Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

This site contains two of the most active volcanoes in the world, Mauna Loa (4,170 m

high) and Kilauea (1,250 m high), both of which tower over the Pacific Ocean.

Volcanic eruptions have created a constantly changing landscape, and the lava flows reveal

surprising geological formations.

Rare birds and endemic species can be found there, as well as forests of giant ferns.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park contains Mauna Loa and Kilauea, two of the worlds most

active and accessible volcanoes where ongoing geological processes are easily observed.

EARLIER THIS YEAR, CONGRESS GAVE STATES $380 MILLION TO SAFEGUA THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS.

AND REPUBLICANS WANT TO KNOW HOW THAT MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT BEFORE THEY RECOMMIT TO MORE.

IN 2017 WHEN HOMELAND SECURITY DESIGNATED ELECTIONS AS CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE, MANY SECRETARIES OF STATE INITIALLY OPPOSED THE DESIGNATIO JIM CONDOS, VERMONT'S SECRETARY

OF STATE, WAS ONCE A VOICE OF OPPOSITION BUT HAS CHANGED HIS MIND.

HOW DID THE STATE OF VERMONT USE THAT MONEY?

WHAT CAME OUT OF IT?

JIM CONDOS: SO FIRST THING WE DID WAS WE DID A COMPLETE PENETRATION TEST OF OUR ELECTION SYSTEM, WHICH CAME OUT IN GOOD SHAPE.

AND THEN, WE'RE ADDING TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION FOR ANY ACCESS INTO OUR VOTER ELECTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

SOLEDAD: DO YOU HAVE -- I MEAN, DO YOU HAVE PROOF THAT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BREAK INTO YOUR VOTER ELECTORAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM EVERY DAY?

WE MONITOR EVERY DAY.

AND ONE OF THE THINGS THAT -- WE HAVE A GRAPH THAT SHOWS THAT SINCE APRIL OF THIS YEAR, WE'VE BEEN AVERAGING APPROXIMATELY TWO MILLION SCANS PER DAY.

ABOUT 800,000 OF THOSE PER DAY ARE WHAT WE CONSIDER UNAUTHORIZED SCANS.

THE GOOD NEWS IS WE HAVE THE DEFENSES IN PLACE TO BLOCK THEM.

I THINK THAT FRANKLY, IT KIND OF SURPRISED ME TO HEAR THAT.

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, WE HAD $380 MILLION APPROPRIATED TO THE STATES.

AND WE DIDN'T START RECEIVING THAT MONEY UNTIL SOMETIME AROUND THE END OF MAY OR EARLY JUNE.

AND TO THINK THAT WE WOULD HAVE SPENT THAT MONEY ALREADY IS REALLY UNREASONABLE.

SOLEDAD: I MENTIONED THAT IT WAS NOT EXACTLY A BIPARTISAN VOT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BOB CORKER WHO SIDED WITH THE DEMOCRATS ON IT.

WHY IS THIS A POLITICAL ISSUE?

THE SECURITY OF ELECTIONS IT SEEMS TO ME THAT EVERYBODY WOULD BE LIKE, "YEAH, SECURE.

THAT WOULD BE A GOOD THING." JIM CONDOS: WELL, WE THINK THAT VOTING IS THE BEDROCK OF OUR DEMOCRACY AND WE THINK IT'S VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE THE RESOURCES TO BE ABLE TO FOCUS ON

THE JOB AT HAND.

WE HAVE BEEN FOCUSED SINCE ESPECIALLY SINCE 2016 WHEN OUR WORLD WAS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, AND WE'VE BEEN DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO SECURE OUR ELECTIONS PROCESS.

SOLEDAD: SO, SHOULD PEOPLE NOT JUST IN VERMONT BUT AROUND THE COUNTRY BELIEVE AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME THEIR VOTE AND THE ELECTION IS SAFE -- OR IT'S NOT SAFE?

This is Salutation To The Day from The Message

of the Divine Iliad Volume one by Doctor Walter Russell.

The dawn telleth the coming of the new day.

I turn my eyes to the morning and purge myself in the purity of the dawn.

My Soul quickeneth with the beauty of the dawn.

Today is, and will be.

Yesterday was, and has been.

My yesterday is what I made it.

I see it in memory, perfect or imperfect.

My today is what I Will to make it.

I Will to make it perfect.

I am man.

I have free right to choose.

I may do as I will to do.

I have the power to build the day or to rend the day.

The day will be of my making, either perfect or imperfect, good or bad as I choose to live

it in spirit or in flesh, on the mountain top or earthbound.

The day is of my choosing.

None shall stay my hand in the making of the day.

If I rend the day I build ten other days, mayhap ten times ten, to undo the rending.

The Universal One will not allow this day to go unlived to the glory of Him whom I am

nor to the fulfillment of His command, nor to the fulfillment

of His purposes.

If I build the day I will have lived the day to the glory of the One in the fulfillment
