Simple Way You Can Make More Money by Paying Yourself First - Duration: 10:18.
what's going on guys today I'm coming at you with another lesson from the
whiteboard to teach you how to make more money and we're starting right now
alright guys so before we touch on this lesson on the whiteboard behind me I
want to touch on where this actually comes from now let's just take a concept
basically called pay yourself first or as I like to call it just pay yourself
and it comes strictly from a book richest man in Babylon which is a great
beginner book if you're not that into reading because it's really really short
it's only about 200 pages and the print is really big and the pages are really
small great book check it out I'll link it in the description below if you want
to grab it that's not an affiliate link I make zero dollars from that link it's
just a great book and I highly recommend that you check it out I can help you
make more money now this lesson that we're gonna talk to on here today is
kind of from that book with my own little twist about paying yourself and
how to incentivize you to do so and it's really gonna help you out if you take
this and you implement it into your everyday life so you're thinking pay
myself first how's that work I barely have enough to pay my bills or my rent
or my mortgage or you know go out and eat or gret grab groceries let alone if
you have a curl of Nam's kidding but uh you barely have enough to pay for all
that stuff now how are you supposed to set money aside to pay yourself first
and then still have money to do all that am I just not supposed to eat Brian let
me give you a quick example of this and we'll go through it really really fast
so I don't bore you with the numbers and that way I can teach you the lesson that
I want to impart on you today so that you can make more money so let's say do
you have three thousand dollars coming in every single month now that's just a
random arbitrary example a random number it could be four thousand it could be
ten thousand it could be 1,000 it doesn't really matter the point is
that's the example that we're using right now so you have three thousand
coming in every single month and let's say your expenses are twenty four
hundred that leaves you with an excess of six hundred bucks to spend every
single month on you know if you want to take your significant out your
significant out your significant other out on a date you know a couple times a
month or you want to take a little Johnny out to the ice-cream shop so what
am I saying that are you supposed to save more that money for yourself and
not spend it on those things well yes know what I am saying to do is instead
of saving that money pay yourself incentivize yourself employ yourself use
these kind of you know incentives to inspire yourself to take action on the
things that you know you need to take action on that are going to get you
where you want to be in life now obviously pay yourself what you can you
know everybody has a different amount that they can allocate towards something
like this before we get into the lesson however the funny thing about this don't
sweat the numbers too much the funny thing about that about that example of
the six hundred bucks is if you had that six hundred bucks to spend toward
whatever use you were spending that is gonna be relatively similar to if you
paid yourself about two hundred to that three hundred that four hundred of that
and only had two hundred bucks left to spend the funny thing about expenses in
cash flow is it tends to work out that way and you don't need as much as you
think you do you're often wasting a lot more than you realize all right so now
with all that being said I'm gonna get into this example with you on the
whiteboard so I can show you how I make more money with this method and give you
a few of good examples now my main focus is what passive income I want to invest
my time and my money into things that are going to pay me passively whether
I'm there or not and I suggest that you obviously focus on similar thing and
obviously if you're anything like me you can be a bit ambitious with your goals
and what that can do is you set such a high goal that the distance between that
that where you are now and that high goal can kind of paralyze you
essentially and so what you need to do is what we're gonna touch on here in a
second is incentivize yourself to take action by paying yourself so then how do
I incentivize myself to get to where I want to be well I pay myself and this is
exactly how I do it so to give you a good example every time I do a YouTube
video I pay myself thirty bucks it's not that much but it kind of gives me that
every time I see that immediate monetary kickback it really inspires me to do
another one and do another one and do another one you know I know that it's a
good thing investing in it for the long term because it's passive and it will
bring me both you know marketing in in new subscribers and potential customers
but also you know money in ad revenue however that doesn't usually come for
months and months as that kind of exponentially increases so what I do is
I inspire myself to do something that I know I should for myself and my business
by immediately paying myself 30 bucks now same thing with a univee course as
well every time I make a udemy course guess what I pay myself a hundred bucks
knowing full well that it's another great investment back into my business
because I'm gonna make that hundred bucks back that first month my course
goes live and then I'm gonna keep making money usually about 100 to 200 of course
every single month after that as I rank that course now I'm telling you guys you
guys are sleeping on udemy courses but that's alright more money for me to be
made however if you're looking for a step-by-step course that's gonna cut
your learning curve exponentially so that you can start ranking courses right
on the emmys platform and really make a good living with it then go ahead and
check the description udemy instructor pros always linked in
the description for you guys to check out or any passive income online by
creating content has literally never been this easy I promise you that now
I've also started paying myself five dollars per post so that's a social
media post five dollars per post and that's a blog post five dollars per post
and I know that these are really essential marketing platforms to get my
my content and and you know get out of obscurity as Grant Cardone would say and
