A taste of South Korea: Here's what's for dinner at the 2018 Olympics - Duration: 3:09.

Any Olympic host country wants to show off.

In the case of South Korea, Seoul is perhaps

the perfect showcase.

This thoroughly modern capital city

is in a region that's home to more than 25

million people,

half the country's population.

There is WiFi on the subway,

shimmery architecture,

and some remnants of the past,

like the changing of the guard at the royal palace, built in 1395.

People still cram into a market for a quick meal.

On the menu, rolled seaweed,

dense rice chunks in red chili sauce,

pork,

and Korean blood sausage.

But the Winter Olympics are not here in this pulsing city.

They're happening a couple hours to the east of Seoul,

in a mountainous region called PyeongChang.

With the Olympics here, there are more visitors,

which means more snacks.

Some 6,500 athletes and coaches

and 100,000 visitors a day are showing up

in alpine-like resorts and small towns.

And they all have to eat.

The specialty here is buckwheat.

There are buckwheat crepes, filled with vegetables and kimchi.

Cold noodles topped by raw beef.

Even buckwheat sprout juice made with yogurt.

If not buckwheat, this region is also known for

its small plates,

many small plates,

of root vegetables.

There is bonnet bellflower root,

grilled dried pollack,

and acorn jelly.

An Olympic-sized spread of simple, rustic food.

The food of the Korean countryside.

Something not changing for these Games,

while everything else seemingly is.

Tooth Extraction & Bone Graft in Wenatchee WA: Andrea | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:58.

I came to see Dr. Johnson because I needed to have two teeth extracted and a bone graft.

From the moment that I walked in the door, the staff members were warm, accepting.

They were aware of how I felt.

I was handled very professionally.

My procedure was actually pretty amazing.

The extraction itself and the dental work that Dr. Johnson performed was exceptional.

They talked to me, they held my hand, they told me everything that was happening, and

I never once felt like I was out of control, so Dr. Johnson for me was a godsend – exactly

what I needed at the moment when I needed him to do some pretty extensive work.

Flu in Washington State - Duration: 1:06.

I'm here to talk about influenza or "flu" as it's more commonly known. Flu can be a

very serious, even deadly disease. Flu is a severe respiratory illness that

infects thousands of people in Washington every year and sadly, many

people die from it. Flu activity is unpredictable and we see

cases of flu all year long but this illness spreads most rapidly in the fall

and winter months - which many people refer to as the "flu season." Thankfully,

flu shots are available every year for everyone

aged six-months and older, including pregnant women to help prevent illness.

Each year, the vaccine is updated to protect against the strains expected to

make people the sickest. That's why it's important to get a new flu shot each and

every year. Some people are too young to get a flu shot,

or aren't able to get one because of a medical condition. They must rely on

others to protect them through vaccination. The more people who are

vaccinated, the more difficult it is for flu to spread through our communities. To

learn more about flu vaccine or recent flu activity in Washington state, visit

Referring Provider in Wenatchee WA: Dr. Nelson | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:59.

I refer my patients to Dr. Johnson and Dr. McDonald because I have confidence in their

appreciation for the patient-doctor relationship.

I refer a lot of third molar extraction cases and a lot of grafting with dental implants.

Any time that I have a question, I can get in touch with the staff here.

That type of communication benefits the patients because, in the big picture, we have the whole

goal in mind.

So, I would continue to refer patients to this practice with Dr. Johnson and Dr. McDonald

because of their sincere care for the outcome, and I'm confident in the ability of these

doctors to perform the treatment that is needed to the best of their ability.

Referring Provider in Wenatchee WA: Dr. Merrill | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:59.

So, I send my patients to Dr. Johnson and Dr. McDonald because, having worked in orthodontics

for many, many years, I've been able to see a lot of work from a lot of different oral

surgeons, and they do a fantastic job.

I'll frequently refer impacted canine cases, people who need third molars removed – wisdom

teeth.

They do a fantastic job with our jaw surgery patients, and we get some great outcomes.

The communication between our offices has been really good.

We communicate well via email.

I can pick up the phone and make a phone call to them and get a good response from them,

and mostly, they are open to a discussion on how to best take care of our patients.

I will continue to refer patients here to Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery.

They do a fantastic job, and they continually provide excellent patient care, and I know

that they have a commitment to excellence.

Full-Arch Restoration in Wenatchee WA: Camille | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:50.

I didn't get to the dentist for a couple of times, but I knew I was already having trouble

with my teeth breaking off.

There's no hope, we've got to get rid of all of them.

Then, we went to Dr. Johnson to have them all removed.

It was wonderful.

Of course, I slept through most of it.

I came out, and I felt great.

No pain, no nothing.

Recovery was not much.

I am so pleased with what I have now than what I had before, and it was very, very well

done.

I couldn't ask for anything better.

I highly recommend this practice.

I chose to have implants put in.

I've had four.

Once it was healed, then we went forward with the implant, and then the crown put on that.

In each case, I never had any pain.

Recovery was very easy.

The doctor and the staff are very concerned with how you are.

They're very comforting.

I highly recommend this practice.

Dental Implants in Wenatchee WA: AnneGene | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:47.

My regular dentist requested that I come to see Dr. Johnson.

Found out that he was very personable, very kind.

I've had three implants put in, and I've also had a gum graft.

They talked about the procedure and told me what would be happening and answered all my

questions, which helped get rid of my concerns.

The staff is fabulous.

They're all working on the same team.

Really had no problems or concerns.

The healing was great.

It's a great place to have oral surgery done.

Wisdom Teeth Removal in Wenatchee WA: Mackenzie | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:45.

I needed my wisdom teeth removed.

I didn't feel very much pain in my jaw beforehand, but it was nice to get them out.

I wasn't nervous at all because I knew they'd take care of me.

As soon as I walked in the door, they greeted me with a smile and were just generally nice

to me as soon as I got here.

Dr. Johnson comforted me by talking me through the procedure and each part of what he was

going to do, and now I've been able to eat pretty much normally.

I would recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone who asked me about it.

Wisdom Teeth Removal in Wenatchee WA: Angie | Central Washington Oral & Facial Surgery - Duration: 0:55.

I came to see Dr. Johnson for my daughter Claire, who needed to have one wisdom tooth

removed.

Immediately, from the minute we walked in, we felt comfortable.

It was a pretty routine surgery in being that she only had one wisdom tooth.

They were ready to go, and she was ready to go home within a half hour, forty-five minutes

or so, and he took care of her – in an expert sense – as much as I could as a mother in

a mom sense, so if you're looking for a doctor who knows what he's doing and is an expert

in his field and has a great bedside manner as well as his staff, I would say this is

the best place to go.
