Make your Landscape Photos POP | Keeping Lightroom Simple! (Part 3) - Duration: 16:41.do you think that your photos don't stand out enough that they're missing a
little bit of character well watch this video because we are going to talk about
Lightroom editing tips and techniques to make your images pop
welcome to my channel
here I talk about photography and I make videos just like this one where share
some editing tips so if you're here for the first time it might be a good idea
to subscribe I feel like I'm a little too dressed up for YouTube videos but
never mind video number three of my mini series of the simple techniques of
Lightroom editing if you missed video number one and number two I will link
them down in the description or here I strongly recommend to watch those first
so that you can make the most out of this one in the previous videos we saw
how to edit our images in the basic panel but now we really want to make the
difference we want to bring our photograph to life we want to make our
images POP possibly this is the most creative part together with the
composition because here we can really express our vision and the more we have
a clear vision in our mind the easier the editing process will be we will see
this in a second before diving into the editing process last week I mentioned
that in this video I was going to suggest a photo edit challenge as a
matter of fact my idea is to give you a photo edit assignment where you will
edit one of your own photos possibly a long exposure but any landscape
photograph will do of course the scope is for you to use all the tips and the
techniques that you saw in the previous two videos and the ones you will see
today I would like you to post the before and after on Instagram I like you
to tag me #attilioruffophotography and I like you to use the hashtag Lightroom
challenge then I will pick three four or five photos and I will make a video
about your edits and of course I will give a big shout-out to the
photographer's Instagram account of the selected photos make sense now by the
way since you are on Instagram why don't you check out my Instagram grid and if
you see something that you like feel free to follow me thank you for that but
now let's make this image pop finally at the desk with Lightroom in front of me
in the first video we saw those necessary adjustments that I do to every
photo in the second video we saw the basic panel adjustments which is in my
opinion super important step I would say that 95 percent 90 percent of the image
is made in the basic panel in my opinion and now we will look at an image that
has been already edited in the basic panel and we'll see what else we can do
to make this image pop so this is the image we are going to work on today it
is a picture taken in Cape Cod this is called first encounter beach and
although these seems to be very calm and serene image it was a nightmare to be
there standing and waiting for the nice light because it was full of mosquitoes
anyways this was taken with a neutral density filter 10 stops 30 seconds
exposure and by the way I've been asked this before how comes with the 30
seconds exposure the boat is not moving well the boat is not floating the boat
is a sitting on the sand as a matter of fact
this picture is called low tide that's all just to anticipate a few questions
that I'm sure I will get anyway f/20 100 ISO forty eight millimeter using the 24
to 70, 2.8 Nikon lens that I used to have and you can see by looking at
before with the blue cast caused by the neutral density filter and after just
the basic panel made a huge difference and dramatically change this image but
now let's make it pop as I said the basic panel is already taken care of so
I will open the tone curve and I want to increase the contrast one click easily
done let's open the hue saturation and luminance panel now in the hue I can
slightly change the color tone of selected colors with the target I can
see which color is effected in this area and I can see it's the yellow I want to
darken this a little bit so I drag the yellow slider down let me see in this
area instead of course here I see the orange and I want to drag down the
orange as well and and this blue here I want to make a little lighter I will not
touch the saturation and as far as it concerns the luminance I'd like to see
yes I want to increase the luminance of this orange just to have a little more
luminance on the boat but we'll do something else there then with that
split toning this is a very key panel to change or to enhance the look of our
images so I want to increase this is my vision I want to increase the colors of
the sunset and to do so on the upper part I have
the highlights and I can define which hue I want to add and I'd like to add blue
purple color in the highlights let me add a little bit of saturation there in
the shadows instead I always like it's not a rule but I always like to add a
little blue and I will add a little bit of saturation there too so you can see
without and with the split toning then I can also decide if I want to have more
shadows or more highlights balance and I will move the balance a little more on
the highlights part details so here I will add just a little bit of sharpening
I always like to have my radius at the minimum 0.6 0.7 might increase a little
bit the details but the most important part is that the sky and the water don't
need to be sharpened so holding the Alt key and moving the masking slider
towards the right I will be able to decide where the sharpening is going to
happen which is basically only on the white part of the image so will be the
boat in those horizon lines and the foreground anyways I saw some dust spots
