So I looked around for the next game to review and I spotted it in the depths of Steam.
It had a cool name that was also the name of my favorite Nine Inch Nails album.
The game's setup reminded me of System Shock 2 with a lone explorer facing the unknown
in an isolated space station.
The slick environmental design presented in the trailer made the idea of playing the game
even more appealing.
With all these factors in mind, I was eager to review Downward Spiral: Horus Station.
Unfortunately, I set my expectations too high.
Though the game captures the spirit of desolation, but it really leaves a lot to be desired.
Downward Spiral primarily has you playing as an explorer of the derelict Horus Station.
It's a first person shooter with a light focus on puzzles.
The obvious selling point is the game's zero gravity mechanic.
The game has you mainly traveling through the empty sectors of the station with your
grappling hook and air gun.
Downward Spiral also allows you to push yourself against walls to get around, but I hardly
used that feature after getting the grappling hook.
Even though the tools are pretty neat, they're also on the slow side.
Movement was a real pace killer, but it added a new experience that stuck out to me.
It's probably even better in VR, but I don't have one of those headsets, so it doesn't
really matter here.
The game has very little story at the forefront besides vague instructions about restoring
power to the station and destroying the core.
There are little details scattered about, but I found very little worth pondering over.
Regardless, I did enjoy the sense of unraveling a story through the environment rather than
being outright told.
There are times the story abruptly transports the player to a mysterious desert with little
context.
If anything, it just added more to my confusion.
Honestly, I'm tired of indie games going for all this minimalism.
I saw it in Forma.8, Zero North Zero West, and even Solas and the White Winter.
After all was said and done, Solas didn't even compel me enough to deserve a video review.
Anyway, even though I was very lukewarm about the story, the environmental design left a
much better impression on me.
I'll be frank, Downward Spiral looks great.
It has this sterile visual design that is both a blessing and a curse.
The environments look sleek and futuristic adding an immersive quality to the experience.
However, it's so clean that there's little to really be startled with.
Often times, I was just nonchalantly floating around the station looking for a way to progress.
Even the enemies are on the bland side.
They're just these simple security robots with very little going for them.
And to top it all off, the checkpoint system is way too forgiving.
There are respawn locations all over the place, so dying really doesn't set you back all that
much.
Also, it felt way too easy to die.
The speedy enemies could come at you from any angle and all you can do is kill them
before they kill you.
You move slower than they do and it's like you're playing a senile old astronaut.
On the game's medium difficulty, I was sent back to the respawn chamber after only a few
hits.
Finally, there are annoying instakills that are just plain awful.
All these little issues add up creating a gameplay experience that I'd hesitate to
recommend.
Luckily, it's fun to blow up the hordes of flying Roomba.
So the combat's iffy, but how is the rest of the gameplay?
Well, it's both slow and simple.
The game throws a couple of puzzle sections every so often.
However, I'd hesitate to call them puzzles.
They're more like sections where you just find the key and then use it somewhere in
the station.
Searching for keys is mundane and it's further compounded by the previously mentioned slow
movement speed.
There was one sequence that I'd consider pretty neat where you'd connect substations
onto the main station.
Even so, it was on the confusing side if you weren't paying close enough attention.
This got me stuck for a while as I was just focusing on the timer screen to the right
of the puzzle and I was curious to see what would happen if I just waited for it to countdown
to zero.
Anyway, it's a mostly straightforward explorative experience with little tension and little
reward.
Sure, it's a calming experience, but it failed to genuinely intrigue me.
Downward Spiral is a game that really left me feeling conflicted.
It ticked a lot of boxes for me right out of the gate.
However, the game drops the ball on execution.
I was somewhat disappointed, but the game did prove one thing to me.
It proved that 3rd Eye Studios is worth keeping an eye on.
The scale and presentation of the game is already quite impressive as well as their
unique zero gravity mechanic.
I'm honestly impressed by what the group is capable of and I'm eager to see what
they make next.
Hopefully next time they focus more on crafting an engaging experience rather than focusing
on minimalism.
Thanks for watching the review.

I wrote the original review for DarkStation and a review copy was provided.
If you want more, here are some of my other videos.
Also, in case anyone's interested, I'll throw a link to my Solas and the White Winter
review in the description.
Anyway, I'll see you all next time when I review some random game that looks cool
in some superficial way and I end up getting disappointed.

Purfit Design Buffalo Slim Bifold Minimalist RFID Wallet with Money Clip Review - Duration: 2:23.
Hey it's Bey, and today I'm going to be doing a quick review of the Purfit Design Buffalo
Slim Bifold Wallet.
This wallet was sent to me from Purfit Design but everything that I say in this video are
my own thoughts and opinions.
It currently comes in Black and Cognac.
I'll put a link to Amazon in the description if you're interested.
My first thought when receiving this wallet is that it smells really good.
This wallet is made out of genuine leather and I highly recommend taking a sniff of this
wallet right when you receive it.
It may be the best smelling wallet that I've ever smelled.
You have a total of eight slots to carry things like cards and cash.
On the front, you have two card slots of your most frequently used cards.
I usually keep my debit hard in one slot and a credit card knife in the other.
On the back, you have a magnetic money clip.
It's very secure and I trust it with holding my cash, even though It's only a couple of
dollars, but you can hold up to 10 bills if you have that many.
You can easily lift up the tab to get quick access and it'll snap back into place thanks
to the magnets.
I really like the snap fastener thingy because it keeps the wallet closed even if you drop it.
It's very easy to lock and unlock the wallet, but it's very secure.
On the left side, you have two card slots.
On the right, you have another card slot and a clear spot for your ID.
You have a little cutout on the center to get your ID out more easily.
There are also two interior side slots that you can use to hold receipts or more cash
if you wanted to.
You do have the money clip on the exterior of the wallet, but you can use these slots
if you have more than ten bills, or if you just want to hide your more larger bills.
The build quality of this wallet is great.
It is made out of genuine leather like I mentioned before, and it will develop a good looking
worn out look like with other leather products.
The stitching also looks really solid.
What I really like about this wallet is that you can't find any sort of logo anywhere on
this wallet.
l Oh yeah, this wallet is RFID protected which is great.
Even the front two quick access card slots are RFID protected.
Overall, the Purfit Design Buffalo Bifold Wallet is a solid choice if you're looking
for a new wallet.
It smells great, has good build quality, and can hold a lot of cards and cash
without getting too bulky.
Again, I'll leave a link in the description to Amazon if you're interested.
That was my video review of the Purfit Design Buffalo Slim Bifold Wallet.

Chanel Classic Double Flap Medium/Large | Bag Review - Duration: 10:04.
Hello there, I am Jill Maurer. Welcome to my channel. Today
I'm doing another handbag review video, and this is for the Chanel Classic Double Flap in the medium/large.
I do know that this bag is probably, this bag and the Chanel Jumbo, are probably the two
that have been reviewed the most on YouTube. So you have probably seen other reviews of this bag.
I know that when I'm looking for a bag
I like to see everybody's videos. See it in different situations. See different people talk about it.
There's just something about people talking about owning the bag that tells me whether the bag is right for me or not.
So I hope that I can help you. Many many people have done that for me.
And now I'm paying it forward, and I hope that I can help you in some way
decide if this bag is right for you. This was actually my very first Chanel handbag
purchase, and I wasn't sure
which bag to purchase. It was between a couple bags, and this is the one that I decided to get.
