It was only a matter of time before American actress Meghan Markle disgraced the Royal

Family.

Now, Queen Elizabeth II is furious with her grandson's "disrespectful" new wife.

According to The Sun, all eyes were on Meghan Markle on Tuesday as she attended the Queen's

Young Leaders reception at Buckingham Palace.

But fans have slammed the former actress for ignoring a royal rule and being disrespectful

to the Queen in the way she was sitting.

Meghan, who wore a pink Prada dress for the occasion, was pictured sitting with her legs

crossed and stretched to one side.

The crossing of the legs is a sitting position that is rarely used by royals, and women in

the presence of the queen are NEVER permitted to cross their legs, as it is seen as a sign

of disrespect.

In fact, Kate Middleton's uncrossed leg position even has its own nickname, "The

Duchess slant," and was previously used by Princess Diana.

It involves sitting straight with an egg-width space between your back and the seat, and

your chin parallel to the ground.

You should slant your legs to one side and keep your ankles and knees together, with

your heels always touching the ground.

They may be crossed in a "Cambridge Cross" if that is more comfortable for you.

Myka Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told GoodHousekeeping.com, "Typically 'the

Duchess slant' is used when a lady has to sit for an extended amount of time while keeping

poise and posture."

Shocked royal fans quickly took to social media to share their opinions on Meghan's

sitting etiquette.

"The Duchess of Sussex has her legs crossed wrong.

What a disrespect to the Queen.

All royal ladies cross at the ankles or put both legs to the side," one fan wrote on

Facebook.

"It was an act of disrespect to the queen.

I can not believe a duchess can do so.

She does not learn the rules of royalty," commented another fan on Instagram.

"She could have made the effort to sit properly and have her legs the right way for the photo,"

remarked someone else.

Granted, there are tons of tiny nuances and obscure rules that Meghan Markle must become

accustomed to now that she is a royal.

However, the fact that she should no longer cross her legs is among the simplest of them.

Even those who are not members of the elite Royal Family typically know that it is improper

etiquette for royal women to cross their legs — and this should never, ever be done in

the presence of the Queen.

Queen Elizabeth has been very kind to Meghan ever since she and Prince Harry announced

their engagement ahead of the holiday season of 2017.

The Queen was also very patient in the lead up to the royal wedding, even as Meghan's

family drama threatened to derail the ceremony and humiliate the Royal Family on the world

stage.

Seeing as the Queen has been so warm and welcoming to the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex — even

though that must have been quite difficult — the least Meghan could do would be to

show her some respect during public appearances.

They were posing for an official photo, for goodness sake!

A Jackson family source told Entertainment Tonight that there will be two services held for Joe on Monday - a public one for fans and a private one for close friends and family

The insider shared that both services will take place in Los Angeles but specific locations and times are yet to be confirmed

The father-of-11 died at the age of 89 in a Las Vegas hospice following a short fight with pancreatic cancer

His famous family, which includes superstar Janet Jackson, sons Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito who along with his late son superstar Michael Jackson, formed the Jackson 5, celebrated the patriarch following his death for his strength and musical legacy

"We mourn the loss of our father and celebrate the life of a man who sacrificed so much to give us the life and success we have today," his children said in a shared statement reported by the Associated Press

Despite tense relationships with some of his children - Joe was estranged from Michael when he died in 2009 - many of his children and grandchildren also paid personal tributes to the star on social media

Daughter La Toya Jackson confessed she will "always love" her father, while granddaughter Paris Jackson labelled him "the strongest man I know

Posting the day after her 35th birthday on Saturday, Cheryl wrote: 'We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways

' Liam later shared the same statement. According to The Sun Liam has already moved out of their shared £5million home after having broken up two weeks ago

'But they're in different stages of their lives and, after a lot of careful thought, came to a decision that it's best for everyone if they do go their separate ways
