Do you want to know a simple and easy way to get you cucumbers and tomatoes off of the ground in this video?

I'm gonna show you how to build a very simple and easy trellis that anyone can do

Hi, this is Jeremy Starkey green thumb gardener

reviews tips tutorials and anything else on your garden means

Tutorials tips and you can see any of these in the future videos by subscribing down below there also

Give us a green thumbs up

If you do like this video if it was helpful for you now that we've got that out of the way

Let's get into the show today

we're gonna build a very simple and easy trellis that anyone can do with

Materials that you get at your local hardware store you can order online

basically, this is a

Trellis right here that if you don't know what a trellis is. It's it's basically a

vertical stand that you can put your plants on to to get them up off the ground and why this is important is

For some vegetables that that are vining vegetables such as cucumbers

pole beans

tomatoes that are vining tomatoes

It's really important to get them off the ground because what that does is it prevents the moisture and any soil

you know fungi or anything like that that could possibly

You know infect the plants so it does it they actually grow

They do a little more vigorous growth when you do get them up off the ground and you have one here

So it really is a it's a good way to to maximize your and produce, you know, produce more vegetables that you have

Also I've heard too. Is that some of the the cucumbers that?

If you do leave them on the ground

They actually don't turn green

Because they're hidden from the Sun so they actually get more exposed to the Sun and are able to get much greener

I've always had them had them up there, but I'm sure you know

let let me know in the comments if you see if you ever seen any of those before what I'll show you basically it's very

Easy the materials that you need to do it the steps that you need to do it and then also some tips

You know kind of some ideal practices to do with it. Let's gather the materials that you'll actually need to do this project

So one of the first things that you'll need is you'll actually need

3/4 inch electrical can do it. You can get this down at your local hardware store

Basically, you just want to go in and make sure that it's that a disc, you know

You want to make sure it's rigid because it doesn't need to stand up to you know, some winds and you know

Obviously use that you're gonna have four and plus though the weight of the vegetables when you do have them on there

It doesn't want to be somewhat that's strong. You can find this

you know, it's 3/4 inch is the one that I use then the next thing you also want to get is the

90-degree

Corner bracket, there's different variations of this

You know what? I suggest when you go down there make sure this actually fits in your can do it as well

But you can get some that have screws on it and get some that has basically ones with an Allen wrench

Which is one of those hexagon?

Screw things so you can also do that as well one of those that will have on there just so you know

Anything that out that I go over in here?

I'll put the notes in the

Description if you want to take a look at those and links to where you can find those, you know

You get you get one of these and you know, these are gonna be used to put for the angles

So for this one

You'll actually need two of them for that and you'll also need enough can do it basically to you know to build something

That's about six feet tall and then I would say somewhere around four feet

I mean it really depends on your garden

But you can I would I would do four feet I wanted to do too much

On there because you want to make sure it's not too heavy and it's supporting it you're gonna need enough

Electrical can do it now. You can have the actual hardware store

They can actually cut the piping for you if you do ask them

So you want to make sure that you tell them your measurements and if you don't actually have it you you want to use?

What's called a a pipe cutter here is one of the the pipe cutters that that I use to cut this I would say that

you're gonna need at least, you know, six twelve feet and then another four foot so you're gonna need about

16 feet for each pipe, you know where you're cutting. This is six feet by four feet

But obviously if you want to do is something a little bit different than just make sure you have those measurement

So the next thing that you also need you'll actually need the trellis netting

What I like to do is get the one that has the the violin netting and you know again this I'll put the link in

The this down below the the thing you also need to put this in the ground is actually a rebar again

These are fun of your local hobby which was but there'll also be some

you know links in it and below just so you can see what it is, but I think this one is

It's like two feet

I mean this is plenty plenty of the length that actually needs to go in here is is planing again in your ground

Some of the tools that you need is you'll need an actual mallet or a hammer

I just use a hammer, but you can use a mallet as well

You'll also need some

scissors to cut the netting and

You also need

you know a screwdriver if you if you don't have the axe the

the allen wrench version of that you'll need the screwdriver to actually

You know screw in actual

Piping and then also tape measure if you if you just want to measure in case you want to have a different size for it

Alright, let's show you what you need to do to get to get this put together

Alright, so once you get all your pieces all cut out and everything

What you want to do is you want to do a dry fitting of everything just to make sure that it does

You know come in here and everything fits in nicely

and so you either screw it in with your screwdriver or you use your

your allen wrench to squeeze in and then you want to stand it up and then you want to bring it over to where you

Want to put it in your garden some actual tips as far as where you want to place these

You do want to place this on the north side of your garden

And the reason is for that is that it will create a shade barrier for

You know for that because of the way the Sun comes in this and it goes over the south

So you want to make sure that it is on the north side of your garden that way they're all your other vegetables aren't

Shaded for this so make sure that you have a good location for it and that you that you know, keep that in mind

I mean if you do want to have them shaded like if you use for lettuce, or

Other crops that don't mind the shade then you know, that's fine

you can put it wherever you need to but I

would suggest you that if you're growing other things like peppers and squash and things like that you want to make sure that they have

plenty of Sun

so let me show you basically what I do to get it in in the actual garden and

Put it up and then we'll set up the trellis as well. Okay?

