Arsenal haven't had much to celebrate in European competition in recent years, but they've certainly benefited from TV money

Last season saw the Gunners compete in the Europa League for the first time since the 1999/2000 campaign and finishing sixth in the Premier League as Arsene Wenger's reign came to an end means they are doing so once again this term

Before that it was four seasons in the Champions League where they were eliminated at the exact same stage each year

In 2013/2014 they came through a tough looking group which contained Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Marseille to reach the knockout rounds only to be beaten by Bayern Munich despite drawing the second leg at the Allianz Arena

The 2014/2015 was one of disappointment as a 3-1 home defeat by AS Monaco proved decisive, they then fell to Barcelona and Lionel Messi in 2015/2016 and were humiliated 10-2 by Bayern on aggregate in 2016/2017

A change in competition proved helpful for the north London outfit as they went all the way to the semi-final in the Europa League last season before losing to eventual winners Atletico Madrid, who had dropped down from the Champions League

Despite little to no progression in European football elite club competition, the Gunners have received a total of €219m from European TV money over the past five years

For comparison, the Swiss Ramble have revealed that only Manchester City (€279m) have received more money than Arsenal of all the Premier League clubs

Chelsea aren't too far behind the London rivals having received €217m since winning the Europa League in 2013, Manchester United have brought in €172m, last season's Champions League finalists Liverpool have received €153m, Tottenham Hotspur (€140m), while Leicester City complete the list at €82m

Arsenal will be hopeful of a return to Europe's top table for next season and can do so by finishing in the top four or by emulating Atletico Madrid

PG&E Will Take a Big Hit from California's Wildfires -- but How Much? - Duration: 2:20.

Chris Hill: The wildfires in California are being felt on Wall Street as shares a PG&E

have been all over the place lately.

Shares of California's largest utility have been falling this week until Friday, Matty,

when the shares rebounded more than 30%. What is going on here?

Matt Argersinger: Have we ever talked about PG&E?

Hill: I don't think we have.

Argersinger: It's actually the country's largest utility company.

It's California's largest utility company.

Over 16 million people use PG&E in some form or fashion to get energy.

This is a really tragic story, what's happening in California, these devastating wildfires.

We know we've seen all the property damage, and, of course, the loss of life.

The problem with PG&E is that there's a good chance that electrical equipment failure on

their part has caused at least one of the fires, if not more.

If you think about the damage that we've already seen, the loss of life, people are already suing PG&E.

So, the liabilities here could run up well into to the billions.

The problem is, they're already liable for about $1.7-1.8 billion in damages from last

year's fires in California that they were found to be liable for.

It's really bad news for the company.

Coming into Friday, actually, the stock was down 40% in just the week to a 15-year low.

It's bouncing back on Friday though because the California Public Utilities Commission

president has said that allowing the state's largest utility company to go bankrupt is

probably not a good idea. That could be so.

Certainly, a bankruptcy of that size, for a company that's so influential,

touches so many lives in California, would probably be a problem.

It might prevent the company from fixing a lot of damage that's being caused.

It's really a tough story. It's evolving, as we see.

But there's no question that this is a company that's going to have billions and billions

of dollars' worth of liabilities now and into the future.

Speculating on whether or not they can actually get through it is probably not a great idea.

Tiger vs. Phil Purse: How Much Money Does Winner Get? | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:08.

Tiger vs. Phil Purse: How Much Money Does Winner Get? | Heavy.com

The stakes are high in the Tiger vs.

Phil matchup as the winning golfer earns $9 million.

There is no prize for second place as it is a winner-take-all format per Bleacher Report.

The match is taking place at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, but it will be closed to the public.

The only way for fans to watch is by ordering the pay-per-view for $19.99.

Similar to friends enjoying a round of golf, there will also be side bets made during the match.

Woods and Mickelson already have $200,000 at stake for the first hole.

During the press conference, Mickelson challenged Woods to take him up on a bet that he would birdie the first hole.

CBS Sports described the exchange.

"So I've thought a lot about this, and there are spots out on the course that are some great spots for a little challenge," Mickelson said.

"The challenges are coming directly out of our pockets, OK? I feel like first hole is a great hole for me.

