Hi every one, it's Motard Geek for WEareFPV.fr
Today tutorial very easy
For a feature yet usually painful to set up
This feature permits to configure FPV Camera with RC joystick
Before this F405 AIO from Foxxer
I had never connected the FPV Camera OSD to a any FC
It was too complicated to add resistance to the wiring.
Too much hack just for camera settings.
Too much settings in BetaFlight
But with this F405 it's very easy to set up
After testing, I can only confirm it
Let's check this easy wiring
Here are the 4 wires of the camera
On the right, the black wire for the ground
Starting from the right, the 2nd wire is the power
Then the yellow signal cable
And the last one, the white
Soldered on CC pad
CC for Camera Control
Remember, I already talked about that in my review of this good FC
This is all ! There is nothing to do on BetaFlight.
This is the only thing to do to make it work
Actually it looks compatible only with some Foxeer Cameras
I will list them on the blog
I don't think it works with Runcam
At least without any settings / hack
Now I'll show you how it works
Let's bring the screen
A LiPo
Let's powering on the radio to prevent failsafe buzzer
This is the good model
Puda frame with F405 AIO
vTx should send something
Let's check that
Good
It's the good band/channel
Need a screen support
The Oblivion should do the job
Sounds good
I hope you can see on the video
This is this kwad who films is own image
No it's easy
Let's swap sides
Better handling for me
Let's move the kwad in order to not film my hand
Should be ok now !
Or not...
Mid throttle
Then yaw right
It doen't work
My endpoints are limits
I send 1999 and not 2000us.
So I need to push the stick at the very max and still at 50% gaz
Then the OSD appear
Pitch for up and down
And roll for left and right
Same thing, you need to send 2000us each time
Here, to validate next screen, push mid throttle and yaw right again
Let's try to change day & night parameter
In black & white we should see the difference on the screen
Wrong parameter
Now it's in B&W
No more color
Still the same camera, no cheat
Up to quit
No need to save
Cursor on exit
mid throttle + yaw right to validate
too much right
Still my endpoint problem
once you have the hand it does it, besides we do not need it often
it's super convenient
I would have liked it to be in the LUA script
But as it is a joystick emulation, I thing it's a bit complicated
anyway, it does not change the usual settings with the remote control
The only little problem is that it overlays the BetaFlight OSD
That's why I removed it for this demo
You can move down alerts and disarm inforamtion on the OSD
Disarmed is in the middel for example
Let's bring back the configuration menu of the camera
with a bit of practice it's pretty simple
We can here my timer alert
I'll talk about that just after
Let's bring back the color
hop
exit
My 2 timers are expired
Explained in this video
Timers are activated when gaz is not at zero
We need to reset them before flight
Like that
No matter as we don't change those settings too often
So it's another good point for this Flight Controler
Easy settings and good flight performance
I'll publish a full review soon
Just need a bit of tuning to show you flight footage
Good job from Foxeer
Just notice it is mainly for separated ESCs
Even if we can use 4 in 1
With those solder pads on corners
It's a really easy BetaFlight board to use, not like some OMNIBUSF4 with no custom targets....
everything is preset
Just need to set flight modes
PID and rates
Easy and quick to put in the air
That's all for this video
If you need something dont hesitate to ask
I'll try to help you
Bye bye
