Fedway Associates is a New Jersey-based wine and spirits wholesaler with a rich history.
The company got its start in 1933 after prohibition.
Today, it services licensed package stores, restaurants, and bars throughout the state.
The company currently operates in a state-of-the-art 539,000 square foot distribution facility
in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Prior to 2012, Fedway was operating in Kearny, New Jersey with a Hytrol system that was nearly
20 years old.
As they began looking for updated solutions with a smoother transport of product, Hurricane
Sandy hit New Jersey on October 29, 2012.
Had it not been for the issues that we had with Hurricane Sandy basically destroying
virtually all of our inventory and a vast majority of our conveyor system in that building,
we probably just would have looked to upgrade or modify the system up there to the newer
technologies and newer equipment.
But we realized we needed to make a move, get out of that building, get out of harm's
way, so that led us to moving into this new building and it gave us an opportunity to
basically design a system here that would somewhat replicate what we had in the old
building, but take us to newer levels of efficiencies and productivity.
Fedway worked closely with Hytrol's Integration Partner to design a new warehouse system that
would increase accuracy and throughput, incorporate a WCS, and decrease product breakage, which
had recently increased from changes in the packing industry.
Because less supportive packaging was becoming the standard, it was imperative that the conveyor
system design provided little to no movement of items within the cartons.
Hytrol and the IP worked very closely with Fedway and the team in understanding their
current system and the challenges they had with their current system.
In fact, we made a few site visits to their facility to watch their system operate.
So, we understood, first hand, some of their challenges and the things they wanted to accomplish
with the new system.
The collaboration between Hytrol and the integration partner resulted in a brand-new warehouse
that includes an additional 106,000 square feet of space on an elevated mezzanine for
sorting and staging.
Fedway's conveyor system features cartons traveling on belt-over roller conveyors, from
picking to a 60-foot sliding shoe sorter, to a double-stacked roller transfer, and finally
to a 24-volt spur, where the packages wait in waves to be loaded for delivery.
Hytrol individualized the conveyors to help meet the specific needs of Fedway.
Rubber tires were placed on the divert wheels of the roller transfer for better support
and diversion.
A herringbone roller design was utilized to stop cartons from hitting the conveyor guardrail
and two-inch rollers on the roller beds offered a smoother ride for the cartons.
These steps resulted in a reduction in breakage of more than 70 percent.
When we looked at designing the system, we wanted to both develop a system that was going
to increase our productivity and make us much more efficient in a way that we went about
operating our business.
But also, a big component of it was that we experienced a tremendous amount of breakage
in our old facility, and that it was critical that we were able to reduce breakage with
the design of our system in this building.
Another big piece is the zero-pressure accumulation system, which doesn't allow the cases as
they stop, to knock into each other.
Another issue was how the cases release out of the stop sorter, and the cascade release
system definitely attributed to the reduction in breakage.
We've been able to recognize upwards in the range of about a 75 percent reduction
in bottle breakage.
Hytrol's state-of-the-art warehouse control system helped with product traceability and
inventory accuracy.
Cartons are tracked throughout the warehouse and sorted to be loaded on the trucks in reverse
delivery sequence.
The system ensures that the correct cartons are shipped by utilizing an alarm that triggers
belt stoppage to remove wrong picks.
I think the biggest benefit is our throughput rate.
We're able to operate and able to put more cases through system in the same number of
hours.
What would typically take us in our old location approximately 12, 13 hours.
In our new system we are to do that in a 10-hour shift, as well as get some replenishment efforts
completed as well.
And then finally a large factor is the reduction in maintenance costs and maintenance times
associated with keeping the operation running.
We're also in the process of implementing a software package to allow us to track the
performance of each mechanical part throughout the system and its lifespan, and be able to
perform preventative maintenance versus of reactive maintenance.
Fedway's Elizabeth facility is a testament of the long-standing relationship of Hytrol
and its integration partner.
Their collaboration efforts resulted in a cutting-edge conveyor system that improved
Fedway's customer service, throughput, and accuracy.
Going back to Fedway almost a year after the system went into production and looking around,
there's no sign of a lot of spillage that's occurred.
The belts look almost brand new, it's being very well maintained by Fedway.
It's also a sign that we're not having a lot of breakage occurring, we don't have
spillage all over the belts.
Almost a year after being in production, it almost looks brand new.
We had Hytrol equipment in the old building and we were very satisfied with it and decided
to use the same equipment here in this building.
All of our experiences with Hytrol have always been that they've exemplified the best of
the best of the industry, true professionalism and a quality product that is second to none.
