Simple BIOS Setup - Configuration and Settings - Duration: 3:20.
welcome back to the adventure this is Adam and today we're discussing BIOS
settings the BIOS or basic input/output system is firmware used to perform
Hardware initialization during the booting process in modern systems the
BIOS initializes and tests the system Hardware and loads a bootloader which
then initializes the operating system to get started I want to select load BIOS
defaults this option is like safe mode all of the settings are at a minimum
which is great for troubleshooting we also have an option to load setup
defaults which is similar to the selective startup premier msconfig in
the sense that the settings are geared towards performance we will come back to
that in just a moment let's restart the computer and see what it does the memory
test is going to run three times this is performing a simple readwrite test on
modern systems the memory test only runs if the quick power-on self-test setting
is disabled now we will try the load setup defaults option the motherboard
I'm using is circa in 1997 on these older systems the memory test will still
run but it will only count up the memory once notice the system started
significantly faster this time back in the BIOS I'm going to the standards demo
setup options what we can do here is disable the auto detect setting for
drives that are not present in the system for my particular setup
I want to disable auto detect for the primary and secondary master I have one
hard drive and one optical drive connected to the system the jumpers on
the drives themselves are set to slave with a little patience you can actually
set all these options for the hard drive you have so nothing is being auto
detected on startup which would be ideal for now I'm going to use the IDE auto
detection option in the BIOS to find the hard drive parameters for me next we
have the BIOS feature setup there is a lot going on here the manual for your
motherboard usually has descriptions for these settings and in some cases may
make a recommendation on what the set them to case in point this BIOS has
a setting called D turbo mode the setting is not listed in the manual for
my motherboard however what this appears to do is the opposite of a turbo button
while I would prefer to have a dedicated button on the front panel that toggles
turbo mode I have this here is the setting for the quick power on self test
for faster boot up I leave this enabled next we have the
boot up floppy seek setting this tests the floppy drive on startup I keep this
disabled as it does take a small amount of time to perform the test each time
the system starts however it is a great feature to enable for troubleshooting
the next setting of interest is the boot up system speed my motherboard manual
states that this setting does not have a function and recommends to set it to
high modern systems have a more complicated BIOS if they have a BIOS at
all that is a topic for another time don't forget to click the subscribe
button and bring the Bell thanks for stopping by see you next video

Simple Ways To Recyle Kids Toys At Christmas And Give Back - Duration: 2:09.
toys books books and toys they're everywhere especially at Christmas time
and chances are great your kids are gonna get new toys and new books my name
is Tammy and I'm with family purpose and I have a simple but profound Christmas
hack for you especially for those of you that like to keep things neat and tidy
or make sure that you're there kids rooms and play rooms don't get
overwhelmed here's the hack involve your kids go through their rooms before
Christmas a week or so before Christmas get rid of all the toys that they don't
play with that are shoved in their closet or books that they don't read let
your kids help explain to them hey I bet you're gonna get lots of new things at
Christmas let's go ahead and go through your rooms and figure out what you don't
play with to make room for all that new stuff now here's the kicker
you can do one of two ways we did it several times when our kids were little
I anticipated I'm getting new stuff and wanted to get rid of the other stuff
that they don't play with to bless other people so here's what we did we put
everything in a big fabric bag and put it by our fireplace now you could do one
of two things one is you can have Santa take that bag of toys on Christmas Eve
and then he can deliver it to a children's home or someone that can be
blessed by them or if you choose you can take them as a family what a great way
to teach your kids to give back a few days before Christmas box everything up
or use a fabric bag and go to a children's home or a children's place or
our Goodwill store that could bless some other children this is a great great way
to teach your kids the value of giving and loving kids their own age at
Christmastime where we tend to be a little bit more me-me-me inclusive what
a great thing to do for our families and our friends and it's a win-win because
you have made room for their anticipated new toys and books that they'll enjoy
after Christmas so we hope that you'd like comment share and subscribe to our
Channel and enjoy all these hacks because these hacks hopefully are
helping you to be happier and healthier as a family as well as keep your your
kids rooms tidy and cleaned up until next time have a great Christmas please
share your favorite Christmas traditions because we all could use help and
encouragement merry Christmas from our family to your family

Liverpool star Sadio tears after missing simple chance for Senegal - Duration: 2:43.
Sadio Mane was helped from the field in tears as Senegal pulled off a 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea, after being booed by his own fans
National talisman Mane missed a glorious chance to double Senegal's lead in the match, and quickly faced the wrath of the supporters
Senegal had already qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations and now top their group as a result of the victory
Scroll down for video But the end of the game brought about some emotional scenes for Mane, who had clearly taken incidents in the match to heart
The Liverpool star could be seen struggling to fight back tears, before pulling his shirt over his face and falling to the turf
Team-mates quickly arrived to help Mane and escort him from the public gaze, but the striker appeared too caught up in the moment
Mane eventually left the field flanked by his fellow Senegal players, with the tears still flowing
Mane was recently nominated alongside his Reds team-mate Mohamed Salah for African Player of the Year, of which Salah scooped last season
The forward also recently came in for glowing praise from manager Jurgen Klopp, who dubbed him 'world class' while speaking of the variety of positions he is able to play if required
Mane has not spoken out on the incident, though the brother of the player is believed to have given his opinion via social media platform Instagram
'It is rare to see a country dislike a star of his country like you do,' the message read
'He will continue to fight for you, continue to sacrifice himself and continue to give the maximum for Senegal and love and respect the national flag
'One day you will realise, but it might be too late.'

