News on Youtube Jun 3 2018

so it's been another decent week on the markets I'm in a bit of a roll at the

moment which is good but there were two trades that I did this week that were

pretty simple to do than I think anybody can do you'll do it better if you've got

that angel now but I thought I would do a quick video to explain those two

trades and what was behind those two trades this week please like and comment

on the video below that will allow me to produce better quality videos and more

of them in the future if you're interested in learning to trade

successfully in sports then why not visit the BET angel' academy where we

have more detailed videos so very often trading doesn't need to be particularly

complicated and in fact there are a few things that you can do that are

relatively straightforward but where the skill comes is in the execution not the

actual trade setup itself it's in actually executing the trade and making

something of it when the situation occurs because opportunities occur all

of the time and repeating patterns you just need to be there to be able to do

something about it and to perhaps be able to jump in just before everybody

else realizes what is going on so the first trade was slightly unusual

have a look at this picture this was on Oaks Day I was the listed race towards

the end of the day but have a look at this picture of this particular race and

tell me what you see in this particular picture this is a

picture of the favorite and the favori is going to post his perfectly calm the

jockey has complete control so upon seeing this picture I initiated a trade

and when you look at horses and horse racing in general one of the

difficulties that you have one of the reasons that this is the hardest market

to crack from a betting perspective is there are so many variables it's so sort

of not random because nothing's totally random but there are so many inputs into

what the price really should be that very often it's difficult to work out

exactly what that price should be and one of the factors that you have to take

account of as the horses to me okay the horses run rope well it has a really

strong form line but you go to saddle up the horse and it

doesn't like it and you take it to the program and it's getting a bit tetchy

and then there's a problem going to post and therefore if you were going to put

your money down on a horse that exhibited that type of behavior you

probably wouldn't if you were a professional punter now your average Joe

doesn't know that they'll just have a tenner on the favour anyway especially

if they've had a few bears but your professional punter will be looking at

all of those characteristics to figure out whether the horse really merits his

money or not so when you look at that sort of thing you have to take account

of all of those particular factors and one of the factors that we're looking at

here manifests itself if I show you another image so when you look at this

screenshot again what you will see now is that we have two horses on this

particular screenshots and we've got the favour in front of it and are not horse

donor which one that is that's just sitting behind it but can you notice the

difference between the two of them because if you look at the favorite you

can see that its coat is very reflective and shiny and you look at the horse

behind it and it's horse is very matte and non reflective so what's going on

here well the favorite is sweating up and typically some horses exhibit this

characteristic per se but typically it's something that is not normal and when a

horse it starts to split up it's usually because it's anxious it's using up a bit

of energy and when you're looking at much much shorter races you want the

horse to have all of its energy ready to run that particular race you don't

really want it using an expending energy on the way to the start of the race

itself so just the shine on that coat tells you that it is sweating up and

there are obviously other signs as well that you can pick up on a horse to see

that it's sweating up you very often see dried sweat around the saddle cloths and

so on so it's a funny thing to be looking at however it can give you a

clue in the market as about as to what is happening or what is going to happen

next within the market because people that were going to put money on the

favorite probably won't do it if the favorite is sweating up so

they may just not back it any longer and you may actually find people come in and