I bought it in France for a big birthday about twelve years ago, and it is in the black
lambskin with the silver hardware. This was my favorite color combination. It also comes classically in
caviar, and it comes in a variety of colors.
There are colors that Chanel produces every year and then sometimes it does ... they do
seasonal colors that can be very pretty. And then they also get wacky with this bag so you can see this bag with sparkles and
fabric, and half fabric and half leather. And they do some crazy
exciting designs every year so you have a lot of options in this size bag. For my first Chanel bag
I wanted to get a bag that I knew that I could carry for a long time, was neutral and
that I could remember my trip to France and on my birthday, and
that I could carry with me for a long time. So this is the one I chose. This is the double flap.
So it's just the twist lock
opening and
It it has the double flap. Here are the two flaps. The black bags usually, not always, usually have
this color
interior with Chanel. I call this oxblood. I don't know if she calls it burgundy.
I'm not sure exactly what they call it. But it's this dark red interior. My particular bag is made in France,
and so I'm not sure if they all are there. It's ... It's possible that some may be made in Italy now.
It's possible that they always were, but this bag was made in France and purchased there. So there's this pocket here.
There's the big central pocket with two side pockets,
and then this is a lipstick pocket.
There is, when you close this there's another flap ... another pocket here. And this
zippered pocket is very little. It goes up not down ... goes up.
So this is a very little pocket this I use for tickets or something small that I want to carry,
but it doesn't really hold much at all.
This is a great place to put my cell phone sometimes because if the bag is closed and snapped, and I'm
shopping or out and about, and I just want to open this reach in and get my cell phone without opening the entire bag ...
that's typically what I use it for. I'll give you a
360 degree angle of this. On the back is what people sometimes call the Mona Lisa pocket.
It's because it sort of looks like her smile.
I don't put things in here other than maybe
a parking ticket, or something very small because I don't want to pull this. I've heard of people putting
smaller phones there and a variety of items. If you
travel on the metro a lot. Maybe your MetroCard could go in there. So here's what it looks like, and
it does not have feet. This one does not have feet. This is a light bag. It's relatively easy to carry.
It doesn't carry a lot.
It does carry my
necessities, and then some if I am
economical with what I'm putting in here. If I put a large wallet in here then it is not going to carry my sunglasses and some other items.
But if you carry if I carry a smaller wallet or a card case for a wallet then I can carry
some makeup. I can carry my phone, keys, you know and makeup and also
sunglasses. So it's a great bag.
I usually use this as a dinner bag. I don't usually use this as a day bag.
I will use it as a day bag sometimes on the weekends when I don't have as much to carry. For me
this is too small to carry to work.
The only way that I would ever carry this to work is if it were tucked inside a bigger bag,
and I was just going to pull this out
maybe for an evening meeting or a dinner meeting or to go somewhere after work. The drop on this bag does not
allow it to be used as a crossbody. It is not long enough for that.
I'll stand up and do some model shots. This bag can be carried really two ways.
The measurements on this bag are about 10 inches
by about 6 inches by just under 3 inches. I measured this one.
It's about 2 and 3/4 inches. Those are the measurements on this bag.
I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and this is not
anywhere close to being able to be used as a crossbody for me, but it is a very nice
shoulder bag
level. So
you can carry it about but this is not the bag to carry if
you're wanting both hands totally free in a fuss-free bag,
and you want it
crossbody. So you can carry it this way. My favorite way to carry this bag .. and if you do get this bag don't
pull on this now.
Always always open this first
and then
pull on this.
Just so that you're not
you're not hurting the inside of the bag. That would be my advice.
This is my favorite way to carry the bag.
To me that's a little dressier.
I can carry that with a dress or whatever, and then also you can carry it like this, and then you can just carry it down.
So I like carrying it like this most of the time, but on occasion I will carry it the other way ...
as a shoulder bag, and I just think that that's more casual and it can be an interesting variation on carrying this bag.
So now I'll talk about pros and cons of this bag. The pros of this bag are
that I think that it is very elegant and that it can be taken anywhere.
It can be ... this bag truly can be
as casual as you want it to be and as dressy as you want it to be. For some people this is the only
bag they need. If the size of it works for you, I would say that that's a definite pro. For me
another pro is the lambskin. I know people are afraid of the lambskin
I would not be afraid of lambskin. If you treat your bags reasonably
well, the lambskin will last a long time. This bag is twelve years old, and the lambskin has done very well.
If ... the the reason ... one of the reasons, I think it does do well is because of the double flap.
This flap gives the bag more support. If you were to get a single flap Chanel bag
you might then consider the caviar which would be less likely to
dip like this because this is a very soft bag. And I'm sure it will eventually show wear
I'm just not seeing very much of it
now. Another pro is I think that this bag is fairly easy to use.
It is ... the double flap can make it a little more difficult, but overall in this size I think it is
it is fairly easy to use.
I have a different opinion on the Jumbo double flap, but for this bag the double flap does work for me.
I also think it's a pro that you can carry it over your shoulder as a shoulder bag or
double up the straps. And now for the cons. The cons for me are few,
but they are there like they are in almost any kind of bag. For me
the cons are this is a bit small for me.
It's perfect for a dinner bag, but it is a bit small for me to use as an everyday bag.
I would also say that a con is that it can't be used
crossbody. This size bag, the smaller bag, is when I would love to use it as crossbody.
This is a bag that you can take out to dinner, but you don't take it out dancing.
You don't take it out when you need both hands, and you want to move a lot because you're going to be
holding this bag on your body. Those are the only two cons I can think of. Overall
I think that this is a great bag.
The only other thing that I would say is a con is the price of this bag.
Oh my goodness, you know it just goes up all the time and I don't even know what they are today.
I don't think I would buy one today.
What I will tell you though is if you can get one on the second-hand market
I actually think that they're better they were better made
a while ago than they are today, and you'll get a better price.
So I would recommend that if you are interested in this don't discount the second-hand market. However, this one is not for sale.
Well, that's my review on the Chanel
double flap classic bag this in the size medium large in
the
lambskin leather. That's it.
I hope you enjoyed this video, and I hope it helped you in some way. If you would like to see what fits inside this
bag just let me know, and I'll do a video on that.
I can do a video on a couple of different ways that I carry it and what I put inside it depending on where I
am going for that day or for that evening.
I hope you'll subscribe and hit that Bell so we can see each other again. Bye for now!

Canyon Spectral AL 6.0 2018 - A Quick Review - Duration: 2:59.
In this video I am going to give a short review on the Canyon Spectral AL 6.0
bike, which I bought just a couple of weeks ago.
I'll try to cover as many mountain biking disciplines as I can for an all-around type review. And, well
to put it briefly, the Spectral is a great do-it-all bike, but won't that make it equally
bad at everything?
Let's find out!
Of course, the present review is going to be extremely biased as
well, nobody really criticises something they've just spent loads of their own money on.
Well any way, let me do just that
and start with the things that I didn't like about the bike
First, the rear shock seems to bottom out quite easily, even in a drop of
this caliber despite riding with the sag set at only about 20%.
The bottomless feel that Canyon claimed whilst introducing the new frame and shock
combination is something that I have yet to experience.
As always, the devil seems to be in the details in this one too.
This rubber seal of the dropper post cable is driving me nuts.