So after you can have everything all cut out

the next thing you want to do is you want to get your rebar and your ham or email it and then you want to

Basically find the place in your garden for this that you want to put it

So, you know

as I said you want to make sure that it's on the northern side if you're trying to be wary of the the

you know the Sun and everything basically what I do is just

Hammer the rebar in and I kind of just made sure I took my actual frame itself and then I placed it where you know

the actual

Frame comes you know for that and then you want to take your rebar and just hammer it in

Kind of make sure that it's in the right place before you really get it in there good

Now if for some reason that you can actually hammer it all the way into the ground

Because you might have some you know, rocky soil or some clay soil like like we have here you can you know

Make this a little bit shorter

you can have the the garden center also cut these for you or you can get a

Shorter version of this but the good thing about these is that these are hollow. So I think I only wouldn't went in maybe

maybe a foot or so in the ground and then so once you get that in place you put everything in and you just

Fasten it down like that and it should stand up on its own one of the other things you want to keep in mind

Too is if your gardens in an expose the area

You also might want to secure these a little bit better. You can actually take some some vine

You can actually take some you know, some kind of rope or something like that and fasten it to anything

But I'd be honest fee. I've had it out and I've never had any problems with the wind or anything like that

But if you do want to make sure that that it does stay up and you can't do that's an extra step for it

Just to make sure that it is secure a little bit

But as far as far as if you have the rebar in there

And these these are actual steel they shouldn't they shouldn't go over at all. So let me show you basically some tips on the

Setting up the trellis net itself and and basically how to do it now on this existing one that I have right here

it's I've

Already put it in together

But I'll show you a nice green saving tip for you so that you can save some green at the store

Okay. Now that you've got your your trellis actually set up now the next step is to is to put the netting on it

Here's the netting that I actually used for this and what I did is I only needed five foot by 15

Feet now, here's a little tip. I got a much bigger one actually mines or mines are six feet by

About four feet four notches. It's about six feet by four four or five

So what I mean sure is I got a 15 foot net even though I don't need 15 feet

well

I did You know so I can just buy this once it's actually cheaper to buy a bigger one than it is to buy the actual size

So what I did is I cut it in half so I have about seven and a half feet

Four for each net so when I want to use it again if I need to use it again

Then that were there I already have it

So I only buy it once every other year

But that's a good way to save a little bit of money

if you need to what you want to do is you want to lay this out and um

Each piece will basically have a little fastening. You just want to tie it down

Tie each one on here

You you want to make it a little bit, you know somewhat taunt but not too too too tight or anything

you just want to make sure that they're all tied and it's fastened in and then on the bottom part you can you know you

Can basically have it come all the way down to the ground. I usually have it up a little bit

I have a little space up there because of the you know

The beans and the cucumbers are gonna find the way up there and you're gonna train it on there

So you want to make sure that when you plant to get it's obviously close to the trellis and that you you know

Yeah, it has enough

You know, it's able to grow up there and find the thing, but usually they'll be able to find it

They're pretty smart when it comes to those kind of things

That's really it, you know building a trellis and tell me if you if you if you want to use the trellis

What do you do to what vegetables are you putting on you trials?

Simple And Effective Top Home Remedies To Remove Ear Wax Naturally - Duration: 3:28.

Simple And Effective Top Home Remedies To Remove Ear Wax Naturally.

Ear wax is the body's natural defense system to keep dust, dirt and bacteria out of the

ear canal.

Unfortunately, it sometimes builds up and blocks the canal, causing a loss in hearing.

The solution is simply to remove the excess wax.

The question is how to do that.

Although many people use cotton swabs for digging out wax, the Mayo Clinic says that's

one of the worst ways to try to remove it.

You end up pushing the wax into the canal and packing the wax in harder.

If you're having problems getting rid of ear wax, try one of the remedies below.

1.

Glycerin Glycerin is an old-school remedy that definitely

works.

The Mayo Clinicsays to put a few drops in the ear and let it sit for one to two days.

Then take a rubber bulb and irrigate the ear, flushing out the softened wax.

Be sure to thoroughly dry your ear to prevent infection.

2.

Vinegar Another option is to mix a vinegar, hydrogen

peroxide and water solution.