really get myself in front of a lot of potential other customers that wouldn't
have otherwise seen me so I instead of I's myself to take action on these
things something I necessarily wouldn't have otherwise done and finally suddenly
I look up at the end of the month and I'm 2 grand richer into my account I'm 3
grand richer into my account just for making commissions on things that I knew
my business already needed to do essentially I employee myself and you
can do that too so this is something I want to touch on
briefly this is how my money goes now if you guys are interested in you know bank
accounts and setting up LLC's and the benefits tax rise of all this stuff and
how I actually spend my cash flow and my cash kind of goes in and out I can make
a more in-depth video about this let me know in the comments
down below but essentially what happens is most people forgo let me just
most people forgo this right here right so they don't have the LLC setup they
don't have anything like this setup but what they do is their income comes in to
their personal account they don't have an investment account and most people
don't have savings so their income comes directly to their personal account and
then they pay the rent in their bills and they spend the rest what I would
implore you to do is for me my income comes in goes directly into my LLC
immediately automatically 33 praecox whoa whoa 33 % comes out for taxes
because the government's going to tax you on that now obviously your expenses
are your write-offs and everything else goes directly into my personal account
all the excess now from there what do I do
immediately I allocate money for my rent my bills something that you should do as
well and then whatever is left I either pay myself first like I'm
talking about here and the rest of it either goes in savings or spending and
obviously I allocate it sometimes it's ten percent sometimes it's 20 depending
on what I want that month into my savings but that's basically how I do it
so just the recap and like I said I can touch on this more in depth if you guys
want to see this this is important important financial stuff income goes
from you know all my income sources that I've touched on before it goes in my LLC
bank account thirty-three percent comes out for taxes then obviously I write my
expenses off although extra comes in to my personal account I then allocate
whatever is left in my personal account to my rent and bills for that month I
pay myself what we're talking about right here and all of a sudden I start
looking up and this turns into two grand a month then the next the next month
there might be five grand in there ten grand in there and what I'm doing
essentially is I'm saving up myself to make it a real estate play eventually
but you can obviously save up to get into into stocks if you want to save up
to to invest in whatever you want to do just put in your savings if you want to
do that but this is a great way to incentivize yourself you start to see
that immediate monetary gain and it really kind of inspires you to do more
of what you need to do now this is straight from like I said the richest
man in Babylon but this is a really light you know practical life example
that I implore you to set up yourselves because it's really going to inspire you
to take the action on things that you want
and know that you need to do all you have to do is pay to yourself first so
the point is guys if you only have a couple hundred bucks to allocate towards
this then that's what you allocate towards us if you only have 50 bucks to
allocate towards us well guess what that's what you allocate towards this
and then you take that and you shape it toward your lifestyle your finances and
your goals so if you're like me you know maybe you take that 100 bucks
that you have and every 10 every YouTube video that you produce you pay yourself
10 bucks or if you're approaching clients for your agency every time you
approach a client which can be nerve-racking you know even if you get
shot down you're still gonna pay yourself 10 bucks something like that
because you know your mind that doing these things taking these actions are
really what you need to do to get you to where you want to be business-wise or or
personalized whatever it is it could be lifting you know every time you you know
you hit your macros with your with nutrition where every time you you know
you lift you know 20 sets every day or whatever it is whatever whatever it is
incentivize yourself to get the things done that you know that you need to get
things done so hope you guys really really like this I hope that you liked
the video if you did you thought I brought you some value today please hit
that like button it really really helps the channel grow and I genuinely
appreciate it and it lets me know that I'm on the right track also let me know
in the comment section down below if you've ever tried anything like this and
if you haven't let me know if you even think that it would make a difference
for you if you did I'd love to hear from you and with that being said I'll see
you guys in the next one

Stanford Bioengineers Develop Simple Test for Preterm Birth Risk - Duration: 2:09.
Preterm birth is a huge problem world-wide.
And even in the United States it's the leading
cause of neonatal death and complications
later in life.
Unfortunately, there's no good test right now
to figure out whether or not a woman will
deliver preterm for a specific pregnancy.
And we felt like this was an especially important
problem to address.
Our test takes advantage of a phenomenon called
circulating cell-free RNA.
From a simple blood draw from the mom
we purified and sequenced mRNA transcripts
that are derived from various different tissues
from both the mom, the fetus, and the placenta.
Using transcriptomic analysis, we identified
which transcripts predict gestational age
and risk of preterm birth.
Our study has two main findings. The first is
that we can predict gestational age with
comparable accuracy to ultrasound.
And the second is that we can predict risk
of preterm birth. Meaning that, for a given
pregnancy, we can predict whether or not
that woman is likely to deliver preterm.
So, our cell-free RNA based test
has the advantage that it can serve
resource limited communities
essentially because it just requires the collection
of a blood sample. So, we do not need to
bring ultrasound instrumentation
into the field.
