Fed Up Trey Gowdy Fires Warning Shot At Washington D C !

Trey Gowdy is the last Congressman liberals want to see digging into corruption.

He made his name investigating Hillary Clinton's conduct during the Benghazi scandal and uncovered

her private email server.

Now, his new role has the left terrified.

Congressman Gowdy announced he was taking a seat on the Intelligence Committee.

Gowdy taking a seat on the Intelligence Committee could not come at a more opportune time.

Obama administration political appointees in the intelligence community repeatedly leaked

stories to the press designed to smear then President-elect Trump.

Shortly before the Electoral College vote, stories appeared in The Washington Post and

NBC News about reports that it was the assessment of the intelligence community that Russian

President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian hackers to interfere in the election in order to help

elect Trump.

Obama's political people at the CIA and other intelligence agencies leaked the story

to paint Trump as a Russian agent, and maybe even influence the Electoral College vote.

After the Electoral College affirmed Trump's victory, an opposition research memo prepared

by an ex-British intelligence agent for political opponents of Trump surfaced in the press — after

it was included in a briefing for President Obama and Vice President Biden.

The memo was filled with unverified and debunked gossip that alleged Trump committed scandalous

acts while traveling in Russia, and that his associate met with agents of the Kremlin.

The memo alleged the Russian government possessed compromising information on Trump.

All of it was false, but many believed it was leaked to the press by Obama political

appointees in the intelligence community.

Some Republicans were outraged.

Senator Rand Paul declared someone should go to jail for these leaks.

Breitbart reports on Senator Paul's appearance on CNN:

PAUL: "I THINK IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THAT PRIVATE INFORMATION THAT'S DISCUSSED IN

PRIVATE INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS BE PRIVATE. CLASSIFIED INFORMATION SHOULD NOT BE LEAKED

TO THE PRESS. I DON'T KNOW WHO DID THIS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU IN ALL LIKELIHOOD, IT WASN'T

A REPUBLICAN. IT WASN'T DONALD TRUMP. IT WASN'T HIS PEOPLE. SO YOU HAVE A COUPLE

OF CHOICES. THIS WAS EITHER LEAKED TO NETWORKS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS BY INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS

OR BY DEMOCRATS THAT ARE PART OF THE ELITE EIGHT THAT GET THESE BRIEFINGS. THERE'S

ONLY A FEW PEOPLE WHO COULD HAVE LEAKED THIS INFORMATION. THE REASON WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

IS THAT YOU DON'T WANT PUBLIC OFFICIALS WHO ARE BEING BLACKMAILED TO BE AFRAID TO

GO TO THE FBI AND SAY 'HERE'S THIS INFORMATION.' IF A PUBLIC OFFICIAL TAKES PRIVATE INFORMATION

THAT YOU ARE BEING BLACKMAILED WITH TO THE FBI AND THEN IT LEAKS INTO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN,

THAT IS INEXCUSABLE, AND REALLY SOMEBODY SHOULD GO TO JAIL AND WE HAVE NOT TALKED ABOUT THIS

ENOUGH. A LEAK LIKE THAT IS SO SIGNIFICANT IF IT CAME FROM THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY,

THEY SHOULD GO TO JAIL. IF IT CAME FROM THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, THEY SHOULD GO TO JAIL.

YOU CANNOT ALLOW THE LEAKING OF CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS, PARTICULARLY WHENS IT GOES TO SOMEONE'S

CHARACTER SO I THINK THIS IS A TRAGEDY AND DONALD TRUMP IS RIGHT TO BE MAD."

With Congressman Gowdy and his reputation for dogged pursuit of the truth now on the

intelligence community, many feel reassured that any politically-motivated leaks to hurt

President Trump will be exposed and the perpetrators held accountable

Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Sued by Washington Woman Who Claims He Sexually Assaulted Her - Duration: 3:28.

