Hey, welcome back to the Six Figure Mastermind. Today I've got a secret. Well,

it's not really a secret because I'm going to tell you what it is. It's a secrets

to public speaking. I'm going to unlock them for you. So, keep watching.

There's a lot of people that feel a message burning inside of them. They feel

like they have something really important to share with their

communities or maybe even the world. But they slam on the brakes because they

think there's some kind of thing holding them back. And they don't know how to

unlock their power when it comes to speaking on stage. I'm going to give you the

three C's to unlocking the secret to getting on stage and being a public

speaker. The first thing that you need to come remember is connection. You come to

an event and you want to see the speaker on stage. And there's a big difference

when a speaker who is a guru and they walks up on stage and they totally

forget that they're speaking to an audience and they just deliver the

message, say thank you and they walk away. And they barely even make eye contact

with you. They don't engage you in the conversation at all. There's a zero

connection. If you want to be not just an informational. But a transformational

public speaker. Meaning, your audience is different because they spent time with

you. You need to create connection. Connection is created by making eye

contact. Connections also created by engaging in the emotions of your

audience. Connection is created by doing state changes. A state change for me,

happens every 90 seconds. Whenever I'm speaking to an arena full of people.

Meaning I'm either going to make them laugh, I'm going to make them turn to

their neighbor and give them a high-five, I'm going to make them stand up I'm going

to make them physically do something different than they did 90 seconds ago.

So, that state change kind of keeps them awake, keeps them alive and keeps them

connected with me. And guess what? If they don't want to play, I kind of make them

play. I demand that on my audience. It's not in a tyrannical like, you have to you can't

be your kind of a way. But if I ask you my audience for a raise of hands and

nobody raises their hands, guess what I'm going to do? I'm going to get up there and say,

"Hey guys, I ask you to raise your hands. Now, who in here wants no more?" And I'm

going to have them raise their hands. And I'm not going to go on until they do it

with me. Because I'm teaching my audience. Guess what? This is my house and we're

going to play together because I want to be connected to you. So, don't rip off your

audience by severing that connection. The second secret to public speaking is

content. Now, I could go on for days about content. In fact, I

have content about the content. Lots of content about the content. But here's the

basics that you need to know. Your content is this. You've heard before it

that your mess becomes your message, right? Now, it really doesn't work if your

mess hasn't been all sorted out yet. So, for example, if you're teaching people

how to, let's see, be a weight loss professional. And you haven't lost much

weight like at all. And your body doesn't show the results, your credibility just

tanked, okay? You need to have content that you've actually created and shown

some results from. So, you... In other words, you need to be through your

mess. The mess needs to be over for you to deliver an effective message on it.

Here's the other thing about your content. You're going to find that as you

hone in on your signature presentation, as you create this masterfully crafted

a-to-z signature presentation. In fact, if you do that with me, you have about 9

pages front and back on how to deliver this presentation succinctly. When you

master that signature presentation, we call it a signature presentation for a

reason. It's because your content is going to be repeated over and over and

over again. Now, that may sound dull to you. That may sound kind of ineffective

to you but you've got it completely backwards if that's the case. Tell me

this. Have you ever listened to a song more than once? Have you ever read a book

more than once? Have you ever watched a movie more than once? And my guess is the

answer is yes. Why did you do that? Because you loved the content. You wanted

more of it you wanted to see it again. I can't tell you how many times but I

think that when the greatest showmen came out, I remember listening to someone

on facebook said that they went to see it in theaters 22 times. Because they

loved it so much. Now, I'm a super fan, I didn't get there 22 times. But you can

bet I watched it over and over and over again because I loved it. When you hone

in on a masterful message, be okay delivering that content over and over

and over again. Because here's what's going to happen. People are going to say,

"I loved your presentation. I loved this transformational piece that

you did. I would like to invite my friends to come over. When are you doing

this again?" And guess what? You're going to tell them when it is because like a

true speaking professional, you have two dates on the calendar

every single time. Right what I just said. I just gave you a gold nugget like

always have two dates on the calendar for your presentations, okay?

