News on Youtube Jun 3 2018

hi guys for those of you just tuning in I'm Jillian Butler and I want to welcome

you to my youtube channel I have to start off by letting you all know that

I've really appreciated all of your comments and your questions I love it so

keep connecting and I'll post things you've been asking for in the next

couple of months I'll be working on video tutorials for my chocolate cake

recipe featured in my top 5 moist cake tips video so subscribe if you want to

know when that's coming up plus I'll be taking you to the Cakery for a virtual

tour in another video but today I'm really excited to bring to you a classic

American favorite dessert before I tell you which one I'll tell you a little bit

about myself I'm obviously Australian but I grew up

half my life in America Dallas Texas to be more specific

Homa cowboys and cowgirls yeehaw can't believe I did that

anyway I still have a lot of family and friends there and before moving back

home I had the proverbial lightbulb moment where I realized that I wanted to

be a pastry chef or maybe a domestic goddess actually no probably just a

professional Baker let's go with that but anyway I just wanted to let you know

why I'm making videos about pies and baking and all things sweet and

delicious

actually it's probably the best option

so the classic pie that I'll be showing you is none other than my mile-high

Granny Smith apple pie served warm with scintillating spices including cinnamon

because it is my favorite Crisp apple and sweet crunchy crust so without

further ado here's the video this is my expresses best recipe for mile-high

Granny Smith apple pie have your dry ingredients in a bowl add your cold

cubed butter and shortening and get in there with your fingers and squeeze the

fats into the flour until it looks like small peas and sand it's okay that

there's a few lumps of fat left because that will add to the flaky layers for

your pie add some but not all of your iced water and mix it up until it just

comes together wrap the dough in plastic and chill for at least 30 minutes put

your dough on the table and press it flat then roll it out to a fairly thin

round sheet today's awesome tip take your pie dough and roll it onto your

rolling pin and then lay it over your pie dish right not sure if you're

wondering why I'm using a disposable foil pie tin in this tutorial I have

dozens of beautiful pie dishes that I could be using and showing off to you

right well the fact is that when you bring dessert to a friend's house the

last thing you want to do is to ask them to stop their conversation or their

dance or whatever they're doing go and clean your beautiful pie dish because

you want to take it home with you or the dreaded keep it till you finish response

because you know it'll be months before you see it again my hot tip for today is

keep your beautiful dishes for your parties at home and bring disposable

pythons to your friends and family no mess no fuss no beggin for the dish

later on trim the dough to the rim of your pie dish then take the leftovers

then roll it out again take a knife or what I'm using which is a pastry wheel

and cut strips of dough and chill both the base

and the strips until you finish with your fillings what a cool contraption an

apple core it peels slices and cores at the same time cut them into quarters and

add the juice of one lemon

now it's spice time cinnamon mixed spices and sugar then use

your fingers to lift and combine the flavors together fill your pie base with

as much Apple as you can and then lay the strips of dough in a crisscross

pattern there's a fancy way to do it in a traditional proper lattice weave but

I'm gonna keep it simple and do it all one direction first and then go back and

do my cross direction glue your strips down with egg wash and give it another

coat to stick the raw sugar to this pie is going to have a crunchy sweet flaky

pastry that will stand up to the coldest of ice creams bake in a preheated 180

degrees celcius oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown

hey thanks so much for watching the video if you have any questions or

comments please put them in the comments below and I'll try to answer them as

soon as I can and if you want to know when new stuff is coming

Betfair scalping with a simple Bet Angel Servant - Duration: 11:26.