Healthline recommends a solution of 1 part vinegar, 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 2 parts

water.

Lay down and put a few drops in the ear and wait five minutes.

Sit up and blot the ear dry.

More than one treatment may be needed.

3.

Hydrogen peroxide Hydrogen peroxide appears to be the best option

for getting rid of ear wax as it simply liquefies the wax.

Prevention recommends putting one or two drops of hydrogen peroxide directly into the ear

and waiting 10 minutes.

You can step into the shower or use a bulb to irrigate the ear, flushing out the liquefied

wax.

Dry the ear thoroughly.

4.

Mineral oil Another oldie but goody, mineral oil can be

used to soften the wax for removal.

WebMD says to warm the oil to room temperature before placing it in the ear.

Use two drops twice daily for five days.

Then flush the wax out during a shower or with a bulb syringe.

Dry the ear thoroughly.

5.

Baby oil Baby oil can be used if mineral oil isn't

around.

The Mayo Clinic says to drop a few drops into the ear and let it sit for one to two days

before irrigating with a bulb syringe.

Make sure you dry your ear thoroughly.

6.

Candling Although this has gained a lot of popularity

lately, WebMD says that this is one home remedy that should not be tried.

It has not been proven to work, and many people have been injured from the hot wax.

In addition, you could burn your eardrum.

Ear wax doesn't have to win the battle.

You can try to safely remove excess wax and get your hearing restored at home before paying

a doctor to do the dirty work.

Simple Chicken Curry - Kerala style - Duration: 3:12.

Good evening friends. Today we will see how to prepare a very simple chicken

curry. Let us take a look at the ingredients. For this video

I have taken 500 grams of cleaned chicken, 3 medium onions thinly sliced and 2

tomatoes chopped. For the masala, I have taken 2 tsp fennel seeds, 2 tsp chilli

powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp fennel powder, 3

tsp peppercorns (you may add more or reduce this, according to your taste and

spice), 2 cardamom, a small piece of nutmeg, 3 cloves, 10 garlic pods, 1 medium sized

ginger (approximately 1 and 1/2 inch) and Salt to taste

I have also kept aside 8 to 10 cashew nuts for making a cashew paste which

will be added towards the end. So now let us start the preparation. First of all

take a pan preferably nonstick and heat oil.

Add sliced onions. Once it turns golden brown, add chopped tomatoes.

Keep stirring occasionally till it becomes a thick mushy paste.

Grind the ingredients of masala mix in a blender and add it to pan. Add

salt as per taste. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes till the raw smell goes

off and oil starts forming a layer on the top now. Now add chicken

pieces and coat it with masala. Mix it for about 5 minutes, add 2 to 3 cups

of water. Close the lid and allow it to boil in medium flame

for about 20 minutes. (Generally chicken tends to cook by this time)

Once this is done remove the lid, reduce the flame and add the grounded cashew

paste. You can also add a handful of chopped coriander leaves( For people who don't like it you can skip this)

Stir it for some more time till the gravy becomes thick and mushy.

Remove it from gas. You can serve this with hot steamed rice, chapatis or parottas.

How to create a simple ArcGIS online Story map |Story mapping series - Duration: 11:51.

let's create a simple Arcgis online story map, hi everyone welcome back to my

channel for another tutorial before you continue to watch please take a moment

to hit subscribe below if you haven't already so today we will have a really

quick tutorial on creating a simple story map in my last tutorial for my

story map series we created the web map that would be featured in this story map

so you can check that out at the top of this video right now anyhow let's get

into today's topic so as I mentioned we will create a story map which features a

previously created web map as defined by ESRI story maps lets you combine your

authoritative maps with narrative text images and multimedia content they make

it easy to harness the power of maps and geography to tell your story as defined

by me this is a really awesome way to make a really good presentation as long

as you have internet connection this is a main requirement I suppose

unfortunately so. so this is a quick story map showing the history of poor

distributions across Kingston and just a heads up

this is all fabricated since I am already in my ArcGIS online content page

I can just navigate to my story map section from here I could also just

navigate using the web address storymaps.arcgis.com once there I go to

create a new story under my stories and select a template my favorite is the map

journal but I also like the Cascade template too

I name my story map and add an introduction and decide that I will use

an image as part of my opening slide I could also use a map, a video or even a

web page

a good tip is to write out all the content of your story map before you

start the creation either in a Word document or as I did in notepad that way

you can just copy and paste your narrative when you're actually ready to

start to create your story

so after adding my logo I went ahead and inserted a new section and just to note

each section will always feature a map, image a video or a web page in this case

another image it will also feature some narrative and this part is dependent on

how much you want to write the section that follows this will feature a video

from YouTube

my next section features my web map created for this purpose I include an

overview map and a legend which I can set to open by default

before I add any more sections I configure a few more settings such as

minimizing the width of the side panel I like the small setting the theme as well