For instance, in many countries in Africa
and Southeast Asia the rates of preterm
delivery are above 10 percent.
And by using our test, we could both get
the gestational age of the pregnancy
and estimated risk of preterm delivery
in these communities that right now do not have
any of the two measurements.
I first got interested in this problem when
I became a parent. My daughter was born nearly
a month premature. And I was able to see
firsthand all the consequences of that.
She's now a very healthy and active 16-year-old.
But it certainly stuck in my mind that this is an
important problem to work on.
We spent more than six years working on this
in my lab at Stanford, along with a very large
group of collaborators, both at Stanford
and at Pennsylvania, Alabama, and in Denmark.
The tests we've developed are both affordable
and accessible. In addition, it opens the door
to new types of tests, like predicting preterm
delivery, which before wasn't an option.
And together, all of this means that women
all over the world will have better prenatal care.
And hopefully that means healthier pregnancies
and healthier babies.

Do This Simple Experiment and Increase Your Awareness with Eckhart Tolle - Duration: 24:22.
so you may have realized already how important the stillness is in this room
the external stillness which we could call silence and there's a lot of it
despite the words and the inner stillness what does they mean inner
stillness it means and this is the secret consciousness conscious without
thought
a state of great intelligence not a thought is not going to operate ever
gain but that becomes your home the foundation that what you're rooted in is
that dimension of inner stillness that is there in the background it is the
back ground to everything that happens
and that's already in you of course but most humans are so identified with what
happens in the foreground of the existence sense perceptions events
experiences thoughts emotions everything that happens externally draws you the
world does that this matters and you believe that it matters absolutely and
then the next thing matters even more and then the phone call comes now this
is really serious and mostly every thought likes to matter take me
seriously says every thought think think
and even psychologists who are not interested in Provence or anything like
that have examined the human mind and realized that 99% of our thinking is
totally repetitive and yet it's serious
so that's being lost when only the foreground whatever happens in your life
and the foreground of your life influence thoughts and emotions and
external things when that absorbs all your attention continuously one thing
after another almost when one of my favorite calls as Churchill said one
damn thing after he was talking about world history but he could have been
talking about the human mind it's the same it only reflects the auto reflects
the inner one damn thing one damned thought after and of course nobody can
argue with the fact that this is trouble because if you read world history you
can see legit is one dreadful thing after another you look at your own mind
when you're lost in it it's not a pleasant place occasional
Pleasant thoughts can't happen and then quickly they turn around must have
another face like do like honeymoon divorce so being lost is
a normal state but I'll start there lost here there's only that dimension
then to your life we could call it what happens I'm only
interested in what happens and complaining about what's not happening
what should be happening
of course not happening in the right way ever and yet there is in you a dimension
that frees you from total identification
with the world which includes the mind
and when you become conscious of that dimension that's presence when I say
conscious of that I mention language creates a duality that isn't there
that's what language does because you become conscious of that dimension as
yourself as the essence of who you are so that's not to one
and this begins simply by acknowledging as we sit here the dimension of silence
which is inner stillness simply to notice that there is apart from the
words there is silence in other words the words are the foreground the silence
is the background and when you notice that there is silence in between and
underneath the words that moment of noticing is the arising of presence in
you the moment you notice silence you become still inside it's only because
you became still inside and you can't even notice that there is silence apart
from the words the strange thing is thought cannot even notice that there is
silence because thought is noise so if I ask you the question can you find out if
there's silence in this room apart from the words if you want to truly answer
that question you have to go yes but while you went like went you are not
thinking there wasn't alert presence then of course when he said yes that was
thought again that's all right so whatever you notice and not only as we
sit here because you may already have noticed and if you have that's a clear
sign that presence is arising in you you may already have noticed that there is
quite a lot of silence around here even if you step outside especially if you've
come from a city you may notice that strongly that there is and or in your
room
and here and if you didn't notice that it means how could you have noticed it
if you're not for that moment at least seen that there was no thought if there
had been thought continuous stream of thinking which is still the destiny of
many humans their fate you would not even have known it or without knowing it
you would have felt uncomfortable very uncomfortable and he would have done to
the TV set if you have one in your room by the way I recommend strongly that you
don't use it you would have gone to the TV set put it on it's nice and you
didn't even know why you felt uncomfortable but if you noticed it who
noticed it not you the mic made entity the egoic entity know something deeper
in you the presence the stillness in you notice otherwise you would not have
noticed it someone was visiting Thailand he told me he was visiting monasteries
and he climbed up this hill one long long way from any city on the hill is a
beautiful monastery climbed up this hill he arrived at top of the hill entered
the monastery silence absolute silence monks walking around he said this is
paradise register here and suddenly she plowed speakers started coming on that
were hidden in the trees was the Thai version of kind of pop songs
this cannot be and he ran to a monk and said what is happening