so you've seen me mention a few times about semi automating our trading and

the advantage of that being that you can focus on the market and betangel can

fill in the order entry and order exit process for you so looking in a market

at Kempton here they're loading at the moment there's a few horses still out so

what you can do is you can focus on which runner you're particularly

interested in within this market use whatever analysis you like and because

I'm using a servant here this means that that can manage the

entry and exit I don't even need to click specifically at where I want to

enter or exit I can just click somewhere just say right it's the second favorite

here regicide that I want to be active on Bettinger will put the vet in for me

now you see here it's backed at five point five wait for this to get matched

but you can see the price ticked out to five point five whereas because I backed

first I went to the price to come in so it's just put the order back in on the

other side this is a really simple servant but the advantage of the way

that this servant is working and behaving is that you focus on the trade

and the servant will focus on the execution for you whether that be entry

or exit or as you can see here it's just done both for us so let's have a look at

how we created this servant please like and comment on the video

below that will allow me to produce better quality videos and more of them

in the future if you're interested in learning to trade successfully in sports

then why not visit the BET angel' Academy where we have more detailed

videos so let's go in and create a servant and because we want to do an

offset by one tick you have to think through the process of exactly what

you're going to do and how you're going to do it so if I create a new rules file

on the servant that will bring up a blank editor and basically we're going

to have to you can there's so much depth that you could do pretty much anything

so we're gonna do something really simple that will allow you to build and

and you know make it more complex according to your needs but you can do

pretty much anything but we're going to keep it simple for you

be aware I've done this in practice mode you should do two because if you're

using automation you don't it to go mad and wipe out your bank so it's better to

do in practice mode refine test make sure it's working the way that you

expect before you unleash it on the markets so what I'm going to do here is

this rule is going to do a bit of scalping for us but what we're going to

do is we're going to be looking for the price to be coming in so the first if

we're looking for the price coming the first thing we need to do is to place a

back bit so this is why I'm calling this particular rule within this automation

rules file plays a back of it and we're going to say place a bag bet it's going

to be always armed and it's going to trigger once and there's no need for it

to wait because it's only triggering once but we need to tell it what we want

it to do we're going to place it custom ticks above that the back price of what

we're saying here is if I go into the market it's going to basically place a

back bet one above wherever the current price is so on Betfair the back bet in

this particular race is seven point eight if you want to back it's going to

place it at eight you can see because we've reversed the odds display its

it's it's gonna be a little bit confusing if you're not used to this but

basically what getting better angel to do via the servant is to place a back a

bit here and if the price moves then it will adjust it but it will place it at

the best available price on this side of the column that's what we're doing here

I'm gonna get it to do fill or kill bits so we're going to hold it in the market

for 600 seconds and then I mean it's up to you if you want I was just thinking

do we really want to do it for 600 seconds

but if or they do for the purposes of this demonstration I will do it for 600

but you may want to modify that then what we're going to do is that is our

opening position if I show you what that does we need to save this as well so we

call this something I'm going to call it a1 so it appears at the top of the list

that we've got a 1 my scalp e servant and that will appear at the top of the

list which you'll see in a second I'll just close this and there it is there

and if I click anywhere basically in this particular market on any particular

runner you can see it places a back bit so I don't actually have to go in then I

have to waste its time chasing the price up and down I can just point it at a

particular runner and then it will place it at the best available price so you

can see it's done that immediately for us there and I'll just exit that and

I'll do it again and you can see it's done one for us there I'll just exit

that but basically wherever we click it will place a back bet at the best

available price within that market map because we're very close to the start of

this race I'm just going to cancel these positions out and we'll go into this

race itself and probably expand what we're doing on the next race because if

this race goes off we don't really want to be in the market when that happens so

let's switch to the next race and we'll continue walking from here but we've

created the first part here which is basically the ability to place a back a

bit and we can focus on which run are interested in we can look at the charts

look at the pictures and then the servant will actually just place it at

whatever price we are regardless of wherever we sit on that ladder we could

sit right at the bottom and be clicking on the low side at 4.6 and you can see

it's placing a back bet and that is because we're using a servant and if I

press the ctrl key and left-click it will execute what the servant it's

designed to do which is to place a back bet on this particular occasion

so when we looked at the previous servants what we were doing is we were

placing a back bet in the market and that was it but obviously when you're

trading you need to place a closing bet into the market as well so that's what

we're going to do when we modify the servant now so at the moment all that

does is press back that we want it to place a lay bet so let's go in and do

that if I go into the control area bring up the servant that we're working on and

