(111 + 22 m²) A Proposal For A Modern House Project, Simple, Beautiful Building For The Urban
-------------------------------------------
Man Puts Off Simple Task For Months - Duration: 4:44.
- [Narrator] Dan and Jackie are looking to add this shelf
to this empty wall.
- When we saw it in the store, we were like, it's perfect.
It's wood, it fits the space, it's just; it's perfect.
- [Narrator] But it's been two months
since Dan said he'd put the shelf up.
- Yeah, I'll get to it.
- [Narrator] He says he'll do it eventually.
She's ready for the shelf to be up.
Let's see if we can help them get it done.
- I'm Jackie, I'm a registered nurse,
and I want the shelf put up.
- I'm Dan, I'm a physical educational professional,
and I also want the shelf put up.
Just haven't gotten around to it yet.
- No he has not.
In over two months.
- [Narrator] Dan and Jackie list the pros and cons
of finally putting the shelf up.
- Putting up the shelf,
it could really help things around here.
We could put things on it, and it would clear up space
instead of taking up space on the floor.
- I think the toughest part is gonna be
the actual installation.
There's gonna be screws, screwdrivers,
probably some drilling, those little anchor things.
So, just a lot of moving parts.
- There are no cons to putting up the shelf. No.
- I think at some point we were just both like,
maybe the shelf doesn't have to go up.
- I want that shelf on the wall.
- [Narrator] Entering the picture right on time
is our shelf installation expert, Jeff.
Jeff is Dan and Jackie's neighbor;
he's installed three different shelves in his own home.
- I'm super excited to jump into the project
I know firsthand what it can be like to put up a shelf.
I remember my first shelf very well,
and at times it's overwhelming.
But you push through, and I know that I can give Dan
the push he needs to get it done.
Alright Dan, I see we're looking at a wide open wall here,
tell me what we're thinking.
- Yeah, the idea is that the shelf was gonna go there.
- Yup. Yup. Got it.
Alright, we got a wall, we got a shelf, we got some tools.
I think we have everything we need to get it done.
- Oh, the thing is I was just watching the game,
so, probably gonna go back to doing that.
- I like sports too, but if Dan thinks this shelf
is gonna put itself up, he's dreaming.
It might be a shelf, but the window of opportunity is now.
- I just had a conversation with Jackie,
and I should do it now.
- Okay, great, let's get to work.
First things first, we'll locate the studs in the wall.
And, I'm actually not finding any studs in here.
- That's because they're both out here.
(laughter)
- So what we'll do instead is we'll use plastic wall anchors
and we'll go in that way.
- Mhmm. - Right. Let's go.
- [Jeff] Okay so, what we're doing; we're looking
for the perfect height for our shelf, and just mark that.
So now we're just going to pre-drill for the anchors.
Take those anchors now and hammer them in.
Great, so we got our first bracket in,
now we're gonna take our level on top of the bracket
and extend it over to our next anchor point
so we can make sure that our shelf is nice and straight.
Alright Dan, here's where it gets a little tricky.
- Oh, I knew it.
- You're going to take this shelf,
you're gonna put it on top,
and you're gonna screw it in through the brackets.
- I don't know about this.
Is it done? - It's done.
Jackie, you wanted the shelf put up on the wall
because its a shelf and that's where it belongs.
Dan, you weren't entirely sold on things.
Guys, open your eyes and take a look at this wall now.
- Oh my god.
I cannot believe this. - Yeah, you know.
- Dan, how long would you say it took us to put that up?
- Six, seven hours?
- What if I told you six or seven minutes?
- Dan, you got it done!
I'm just so grateful to Dan and Jeff for getting it done.
- Yeah, it only took a few short hours and then we were--
- Minutes. - Yeah.
- We got it done.
- [Both] We got it done.

Online Course Creation: Brainstorming Made Simple and Easy - Duration: 5:41.
In today's video we're going to talk about online course creation.
I'm going to show you a simple and easy way
to brainstorm your online course.
So stay tuned.
If you haven't done so already,
hit that subscribe button. And don't forget to hit the bell for notifications.
One of the tools that I like to use is called realtimeboard.com
It is a great tool
for organizing your thoughts and spreading things around.
This can be used by yourself.
Or you can actually share it and do it as a team.
Now for demonstration purposes, I decided to go with a meditation class.
I've been meditating all my life
so this one was pretty easy to figure out.
The first thing I do is I put up a tag on the left hand side.
Which is, where the person is beginning.