act and actively lay the horse when it exhibits this sort of characteristic so

on this particular race you may have seen it in the market before yeah you're

busy trading something and then boom the price goes out and it may be if you're

not watching pictures this is exactly what's going on and in this particular

race that's exactly what happened when I see something like that then I'll

naturally lay the horse with the expectation that probably the backing

will dry up and in fact the price may start heading out in the other direction

so yeah if you see a horse that looks recalcitrant or there's a problem or

maybe it's sweating up in the way that you see with this particular runner then

it's probably an opportunity to definitely not back it but it may be a

lay opportunity in there as well and on this particular race that's exactly what

happened if we look at the graph on that particular race you can see immediately

the pictures became available and this was down to the split second that these

pictures became available everybody started laying it or not backing it it

was one of the two we can tell specifically which sometimes but you can

tell that basically the price was going to drift and that's what happened for

the rest of the race a little bit of support came back in because when it

reached post time it seems to be pretty calm but then a little bit of light

laying came in into the market from there but one thing that you wouldn't do

is you wouldn't be looking to back this horse with the hope that the price was

going to shorten if you're actively trading it and you saw that it was

sweating up and none of the other horses were then naturally you'd probably want

to lay on there or be on the lay side of that particular market so yeah a great

opportunity to lay the horse and back it at a higher price later on within the

market itself so if I wind you forward to Derby Day the Derby market was pretty

interesting this year very big market the biggest market that I've seen for

about ten years on the Derby most of that was due to the interest in the

favorite and the fact that it was that a shorter price so that tends to generate

volume anyway but I managed to pick off a pretty decent result from the Derby so

I always tend to do all of the Derby it's one of those big races the year

that I get excited about that I really want to get a decent total on so I'm

pleased that I managed to do this year but within that market there

were so many different aspects actually thought it's one of the more fascinating

markets that have been around this year but the opportunity I'd like to

highlight to you in this market was on has a poor so everything was going

pretty normally on has a poor and then all of a sudden boom the price goes

absolutely flying out now if you would have looked at has a poor on the way to

post here you would have noticed absolutely nothing he looks fine no

absolutely no particular reason for the price to go that mad when it does go mad

like that you sort of suspect that maybe there's you know a bot that has gone mad

and another one jumps in front of it and so on and then it did the market just

loses its marbles but it was a very very odd sort of market overall and has a

poor was a really sort of strange situation but of course upon seeing the

price start to go rocketing out I immediately turn my attention to the

pictures again to have a look and see if I could find where has a halt was

because maybe he was running off across the Epsom Downs somewhere and maybe that

was why his price would happen no he was absolutely fine there were no issues no

reason to think that the price would go out so that looks like a total anomaly

to me so when you see this in the market what you should do is as the price

starts flying out you try and catch it right at the top you put a couple of

orders in at a speculative price near the top of that or when you see the

price starting to head back in the other direction and then you trader out a much

much lower price so you tends to find these opportunities come around

completely at random and you may have even missed it within the market however

the tip that I can give you here is within betangel if you use the

automation or a servant you can actually get better angel to monitor how much a

price is moving and if it moves quite violently within a short period of time

bet angel can actually alert you to the fact that that has happened it can do

that by popping up a message on your screen or you can actually get it to

fire off a sound alert so I use the sound alert and often when you see me

trade in fact if you were to ever come here and watch me trade or look over my

shoulder or see me from a distance you will see I always have headphones on or

a loud speaker and that is because potential is pumping audio

alerts to me all of the time it's telling me things that are happening

within the market that I'm not necessarily looking at so today I get an

alert I've no idea what is going on particularly within the market but the

alert gets me interested in it I see that it has a port I have a look at how

the poor can't see anything wrong with the horse at all so I stick in a few

speculative back orders at the top end of the market and what happens next well

sure enough you know if if you're in the market and something that you were

trying to back is it at a low price it's sort of 15 s - 17 s and then you see it

available at 30 s what are you gonna do you're gonna back it the best available

price you can and arbres kick in and bookmakers and people hedging it and

people who can see the anomaly and then of course that brings the price all the

way back down to where it was from from from its extreme Heights so yeah that

was an opportunity that occurred in the Darby today completely unexpected

totally out of the blue and it does happen quite frequently one of the best

examples I can give you is this happens to modern big dude in the Grand National

a few years ago but yeah when the price spikes out unexpected like that and you

can see no cause and that's probably an opportunity to do a back to lay trade

within that market because you'll probably see the price come back at some

particular point any time it wouldn't do as we've learnt at the beginning of this

video is perhaps if there's something wrong with horse or the market doesn't

like it or perhaps it's running loose across the countryside but on this

occasion it wasn't everything looked fine so I just put in a few speculative

back orders and then waited for the price to revert back and in fact that's

you know one of the things that made a big contribution to my overall trade on

the Derby this year but anyhow two little tips there for you both of which

are equally valid and that I trade it this week easy to understand and if you

want to get the best out of a piece of software like bet Center set it up to

look for those sort of opportunities within the market as well but yeah

decent Derby decent result overall this week and I can't wait for the next big

meeting

4 SIMPLE STEPS TO LEARN ENGLISH MUCH FASTER/ MP3 FOR SUBSCRIBERS - Duration: 6:04.

My name is Rodger Koller and this video is going to be very quick

Today we're going to talk about immersion

but before we start, remember that if you subscribe to the channel

You'll be given access to the PDF files with extra exercises and homework based on my videos