then edit that particular file so you can see here it's got placer back bet so

what we need to do is get it to place a lay bet so if I just copy that initial

line that we have in file there and I'm gonna say place a lay bet I'm just doing

this because it's slightly faster place a lay bet always armed which is what we

want and we also want it to place custom ticks but we want to say that this is

now below the best market price so previously it was going as high as it

could on this line we want it to go as low as it can on this line so that's for

saying one tick below but I'm also going to do is not put fill or kill bets on

because this is saying the initial orders been matched let's place an order

to close this particular trade so if I apply that then you can see what we've

done is we're going to place a lay bet always armed below one tick below the

current market price for a fixed amount and that's all that we're going to do

now if you wanted to place a lay bet you could actually use global settings and

do an offset bed and offset it by one tick and that would work just as well

because then you just have to look at which selection you're going to actively

work on but the reason I'm doing it this way is to show you some of the power

that you can get with 7/7 will do pretty much anything that you want and we're

going to do a very simple implementation of it here to get you to sort of ease

you into it but they can do pretty much anything that you want and you can apply

many different rules to them and make them do some very clever things the

world get you started at the basics first

so what I need to do is apply a condition because we don't want it to

place a labor if the back bit hasn't been matched that doesn't sort of make

any sense so in order to say to it place the lay bet when the back bed has been

a-been matched what we need to do is apply a condition to it so if I go into

here and apply a condition what we're going to be doing is we're going to say

the matched bets amount of condition so you can see here the total amount of

your back bits is greater than the total amount if your lay bets plus zero so

it's basically saying do you have more back bits in the market then you have

lay bets in which case your back bit must have been matched and therefore

this condition is met so in order to get you to understand exactly what's going

on here let's put this roll into the market and see what happens so if I go

into this market I just need to select which runner I'm interested in I'm going

to point it over here press control because if we look at the shortcut ctrl

and left click is what we're doing here then you can see it places a back bit in

the market when that gets matched which this will do in a second and it places

labor but can you see what it did there because the price didn't move down when

the back bit got matched did immediately scratch the order so let's try it on the

favorite here put it in at 149 and you can see against let's try again but the

reason that it's scratching it is because the price is consistently going

against us so it would be a bad trade and as a consequence really you don't

want to be in that trade for any length of time so can you see the effect that

this has in terms of the way that it's acting within the market so now the

prices come back up to meet us at 151 see if we can get matched on this come

on somebody took a slug of money and it's

just dumped the position back in the into the market so this is saving us

from having a trade that is negative it's immediately putting the order back

into the market at a level at which it will dump the trade so we can pepper the

market with orders and if the position goes one against us then it will

automatically puts that position in a in a put the closing position in a place

where we will not lose money and we can repeat the trade as many times as we

like with the advantage of knowing that if we pepper the market with orders it's

not going to be a major issue for us because if the author looks like they

are going against us then it will just close that position out so you can see

that while this didn't get us into a profitable position it stopped us from

getting into a potentially loss-making position and that's where doing

something like this is very beneficial

you

3 Flavors Mix #12 – Simple Custard [A Full Flavor Cream Custard Eliquid Recipe] - Duration: 4:03.

Goodday and welcome, I'm john from diy eliquid recipes, and this is a new 3 flavor eliquid

I have prepared for you.

It is an easy vanilla custard mix that you will definitely like if you enjoy custard

eliquids.

So this is simple custard, a 3 flavors mix edition.

As always in this series I'm trying to create full flavor eliquids while using 3 flavors

only.

This is made possible by using concentrates that are originally created by the manufacturer

to deliver a complete flavor just alone.

For today's recipe all the main flavors are going to be from flavorwest.