This is the person you are targeting. The person you're reaching out to.
And the person in this one is person new to meditation.
At the opposite end on the left,
is the results that you want them to get from taking this course.
This would be the benefits of attending your course.
And I want them to be able to meditate with ease.
Now as you can see here,
I have 4 rows and I have 6 columns.
These six columns are the modules.
And 6 is pretty common. You can make it 4 for a short course.
Or you can make it 8 for a longer course.
It just depends on what you're wanting to do.
I put text here at the top because pretty much every module is going to have text.
Then underneath that I put video,
audio and PDF.
These are the four essential elements that will be in a course.
Now for the first one I put intro.
Because I want to do an introduction and an overview of what the course is going to be about.
Explain the benefits
and what they're going to learn in the course.
Besides to text, I thought doing a short video would be a great idea for the intro.
In the second module,
I decided with the topic preparing your space.
Now, I've got the text here that's going to talk about how to prepare your space,
and instead of using a video or audio,
I'm going to include a PDF list
of items and things they need to prepare their space.
In module number 3,
I titled this one start simple.
And it's just the basics of getting started.
I decided to go with a video in that one.
And not an audio or a PDF.
In module number 4,
I picked different types of meditation.
There are so many different types out there that I decided
to go with a video talking about the different types of meditation.
I decided to go with a PDF to list several different types of meditation.
But because one of the types of meditation is a guided meditation,
I decided to also include an audio in that.
So including an audio guided meditation
for them to try out in this one.
In module number 5 here,
I have integrating meditation into your everyday life.
I decided to go ahead and go with a video with that one.
Explaining how to integrate
meditation into your everyday life.
And then module 6 here, I have review.
This is just kind of going back over what they have learned.
Also in the sixth and last module,
you may want to include a call to action if you have an advanced course that you're wanting them to followup with.
This would be a great place
if you want to sell an add-on, like maybe you
recorded a whole bunch of guided meditations,
and you want to offer to sell the audios of those to them.
This would also be a great place, If you have a
shop that sells items that they could use when they're meditating.
Maybe yoga mat.
Maybe a diffuser.
Something that would go along with their meditate. This would be a great place to add on those ecommerce items.
So this is a basic layout and structure.
Once you figure out what you want to talk about,
figure out your starting point, your ending point,
And then just go through how to get from your starting to your ending,
in the simple steps.
And whatever those steps are become the modules.
And then you can write out the text for those.
And after you write out the text you can make any videos,
audios and PDFs that you need to go with each module.
And now you have a plan
on how to get started on making your content.
I hope this video is helpful. If you have any questions,
please drop them down below. I will include a link
to realtimeboard,cim in the description.
Thanks for watching.
Hey, thanks for watching.
If you haven't already done it,
hit that subscribe button.
And give us a thumbs up.
We'll see you next time

By Small and Simple Things: One LDS Woman Makes a Big Impact - Duration: 4:13.
All over the world stuff is going to waste.
I mean, I really believe that the
earth is full
and there's enough and to spare.
God's expecting us to figure out
how to manage our resources and how to share our resources.
When my kids were at home,
whenever there was a service opportunity or they needed hours,
say, they wanted to be a service scholar at school
or Eagle Scout, I'd say, "You should
collect the produce from our neighbors!"
They didn't want to do that, so after all
my kids were grown, I was traveling with one of my daughters
and I said, "I really felt disappointed that nobody wanted
to collect our neighbors surplus."
She looked me square in the face and said,
"Well, why don't YOU do it?"
Because I don't need service hours? Because I don't, you know,
I don't need service hours? I need service hours!
So that made me think, yeah...
be the change you want to see.
For years, I thought you couldn't take food to the food bank.
Like, I thought if it could be done, they would already be doing this.
I was able to copy and paste some drawn carrots
and I put together a little flyer.
I just took it and put one on every doorstep in my neighborhood and
then, I went back to school to work on a master's degree
and I didn't really know in what, I just knew that I was supposed to go back to school.
And, all my cohorts were doing these elaborate, amazing save-the-world things
and I was conflicted. I really didn't know
what to do my project on or what to study.
One of my professors knew that I had
been making this attempt in my neighborhood
and she said, "Pat, why don't you do that?"
and I said, "Because it's not that successful! It's so little, it's not saving the world."
and she said, "But, it's something that really has a chance of having an impact."
and
I thought, "I think this is why I went back to school."
I was supposed to go back to school.
This is so under tapped. I mean, it sounds so silly...