A 22-year-old Washington woman has filed a civil lawsuit against former adult film actor Ron Jeremy, alleging he sexually assaulted her last November when both attended a promotional event at an adult retailer in Tacoma

The alleged incident happened at Castle Megastore on Sept. 22, 2017.  According to the suit, which was obtained by PEOPLE, the woman sued Jeremy after local authorities declined to file criminal charges against the actor, who was born Ronald Hyatt

The complainant, Kristen Brodie, was a college student working as a promotional model

She was attending the event as a representative for KISW, a Seattle radio station

(PEOPLE does not usually identify alleged victims of sex crimes, but Brodie, through her attorney, has agreed to be named

)  The suit alleges Brodie was groped and sexually assaulted by Hyatt four times over the course of the evening

The suit alleges that during separate attacks, Hyatt fondled Brodie's breasts and buttocks, and that he "forcefully" digitally penetrated her

The suit alleges that afterward, Hyatt asked, 'Did that give you goosebumps?'"  Hyatt is also accused of putting his mouth on Brodie's breasts in the lawsuit

During one of the alleged attacks, Hyatt allegedly brushed away one of his own handlers, telling them, "I'll be done in a sec[ond]," the suit alleges

The suit seeks unspecified damages.  PEOPLE could not reach Hyatt's lawyer, Stuart Goldfarb, for comment, but he told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer his client denies touching Brodie's genitals

"He absolutely denies that," Goldfarb said. "He didn't put his finger into her

"  The lawyer told the paper his client is innocent, saying, "Women often line up and there's mutual touching

He in many cases autographs their breast and it's consensual."  Goldfarb added, "I don't know if he pulled her shirt down, but I know that he may have touched her breast, he may have kissed her on the back of her neck and he's been doing this for 40 years and has never had a problem

… She came back after she said he touched her and was doing a selfie with him. … If in fact it she felt it was inappropriate, she should have said something and believe me, he wouldn't have touched her

Austin Rivers sees trade to Washington as 'a great opportunity for me' - Duration: 5:40.

Austin Rivers remembers sitting on his balcony, enjoying a lazy moment during an offseason that he has dedicated to improving his weaknesses, when he received an incoming call

On the other end was Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Sam Cassell with news that would disrupt this summer serenity

Cassell advised Rivers to relax, remember to breathe, just stay calm — because he was about to be traded

As Rivers recalled this story to reporters Monday afternoon at Capital One Arena, he shared the raw emotions that a player feels upon learning that he'd soon become a business transaction

Complicating matters further is that the team that traded him away is coached by his father, Doc Rivers

Then, Rivers explained how his shock turned to enthusiasm when he found out which team he would be joining

He could relax and breathe a bit easier because he'd soon be in Washington, a location too serendipitous to disregard

Rivers grew up in amateur basketball competing against Bradley Beal. He has spent the past few weeks working out in Miami with the same trainer as John Wall

Overall, Rivers, 25, joins a Wizards team with players in similar stages of life and career

Los Angeles had been home for three-and-a half years, but in Washington, Rivers sees a welcome mat and a chance for a fresh start

"Very excited to be here," Rivers said during his introduction Monday. "It's like an old AAU team

" In January 2015, the Clippers traded for Rivers, who had spent the start of his young career floundering in New Orleans

While the situation in L.A. created fun trivia — Austin became the first player in NBA history to be coached by his dad — it also forced Rivers to play in the elder's shadow

The perception of nepotism dogged Rivers even as he progressed into a capable professional

"People either loved it or people either hated it. It was one or the other," Rivers said, chuckling at the memory

"But it was something I'll never forget. I don't think obviously he will. When I get older, I'll probably reflect on it

… I'll be like, 'Man, I can't believe that even happened.' But with that came a lot of stuff

" Still while facing criticism, Rivers developed into a two-way player — because he had to

Rivers entered the league without a strong jumper, so he made himself useful as a defender

"I promise you I didn't play any defense at Duke," Rivers joked. Then once he grew confident with his shot, Rivers became a scoring threat from the perimeter

Rivers credited Cassell for helping him develop into an off-the-dribble shooter, and over the past two seasons with the Clippers, he attempted 1,536 three-pointers with 43-percent accuracy

With Rivers's ability to play with the team's starting backcourt, as well as spell Wall and Beal from defending the opponent's top guards, the Wizards believe they've found another piece that suits their plans

"The way he plays fits in real well with what we're trying to do," team president Ernie Grunfeld said

"And that's move up and down the floor a little bit more. Be able to switch out on the perimeter and the more players you have that are versatile and that can create not only for themselves but for others, the better off you are

" After Rivers finished revisiting the day he learned he would be traded, and performing a spot-on Cassell impersonation, he repeatedly expressed excitement for landing in Washington

Here, he wants to relax, breathe and just play basketball. "This is a great opportunity for me to come here and just compete and play without all of that stuff that comes with it," Rivers said, referring to his previous time while playing under his father

"But more importantly, just being on a playoff team, man. That's the most fun. I mean, not making the playoffs this year was horrendous

Like just sitting here on the couch and watching these guys because that's the only thing that matters is playing at that level

Just being on a playoff team is very exciting for me."