We've been very, very happy with both the integrator as well as the Hytrol product.

5 Signs You're In a Toxic Relationship | Spoken Word Poetry | By: Poetic Daisy - Duration: 1:36.
5 Signs You're In A Toxic Relationship
There was a time when all was well But now you can't tell
Why, but things seem undone And you want to run
From what was started, Because it's departed
From being positive, now it makes you sick- And you wonder if it's a toxic
Relationship.
One sign is if it's all take and no give Because really, who would want to live
With someone not getting anything in return.
You might learn That certain things can't or won't be
given But it's not a good sign if you're the
only one driven To make things work.
Do they bring out the worst In you,
Cause you to do Things out of your character, things you later
regret Make you feel you're on the set
Of a drama show?
Do things often go Below the belt, to dishonesty and disrespect
Do you feel the deck Is stacked against your favor?
Unable to savor A moment's peace due to judgement and criticism
just alike.
They ruin your appetite With the lies
And cause tears to fill your eyes With every word.
Do you feel unheard because there's no effective communication
And you're still waitin' On that to improve?
Well at the risk of sounding rude You might be in a toxic relationship, get
out while you can Or seek outside help to take a stand
For positive changes.
The End.

Jersey Shore's Pauly D Weighs in on Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's 'Volatile' Relationship - Breaking News 247 - Duration: 5:59.
Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio is supporting his friend and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation castmate Ronnie Ortiz-Magro as he navigates his up and down relationship with Jen Harley
"It's rough because he's my brother, he's a big dude and you don't want to see anybody upset, but he's going through real life stuff
That's why our show is kind of dope, people are going through what he goes through and you get to see how we help him with it, how he handles it
He's still going through it though," Pauly D told reporters at the Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars Party on Tuesday in L
A. Although Pauly D, 38, is not facing the same relationship battles as Ortiz-Magro, he is championing him on from the sidelines — and offering some advice
"I told him to keep it off social media. He didn't listen. Every time he does it, I'm like, 'my dude, what are you doing?' For some reason he vents on social," said Pauly D
While the pair is good friends, Pauly D didn't realize the extent of Ortiz-Magro, 32, and Harley's drama
"No, I had no idea. I didn't think it was going to get that volatile at all, but he takes to social media
I keep up with him through his Instagram story. He tells how he feels, that's how I know
If he's single, I know it, if he's taken, that's how I know," said Pauly D. "I hit him up like, 'you good?' Before my way over here I wanted to see the status, they seem good
" As a father himself — he is dad to 5-year-old daughter Amabella Sophia — Pauly D can relate to Ortiz-Magro, who shares Ariana Sky with Harley, and has advised his friend to put his baby girl ahead of everything else
"The only thing is, I told him, now you have something to put ahead of everything, make sure she's good first
That's the number one priority, then you work on your relationship, work on yourself, whatever, but now that you have a baby, that comes first," said Pauly D
In December, the Jersey Shore alum announced that he was expecting his first child — a girl! — with Harley three months into their relationship
Harley — also mom to an 11-year-old son named Mason — was six months along in her pregnancy at the time of the announcement
In early April, the couple welcomed their baby girl. But since the pair has welcomed their daughter, they haven't been free of problems — including cheating allegations, a contentious public feud, a physical altercation, an arrest and heated arguments
Despite their ups and downs, Ortiz-Magro and Harley have been spending time as a family as they attempt to work through their issues
Earlier this month, Ortiz-Magro and Harley squeezed in a little vacation time with their daughter in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Harley shared a photograph of the pair posing together in their beach attire
Despite the pair's volatile history, the reality star draped his arm around Harley's shoulder in the image
He also skipped the 2018 Video Music Awards to spend time with his 4-month-old baby girl
"Everyone keeps asking where I've been, Why wasn't I at the #VMA's or other #JSFV events with my lovely cast mates
I've chosen to take some time off to be a father to my beautiful daughter," he captioned a photo of his daughter
"I've got to experience everything in my life thankfully because of #JS & #MyFans
There's nothing that can replace the feeling of being a father," he said. After thanking fans for their love and support, he also set the record straight for those who are questioning if his time on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has come to an end
"No I have not quit #jS. I am just choosing to take time so I can watch my daughter grow and be apart of a life not just in her life and be an amazing father," he explained
"I rather be there for her in person than have to watch her grow through Text messages & IG posts
"

Don't make assumptions in your relationship |seek clarity by asking questions| 2018 - Duration: 5:27.