I had it come off once, only to never get back in properly and it
slips out at the slightest vibration in the start of every ride. How frustrating is that?
Now, for the brighter side of things.
The Canyon's size calculator guessed my frame size to be M, which I have to say, feels spot-on.
I'm 178 centimeters with 82 centimeters inseam.
The bike feels very light and weighs in at around 13,5 kilograms.
It's an extremely agile bike!
One thing I noticed though, is that the stock grips lose a ton of grip when wet.
On the trails, the Rockshox suspension and 2.6 inch tires allow adamant trust for traction and
boost confidence. Perhaps even a little bit too much for myself as an intermediate cyclist.
Of course, I went and rammed the bike into a ceiling.
Yeah.
A ceiling.
I checked and discovered no fractures or dents around the impact area.
All it really needed was a pat on the belly and the machine was good to go again!
The plastic sleeve that contains the cables doubles as additional protection for the frame.
Note the middle pattern that probably works to even out
the distribution of the impact forces inside the sleeve.
And what this another crash left me with was only a bent front brake rotor,
which was easily bent back to working order.
And I also had to re-index the rear derailleur.
But with so little damage, the bike seems like a very sturdy build
Perfect.
Additionally, someone told me that they were worried about the weld quality of the bike,
and that they would stand out intolerably especially with the red frame.
But, to me, the welds seem well done
Hi.

Latest Official Phoenix OS - Review [ Android Gamers On PC ] | 2GB RAM - Duration: 5:02.
Hey Guys, How was doing?.This is kali in the continiousion of in-depth look.
So, 15days back, I installed the Phoenix OS on my PC and I am using it for some cool things.
Also , I made video about downloading and installing this phoenix os on any PC.
So, Do watch if you haven't already and you have the english subtitles for the clear
picture of this video. That's all, Let's we get into the video.
//intro// First a fall I try to explain what is phoenix
os actually.Well, this is like android OS for or created for PC.
Technically speaking its android x86 project which means the android on pc.both the explaination
looks similar.I know.
This Phoenix Os has lots of feature even the mobile android doesn't have.
First cool feature is the multi windows or multi tasking feature like windows.
It's really practically very useful one when ever your are doing some copy paste work
and downloading.
And the second the most likely feature is The Storage.
I will tell you exactly what it means and how it important.
Well, just think, if you are having a phone which has 16 GB internel memory.Normally most
of the mid range have it.
And if you want to download the file which has 10Gb ot even 8GB.But, you internel only
have 7GB or something after all the wastages.
Then what you do?
Ofcoarse, you choose externel storage which has more memory.
But, we are using the FAT 32 FS in externel , So, we can't copy the single file which
is more than the 4GB.
Here, This Phoenix OS comes in.From this OS you can access your entire hard disc and download
the file how large it is, no worries.
Also, in windows, downloading the largefile in browser is not the good way.The file may
have viruses or the chances to get crash the downloading file is really really high. But
here, we are we can use uc browser or opera mini what ever, it gives really cool downloading
experience.
The final feature that I know and its recently added becoz of the android battle ground gamers.
It's Game Helper.
This Game Helper app helps you to play games using your cute awesome keyboard and mouse.
SO, This platform gives the best experience while gaming.
Also, Its Free no Crack and all.
And I have to tell this This OS has the ROOT option inbuild .SO, you cando some cool stuffs.
Piece of cake.
SO, These are all the some advantages that you will get after installing this OS in your
PC.
My main reason is , I downloaded this OS mostly for downloading files.I like downloading file
in android.
I feel safe in Android.
In My case I am using my laptop , which has 2 GB of RAM and AMD A4 2.2 Ghz Quad Core processor. This
is lowend PC and low specification device. You can't use any virtual box soft or Android
emulator. But, this one.this Phoenix OS, working damn cool.
No doubts. The best experience of sweet Nouget.
And I tried to Play PUBG, I played and It's working with some little bit of lags.
But, I hope if you install the lollipop version of this OS, may incerase the performance.Just
the Hope I don't know actually.
But, Here the Garena Free Fire is working fantastic, marvellous marvel infinity war.
Which means really cool.
After all these things, In right side corner you have three navbar keys like android and
near that you have the taskbar.
Which helps you to enable the hardware and software also you can see the notification
of your device there itself.
By long pressing the taskbar, you can customize status bar.
And one of the cool thing in this OS is setting. You have the featured or custoimized setting tab
by the Phoenix Team.If you get or feel complicated , you can change it to normal android by enabling
the naïve setting option.
By clicking the Phoenix OS logo, you can get the app drawer and option to shutdown ,restart
, lock or sleep your machine.
Also, you can install the application from the backup which you have in your storage.
Other than this, most of the thing is like normal android.
I hope, we discussed most of the cool things about this phoenix OS in user perspective.
So, that what about this indepth look on phoenix OS , and tell your view and opinion in the
comment section.
Hope you enjoyed , if yes, juat leave the like and subscribe to this channel to get
more content like this.
Thankyou for watching, I will see you in my next good one.KOTMTO

Shaving – Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power vs Schick Quattro Power Review - Duration: 12:59.
Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power coming up!
What's up, Guys? Paul D'Onofrio back
with you from GroomReviews where we're getting you comfortable, confident and
clean in grooming. So, I'm here back in my childhood home and I wanted to come back
here to see if I have any my old stuff in the drawers in my bathroom because my
parents like to keep everything that I had from 15 years ago. I wanted to see what
was in there and see if there's anything I could compare to what I'm using and
believe it or not this is not a setup or anything I just found this Schick
Quattro Power in the box from 2005 and what I've brought with me was this
Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power which says 2016 on it. This is out in the stores, this I
don't know if it even is out in the stores. I'm sure it's on Amazon but who knows
who's even selling this. You know, now that I got both here and they're both power
units you know why not compare them? Why not see what's happened over the span of
you know 10 plus years. I mean this one's got four blades on it, this one's got
five. I don't know if that's a marketing technique, I mean how many times you got
to really go over the same spot. You know they both got the battery in it so it
can vibrate and they say that extra vibration gets the hair to stand up. We're
gonna see what it does. Every so often they'll come out with these fancy
attachments, you know, this one's got the flexball on it, you know, to help you
move side-to-side. I've heard mixed reviews on that, they can move this way
that way. You know if you're shaving, shave down, you shave down. You don't have
to go all over the place unless your hair is growing all over the place. They
both have a guard on there that you know for sensitive skin or give you extra
lubrication. It's all marketing. We don't really know until we try it in her face,
see how it feels, are we getting cut, we getting nicked does it
feel smooth. So, we're just gonna try it out. For pricing I went to Walmart to check
this out. It was only $9.97. I picked up some of this Gillette Fusion ProGlide
Shaving Gel. It's 2-in-1. It's got the Alpine clean scent to it. It's for
sensitive skin and this was about $4.50. For these two, under $15. Not bad but
we're gonna see what it can do. You know they only give you one blade in
this box. There's a little precision trimmer they tell you about in the back.
It says lubrication before and after the blades. We got this. I'm gonna do both of these,
test them out and I'm gonna see which one feels smoother. Right side, we're gonna go
with the Gillette Fusion Five Proshield Power. Left side, we're gonna go with
the Schick Quattro Power. My left, my right. You might be looking at it and saying
why are you testing these two? This one's not even out, this one is. I'm seeing how
much the technology has really changed. I want to see if this is giving you any
added value over these years. All right guys so I'm just gonna pop this thing out.
