N. Korea - U.S. talks to be held at Capella Hotel on Sentosa Island, Singapore - Duration: 2:21.

Next week, the hotly anticipated Pyongyang-Washington summit will be held.

Naturally, preparations for the talks are picking up steam.

More details are gradually being revealed, including... the venue for the long awaited

meeting.

The Capella Hotel in Singapore has been chosen to host the historic event.

Kim Mok-yeon gets us up to speed with the developments.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders revealed in a tweet on Tuesday that the talks

between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will be held at

the Capella Hotel on Singapore's Sentosa Island on June 12th.

The White House official also thanked the Singaporean hosts for their hospitality.

The post came just around a day after Sanders confirmed that the two leaders had agreed

on the time of their first meeting.

"And I can also tell you the schedule for -- tentatively -- for that first meeting will

be on June 12 at 9 a.m. Singapore time and take place June 11, 9 p.m. east coast time."

The Capella Hotel is where high ranking officials from the U.S. and North Korea have been holding

working-level discussions on the upcoming talks.

The hotel is also one of two places local and foreign experts had been suggesting the

talks could held at, along with the Shangri-La hotel.

The Singapore government issued a public order establishing special zones around both hotels,

so access to the areas will strictly be controlled from June 10th to the 14th.

Speaking to reporters at an Oval Office event on Tuesday, U.S. President Trump said that

plans for what will be the first meeting between a serving U.S. president and a North Korean

leader, are well on track.

"North Korea looks like it's moving along very well, a lot of -- a lot of relationship

being built; a lot of negotiation going on even before the trip.

But it looks like it's coming along fine.

We'll see what happens, but very important.

It'll be a very important couple of days."

The upcoming Kim-Trump meeting was called off by the U.S. President late May

before being put back on last week after a top North Korean official delivered Trump

a letter from Kim Jong-un.

President Trump said that he expects a positive result in discussions with North Korea but

spoke of the possibility of additional meetings to follow for the two sides to reach an agreement.

Johnny Depp emerges from his Berlin hotel amid 'good health' claims

Johnny Depp emerged from his Berlin hotel on Tuesday afternoon amid escalating fears for the Hollywood star's health.

The celebrated actor made his way towards a waiting car outside the German citys Hotel Regency, where he has been staying with band The Hollywood Vampires during their current European tour.

Holding a paperback copy of Yuval Noah Hararis Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Depp, 54, greeted his driver as he climbed inside. The actors notably frail appearance during recent outings has sparked concern among fans.

But Depp is said to be in good health and there is no reason for fans to be concerned about him, sources close to the star say after he was pictured in Russia looking worryingly thin and pale last week.

Despite an onslaught of concern over the actors appearance including fears that he may be ill, a source tells DailyMail. com that he has no health problems.

Depp himself has not commented since photographs which were taken in St. Petersburg last week emerged. In them, he appeared smiling with two Russian fans in the lobby of the Four Seasons hotel.

They were posted innocently by the women who appear in them but quickly went viral as others picked up on his stark appearance. Depp is not believed to be filming for any forthcoming project.

Speculation that his drastic weight loss may have been due to his participation in Fantastic Beasts 2. The production wrapped in December but Depp had to shave his head and bleach his eyebrows to play Gellert Grindelwald.

Another suggestion was that he looked so different because he was not wearing his signature guyliner but in the photographs it appears as though he is just not to the same heavy-handed standard fans may be used to.

Depp is currently touring Europe with his band the Hollywood Vampires. On Monday night, he will play in Berlin at the Zitadelle museum.

Afterwards, the tour will travel to Sweden, where the band will play two shows, before moving on to Denmark, Finland, Poland, Prague, and Germany before going to the UK at the end of the month.

They will play three shows there then will go back to Germany before finishing in Rome in July. The tour began on May 17 in upstate New York.

Not long before the St. Petersburg pictures were taken last week, Depp was seen in Moscow posing happily with staff at a state museum after a low-key visit between shows.

They seemed unconcerned about his appearance and happily shared photographs of his visit online. In videos of him performing, he appears to be in fine form.

Depps shocking appearance comes after a month of accusations of bad behavior including claims of sustained drug abuse and alcoholism.

In a lawsuit against the star filed last month, two former bodyguards described having to act as babysitters for him. One claimed that he had to once wipe a substance from the actors face in a nightclub.

It was also claimed that he spent the day smoking and drinking on the set of City of Lies, formerly known as LAbyrinth, in which Depp plays a LAPD detective investigating the deaths of rappers Notorious B.I.G.

The production wrapped filming last year and Depp was praised by some for his conduct on set including a handful of extras who said he couldnt have been nicer.

It was however alleged that he asked a production staffer to punch him during one incident. According to sources cited by Page Six, Depp allegedly asked the staffer to punch him and said he would give him $100,000 to do so.

His representatives did not comment at the time.

Hotels arent just a place to sleep -- they often serve as neutral ground for international meetings and conferences.

That is certainly the case for the Capella Hotel in Singapore, which was chosen as the location for talks between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on June 12.

Although the Capella, which is on Singapores Sentosa Island, is growing in fame, travelers in the know have already had this property on their radar.

Sentosa, which is Malay for peace and tranquility, is a resort island located off Singapores southern coast. The fact that its separated by land could help organizers and security keep out unwanted guests.

Sentosa is home to a number of beaches and attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore. Peacocks roam the island, and can be seen at the hotel.

  However, the Capella isnt a fitting spot for diplomacy just because of its location. The five-star luxury hotel, which has 112 rooms, is representative of the East-meets-West spirit so commonly associated with Singapore.

The façade of the building is colonial, but the interiors are very modern, with snazzy pools courtesy of renowned Indonesian designer Jaya Ibrahim.

    Like much of Singapore, theres lots of greenery around the hotel and the architecture integrates fauna throughout the property.

Rooms look out onto the South China Sea, though one can see plenty of oil tankers and massive cargo ships off in the distance. The restaurants -- including a must-do weekend brunch -- stand out in Singapores hyper-competitive food and beverage scene.

    With very few reminders of urban sprawl, the hotel is a nice weekend getaway for Singaporeans -- even though its just minutes away from downtown by taxi.

    And, befitting its status as a political hot spot, the Capella has two presidential suites. One, the Colonial Manor, is done in traditional British style on the outside, while the interiors are packed with Asian art and furnishings.

As the Colonial Manor is a standalone property that cant be entered by most hotel guests, its secure and private -- just the kind of place youd use to host conversations between two world leaders.
