Fed Up Trey Gowdy Fires Warning Shot At Washington D C !

Trey Gowdy is the last Congressman liberals want to see digging into corruption.

He made his name investigating Hillary Clinton's conduct during the Benghazi scandal and uncovered

her private email server.

Now, his new role has the left terrified.

Congressman Gowdy announced he was taking a seat on the Intelligence Committee.

Gowdy taking a seat on the Intelligence Committee could not come at a more opportune time.

Obama administration political appointees in the intelligence community repeatedly leaked

stories to the press designed to smear then President-elect Trump.

Shortly before the Electoral College vote, stories appeared in The Washington Post and

NBC News about reports that it was the assessment of the intelligence community that Russian

President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian hackers to interfere in the election in order to help

elect Trump.

Obama's political people at the CIA and other intelligence agencies leaked the story

to paint Trump as a Russian agent, and maybe even influence the Electoral College vote.

After the Electoral College affirmed Trump's victory, an opposition research memo prepared

by an ex-British intelligence agent for political opponents of Trump surfaced in the press — after

it was included in a briefing for President Obama and Vice President Biden.

The memo was filled with unverified and debunked gossip that alleged Trump committed scandalous

acts while traveling in Russia, and that his associate met with agents of the Kremlin.

The memo alleged the Russian government possessed compromising information on Trump.

All of it was false, but many believed it was leaked to the press by Obama political

appointees in the intelligence community.

Some Republicans were outraged.

Senator Rand Paul declared someone should go to jail for these leaks.

Breitbart reports on Senator Paul's appearance on CNN:

PAUL: "I THINK IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THAT PRIVATE INFORMATION THAT'S DISCUSSED IN

PRIVATE INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS BE PRIVATE. CLASSIFIED INFORMATION SHOULD NOT BE LEAKED

TO THE PRESS. I DON'T KNOW WHO DID THIS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU IN ALL LIKELIHOOD, IT WASN'T

A REPUBLICAN. IT WASN'T DONALD TRUMP. IT WASN'T HIS PEOPLE. SO YOU HAVE A COUPLE

OF CHOICES. THIS WAS EITHER LEAKED TO NETWORKS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS BY INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS

OR BY DEMOCRATS THAT ARE PART OF THE ELITE EIGHT THAT GET THESE BRIEFINGS. THERE'S

ONLY A FEW PEOPLE WHO COULD HAVE LEAKED THIS INFORMATION. THE REASON WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

IS THAT YOU DON'T WANT PUBLIC OFFICIALS WHO ARE BEING BLACKMAILED TO BE AFRAID TO

GO TO THE FBI AND SAY 'HERE'S THIS INFORMATION.' IF A PUBLIC OFFICIAL TAKES PRIVATE INFORMATION

THAT YOU ARE BEING BLACKMAILED WITH TO THE FBI AND THEN IT LEAKS INTO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN,

THAT IS INEXCUSABLE, AND REALLY SOMEBODY SHOULD GO TO JAIL AND WE HAVE NOT TALKED ABOUT THIS

ENOUGH. A LEAK LIKE THAT IS SO SIGNIFICANT IF IT CAME FROM THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY,

THEY SHOULD GO TO JAIL. IF IT CAME FROM THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, THEY SHOULD GO TO JAIL.

YOU CANNOT ALLOW THE LEAKING OF CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS, PARTICULARLY WHENS IT GOES TO SOMEONE'S

CHARACTER SO I THINK THIS IS A TRAGEDY AND DONALD TRUMP IS RIGHT TO BE MAD."

With Congressman Gowdy and his reputation for dogged pursuit of the truth now on the

intelligence community, many feel reassured that any politically-motivated leaks to hurt

President Trump will be exposed and the perpetrators held accountable

Excessive heat warning issued due to 110-degree heat index in Washington - Duration: 4:37.