In fact, I'm willing to risk $100,000 to say I birdie the first hole.

That's how good I feel heading into this match.

You don't have to take it.

You don't have to take it at all." Here's how the exchange went from there.

Woods: "So you think you can make birdie on the first hole?" Mickelson: "I know I'm going to make birdie on the first hole." Woods: "Double it.".

Woods and Mickelson Can Make Side Bets During the Match.

The exchange felt a bit staged, but these are the kind of conversations that will likely happen during the match.

It is part of the unofficial rules of the match with the money all going to charity as Blecher Report explains.

During the live event competition, both Tiger and Phil will selectively make side challenges against one another.

For instance, they could raise the stakes by challenging the other to a long drive, closest-to-the-pin or similar competition during a hole as they play their match, with money being donated to the winning golfer's charity of choice.

During the press conference, Mickelson admitted he wanted to win the $9 million, but the match is also about bragging rights for the upcoming year.

"This is a unique opportunity to do something that I've had a hard time doing, which is to get a leg up on Tiger even if it's just one day," Mickelson explained to ESPN.

"It's great to win the $9 million, but I just don't want to lose to him.

The bragging rights are the thing.

I want to be able to rub it in; I don't want it to be rubbed in.

I want to sit in the champions locker room at Augusta [National, home of the Masters] and talk smack.".

The purse may be winner-take-all, but both golfers are assuredly getting a share of the pay-per-view sales.

If the pay-per-view sales are high, we are likely to see more of these showcase events in the future.

Tiger vs. Phil Price: How Much Money Does PPV Cost? | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:59.

Tiger vs. Phil Price: How Much Money Does PPV Cost? | Heavy.com

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson square off in a Black Friday match designed for golf fans to hand over their money to watch the event.

How much does it cost to order the Tiger vs.

Phil pay-per-view? You can order the event for $19.99 unless you want to watch it in 4K which runs $29.99.

The price is much lower than normal sports pay-per-view pricing as the organizers see what the interest is for this kind of an event.

"The non-traditional pricing could lure in people sitting at home bored and looking for something to do," Showtime president of sports and event programming Stephen Espinoza explained to USA Today.

"It's an accessible price point that may pull in some people who say, 'It's 20 bucks.

Let's give it a shot.' If it's successful, we could see other creative pricing and some more non-traditional events on pay-per-view.".

Tiger vs.

Phil Pay-Per-View Options Start at $19.99.

Fans have a few different ways to order the event and the pricing is all the same unless you order the 4K broadcast.

Bleacher Report allows you to stream the match on your computer or mobile device.

You can also watch it on your TV through the Bleacher Report app if you have a streaming stick like Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire.

The pay-per-view is also being offered on traditional cable and satellite companies including DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse, Comcast, Cox and Verizon.

Ernie Johnson will handle the play-by-play coverage of the event.

Johnson will be joined by Peter Jacobsen and Darren Clarke for the call.

Charles Barkley, Pat Perez and Samuel L.

Jackson will be part of the pre-match coverage.

Mickelson spoke about the rivalry he has had with Woods over the years.

"He came along and broke every single record I had," Mickelson told ESPN.

"Junior records, college. U.S.

Amateur: I won one, he won three.

At Shadow Creek, I shot the course-record 61.

A couple of years later you shoot 60.

But Friday you've got to do it simultaneously.

You can't come along and do it later.

It's my chance after losing so many tournaments to you, so many majors, to get something back.".

According to OddsShark, Woods is a heavy favorite to win at -190 odds, while Mickelson is a +165 underdog.

Woods spoke about playing against Mickelson over his career.

"He's the greatest of all time," Woods told BBC.

"I've seen him do things with a golf ball that have never been done…We've gone at it for over two decades.

I missed competing [while injured] and being able to go against Phil like this.

It gets my juices flowing, for sure.".

Mickelson noted that part of the reason the event is on pay-per-view was to allow for the golfers' conversations between shots to be broadcast to fans.

"It's an insight into the game which you're normally not able to see," Mickelson explained to BBC.

"It's why it's on pay-per-view, because we had to eliminate the commercials to have that insight in between the shots.".