There it is.
Let's open up the other one.
Power button. Let's see if this one actually has a battery in it
Nope.
Yes! Let's get the shaving cream. Some people put too much on they go
crazy. When you put too much of the shaving cream on there it just kind of
like loads, you know, loads up these blades really quickly. You get a lot of
gunk on there. You've go to rinse it off constantly. My recommendation would be to
use just a light layer on there. You see some people would be out to here but
there's no reason to do that. If you find you need more you can always add a
little bit more on there. Press the little button on top, squirt a little bit in
your hand and watch. You just take this, start rubbing it in until it's all
foamy. You just bring it to your face
See that's all I used. I just did that one little squirt and I covered the whole
thing in a thin layer. Got good coverage. We're gonna start with the Schick and then
we'll give the Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power a chance to prove itself at the end. So I got the
Schick. I'm gonna turn it on... ready to go
Now I'm gonna check how much is building up. Got quite a lot of
buildup in there, so I'm just gonna rinse that off. These power units you can
put in the water. And my hair, it's, I don't know if you could see it before but it's
actually you know growing in a little bit thicker than maybe most people would
have. They might have like finer stubble on there that's not as thick as what I have
See now, now you can really see it. So I'm gonna rinse this off, keep going.
Again, I gotta keep rinsing this one cause it keeps building up.
All right, so there you go, that's the Schick Quattro Power. Give it a feel for the
first time. Yep, that's smooth. I gotta say I do like this Gillette Fusion Proglide Alpine Clean shaving gel.
Leaves the skin feeling nice like cool sensation to it - it's got a nice smell.
Problem with this one you can just see it it just builds up the hair really
fast on there. Now, I know I have a lot of hair that I'm trying to take off of
there so it's normal because you have these blades that are so tight together
that's gonna build up. You gotta keep rinsing it but we're gonna see how this
now compares to the Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power. Turn it on.
Let's check the build up. So I can already feel as I'm going right now
like it's going smooth because it's just riding along the hair that's sitting on
there. It's not cutting anything more you gotta rinse it off. I do have to say that first clean off
with with the Fusion 5, it actually came off a lot easier than that Schick one. I
guess that's maybe an improvement in the technology over the years
Again, gotta stop. Got that buildup.
So I'm gonna go in and add a little tiny bit more cream underneath because it's
taking a few more passes than needed just cuz the hair was so thick in there.
Just a tiny bit, tiny, it's like nothing. Put it on there.
So there you go on that side. Let me feel it. It's pretty smooth. Unless you go and
start shaving up you're always gonna feel a little bit going that way. I just
put some more shaving gel on here because I want to show you guys that you
can go up with it. For people who aren't very comfortable with shaving with a
razor I wouldn't recommend doing it because it
feels like it's about to cut into your, probably your face or your cheek or take
something off but I'm gonna show you because if you do go against it you will
get that super you know really smooth both ways feel. But, I personally don't
need to do that. I'm fine going down feeling it smooth going down but I'm
gonna show you guys right now so. You can probably hear it so like right in here
you know you start to feel it tugging at it and you're like, is it gonna cut my
skin what's the deal so
This is how it used to be. Go down it feels smooth, go up, I don't know if you can hear it.
See go over here and you can feel that there's a difference it's it's more smooth both
ways, going down and going up. It's not comfortable shaming that way because
it really feels like it's tugging at you, you know you're lifting up these
hairs and it's tugging at the skin and you can feel it just like you know it's
pulling in away that's not that comfortable. I recommend going in, shave
it down first see, how you like that. If it feels fine, if you don't have a
problem with it, okay. But if you're sitting there and you're
like yeah I don't I don't want it to feel that way going up okay
at that point go in put on some more gel and go up. You're getting that same look
it's not like I can't still see you know some of this stubble. I'm seeing the
stubble on here you know It's under the skin but you can see that
darkness still see darkness over here, so you know, we're not getting like you know
like the color of my skin up here where the beard is. You're still gonna see stuff. As far
as this technology you know that the, with the flexible head where it moves back and forth like
this you know, I mean, it's fine. Where those original razors were kind of just
like fixed in position and you had to kind of like move it all around this one
has more flexibility up and down. But this one, you know it's got the up and
down and it's got the side-to-side. If you need it, you need it, if you don't, you
don't. It's not it's not that big of a deal to me because the Schick didn't have
it and I think the Schick worked just as good as the Gillette Fusion 5 Proshield Power. They both have the
power feature so that's nothing new. You know there's five blades on this. It
did it did have a better time rinsing off so I think the hairs are getting
through there easier than the Schick was so they must have separated the blades a
little bit. As far as the shave goes, um, you know they both feel exactly the same.
So, four blades, five blades, I don't think it really made any difference it's just
that the technology today, this is what people are going with. These little
lubrication guards that on there, those are fine. They help I can feel it
right now if I have nothing on here. You know it's keeping it smooth not going
nuts cutting into my skin so. Another thing on this unit is this little
precision trimmer I guess it's on the back. I guess if I had something over here I'd be able
to come into it like this. It's a good option if you need that little more precision.
You don't want to use, you know cuz this thing's big, so if you come in here you
got five of these things going at it, I guess that's what they're saying you're
coming, you're cutting with five. You go on the other side you just got that one
little blade in there, you can find the spot, you just try and you know go right
after it. This is the first time I used it so I'm not sure how quickly these blades
are gonna run out, how quickly you're gonna have to replenish them because
that's always where they get you. They get you, buy the unit you get the first
one or two for free maybe when you start. If you want to cut down on having to get
them too often, what you can do is make sure when you're done with this clean it
off good and then you dry it really well. You want to make sure you get all the
water and moisture out of there. The unit won't rust up you know won't get corroded.
So you can get it a little bit longer life out of this. For $10 you know
I'd definitely try it out. You can find it on Amazon. I'll give you guys a link, help me out going
through there if you want to purchase one of these. But as I said, you know, try
it out. I wouldn't go nuts with getting replacement blades yet. You know, see what
it's like for you. I'm gonna be testing out more of these as we go along in the
future. Different models, different brands so this is kind of the first time I'm
moving away from the Philips Norelco, now I'm trying a Gillette product. You know
it's a decent product but as I said it's been probably 10 plus years since
I've used one and comparing it to this which was you know 2005 there wasn't
much of a difference I'm sure you're gonna see other things that come out in
the future maybe six blade, eight blades, sixteen blades, who knows. I think it
might be overkill eventually I mean this, 5 could be overkill right now
because this one has four. So when there was a Mach 3 that was out people loved the
Mach 3. I had the Mach 3. I remember using that. I didn't have a problem with that
either. It's personal preference. Test it out. See what you think. This is my
personal review of what I think of this product. If you haven't already I
recommend you go into my previous video especially those who have maybe thicker
beards or trying to get like a shave in here going with the stubble. I use the
Philips Norelco OneBlade in two different videos. The first one I left my
beard thicker and just kind of trimmed it down. The second one I go and I take
off basically with every attachment I go down until
I have this goatee. So that's where I'm at now. That's why I'm able to come in
here now and show you what a razor can do. So, that's it. I hope you enjoyed this
video and you got something out of it. If you did, if you could like, comment,
subscribe I'd appreciate it. It goes a long way in helping the channel. We'd
like to continue to keep coming out with more videos that are helpful to you guys,
new products. Have additional people coming on that can test different parts
of the body as I mentioned in my previous video. So, I appreciate you guys
being here. Thanks again and I'll catch you next time

'Sicario: Day of the Soldado' Film Review - Duration: 2:58.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado, a sequel, continues the dark and intense story of how far government
operatives will go to protect its citizens.