as adding my logo and a link to my YouTube page one last thing that I want

to do is to set a custom popup on my web map

so whenever a viewer Scrolls to this map the pop-up opens by default

so in upcoming tutorials look out for the next step in customizing story maps

this is configuring story map actions and more from ArcGIS online and arcgis pro

as usual thank you so much for watching and please don't forget to Like

subscribe and share this tutorial with a friend or colleague who you believe

would benefit from this information also leave a comment down below to let me

know how you like the tutorials or if you have any other tutorials that you'd

like to see thanks again and see you next time

The Football war (1969) - Duration: 5:18.

The Football War - 1969

The Football War was a four day conflict between El Salvador and Honduras in 1969.

El Salvador and Honduras are neighboring countries of Central America.

Although the territory of Honduras is 5x larger than that of El Salvador,

...in 1969, El Salvador had a population of 3.7 million while Honduras had only 2.6 million.

Since El Salvador was overpopulated,

many of its citizens emigrated to Honduras; looking for land to cultivate.

By the end of the 1960's, Salvadorans made up 20% of Honduras' population.

Most of the land cultivated by Salvadorans in Honduras was taken illegally.

In order to meet the demands of dissatisfied domestic farmers,

but without threatening the interests of big agricultural companies:

Honduras President General Oswaldo Lopez Arellano, enacted a land reform law in 1962;

which took most of the Salvadorans' land - in order to be given to Honduras farmers.

These events caused hatred between Hondurans and Salvadorans.

In the following years,

animosity between the two nations grew to the point of open hostilities.

Salvadorans living in Honduras became the target of frequent maltreatment and even murder.

Their properties were taxed by local Hondurans, and many of the Salvadorans were expelled back to El Salvador.

On the other side, El Salvador strongly protested about the maltreatments of their people.

But without any response from the governments of Honduras,

...tensions between the two nations escalated

during the football qualifying matches for the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

Honduras and El Salvador were playing playoff matches for one final World Cup place.

The first match in Honduras on June 8th 1969 was won by the hosts.

With a goal in overtime, which caused anger from Salvadorans who felt robbed.

The match was followed by incidents against local Salvadorans.

The second match in El Salvador took place on June 15th.

Salvadoran fans "welcomed" the Honduras team with

such noise in front of their hotel that players couldn't sleep all night.

The next day, the tired and frightened Honduran players easily lost the game.

To make things worse, the Salvadoran hosts raised a dirty rag in place of the Honduran flag

on the stadium, and beat up guest fans that came to support their teams.

Naturally, the incidents caused a reaction in Honduras, where local Salvadorans were exposed to even larger attacks.

Salvadoran shops were demolished and murder became an everyday occurrence.

Up to 1,400 Salvadorans were expelled to El Salvador per day.

The final decisive playoff match took place on June 26th 1969 in Mexico City.

El Salvador won the game after extra time.

On the following day, the Salvadoran government terminated all diplomatic relations with Honduras.

Hostilities began on July 14th 1969.

El Salvador sent three passenger Douglas C-47s armed with explosives, followed by

F4U Corsairs to bomb Honduras's main airports in Toncontín.

On July 15th, El Salvador launched a ground offensive; attacking Honduras from the north and east.

For the operation, El Salvador deployed infantry, artillery and mechanized units.

The response came on the same day:

Honduras sent T-28 Trojans, F-41s(?) and F4U Corsairs to attack

El Salvador's main airport and oil storehouses in port of La Unión.

Even though Salvadorans quickly found themselves without fuel and ammo,

they were eager to attack the Honduran capital of Tegucigalpa - since they had a much smaller army.

The Honduras government appealed to the Organization of American States (OAS) to intervene.

Under the threat of economic sanctions, the Salvadorans were pressured by the OAE - to stop their offensive.

On July 18th, El Salvador and Honduras agreed to a ceasefire.

However, it was not until August 2nd that Salvadoran units left Honduras.

The peace treaty was signed 11 years later in 1980, but it never solved the problems between the two nations.

Many expelled Salvadorans never returned back to Honduras.

Those who remained, were still being maltreated and brutalized.

Make $140 Per Day With 2 Simple Tweaks ! - Duration: 7:18.