one of the biggest mistakes I see many
couples are making today is that they
are making assumptions about their
spouse they're making assumptions about
their partners never ever make
assumptions in your relationship if
you're making assumptions right now it's
time for you to unlearn and to reprogram
your brain you know that was something
that I did in the early parts of my
marriage I think my wife and I we both
did it where we assumed that the other
person knew exactly what we wanted
alright the other person knew exactly what
was needed and therefore because of that
you know there were arguments and there
were times when we had disagreements but
I want to tell you if you want to enjoy
a fulfilling relationship don't assume
that your partner knows exactly what you
need first of all you need to state what
it is that you want what it is that you
need case in point we came from two
different backgrounds my wife came from
one background and I came from another
okay and traditionally we have been
taught that a woman should get up and
make her husband his meal every morning
okay or make his meals every day now
that is quite dependent on your working
situations your working conditions who
is working are both of you working
outside the home and so on and so forth
you know what that is how society has
painted it that is the tradition that
most of us we have inherited but your
your situation may be different okay and
so going into marriage I never had the
opportunity of seeing my mom and dad
living together like two married people I
never had that opportunity and therefore
as a result when I learned I learned it
from society I learned it from what I
hear and from what I've read and so on
and what I've seen with other people but
I never actually had the example of my
parents neither did my wife because she
never
with her mom and father being together
but we both had our own expectations and
therefore we assumed I assumed that my
wife knew and therefore over a period of
time I had to develop a level of
patience with her recognizing that she
came from a home where she never saw her
parents doing what I was expecting her
to do to make my meals to ensure that my
clothes were ironed and to ensure that
everything was intact she never did see
those things so your relationship is a
learning process and therefore guys you
must be patient with your woman and
ladies you must be patient with your
husband or with your man because he may
not know he is coming from a background
where he may not know you know some of
you however you are coming from
backgrounds where you have seen your
parents living a particular way and that
is the expectation that you will have of
your spouse unless you've learned
otherwise and you have your own
expectations that you have created so
therefore never assume that your partner
knows what you need ask questions and
make requests okay
so whatever it is that you need from
your husband whatever it is that you
need from your wife instead of being
upset getting all vexed up and causing a
conflict and an argument and so on you
ask her and you share with her or you
ask him and you tell him never assume
that he knows or that she knows because
he can't see in your mind and she cannot
see in your mind so instead of making
assumptions you ask and you state what
your requirements are or I shouldn't say
requirements but you state your requests
and you you you let your partner know
what it is that you are expecting and
once you lay those things out and you
stop assuming I can tell you your
relationship will be taking a turn for
the best
for the better okay for the better and
for the best rather so instead of making
assumptions you state and you ask
questions to find out and when you ask
your questions and you get an answer
then what you want to do is restate the
answer that your partner gives you ask
them back what they have stated in a
question form you know so am i
understanding that you're saying I
should be home at five o'clock at five
in the evening and she'll say yes or
she'll say no but never assume that your
partner knows because he may not know
and she may not know so don't make
assumptions in your relationship it's
better for you to ask questions and for
you to find out and dig deep so that you
can know exactly what your partner needs

Totenham's Danny Rose opens up on relationship with Pochettino - Daily News - Duration: 2:56.
</form> Danny Rose says getting picked for Tottenham's team for their morale-boosting away win over Manchester United was a "massive" show of faith from boss Mauricio Pochettino
The England left-back has been linked with a transfer away from Spurs all summer, but the the Londoners facing a Champions League squad headache he is now unlikely to leave before the continental window closes on Friday
Misfits Vincent Janssen, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou and Juan Foyth look set to left off the list of eligible players boss Pochettino will submit on Friday for group-stage action following Thursday afternoon's draw
He is already restricted to 22 men on his A-list because of Spurs' lack of home-grown players — Eric Dier does not count as he grew up in Portugal
Losing Rose would reduce the Tottenham manager's options even further. It certainly may explain why the England international was brought in from the cold to play at Old Trafford
"Monday night was massive for me," Rose admitted. "Even though there is speculation, the manager still trusts and believes in me to put me into such a massive game, where he didn't need to change anything
"For me, over the last four or five years we've worked together, Monday is probably the biggest thing he has done for me
"I have to thank him because it would have been easy for him not to play me given the speculation
If I'm called upon, I'm going to give everything — like I did on Monday. "And if I'm here past Friday, which I'm expecting to be, it will be great
I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at the end of the season. "Me and the manager have had a conversation over the phone, as well as two one-hour meetings over the last couple of weeks
We're both aware of the situation." Tottenham's success in the Champions League last season means they will be in Pot Two for the draw, where they will learn the teams between them and a third trip to the knockout phase of the competition in four attempts