This is not a sponsored recipe, I just find that these 3 flavors I used today, work very

well together and complement each other great, while also they subscribe to the original

complete flavor requirement.

Also since they are all in very similar concentration strength, it makes it easier adjusting and

fine tuning the final recipe to your liking by going up or down by around 1% each time

on any flavor you need more or less of.

So before saying anything else, here is the recipe so we are on the same page.

The Bavarian cream is the base of the recipe, with the butterscotch mainly helping with

the body of the eliquid since you will barely taste it, and the yellow cake in the end is

also helping the body to taste more full but also adds a small boost to the vanilla flavor

of the Bavarian cream making this recipe taste closer to a custard rather than a cheesecake

or light cream.

The last 2 additives are optional but if you have them as always I would recommend adding

them in.

All together this is a very balanced and flavorful eliquid.

You will taste a lot of cream and a nice thick vape body with a taste that will linger in

your mouth after each exhale.

As a side note, I would have to say that the thick flavor of this eliquid is mainly based

on the diacetyl these flavors include.

Since flavorwest doesn't have light or diacetyl free concentrates, all the flavors in this

recipe contain some levels of acetoin and diacetyl.

It is not a high or dangerous amount but I'm including this just in case, as side note

for your information.

Now about steeping, I would recommend steeping this eliquid for about 10 days.

It needs some time to settle and blend, so you will find it a little harsh tasting if

you vape it too early.

Though there is a maximum amount of steeping too, and I would not recommend leave it longer

than 1 month to steep since it might start fading.

The flavor as I described earlier is very custard like.

You will mainly taste a creamy eliquid with a lot of sweet vanilla aftertaste.

It is a nice tasting and easy to make recipe that I would recommend trying if you have

these flavors.

I also have to say that I cannot recommend any alternative flavors but that doesn't

mean you can't try.

But I should say at least that using the tfa Bavarian cream won't work for sure.

Maybe the vanilla custard from Capella is a little closer to this Bavarian cream's

taste.

In any case, if you make this recipe leave us your thoughts and notes in the comments.

I appreciate seeing you here until the end.

And I'll see you again, next time.

Betfair trading - Two simple trades that anybody can do - Duration: 11:07.

so it's been another decent week on the markets I'm in a bit of a roll at the

moment which is good but there were two trades that I did this week that were

pretty simple to do than I think anybody can do you'll do it better if you've got