in the image while adjusting the masking so I will click on the spot removal
I'm on heal I will click on visualize spots and I saw one spot right here and
I also saw one spot right here and
something I don't like here done cleaner okay
sharpening is done removed those spots lens correction was already taken care
Effects:in the effects I like to add just a tiny bit of vignetting I usually add about
- 6 - 7 I will go all the way with the midpoint I will increase the roundness
and increase the feather but I might increase just a tiny more as you can see
is minimal but basically I want the focus to go towards the center of the
imager so I will darken the edges just a tiny bit and I'm done with the general
adjustment I will now go into some local adjustments the first one I will take
care of is the graduated filter in this image I didn't use a neutral density
graduated filter just because I didn't have it at the time so my goal here is
to darken a little bit the sky and with the graduated filter up here double click
on effect to erase the previous adjustments you made click shift in
order to be able to drag a parallel filter and I will bring it down right at
the horizon now here I will first of all decrease the highlights then maybe a
tiny bit of exposure as you can see it's almost nothing but is there I want to
increase the contrast
I will increase slightly the dehaze but I will also add a little bit of color
and you can see that here at color I can click on this box and add whatever color
I think will fit in this case I go to that purple blue that I really like and
as you can see we have a little tint I can also decide whether this tint will be
applied to the entire filtered part and I can see which is the effected area by
tapping on this show selected mask overlay which will basically paint in
red whatever is effected by the filter but if I only want to add this color and
this adjustment to a specific part for instance selecting the luminance I can
decide that only the lighter part of the image will be effected or by dragging
the range towards zero only the darker part will be affected in this case
though I want to affect the entire area so I will keep the masking off then I
want to add a new graduate filter because I want to add because I want to
increase the sharpening of this foreground here and if I go with my
mouse right on the center of this filter I can see the colored area and that is
the area that is going to be effected so in this area I'm going to increase
the sharpening because I want to have a dramatic difference between this
foreground and this dreamy water I will increase a little bit of the clarity and
I also want to see more details so I will increase the shadows subtle
adjustments but they will make the difference and the very last thing I
want to do is actually to have a little more details and light on the boat
so with these brush tool I will increase the shadows a little bit of whites
I will sink crease the sharpness and the exposure and I will start painting and
we will see how this is effecting the boat I will also do a little bit of
painting in the reflection I think I went too far so I will dial back the
exposure dial back a little bit the shadows but increase a little bit the
clarity and the saturation I can also decide to add a little bit of color
right here maybe a little more and I'm adding this orangey-red the beauty of
these adjustments is that I can always decide to dial back if I realize that
maybe I went too far that is good to try try see what you like see
if these actually really express your vision and if so you're good! and this is
done before after before after I think this image is warmer I think this image
pops more what do you think is it better
so we are done for today and we are actually done with this mini-series I
hope you enjoyed this video and I really hope that you will participate to the
Lightroom challenge I really want to see some results I want to see if these
tutorials are actually useful also if you have some ideas about possible
challenges or assignments that we can create on this channel leave me a
comment below don't forget to hit that like button share this video with your

Kendall Jenner's skin care guru shares simple rules for combating acne - Duration: 6:54.Earlier this year, Kendall Jenner was blasted on social media for arriving to the 2018 Golden Globe Awards with acne
But shortly thereafter, the 22-year-old supermodel shut down the shamers on Twitter writing, "never let that s--- stop you!" And according to her skin care guru, Christie Kidd, Jenner works hard everyday to maintain a clear complexion
"There are moments her skin doesn't look good, but she's still very young," Kidd, a certified physician assistant, told "Good Morning America," adding that Jenner follows a strict routine
"She's a real girl. I love that she just owns it. She says, 'Whatever, I don't love it, [but] what are you going to do?'" Here are three simple tips you need to know for fighting acne, according to Kidd
Follow a regimen set by your dermatologist. For years, and as instructed, Jenner uses a clean face wash, acne pads and a renewal serum -- all of which were developed by Kidd
But, as Kidd explained, no two people are alike when it comes to skin. "I might tell Kendall, 'I want you to wash your face three times a day' because she's a model and wears makeup all day," Kidd said
"Whereas a normal working girl like you and me, I'd say just do it morning and night
" While Jenner gets some in-office treatments, she mostly does self-care at home -- following her routine "perfectly," Kidd said