"Yes, I'm delivering my presentation. The next one is next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.

here's the location." "Great! I'm going to bring my friends. We're going to go." And

you're going to deliver the content the same way? The same thing you just did?"

Again. So, create evergreen content for your speaking presentation. And that

leads me to my third point. Consistency. When people subscribe to you, maybe on

YouTube. When they follow you on Facebook. When they love your message, you want to

have a consistent brand. And that means a few things. First and foremost, it means

that your brand is consistent upon all platforms of social media. LinkedIn,

Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter. That they're not going to be surprised in a

bad way or a negative way when they see something on one platform and they see

something similar on another platform. If you've created a family-friendly content

over here and suddenly you're dropping curse words over here,

that's not consistency. And you're going to lose people like that because you've

failed to provide them with what they came to you to get, okay? You need to have

consistency. Also consistency in your timing. So, it's like for example, you

start a YouTube channel, and you're producing content every

single day, you need to keep producing content every single day. If you start at

once a week, you can keep it at once a week. With content consistency, you can

always increase your volume. But it's really difficult to keep your

subscribers if you ever decrease in volume. Okay, so be consistent in the

message and be consistent in your delivery of that content. When it comes

to public speaking and your consistency you need to be on a consistent schedule.

Like I said, two dates on the calendar at all times. People need to know when they

can hear from you again. Keep your message consistent. Are you

welcome to add new content? Absolutely. But you need to be consistent within

your brand. If something doesn't match your brand. Either in your message, in

your delivery of the message, in your location, in your venue, in your dress, it

needs to be changed. So, everything maintains its consistency.

Well now you can't what wait that's right on December 20th. The Sun will be setting

December 20th access to the public contact record is being removed. By the way. Did you notice that I said December 20th?

If you're not sure what I mean by public contact record chances are this change won't impact you well

At all if you're familiar with it, well, hold on to your britches. Let's get into the details

The contact record is the backbone of hub spa where all your interactions with a given customer live

Back when the current contact record was first introduced in 2013

HubSpot created a mirror image of every HubSpot contact record that was accessible to anyone with the shareable contact link

This second version served one primary purpose it enabled you to share the contacts details with anyone

even if they weren't a HubSpot user

that might have been your CEO who was curious about your interactions with a certain lead or perhaps

your sales reps who worked out of your CRM

The public contact record was also frequently used in custom CRM integrations

look over the past few years several things have changed that have made the public contact record less useful than it once was

Let's have a moment of mourning. Well, no, we really don't need to mourn it

But remember December 20th, it's done studying as the contact record has gotten more robust

The public contact record has laggard behind since HubSpot introduced contacts

They've launched two entirely new product lines the sales hub and the service hub

With those new products the contact record in HubSpot now includes a much broader picture of your leads and customers

interactions and personal data

Things like tasks notes calls meetings and tickets now appear on this timeline

while the contact record has been filled out the public contact record has remained without

Stagnant in other words, the data isn't transferring over today. It offers an incomplete picture of your contacts interaction and

Let's be real knowing half the conversation or half the context can be super dangerous to the sales and service

Conversations now you have more granular control over access and viewership in hub swap with more advanced permissions

You can limit who sees what in your hub swap portal

You can now set read-only access for users to ensure reps can only view the records that he or she owns

When the public contact record was introduced user access to hub spot was well all or nothing

That's not really a good thing no matter what year it is adding users to hub spot is also now fast and easy

Previously adding users to hub spot was manual and one by one historically

Adding your whole sales team to hub spot could take an entire afternoon

It was easier to skip that step and send them the contacts public record instead now, that's not the case

Now you can import users with a CSV file. Did you know that you did know that right? Like it can be super quick?

