this is a channel where every day I share one video of tips of how you can

enrich and enhance your relationship I am Kadrian Thomas now today I want to

share five family traditions that my wife and I have that has contributed and

continue to contribute to the enrichment and building of our

relationship positively number one I love you know this is something that

we've been doing since dating throughout college etc every single day we tell

each other that we love each other it doesn't matter even if we've had a bad

day even on days when we were not on speaking terms we would still say I love

you we would still hug and kiss and we have continued to do that no presently

we are trying to outdo each other so now the way that we do it is we say the year

that we're in the month and the day you know for example I love you September 25

2018 so we do that every day and we try to out do each other at the strike of

12:00 or when we wake up in the morning so I love you is number one number two

we have a date night since we've been married we have put in place a date

night initially it got off to a rocky start it was not always this way but

eventually we reached a point where we're able to set up on a date night

that has become consistent over the last maybe a year or so that's what we've

been doing like every week we have a special night a date night set aside we

will spend time together you know with each other

so that makes it interesting for us we really initialized it on a practical

basis because we realize that it is important to spend time to bond and to

build closeness between each other so every single week we have one date night

one night that we set apart we don't do anything else on that night but spending

in each other's presence doing different activities and getting close up to each

other number three we cook at least one meal together every week in the kitchen

we prepare one meal together and that is something I always enjoy doing from

the early stages of my marriage with my wife whenever we're in the kitchen we

get to spill off ideas we get to talk about stuff we get to enjoy seasoning

each other's pots and combining our different cooking styles together to

make a wholesome meal a home-cooked meal together so we find that cooking

together at least one meal together per week has contributed significantly to

our relationship and in building our love life with each other

number four no gadgets at the dinner table so when we're having a meal at the

table we may it be breakfast brunch lunch dinner or supper we put away our gadgets

our phones and we spend at that time to communicate the talk to build rapport

doesn't matter even though we may be working out of the same space it is time

when we just get to be away from the world know what's app no emails no

Facebook no Twitter no Instagram no facetiming nothing like that we get to

spend that together time just to talk face-to-face because we're in a

technological age and we don't want our lives to be so caught up in the

technology that we lose the essence of having a heart-to-heart conversation and

last number five we do courses together sometimes

similar courses or sometimes we're doing the same course together and the ones

that we do together we find them very interesting because we're getting to

share what we've learned and how we grasp the ideas that are presented in

the content we like doing online courses actually because of the period of time

it takes to complete them and being able to implement what we've learned immediately

unlike going to conventional traditional schools where you'll have to stay for

two years four years whatever in order to get a degree for example and then

wait to get a job when we do online personal development courses then we are

able to implement what we have learned so those are our five traditions that we

share in our marriage things that we do consistently on a weekly basis I love

you is every day then we have a date night every week we cook a meal together

every week no gadgets at the table when we eat together every day and number

five we take similar or the same courses together and those things have