It's only a shame that the narrative didn't include Emily Blunt, who played a proper strait-laced
FBI agent in the first film.
Her character, Kate Macer, was the innocent sheep in the land of wolves, providing a sharp
contrast between her and her colleagues, CIA operative Matt Graver and hitman Alejandro,
who don't exactly play by the rules.
Without Kate Macer, no one's there to promote honor and integrity against the brutal tactics
that the US government is willing to take to eliminate any violent threat, which this
time happens to be ISIS who is trying to sneak through the US-Mexican border.
Unfortunately, while the ultimate objective is to extinguish the radical extremists once
and for all, the CIA's chosen plan doesn't seem to be the best option because it forces
the film to move away from ISIS (the real target) and distractingly focus on Mexican
cartels and their negative influences and effects on ordinary people.
Although, viewers can sense how difficult and frustrating it is to save people's lives
while doing everything by the book.
That being said, Sicario: Day of the Soldado is not a total let down.
In fact, it still has many of the qualities that made its predecessor an excellent film,
including heart-pounding action scenes, complex characters, great cinematography and a thrilling
film score that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
I give Sicario: Day of the Soldado four stars.
My name is Carlos Steven Carty and thanks for watching.

STILA MAGNIFICENT METALS KITTEN KARMA | Full Face Tutorial, Review - Duration: 13:02.
Good morning! Today we are reviewing and giving a mini tutorial on the glitter and glow liquid
eyeshadow from Stila in Kitten Karma. Stila is of course a cruelty free brand um this
shade is a very beautiful rose gold with silver glitter inside. It's not picking up on the
camera too well, but the silver is quite dominant, so it's kind of like a rose gold um surface
with a lot of silver glitter inside. On Sephora.com this was twenty-four US dollars for zero point
one five ounces. On... I got this at douglas.at and it was twenty-seven Euros for four point
five milliters so I find this to be very, very expensive. I do think it's very beautiful
and it does work well on the eye and even on your lips and maybe even on your... um
what do you call it? Cheekbones but it's very expensive for a basically a liquid eyeshadow.
But of course you don't have the hassle with glitter glue putting glitter on top so it
is a very um easy way to apply something glittery. I do also feel like it has a higher staying
power than normal glitter would do. So what is this? Sephora say it's a brilliant and
long wearing liquid glitter eyeshadow oh wow intonation there, eyeshadow. Not a question.
So what does it do. It says that it's the perfect blend of pearl and glitter and that
it glides on effortlessly um it dries down smoothly and it.. you have a maximum sparkle
with minimum fallout. I can attest to that, that of course the application is so much
easier and you have no fallout virtually um and when you use of course a glitter glue
with glitter and a brush you do tend to have quite a bit of fallout. This product has no
parabens, no sulfates and no phthalates ates... phthalates. I googled that how to say that
and I still think I'm saying it wrong, but I tired. I am currently wearing on my face
the MAC studio fix fluid in NW13. I am trying out the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter in
Opal so that's why I'm already highlighted and I kind of have a glowy look and I did
set my face with the Lavera translucent powder. I'm gonna do a a very natural brow with this
so I'm just gonna use the Gimme Brow from Benefit in Medium/Deep. This is super super
old um but for some reason it just will not finish. It still smells fine so I still use
it um so don't judge me ok?! I cannot throw everything away just because the expiration
date has been reached, I am not that rich. A great dupe for this is um the Essence Make
Me Brow, it costs like a Euro or two and it pretty much does exactly the same thing so
that is what I'm gonna replace this with when I run out of this one. Wait you cant even
see what I'm doing! Let me zoom you in. Better? Better. So as I have pretty good eyebrows
naturally I have quite a few hairs, I mean they're white so I have to dye them but I
do have quite a bit of hair so this is definitely enough for me on a day where I don't want
to spend a lot of time doing my eyebrows and having like instagram eyebrows, just kind
of a natural look. Here I have the Claudia Schiffer Artdeco collaboration contouring
powder um I like to use this as a bronzer. I'm using this Zoeva one o one luxe face definer
and I'm doing basically kind of like a contour that I am blending up a little bit, so I'm
just doing a very, very light color. Also doing a little bit of this on my forehead
and on my nose. Also underneath my chin here a little bit just to kind of try and hide
that double chin a little more. Now I'm gonna take the NARS blush in Orgasm and here I have
the one two seven luxe sheer cheek from Zoeva and I'm just gonna give myself a little bit
of a flush, nothing major, since I'm already kind of glowy and I am wearing glitter as
well. I'm gonna line my lips with the MAC lip pencil in Soar. It is kind of like a lip
color but with very pinkish undertones
and now I'm taking this Essence Ultra Last instant color in zero eight lipstick sorry
about that bang which is a dupe for the MAC Please Me in my opinion. And in the center
of my lips I'm putting a little little bit just a tiny bit of this Ample Pink MAC Lipglass
I believe it is, plushglass. This is what it looks like
and now onto the eyes. What we've all been waiting for. I'm gonna start with highlighting
my brow bone a little bit with MAC's Shroom, just placing this underneath my eyebrow, just
to intensify that highlight that I already have because of the Becca Shimmering Skin
Perfecter. Now I'm taking this two two three petite eye blender from Zoeva in the color
Omega from MAC and I'm just gonna contour my eye a little bit with this. I'm going above
the crease and I'm drawing a line above the crease. Now
I'm gonna take a blending brush the two two seven luxe soft definer from Zoeva and I'm
just gonna blend this out a little bit. Ok so the way it wants me to use this is um by
applying a little bit on the lash line also in the center of the lid and then I can use
my finger or or a firm brush tapping out the edges to blend them out. You can either wear
this alone or wear this with eyeshadow underneath. I'm gonna wear it alone there because I want
you to see the true color of the eyeshadow. I'm also gonna do it a little bit differently
though, I am gonna blend it further up than just my lash line because otherwise you won't
be able to see that I'm wearing any when my eyes are open. So I'm taking this Stila and
I'm putting this all over my movable lid here. I'm gonna do one layer first
and now I'm using that same shader brush I used for the um highlight, the two three nine
from MAC and I'm blending out the edges. As you can tell it's really easy to blend out.