Heat index values around the Washington region at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday. (National Weather Service) (This post, originally published at 1:49 p

m, was updated at 2:30 p.m. to add information about the excessive heat warning placed into effect

) * Excessive heat warning through 8 p.m. * The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for the Washington and Baltimore regions through 8 p

m. Tuesday, the most severe heat alert. "The combination of extreme temperatures and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are expected," the Weather Service said

At 1:10 p.m., the air temperature in Washington soared to 97 degrees while the dew point, an indicator of humidity, stood at 75 degrees

That combination produced a stifling heat index, or measure of how hot the air feels, of 110 degrees

The Weather Service issues a heat warning when heat index values reach 110 or are predicted to rise that high

Area under excessive heat warning through 8 p.m. (National Weather Service) Both the air temperature of 97 and the heat index of 110 early Tuesday afternoon marked the highest levels of the summer of 2018 so far

The Weather Service advised checking in on relatives and neighbors. Older adults and anyone without access to air-conditioning are most vulnerable to heat-related illness

"Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside," it said. "When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening

Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of water

" Tuesday has produced the week's most extreme heat and humidity despite earlier forecasts which called for Sunday and Monday to be the hottest days of this heat wave

On Sunday, the high temperature was 93 with peak heat index values in the low 100s

Monday hit 95 with a heat index as high as 107. Tuesday marked the fifth straight day with highs of at least 90 degrees

The heat in Washington started early in the day Tuesday. The morning's low temperature only fell to 80 degrees which, if it stands, will mark a record high low temperature for the date, passing the previous mark of 79 from 1898 and 2002

By 10 a.m., the temperature in Washington was the highest in the nation on Weather

com's map: It's unlikely, however, that Washington will set a record high maximum temperature

The record high of 101, last set in 1966 (and before that in 1873 and 1872), should not be reached

Nonetheless, the heat and humidity have generated plenty of griping among Washingtonians

"D.C. is a hellscape, and I am not referring to the politics," tweeted Naomi Eide

"Every day I think it's going to be the hottest day, then the next day is worse," tweeted Nancy Duley

Wednesday, July 4, should actually show some improvement as the wind flow comes off the ocean, capping highs to around 90, though it will remain quite humid

Heat index values should still come close to 100.

' His new career will officially begin on July 14 when the MLS side open their new stadium with a game against Vancouver Whitecaps

WHEREAS, After many seasons as the leading goal scorer with Manchester United and Everton in the United Kingdom, global soccer sensation Wayne Rooney has signed with Washington, DC's own DC United; and WHEREAS, Wayne Rooney's arrival in the Sports Capital brings palpable excitement to fans already buoyed by the soon-to-be-opened Audi Field in Washington's Ward 6; and WHEREAS, With almost 500 matches, 208 goals, and many Player of the Year accolades behind him, we look forward to Wayne Rooney adding more games, goals, and championships to his already impressive career stats; and WHEREAS, Born in Liverpool, England, we think Wayne Rooney and his family will feel right at home here in Washington, DC, home to a diverse population of more than 700,000 strong and where you can find a restaurant or two that offers classic British fare such as bangers and mash, fish and chips, and shepherd's pie; and  WHEREAS, When stadium employees, fans, press, and teammates begin filing into Audi Field for the first time, the energy coursing through the new home for DC United, combined with the addition to its roster of the iconic and world-renowned striker Wayne Rooney, will be dynamic and befitting that of a five-time Premier League champion; and WHEREAS, DC United fans here in Washington, DC and throughout our region anticipate following Wayne Rooney dribbling his way to securing his and his team's place in our Sports Capital's canon: NOW, THEREFORE, I, THE MAYOR OF WASHINGTON, DC, do hereby proclaim July 2, 2018 as 'WAYNE ROONEY DAY' in Washington, DC

For his part, Rooney insists he has not gone to America to retire, though it was not his decision to leave Everton just 12 months after rejoining his old club

Rooney returned to his boyhood club last July and finished the season as Everton's leading scorer but major shareholder Farhad Moshiri was key in the decision to let him move

'Everton is the club I grew up supporting I was delighted and grateful to go back last summer but in football you never know whats round the corner,' said Rooney

'I'm sure there are questions about why I left and the people who want to know can ask Everton and let them answer

He said: 'I'm not here to see out the last few years of my career I'm here to compete and to win

'Yesterday I had a go at some of the academy players for not running as hard as they should - I always set high targets and I demand that of myself and my team-mates

'I'll adapt to the way the club is ran and embrace it.'