that angel now but I thought I would do a quick video to explain those two

trades and what was behind those two trades this week please like and comment

on the video below that will allow me to produce better quality videos and more

of them in the future if you're interested in learning to trade

successfully in sports then why not visit the BET angel' academy where we

have more detailed videos so very often trading doesn't need to be particularly

complicated and in fact there are a few things that you can do that are

relatively straightforward but where the skill comes is in the execution not the

actual trade setup itself it's in actually executing the trade and making

something of it when the situation occurs because opportunities occur all

of the time and repeating patterns you just need to be there to be able to do

something about it and to perhaps be able to jump in just before everybody

else realizes what is going on so the first trade was slightly unusual

have a look at this picture this was on Oaks Day I was the listed race towards

the end of the day but have a look at this picture of this particular race and

tell me what you see in this particular picture this is a

picture of the favorite and the favori is going to post his perfectly calm the

jockey has complete control so upon seeing this picture I initiated a trade

and when you look at horses and horse racing in general one of the

difficulties that you have one of the reasons that this is the hardest market

to crack from a betting perspective is there are so many variables it's so sort

of not random because nothing's totally random but there are so many inputs into

what the price really should be that very often it's difficult to work out

exactly what that price should be and one of the factors that you have to take

account of as the horses to me okay the horses run rope well it has a really

strong form line but you go to saddle up the horse and it

doesn't like it and you take it to the program and it's getting a bit tetchy

and then there's a problem going to post and therefore if you were going to put

your money down on a horse that exhibited that type of behavior you

probably wouldn't if you were a professional punter now your average Joe

doesn't know that they'll just have a tenner on the favour anyway especially

if they've had a few bears but your professional punter will be looking at

all of those characteristics to figure out whether the horse really merits his

money or not so when you look at that sort of thing you have to take account

of all of those particular factors and one of the factors that we're looking at

here manifests itself if I show you another image so when you look at this

screenshot again what you will see now is that we have two horses on this

particular screenshots and we've got the favour in front of it and are not horse

donor which one that is that's just sitting behind it but can you notice the

difference between the two of them because if you look at the favorite you

can see that its coat is very reflective and shiny and you look at the horse

behind it and it's horse is very matte and non reflective so what's going on

here well the favorite is sweating up and typically some horses exhibit this

characteristic per se but typically it's something that is not normal and when a

horse it starts to split up it's usually because it's anxious it's using up a bit

of energy and when you're looking at much much shorter races you want the

horse to have all of its energy ready to run that particular race you don't

really want it using an expending energy on the way to the start of the race

itself so just the shine on that coat tells you that it is sweating up and

there are obviously other signs as well that you can pick up on a horse to see

that it's sweating up you very often see dried sweat around the saddle cloths and

so on so it's a funny thing to be looking at however it can give you a

clue in the market as about as to what is happening or what is going to happen

next within the market because people that were going to put money on the

favorite probably won't do it if the favorite is sweating up so

they may just not back it any longer and you may actually find people come in and

act and actively lay the horse when it exhibits this sort of characteristic so

on this particular race you may have seen it in the market before yeah you're

busy trading something and then boom the price goes out and it may be if you're

not watching pictures this is exactly what's going on and in this particular

race that's exactly what happened when I see something like that then I'll

naturally lay the horse with the expectation that probably the backing

will dry up and in fact the price may start heading out in the other direction

so yeah if you see a horse that looks recalcitrant or there's a problem or

maybe it's sweating up in the way that you see with this particular runner then

it's probably an opportunity to definitely not back it but it may be a

lay opportunity in there as well and on this particular race that's exactly what

happened if we look at the graph on that particular race you can see immediately

the pictures became available and this was down to the split second that these

pictures became available everybody started laying it or not backing it it

was one of the two we can tell specifically which sometimes but you can

tell that basically the price was going to drift and that's what happened for

the rest of the race a little bit of support came back in because when it

reached post time it seems to be pretty calm but then a little bit of light

laying came in into the market from there but one thing that you wouldn't do

is you wouldn't be looking to back this horse with the hope that the price was

going to shorten if you're actively trading it and you saw that it was

sweating up and none of the other horses were then naturally you'd probably want

to lay on there or be on the lay side of that particular market so yeah a great

opportunity to lay the horse and back it at a higher price later on within the

market itself so if I wind you forward to Derby Day the Derby market was pretty

interesting this year very big market the biggest market that I've seen for

about ten years on the Derby most of that was due to the interest in the

favorite and the fact that it was that a shorter price so that tends to generate

volume anyway but I managed to pick off a pretty decent result from the Derby so

I always tend to do all of the Derby it's one of those big races the year

that I get excited about that I really want to get a decent total on so I'm

pleased that I managed to do this year but within that market there

were so many different aspects actually thought it's one of the more fascinating

markets that have been around this year but the opportunity I'd like to

highlight to you in this market was on has a poor so everything was going

pretty normally on has a poor and then all of a sudden boom the price goes

absolutely flying out now if you would have looked at has a poor on the way to

post here you would have noticed absolutely nothing he looks fine no

absolutely no particular reason for the price to go that mad when it does go mad

like that you sort of suspect that maybe there's you know a bot that has gone mad