Fabulous reader photos of a hot summer weekend in Washington - Duration: 2:27.

A female American goldfinch on Sunday. (Erinn Shirley) High temperatures climbed well into the 90s this weekend, but it didn't keep some of us from going out and at least trying to enjoy the dry weather

Some were vacationing at the Delaware and Maryland shores, where an ocean breeze kept things a little cooler

Others took to the fountains — or rather, they took their kids to the fountains — to play in some cold water

There were others, though, who stood on baking cement in punishing heat for a chance to see the Stanley Cup

These brave, apparently thermo-immune Capitals fans waited outside in line for hours at the Kettler Ice Complex in Arlington, and many of them were turned away in the end

Whatever you did this weekend, we hope you stayed cool doing it. Thanks to everyone who shared their photos with us! [Live updates on Washington's hottest day] Waiting in line for a glimpse of the Stanley Cup at the Capitals practice complex in Ballston

June 2018 recap: Washington was slightly hot and muggy, and quite wet - Duration: 4:23.

Water inundates the fish market at the Wharf in Washington on June 5. (Loic Pritchett) While June ended up on the hot side of average, it was not an extreme meteorological month

The temperature was just one degree warmer than the 30-year normal.  In other words, June felt pretty June-like

We hit 90 degrees or higher on only six days during the entire month, which is close to normal

The average temperature of 76.2 matched 2016's and was about one degree cooler than June last year

The month may be mostly recalled for the continuation of a humid, wet weather pattern that began the second week of May

It resulted in rainfall on a third of June days and pushed the month's total to 5

21 inches, a healthy 1.43 inches above normal. Early in the month, excessive rainfall in Washington and especially out toward the mountains pushed Potomac River levels to their 17th highest crest in Georgetown on June 5

[The Potomac at Great Falls explodes at flood stage: 'I have never seen the river appear so violent'] June weather extremes and records The month's coolest weather occurred early and produced lows in the crisp 50s

It seems like a lifetime ago given the current heat wave. The month's hottest reading of 95 occurred June 19

Our wettest day was early in the month before the pattern started to dry out some

Here are the numbers for weather extremes during June 2018 at Reagan National Airport: The heat records set during the month coincided with the heat wave around June 18 and 19: National: June 19: Record warm low temperature of 77 exceeded 75 from 2011, 1994, 1981 and 1978

Dulles Airport: June 18: Record high temperature of 94 ties 2007. June 19: Record warm low temperature of 71 ties 2014

June weather pattern After the United States endured a cool-dominated March and April, both May and June offered the opposite with widespread warmth

Nationally, all of this heat spurred the second-hottest June on record (a three-way tie with 1994)

Below is the map of temperatures differences from average during June and you can see that Washington, while warm, was spared the hottest heat: The widespread warm conditions, which resulted from persistent hot high-pressure systems, is a summer impact from lingering atmospheric La Niña conditions

They should fade later this summer, perhaps as quickly as the second half of July

[July outlook: The month kicks off like a firecracker but heat should ease in second half] June forecast evaluation A month ago, just ahead of June's start, we made the following predictions: Here is what actually happened: Since the main themes of temperatures similar to 2016 and wettest since 2015 worked out well, we give ourselves a grade of B

January-through-June temperature and precipitation rankings Can you believe 2018 is half over already? Well, here is how the first half of 2018 is ranking in terms of precipitation and temperature: It has been warmer and wetter than normal but nothing crazy or extreme

Breaking News - Washington DC mayor declares a new holiday called 'Wayne Rooney Day' - Duration: 5:16.

A new holiday has been proclaimed in the USA to mark Wayne Rooney's move to MLS outfit DC United

Washington DC mayor Muriel Bowser has officially declared 'Wayne Rooney Day' after the former Manchester United and England captain's move to America was rubber-stamped on Monday

The 32-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal in the American capital and his arrival has been greeted with a degree of fanfare

DC United tweeted out a proclamation from the city's mayor declaring July 2 'Wayne Rooney Day'

It read: 'DC United fans here in Washington, DC and throughout our region anticipate following Wayne Rooney dribbling his way to securing his and his team's place in our Sports Capital's canon

'Now, therefore, I, the Mayor of Washington DC, do hereby proclaim July 2, 2018 as 'Wayne Rooney Day' in Washington, DC

