Okay! We made it! This is the brand-new hotel called The Guest House at Graceland.
So I'm really excited about seeing it inside. We don't get to stay here tonight,
but we do get to do a tour. So we'll see what's happening and then we'll fill you in.
Yeah! Pretty lobby, and this is the Front Desk where you check in.
And the chairs are kind of flipped up like that because that's how Elvis
usually did - he flipped up his collar. That's a nod Elvis there.
There's the bar area. It's nice.
There's the gift shop.
A lot of Elvis stuff of course, in the gift shop.
A lot of CDs.
The TCB, Taking Care of Business mugs. That's cool.
That was one of Elvis' symbols.
$50 for a robe.
It's a really nice gift shop here at the Guest House. .
This is Delta's Kitchen.
They open for breakfast, close for a while, and then open back up for dinner.
So, 6-10 am for breakfast. And then 5-10 pm for dinner.
This is our fine dining restaurant. There are two restaurants.
Is there a dress code? No, no ma'am.
No dress code.
So, now, do you have performers that come in and do live entertainment?
Sometimes. We recently had Marty Stuart.
Wow, this is really pretty.
There are ballrooms here.
So this is kind of a big meeting center, too. Oh, yeah, that's nice! Big meeting room here for all kinds of events.
And do you have an indoor pool or an outdoor pool? We have an outdoor pool.
If you stand right under the Golden Globe here, you can hear your voice echo.
Hello, hello, hello! Oh yeah you do! Yeah! Step under the Golden Globe and you hear an echo. That's cool.
It's a very pretty resort and it's very new.
And it's right in the heart of Elvis Presley country. Right by Graceland.
The Guest House is there and just down the street is Graceland.
This is the fitness center.
This is the hospitality suite. Thank you!
Oh, wow! This is nice!
There's a big picture of one of his suits. A TV.
Yeah, it looks like the '50's, '60's.
There's a bathroom here.
A walk-in shower.
Oh, that's nice.
There's a bed here. Oh it looks like some of the beds at Disney, the pull down beds. The Inova Tablebeds.
I can pull it down for you! Haha - no that's ok! No problem!
And does this turn into a bed too? No.
And is this like a one-of-a-kind room or are there more like this? There are more like this.
It's really nice.
This would be great to have if you were holding a family reunion or a meeting.
There's a kitchen area and lots of different spaces.
And these are some of the Elvis pictures.
Notice they don't have any pictures of like his face.
They said he wasn't the type of dude that just broadcast himself and be real cocky.
But he liked the glitzy wear didn't he!
And the lamps have EP on them - Elvis Presley.
There's a game area out here. An area where they have a bonfire and a pool.
Nice big courtyard out here.
It's a really nice pool area.
Here's the bonfire, fire pit area, and a ping-pong table
and foosball table.
Very pretty grounds out here.
We're on the seventh floor, and that is a Suites-only floor. And it's the top floor.
754. A doorbell.
This is one of the suite rooms, and it's kind of decorated like I think
Elvis would like it.
Look at that big couch. It's amazing.
Kind of curves around like an "S" or something.
You can look out the window here and see the whole pool area.
Oh yeah!
Good view of the pool area - that's neat!
This is the kitchen area. Here we have a frig.
Big bed.
Big TV. And there's a lot of pictures on the wall that she pointed out that don't
have his face in it, but just show his clothing.
Here's the bathroom off of the bedroom.
Is this the shower? Yes ma'am.
And a separate walk-in shower area.
Is that a jacuzzi tub? Yes.
Do you wanna get inside? Haha - sure!
And there's a closet in here too.
Another bathroom in there.
It's stocked with all the shower gels and stuff.
I think those were some of the same products they were selling downstairs in the gift shop. Yes. Yes, ma'am, it is.
It's contemporary, but then it reminds me of the '50's and '60's.
That bed is awesome.
Look at this stone wall.
It's neat.
It's a cool stone wall.
And then it seems like concierge would probably fill the fridge with whatever drinks and stuff you want. Yes.
This is the Cantina on the seventh floor.
It's a vending machine area, and ice machine, and does take credit cards.
That's nice.
We have music playing on a Tuesday and Wednesday. It'll be a band called, "The Stitch".
Tonight there will be a man on the piano. Is it like a sing-along where the people will sing with him? They will.
We have Karaoke every Wednesday.
This opens at 6 a.m. and stays open all day.
This is, "Shake, Rattle & Go". Kind of grab and go area. Coffee, Pastries,
beverages, breakfast sandwiches.
This is the EP Bar & Grill.
There are a lot of really cool areas here at this hotel.
Pool table.
Memphis Burger. Signature Blended Beef, American Cheese, Bacon, Fried Green Tomato on it.
So they've got Peanut Butter Banana Pound Cake, Banana Pudding, and the Key Lime Tart.
Yeah, I would come just for the appetizers and the dessert!
I like the golden deer and moose on the wall. That's cool.
Oh, wow!
I bet you have a lot of brides want their picture right there! Uh huh!
That's beautiful!
So this chandelier is a replica of what's in Graceland? Yes.
It is a pet-friendly Hotel, at least for certain sizes of animals.
This is how pretty the ladies restrooms are.
The Guest House At Graceland got a Four Diamond Award in 2018. From AAA.
The Guest House At Graceland is really nice.
Very pretty, inside and out. Nice rooms and pool area and restaurants. And it just looks amazing.
So now our tour ended and we love this hotel. What did you think, Stan?
I thought it was amazing. It's really nice. Really pretty.
I think Elvis would love it. She said that his wife comes frequently, and that
his daughter has stayed too. So that's really cool too that they like have
approved of it, and they thought it was really awesome. That the engineers did a great job.
great job. That was cool too. And I loved the Suite. Didn't you love the suite? Yeah!
The Hospitality Suite was nice, but I really liked the actual suite. Like that
couch was amazing. The bedroom was amazing, and the bathroom.
Oh my gosh. I thought it was awesome. The grounds are huge, like you can tell
on the map here. But then when you're here in person it doesn't look really
that big because it looks really walkable, didn't it. So maybe we can come
back. Yeah, come back sometime and stay!
And get a peanut butter and jelly and banana sandwich. She said there's a stand open every
night, that they open up at 5:00, and what did she say, it goes from 5:00 to 9:00. And
they like have any jelly that you could think of, grape, raspberry, strawberry.
Whatever you want. And then she said they have all kinds of like little goodies
that you can stick on it. Like bananas, M&M's, and of course get the peanut butter with it and marshmallows.
The tiny marshmallow. Of course he was always known for eating the Fluffernutter.
Which I asked did they make that in the restaurant but, they didn't. They had banana pudding and
they had banana pound cake.
He loved his bananas! He did. I thought it was really cool. I'm glad we
got to come and I'm glad I got to see it. And you can like hear his music in the
background as you're just sitting here in the lobby.
Everywhere you go, you walk around you hear it. Okay, so we'll wrap this up for now
We'll see you soon! Bye!