and you'll also receive access to the mp3 files

so that you'll be able to practice your listening skills

wherever you go

Even when you're taking a shower

Besides that, if you subscribe to the channel, you'll be given access

to join our group on Telegram

so that you can practice your English with voice messages and text messages

If you sympathize with this channel and if you want to become a patron

You'll receive many different rewards

and more benefits

Please click on the first link in the description of this video

and check the rewards

you'll get if you become a patron

Now, without any further ado, let's get started

Immersion!

Immersion?

What is it?

That's a very good question. Immersion is, by far, the best method if you want to learn a different language

Seriously, there is no other method that is better than immersion

Teach me IMMERSION, please!

Immersion consists of being fully exposed

to the language. Today let's talk about English because it's the focus on this channel

and then you can learn another language the way you learned your native language

by being exposed to it

So if you have an opportunity, you should go to an English speaking country

because then you'll be exposed to the language all the time

Alright, Rodger, but there is a problem with this method, with this strategy, with this technique

A problem with immersion? It's impossible! Immersion is the best method!

What is the problem?

The problem is that I don't have enough money to travel abroad, I don't have money to go to another country

So I'll have to try a different method, because

I can't afford immersion

So I can't use this technique

Yes, You can!

and so can you!

There is something that I always tell my students

If you can't go to immersion

Bring immersion to you

and you have to bear in mind that the more exposed you are to English the more efficiently and the faster you will learn the language

I'm going to teach you how to do that

You just have to follow four steps

FIRST

Change the settings on your electronic devices

Yes, I'm talking about your television, I'm talking about your laptop

about your microwave oven

change the language on your electronic devices

so you're going to be forced to read in English

to understand instructions

to know things in English

you'll be exposed to English

so, change the language on your electronic devices

SECOND!! And it's actually the most important thing

Talk to yourself in English

I'm pretty sure that you talk to yourself sometimes

I do that too! Ok!

It's not weird

I live here in this apartment by myself

Sometimes I talk to myself, even using words and using my mouth

Yeah. most of the time I just think, but sometimes I say something, like:

"Oh! I'm hungry, I need to eat something!"

"hmmm I need to take a shower"

You know? These thoughts that you sometimes you have and sometimes you talk to yourself?

You talk to yourself! Come on! Admit it!

When you talk to yourself, force yourself into talking to yourself in English

So, talk to yourself in English

It's a great exercise because you do that all the time

So when you're talking to yourself in your thoughts

Change that thought from your original language into English

It's really important and you'll notice that after 4 days doing that, you'll start thinking in English naturally

Just take my word. Believe me.

The third thing you need to do is listen to English as much as you can

So you can download movies in English

you can download series, you can watch Netflix in English

So, watch series, download podcasts

Listen to podcasts

Download the mp3 files

from my videos

When you go to work, when you go to school

Do that listening to English

all the time

The fourth step and of course it's one of the most important steps

as well

Actually the four steps are extremely important

When you're immersed in a language, you need to speak

with other people, you need to interact

with other people in English

and that's why I've created a group on Telegram so that you can practice your English

with voice messages and with text messages

and I highly recommend

that you use voice messages

because then you can practice your speaking

This video was very quick

What was Superglue used for in the Vietnam War? - Duration: 2:31.