' His new career will officially begin on July 14 when the MLS side open their new stadium with a game against Vancouver Whitecaps

WHEREAS, After many seasons as the leading goal scorer with Manchester United and Everton in the United Kingdom, global soccer sensation Wayne Rooney has signed with Washington, DC's own DC United; and WHEREAS, Wayne Rooney's arrival in the Sports Capital brings palpable excitement to fans already buoyed by the soon-to-be-opened Audi Field in Washington's Ward 6; and WHEREAS, With almost 500 matches, 208 goals, and many Player of the Year accolades behind him, we look forward to Wayne Rooney adding more games, goals, and championships to his already impressive career stats; and WHEREAS, Born in Liverpool, England, we think Wayne Rooney and his family will feel right at home here in Washington, DC, home to a diverse population of more than 700,000 strong and where you can find a restaurant or two that offers classic British fare such as bangers and mash, fish and chips, and shepherd's pie; and  WHEREAS, When stadium employees, fans, press, and teammates begin filing into Audi Field for the first time, the energy coursing through the new home for DC United, combined with the addition to its roster of the iconic and world-renowned striker Wayne Rooney, will be dynamic and befitting that of a five-time Premier League champion; and WHEREAS, DC United fans here in Washington, DC and throughout our region anticipate following Wayne Rooney dribbling his way to securing his and his team's place in our Sports Capital's canon: NOW, THEREFORE, I, THE MAYOR OF WASHINGTON, DC, do hereby proclaim July 2, 2018 as 'WAYNE ROONEY DAY' in Washington, DC

For his part, Rooney insists he has not gone to America to retire, though it was not his decision to leave Everton just 12 months after rejoining his old club

Rooney returned to his boyhood club last July and finished the season as Everton's leading scorer but major shareholder Farhad Moshiri was key in the decision to let him move

'Everton is the club I grew up supporting I was delighted and grateful to go back last summer but in football you never know whats round the corner,' said Rooney

'I'm sure there are questions about why I left and the people who want to know can ask Everton and let them answer

He said: 'I'm not here to see out the last few years of my career I'm here to compete and to win

'Yesterday I had a go at some of the academy players for not running as hard as they should - I always set high targets and I demand that of myself and my team-mates

'I'll adapt to the way the club is ran and embrace it.'

The Inn at Little Washington's recipe for success - Duration: 7:33.

In a world where diners are always searching for the next big thing, it's hard to imagine someone maintaining a standard of excellence for 40 years – let alone celebrating that milestone with 200-year-old recipes at the home of one of our founding fathers, Mount Vernon

But chef Patrick O'Connell has never cared about what's popular. And that helped him accomplish what most people said was impossible

Before it was a world-famous restaurant, the Inn at Little Washington was just a run-down gas station in a town with fewer than 200 people

Now, the rural Virginia eaterie is celebrating its 40th anniversary.  "There is no shortage, and never will be, of people telling you why something won't work," said O'Connell

"But if you feel it in your gut, there is a great thrill in going against all the negativity

" In 1978, O'Connell arrived in the rural town of Washington, Virginia, 70 miles west of Mount Vernon, and turned a former gas station and garage into the Inn at Little Washington

CBS News' Jan Crawford asked, "What was your vision?" "Well, my mother always said I wasn't too well-grounded in reality

But I say it has served me well," he replied.  People thought he was crazy, this local boy who loved to cook but never even went to cooking school

Even his mother had doubts: "She said, 'Now, dear, if things don't work out we could always sell that wonderful granola you make door to door," O'Connell laughed

"Was that encouraging?" "I was so pissed!" Instead, O'Connell built a masterpiece – a two-star Michelin restaurant and five-star hotel in rural Virginia that attracts visitors from D

C. to Abu Dhabi.  Entering the kitchen is stepping into the middle of a well-choreographed ballet

Chef Patrick O'Connell in the kitchen at the Inn at Little Washington. CBS News  After starting as the inn's only cook on opening night, when dinner was $4

95, O'Connell now oversees dozens of kitchen staff with discipline and humor.  That humor can be found in the details – cheese served on the back of a cow ("We just milk it for all it's worth," said one server), and chefs are decked out in dalmatian-spotted aprons in honor of the inn's mascot

Chef Patrick O'Connell, staff and mascot at the Inn at Little Washington. Inn at Little Washington  But what's most remarkable is that O'Connell found satisfaction with what was right in front of him, 40 years in this one place

"All you have to do is, whatever you did yesterday, try to make it a teeny-weeny bit better today," he said