I'm not doing farms or orchards or... I'm just tapping into backyard gardeners.
So, I spend my days either taking fliers around neighborhoods or public places
like libraries or community centers.
I needed to build relationships with the pantries that were receiving everything.
Everything I can think of, if I have an idea in the middle of the night
I get up and write it down.
Walking out my front door in the morning, or anytime during the day and seeing
that somebody has brought me their...
they've gone to the effort to bring me their produce...like...
that's silly? But it's so amazing!
And then I think probably the most rewarding, if there can be,
is to see the people that I get to take it to
to the pantries who run out to help me carry it in who are so emotional
that they're allowed to have something that's fresh with zero food miles.
Like I can't get over how grateful people are to have fresh produce.
I didn't know how this would be received, you know.
I sometimes would pull into the food bank
prior to this year and I'd be behind a truck that was dropping off
A LOT of stuff and then I'd have my two little bags of tomatoes and cucumbers
and sometimes people would say, "Thank you!" and sometimes it's like,
"Is this it?" I'm like, "Yes!" and I drive away quickly.
People want to share. They don't want it to waste.
Just like me, they didn't know it was possible.
People who had stopped growing gardens
because they didn't know how to manage their surplus
are gardening again.
People are looking for ways to be involved.
Even people who don't garden... I don't know,
it's like this thrilling little electricity.
I don't feel like it's me, but I feel like the Lord is allowing me to be a part of it.
and that it will, I hope... I hope it will grow and take on a life of its own.
But right now, I'm what He's got.

Book Review - A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell - Duration: 4:53.
Hi guys. I'm Beth. This is Read Remark. Today we're going to talk about
A Simple Favor by Darcy Bell.
Boy oh boy is A Simple Favor by Darcy Bell so much fun.
There are lots of twists and turns. It's a real potboiler of a novel. It centers
around two friends... best friends maybe, or not really. The first one is Stephanie.
She is a mommy blogger who seems like the most sanctimonious kind of mom that
there is. She's the type of mom who would look at another mother's choices and
turn up her nose at them like, "I would never give my child a pacifier past that
age," or, "oh no, you should not let them play with toy guns." You know she's just
the most sanctimonious possible mommy. She starts all of her blogs with,
"Hi, Moms." And so it's really, it's really fun. That alone would be a super interesting
character to follow. She doesn't really have any friends
(I wonder why) and she has become friends, almost fanatically so, with this new in
town woman named Emily. Emily is everything that Stephanie is not. Emily
is poised, glamorous, put together. She works full-time (not that that makes her any better than a stay at home mom, for the record). She has a really
high-powered glamorous job,. But they both have these children who are the same age,
around five. And they bond over that and go to each other's homes for wine, girl
talk, stuff of that nature.
All of a sudden, Stephanie (I mean Emily) goes missing. She had asked Emily (I mean Stephanie) to watch her child
for a couple of days while she's away on business, but she never returns from the
trip. she's missing Stephanie is beside herself and blogs with a fervor of a mad
woman trying to ask all the moms out there to be on the lookout and help her
find her missing friend Stephanie meanwhile Stephanie's husband is kind of
it's hard to describe his character sometimes he looks like a bumbling idiot
sometimes he looks like an uncaring CAD he was still very handsome and
successful it's hard to know exactly which version of this man to believe
really he's extraneous to the story he doesn't
matter so much the story is about Stephanie and Emily and their dynamic
but he did prove to be quite a stumbling block for both women now as soon as
Emily goes missing her husband and Stephanie are kind of like oh I'm so sad
that Emily's gone let's make out which is so odd so odd but it shows a trail of
bad choices and Stephanie's life you know I don't like to engage in slut
shaming usually I'm like you know what girl you go get it
but in this case with Stephanie and her long line of bad bad horrible choices I
was like Oh girlfriend maybe you should just say no to this one maybe I should
just say no this is a bad idea it seems like she was most drawn to that which is
bad for her even though she holds yourself up as this bastion of goodness
and virtue now there are lots of twists and turns that happen from there Emily
is presumed dead but is she really dead I don't know and as her husband really
the guy that he says he is or is he going to put harm upon Stephanie or is
there more to Stephanie than we think and there is actually something vicious
underneath the mommy bloggers skin that she wears you can't really trust any of
these people in this triad of dysfunction and it's very interesting
it's a fun bumpy ride that we go on with them
full of WTF moments this book is being made into a movie coming out soon
starring Blake Lively as the glamorous Emily and Anna Kendrick as the mommy
blogger Stephanie I'm really interested to see what they do with this so short
and sweet fun book a simple favor it's not going to change the world of
mysteries but boy is it a fun ride to be on and it's one
that has a nice Bowl at the end that makes you think oh I see I see what
you're doing there thanks for watching guys I appreciate it and I will catch
you next time bye
you

5 Simple Ways to Detox Your Kidneys - Duration: 8:36.
5 Simple Ways to Detox Your Kidneys
It's worth remembering that your kidneys spend all day purifying your blood by eliminating waste and toxins.