Do your job, and don't be a slacker. Since Jenner strongly sticks by her skin care treatments, Kidd said she often sees results
But while we're all exhausted after a long day at the office, Kidd stresses, don't -- and she repeats -- DON'T be lazy and go to bed with your makeup on
"You've got to get that point that you can't sleep if your face is dirty," she noted, adding that it can cause more breakouts
"And there's no cheat -- don't take a makeup wipe and think you did a good job." Kidd went on, "Girls will come in all the time and say, 'I want to look just like Kendall
' I can give you the tools, but if you don't follow it, you're not going to get anywhere
" Don't use anything abrasive Extreme exfoliator scrubs, wash cloths and sponges may harm the skin
Instead, wash your face well (but gently), using clean hands to avoid aggravating your skin and or blemishes
Clean your makeup applicators Makeup brushes and sponges can carry bacteria, which doesn't help when your skin is prone to acne
Kidd recommends rinsing these tools after each use. Change your pillow case. Not switching out your pillow case can be similar to not washing your makeup off at night
If you're going to bed with product in your hair, you're probably sleeping in it as well -- subjecting your skin to more breakouts
Those suffering from acne should use a clean pillow case each night, or, as Kidd recommends, sleep on "side A" tonight and "side B" tomorrow
Acne's a bummer, but keep your confidence. In all her beauty, even Jenner has her moments
But the young star never lets it get the best of her. After being blasted for having acne at the Golden Globes, fans praised Jenner for rising above the negativity
Even big sis Khloe Kardashian came to her defense. "The best she's ever looked!" Kardashian wrote on Instagram
"And she looks epic always but this is craziness." Kidd said that Jenner's skin could be clear and amazing for a year and a half, but then "all hell breaks lose
" Still, one little blemish won't keep her from a red carpet event or a girls' night out and niether should you
"I'm always very proud of Kendall because it makes a lot of girls feel empowered," Kidd said

How To Deep Condition Natural Hair To Retain Length 😍 My Simple Natural Hair Care Routine! - Duration: 3:09.So in this video, we show you how to deep condition your hair. I already applied deep
conditioner to the three sections of my hair. It's better to apply deep conditioner into
sections so that you're able to work the product in easy, this is the last section and it already
looks like it has the conditioner in it but that's because I applied the excess
conditioner from these twists into this section so it's not gonna need as much
the conditioner as the rest. Let's just spray some water and then work it in.
work in the water with the praying hands method.
so the water touches each and every one of your strands and then you're gonna
take your favorite deep conditioner, remember that other three sections
already deep conditioner, and any excess I have here so this section doesn't
need as much, apply as much as your needs and just work it in usually
you know if your hair has enough deep conditioner if you can finger dentangle
with a breeze. So just keep on working it in using the praying hands method,
make sure to put extra on your ends because they're the oldest part of your hair and need more moisture.
I'm just gonna work that in
and then twist up the section
The next step is applying my deep conditioning cap. If you see any extra
conditioner you can apply it to the other parts of your hair. So the next step is apply
my deep conditioning cap. Here it is but first because I don't want the
conditioner to get on this material. So I have to wear a shower cap and then
the shower cap acts like an extra layer that can create heat to penetrate my hair.
So I apply the shower cap. A cheetah one.
Make sure that everything is covered and then this will be warmed up in the
microwave for one to two minutes on each side. Depending on your preference.
I let it stay for five minutes or 30 minutes or however long I desire but to
but please follow product instructions. Thanks for watching this video on how to deep condition your hair. I hope it helps.

The Simple Ways USO Helps Military Families - Duration: 1:13.One of the things that
I appreciate about the USO
more than anything
is, as simple as it is, Airport locations. Being able to stop at an airport with a
USO terminal and going in to grab a Coke, to grab a snack to sit down and relax
and one of the things my boys appreciate about the USO right now more than they
ever have in their whole life was before she left on this current deployment she
was in Baltimore, stopped at the USO terminal, and recorded a book on tape a
Dr. Seuss book to the boys and anytime they need to see her face they can sit
down open up that book and read it right along with her every tear that she's
crying while she's reading that book it's all recorded and the boys can
can be a part of that and see that and have those last moments before she left
to go overseas she was thinking about them and did that for her and that's to
the thanks of the USO

A Simple Change: Ensure your procurement policy is fair and ethical - Duration: 1:39.We need to make sure that we are purchasing as we should be
and supporting the growers and farmers.
So, we cover nine catered locations
within the All Wales Catering Contract Service
and throughout the service, we try and use as much
Fairtrade products as we can, as well as Welsh products.
All tea, all coffee is Fairtrade.
Our bananas are Fairtrade.
We've got a full range of retail items
such as biscuits and cookies.
Our orange juice and apple juice are both welsh and Fairtrade.