"That builds a kind of momentum." Along with success comes pressure to deliver. "Nothing's ever perfect

So there are moments when something comes together and you go 'Yesssssss!' And then you look to your left, but that's not right

" "But you can at least let yourself have that moment?" Crawford asked.  "You can have half a moment," O'Connell replied

But he's not the kind of tyrannical chef whose employees live in fear; his are like family

Director of dining services Neil O'Heir has worked here 25 years – now alongside his sons

"I think you have to buy in to chef's vision, which is perfection," said O'Heir. "But we're never going to get there

" O'Connell and his business have transformed this little town, renovating dozens of historic buildings, many that stood when George Washington first arrived here as a teenager – four decades spent bringing an impossible dream to life

"Dream the dream; you can always scale it back," O'Connell said. "Otherwise you lose your ability to dream

You know, fairytales can come true." Crawford observed, "You've transformed a place and created a beautiful experience

" "Not without sacrifice. You have to be willing to give something up; in order to do that, you have to want it pretty badly

" And what did he give up?  "Life as you know it!" "This is your life," said Crawford

"Yes. So it's not a bad trade!" O'Connell says he's not done yet. There are more buildings to renovate, and two more books in the works – even a film project with Virginia Public Media, where O'Connell will take viewers through the doors of this kitchen and inside his magical world

Jason Washington Was Shot Dead by PSU Cops | Heavy.com - Duration: 6:19.

Jason Washington Was Shot Dead by PSU Cops | Heavy.com

Jason Washington was shot dead by Portland State University cops while trying to break-up a fight outside of a bar, witnesses said.

The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m.

on June 29, close to the Cheerful Tortoise bar.

Police had been responding to a disturbance call in the area.

Witness Keyaira Smith told KPTV, "It started a little earlier in the night and it led up to yelling across streets.

And then, from there, it just kind of took a turn from the worst." A video posted by Fox Portland's Tyler Dumont shows the officers opening fire on the man:.

Keyaira Smith told Oregon Public Broadcasting that the incident began with a man wearing blue using racial slurs.

KPTV reports that Washington was armed with a gun in a holster on his hip and that police could be heard saying, "Drop the gun," prior to opening fire.

Keyaira Smith told the station, "He had fallen and hit the ground, and you hear the pistol hit the ground, and from there I didn't see if it had fallen out of his pocket – they said it fell out of his pocket, and that he picked it back up." The KPTV report says that Washington had apparently been attempting to hold back his friend.

Smith told Oregon Public Broadcasting, "The gun slipped out of the holster when he had fallen, and I think he may have tried to retrieve it.

Then they said 'gun.' There was absolutely no hesitation at all.

[The officer] went straight for his gun." Smith said Washington had his back to the officers when he was shot.

According to his Facebook page, Washington was a U.S.

Navy veteran.

Since November 1997, Washington had worked for the U.S.

Post Office.

He says on his LinkedIn page that he work as a city carrier Washington graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon.

He also attended Portland Community College.

KOIN was the first to report that the cops in question were Shawn McKenzie and James Dewey.

No officers were injured during the shooting.

McKenzie and Dewey are listed as "Campus Police Officers" on the Portland Police Department website.

KPIC reported in April 2018 that James Dewey graduated from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Basic Police Class.

Both Dewey and McKenzie have been sworn PSU officers since 2016.

McKenzie has been a public safety officer since 2002, Dewey since 2014, reports KOIN.

In November 2013, McKenzie had been the arresting officer in a trespass case involving a Japanese PSU student who was accused of trespassing for parking in a school garage without a proper permit.

The charges against Koji Ono were dropped on the day of his trial.

In a statement, the Portland Police Department said that both of the officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.

The press release reads, "The investigation is in its early stages and additional information will be released as the investigation continues and more information is learned." Washington was found dead at the scene.

Witness Andy Hansen, who was working nearby, told the Oregonian that the gunfire "sounded like a burst of firecrackers.

" Hansen shortly after the shooting he saw around 10 police cruisers at the scene.

The Portland State University police have been armed since a 2014 vote by the board of trustees, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

When the announcement was made that police on campus were to be armed, a student was quoted in a survey as saying, "I am so worried about having armed police at school.

I am a tall African American Male.

I have had to swallow my pride too many times to get away from 'Jumpy Officers' alive.

I hate to think of paying so much money to be at PSU and have the potential to have negative experiences with someone I help to pay.".