Hey what's up Razvan here welcome to another video and on today so I'll be

Sharing with you a very nice way to earn one hundred and forty dollars per day

But before we get into the video I am quickly inviting you to check the link

In the description box so you can get access to my number one system that I'm

Currently using make extra income online and also very important don't forget to

Check that subscribe button and click on the bell icon so you can get notified

Every single time when I upload a new video with a new way for you to make

Money from home so without further ado let's get right into the video so in

Today's video we don't be talking about textbroker now hold on I know what

You're gonna say I don't want the transcriptions I don't like doing it I

Don't have experience and so on now for those of you that don't know what things

With Textbroker you're gonna earn money by transcribing audio files or

Video files now I've seen online very a couple of tweaks let's put it that way

one of the most popular one was using your own microphone in a Google Doc

Will be I will be sharing that with you as well but I also have a second week

Which is the most profitable and that one is gonna make you earn a lot of

Money now Textbroker they are going to pay you for writing content now let's

Just quickly go here I write content and payments now based on your quality of

The word there is a different price point like a two-star rating they're

Gonna give you zero point seven cents per word and a five-star rating I'm

Gonna give you another five cents per word so on average what I actually

Noticed is that people tend to speak up to 150-160 words per minute so if we are

Going to be able to transcribe like a 10-minute video or an audio which

Contains 16 16 bit or 16 words per minute that's 1,600 words in that video

Now let's see how much you can earn for mount 1.6 K and let's put a average

Quality of four stars so that's 22 dollars now the first week as as I said

And you are actually seeing on on YouTube most likely in many videos is

Using Google Docs and your microphone to transcribe the video and how that works

Is basically you're either gonna take your speakers and put them very closely

To your mic or simply put a headset and transcribe the video without typing and

What I mean by that is going here on Google Docs okay and go to tools voice

Typing and let's and let's try it out "I don't do transcriptions because I

Don't like it." All right so this is kind of the entire process gonna have to

Listen the video about the audio file and use the mic and write an entire

Article this is very time-consuming you have to come back to the video to the

Sorry to the the file itself because Google might messed up . It might

Mess some words I actually tried it I actually run a test before I record this

Video for you guys and for example instead of tweaks he actually typed

Weeks so that's what I said when is that is time-consuming because you have to

Come back to the to the file and do the editing

Now the second tweak they're actually like the most and you're gonna be able

To make a lot of money but as I said up to $140 per per day it's actually go on

Fiverr if you don't know what it is it's a marketplace and online

Marketplace where freelancers freelancers put their services at a 5

Dollar minimum cost okay so we're gonna go here and type what we are actually

Interested in and that is video transcription okay and now I'm gonna go

And sort by best best selling what do you want to do here is actually find

Five star reviews seller which which also have a lot of work

So that means actually it's a good quality we put a tea seller so I'm gonna

Go here for five dollars over 1.1 K reviews

Okay so she'll provide I'll provide quality transcription for any English

Audio or video up to 10 minutes so basically we're gonna have to pay me

Five dollars okay to this person to transcribe us a

Video the ten minute video now as I said in ten minutes that's actually around

1.6 K words now it really depends on maybe on some videos might be more words

On on the on other videos may be less it's really depending here now going

Back here and I want to see her ratings basically has five star over and over

1.1 K Reviews which is with actually that doesn't mean she only has one thousand

Words that means that over one thousand people

Who bought from her actually let the review now I'm not

Promoting this person in any way this is just an example alright so let's go here

About her reviews the seller always deliver professional

Transcriptions fast so does it's excellent

Everything was great he also what you might want to avoid is try to go to the

Comments also because maybe some people actually buying reviews or yeah it's

Online and some people's do it so take time to talk with with the person itself

You can contact them and ask them for for a custom game now depending on what

Media they have to transcribe and so on but let's take with the with a 10-minute

Part video so you're gonna have to pay for five dollars okay and for five

Dollars now if she's gonna deliver a very good quality service and you get a

Five star rating that's $80 give - five

You do the math $75 pure profit for you and if you're gonna be able to at least

Take two orders per day that that's one hundred and fifty dollars per per day

Home Solutions Made Simple: Outdoors and Indoors - Duration: 19:11.

- [Narrator] Today on Designing Spaces,

we're outdoors upgrading fencing with

a new and improved look.

When you're outdoors, sometimes you can't avoid

those pesky mosquitoes.

We've got just the solution.

Ready to head indoors?

We have lighting options for your home

and speaking of light, need to let the light

in or keep it out?

Innovative treatments for your windows.

That and more as we get designing.

(upbeat music) Meet Mark, salesman, father,

and all around pet lover.

Mark loves to come home from work,

relax and sit outside while his kids play

and his animals run around.

We've had this home for all of 40 years.

It's a generational home.

My wife grew up in this house and

this is the original fence that we've had

since she's been a little girl and it's the original fence.

It's getting old, it's getting rusty, it's broken down.

A few of the other problem spots that we have

is there's some hardware cloth down here

that I had to install in the bottom of the fence

where the animals would get out.

I've had to take this piece of board which is warped.