and another one jumps in front of it and so on and then it did the market just

loses its marbles but it was a very very odd sort of market overall and has a

poor was a really sort of strange situation but of course upon seeing the

price start to go rocketing out I immediately turn my attention to the

pictures again to have a look and see if I could find where has a halt was

because maybe he was running off across the Epsom Downs somewhere and maybe that

was why his price would happen no he was absolutely fine there were no issues no

reason to think that the price would go out so that looks like a total anomaly

to me so when you see this in the market what you should do is as the price

starts flying out you try and catch it right at the top you put a couple of

orders in at a speculative price near the top of that or when you see the

price starting to head back in the other direction and then you trader out a much

much lower price so you tends to find these opportunities come around

completely at random and you may have even missed it within the market however

the tip that I can give you here is within betangel if you use the

automation or a servant you can actually get better angel to monitor how much a

price is moving and if it moves quite violently within a short period of time

bet angel can actually alert you to the fact that that has happened it can do

that by popping up a message on your screen or you can actually get it to

fire off a sound alert so I use the sound alert and often when you see me

trade in fact if you were to ever come here and watch me trade or look over my

shoulder or see me from a distance you will see I always have headphones on or

a loud speaker and that is because potential is pumping audio

alerts to me all of the time it's telling me things that are happening

within the market that I'm not necessarily looking at so today I get an

alert I've no idea what is going on particularly within the market but the

alert gets me interested in it I see that it has a port I have a look at how

the poor can't see anything wrong with the horse at all so I stick in a few

speculative back orders at the top end of the market and what happens next well

sure enough you know if if you're in the market and something that you were

trying to back is it at a low price it's sort of 15 s - 17 s and then you see it

available at 30 s what are you gonna do you're gonna back it the best available

price you can and arbres kick in and bookmakers and people hedging it and

people who can see the anomaly and then of course that brings the price all the

way back down to where it was from from from its extreme Heights so yeah that

was an opportunity that occurred in the Darby today completely unexpected

totally out of the blue and it does happen quite frequently one of the best

examples I can give you is this happens to modern big dude in the Grand National

a few years ago but yeah when the price spikes out unexpected like that and you

can see no cause and that's probably an opportunity to do a back to lay trade

within that market because you'll probably see the price come back at some

particular point any time it wouldn't do as we've learnt at the beginning of this

video is perhaps if there's something wrong with horse or the market doesn't

like it or perhaps it's running loose across the countryside but on this

occasion it wasn't everything looked fine so I just put in a few speculative

back orders and then waited for the price to revert back and in fact that's

you know one of the things that made a big contribution to my overall trade on

the Derby this year but anyhow two little tips there for you both of which

are equally valid and that I trade it this week easy to understand and if you

want to get the best out of a piece of software like bet Center set it up to

look for those sort of opportunities within the market as well but yeah

decent Derby decent result overall this week and I can't wait for the next big

meeting

you

North Korea experts' advice to Trump: Keep summit as simple as possible - Duration: 3:01.

As the off-again, on-again summit with North Korea is shaping up for June 12 once again, experts say that President Trump should keep it simple as he prepares to finally meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un

Jung Pak of the Brookings Institution's Center for East Asia Policy Studies and Ambassador Robert Gallucci, America's chief negotiator during the 1994 North Korean nuclear crisis, sat down with "Face the Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan to offer their views on what the U

S. should expect heading into the meeting. "I think the president needs to work out along with his team what he should say, what he should not say and what some of the benefits he can offer for Kim," said Pak

Gallucci agreed, saying foreign policy experts hope that some of Mr. Trump's talking points are "pre-baked" and make sense going into the meeting

"Both people in this meeting are infamous or famous for improvisational -- their surprise factor," he noted

Gallucci added that it would be good for the U.S. delegation to have agreed on "follow-on steps" for what will be implemented in order to reach a deal on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula

"How much detail can we get on the term denuclearization? What does it meant for North Korea? How do we monitor the giving up and turning over of this material?" Gallucci suggested as potential guidelines for the talks

Mr. Trump still appears committed to complete and total denuclearization, but has hinted it may take longer than just one meeting with Kim to deliver, calling the talks a start of a "process

"Pak meanwhile said that Mr. Trump should be aware that Kim is "doing his homework by all accounts," including reading up on world events

Both experts agreed that the U.S. should in the meantime avoid "shiny objects" like a promise to formally end the Korean War and instead focus on the substance of the talks

Simple Grading - Duration: 2:07.