I love how on the camera it actually looks wet. That's very beautiful. Ok now that I've
blended it out like that I'm gonna go in with another layer, where did I put it? Here. I'm
gonna go in with another layer but this time I'm not gonna put it as far up. Uh why is
this so expensive it's so beautiful. As you can tell it is super easy to apply there is
no fallout whatsoever um you do have to watch out like here I went a little bit too far
down but it does dry down quite quickly, well it's not dry quite yet so if you have a problem
with creasing maybe look down for a while until it is dry but it's just it's such a
beautiful color I really really love it. And that's actually all I'm gonna do to the eyes
because I feel like the eyeshadow speaks for itself I'm gonna put some black mascara on,
this is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara and that's it! Here you see what it looks
like when it's not so close up um it does make a huge difference um I'm in love with
this makeup I have to tell you. I mean this is I probably won't go like just um to the
supermarket like this but this is definitely something like if I go on a date uh with my
boyfriend or I don't know, you know what I mean, like just something more special. Ok
so I've been wearing this makeup and this eyeshadow for about six hours and let me zoom
you in a little bit on my eyes um I'm not sure you can see that but I do have a lot
of um glitter now um well not a lot but quite a bit underneath my eye here um even going
down as far, maybe if I do this, no you can't really see that, hmm that's a shame, you're
just gonna have to trust me um I do have glitter pretty much, maybe if I go closer? Pretty
much everywhere it's not terrible though, like it's not worth... worse um than wearing
glitter with a glitter glue in my opinion unless I haven't used the glitter glue um
unless I don't want you to see to much ah I got stuff in my background. I am a human
being ok? Um, so what was I gonna say? Yeah, this is it's not terrible fallout like of
course it's gonna transfer a little bit. The color stayed up really well it is still very
intense on my eyelid um it's still very, very beautiful so I definitely approve of this
product. I think it is too expensive honestly but if you want to save yourself the hassle
of using glitter glue and of mixing in an eyeshadow and if you like really like one
of the colors go ahead and splurge on this but it, price point too high really. I'm just
really, really lazy so for me this is like a product I'd use even though it's expensive.
I don't feel like I really need to recap anything here. Um I think it's beautiful, it is easy
to apply um it does have fallout after a while but nothing too too major and it's too expensive.
I hope that you liked this review, if you did you can always um subscribe right here,
you can leave me a thumbs up you can also hit that notification bell I make new videos
every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and I really hope I'll see you next time,
bye bye!

you hello again I'm Nick Haines and
welcome to the program that connects the dots on the news
of the week in this place we call home rolling up their
sleeves to analyze the week's top local stories from the call
newspaper senior writter Eric Wesson from KMBC nine news
chief political reporter Micheal Mahoney and from forty
one action news cat Reid I'm from the pages of your Kansas
city star all Dave Helling now for many of us the biggest
local story of the week was the brutally hot weather if you
live out in the least summit area it was damage from a
tornado that touched down at the lake Lotawana causing
extensive storm damage a storm of a different kind wreaking
havoc in the Kansas city mayors race last week it was rumored
this week it is fact former US Senate candidate Almanzor the
secretary of state Jason Kander making it official he's running
for mayor I want to make sure that
everybody in Kansas city feels that they don't have to move
across town or move out of town in order for their family to
have a chance of success also this week city councilman
Quinton lucas joining the growing list of people who now
see themselves in aly James's job meanwhile city
councilwoman Jolie justice to some viewed as the front runner
in the race quits and endorses Kander while initially I had
some disappointment that this wasn't going to be my immediate
path I I quickly pivoted to what's in the best interest of
Kansas city and I put Kansas city first and I'm excited to
keep doing that I noticed you cat Reid because
they'll video that but arms is Jason Kander considered now the
frontrunner in this race or is that a short term shallow
analysis of this race we're song way out but he is
definitely considered one of the front runners I would say
his entry into the race was that a shock to all including
councilman Jolie justice and councilman Quinton Lucas who
said when they called him latter when he called them last
week they were totally taken aback had no idea that he was
going to consider that and so we see Jolie justice the city
councilman who some people viewed as the front runner
leaving the race quilts lose his because of Jason Kander
entering this race Micheal everybody that didn't have a
lot of money in this race and was hoping to be able to fund
raise there are some candidates in here that do have money out
Scott Taylor has over three hundred thousand dollars Lucas
has one hundred twenty five some of the other candidates on
the city council do not have that kind of my of money a
couple of private businessmen better in this race like Steve
Miller also have it what's really important here is to
make sure that this is still a campaign and not a coronation
and I think there's a rush to judgment here that bank teller
Jason and we and we're done that campaigns the reporters
are going to cover this and the voters that are going to make
this decision need to continue to ask questions about some
very important issues that the next mayor is going to have to
deal with like violent crime like the sales tax like
affordable housing and a half dozen others that probably I
don't know about right out right now this rush to
coronation is a bad move for Kansas city and Jason Kander is
one of the candidates he's not the mayor let's put out by the
way the the full screen you have all of the candidates I
mean they're on nine currently in this race but date Dave
Helling the some people would be Jason
Kander though as being of a partisan individual heat in a
big Democrat poster child individual who has been going
after the Republican Party going after Donald Trump if
he's going to be having to go to Jefferson city to ask for if
he was elected mayor to ask for legislation support of four
supportive of Kansas city how is that going to be viewed then
given his background well he might argue that it would be
helpful to have a background in Jefferson city and he was of
course a state representative but remember Nick when he left
the secretary of state's office he delivered a speech before
the General Assembly that irritated just about everyone
just blasted him on voting rights so it'll be tough but
sly James doesn't get above you know a lot of audiences down in
Jefferson city that result in actual legislation so I'm not
sure that's a big qualifying factor I do want to mention a
little bit Mike talked about some of the folks who might
have been hurt by this announcement I think Phil Glenn
was one of those most set back in fact we were led to believe
that Phil going got into the race in part at the urging of
Jason Kander and their friends or were friends and that Phil
Gramm is quite angry that Jason Kander has than and S.