While these reasons don't take away from the fact that a small group of customers and integrations find value in the legacy public record

They should give you a sense of what goes into hub swap making this decision to remove this feature

Moving forward hub spot will continue to an and making the contact record even better for you and your team

With that in mind if you've been using the public record in the past HubSpot recommends using the real

Contact record moving forward no need to correct pass usage of the public record when it's removed on December 20th

Because of this change anyone who is not a hub SWAT user will not be able to view the contact record after

The district offers a total compensation package which includes competitive salaries, with

one of the highest starting teacher salaries in the region, and a medical plan in which

RCPS pays an average of 90% of the cost.

Salary and benefits are important in ensuring that you are able to focus on what matters:

taking care of your family and taking care of the students who enter our doors every

day.

There is no greater purpose than serving our community by giving students the tools they

need to be successful.

As a teacher, administrator, or support staff member for Roanoke City Public Schools, you

play a critical role in making sure students are prepared for life.

RCPS wants to make sure that you understand your medical plan options, so you can make

the best choice for you and your family's needs.

Let's take a look at what is new this year in benefit offerings.

For the first time, in many years, there is NO rate increase in premiums for 2019.

One way that we were able to keep costs down is that we are changing pharmacy providers

to Express Scripts.

Express Scripts is the largest pharmacy benefit company in the United States.

While some individual prescription coverage will be affected, the net effect will produce

a plan that is equal to the one it is replacing.

You will receive a new, separate pharmacy benefit card.

We're also pleased to introduce Real Appeal to our employees.

It's an online weight loss and health mentoring program that provides you with a personal

coach to help you customize a plan that's right for you and keep you on track to meeting

your goals.

Real Appeal will replace our current weight management program; however, we will continue

reimbursements for services incurred through December 31, 2018.

Rally is also a part of your plan.

Rally is a website and app that helps you eat smarter, exercise more efficiently, and

stress less.

Think of this as a wellness tracker for your phone!

We're excited about these plan enhancements.

To help you decide which medical plan option is the best fit for you and your family, it

is important that you understand certain terms so you can compare.

First is deductible.

A deductible is the amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance

plan starts to pay.

For example, with a $500 deductible, you pay the first $500 of covered services yourself.

The second term is co-insurance.

After you pay your deductible, you pay co-insurance for eligible medical services (you pay 20%

and the medical plan pays 80%).

Co-pays are the amount you pay under certain plans for office visits and prescription drugs.

The out-of-pocket maximum is the most you'll have to pay for covered services in a plan

year.

After you reach your deductible, and go into coinsurance, there is a maximum out-of-pocket

dollar amount.

Once you meet the maximum out-of-pocket, your health plan pays 100% of the costs of covered

benefits.

Now that definitions are covered, it's important to know that no matter which plan you choose,

you will have access to the following:

Preventative care- in most cases there is no cost.

This includes an annual physical, well-baby visits, and certain testing like mammograms

and prostate screening.

Wellness Incentive: A $500 credit from RCPS for your annual physical, so long as it is

completed in 2019 by to September 30.

Virtual visits are a convenient way to access a health care provider through a computer

or smartphone.

It's ideal when your doctor is not available and you or a family member have a minor illness.

Many common ailments which can be addressed through a virtual visit are shown here.

The Diabetic Health Plan covers the cost of specific diabetes supplies and related prescription

drugs with lower co-pays or no copays for doctor visits.

Now let's talk about the three plan options you have for health coverage through UnitedHealthcare

and Roanoke City Public Schools.

Before we get started, it's important to understand that all plans offer access to

the same network of doctors and hospitals and the same preventive care benefits.

What is different is the way you access your benefits and the costs associated with your

coverage.

The High Deductible Health Plan with Health Savings Account, or HSA, allows you to accumulate

funds in a bank account, deposited by RCPS on your behalf, as well as your own pre-tax

contributions, to cover health care expenses toward your deductible.

Benefits of the HSA plan include: • NO premiums

• RCPS contributes to the account • The HSA account can be used to cover medical

and other qualified expenses • There is a triple tax advantage- dollars

go in tax free, are not taxed when used, and grow tax free.