From my home page, let's select the demo course, "Gradescope 101", let's select the demo midterm.

We are currently in the "Grade Submissions" tab, let's select question 3.1, and let's start grading!

On the left, we have the current student's answer to the question we are grading.

On the right, we have the rubric, which currently has just one entry, which corresponds to the

student having the correct answer.

The current student indeed has the correct answer, so we can just select the existing

entry in the rubric, and we just graded the first student.

Now, we click the 'Next' button and are presented with the next student's answer to this same question.

This student made a mistake: they forgot the electrons around the O's.

We add a rubric item corresponding to this mistake, we type the description for it so

students understand what we are marking them off for,

and we decide to subtract one point for this mistake.

We select this new entry, and we just graded the second student.

We click the "Next" button to move on to the next student.

This student has single bonds instead of double bonds.

That's a new type of mistake.

We add it into the rubric, and for this mistake, we'll subtract two points.

We check it off.

This student also forgot the electrons around the O's.

We check that off too, and we click the "Next" button to move on to the next student.

This student forgot the electrons around the O's.

This is a mistake we've seen before, so we simply mark the corresponding rubric entry,

and we are done with grading this student.

Coming to think of it, getting the bonds wrong is a much bigger mistake than forgetting the electrons.

So, subtracting a full point for just forgetting the electrons might be a little much,

so let's change it into only subtracting 0.5 points,

and let's change the text to clarify we deem it only a minor error.

These changes will apply to all students, including, retroactively,

to the students we already graded.

Liz Schultz, 2 simple exercises for the home or office - Duration: 2:33.

Hi, I'm Liz Schultz, the Exercise Physiologist

at Glebe Hill Family Practice,

Today we're going to outline some exercises

that you can participate in at home or the office,

if it's raining outside, coming into winter

if you can't get to a gym,

or don't have any equipment to use.

So we have the lovely Kieran here to help demonstrate!

So we're going to run through two exercises today.

So the first one is going to be a Sit-To-Stand.

So what I'd like you to do is find a hard chair,

so a kitchen table chair is great,

and then what we're looking at

is you're getting in a position

where your feet are hips-distance apart,

toes are facing forward,

knees running in line with the toes, also.

You can scoot forward a little bit

in your chair if that helps.

And what I want you to focus on is trying to push

all your weight out through your heels

to try and raise yourself out of the chair

and try and stay as upright as possible.

So, do you want to give that a go?

- Sure.

- Beautiful, and slowly sitting back down.

So probably a little bit slower.

- Slower? - Excellent, good.

Beautiful.

So when we're looking at a sit-to-stand,

you might want to look at doing two sets of 10 repetitions.

So doing 10 repetitions and then having

possibly a 30 second break, and then doing another 10.

So that's a really good functional exercise

to help with everyday life, to help with things like

walking, getting in and out of a car, and step-ups as well.

So another exercise that we can do

and that everyone can participate in

at home is some Calf-Raises.

So if you'd like to stand behind your chair.

So looking at using a chair for support.

Gently holding onto the back of the chair,

but not putting too much weight through the chair.

Feet are hips-distance apart again,

and toes facing forward.

Slowly roll up and transfer your weight onto your toes.

Hold that for a couple of seconds,

and then slowly rolling back down, nice and controlled.

Good, and repeating several times.

Good.

So, again, looking at the same repetitions with that one.

So probably looking about two sets

of 10 repetitions for that.

So having a 30 second break in between.

Good, how does that feel?

- Good, that's good.

Thanks, Liz.

- So you're completing this

several times throughout your day.

Just make sure that you don't fall into

a sedentary lifestyle and it breaks up

your seated habits at work as well

and makes sure the blood is flowing around the body, too.