What was superglue used for in the Vietnam War

Super glue is a cyanoacrylate a fast working adhesive in the Vietnam War u.s

troops used super glue to treat emergency wounds on the battlefield

In 1942 during World War two a team of scientists headed by Harry Coover jr

Were working for Eastman Kodak as a part of the chemical division. They were designing a clear plastic for precision gun sights

The experiment was a failure and the project was cancelled as the chemicals had been very sticky making them hard to work with in

1951 Hoover was again working with the chemical this time with jet airplane canopies

once again

The project was a failure because of the stickiness of the chemical

But these failures made Coover think of a new application for it the super sticky cyanoacrylate

Could glue materials together with incredible strength and speed without the requirement of heat or pressure

Discovering a new adhesive by accident he would name it Eastman 910 later named the more famous name of superglue

Dr. Cooper demonstrated it on a show called

I've got a secret in

1959 where he used a drop of the adhesive between two cylinders to lift the show's host Garry Moore off the ground

The idea for using the adhesive for medical purposes came quite early on and Eastman submitted an application to the United States Food and Drug

Administration for the use of the glue to hold human tissue together in surgery

After testing the glue while not yet approved for military use because of the potential

Toxicities to human tissue was sent to the battlefields of Vietnam nevertheless

US soldiers were issued the glue in the form of a spray bottle in

Combat field surgeons sprayed the adhesive on injured soldiers with open wounds to seal them shut to stop any bleeding as a temporary treatment

This lifesaver prevented many wounded soldiers bleeding out as they were transported back to base hospital for surgery

Coover would later reflect on his invention in the war if somebody had a chest wound or open wound

That was bleeding the biggest problem

They had was stopping the bleeding so they could get the patient back to the hospital and the consequence was

many of them bled to death

So the medics used the spray stopped the bleeding and were able get the wounded back to base hospital and many many lives were saved

STERLITE- மெய்ப்பொருள் காண்பது அறிவு - Duration: 10:59.

whatever the problems we cover ,

we intend to bring out the true knowledge about the situation thanjust tweaking emotions of people.

We wanted to know the actual quality of air and water of the villages

which is situated around the Sterlite and bring the results to you.

So our team went to Sterlite factory area and had spent a week to collect the samples of air and water.

We have tested the samples and our data is ready now.

You would ask, "The Sterlite factory is already closed down, what would you do with these data now?"

But if you ask, "Did all the problems got solved after closing the factory?" It definitely did not.

Bigger problems are hidden from the Tamil masses.

We came to know the hidden fact by just spending 1 week. This video is to explain that.

We realized that not enough evidence is available to close down Sterlite factory like it is said in the mainstream medias.

in order to have more evidence , so we planned to collect and test the samples from 12 places that is situated around Sterlite factory.

As an independent media, it is not possible to successfully finish this project on our own. The project got complete because of your support.

From the beginning of our trip of collecting samples, we noticed a strange thing.

Wherever we stop for collecting the samples or to have conversation with people,

Someone from the crowd was continuously passing information on phone

about our car plate number, the number of people came, the equipment we used and other details.

This didn't just happen in just one place, it happened everywhere we went.

But we couldn't obtain any information on who they were talking to.

We collected groundwater samples from Kumra Ettidiyapuram, T.V Puram, and Thoothukodi City.

- It was distinctly clear to us that the water samples collected from the villages are not consumable.

There was a stagnant water near Sterlite factory, we took surface water samples from there.

When we talked to people who were protesting, they said that

there is another place near Sterlite where chemicals are discharged on ground for over 1 sq.km

- To make sure no one notices this toxic dump yard, a 10 feet wall of sand and an iron-made fence were built around to protect it.

- Even if you try to go beyond the obstacles, 10 to 15 men would be guarding the place and they would throw you out.

There used to be plants and trees around the place but everything was gone after the construction of this dump yard.

There used to be plants and trees around the place but everything was gone after the construction of this dump yard.

Instead of giving back the animal, they would give some 50k rupees and settle the issue

This Sterlite issue have been going on for almost 25 years

But this particular issues said by people had neither been covered by mainstream media

nor I have even seen a Facebook post about it.

We were surprised to hear this new thing, so we asked those people to take us to that place.

Most of them was afraid and not ready, but one person stood out and took us there.

Just like everyone said, the place was kept confidential.

And because of recently rained water, the chemicals inside the place was spilled outside the 10 feet sand-wall

When we crossed the wall and the iron-made fence

the chemicals were dumped all over the place without any kind of protection for almost 1 sq.km.