• All money belongs to the employee and is portable

• Unlimited rollover/growth potential

Other things to consider: • The Deductible is the highest of any plan

offered by RCPS • The Out-of-Pocket Maximum is higher

• Doctor's visits and prescription costs are subject to the deductible and you pay

the full cost- there are no co-pays • You should be prepared for upfront costs

if you have medical needs before there is enough money in your HSA account to cover

the expense.

The 2019 IRS maximum employer and employee contribution is $3,500 for an individual and

$7,000 for a family.

HSA catch-up (for ages 55 and older) is $1,000.

Check your Enrollment Benefits guide for a complete list of eligible expenses.

Here are some examples.

Another option is the Health Reimbursement Account or HRA Plan, a medical plan coupled

with an account funded by Roanoke City Public Schools.

In the HRA, if you have a medical situation and you reach the access point, you've spent

$1000 out-of-pocket.

Once you reach your access point of $1000, the district contributes either $1000 (if

employee only) or $2000 (family) to cover medical expenses.

Disbursements from the HRA are used to pay for qualifying medical expenses and there

are limits to how much can rollover from one year to the next.

The Benefits of the HRA are: • It's the lowest premium available

• Reasonable co-pays • RCPS contributes $1000/$2000 once access

point is reached • Lower deductible

• Can use standard Flexible Spending Options

Other considerations • Money in HRA belongs to RCPS

• Limits to district dollars rolling over

The third option offered by RCPS is the Traditional POS plan which offers a low deductible and

low co-pays with a higher monthly premium cost.

The Benefits include • Lowest deductible and Out-of-Pocket Max

• Lowest copays • Pharmacy and office visits are not subject

to the deductible

You should also consider: • It has the Highest Premium/Greatest Cost

• No additional dollars provided by the RCPS

To determine the plan that is right for you look at the following:

Step 1: Go to www.myuhc.com to review your medical expenses to date.

You can get a good estimate of your annual, ongoing regular medical and pharmacy costs

and estimate what your costs will be for 2019.

Step 2: Compare the costs of each plan on an annual basis.

You want to create a "What if" scenario.

Total the annual premium costs.

Add the deductible (or in the case of the HRA the access point).

This represents your total cost before you would access co-insurance (you pay 20% and

plan pays 80%).

To further estimate total risk, then look at your out-of-pocket maximum.

Once you have the complete picture, make the choice that covers you and your family's

likely expenses at the least possible cost.

You decide the risk.

RCPS offers these three plans because we know that our employees are not alike.

We are confident that one of the plans is the right match for you and your family- as

well as for your pocketbook!

dental and voluntary insurance programs in the 2019 Benefits Enrollment Guide.

As a reminder, Employee-only dental is at no cost and basic vision is at no cost as

an election with your medical plan.

You can buy an enhanced dental and vision plan for greater coverage for things like

braces and glasses.

RCPS benefits don't stop with medical, dental and vision coverage.

Other benefits offered include:

Employee Assistance Program- is a confidential service, to provide assistance with a variety

of personal problems including relationship, emotional, financial, substance/alcohol abuse

issues.

The first visit is free!

Employee Hotline is a confidential 24/7 resource for employees to report any concerns.

The hotline is managed by a third-party and is accessible via web or telephone.

Flexible Spending Accounts are available for dependent care and medical costs.

It is a way to set aside pre-tax dollars for daycare and/or medical expenses before your

out-of-pocket maximum is reached on the HRA and Traditional POS plan.

A limited FSA is available for the HSA plan for dental and vision needs.

Voluntary retirement plans 403b, 457 and Roth supplement your VRS benefit by setting aside

pre-tax dollars today.

Voluntary insurance coverage for accident, disability, cancer and serious illness are

available through AFLAC and Allstate.

You are the most important asset to ensure the success of RCPS.