There's another spot down here.

I was really dragging my feet over

the last several years over this project

and realized it was really time to get going,

but how do I start that process?

I started looking online.

I went to lowes.com and I found a really great fence

that I thought would be perfect for my home.

I went to Lowe's.

I went to the fencing section and found

the Ironcraft fence and talked to the Lowe's folks

and said this is what I want from my home.

Can they come and do the measurements

and give me an estimate for what it

would cost to put around my home?

After they showed up to the home and

they did the measurements and told me what it would costs,

to me it was an absolute no-brainer.

That sounds great.

Let's do it.

I'm looking forward to it.

- Once you decide to make a purchase, the fencing,

whether it's our fencing from Ironcraft

or someone else's fencing, you always have to

make sure that you check with your

local building codes, especially for pools and/or any

other kind of commercial application the

consumer's gonna do because you gotta

make sure that you basically follow the ordinances.

Installing the fence is a very simple process.

The installers come, they clear everything out,

and they install the new fence with very little

disruption to the homeowner and to the neighbors.

In a couple days, you end up with an

added value to your home with a new fence

and you can start enjoying your outdoors.

- [Narrator] Ironcraft also offers the no dig fence line.

- The no dig fence is a very easy DIY project

that any consumer can do and it's

stocked at all the Lowe's stores.

- I'm very proud of my plant garden that I created here,

but I really wanna fence it in because sometimes there's

animals that come here.

I'm going to DIY it.

I don't feel like I need a contractor or anything.

I think I can do it myself with a very to install fence.

I've got all the pieces and I'm ready to put it up.

- The unique thing about this product

is you can go from heights of about two feet

almost up to four feet and it transitions very smoothly.

The nice thing about it is you can

install it with a simple hammer, a rubber mallet, and a two by

four, and anybody can do it.

The easy thing about this is it takes no measuring

'cause you could use the panels to measure,

it takes no digging the holes like

you would with residential or commercial fence

because the spikes actually go into the ground

and you hammer those spikes and then the

post actually goes inside the spike.

The post holds the panels up therefore,

it's a very, very easy and simple process

for any DIYer to do over a weekend.

- All done!

This no dig fence took no time at all,

maybe just a few hours and it looks incredible.

My plants look beautiful with it and I'm very proud that

I did it all by myself.

(upbeat guitar music) - This really was a

stress-free process.

My kids and enjoying this, my animals enjoy this,

I'm enjoying this.

We really did make the right choice.

Absolutely loving our new fence.

- [Narrator] To learn more, go to ironcraftfences.com

or our website, designingspaces.tv.

(upbeat acoustic guitar music) - My name is Susanna and I'm an

Associate Director here at Camp Live Oak.

As a camp counselor, I love getting the kids out in nature.

During camp we have a great nature arts and crafts program.

We like to use found objects such as shells

or some small acorns.

We also will go to the beach and we do great activities like

canoeing, archery, fishing.

We're so excited each summer for summer camp.

My job is to make sure that everybody's prepared

and ready to have a great, safe summer.

Let's do a backpack check, okay?

Towel?

- Check.

- Water?

- Check!

- Sunscreen?

- Check.

- Insect repellent?

Check!

- My favorite thing at camp is going to the beach

and doing art.

- We have anywhere from three to I would say about 200 campers

per week during the summer.

As a camp counselor, it's really important

to let the kids be outside and explore.

Alright guys, are we ready?

- Yes.

- Alright, come on!

- I personally probably spend close

to about maybe 300 out of 365 days outside

because besides working at camp, I just love being

outside with my family.

We do get a bit of mosquitoes and

since we're very close to the beach,

we also get no see-ems.

- Why are they called no see-ems?

- Because you don't see them.

- Oh I get the joke.

- You can hardly see them, hence they're called no see-ems,

but they come out in the morning and then the evening time.

Along with the mosquitoes, they're a little bit more of a

nuisance during the summer.

- The mosquitoes like me a lot but

I don't like the mosquitoes.

- We always tell the parents to make sure that they pack

insect repellent for the kids.

We tell them to apply it before they come to camp

and then to pack it in their backpack

and then throughout the day, our camp counselors are able to

help them reapply after swimming or after sports.

It's great, even though maybe the mosquitoes aren't so bad

or the no seem-ems, it's always just nice to have

a little protection for them.

(upbeat acoustic guitar music) It's super important

to stay hydrated, protected from the sun, and

protected from the insects.

I've been a camp director for over 10 years

so I know a lot about bug bites.

I love OFF! botanicals because it doesn't

leave a stick residue, it doesn't smell, and it works.

(upbeat music) Alright guys, you

ready to go home?

- [Kids] Yes.

- Did we have a great day today or what?