Bubbles was producing on the liquid chemicals that was discharged on the ground.

The probable reason behind this was

It could have been reacting with some chemicals inside

Or the chemicals could be going underground.

The villager who accompanied helped us took the samples

At the time of taking samples, the chemical spilled on the villager's hand and got burned.

We saw the burned area and came to an understanding that the chemicals in that area have strong acidic content.

Some people saw us taking the samples and came running towards us. Seeing that, we left the place.

We kept the chemical sample at the place we stayed.

The chemical sample started leaking from the container and it damaged the cement surface.

A cement surface was damaged because of this chemical. Imagine the condition of the soil and the groundwater under it.

These are all the problems around Sterlite factory area.

We decided to go around Thoothukudi to know what were the other environment issues people were facing and collect those samples.

When we were on the way, we noticed 2 factories are emitting so much smoke. The companies were SPIC and TAC.

Near the factories, there was a flow of stagnant water from the factories. We stopped for 20 seconds to take the samples.

Just this short period of time we came out of the car,

it was suffocating outside and we had headaches all day because of the smoke.

Just for 20 seconds you get this impact, there was a village nearby those factories

- We went to those places and asked people about the factories.

They said, "these release are actually less today, usually the release are more stronger and acute."

"When we went to ask about the pollution, they just brushed it off by saying we are in an unauthorized area,"

After we finished with these people, there were a fishermen's place nearby, we went to that place ask about the emissions.

What they said was the liquid emissions by SPIC and TAC was released directly into the sea

Before they used to fish using beach seine net

but now there is no such thing as beach seine fishing

We have go deep into the sea for fishing

- Because of this our fisheries and livelihood is immensely affected

In the month of April, 2018, fishes of large masses died and was floating on the shores because of the toxic discharge from the factories.

With the help of these fishermen, we went near the discharging area of SPIC and TAC and collected water samples.

The place were SPIC and TAC dumps the wastes in the sea, there was a leakage on their pipes, we collected the sample from the leaking area.

The other problem we faced was when we reached out to the laboratories of Tamil Nadu to test the air quality of this area.

No one was ready to take the project.

Then we reached out to a laboratory in Bangalore and they tested air quality around Sterlite area and other parts of Thoothukudi.

They tested on total of 4 different parts.

Each place took 8 hours.

After this long test, we came back to Chennai with all the collected samples

To get the air and water quality results from the laboratory, it took more than 20 days.

First we can see the water test results.

If you look at the 4 major parameters of water samples collected from T.V. Puram,

the parameters were 2 to 11 times more than the safe zone.

The 4 parameters of water samples collected from Kumra Ettidiyapuram had 2 to 21 times more than its safe zone

The water samples took from Thoothukudy City had no problems in any parameter and were safe for consumption

The samples taken near SPIC and TAC factories

The ammonia levels was 242 times more than its safe zone

The leakage pipe sample we took from the sea had

86 times more ammonia than the safe zone.

The samples we took from the stagnant water and dumpyard near Sterlite

3 times more chlorine and 15 times more sulphate than the safe zone.

The result of the most difficult sample we took, which was from the dump yard was shocking

The pH value of that sample had 1.75, which means it is a highly concentrated acid.

In that sample, the total dissolved solids had 90 times more than the safe zone

and the phosphate levels were 37 times more than the safe zone

This makes the soil infertile for any kind of vegetation.

At the same time, the lead content was 30 times more than the safe zone.

If this mixes with groundwater and we happen to consume it

there is high chances of pregnant women undergoing abortion

Fluoride levels was 94 times more than the safe zone.

If this is mixed with groundwater and we consume it, it would cause problems to our bones.

At the same time, boron levels were 10 times higher than the safe zone

Abundance of Boron can cause cancer

The sulphate content was 100 times higher than the safe zone

If this gets mixed with groundwater and we happen to consume it, we may get Kidney stones.

A company is discharging chemicals even more 100 times its permeable limit by destroying the soil and the groundwater.

And this was happening right near the place of all the Sterlite protests that was going on.

This is the main reason behind the groundwater pollution.