and surprisingly got into the race but I do think that's the
same constituency that the same aged sort of that fourth
District Court or vote that they were both going for so I
don't expect him to get out anytime soon and my because
what we need to listen to everybody but that's one of the
guys that was hurt Eric and I agree with Mike to I wouldn't
jump out and call Jason Kander the four runner or one of the
four runners because one when he ran in the Senate race
against blind he didn't do
overwhelmingly well and Kansas city that's number one number
two I think that out of all the candidates that you have you
have Quinn locus who's run as city wide election before and
did pretty well because he was elected versus the other
candidates who haven't run city wide jamais Reid has done well
in the third district voting wise but can he run a city wide
campaign that's something there remains to be seen Phil Gramm
has an issue as well and it's been rumored throughout that he
might try to go for four district at large seat rather
than the mayor's race because him and Jason Kander is
relationship so Jason Quinn look as does have crossover
appeal north to the river some places south of the river so I
think it's going to be a pretty interesting rice and Scott
Taylor has money but Scott Taylor doesn't have that
personality or charisma I did one out I think we cannot
forget that the Kansas city electorate is very savvy and
very keyed into wanting someone who understands the local
issues and has been here and that is one of the obstacles
that Jason Kander faces he's been traveling the country with
and his group let America vote to combat voter suppression and
he's been very popular with his podcast nationally but it's
going to be talking about those issues talking about the
terminal talking about street car extension talking about his
vision for Kansas city specifically that voters are
really good I'm not so very different skill than being a
secretary of state in Missouri all pushing a button along with
a hundred other people in the Missouri house of
representatives Micheal Wright and that's one of the reasons
that he it was interested and got into this race is because
there's nothing wrong with it with political ambition looking
for for say he needed executive experience in a serious fashion
forty runs for governor down there down the line in the
United States Senate or go or whatever the other things Jason
Kander in that Senate race in twenty sixteen perform very
very well Eric in can't be in Kansas city he did he did he
did very well on that and will in the black home well I'm
talking about Kansas city and the other thing to remember
about this is Jason Kander would be a senator the United
States Senate right now had it not been for the trop landslide
in the state of Missouri white blood road of the Donald Trump
coattails to a three point win in in twenty sixteen from Kerry
Missouri by nineteen trump on that race or blood run that
race but just three you know while some may be concerned
that Jason Kander would be too partisan to be an effective
nets like the current officeholder doesn't embroiled
himself and divisive national issues made James joining
hundreds on the country club posture over the weekend at a
rally against separating immigrant parents from their
children separated from their family
it is it is
it is the mayor also telling the
crowd to seize the issue was Kevin so city schools but what
role does Kansas city play what really is a federal issue here
cat well I think that it it all comes down to pressure from
constituents and we do have representative cleaver and
obviously on the Kansas side we have Yoder who has that the
keys to the money in some cases and when it comes to homeland
security so I think that those are the ways that Kansas city
can put pressure or influence the outcome of this you know I
also noticed that they'd Kansas city started an editorial about
asking government Colyer and other state officials in in the
state of Kansas to also speak out against this and look into
this what is the role of state officials in Kansas in this
issue foresaw like all states Kansas and Missouri have some
stake in what we decide on the border in Kansas there of some
of the kids that were being separated from their families
were actually being held or captor how whatever verb you
want to use into PK in a private facility and we were
anxious to make sure that they were looked after well and that
the state had some oversight role in terms of the way those
children were being but held in that facility so that that's
important to almost but but I would say that the fact that
mayor James is talking about this national issue reflects a
little bit his own national ambitions eyes are to run for
president but he does have a role in the national Democratic
Party in some ways that's why a lot of people by the way Nick
expects like James to endorse shortly support tracing Kander
point for Micheal where the rule of Kansas in housing these
unaccompanied kids the the about fifty than the river the
villages group home in to pick up is very very limited and
it's limited because they don't have any contractual control
over this the villages contracted with the department
of health and Human Services the house about fifty kids that
were unaccompanied when they crossed the border and that
they are being held there and most of them are there and have
been there before this crisis erupted the this spring so when
the governor says we're going to make sure that the the
villages comply with all the state laws
regarding the group Holmes this is a facility that has been
around since the nineteen sixties it was created by Karl
Menninger if they have passed repeated inspections by the
state state of Kansas it's nice to say yeah we're gonna look at
him but the the the amount of state controller is extremely
limited because of federal contract Kansas city is playing
hostess went to the national right to life convention the
Oakland park convention center the stage for the country's
largest anti abortion organization over the years the
convention has attracted some of the nation's best known
political names from John McCain Mitt Romney Marco Rubio
and Ted Cruz and you'd think with abortion family back in
the headlines with the retirement of Supreme Court
justice Anthony Kennedy the stakes have never been higher
so why is it that the most prominent speakers this hero
locals Kansas governor Jeff Colyer and Kansas secretary of
state Kris Kobach the reason that the network national right
to life convention is in overland park this year has to
do almost exclusively with Kansas abortion politics there
is a law that was passed by the legislature in twenty fifteen
that bans a certain procedure during second trimester
abortions in the use of surgical instruments to remove
a remove the fetus it has never been put in place because it's
the it's been tied up in the court the Kansas state Supreme
Court has had this case since March of twenty seventeen more
than a year ago and one of the reasons Kander and for life
press the national right to life organization was bring
this to Kansas because we want to call attention to the
situation and if we lose this court case and they expect to
lose the court case into taken from the High Court if we lose
this case then there's going to be concerned effort in the
state of Kansas to pass a right to life amendment to the state
constitution the fact this happened that this convention
opened up one day a after the Kennedy announcement of his
retirement is serendipitous and energized that convention as
you can imagine what this is about Kansas abortion politics
the fact that the national right to life folks are in
Kansas you had Kris guide Jeff Colyer the government can't
Kris Kobach absent from the speakers list was Kevin Yoder
Dave Helling the Kansas congressman who lives in
Oakland pockets act the oval talk convention center he has a
national one hundred percent rating from the national right
to life convention why wasn't he caught the ball it may be
because in the third district he doesn't want to draw a lot
of attention to that issue if the third district race
revolves around abortion come especially now with the change
in the court it might cause him a problem with some voters
might help with others but it's extraordinarily important that
Kansans and for that matter Missourians pay attention to
abortion related politics now more than ever before precisely
because of Anthony Kennedy's retirement because it's likely
if the court ever deals with abortion it will tell the state
your free now to do what you want to do and at that point
the governor the lieutenant governor of the state
legislators will be enormously important in that debate and so
everyone should pay attention to that and so how is that
decision by the Supreme Court justice to retire changing the
nature of our local campaigns here
what will go ahead cat many like ours
and don't ever do that to an Irishman
this will a raise the profile of the of
pro choice pro life debate in the Missouri Senate race and
Josh Helling made some indications in this past week
or so that he really wants it to be now one of the focuses of
this campaign the Supreme Court beta vacancy interestingly
enough if the Republicans have their way in the Senate that
they could you will be filled before a before election day he
went out holy did our last week and said Claire McCaskill I
want to debate you on the vacancy about the Supreme Court
and Supreme Court issues ironically Holly is not agreed
to any debates with his primary opponents full of in front of
the August primary while he's busy serving as Attorney
General he does have a day job okay and
so look for this this has been set all of the
all week long he probably heard earlier tonight here on channel
nineteen Republicans galvanized over judicial issues and have
been for this entire generation whether
or not Democrats get energized by it because they feel that
roe versus the right weight is at rest remains to be seen I
think what's important for people to remember is I don't
think that roe versus Wade is going to be overturned in one
fell swoop but they will try to attack it incrementally and in
fact the other thing to remember is in places like the
state Kansas and Missouri in other words abortion
restrictions have been either put in place
over the course of roe versus Wade the that law has been
narrowed you should've interrupted in
one thing that I think we need to keep an eye on Susan the
Kansas gubernatorial race because Kris Kobach who spoke
yesterday and obviously governor Colyer said as well
that Kris Kobach did tell the star that he supports the very
controversial heartbeat legislation and said that he
would like to see that he supports as similar that being
an active which is and requiring no acting in your
heart beat not allowing the abortion he was treated like a
rock star on during the last presidential election but how
much clout does Bernie Sanders have now this week the Vermont
senator endorses rent well that was trying to unseat Kansas