Don't take this important function for granted, because your health and quality of life depend on it.
Why don't we learn five easy ways to keep them healthy and working in top shape?.
The importance of cleansing your kidneys.
Your kidneys don't stop working for an instant.
They filter blood, purify it, remove any excess salt and toxins, trigger hormone release, and as a result of all this, your blood pressure is better regulated and your body has a balance of electrolytes.
Lots of people underestimate the importance of these organs and unknowingly damage them by leading an unhealthy lifestyle.
Eventually, however, problems will arise.
Their creatinine levels will become elevated, kidney function is lost, and the proper filtration of the blood will slow.
You'll begin to feel tired and sick.
And if you think your life is complicated now, imagine what it would be like on dialysis.
In fact, maybe you already know some one who experiences this now and you understand the importance of keeping your kidneys clean, healthy, and strong.
So…why not start today?.
Signs that your kidneys may have problems.
We've all experienced one or more of the symptoms that we're going to describe in this article, and probably take them with a grain of salt – unless they become constant.
For example, some days you might feel more tired or have some swelling in your legs.
This can be perfectly normal, but if it's something that doesn't go away or is accompanied with discomfort or the constant urge to urinate, you should see a doctor.
Continual fatigue.
Swelling in the legs, especially around the ankles.
Itching throughout the body, nervousness.
Frequent urination, much more often than usual.
Loss of appetite, vomiting, and dizziness.
Hands and legs falling asleep.
Constantly looking forward to sleep.
Patches of skin that become darkened.
5 ways to detox your kidneys.
1,Baking soda.
We're sure you've already heard this recommendation.
Baking soda acts like a natural electrolyte that helps control and regulate the acidity of the blood (pH level).
When you have kidney problems it's normal to suffer from what's known as renal acidosis – increased acidity that alters normal kidney function.
Baking soda helps maintain an optimal pH balance to avoid acidosis, and in addition to this it also helps prevent kidney stones from forming and generally improves overall renal functionality.
It's a good idea to drink a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda at least three times a week.
2,The benefits of apple cider vinegar.
In this case, apple cider vinegar contains an acid that is beneficial to the kidneys.
At first glance this may seem contradictory because we're trying not to raise the level of acidity in the blood, but what really makes apple cider vinegar work is its ability to promote good digestion and help detox the kidneys.
Try having a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar after your main meal.
Why not give it a shot?.
3, The best natural herbs for your kidneys.
Phytotherapy is an ideal way to cleanse your kidneys, by filtering the bloodstream, reducing inflammation, and preventing kidney stone formation.
So what are the best plants and herbs to use to make a good afternoon tea? Here you go:.
Basil, which is an excellent treatment to avoid painful kidney stones.
You can make a tea using 5 leafs of basil and a tablespoon of honey.
Dandelion: This is one of the best herbs for your digestion, liver, and kidneys.
It's amazing for a detox regimen.
Just make a tea using two teaspoons of the dried flowers and boil them for 15 minutes.
Drinking this once a day is perfect.
Ginger: If you're already wild about ginger you're in luck.
It's considered to be one of the best natural roots for treating problems like inflammation, pain, infections… and it also purifies and strengthens the liver and kidneys.
4,The best fruits and juices.
Watermelon: This is a healing fruit and natural medicine for the kidneys.
Why? Because it contains lots of water and above all, because it helps purify the body's tissues and bloodstream.
Remember that it's always best to eat it while it's fresh.
Pomegranate juice: Thanks to its astringent properties this acidic juice is an essential component to a healthy diet that you shouldn't miss out on.
5,A tablespoon of olive oil with lemon in the morning.
As you know, olive oil is rich in oleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties that help care for your body.
It's also packed with monounsaturated fats that are good for the kidneys.
In the mornings, just blend a tablespoon of olive oil with a few drops of lemon juice and it will help prevent formation of kidney stones.
Why not get started now?.