Within 5 days we spent there, it was distinctly clear that this was the reason for pollution

Even if you use the Google maps, you can clearly see this dump yard

But no one talks about this dump yard

The reason behind that is,

the pollution around Sterlite including dump yard is done by V.V. Titanium Pigments Private Limited.

It is one of Mr. Vaikundarajan's V.V Group of Companies who owns the place.

Now we can come to air quality results

When we did the air quality test, both Sterlite and V.V Minerals were shut down

Because of this, we didn't see any threat to the air quality

We heard that Sterlite factory was open for public every week on saturdays.

We went there and checked their solid and liquid waste management

What we observed is that,

Other factories toxic discharge was alarmingly more than the Sterlite discharge

The Environmentalist who claimed to work for Thoothukudi people, Ms. Fatima Babu and Mr. Nithyanandh Jayaraman

We want to ask them a question

The dump yard can be seen even on Google maps, you are expecting us to believe that you do not know this?

When N.E.E.R.I. committee took an assessment on 2011

They assessed that Kill Burn Company was polluting the groundwater.

Mr. Nithyanandh Jayaraman was a member of that committee

The same Kill Burn Company changed to V.V. Minerals and doing the same kind of pollution.

But why are you not asking the same questions to the V.V Minerals?

What is your real aim here? Do you really want to save the environment and people or is it just closing down the Sterlite?

If your aim is to save the environment

You should have asked questions to V.V. by now. Why that didn't happen?

By seeing all the social media and mainstream media contents, we went to Thoothukudi with an only aim of finding evidence against Sterlite.

But after spending a week in Thoothukudi,

We understood that there is so many things hidden from Tamil Nadu masses.

What we should know or not know, what we should be talking or protesting are decided by just a handful of people.

But we, the common people gets affected by literally getting killed by all these misdirection.

We should be protesting for our rights, there is no question about it

But to know why we are protesting and who we are protesting is the most important thing.

Whatever the problem is, understanding the actuality is the real knowledge.

Simple Slime - Duration: 4:02.

We are making slime!

Measure out 1 cup of white glue

Pour the glue into a mixing bowl

Disposable cups work best for easy clean up!

Scrape out the cup with a plastic utensil

Thumbs up! This is fun!

Next we add a tablespoon of baking soda

Add a tiny drop of food colouring - be careful!

Just a TINY drop!

Mix the colour in well, add more food colouring if needed

Slowly add in a tablespoon of contact lens solution

Keep mixing the whole time

Mix until desired consistency. Add more contact solution if necessary

Knead it with your hands

Our slime is a bit too wet so we need to add a bit more contact solution

We are adding a bit more contact solution here

Now that's slime!!!

Simple Grading - Duration: 2:07.

From my home page, let's select the demo course, "Gradescope 101", let's select the demo midterm.

We are currently in the "Grade Submissions" tab, let's select question 3.1, and let's start grading!

On the left, we have the current student's answer to the question we are grading.

On the right, we have the rubric, which currently has just one entry, which corresponds to the

student having the correct answer.

The current student indeed has the correct answer, so we can just select the existing

entry in the rubric, and we just graded the first student.

Now, we click the 'Next' button and are presented with the next student's answer to this same question.

This student made a mistake: they forgot the electrons around the O's.

We add a rubric item corresponding to this mistake, we type the description for it so

students understand what we are marking them off for,

and we decide to subtract one point for this mistake.

We select this new entry, and we just graded the second student.

We click the "Next" button to move on to the next student.

This student has single bonds instead of double bonds.

That's a new type of mistake.

We add it into the rubric, and for this mistake, we'll subtract two points.

We check it off.

This student also forgot the electrons around the O's.

We check that off too, and we click the "Next" button to move on to the next student.

This student forgot the electrons around the O's.

This is a mistake we've seen before, so we simply mark the corresponding rubric entry,

and we are done with grading this student.

Coming to think of it, getting the bonds wrong is a much bigger mistake than forgetting the electrons.

So, subtracting a full point for just forgetting the electrons might be a little much,

so let's change it into only subtracting 0.5 points,

and let's change the text to clarify we deem it only a minor error.

These changes will apply to all students, including, retroactively,

to the students we already graded.