congressman Kevin Yoder in a crowded democratic primary send
this makes me feel endorsements and rarely makes alien
contested primaries doesn't support help or hurt went well
does he runs against teacher told Newman technology non
nonprofit executive Micheal McAllen bank the Soviet
williams' attorney Shelly stated Angie society running
its Yoder a two years ago what about it Bryan to a book
ability send this endorsement at Eric he has a base still has
that millennial base and if people still believe in him and
people still follow him so I think it's a good move I don't
know whether to help that Kander to get the voter turn
out but I would have his support cat wanted to run for
office I will say this I don't think that in Yoder sisters Mrs
great endorsement for and I don't don't make that much of a
difference for from all nine to get this endorsement because
the and this is very far laughed at you need something a
little bit more moderate if you're gonna challenge Yoder
what's really interesting about this to me is the fact that the
the Sanderson Dawson was not the only one that was made on
welders behalf this week the young woman from from the Bronx
and Brooklyn that pulled off the upset in the New York state
primaries Alexandria because he'll Cortez endorsed Brett
welder is well talked about in on an interview with MSNBC this
week and said that welder and she and some other Liberal
Democrats very progressive Democrats are part of the slate
of called what's called justice Democrats and they are all for
the Bernie Sanders like agenda in terms of of public the
public policy so while I'm on the left hand the democratic
primary is going to be a basic primary even even in the Kansas
third you know having a Bernie Sanders endorsement having the
hot democratic ticket the flavor of the week at the very
least endorsing you don't hurt and can I add to that too what
they'll do is they'll go out after those voters that haven't
voted and nobody talks to that'll be the difference in
you star my other comment to about the lady under back here
right now already another push and wait
to restrict judges in Kansas this after the state Supreme
Court rules this week that the legislature is still not
providing enough money for schools despite adding all the
Holmes billion dollars in new funding to the last section the
branch of seven justices argued they need to add more cash to
compensate for inflation but the request for more dollars is
prompting legislative leaders to revive talk of a
constitutional amendment blocking the courts from
interfering with school spending how would that work
Dave Helling well you'd need two thirds of both houses of
the state legislature to approve the constitutional
amendment to put it on the ballot and then a simple
majority of voters no one thinks that's going to
happen before November's so any change would have to come after
the court has ordered of the legislature to come up with
this additional money but I I think it's just a lot of wasted
energy Nick frankly because first of all you're not going
to get two thirds of the vote at least with this legislature
for portraying the although the the state is very close to
where it needs to be on its schools the court in essence
said Hey trustees figures for inflation and you'll be fine
that could be another fifty hundred million dollars a year
there's money to do that are close to money to do that
they're talking about gambling taxing gambling on sports
events in Kansas maybe the internet sales tax the I think
reasonable people in the Middle think they can get the courts
endorsement and that will short circuit this idea of changing
the constitution Dave for the first time is right okay and do
the best I can very quickly this is not a new
idea in Kansas this was discussed two sessions ago it
came up in the tail end of this last session and it didn't go
anywhere and Dave's right this is really tough to amend the
state constitution and it's going to be a long shot and
won't have until at least twenty twenty a week after
three Kansas city residents are shot dead by police in the same
afternoon the Kansas city police department announces
they put in a bit to quip offices with body cameras
there's no time table offered to purchase the cameras on
there's no money for them so is this just an effort to show
community members of the police department is doing something
Eric probably I think cleaver has set aside some federal
money and they were going to go after that money but is
definitely something that raises eyebrows yet to people
that Barney Alice plaza one had to go on the other one didn't
they both wind updated wise the victim day and so I think the
body camera out xcelerated that conversation to get them to do
something about it two points on this one I think that one
thing that gets lost in this discussion is it's not just the
cost of buying the cameras it's the story
that is a major financial component and can be
logistically difficult for departments to figure out that
the second thing I want to bring up is even if they do
have cameras I think that one thing that'll be informed to
watch in the future is how often add the camera footage is
released because in other states that has been and to say
quickly that cat is Reid storage is an expense but it's
also an excuse because police departments all over the
country are adding body camera somehow they figured out the
riddle of being able to pay for an of storage and for the
instruments themselves Kansas city is resisting this the
police department is resisting at the line officers don't want
to do it and that's why it's suddenly cost so much money to
suggest that the Kansas city police department can't find
efficiencies to pay for this important tool what about two
hundred fifty million dollar but yeah somewhere off the mark
imagine getting hired for a new job and when the boss tells the
rest of the staff you coming they turn around and start
doing something that's not saying no would crap out loud
how how would that make you feel well that's what happened
this week as the Kansas city council school board announces
its pick for a new superintendent
Jules laws the board's picked to replace
superintendent simply Elaine is doctor Charles fox chief of
performance in the sixth largest school district in
North Carolina before that he supervised principles in the
largest public school district in Texas so why the angst and
indignation over his HYVEE of Micheal Mahoney hometown high
hires a the folks in KC K. number one believe that sent
Elaine did a great job and of they were part of this lawsuit
that we just discussed this with the education they believe
that Center landed a good job they're gonna miss our they
wanted somebody that was familiar with their district
the Deputy Assistant superintendent was the other
candidate they wanted him I mean the hometown
it seems extreme though to see that kind of reaction at a
board meeting right Eric the ideas and I feel sorry for him
and hope he makes it but when you come in and you got that
kind of response from the community doesn't that doesn't
make for good too quickly the Kansas city Kansas school board
is undergoing some of political vibrations things or you know
it used to be of fairly smooth operation there are
disagreements on the board urban education is always
difficult change is difficult Center Elaine has been there
for a long long time to bring someone from out of town will
obviously upset some constituencies in the Kansas
city Kansas district and this may become an issue and further
elections for that for a long time the racial dividing line
Kansas city has been viewed as trust Avenue this week one of
the region's largest low income daycare centers is bridging the
divide literally operation breakthrough expanding its
thirty first into specifically with the building on the other
side of the road which they connected with an actual branch
what's the significance of this move for trust Avenue it gives
it more visibility it expands the their care opportunities
because now they'll have both sides made me there I have
larger classroom space that I have other programs that they
can put in there for parenting and some other things but it
looks nice I saw the bridge the other day when I was driving
out troops so it looks really nice I wrote a column about
true still mean it with four years you're right Nick decades
it was seen as the dividing line drive down troops now I
mean it's that the changes they're a pretty dramatic if
you go from downtown south and the and the edge of the
border between the east side of the rest the community is
shifting more toward prospect it's been nothing but bad news
of late for the eighteen combined entertainment district
as the jazz museum tries to rescue itself from dance the
district's newest amenity falls victim to vandals intruders
purposely cut a water line causing hundreds of thousands
of dollars in flood damage at the buckle Neil research and
education center what happens in that building at what's the
impact of this expensive act of vandalism well right now
they're using the ballroom there was going to be some
office space available I think they were in the process of
transferring it from the museum over to the city so that they
can use the jail by money to finish it it is considerable
damage it was somebody that had a venue of vengeance against
somebody they know exactly where to go cut to turn the
water off cut the pipe then went to turn the water back on
so was somebody that knew exactly what they were doing
can't I think it's very sad because just a few months ago
we had the are set and suspected arson attacks being
investigated at the satchel Paige house another I.
Klein and ten of monarchs baseball and that house they're
still trying to find funding to me restore it but it's gonna
take talk situation before the demolition I did notice this
week on a positive note when it come to eighteen the vine
though that the KCTV because the bus service now looking for
bands to connect the crossroads to the to the buying trustees
get the wind would be the best service doing that well because
for reasons that are completely clear they own that land and
they do want to be involved in development on that part of the
east side the problem Nick is the Bruce Watkins freeway which
goes over eighteenth street roughly where that of
discussion is and that is a bit of a problem in terms of
linking eighteen to buy with eighteen the grand where you're
Kansas city star prints on a daily basis
and a lot of people in the community feel like the jazz
district is black that's our heritage our legacy why
connected with crossroads even though the city council person
said it was a good idea they'll probably be a lot of pushback
about it and that is all we can really well thanks to a new
city was from KMBC nine news Micheal Mahoney and from your
Kansas city star Dave Helling folk forty one action news
reported cat Reid and on call after call Eric Wesson nine
Nick Haines from all of us at KCPT thanks for spending part
of the weekend with us