Simple Packet Radio based on CC1101 and ATMEGA328 ( ARDUINO ) - Duration: 10:51.
hello guys! Adam here! Today You will be watching CC 1101 packet radio based on
Arduino Uno chip which is ATMEGA328P and I'm going to show
you how to build a very simple packet radio which will operate on
unlicensed band and will base on the Texas Instruments chip CC 1101 so
there's a publicly available library called PANSTAMP which you can use to to
easy program this chip and I will be using a slightly modified version by
Panagiotis Karagiannis so the guy from Greece - he done a very good work to
simplify the code (adopt back to AVR-GCC pure C) to get rid of this Arduino framework from the
code and this is basically a base for my program
The packet radio is it's a device which enable you to
communicate via half-duplex from one terminal - from one PC - to another
PC and from one PC to the smartphone (If you use free FTDI232 driver from Google Play store ) so that will depend all on your creativity
so just for the purpose of this presentation I will be using putty and
two laptops, first laptop the old one with Windows XP and second one with the
Cent OS - this is a different operating system. I have already connected one of my
devices here - maybe short introduction what we have here so
there's a USB to serial port converter (FTDI232 chip based but can be any other)
which is basically used to to install virtual communication port (serial port) in the operating system and then it will
via 3.3 Volt logic communicate with the atmega328 chip
which is basically provisioning the CC 1101 chip operating on 433 megahertz
but it can be any of the supported bands of these chips,
This chip can operate on frequencies like from 315 Megahertz up to 1 gigahertz
it's very flexible it can have it's own (RADIO) address assigned so you can communicate
with many of those devices (at the same time on the same frequency/channel) like I don't know more than 100 it can support up to
four of modulation techniques so I'll be using GMSK and it is intended
to do a low power communication so the maximum transceiver power is only 10mW = 10dbm
to do this presentation I will be using only 1mW
because if the power is higher there would be some problems
on such short range because that would cause some disruptions (overpowered RX link) in a signal
so only 1mW here but in theory this chip when having configured
10mW (transmit power max) - the range can be up to maybe several kilometers in open space
so you will probably have to check this yourself
OK - serial converter - this one is sending data from PC to the chip to the ATMEGA328P to Arduino Uno and this chip will send this data further to the CC 1101
And this guy will receive and transmit the data to the radio to the other device
which is basically the same as here. The other device is connected
here to the WIN XP based laptop and I will be using PUTTY
Okay so let's run the PUTTY (serial terminal) here
I've already prepared some initial config (of PUTTY) - but you have to put correct
information like the virtual port number - the proper one - which is bound to the
FTDI chip (in your Device Manager in Windows). OK this is my first window - the device is connected here
to a USB port. I've programmed this code to blink the LED when
there is something received or transmitted over the radio
and (on the second PC) I'm doing the same so I'm connecting how the FTDI chip to the PC - to the linux based PC
When it is starting up it will blink several times and then it is ready to transmit or
receive. OK so let's make the same here so I will run the PUTTY
I have already provisioned some settings so these are virtual serial ports so we
have ttyUSB0 here and the speed is 9600 bps - the most
commonly used for the terminals like f.ex. Cisco routers.
We have the window. Let's move it somewhere here, now let's see. Just to show you that it
is working I will move this one here...
I do not know if it possible to show two screens at the same time so maybe
I will put something here so like I don't know "hello world". As you can see
it is received here (on second PC) so now we will see. I will be putting
something on the second screen like "how are you" and this guy will answer "I am fine thanks"
as you can see it was received on the
second PC screen - so this is a bidirectional communication over 433MHz frequency
using CC 1101 chip and you have to remember that it is only HALF DUPLEX
so when there's a one person sending something like "Hello" the other
one has to wait. "hi" - as you can see it allows us both way communication on
unlicensed band so if your mobile network goes down you can always
utilize this stuff - these devices to communicate with your friends or do
some other things. It is not encrypted but you have to do it
yourself, you can encrypt this data within the code - it's up to you to
do this and what else I can say. I made some range tests and it works up to
100 meters with 99% of correct packets but maybe if you have
open space the range will be higher (if you have better antenna). like I said this chip -
cc1101 it is intended to provide low-power unlicensed band communications
for some IOT stuff but it can be used for other purposes like I'm showing here
in the packet radio. It is very flexible you can select the frequency,
the frequency can be divided into some some kind of channels or subcarriers and
you can assign an address to the device so the channels will be separated the
devices will have a separated addresses so we can communicate with
particular one (device) and the I think the most important thing is that this board here
it costs only two dollars (on Aliexpress) - 2 USD. You can build a simple
radio device at very low cost and I would recommend this chip to everyone because this
chip is very very powerful. Basically this part is cheaper than my converter
- the serial converter based on FTDI chip. OK so bye-bye
see you next time if you have some ideas what the show please write down
something in the in the remarks I will probably read all of those. As you can
see the packets came from one PC to the another PC. BYE!
