distributed ledger meaning everybody can see whatever else is doing except it's

all anonymous because it's just numbers and this is the blockchain. So "bitcoin

was invented by an unknown person or group of people under the name of

Satoshi Nakamoto and released as open source software "meaning everybody can

contribute to it and improve upon it and as you'll learn next it has been

improved upon and multiple versions of cryptocurrency are

now actually in existence so it was released in 2009 which means we are now

nearly in its 9th birthday I suppose bitcoins are created as the reward for a

process called mining but you don't have to mine it yourself that's good news

because if you had to mine all the gold that used to cover the dollars then that

would be difficult but we don't do that anymore we just base our currency

exchanges by the very important idea that somebody else will be willing to

accept our pieces of paper or our numbers in exchange for goods and

services so in fact you've been using digital currency ever since you had your

credit card so it's actually not that new as a concept because you don't have

to have pieces of paper that represent the money or blocks of gold or silver

that represent money the money is the idea that what you transmit to somebody

in exchange for goods or services he can then or she can then transmit to

somebody else in exchange for what they need and these are very important

concepts to keep in mind as we go through this basic introduction so the

University of Cambridge estimates in 2017 this is an April estimate and we're

in December so figures have changed but they're between two point nine to five

point eight million unique users using a cryptocurrency wallet most of them using

Bitcoin because bitcoin was the big baby that started it all off and now there

are a bunch of others December 17 there are one thousand three hundred and

seventy three different crypto currencies coins this is just the coins

not the tokens coins listed on coin market Capcom which I suggest you don't

have a look and find out what all that's about so obviously there's a lot of

interest in the idea of cryptocurrency the current US dollar

of the combined crypto currencies is around the six hundred billion dollar

mark and has tripled in the last three months hence the reason for all the

media bars about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin and all that good stuff so let's

continue your education is that good or bad get educated is my answer as you've

seen perhaps in my logo it says applied knowledge equals results

so cryptocurrency is in my opinion the future exchange of value while we strive

to make a exchange system that works for the people and not just banks there are

many changes that will occur so my thoughts however that the will of the

people will win over the will of the bankers and we will see cryptocurrency

become our currency person-to-person each individual capable of exercising

their ability to exchange their value with a planet of other people hence the

reason why I'm really excited about our future he said reaching for his

smartphone because the reason I'm reaching for my smartphone is because we

have coin based applications on smartphone which allows you to have a

digital currency in your phone and and

you can see we are 15 thousand something dollars on the Bitcoin price it's been

going up and down rather excitedly because it's currently still evidently a

volatile market hence the reason to get educated but how do I get started is

obviously for the next question well there are very simple steps one of them

of course is get a wallet a link below you could just get your coin based

wallet on your phone or on your computer it's as easy as that and follow the link

to get you your wallet so that's a start you have have a lot then you

want to put some cryptocurrency in it so then put some cryptocurrency in it and

it's quite easy to do you simply buy some cryptocurrency of your choice and

on the coinbase comm you can buy Bitcoin Bitcoin cash if there are a.m. and

litecoin and you can see my other videos which

will give you other explanations of what all these are

so then learn how to send and receive this is an important next step because

obviously as a user of cryptocurrency you will want to be able to send people

money and you will won't be able to receive cryptocurrency money so those

are the two actions I suggest you get used to doing it and of course you can

start with a cryptocurrency that is not costly to use and start exchanging some

cryptocurrency with your friends and family so that you can see how all this

works Bitcoin is currently slow let's make a little note here because it's

getting kind of saturated in that area therefore I suggest you can use litecoin

to start off with and have fun with it the whole point is to get you trained

and happy to use cryptocurrency which is your future currency let's get the next

steps yes subscribe to my channel here to keep updated and click on the

notifications Bell ding ding so that when I upload another video you are

notified and can continue your education you can continue learning about

cryptocurrency so that you learn how to be profit and be ahead of the game this

is the next steps and you can join me in the Bitcoin well club which is free club

join and continue your education and there are effectively referral

commissions on the higher levels within the wealth club which you can earn even

if you only have a free account so that's only for people that are

interested in money and more information links I've put in the description below

so you have to click on the show more link down below so you can find those

link and continue our education share this

video with people if you'd like to assist them to learn about

cryptocurrency and of course leave me your questions

and comments in the section below bye for now see you guys in the next video

Here's The Incredibly Simple Way To Escape From A Zip Tie That Everyone Should Know - Duration: 7:35.

chances are you won't ever get abducted and bound by a zip-tie if you did would

you know how to escape luckily it's not as hard as you think

there are actually three genius ways to do so and each one is essential to learn

there are three proven ways for escaping from zip tie restraints they know that

the threat of kidnapping although rare is still very real and these methods

could save your life for the first method they bought the strongest ties

they could from their local hardware store during a kidnapping scenario your

captors will likely use the strongest materials available the first thing they

point out is the small locking bar within the zip tie that secures the

plastic tightening ridges this is the key to removing the time all it takes is

slight pressure and the zip tie will slide right off the locking mechanism

can actually be released with only a fingernail of course this only works if

you have long fingernails or if your hands are bound in such a way that you

can actually bend your finger back into the safety release opening there's more

if you have a small thin piece of metal on you that will work even better the

trick as with your fingernail is to finagle the metal into the small opening

in the lock releasing the bind there's a second way to remove zip ties this

method takes a lot more dexterity so you'll want to try it out at home

several times to perfect it the imminent threat solutions demonstrator starts in

a standing position so viewers can get a close look at how his hands are bound

then he sat down on the ground with his feet out in front of him the key to this

escape technique is to have both your legs in front of you if you're not in

this position try to wiggle your way into it your life depends on what you do

next then you'll remove a shoelace from one

of your sneakers assuming you're still wearing them this lace is going to be

the key to your escape so try your best not to allow you captors to take your

shoes now tie a loop in one end using a slip knot make sure the slip knot is

secure and won't come undone under stress it will drastically improve your

chances of survival now that you have the loop and slip knot tied on one end

do the exact same thing to the other end of the lace once you have both loops

securely fastened place one around each of your feet but not before you try this

one important step before looping each end of the cord around your right and

left foot make sure the lace weaves through the zip tie so you're left with

a triangular shaped like ana photo below now you're ready to begin your escape

using the friction from the lace the third method of escaping zip ties

completely depends on the positioning of your hands when you're bound if given

the opportunity trying to have your captors bind your hands in this position

where your fists are side-by-side it may not appear like it to your captors but

this positioning allows you enough wiggle room to slip free once the zip

ties are on if you rotate either your right or left wrist 90 degrees one hand

should slip free what if your hands are bound like this with one wrist on top of

the other this is when things get a bit more complicated to escape this one you

will actually need to learn how to flex your wrists in such a way that one of

your hands is able to slip free as soon as your hands are bound work

your wrists back and forth until one of the palms of your hands is able to lie

flat on top of the other balled up fist it might take several minutes of

maneuvering for this to happen now pull your wrist as hard as you can through

the zip tie working it slightly left and right while you do so keep in mind that

this might hurt the blood may start to leave your fingertips but power through

the pain it's more important to escape than to give up here are the three

methods in action