- [Kids] Yes!

- What was your favorite part?

- The hike.

- The hike.

Mine too.

(upbeat guitar music)

(upbeat music) - My name is Alena Capra.

I'm an interior designer and I own my own design firm,

Alena Capra Designs.

I've been living in this condo.

This is 12 years now which sounds crazy but,

it's seen a lot of changes.

Currently you are looking at the most recent design.

When I think about the one thing that I haven't really worked

on in here is the lighting, but that's where

I've been struggling and I really wanna do something

to brighten up the space.

One of the greatest things about lighting

is that it's one of the only design elements

that long after the room is designed,

the paint is dried, the furniture is in,

you can still sort of change that

and tweak it to really create a better

ambiance in the room.

If you have to modify or make something

a little warmer in tone or a little cooler in tone,

you can do that and that's what so great about the lighting.

My friend Mike works in the industry.

He works with Phillips Hue and he suggested that

in order to really brighten up the space

and do better lighting options, than I look into the Phillips

Hue smart lighting collection and he offered to stop by

and help me set it all up.

Hey Mike.

How are you?

- Come on in.

- Good, how are you?

- The hue portfolio is actually a really large portfolio.

We have a light fixture for almost

every single space of the home.

That also means we have some bulbs

but also non-bulbs and fixtures.

That's what I came here to help kind of

show her some of the new intricacies

of the system that she was not well aware of.

- Let's take a closer look at the

style and layout of my space to determine my home's

lighting needs.

This is the dining room area.

It's kind of situated right by the windows

so I love that there's natural light,

but I also like to be able to get

great lighting when I'm having a meal in the evening.

I also sometimes do work here so it also needs to function

as a work space as well, which is why I would

like good light.

Since I don't have recessed ceiling lighting

in the main living area, the ability to be

able to control different levels of light

and have some lamps here, a ceiling fixture here,

another lamp over by the sofa, allows me to kind

of pick and select the kind of lighting mood I want

whether it's in the day time and I want some brighter

light for say doing work or if it's in the evening and I

want it to be a little bit more dim and cozy.

While I did the best that I could

with the lighting in the room, I tried to spread out,

kind of layer the lighting and have it in different areas

to make the room more cohesive, but there's definitely a

lot of room for improvement so I'm looking forward to

kind of making some changes and getting a better

output of light and some more convenience with

the lighting in this space.

- Most people will get started with Hue

with one of our starter kits.

Comes with everything you need to get started for one room.

Get that set up and if you like it,

then extend to the next room, to the next room,

to the next room.

Alena, she didn't wanna just do one room with a home,

she wanted to do her entire home at the same time.

- [Alena] I opened up all the boxes,

got started in the process, screwed in all the new light

bulbs, changed them all out, plugged in he router

to the bridge, downloaded the app, and within

seconds at my fingertips I had this amazing

system to change out all the different hues

of lighting in my home.

- What's really cool with the Hue system is

not only does it have different shades of white light,

but also has full color spectrum as well

with 16 million colors.

What paint with light allows you to do

is to really transform that space.

Now not just helping you wake up or helping you go to sleep,

but now it really kind of allows you to express yourself.

Whether you wanna have the whole room red,

or a nice party that you're having, or holiday season,

turn it to colors of blue, you can really pick and choose

whatever you wanna do with this space and again,

transform it just with lighting alone.

Whether it's your app or through your voice,

it really allows you to have that

fun experience with lights.

Now lighting is as simple as telling

Google or Alexa or Siri, turn my lights on

or turn my lights off.

- This is honestly one of the coolest things.

So easy to set up and so many options.

From a design standpoint, lighting is one of the most

important things in the space.

Good lighting makes or breaks the

look of a room and the feel of a room.

Sometimes you really want that right

ambiance in the space and that is controlled

by the right lighting.

(music) - Hi, I'm Holly.

These are my daughters, these are my nephews,

and this is our crazy house.

- [Narrator] Life in the Mistouriti house

can get pretty hectic, especially when it

comes to cleaning.

- She gets mad all the time when she cleans.

(upbeat banjo music) - [Narrator] One big

issue for homeowner Holly was when the family

had traditional blinds.

- [Holly] With traditional blinds,

you have to worry about the cords,

the children getting tangled in the cords.

They used to try to hide behind them

and I was always scared that they were going to get injured.

- [Narrator] Enter Innovia blinds

between the glass from Intigral.

- We offer a full line of products that really

can go into any household or commercial project.

We offer lift and tilt blinds, tilt only, Venetian,

roller, and pleated.

We even have some home automation systems as well.

There's so many benefits of blinds between the glass.

First of all, your blinds are between the glass

so you're not gonna be cleaning them.

It's safer if you have children, animals running around.