So, there is a lot going on there and we want to keep that growing.
You need to get behind it.
You've got to want to push in the right direction.
It's easy to just order your run of the mill sugar and bananas,
but for us, we've made a commitment with Compass and Welsh Government
and my job is to make sure we stick to that and we follow it.
It's easy once you get in that mindset.
We've all got kids, children that are coming behind us
and we need to look after them.
The farmers and growers abroad, they need the support of us in developing countries.
If we support them, they will grow, and it's good for all of us.
I think it's important that all public bodies
look at their procurement and their purchasing
to support Fairtrade and others,
to make sure they are globally responsibly purchasing
and protecting future generations.

Make Money Simple Again on Today Show! - Duration: 4:02.Peter Stefanovic: The time now for The Weekend Property! we are on top of it now buying a property can be
Alison Langdon: I thought something was going to happen there. :)
We are on top of it this morning, we are so quick!
Peter: Now buying a property can be
daunting whether it's a four-bedroom house or a small unit, the first step is
saving up for a deposit. Alison: From household budgets
to money management systems many
Australians struggle to save. Property Expert, Ben Kingsley has co-written a
new book called, Make Money Simple Again with the tips and tricks to achieve
financial peace in less than 10 minutes a month. Ben joins us this morning.
It's nice to actually have you in the studio this time!
Ben: Yes, good to be here! Alison: Now look, household debt in
Australia is a massive issue. We've got
one of the highest levels. I think it's second only to Switzerland. So
clearly we are no good at saving. Why is that?
Ben: Well I think the budgeting of the past is
no longer possible because we've got a digital, cashless economy. So what's
happening is, we might have set up some spreadsheets but we've got instant
access to our money. And when we do that, we're tapping and going and we're
transferring and wiring money. So we've got no discipline in terms of how we
organize and manage our money. Peter: Could you say that differently?
I mean are we no good at saving or are we
going too much? Are we overreaching with our debt or we
Ben: We certainly are! With the plastic economy that we've got,
we've got access to credit so our grandparents are the best money managers
we've seen in history. Because they used to get their pay slips and they used to
manage cash. And they used to put it into jars. If you didn't have that money, you
couldn't overspend. So from that point of view that's the way we need to get back
to but the reality is, is we now do have digital money and digital banking. So
we've got to organise our money back into those jars but we call them virtual
jars. You have your primary offset account or your high interest savings
account. You get all your money going into there and then you organize your
money and if you can do that you can trap more surplus and you can stop the overspending.
Alison: So what you really need to be doing though, is just keeping an
eye on what you're spending and to be aware of what's coming in and what's going out.
Ben: Yeah but most people can't do that Ali, in terms ofm what they're
actually doing is... They might have you know
expense items but what they're not doing is organising their money. So as an
example, we've got a Seven-Day Float model. So you organise your money and
then you work out what you're gonna spend for that seven days. Now you wire
that money to your living and lifestyle account and you pay yourself on a
Thursday, just like our grandparents used to do. And if you come to the next
Tuesday and you've only got $10 left, you've got to make that work. You've got
to open the pantry, you've got to make a meal out of that because what we
normally do is just go into another shop. And it's that slippage... that money
that's slipping out.. Is not allowing us to trap that surplus and paying our debt down.
Peter: So how do you reign in that discretion spending?
Ben: Yeah, so the best way to do it is look at your money and say, you've got essential and
discretionary. For every expense item, you need to look at and say... Even when you go
grocery shopping, you might have the staples that you have to buy. But
ultimately they're still, you know in my case, it's the dark chocolate and almonds.
That's the sort of discretionary spending so if you can
work through your expense items and trap that and then keep to that habit and
make sure you're looking after that money. And the rest of it takes care
of itself. You just start getting into a routine, you're checking on a monthly
basis and you can see that surplus being trap. So realistically how long would
Alison: So realistically, how long would you
expect it to take a normal family to save for a deposit for a home?
Ben: Yes, so if we're sort of talking about double household income and we're
earning say $100,000. A good rule of thumb is to try and trap 20% of
that. That means that over a course of three to four or five years, you're going
to have $60,000, $80,000 or $100,000.
Now that is a good amount of money to be able to put a
deposit down on a property to move forward alright then thanks for coming
Peter: Alright Ben, thanks for coming in. You've got the new book.
If you want some more tips and tricks folks, right there.

Thanks Ben.

He was also a notable figure for his great intuition.