he said we're expecting a group of lay devotees from Bangkok and they become
very uncomfortable when it's totally silent here so to make them feel better
we put on that music so my friend the pilgrim went on tour it wasn't paradise
it never is external here looking for it externally
some of the people from Bangkok complained don't like it it's just there
was so much mental noise it became uncomfortable so one of the
things here during our retreat essential absolutely still notice the silence not
only while we come together here also when you walk from one building to
another when you're in your room or going for a walk in nature notice the
background of silence because in nature you have some yes beautiful gentle
sounds and you hear those you pay attention to that but you also pay
attention to the underlying silence then that dimension arises in you and you can
walk there as a walking field of stillness alert stillness
and no longer walking there carrying the heaviness of your mind the noise Factory
and the happiness of your personal history that you need to think about
while you're walking in nature your problematic life situation the time
limit of your existence there's no life situation that is not
problematic and if it's not problematic right now wait a little because whenever
you're only identified with that level that dimension
everything is problematic and if it's not now it'll become problematic it gave
the example of the honeymoon early morn is not problematic and the original
later turns into problematic the great job that you've just got was a big
paycheck is not problematic and a year later you become sick with stress or
there's so much infighting that it's becomes hell or in many ways in which
situations can turn around and become problematic again and that's the one
damn thing after another and that's the truth of Buddha who said wherever you go
whatever you do whoever you meet whatever situation you're going to
whatever place you know whatever put anything it's took her suffering it's
not suffering now just wait and of course he talked about being lost in the
world so one our practice here
to notice the silence and noticing is enough then thoughts come back and then
again there's more lightness you see we will notice as you'll hear a continuous
shift probably between thoughts arising and presence and if it's only if it's
90% thoughts and 10% presence that's great already because we are in an
evolutionary shift so the new is arising in you but as presence arises the
ability to witness thoughts so that thoughts don't overpower you completely
grows before in the absence of presence every thought has you completely in its
grip and the emotion usually comes with it that goes with that thought hole and
then as presence arises comes the ability to notice your thoughts in the
same way that you notice an external noise and then you may notice there's a
lot of noise up here the noticing comes always from presence from the stillness
so when you notice that your mind is noisy walls noisy how do you know that
because you have some access to that I mention that is unconditioned the
consciousness that is unconditioned which is present see we another little
point the unconditioned consciousness that is presence
and from there you can see all what your mind is doing
and the might then is no longer a serious business you can even start to
smile and what it does it's mechanical after while he looks through the main
strategies of the minds how it tries to get your attention and so on they are
you are going there it is the mind becomes depersonalized
before the mind was me the mind and the accumulated memories that make up my
personal history was me and I walked around with the burden of me with my
unfulfilled history unfulfilled and um fulfilling not enough and whatever
strange thoughts were associated with that the knife passed me by unfair be
treated me unfairly I missed it whatever thoughts you have about your personal
history something went wrong in nineteen something 1984
shouldn't have happened that's why I cannot be happy now or you carry an
identity based on an unpleasant experience that somebody did to you you
survived and that's wonderful yes it was dreadful because as long as
humanity is unconscious totally identified with mind they do many
dreadful things so you cannot come onto this planet without experiencing
dreadful things some are more dreadful than others and you suffer there's no
child that doesn't suffer and yet
to build an identity on the basis of past pain is a dreadful limitation to
have a a painful story that is the story of me and needing to think about that
because you cannot think about it gradually you might even forget and need
to talk about it continuously and then see yourself as they saw that you have a
labor fight no matter how tragic it was at the time and some awful things have
happened are happening at this very moment in certain parts of the planet no
matter what it is the fact is you survived
and yet the mind news date because it's always looking for a stronger sense of
self it's looking for an identity it's looking for stronger me and it can use
something like that something very bad that happened to me all the other way
around something very bad that I did to someone so that's guilt you identify
with something that you once did and you wouldn't do it now but there you didn't
know any better that's why it happened unconsciousness so if you identify with
unconsciousness either that came through you or what other unconscious humans do
to you there you create a heavy painful sense
of self
as story but everybody has their story even if there's not one big traumatic
event in their lives they have their own story the personal story the identity
and how liberating it is to see that it is no more than things that happened but
ultimately that is not who you are you are not the accumulation of those
memories or emotions that's there yes
so as presence arises you recognize that was never who you are your personal
history has its place undoubtedly it happened you may have old photos to
prove it it really happened and the photos at some point begin to fade even
I haven't yet reached old age but even I have photos of my childhood that are
already beginning to fade they're gone yellow
the story is dissolving wouldn't it be strange if photos faded more quickly
than the human body and after 10 years you open your photo album there's
nothing left wow that feels good and yet there is a dimension in every human that
was never really touched by what happened
the eternal timeless state of consciousness that is presence
you