- This blind, you're starting to see a lot more of.

This is an SSLT, or a single side lift and tilt blind.

With this, you still have a Venetian blind

so you have the metal slots.

We can tilt in and we can raise it

completely up out of the way.

- [Narrator] While the Mistouriti family

enjoys the safety of Innovia blinds,

Sheila Thomas is all about the ease.

- This blind is marvelous.

I love it.

- [Narrator] As an arthritis sufferer,

Sheila likes that she doesn't have difficult cords to pull.

- Pulling the blinds up, if they were very long blinds,

pulling them up with the cord hurt my hands.

It's hard to pull them 'cause the

cords are generally pretty thin.

- [Narrator] Not having to dust is also an added bonus.

- The air quality is much better since

we've installed the blinds.

There isn't all that dust resting on them.

- These blinds are going to last you a really long time.

They have been cycle tested 290000 times.

These are all made right here in the USA.

- We filled out a form online and

they put us in touch with a local installer

who came out and measured everything

and did all the install and everything

just went like a breeze.

- [Narrator] Innovia blinds between the glass

are also a great option for sliding glass doors,

perfect when you own a pool like the Richmonds.

- We moved to northeast Ohio about nine years ago.

We moved from my husband's work and we loved the area,

we loved the community, we loved the location.

We originally were gonna put curtains all the way across

and that was just too much to get in the way with the kids.

These are perfect.

They open and they close.

You don't have to worry about them getting dirty, dusty.

They look fantastic and you don't

have to worry about the kids getting tangled or any damage.

- [Narrator] Intigral also has products

for customers looking for smart home innovation

via their Innovia and ScreenLine brands.

- This one is called our swipe system.

You can simply swipe the blind and the blind will

work automatically.

It's run off of a battery pack so it's motorized

and it has a rechargeable battery.

You can stop it wherever you want,

you can operate it, you can even take this blind

and put it on a remote control.

The most advanced blind that we have is this system here.

First off, it's a wired solution so you

do have to wire this into a home control system,

but you can control it through some of the latest technologies.

You can take a tablet and you can

actually operate the blind that way.

You can even tie this into a smart home system

so it can be voice controlled.

Everything that you saw here today,

you can put in Venetian or in a pleated shade

all the way up to blackout.

- [Narrator] To learn more about Innovia

and ScreenLine brands, go to intigral.com

or visit designingspaces.tv.

- We've lived in this house for two years now,

right before our third child was born.

- Life in general with three children is somewhat chaotic.

On a good day, I might get an hour

to work on something and it might be one day a week.

The bathrooms are probably priority number 45, 46, and 47

on my list of to-dos.

- [Narrator] And that's where we come in,

calling in Mansfield Plumbing to help

give the Duesings some bathroom botox.

- It's a tough time right now for them.

They've got old toilets, some of them are inefficient.

One of them doesn't flush all the way and they both plug up.

- [Narrator] Enter the vanquish toilet,

a revolutionary new design starting

with side mounted seat hinges that make it easy to clean.

- That flat deck surface on the back.

When the tinkle does turn a sprinkle,

you can wipe it off real easily.

Pureclean glaze so it rinses well

and then that real powerful flush mechanism that we have.

I'm really excited that this is gonna be a great solution.

I think it's gonna solve a lot of their issues.

- [Narrator] A plumber gets to work

removing the old toilets while stylist Lindsay Laura

works with the family on design ideas

for both the kid's bathroom upstairs

and the guest bath downstairs.

- [Husband}] It looks good.

- Number one, you'll see it's an elongated bowl

and a high height so it's a very comfortable seat to be in.

We talked about it early on, is this no hinge seat.

We've taken the seat hinges off the top of this.

- Easy clean, that's amazing.

I didn't think when I heard side hinges,

I didn't really understand 'til I saw it.

- I want you to watch this flush.

It's a very simple lever on the side.

You get a full flush.

It looks like you got a lot more water

going through than you really do so it's still the 1.6 gallon.

All of that toilet paper that you

talked about gets pushed through.

- [Narrator] With a soft close feature,

that means no more slamming the lid.

- That toilet is really solving every single one of the

problems that we have as parents with kids who

can't flush and are messy.

- [Narrator] Finally, it's time for the big reveal upstairs.

- Wow! (loud gasp)

It's so pretty!

We love it!

It looks like a whole new bathroom.

- [Husband] It's a bright space now and it's nice and fresh.

- [Wife] Functional too.

- [Narrator] Then the guest bathroom is revealed.

- Wow!

They're so excited.

They're gonna love it and I'm gonna love

not having to pick up after them and

they're gonna love not getting yelled at.

- Dansfield, thank you very much for unclogging our lives.

(couple chuckles) - [Narrator] For