Plus, he had a great desire to discover a natural method of healing. The goal was that each person could do it in their own home and with their family in a simple way.
With this objective, he dedicated his life to the search, plant by plant, for adequate remedies for treat the most common mood disorders.
Between the 20's and 30's of the last century, Bach found plants to help us overcome disorders such as:.
Fear Distrust Anger Shyness Depression Isolation Apathy.
What are Bach flowers?.
Bach flowers are 38 flower essences that are prepared using different methods (dyes, infusions, grinding) to extract the energetic properties of each plant.
By taking these essences, their healing virtues act at a very deep and subtle level on our emotions.
Basically, they're like an emotional first aid kit!.
Their great advantage is that they do not present any contraindications or side effects.
They can be taken by anyone at any age.
This incudes pregnant or lactating women, babies or sick people.
When should we take them?.
Although all people have weak points that we must improve when it comes to our personality, on some occasions we can have a blockage that is more difficult to overcome than normal.
In this respect, Bach flowers can be very useful in situations of stress, in stages of change, in moments of pain, during depression, etc.
The 38 essences are divided into various groups.
Overall, these can help us to understand a little more about the areas of treatment, which include:.
Fear: This is also related to nightmares, phobias, lack of self-controlor excessive worrying.
Uncertainty: This includes lack of confidence, discouragement, depression or indecision.
Disinterest: This is related to periods of fatigue, mental confusion, apathy or learning difficulties.
Loneliness: The feeling of loneliness does not only occur in people who are alone.
Sometimes, you can be surrounded by your loved ones and still feel alone.
Excessive influence of others: This refers to people who do not express what they feel.
In many cases, they do not know how to set limits or who have difficulties adapting to changes.
Discouragement and despair: This is linked to states of self-discipline, rigidity, guilt, anguish or resentment.
Excessive concern for others: This also has to do with certain intolerance, emotional blackmail, nervousness, etc.
To find the specific Bach flowers we need, we recommend consulting with a floral therapist or studying them one by one.
How do we take them?.
Bach flowers can be taken individually or combined.
You can mix up to a maximum of 7 flowers at a time.
Four drops are taken under the tongue, 4 times a day.
The treatment should last at least 21 days. The ideal situation would be to be patient and continue taking them to observe the deeper changes that you are feeling.
You may need to modify them as the treatment progresses.
Bach flowers are prepared with an alcohol base as a preservative.
However, they can also be preserved with vinegar.
You can get Bach flowers in herbalists and pharmacies.
The Remedy Rescue.
In addition to the 38 flowers, Bach invented a unique combination of several of these essences as a "first aid.
" He named them the Remedy Rescue.
This mixture aims to treat specific crises and, therefore, is used as a temporary or immediate solution.
It is the ideal supplement for providing serenity and normality in cases of nervous crisis, accidents, sudden illnesses, nightmares, etc.

A Simple Change: 'You Said, We Did' - Duration: 0:52.My top tips for making information accessible to young people
is to first of all, engage with young people,
but to engage with a diverse range of young people
that you have in your local area.
Don't just pick on one group
but pick on several groups that are representative.
Listen and learn from what they have to say.
Don't patronise it because actually
they are far more insightful than we give them credit for.
The third and last one is about transparency and closing the loop.
So, if you've gone to a group
and you've engaged with them, they've given you messages and you've gone off,
have the courtesy to go back
even if you haven't done anything with what they've said.
Go back and feedback to them why you haven't done it.
and what you plan to do.

Episode 19 - Can you make it stupid simple? - Duration: 5:11.have you ever tried to explain a concept to someone else and you got the feeling
that it was going over their head in a big way so as a realtor or a loan
officer we handle some pretty difficult or confusing things daily well something
that we all take for granted is sometimes is the people that we serve
just don't have the years worth of experience in real estate like you and I
do so in this video we're going to talk about how to break through to the other
side with the people that you want to hire you
what's up everyone its ride miracle with ruff mortgage resource for better
lending and better marketing so we get used to our own technobabble so much so
that sometimes we forget to turn on that filter when we're talking to someone who
doesn't do this every day so this is kind of like cursing in front of your
kids besides letting your kids drop the most recent four-letter word that they
just learned at your in-laws at dinner what's the worst that can happen well
I'll tell you that a confused customer never buys if you have ever bought a
home by way of getting a mortgage that I'm sure you remember that the mortgage
process can be confusing and frustrating now the Fannie Mae guidelines are twelve
hundred and 71 pages long this thing still intimidates me to this day and
I've been doing this for 14 years how do you think a first time homebuyer would
feel if they had to wait their self through that well I'm sure that you're
already trimming stuff down so they only need to hear what they need to know and
as you're delivering it in a way that they can understand as well but have you
gone far enough the reason I challenge you to simplify
more is because once again the confused customer never buys think about the
principle in relation to the last time you bought something when someone is
selling something to us we can get confused and we can get stressed from
there we lose confidence and what is being sold does and then the lack of
confidence ends up making us tense up as a self defense mechanism now after all
that happens we end up looking for the closest exit now if you were confused on
a product wouldn't you rather miss out on something great versus taking a
chance as something that we didn't understand so what does this mean for
you selling a loan product or a service the answer is easy you have to make it
crystal clear like third-grader clear make it so the masses can understand so
pretend you're talking to the dumbest person you have ever seen on the
Internet if you can make them understand you're
good let's think about it this way think about the last few elections and the
campaign slogans that went along with it so build a wall drain the swamp hope and
change make America great again all short and sweet and easy to digest is
your stuff that you were putting out or conversations you're having are
they easy to understand ask yourself if I was the customer and I knew nothing
about the product before seeing this ad or post or postcard or flyer or video
would it make sense to me you can ask that question before you post on social
before you film a video before your next face-to-face with a potential customer
if nothing else asks someone who is outside of the industry to review it to
see if there's anything that would confuse them here's another test that
you can try it's called the foodcourt test so pretend that you're going to go
down to the local food court at your local mall no staying on a clean table
was so really loud to get everyone's attention and when you have a hundred
people around you you got to ask hey who's interested in blank and then
announce your offer does anyone even raise their hand or do they even raise
their eyebrows or does everyone look at you like you have a screw loose so
you're probably saying to me right now that no one would have interest in what
I'm selling because my product or service is way too complicated I need to
educate them first well I have good news selling mortgages isn't as easy as
asking someone if they want a new pair of shoes it's a hard exercise to do
because your offer might be awesome and need to educate but you have to find the
right sales message first if we all use mortgages as an example here's the first
lame attempt that I would put up who here wants to learn about an oaf alone
no one even knows what that is so next thing I would try is some kind of the
money-saving angle here who here wants to talk about downpayment assistance
it still doesn't have the punch because they don't even know what oppa is so
then I try this who here wants free money to buy their next home now we're
talking most people at the food court will understand that last offer
now you may have other people that you're sending offers to pretty much
your past customers and clients that already know who you they understand how
you speak and they already know and like and trust you but will you be able to
ensure that you have a consert stream of customers coming in if you can't get
your message right so rewrite your message again and again until it's food
court proof so do yourself a favor dummy proof your offers your conversations
your social Media content so that the masses can
easily understand what you're saying now if you're a realtor looking to level up
your marketing or work with a partner who can help you grow your business
right here if nothing else thank you again for watching this week's video
once again my name is Ryan Mannion with rock Morgan your source for better
lending and better marketing see you next time

A Simple Change: Give Access To Parkrun On Public Land - Duration: 1:58.We set up Friends of Aberdare Park
two or three years ago and we're interested in all aspects of the park.
I discussed it with the sport RCT officers,
they came and had a look, it was perfect.
I contacted Ceri from Parkrun,
she came to look, fab.
So, that is how it started.
We spoke to 'Friends of the Park' and linked to the Dragons Running Club,
we had the volunteers and the enthusiasm to do it.
We contacted the local authority for permission to use the park, as it's a public park,
And had open access so yes they were supportive.
Next then was the funding, because we needed money to set it up.
We were fortunate that Run Wales gave us £3000,
Park Run gave us £3000,
then we approached the local authority.
One of the stipulations of parkrun is to have access to a defibrillator
and they paid for that. So, we were ready to roll.
We have a lot of councillors who come and volunteer on a Saturday morning.
We've had the leader of the local authority,
when we first set up, he was around.
Obviously, myself and Cllr Sharon Rees
the other local member,
she is here this morning volunteering.
Everyone is very supportive, whatever we ask.
The rangers check the circuit in the morning
to make sure there is no glass or trees blown down or anything like that.
Everybody is on board because everybody wants to see parkrun
making a difference to people's lives.
Times are hard, parkrun is free to enter, they just need their barcode.
It brings them out and about
It's pulling communities together
and I think in times of austerity that's so important.
In times of fitness, bad health and everything...
Parkrun is a win win for local authorities.
